American Rescue Plan Act

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) signed into law on March 11, 2021 is a $1.9 trillion coronavirus rescue package designed to provide $350 billion in emergency funding for State, territorial, local, and Tribal governmental support in responding to the economic and public health impacts of COVID-19 and their efforts to contain impacts on their communities, residents, and businesses.

As the local Public Health Authority, Benton County plays a leading role in the regional COVID-19 response. In addition to the work of coordinating the response, COVID-19 and the associated economic impacts have increased the demand for County safety net services, while also disrupting County operations. ARPA has provided resources necessary to support this work, as well as support those within the community with additional aid programs.
