Online property search tool rolls out new feature

The Benton County Assessment Department recently launched an enhancement to the web-based property account search tool found at The property search tool now features a hyperlink to a scanned copy of the deed along with deed reference numbers to property sales back to 2002.

To use the web-based property search page, visit Website users can search for properties using a street address, property owner name, account number, tax lot data or sales data. Users will then click on the appropriate account listed in the search results to view the property detail.

When viewing the property detail, users can navigate to Sales page using the Property Account Search menu. On the Sales page, deed reference numbers are listed and hyperlinked to a scanned copy (PDF file format) of the deed.

These enhancements to the web-based property search tool will help title companies, banks, data collectors, fee appraisers, realtors and property owners with understanding details of the prior sales of a property.

“We are pleased to roll-out this new feature to our property search tool. This past March we implemented properties’ value history and tax information on our website, and this latest enhancement is another effort to make improvements that will be of great benefit to the public,” said Tami Tracy, Director of the Benton County Assessment Department

The Assessment Department is consistently one of the top three visited web sections on the county website. In 2017, users visiting the property search tool accounted for roughly 20% of all county website traffic.
