Benton County to reopen in-person access to Board of Commissioners meetings
Wednesday, May 18, 2022
After a two-year hiatus from in-person meeting access, Benton County will re-open Board of Commissioners meetings to the public beginning May 24, 2022.
In addition, the County will continue to utilize the virtual meeting platform, GoToMeeting, to provide additional public access to Board meetings. Public officials will also continue to host live stream meetings on Facebook every first, third and fourth Tuesday. Community members can "like" and "follow" Benton County at https://facebook.com/BentonCoGov. For members of the public not on social media, video recordings of Board meetings are available on the County's YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEwNH7PIM0c5u7yTnTDoSWw. To sign up for meeting notifications, community members can click the “subscribe” button at the top right.
For best results, staff has found that downloading and using the GoToMeeting app is the best way to listen to or view meetings. Community members are encouraged to give themselves plenty of time to download the app and join the meeting before the start time.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, on May 20, 2020, the Benton County Board of Commissioners began hosting public meetings on GoToMeeting, providing access virtually and by phone.
County facility lobbies have remained open to in-person public access since January 3, 2022.
Board of Commissioner's meetings are held at the Kalapuya Building located at 4500 SW Research Way, Corvallis.
