Public invited to meet & greet Benton County Public Works Director finalists

The Benton County Board of Commissioners invites the public to meet the finalists for the Director of Benton County Public Works position at a public reception on April 18, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sunset Building, 4077 SW Research Way, Corvallis, OR 97333.

The Board of Commissioners wants to provide the public and our partners the opportunity to meet each of the finalists, and provide comments to the Board of Commissioners.

Dale Goodman has over 10 years of experience as a Public Works Director in California (2007), Oregon (2008-2011), and Utah (2012-2017). He is a FEMA-certified Emergency Manager and earned a BA in Sociology from the State University of New York at Albany and a MBA from University of Phoenix.

Gary Stockoff is the County Engineer in Washington County, Oregon. He has served in this role since 2008 and previously served as the Deputy Director of Public Works in the City of Turlock, California (1988-1990) and the City of Reno, Nevada (1996-2006). Stockoff earned an AS in Civil Engineering Technology from Umpqua Community College and a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology.

Each candidate will give a brief presentation, followed by an invitation for all staff and community members to speak with the candidates in an informal setting.  A comment card will be provided at the event and then collected and shared with the hiring committee prior to their selection.

Refreshments will be provided. This reception is free and open to the public, no RSVP is necessary.
