Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allow. Any arrest and complaint information included below is based on the legal conclusion that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

WARRANT ARREST - On November 2, 2022, Allen Lee Nolan, 26, reported in on a an Albany Muni court warrant for contempt of court.
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/02/22 Christensen, Paul, 34, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on Christensen for a FTA DUII warrant out of Benton Co Circuit court and was cited and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 6th, 2022 at around 1:55 am, deputies located James Richard Branam, 44, of Sweet Home, in a parking lot of in North Albany. Branam was trespassed from the property for life in 2020 and was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass in the second degree.
STRANGULATION; ASSAULT 4 - On November 7, 2022 at around 3:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a reported assault. An AIC was physically assaulted by Dakota John Lyon, 25, in the other AIC’s cell. The AIC had physical injuries to his face and mouth. Lyon was cited for Strangulation and Assault IV.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 7, 2022 at about 11:50 PM, deputies observed a lone Ford Escape in the park and ride lot near 660 Hickory St NW in Albany. Deputies subsequently arrested the passenger, Daniel Carrico, 38, for an outstanding warrant.

POSS METH; DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On November 9, 2022, deputies stopped Willard John Madarus for a lighting violation in his blue 1991 Honda Accord at SE 2nd Ave and SE Lyon St. Madarus, 64, had seven confirmed warrants in which he was issued a citation for. Madarus was also arrested, cited and released for new crimes PCS Meth (misd) and DWS Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 9, 2022, Olivas, Nathan, 41, of Lebanon reported to the jail for a warrant. Deputies confirmed the warrant with dispatch and Olivas was cited and released with a new court date.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On November 11th, 2022 at approximately 11:16, deputies initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 99 and Circle Blvd. Deputies stopped a dodge 1994 Dodge Intrepid for impeding traffic. Freddy Azmbrano Rea, 45, was cited for Failure to Carry and Present, Impeding traffic, and no operator`s license.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 11th, 2022 at approximately 2:46 pm, Dustin Brummett, 41, was arrested at Pioneer Park in Corvallis and cited in lieu of custody on a Failure to Appear to Warrant out of Linn County Oregon. Brummett was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 11, 2022, around 3:00 PM, deputies were on foot patrol at Pioneer Park, 1300 Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis. Deputies approached a tent and contacted a male trying to hide under some blankets. The male identified himself as Meritt James Hageman, 26. Hageman had a warrant out of Benton County Circuit for Failing to Appear, and a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Criminal Mischief 2. Deputies issued Hageman a citation for the Benton County Warrant, explained the citation to him, and released him from custody.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On November 11, 2022, deputies located Sarah Davis, 28, near the railroad tracks at Pioneer Park in Corvallis. Davis was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on multiple warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 12, 2022 at around 12:30 am, deputies spoke with Danielle Justine Cook, 30, at the Philomath Liquor store located in the 1800 block of Main Street, Philomath and cited and released her for multiple warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 12, 2022 at around 12:50 am, deputies spoke with Dusty Lee Risland, 34, in the 1700 block of Main Street, Philomath and issued him criminal citations for warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 12, 2022, around 1:45 PM, deputies were on foot patrol in the area Pioneer Park, at 1300 Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis. Deputies observed a female walking near the train tracks who identified herself as Justice Breanne Ortiz, 26. Ortiz had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Philomath Municipal Court for Theft 3. After giving Ortiz the citation she was released from custody.
DWS FEL - On 11/12/2022 at approximately 10:15 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at Highway 20 and Shrike Way. The driver, Matthew Weaver, 50, of Newport, was given a citation in lieu of custody for Felony Driving While Suspended and was released from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, November 14, 2022, at about 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Parole and Probation office at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office to serve a warrant on Javier Nickolas Corona, 28. Corona was taken into custody on a state-wide felony parole board warrant and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
HARASSMENT - On November 15, 2022, at around 5:38 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a report of Aggravated Harassment. Inmate Samuel Hendrick, 36, reportedly spit on a Jail Deputy from within his cell. Deputies later issued Hendrick a criminal citation for Aggravated Harassment.
UUV - On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at approximately 5:18 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a male regarding the theft of his vehicle. The male left his vehicle somewhere just west of Alsea Falls off South Fork Road while looking for mushrooms with his significant other at approximately 9:30 AM. When they returned to where the vehicle had been left approximately two hours later the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was left unlocked and the keys were in the center console area. There are no leads or suspects.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 15, 2022 at approximately 8:15 PM, deputies stopped Lorelle SHERMAN, 33, for Improperly Executed Left Turn and suspicion of DUII and was subsequently arrested for DUII.  SHERMAN was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody and later released.
WARRANT ARREST; PAROLE VIOLATION - On November 18th, 2022 at approximately 1:35 pm, deputies responded to the 35100 block of Kings Valley Highway in Philomath for a warrant service. Deputies arrested Rodney Savage, 51, for Benton County Parole violation warrant and Marcy Savage for Albany and Philomath Municipal court warrants. They were cited in lieu of custody.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On November 17th, 2022, deputies located a suspect vehicle involved in a robbery that had just occurred at the Fred Meyers in Corvallis. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle at HWY 34 and Riverside Drive but the vehicle attempted to elude. The vehicle crashed at Riverside Drive and Meadows Rd where deputies apprehended the driver, Alexandra Tevogt, 33, of Sweet Home. Tevogt was transproted to Linn County Jail where she was booked for the following: ORS.811.540 – Elude ORS.811.140 - Reckless Driving ORS.163.195 - Reckless Endangering ORS.164.365 -Criminal Mischief In the first degree ORS.813.010 - DUII (Drugs). She was additionally booked on a Linn County warrant for Computer Crimes and cited by Corvallis Police for numerous other crimes related to the robbery event.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 18th, 2022 at approximately 10:39 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of North 9th Street in Philomath for an active trespass. Gordon Gefroh, 63, was arrested for Trespass in the second degree and cited and released from the Benton County Jail.
POSS METH (LESS THAN 2 GRAMS); WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November 18, 2022, at about 12:00 pm, deputies arrested Adam Dean Carrier, 48, in the 800 block of Heritage Hills Drive on a misdemeanor Albany Municipal Court warrant. Carrier had a violation amount of methamphetamine on his person at the time of his arrest. Carrier was cited for drug possession and issued a citation with a court date for his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 18, 2022, around 2:15 PM, deputies were on foot patrol near 1780 Four Acre Place Corvallis. Deputies observed a male picking up garbage near a campsite, near the railroad tracks. Deputies briefly talked to the male before asking him what his name was. The male identified himself as Joseph Ray Pontarolo, 36, and told them he likely had a warrant. Dispatch informed confirmed that Pontarolo had two cite and release warrant out of Corvallis Municipal Court for a Public Order Crime and Open Container. After issuing him a citation, deputies released Pontarolo from custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November 18, 2022, at about 4:00 pm, deputies arrested Joshua Paul Scott, 40, in a camp in the 1700 block of NE Four Acre PL on a felony warrant issued by the Santiam Correctional Institution. Scott was lodged at the Benton County Jail on his warrant and on a charge of resisting arrest.
WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; RESISTING ARREST - On November 18, 2022, at around 5:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area near Highway 99W MP 102 for a report of a man walking in the middle of the roadway. Deputies later arrested Robert Dorsey, 61, for Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, Providing False Information to a Police Officer, and a Washington County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear – Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
DUII - On November 18, 2022, at 11:56 PM, deputies responded to the 5900 block of SW Plymouth Drive in Corvallis for a traffic crash. They arrested Sydney Marie Lacroix, 22, for DUII after determining she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, November 20, 2022, at about 9:00 am, deputies arrested Jared Lee Crawford, 29, on 9th Street near Walnut Boulevard in Corvallis on a felony Benton County Circuit Court warrant. Crawford was lodged at the Benton County Jail
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Sunday, November 20, 2022, at about 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a theft in the 900 block of NW Camellia Drive, Corvallis. The resident reported an unknown suspect entered two vehicles parked in his driveway at about 3:40am. The suspect took personal documents and a key fob from one of the vehicles.
RESISTING ARREST; RUNAWAY JUVENILE - On Sunday, November 20th, 2022, at 10:52 p.m., deputies responded to the 1100 block of N 9th St, Philomath, for a runaway complaint. A 17 year old juvenile ran away from home. Prior to arriving, Philomath Police Department located the juvenile who attempted to elude the officer, and resisted arrest. Deputies transported the juvenile to Oak Creek Detention Center
DWS MIS - On Monday, November 21, 2022, at about 11:10 am, deputies arrested Devon-Eric Arthur Lee, 38, in the 900 block of SE Centerpointe Drive, Corvallis, for misdemeanor driving while suspended. Lee was issued a citation a released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, November 21, 2022, at about 1:00 pm, deputies arrested Michael Alvarado, 31, at 180 NW 5th Street, Corvallis, on multiple warrants. At the request of the warrant-issuing courts, Alvarado was issued citations in lieu of custody and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, November 21, 2022, at about 4:00 pm, deputies arrested Krystle Irene Morgester, 37, in the 2700 block of SW Pickford Street, Corvallis, on a Clackamas County Circuit Court warrant. Morgester was cited in lieu of custody and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 24, 2022 at about 1250 pm, deputies stopped Christopher Lee Fain, 29, for expired tags in Corvallis. Dispatch advised that Fain had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Corvallis Muni Court for FTA-Criminal Assault. Fain was cited and released on the warrant and cited for No ODL and Driving Uninsured.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 11/06/2022 at approximately 12:15 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 and Riverside Drive to assist Oregon State Police with a two-vehicle crash. There were no injuries and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 5th, 2022 at around 12:55 pm, deputies made a traffic stop on a white Chevy Silverado at HWY 34 and Ireland Ln after the pickup intentionally ran the red traffic light at HWY 34 and the HWY 34 Bypass. The driver, Jesse Fenton, 24, of Lebanon, was subsequently arrested for DUII. He was issued a criminal citation for DUII and for Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 11/04/2022 at approximately 11:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle rash in the 31800 block of Fern Road in Philomath. A pickup truck had left the roadway and struck a tree. The two juvenile occupants were not wearing their seatbelts and both juveniles were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, November 4, 2022, at about 1:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99W near Payne Road. Driver 1, in a black Honda Fit, crashed into the rear of a white Toyota Avalon after failing to see that Driver 2 had slowed for traffic. Both drivers declined medical care and neither showed signs of impairment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, November 4, 2022, at about 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of trespass in the 200 block of NW 53rd Street. Arianna Elise Alpaugh, 41, had returned to the property after having been given a trespass warning by the property manager. Alpaugh was cited for trespassing and escorted off the property.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at about 1:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Blodgett Elementary School for a lockdown alarm. A school staff member stated an unknown person was on the roof of the school and they put the school in lockdown. Deputies arrived and located a male doing maintenance on the roof of the school. No crimes had been committed.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 1, 2022 at around 9:30 pm, deputies arrived in the 4900 block of NW Highway 99W for a reported trespass. A male had parked his fifth-wheel camper on the property and started living there. The male did not have permission to live on the property and was advised he needed to leave, which he agreed to.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 1, 2022, at around 7:24 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hoskins Rd MP 4 for a reported motor vehicle crash. Deputies later learned that a male had driven a timber company truck off the roadway. Per his nephew, the driver allegedly got a ride somewhere and was okay. The vehicle was allegedly drive-able and would be removed by the male.