Yoga
Instructor Emily Barry, an experienced Yoga Instructor who currently teaches at Oregon State University. Classes are open employees and their family members. All levels of experience are encouraged to participate. Classes will have a minimal charge (no more than $5 per session) which will be dependant on the amount of participants signed up.
Yoga classes will start again May 17, 2011.
Brown Bag Series
The goal of the Brown Bag series is to help Benton County employees (and their families) become better overall health and wellness consumers. The meetings are generally held over the lunch hour so employees are encouraged to bring their lunch to the meetings.
Employee Assistance Program: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) consists of a team of psychologists and licensed clinical social workers who help employees and their immediate family members obtain confidential counseling – at no cost – to resolve problems that may be affecting their job performance or quality of life. The EAP is though Reliant Behavioral Health (below).

Tobacco Cessation Programs Available to Benton County Employees:
Employee Assistance Program. Reliant Behavioral Health Personal Advantage - Smoking: Use the Smoking Solution Center to learn about the health risks of smoking, your options for quitting and what to do once you've kicked the habit.

PacificSource Living Healthy: Living Healthy is an online program (via PacificSource In Touch for Members) that has two equally important parts: The Readings and the Planner. Together, they take about 30 minutes per day to complete.
PacificSource recommends that participants read one step of the Readings per day and check their Planner daily.

CDC - Mental Health Work Group: The CDC Mental Health Work Group website includes basic public health information on mental health.
While the CDC is not a mental health agency, staff members from across CDC whose work relates to mental health established the mental health work group to support the CDC's overall public health efforts.

Employee ID Bus Pass Program: Benton County has joined the "Group Pass" (PDF) program. The program allows eligible persons to ride the Corvallis Transit System and the Philomath Connection buses anytime by showing their valid identification card. As one of the benefits, Benton County employees are able to take advantage of the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) Program.
The ERH provides peace of mind when leaving your car at home by easing the fear that you'll be stranded without transportation in case of an emergency.
CDC's Lean Works! - A Workplace Obesity Prevention Program: The CDC's Lean Works is a FREE web-based resource that offers interactive tool and evidence-based resources to design effective worksite obesity prevention and control programs.
Hospital-Based Health Education Classes - PacificSource Health Plans: Many local hospitals offer classes on topics that can help you optimize your health. As part of your PacificSource coverage, you can participate in hospital-based health education classes and receive reimbursement. Covered dependents are also eligible for this program!
The program will reimburse all PacificSource members up to $50 per class, series, or program, to a maximum of $150 per member plan year. Learn more...
