Citizen Transparency Portal

In May 2018 Benton County launched an online fiscal transparency portal. Through the link below are details of all financial transactions of Benton County, including turnover of taxes collected by the County for schools, cities and other governmental organizations. Data also includes transactions for County Service Districts for which the Board of Commissioners is also the Governing Body.

Benton County adopts a biennial budget. Tiles and graphs on the Transparency portal home page show the status on the full biennial basis. All other pages and analysis present on a twelve-month basis using the budget plan for that fiscal year. This is also true for the Library Services County Service District. All other County Service Districts are annual budgets.

Users should note that historical detail is only available from the time Benton County began the use of the current financial system. Prior to July 1, 2016 (FY 2017) historical revenue or expenditure detail is not available. Payroll detail is from July 1, 2017 (FY 2018). The range of historical detail will expand over time. Transactions are updated weekly and is current as of the date shown on the Home page.

First time users should read the User Guide and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) available from the Transparency portal main menu. This will explain how to search and filter for information and how the information is collected. County Financial Services will promptly respond to inquiries through this e-mail address budget@co.benton.or.us.
