The Benton County Sheriff’s Office Civil Division is responsible for preparing and serving court papers and executing orders of the Court. The different types of court papers processed and served include: small claims, summons, subpoenas, garnishments, restraining orders, evictions, orders to show cause, orders of assistance, and other court certified documents.
The Civil Division also processes and serves documents for various state agencies such as the Division of Child Support. Other civil duties include seizing property, selling property, towing abandoned vehicles and taking custody of children as instructed by the courts.
