Entry to Avery Complex temporarily relocated
In fall 2016, the Benton County Board of Commissioners approved a proposal to remodel three county facilities: Public Service Building on 27th Street; Avery Building on Avery Avenue; and, the Sunset Building on Research Way. The Sunset Building renovations were completed in late spring 2017.
The construction includes the addition of approximately 5,000 square feet of space to the County’s Avery Complex. To accommodate the remodel of the existing reception area, the entry and reception area have been temporarily relocated from the north side to the east side of the building where the temporary visitor parking is located. This entry and reception area will be used until April 2, 2018.
Construction of Phase I of the addition to the Avery Complex is anticipated to be completed at the end of March 2018. Upon its completion, Community Development staff will vacate the Sunset Building and return to the Avery Complex. Phase II at Avery includes minor cosmetic work to the original portion of that building that is estimated to be completed by the end of April.
The County solicited request for qualifications for the remodel of the Public Service Building on 27th Street in January 2018. Three contractors were invited to submit proposals with a deadline of late March 7, 2018, to submit their bids.
