In 1998 voters passed an initiative to conduct all elections in Oregon by mail.
November 2, 2010 GENERAL Election
The next scheduled election is the November 2, 2010 General Election. Local voters should receive their ballots on Saturday October 16, 2010.
An absentee voter is a voter who will not be at their local mailing address during the election. Absentee voters will be mailed ballots earlier. To learn more, read Information for Absentee Voters. You may complete an Absentee Application and mail or drop it off at the Elections Office, 120 NW 4th St, Room 13, Corvallis, OR 97330.
The last day a ballot will be mailed is Thursday October 28, 2010. Ballots can be returned to the Elections Office in any of the following ways:
- Mail your ballot with postage. Postmarks do not count.
- Drop your ballot in an official ballot drop box in Benton County, or in any official ballot drop box in Oregon.
- Bring your ballot to the Benton County Elections Office.
POSTMARKS DO NOT COUNT. YOUR BALLOT MUST BE SIGNED AND OFFICIALLY RECIVED BY 8 PM NOVEMBER 2, 2010 TO BE COUNTED.
