The Benton County Search and Rescue Certification Course is offered once a year, beginning the first Thursday in March thru early May. Classes are held Thursday nights 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday’s starting at 8:00 a.m. with various end times.
Current SAR members are also welcome to attend class sessions to refresh on their skills.
The following curriculum will be covered during the SAR Course and other topics may be added.
Benton County Search and Rescue involves not only searching for missing people and rescuing injured hikers, climbers, skiers, hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts, but body recoveries, evidence searches and disaster response as well.
