Alarm Permit

Residential and commercial users of burglary alarm systems in the unincorporated areas of Benton County must obtain an Alarm Permit. There is no charge for the permit. The Alarm Permit provides the Deputy responding to your home or business with information he or she may need to know when on-scene. Permits are available from either your alarm company or from the Benton County Sheriff's Office.

How To Obtain A Permit

To obtain an Alarm Permit from the Benton County Sheriff's Office, please download and completed the Alarm User Permit Form in "Supporting Documents" below. Once completed, mail it to:

Update Your Information

If your contact or other key information changes, please submit a new, updated Alarm User Permit Form (see "Supporting Documents" below). This will ensure that, in an emergency, dispatchers, Deputies, and responsible parties have the most current information about your alarm system.

False Alarm Fee

When a false alarm is activated, it diverts resources from those who really need them. You are allowed two (2) false alarms free of charge, but any false alarms after that are subject to the fee schedule below:
