HOPE Policy Recommendation #12 - Supportive Services
Increase supportive services and stable funding streams to provide services to residents at more affordable housing locations.
Facilitate and coordinate with community partners for increased mental health supports, substance use treatment, and case management services at affordable and supportive housing locations.

Community Progress:
July 2022 - October 2022
- Pathfinder Clubhouse has grown their employment program and added driving skills training to their list of client services.
- Pathfinder Clubhouse surpassed their goal to serve 100 clients by 2022 and have served more than 150 clients as of October, 2022.
- Pathfinder Clubhouse is helping transition people exiting inpatient mental healthcare directly into the Pathfinder program to immediately connect them to resources and supports.
- Unity Shelter received funding from the Oregon Community Foundation and other donors to create a Life Skills and Transitions Coach position to support those moving from shelter or transitional housing into permanent housing.
June 2021 - June 2022
- Benton County Behavioral Health added new programs:
- Children and Family Outpatient Mental Health
- Children’s School-Based Mental Health
- Jail and Forensics Mental Health Team
- Benton County Behavioral Health added staffing:
- Behavioral Health Resource providers in primary care settings
- Adult Outpatient therapist
- Samaritan Homeless Resource Team added staffing:
- 2 Licensed Clinical Social Workers who provide services at various community locations
- Medical Respite Bed Navigator funded by InterCommunity Health Network
- Pathfinder Clubhouse established a community training and support hub for mental health
- C.H.A.N.C.E. Recovery restarted peer support specialist training.
- Jackson Street Youth Services received workforce investment funding from Department of Human Services (DHS) and secured supervision for Mental Health Therapist staff.
- C.H.A.N.C.E. Recovery is providing case management for Linn County inmates and working to include Benton County.
