Benton County Sheriff's Office – Community Involvement

Getting Involved

Join Our Team!
There are many ways you can help your community by volunteering in the Sheriff's Office. By joining our Auxiliary Team, you can help provide supplemental services and community outreach efforts that benefit County residents. For example, you can join the Patrol Reserves to help fight crime as a Reserve Deputy, or help with parole and probation cases.

Learn More About What We Do
Take a class with us. The Citizen's Academy is an opportunity for you to learn about and gain a better appreciation for the challenges and accomplishments of the Benton County Sheriff's Office.

The Citizen Observation Program offers you the opportunity for citizens to observe deputies in action. You can watch a Patrol Deputy, Parole and Probation Officer or Corrections Deputy as they do their jobs. The Ridealong Program, for example, gives you the chance to ride with an Officer and see what goes on during a Sheriff's Office Deputy Patrol work day.

Ask for a speaker for your organization. Our Speakers' Bureau offer speakers on a number of topics that may be of interest to schools and other groups.

Give Us Feedback
The TIPS line is a confidential way for you to share any information you may have regarding possible crime or illegal drug-related activities, or the whereabouts of suspects with an arrest warrant.

Citizen Comment is a way for you to let us know how we're doing, express concerns, report incidents, compliment actions and individuals, or offer suggestions that will help us do an even better job for you.
