Benton County's Juvenile Department protects the community through prevention and control of juvenile delinquency. We provide a continuum of supervision and rehabilitation services to youth and families referred to our department. In Oregon, the Sheriff is responsible for maintaining the peace within the county and is directly accountable to the people, as an elected official.
Operations run the gamut from law enforcement duties, to the delivery of civil papers, execution of court orders, incarceration of offenders and supervision of parole/probation clients, organizing search and rescue operations and preparing for and coordinating responses to man-made and natural disasters.
The Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement service to those citizens who live outside Corvallis, and Philomath. The main office is in Corvallis, and a sub-station located in Monroe.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management, Search & Rescue Program provides planning, public education, preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery services related to natural and human-caused disasters.
Staff also provides management of search and rescue services for Benton County and mutual aid support to other counties in Oregon, coordinating over 100 volunteer search and rescue and communications personnel. Read more…
