The Water Project Steering Committee directed the development of Phase I and is currently directing Phase 2 of the Water Project and assesses the growing water supply and quality issues across political boundaries within the County. The Steering Committee is under the direction of Benton County Commissioner (Chair) Linda Modrell.
The Steering Committee, along with the Technical Team and Outreach and Education Team includes representatives from interested parties including city councils, watershed councils, Benton Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) members, federal agencies, and Lane County representatives. All Committee members were appointed by the Benton County Commissioners based on past experience and desire to collaborate on this important project.
