If your house is in the 100-year floodplain, there is a 26% chance you will get flooded during the term of a 30-year mortgage.

Marine Patrol

Benton County Marine Patrol is funded by the Oregon State Marine Board (80%) and Benton County Sheriff's Office (20%). The boats, trailers and tow vehicles are all the property of the Marine Board provided for the Sheriff's Office use.

About the Marine Patrol

The Patrol operates the following watercraft:

  • 21 foot - 1995 Jetcraft
  • 2001 North River Jet Boat
  • Honda Aquatrax (2)

The focus of the Marine Patrol is to promote boating safety. This is accomplished through boating examinations, citations or warnings when needed, and classroom instruction.

The Benton County Marine Patrol has venue in five counties (Benton, Lane, Linn, Marion and Polk), upon the Willamette, Santiam, Long Tom, and Alsea Rivers. Regular patrol is conducted on the Willamette River from Harrisburg down stream to Buena Vista. As navigability permits, patrols periodically travel the Santiam, Long Tom and Alsea Rivers.