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at approximately 6:48 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Independence Highway near Highway 20 for report of an injury crash. Unit 1 was driving north on Independence Highway and in the process of turning around in the middle of the roadway when he was hit by unit 2, who was driving south on Independence Highway. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the passenger in unit 1 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with unknown injuries.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 1, 2022 at around 10:23 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and Smith Loop for a reported single-vehicle crash. The driver fell asleep while traveling south and went off the west side of the road. After hitting a pine tree, the driver swerved back onto the road and came to a stop on the northbound shoulder. The driver had no complaints of pain and the vehicle was towed.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 3, 2022, at around 1:09 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2013 Infinity G37 near NW 9th St and NW Circle Blvd. Deputies later arrested Olatunbosun Fakiye, 24, of Vancouver, WA, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 11/01/2022 at approximately 2:24 pm, deputies observed a crash at the intersection of NW Harrison Blvd and NW Oak Creek Dr. A Dodge caliber crashed head-on into a Toyota Prius. The female occupant of the Prius was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with suspected minor injuries. Deputies conducted a crash investigation and both vehicles were towed due to damage.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On November 1, 2022 at about 9:35 am, deputies spoke with a male by phone who reported an unknown subject had been fraudulently using his credit card numbers since around October 25. Several charges were in Clackamas, OR where a possible suspect was identified.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 31st, 2022 at around 12:02 AM, deputies contacted David HASSENGER, 52, walking in the 100 block of South 9th Street. HASSENGER had an active warrant for Contempt of court out of Philomath Municipal Court. HASSENGER was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
DUII - On October 30, 2022, at 5:53 AM, deputies stopped Cory McDuffie, 26, on 4th Street near Monroe Avenue in Corvallis for Failure to Drive within Lane and Improper Right Turn. They later arrested McDuffie for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
BURGLARY 1 - On 10/29/2022 at approximately 10:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to report of a burglary in progress in the 24700 block of Evergreen Road in Philomath. Deputies contacted a resident who had seen a flashlight inside a building that she knew no one should be in. Multiple deputies searched the building, including K-9 Deputy Brutus. No one was located inside of the building.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On October 28th, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a theft from a vehicle report. The theft occurred at the parking area at the Alsea Falls. The reporter said that at about 11:30 am she went for a hike and left her purse in her vehicle. When she returned at about 2:00 pm, she noticed someone had broken the driver`s side rear window and that suspect took her purse. There were two other vehicles broken into about that same time that same day.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 24, 2022 at about 9:30 PM, deputies responded to the 1300 block of NW 9th Street to serve a civil process on Matthew ONSTOTT EPPINGER, 33. During the course of the service deputies learned he had a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and he was issued a citation lieu of custody with a new court date. The warrant information is as follows: Albany Municipal court- Criminal mischief II, no bail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, October 24, 2022, at about 7:23 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash on Highway 20 near Circle Boulevard. Driver 1 was stopped at a traffic light in her Kia Sorento when she was struck from behind by driver 2 in a Toyota Prius. Neither driver required medical attention and neither appeared impaired. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, October 22, 2022, at about 8:10 pm, deputies stopped a silver Lexus sedan on Van Buren Avenue near 2nd Street for failing to drive in its lane and making an improper left turn. They later arrested the driver, Connor Max Moragne, 21, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Moragne was cited and given a courtesy ride to his home.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On October 21st, 2022 at about 9:49 am, deputies contacted a reporting party by phone who told deputies an unknown person(s) broke out the rear window of her vehicle on the driver`s side and took a backpack containing a jacket and an orange vest. The caller said she has a deductible of $100.00 and the window will cost $500.00 to $1000.00 to replace. The caller also said she left her car at about 9:00 am for a 45-minute walk and when she returned, the window was broken.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On October 31, 2022 at about 10:45 pm, a janitor with Crescent Valley High School reported someone had spray painted graffiti on multiple buildings. Deputies met with the principal, who watched surveillance video and observed 6 subjects in halloween costumes, graffiti several buildings between 9:35 pm and 9:40 pm. The suspects have not been identified.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On October 31, 2022 at about 3:38 pm, deputies spoke with a caller by phone who reported sometime between 7:30 am and 11:45 am, an unknown subject cut off and stole the catalytic convertor on his Chevy pickup. The pickup was parked in a gravel lot on the south side of Camp Adair Rd, just east of the trap range. The caller did not have any suspect info but stated there were 4 other vehicles in the parking lot that morning.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On October 31, 2022, deputies spoke with a caller regarding an incident in the 700 block of NE Granger Ave, Corvallis. The incident regarding yelling by another party over a parking space in the business complex. The caller spoke with the other party’s supervisor about the incident.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; WARRANT ARREST - On October 28, 2022, at around 1:22 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a gray 1997 Isuzu Rodeo near NE Granger Ave and NE Hyslop Rd. They arrested the driver, Jenna Smith, 38, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving. Smith was also issued criminal citations in lieu of custody for two Benton County Circuit Court warrants for Failure to Appear – Resisting Arrest and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 24, 2022, deputies spoke with a male regarding an incident from October 21, 2022, at the Coffin Butte Landfill. The male was backed up to the unloading area when he believed his vehicle was hit by a U Haul trailer towed by another driver. The other driver was unaware of the incident.
