Benton County Health Department seeks community feedback on draft Community Health Assessment

Friday, August 11, 2017

The Benton County Health Department is updating the county’s Community Health Assessment (CHA) and wants to involve the public in this process.

The CHA displays and explains a wide range of information about health indicators and factors that influence health in Benton County. The Health Department updates the CHA every five years in order to identify and share the areas of highest health needs and to provide local and regional partners with current health-related data. The previous Benton County CHA was released in 2012 and can be found on the county website.

A draft of the 2017 Benton County CHA is available on the county website. The project team invites the community to review and provide feedback on the draft and share their health-related stories by emailing by Sept. 29, 2017.

Any feedback and stories sent to the above email address before Sept. 29th, 2017 will be reviewed by the project team prior to completing the CHA in order to make the CHA as useful as possible for the community. A finalized version of the Benton County CHA will be available by early 2018.

Once finalized, the CHA will inform development of an updated Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) that will set priority areas for community health improvement work for Benton County for the next five years. Work on the CHIP will begin in early 2018.
