Sign up for the Spring  2019 Benton County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and learn the skills needed to help your family, neighbors and colleagues during a disaster.

COURSE NO: 19-001

TITLE: CERT Basic Skills Course

DATES/TIMES: 
Four consecutive Saturdays - March 30th,  April 6th, 13th & 20th,  8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

UNITS:
Unit 1 - Disaster Preparedness
Unit 2 - Fire Safety and Utility Controls
Unit 3 - Disaster Medical Operations — Part 1
Unit 4 - Disaster Medical Operations — Part 2
Unit 5 - Light Search and Rescue Operations
Unit 6 - CERT Organization 
Unit 7 - Disaster Psychology
Unit 8 - Terrorism and CERT
Unit 9 - Communications
Unit 10 - Course Review, Final Exam, and Disaster Simulation

LOCATION:  Classes will be held at the Corvallis Fire Center, 1275 NE 3rd St, Corvallis. Once you are registered for the class, you will receive information from the volunteer CERT Program Manager with specific room numbers and directions.

LUNCH: There will be a half hour lunch time (BYO) and breaks morning and afternoon.

REQUIREMENTS:  To receive your CERT Basic Certificate you are required to attend all of the training classes. Each CERT training class builds upon the previous session.

COST:  There is no cost to you to attend this program. Course and activity materials will be provided, however, you will be notified if you will need to bring your own binder.

Complete the Benton County CERT online  "REGISTRATION / WAIVER FORM" by the March 16th, 2019 deadline.  You will receive an email confirmation when you hit submit.   Space is limited so get your registration in early!