MENACING - On October 23, 2022, deputies responded to a reported menacing at Highway 99 and Starr Road. A male reported an unknown male pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at him in a road rage incident. The reporter was unable to provide an accurate license plate and the suspect is unknown at this time.
LITTERING - On October 19, 2022 at about 10:45 a.m., deputies received a call from neighboring residences in the area of Highway 20 and Norton Creek Road regarding a suspicious convertible van and a fifth wheel. Deputies went to the location they knew Edward Prechel, 61, to reside and located the fifth wheel seeping sewage and fluids into the parking lot leading to the creek. The parking lot around the trailer is now gathering garbage to include food and living debris. Deputies later arrested Edward Prechel for Placing Offensive Substances in Waters, on Highways and Other Property (ORS 164.785), Offensive Littering (ORS 164.805) and Depositing Trash Within 100 Yards of Waters or in Waters (ORS 164.775).
DUII - On Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at approximately 9:10 P.M., deputies stopped Rachel Marie Pelote, 23, for driving the wrong way on a one-way street, on Jackson Avenue, near 5th Street. Deputies later arrested Pelote for DUII and transported her to the Law Enforcement Center where she gave a breath sample following a search warrant. Deputies cited Pelote for DUII and Driving the Wrong way on a One Way.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 27, 2022, at around 12:54 am, deputies contacted a group of individuals near the West Hills Safe Camp, located in the 4500 block of SW West Hills Rd. They later arrested Jayson Lakin, 36, for two Linn County Circuit Court warrants for Menacing and Attempted UUV, a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear - Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and a Corvallis Municipal Court warrant for Failure to Appear - Criminal Trespassing 2nd degree. None of these warrants rose to the level of custody and Lakin was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On 10/27/2022 at around 2:15 PM, deputies spoke with a male about someone breaking the side windows of his vehicle and taking items from his car at the BLM Fall Creek trailhead near Alsea. Someone stole a duffle bag with "RAT" on the outside with misc. clothes inside and a black backpack with an older Dell tablet and an external hard drive with family photos on it. The caller estimated the theft at around $500.00. Both driver`s side, and side windows were broken out on his 2014 Nissan Frontier. There is no suspect information at this time. There was another vehicle broken into at the same location.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On 10/27/2022 at around 2:30 PM, deputies spoke with a male about someone breaking a side window of his vehicle and taking an item from his car at the BLM Fall Creek trailhead near Alsea. Someone stole a multi-colored/striped lunchbox from the seat of his vehicle. The caller estimated the theft at around $10.00. The passenger side small wing window was broken out on his 2012 Honda CRV. There is no suspect information at this time. There was another vehicle broken into at the same location.
THEFT 2 - On October 28th, 2022 at about 9:00 am, deputies were dispatched to a caller that had parked his small 5 x 8 black utility trailer in the Lewisburg store parking lot, and the trailer was stolen. The trailer did have a flat tire and that was the reason the caller left it there. The trailer was parked there on October 22nd, 2022.
DWS MIS - On October 29th, 2022 at about 11:00 am, deputies saw Alfredo Garcia Rodriguez, 28, of Junction City, drive by they were parked at 5th Street and Main Street, Monroe. This portion of the roadway is located in Benton County Oregon and open to the public. Deputies knew Mr. Garcia to be suspended through Oregon DMV. They stopped Mr. Garcia on Orchard Street near 6th Street. Mr. Garcia was alone in the vehicle. Dispatch confirmed Mr. Garcia is in fact, DWS-Misdemeanor through Oregon.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, October 29th, 2022, at 9:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the old Bellfountain Store located on the southwest corner of Bellfountain Rd and Dawson Rd, Benton County, Oregon for a trespass complaint. Kyle Giron was arrested for Criminal Trespass II.
DUII - On October 28, 2022, at 9:15 PM, deputies stopped Nathaniel Klinkner, 34, on Country Club Drive near Philomath Boulevard for Failure to Drive within Lane. They later arrested Klinkner for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 10/22/2022 at around 1:10 PM, deputies arrived at an injury traffic crash on Highway 20 near milepost 5. Vehicle #1 was turning left out of the driveway of Garlands Nursery towards Albany. Vehicle #2 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 approaching Garland Nursery. Vehicle #1 pulled out of the driveway without making sure there were no vehicles traveling westbound and was hit on the driver`s side door. One driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by Corvallis Fire to be evaluated due to leg and head pain. Both vehicles were towed due to the damage from the crash.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On 10/22/2022, deputies spoke with a male about his vehicle getting a flat tire from a homemade spike on the BLM 10 Road near the 13-7-5.6 Road (Mary`s Peak area). This is the 3rd vehicle that has been reported getting tires damaged from the spikes. This corresponds to the Deer Hunting Season in the area. The BLM Ranger has been notified of the issue with the spikes. We have no investigation leads at this time on who may have placed the spikes.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On October 21, 2022, at about 4:30 PM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 4100 block of NE Fair Acres Drive Corvallis, Oregon. She wanted her ex-boyfriend warned for telephonic harassment.
