BOGO Vouchers Available for Amtrak Cascades Line

Amtrak Cascades
Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Amtrak Cascades is offering a new two-for-one Companion Fare promotion between now and April 19th, 2018. The promotion is a “buy one, get one” for regular adult fares anywhere on the Amtrak Cascades line between Eugene, Oregon to Vancouver, British Columbia. Tickets must be purchased online; the promotion does not apply to tickets purchased by phone or at Amtrak stations.

Passengers will need a special discount code to order tickets online, and certain Blackout dates apply. The promotion requires advance reservations, and passengers traveling through to Canada must have a U.S. passport. Children 2-12 years old may travel at half the regular adult fare but the “buy one, get one” promotion does not apply.

All required information is available on a voucher through Benton County Rural/Special Transportation. Email or call 541-754-1748 to receive your Amtrak BOGO voucher, as well as an Amtrak Cascades travel planning brochure. If leaving a message or sending an email, we will need your full name and your street mailing address. Vouchers will be sent out same day via postal mail M-F.  Limited quantities are available and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please note that blackout dates for the BOGO voucher do include travel dates around the holidays. Amtrak Cascades train tickets are generally already sold out for Thanksgiving travel, in any event. For best results and less stress, plan your Cascades trip using the BOGO voucher for after the holidays.

When planning your trip from Corvallis to and from the Albany Amtrak Station, be sure to use the new Amtrak Connector bus service, and leave your car behind! There are five round-trips daily to connect all Northbound trains, and some Southbound trains and thruway buses. There are presently four convenient pick-up locations in Corvallis, Oregon, with a fifth location to be added when the new Riverfront Courtyard Marriot Hotel opens in late 2017. The fare is only $5.00 one-way! You can also save money by purchasing 5 tickets for $20.00 or 10 tickets for $30.00.
