The Mental Health, Addictions, and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee (MHADDAC) was formed in the fall of 2000. This committee was created from the merger of the Mental Health Citizen's Advisory Board and the Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee. MHADDAC meets the first Tuesday of every month from 12 pm–1:15 pm in the Columbia Conference Room (downstairs) at the Benton County Health Department. The committee works on identifying community needs, gaps in services, and advises both the health department and the County Board of Commissioners. Annually the committee provides formal recommendations regarding services to the Board of Commissioners.
The MHADDAC committee is composed of four sub-committees who represent the following special interest areas for the Benton County community, these are:
Sub-committees typically meet once a month in addition to the MHADDAC meeting.
