The Benton County-Corvallis Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is focused on gathering, inventorying, and distributing critically needed personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare workers and other essential staff in the area.

To ensure an equitable and transparent process, the EOC has assembled a distribution committee to make collective decisions about how to distribute needed supplies in accordance with Oregon Health Authority (OHA) guidelines.

The committee includes representatives from the Benton County Public Health Department, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Corvallis Fire Department, Benton County EOC, and the Benton County Fire Defense Board. The group meets daily to determine PPE needs in the community. Decisions are carefully weighed alongside the latest predictions from state health officials about future needs for the local hospital system.
