Irish Bend Park

Park Description

Irish Bend, located in southeast Benton County, 3.2 miles NE of Monroe and 16 miles south of Corvallis on the Willamette River, provides boat launch access to the Willamette River for non-motorized boats. Boat access is hampered by a sand bar. The site is primarily undeveloped with no signage, parking, water or landscaping.

For access to boat launching area and overnight camping area, a key is required. There is a $50 refundable key deposit. Deposit is good for one season and can be renewed each year at no further cost unless key is lost and has to be replaced.

Picnicking and swimming are available. Any overnight use requires a special use permit which can be obtained by calling Benton County Parks Department at 541-766-6871. The cost of the permit is $50 which is good for one weekend, 10 vehicles maximum. In addition, a $5 per camping vehicle per night is charged. A parking permit will be issued for each vehicle listed on permit and must be displayed in front window of vehicle.
