The Benton County Finance and Tax and Budget offices are now located in the Sunset Building, 4077 SW Research Way, in Corvallis (see map).
The Finance and Tax Division is responsible for safeguarding the County's resources and for establishing and maintaining uniform and effective accounting systems. The Finance and Tax Division provides centralized accounting including general ledger, payroll, receipting and accounts payable. It performs the functions of the County Treasurer and the County Property Tax Collector as required under Oregon State Law.
The Division develops and monitors internal controls used to protect county assets and provides risk management services by securing liability and property insurance for the County.

Benton County is inviting applications from licensed insurance agents or brokers to act as the County’s Agent of Record for the purpose of performing insurance services in connection with securing and administering employee benefit insurance contracts. The benefit insurance, primarily health insurance taking effect August 1, 2014 with Lifewise Health Plans of Oregon, serves the approximately 400 full and part-time employees of Benton County.

Benton County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, and to accept that proposal which is in the best interest of the County. Successful firm will be required to enter into a Professional Service contract with Benton County, a copy of which is available for inspection at the address listed below.
