About Us

Yes for Kids logo The Benton County Commission on Children and Families (BCCCF) was created in the 1993 Legislative session under House Bill 2004 and reaffirmed in 1999 under Senate Bill 555. The BCCCF is a volunteer board comprised of youth and adults who are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to provide advice to government and non-government agencies on ways to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families.

The BCCCF is also responsible to promote wellness for the children and families, mobilize communities, and develop policy and oversee the implementation of a local coordinated comprehensive plan.

CCF Mission

In order to create a healthy environment for children and families, the Benton County Commission on Children and Families will advocate, facilitate and work to improve the lives of children and families in Benton County.

CCF Sub-committees

Positive Youth Development
Includes: Pregnancy Prevention, Media Campaign, Alcohol & Drug Prevention, and Juvenile Crime Prevention.

Healthy Start Management Team
Oversight committee of Healthy Start of Benton County.

Early Childhood Committee
Review Early Childhood system in Benton County.

Diversity Committee
Develop and champion activities, initiatives and policies that support an inclusive environment in Benton County.

Comprehensive Planning
Coordinate the Benton County Comprehensive Plan.