ASSAULT 3; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; HARASSMENT PHYSICAL – On Friday, October 21, 2022, at about 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School, 4444 NW Highland Drive, to investigate a report of an assault. A juvenile victim was leaving class when another juvenile threw a cupcake in her face and started hitting her, causing injury to her face. A second juvenile later threw the victim to the ground and struck her, causing injury to her head. Both involved juveniles were cited into the Benton County Juvenile Department for Assault 3 and other crimes.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; DUII - On 10/29/2022 at approximately 2:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a vehicle that was parked partially in the roadway near SW 53rd Street and SW Reservoir Avenue. Deputies found the vehicle in the Benton County Fair Grounds parking lot. The driver, Dillon Greene, 19, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree.
CONTEMPT OF COURT; FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 25, 2022 at about 8:45 am, deputies stopped a white Jeep Liberty involved in a suspected theft call for Corvallis PD. Deputies contacted the driver, William Henry Steen. Steen had three confirmed warrants for his arrest. Two Benton County Circuit Court warrants for FTA Brug I, Theft I, and FTA Theft II. Steen also had an Albany Muni Court warrant for Contempt of Court. Deputies transported Steen to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on the Circuit Court Warrants and issued Steen a court date for the Albany warrant.
BURGLARY 2 - On October 25, 2022 at about 9 am, deputies spoke with a female that reported sometime in the last few days an unknown subject attempted to pry open the east door of the Greenberry Grange located in the 27500 block of Greenberry Rd. There was no damage done to the temporary plywood door and the suspect did not gain entry to the building. The female wanted us aware of the incident and asked for extra patrol when in the area.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 20, 2022, deputies responded to Highway 34 near MP 42 for an injury motor vehicle crash. A driver was traveling east in her 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled and came to rest near a residence. The driver stated a vehicle traveling westbound was in her lane and she swerved to avoid a collision. A tow company removed the vehicle and the driver was transported to GSH ER via Corvallis ambulance.
IDENTITY THEFT - On October 24, 2022, deputies spoke with a male regarding an attempted identity theft. The man was notified by Bank of America that someone attempted to open an account in his name for a "Free Spirit World Elite MasterCard".
MAINTAINING A VICIOUS DOG – On October 24, 2022, deputies impounded a dog at the Heartland Humane Society to serve its 10 day bite quarantine time. The bite took place in the 4000 block of NE fair Acres Drive in Corvallis. The owner received a citation.
POSS COCAINE; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 26, 2022 at around 12:52 am, deputies stopped a silver 2011 Mercedes C350 at NW Harrison Blvd and NW 15th St for traveling the wrong way on a one way street. They later arrested, cited, and released Devin Alexander SWYGERT, 29, of Eugene, for DUII, Reckless Driving, Possession of Cocaine-Violation. SWYGERT refused to provide a breath sample and a search warrant was granted to obtain his blood.
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/24/22 Wamsley, Katie, 26, turned herself in at the jail on a Benton Co warrant for FTA theft III and an Albany Municipal Court for contempt. Wamsley was cited and released with a new court date.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 23, 2022, at 1:54 AM, deputies observed a suspicious blue 2003 Ford Focus parked in the parking lot in the 27600 block of Highway 99W. As deputies turned around to make contact with the vehicle, the driver sped off westbound on Bruce Road without headlights. Deputies located the Ford in the next driveway with an open door but were unable to locate the driver. There was an open alcoholic beverages inside the Ford. Brody Burright, 20, of Sweet Home, located and cited for MIP Alcohol.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On October 21, 2022 at about 4:30 PM, deputies responded to the 25700 block of Cherry Creek Rd for a suspicious vehicle. A neighbor to that address reported what he thought was a possible burglary involving a truck he didn`t recognize. The truck, described as a full sized, newer, red, pickup that was lifted was subsequently located at the Long Branch Tavern in Monroe. The driver stated that he was the new owner of the property, having just recently taken possession.
POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); POSS BURGLARS TOOLS; WARRANT ARREST - On October 10th, 2022 at around 1:06 AM, deputies located Perry Bradford, 40, at a gas station in North Albany and took him into custody. Bradford had four Benton County Circuit court warrants and one Linn County Circuit Court warrant. Most warrants contained numerous felony charges. Deputies searched Bradford and located a set of bump keys, shaved keys, broken pieces to a spark plug, a full spark plug, a methamphetamine pipe, and 3.85 grams of meth. Bradford was booked at the Benton County Jail for his warrants and also charged with Possession of Burglary Tools and Unlawful Possession of meth (More than 2 grams).
THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING - On 10/18/2022 at approximately 12:15 pm, a resident called to report the theft of a chainsaw sometime between February 2022 and October 2022. The resident said it was a Stihl brand chainsaw with a 14" bar. He has no further details of the saw.
