Benton County Records and Licenses Office

*PUBLIC NOTICE: The Records & Licenses Office will be CLOSED on Monday February 20th, 2012 in observance of the President's Day holiday.

The Records & Licenses Office is located in the basement of the Benton County Courthouse in room 4, 120 NW 4th Street in Corvallis, OR 97330. Our phone number is 541-766-6831 our fax is 541-766-6675.

The Records & Licenses Office accepts, checks, money orders, Master Card and VISA Debit and Credit Cards, as well as, Discover Credit Cards "consumer convenience fees" are applicable to card payment options.

Within the organization of the County, the Records & Elections office is part of the Administrative Services Department in the Records & Elections Division. The Records and Elections Division is managed by James Morales, the Benton County Clerk.

About Us

In the Records and Licenses Office, you'll find public real property records such as deeds, mortgages, liens, easements and subdivision plats among other public records kept safe for permanent retention. Marriage licenses are issued in this office and civil marriage ceremonies are scheduled each Tuesday afternoon.

Additional services provided by the County Clerk's Records and Elections Division are voter registration, passport applications, elections and dog licenses. The records services in this office include recording in the real property records and management of the County Records Center, a records repository available to every department in the County. The County Clerk also provides staff and support for the Board of Property Tax Appeals.

Permanent public records are microfilmed and filed with the Oregon State Archives in Salem to ensure the continued integrity of public records.
