Beg bugs are increasingly being encountered in homes, apartments, hotels, motels, healthcare facilities, dormitories, shelters, and schools. They often spread throughout a building by traveling from room to room or floor to floor either by crawling or via a person. Immigration and international travel have undoubtedly contributed to the resurgence of bed bugs in the U.S. Also changes in modern pest control practice — and less effective bed bug pesticides — are other factors suspected for the recurrence.