WARRANT ARREST - At approximately 2:44 pm, CONNELLY, CRAIG ALDEN, 61, reported to the Benton County Jail, located at 190 NW 4th St Corvallis on a warrant for failure to report as a sex offender. Due to overcrowding at the jail, deputies released Connelly from our custody with a new court date.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 11, 2022, at about 1:04 p.m., deputies responded to an injury crash on Bellfountain Road at Airport Road in Corvallis. Driver 1 did a U-turn in her 2017, Honda Accord in front of driver 2 was driving southbound in a semi, a 2005 Freightliner. The driver of vehicle 1 was transported by Corvallis EMT`s. Both vehicles were towed.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 13, 2022, at around 6:06 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Alsea-Deadwood Highway and Fudge Rd for a report of a suspected intoxicated driver. Deputies later located Kevin Weist, 61, at his residence and arrested him for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving.
PROPERTY RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On October 14, 2022, around 10:00 AM, deputies were in the 700 block of 3rd Street, Corvallis, performing a move-out order. As deputies cleared the residence they saw an almost brand new-looking bike in the corner of the residence. Deputies ran the mountain bike through dispatch to see if it was stolen. Dispatch advised the bike was reported stolen by OSU Police. Deputies returned the bike to its owner.
MENACING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; LITTERING - On Sunday, October 16, 2022, at about 9:50 am, deputies were dispatched to the Cascade Apartments at 525 NW Monroe Avenue to investigate a report of trespassing and disorderly conduct. Deputies later arrested Katherine Maurine Corder, 59, for Menacing, Disorderly Conduct 2, Criminal Mischief 3, and Offensive Littering. Corder was transported to the Benton County Jail and subsequently released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, October 16, 2022, at approximately 8:59 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Hubbard Road for report of a vehicle crash. Upon arrival they found that a female had been driving her 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara east on Dawson when she failed to stop at the Highway 99W intersection and drove off a partially completed bridge into a waterway. The driver’s vehicle was removed the following day and towed from the scene. Deputies gave the driver a courtesy transport to Corvallis at her request.
THEFT 2; WARRANT ARREST - On October 22, 2022, at 3:40 AM, deputies stopped James Rosenberry, 27, on Twin Oakes Circle near 3rd Street in Corvallis for Improper Use of Lanes. Rosenberry was riding a confirmed stolen bicycle. Rosenberry had 4 confirmed warrants for his arrest. The Benton County Jail was closed. Rosenberry was cited on the Benton County warrants and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant. Rosenberry was lodged at the Linn County Jail for a Linn County warrant.
ELUDE VEHICLE; PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS - On October 22, 2022, at 1:08 AM, deputies attempted to stop Edwin Cadena, 32, of Salem, on Highway 99W near Adair Frontage Road in Adair Village for reasonable suspicion of DUII and multiple traffic violations. Cadena continued driving for 10 miles, where two of his tires were deflated by Polk County Deputies. Cadena was taken into custody without incident after his vehicle became disabled. The Benton County Jail was closed. Cadena was transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was lodged on a Probation Violation Warrant for Elude by Vehicle. Cadena was cited into Benton County Circuit Court for Attempted Elude by Vehicle, Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 21, 2022 at around 6:57 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle at NW Highland Drive and NW Davis Meadows Pl. The driver, Samuel David Roman Martinez, 23, had a Corvallis Municipal warrant for Unlawful Amplified Sounds. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
THEFT 3 LOST/MISLAID PROP – On 10/21/2022 at about 10:00 am, deputies called the a reporting party regarding a possible missing or stolen Oregon Dealer license plate. RP does not know if the plate was actually stolen, but it`s missing. He needed a case number to turn it into DMV. Value, $50.00.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/20/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:22 PM, COLBERT, DARRELL DEAN, 57, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET ON A WARRANT FOR FTA UUW, BAIL $10K. THE WARRANT WAS CONFIRMED WITH DISPATCH AND COLBERT WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/20/2022 TOM, CALEB LESTER, 38, TURNED HIMSELF IN ON A WARRANT FOR FTA-FAIL TO REG. SEX OFFENDER. TOM WAS RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On October 20, 2022 at about 6:55 a.m., deputies responded to the 23400 block of Harris Road for a report of an occupied vehicle parked on the property. Deputies contacted a male who thought he was camping on public land. He was moved along.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - NICOLE ELLEN COTTO, 48, OF EUGENE, TURNED HERSELF IN AT BCJ ON A WARRANT FOR FTA-PCS METH OUT OF BENTON COUNTY. BECAUSE OF SENATE BILL 48, THERE WAS NO BAIL APPLIED AND SHE WAS HELD UNTIL ARRAIGNMENT.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Monday, October 17th, 2022, Jacob Ashley Carley, 45, of Eugene, turned himself in on a warrant to the Benton County Jail for an Attempt to Commit a Class B Felony and Commercial Sexual Solicitation. Carley was issued a new court date and was released from the jail.
SEARCH AND RESCUE - On October 20, 2022 at approximately 8:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 near milepost 42 for a report of someone attempting to flag down passing motorists. When deputies arrived, they spoke to a male who said his hunting partner had not returned to their vehicle at dark as planned. He explained where he and his missing friend had been hunting on the Starker Forest`s Upper Marys Tree Farm. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate him. Deputies with drones responded but were unable to locate him. Deputies then contacted Search and Rescue, who responded but were unable to locate him either. Deputies were later told by our Search and Rescue Coordinator that the missing man had walked out just after daylight and had been picked up by his wife.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 14, 2022, Zachary Luke Tyler, 43, turned himself in at BCJ on a warrant for FTA PCS METH (Fel), FTA Assault 4, FTA DWS, and FTA DWS out of Benton County. Warrants were confirmed and cleared by dispatch and Tyler was released force released due to jail closure.
