Stockhoff selected as the next Benton County Public Works Director

Gary Stockhoff will serve as the next Benton County Public Works Director, beginning on June 4, 2018.
Gary Stockhoff is the County Engineer in Washington County, Oregon. He has served in this role since 2008 and previously served as the Deputy Director of Public Works in the City of Turlock, California (1988-1990) and the City of Reno, Nevada (1996-2006). Stockhoff earned an AS in Civil Engineering Technology from Umpqua Community College and a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
“I am thrilled to have Gary join Benton County government and lead our Public Works department. His experience will greatly benefit our county’s Transportation System Plan and other ongoing and upcoming county initiatives and priorities. I look forward to working with Gary and believe he will serve the residents of Benton County very well,” said Joe Kerby, Benton County Administrator.
Stockhoff was one of two finalists that was invited to Corvallis, Oregon to interview with the Board of Commissioners, county staff and community stakeholders in April 2018. The Public Works Director position has been vacant since December 2017.
