Gravel Road Policy

Public Works maintains 180 miles of gravel roads throughout the County, ranging from rural collectors traveled by several hundred vehicles per day to local roads traveled by less than 20 vehicles per day.  Due to the nature of gravel roads, periodic routine maintenance must be performed to maintain a safe travel surface.  Grading, adding rock, and dust control application are performed throughout the year as weather permits, and for maximum benefit.  For a detailed description of the Gravel Road Maintenance and Surfacing Priority Policy, see the attached document, below.