LITTERING - On 10/12/2022 at around 6:30 PM, deputies spoke with a resident about someone dumping dirt/bricks/wood on one of his grass seed farm fields near NW 25th in Albany. He had a plate number of the pickup and trailer description from Albany Rental. Deputies then received a call the next day from him stating the driver came to their farm and asked for permission to dump loads of dirt on their property from a farm hand and was given permission to dump off of Ryals. Deputies spoke with the driver who was dumping a load off of Ryals about the day before. The driver was an employee and deputies went to NW Laurel Dr. in North Albany and spoke with the employer and registered owner of the vehicle. Deputies were told by the caller that if the man removes the dirt from the field near 25th, he can continue to dump off of Ryals. The man agreed and went and removed the dirt out of the grass seed field.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/12/22 White, Robert, 71, was being released from Benton Co Jail when deputies learned he had a Jackson Co Circuit warrant for FTA –Trespass. Deputies served the warrant on I confirmed this warrant through records and served the warrant on White.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/11/22 around 1:00 pm, deputies were getting ready to release ECK, Christina, 49, of Veneta, from the Benton County Jail when they discovered she had a warrant out of Junction City Municipal Court. Junction City sent a new court date and time and she was released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/6/2022 PARKER, TIMOTHY L, 55, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE JAIL ON CIRCUIT WARRANT FTA PCS METH. PARKER WAS RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
DUII - On October 2nd, 2022, deputies stopped Isaac Fish, 20, of Washington, near Philomath Blvd and Brooklane Dr after he was called in as a reckless driver. He was subsequently arrested for DUII and Reckless driving.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Sept. 29, 2022 at approximately 7:30 am, it was brought to a deputy’s attention by jail staff that there was an outstanding warrant for an adult in custody, Copple, Michael Allen, 45. The Warrant was issued by Lincoln County Circuit Court for FTA – Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon and FTA II x 2. A hold was placed for Lincoln County Jail. Copple will be transported to Lincoln County Jail after his local matters are resolved for Benton County.

FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 09/23/22, CEASAR DANIEL CABALLERO, 29, had served his time for local matters in Benton County Oregon when deputies learned he had warrants out of Albany and Clackamas County. Deputies issued CABALLERO the citation for the warrants and he was released from custody.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 09/21/22 Colbert, Darrell, 57, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co Circuit warrant for FTA Unlawful use of a weapon. Colbert was issued a new court date and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - At approximately 9:39 am on 9/19/22, MATHEW JARETH JASON MCGOWAN, 27, reported to the Benton County Jail on warrants out of Benton County Circuit, Albany Municipal, Dallas Municipal, and Corvallis Municipal Courts. MCGOWAN was given citations for all the warrants and released from the jail`s custody at approximately 11:19 am.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 09/13/22, Fonger, Kyler, 27, turned himself in at the Benton Co jail on a Benton Co warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Fonger also had a Lincoln Co warrant for FTA Poss Heroin. Fonger was cited and released with a new court date.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 11, 2022, Driver 1 said he was eastbound on Coon Road and went off the south side of the roadway to avoid a westbound vehicle that he said was in his lane.  That vehicle left the scene and driver 1 did not see what type of vehicle it was.  Driver 1’s car, a dark green Toyota Camry with no license plates, wound up on its passenger side, off of the roadway, facing west, with substantial damage to the roof and windshield area.  The driver was uninjured.  His 5-month-old black Labrador named Olive was in the car with him at the time of the crash and she was not located at that time.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 16th, 2022 at around 11:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5th Street side of the jail after Corrections Deputies at the Benton County Jail reported seeing someone climb over a fence and was climbing on top of a generator. Deputies contacted Anna House, 38, who was subsequently arrested for Criminal Trespass II and booked at the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 10, 2022, deputies responded with other deputies to a reported trespass in progress in the 5100 block of Highway 99W, Corvallis. Deputies later spoke with the on-site manager who said a vehicle had been parked down the street. There was no indication the driver entered the trailer park. Her vehicle was also gone when deputies arrived.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On October 10, 2022, a red, Stinger 12 children`s bicycle, was found at the Benton County Courthouse and placed in evidence as found property.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 15, 2022, around 12:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 20 near milepost 8. Dispatch advised the crash involved two vehicles, one of them being a United States Postal Service vehicle. The driver of a Volkswagen was cited for using her cell phone while driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 12, 2022, at about 1:09 p.m., deputies were dispatched to NW Crescent Valley Dr just north of NW Jackson Creek Dr in Corvallis for a single-vehicle traffic crash involving a silver 2001 Honda Accord. Two juvenile males were the occupants of the vehicle. Neither occupant was injured and the vehicle was towed due to damage.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII - On September 16, 2022 at about 7:03 a.m., deputies responded to a crash at Highway 99W near Thousand Oaks Drive. The driver, Grace Watkins, 29, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Endangering (x2). She was issued a citation and released to her family.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On Sunday, October 16, 2022, at about 12:23 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of trespassing in the 500 block of NW Monroe Avenue, Corvallis. Katherine Maurine Corder, 59, had entered the building in violation of a trespass warning and jail release agreement. Corder was arrested for Criminal Trespass I and Violation of a Release agreement. Corder was lodged at the Benton County Jail to await arraignment.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 16, 2022 at approximately 12:30 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near Milepost 80. While the vehicle was still in motion, the driver, a juvenile, switched places with a passenger, another juvenile. Both juveniles were cited in lieu of custody for reckless driving. Both juveniles were also given citations for failure to properly use safety belts and operating a vehicle without required lighting.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On October 15, 2022, at 8:53 PM, deputies were dispatched to the gravel parking area at the intersection of Highway 20/ Kings Valley Highway in Philomath for a Theft and Criminal Mischief. A driver parked her pickup there and went out to dinner and a movie. When she returned, an unknown suspect had punched a hole in her gas tank and stole her gas. She had a total of 16 gallons in her tank, valued at $90.00. Her pickup was towed to Corvallis.
