Restaurant Licenses

Benton County Environmental Health issues annual licenses to all restaurants operating throughout the County. To renew your license, payment is due no later than December 31st of each year.

Temporary Restaurant Licenses

To operate and serve food at a public event within Benton County you will need a Temporary Restaurant License from us. You may download and print the application by clicking on the file below.

New Restaurants

To apply for a license to open a new eating facility in Benton County, you must first come by the Environmental Health Division Office, located at 530 NW 27th Street, Corvallis, to pick up a "Restaurant Plan Review Packet."  Your packet can be dropped off at our office or mailed to our office (along with applicable fees).  Please call 541-766-6841 with any questions.

The Plan Review consultation and inspection time is broken down as follows:

Mobile Food Units

To apply for a Mobile Unit license, please stop by our office to pick up the "Mobile Unit Plan Review" packet.  Upon receiving the completed packet and fees the Environmental Health Specialist will inspect, and if approved will issue a license.  For a list of fees please refer to the Licensed Facilities - Food section of our Fee Sheet (PDF).

Environmental Health Mobile Unit Licenses are categorized by "class" type.  There are four different "class" types of Mobile Units.  If you are planning to operate a Mobile Unit, please review the "Mobile Unit Guide" for more detailed information; and also Oregon Administrative Rule 333.162 OAR 333.
