The Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds, located in Corvallis, is finalizing an update of the current facilities master plan. The Master Plan Presentation and Community Meeting will be held in the Auditorium building at the Benton County Fairgrounds, 110 SW 53rd Street, Corvallis, Oregon 97333, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. The County welcomes members of the public to attend and learn about the plans for the future of the Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds.

The Benton County Fairgrounds has been an important gathering place and location for public events in the County for more than 100 years. The buildings, utilities and grounds at the fairgrounds have suffered from years of deferred maintenance. The updated master plan will help the County achieve the Fairgrounds' mission to operate a community events center that serves residents and visitors.

The master plan includes a facilities plan that identifies new construction and needed improvements to existing buildings, and a comprehensive business plan that explores management options and provides an operational and maintenance budget, plus potential funding mechanisms.

Markin Consulting led the economic analysis and public engagement portions of the master plan update and will present their findings during the community meeting at the Fairgrounds on March 5th.
