There will be three more course offerings starting on 4/17, 7/31 & 10/9. 

Sign up for the Winter 2019 Benton County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and learn the skills needed to help your family, neighbors and colleagues during a disaster.

COURSE NO: 19-001

TITLE: CERT Basic Skills Course

DATES/TIMES:  Wednesday:  January 30th, February 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, March 6th, 13th, 20th and April 3rd  from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

UNITS:
Unit 1 - Disaster Preparedness
Unit 2 - Fire Safety and Utility Controls
Unit 3 - Disaster Medical Operations — Part 1
Unit 4 - Disaster Medical Operations — Part 2
Unit 5 - Light Search and Rescue Operations
Unit 6 - CERT Organization 
Unit 7 - Disaster Psychology
Unit 8 - Terrorism and CERT
Unit 9 - Communications
Unit 10 - Course Review, Final Exam, and Disaster Simulation

LOCATION:  Classes will be held at  the Corvallis Fire Training Center, 1275 NE Third St. Once you are registered specific information will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS:  To receive your CERT Basic Certificate you are required to attend all of the training classes. Each CERT training class builds upon the previous session.

COST:  There is no cost to you to attend this program. Course and activity materials will be provided, however, you will be notified if you will need to bring your own binder.
