Current Opportunities
The Benton County District Attorney's Office currently has two opportunities for those interested in working with the DA's office. Below the position descriptions, you will find a link to an application form. Fill out the form and send it in if one of these positions is of interest to you.
Volunteer Opportunity
Become a Crime Victim Assistant - The Benton County District Attorney's Victim Assistance Program is seeking volunteers to assist child abuse victims and their families. Applicants will receive training that will prepare them for all areas of advocacy. Interested parties are encouraged to call the Victim Assistance Program at 541-766-6385.
Practicum Opportunity
Benton County Assistance Program – The Benton County Victim Assistance Program is looking for interns who are interested in gaining first hand knowledge about the criminal justice system. The interns work under the assistance of the Victim Assistance Coordinator. You will:
- Experience hands-on introduction to the criminal justice system
- Earn college credits
- Make contacts with professionals
- Receive career training
Responsibilities include:
- Victim notification of rights
- Victim assistance with case status
- Research and investigation
- Determining restitution
