Welcome to the Special Transportation Fund Program Web Site. The Special Transportation Fund (STF) program promotes Benton County public transportation options for seniors 60 years of age or older, and persons of any age with disabilities who cannot access regular modes of transportation such as fixed route Corvallis Transit System or personal transportation. STF transportation enables these individuals to maintain a reasonable quality of life and level of independence. They need transportation to and from sites for medical, vocational, nutritional, shopping, volunteer, recreational, and other services. (More about us.)

Our partners are confident that we are active listeners; that we are approachable, cooperative, collaborative, and proactive in resolving special transportation issues in Benton County.

The mission of the Benton County Special Transportation Fund Program is to promote transportation options for the elderly and disabled. Transportation options will be secured through development of a network of partnerships among public and private agencies."
The Special Transportation Program of Benton County will promote this mission by:
1. Cooperating to promote fixed route bus systems (Corvallis Transit, Linn-Benton Loop) as the provider of choice for the disabled and elderly able to access these systems.
2. Cooperate in the development of complimentary para-transit service for Corvallis Transit System as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
3. Seek to ensure availability of transportation services in Corvallis for the disabled and elderly unable to use fixed route services including development of evening and weekend services.
4. Work to expand the availability of elderly and disabled transportation service in other communities of the County as need is demonstrated.
5. Promote the efficient use of special transportation resources through coordination of services and sharing of vehicles and other costs.
