Welcome to the Benton County Community Corrections home page. We hope you will find the information provided informative and helpful. Benton County is located in the heart of Western Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley stretching across 679 miles of land and water. The population has increased 9.5% over the past 10 years and 86,000 residents currently reside in Benton County. Benton County is the 11th largest of Oregon's 36 counties. The City of Corvallis makes up approximately 69% of the county's population with 55 residents. Corvallis is the county's largest town and is home to Oregon State University.
Benton County Parole and Probation is a part of the Sheriff's Office Corrections Division. With a small jail and low state prison commitment rate, we have proudly established a national reputation for developing highly innovative and cost-effective alternative-to-incarceration programs that really work. Our corrections work crew program received an award for innovation from the National Association of Counties. (Read more about the Parole and Probation Division.)
