& Rescue Units
As with any organization, our strength is in our members who are a ready and skilled resource, and who make themselves available literally within minutes of emergency notification.
If you are interested in volunteering with one of our Search and Rescue (SAR) units, complete and return this volunteer application and a unit representative will get back in touch with you.
Search & Rescue Volunteer Organizations

- Benton County Sheriff's Mounted Posse (Posse) – The general meeting is held the first Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Carriage House. Ride nights are every Monday night, except the 1st of each month, 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Benton County Fairgrounds indoor arena.
- Benton County Tracking Unit (BCTU) – Quarterly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 5:30 p.m., Emergency Services office.
- Corvallis Mountain Rescue Unit (CMRU) – Meets the first Tuesday of the month at Benton County Public Works, 320 SW Avery, in the "Day Room" at 7:00 p.m.
- Crisis Support Team – The mission of the Benton County Crisis Response Team is to provide timely critical incident stress management services to individuals, groups and organizations to lessen the immediate and long-term adverse effects of a crisis.
- Mary's Peak Search and Rescue (MPSAR) – Meets the first Monday of each month at Benton County Public Works, 320 SW Avery, in the "Day Room" at 7:00 p.m.
- Region 3 K9 SAR (R3K9SAR) - Team meetings are ad-hoc. A meeting may be requested by any R3K9 member by email to the secretary. Meetings may be held in person or by email exchange.
