North Albany, though located in Benton County, is part of the City of Albany which has jurisdiction over planning and building.


Precinct Committeeperson

This office will appear on the May 15, 2012 Primary Election ballot.

It is recommended that you contact your local party organization before filing.

In order to qualify as a Precinct Committeeperson candidate, you must:

  • Be a member of the major political party you wish to represent for at least 180 days before the deadline for filing a certificate of candidacy;
  • Be 18 years of age by date of the Primary Election;
  • Live in the precinct you wish to represent, or an adjoining precinct;
  • Write-in candidate must have been a member of the party at least 180 days before the date of the election.

Important Precinct Committeeperson candidacy filing dates for the May 15, 2012 Primary Election:

  • First day to file candidacy: February 1, 2012
  • Last day to file candidacy: March 6, 2012

There is no fee for filing as a Precinct Committeeperson.

The form SEL 105 Precinct Committeeperson Candidate Filing is a fillable pdf file and can be viewed or completed using Adobe Acrobat© Reader, which may be downloaded for free if you do not already have it. You may complete the form on your computer by tabbing through the fields and typing the appropriate information. After completing the form, print it and sign it, before submitting it to the elections office either in person or by mail. An original signature is required.
