The Corvallis to Amtrak Connector, a service provided by Benton County Transportation, is being discontinued, effective November 4, 2019, and replaced by the expansion of a separate existing Benton County Transportation service, the Coast to Valley Express.

The first phase of the Coast to Valley expansion will take all four existing runs to the Albany Station, seven days a week. While the Coast to Valley service does not have stops at all the locations served by the Corvallis to Amtrak Connector, passengers may request the ability to board or depart buses at those locations. A second phase in 2020 is anticipated to have eight runs traveling between Newport, Corvallis, and Albany.

This expansion is funded through the Oregon Legislature’s 2017 comprehensive transportation bill. Benton County is working with the Oregon Department of Transportation and regional partners on a route design and schedule for a reconfigured Coast to Valley service.