DWS MIS - On October 15, 2022, at 1:47 AM, deputies stopped Joseph Sizemore, 33, on NW 9th Street near NW Walnut Boulevard in Corvallis for no license plate light. Sizemore was arrested for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 15, 2022 at approximately 12:05 A.M., deputies stopped a yellow Chevy sedan at Highway 20 near Independence Highway. The driver, Ashley Bowers, 25, had a warrant for Failure to Appear. Bowers was cited in lieu of custody and released from the scene.
BURGLARY 1; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On October 14, 2022, at around 3:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of NE Circle Blvd for a burglary. The residents reported returning home from work and finding their house was burglarized of specific items, including a DVR hard drive connected to the residence`s security cameras.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (VIOLATION); WARRANT ARREST; POSS HEROIN (VIOLATION) - On Friday, October 14, 2022, at about 3:20 pm, deputies arrested Ryan James Bourgond at Pioneer Park, Corvallis, on multiple Benton County Circuit Court felony warrants. Bourgond was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 14, 2022 at about 3:00 p.m., deputies were on foot patrol in Pioneer Park when they stopped Ryan Andrew Seib, 26, of Keizer, who was trespassing on the railroad tracks. Seib had three cite and release warrants (Benton County for FTA Elude, Albany for Theft III and Marion County for FTA Possession of a Burg Tool). He was cited and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On 10/9/2022, A resident called the Sheriff`s Office to report someone had cut down 3 of his redwood trees on Bratten Hill Road in Alsea. The resident did not know who might have cut the trees, but wanted deputies to be aware of it and keep an ear out for anyone damaging his other trees.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On October 13, 2022 at about 4:00 p.m., Benton County Public Works road crew dropped off a cash box containing $978.50 in cash that they had found on the side of the road at Alpine Road and Foster Road. It was later returned to its owners by deputies.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On October 13, 2022 at about 1:57 p.m., deputies arrested Samuel Joseph Pecorilla, 38, from Parole and Probation (180 NW 5th St) for a Probation Violation Warrant out of Lane County. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at approximately 9:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of NW Eagle View Drive, Albany for a report of a female screaming. Deputies arrived and spoke to a female who told deputies her eleven-year-old daughter was upset and had been screaming. Deputies were able to speak with the daughter who told them everything was fine.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, at about 9:03 p.m., deputies responded to Hwy 34 near MP 51, in Benton County, for a single-vehicle crash. Vehicle #1, a blue 2006 Mini Cooper 2 door, was traveling westbound on Hwy 34 negotiating a left hairpin turn. Veh #1 went off the right side of the road, and into the gravel. Veh #1 slid further off the road and impacted the embankment. The vehicle had extensive damage to the front end with more damage on the passenger side. Both front airbags were deployed. Both occupants stated they were wearing their seatbelts. The driver stated he may have been going a little too fast for the turn, and he was not injured. The passenger had a complaint of pain and was seen by medics. She was not transported to the hospital. The vehicle was towed.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING - On October 10, 2022, at about 5:41 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the OSU Forest Trail at the end of Oak Creek Drive to assist a bicyclist who popped both tires on his bicycle and was a couple miles from the gate. Deputies arrived and contacted an 18-year-old riding his bicycle on the trails. Deputies gave him and his bicycle a ride from OSU Forest Property to OSU Campus where he lives.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On October 17, 2022, Unit #1 was traveling northbound on Highway 99W near milepost 74 in Adair Village. Unit #1 crashed into a large elk crossing the highway. Unit #1 was towed to Corvallis. No injuries were reported.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 12, 2022 at about 1:48 pm, a resident called the sheriff`s office and requested we trespass a male from a Blodgett store for 30 days. The store employee explained he received a call from two female employees that the male was being verbally aggressive, panhandling to customers coming into the store. Deputies responded to the store and contacted the male who said he was moving from the area and would be gone before the 30 days was up. The male moved to the east end of the parking lot to wait for a bus.
THEFT 3; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Monday, October 10, 2022, at about 7:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a car break-in that occurred at the Alsea Falls Recreation Area. The owner of the vehicle reported someone broke into his vehicle between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm while it was parked at the Recreation Area and took a purse belonging to his girlfriend.
THEFT 3; POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (VIOLATION) - On Saturday, October 8, 2022, deputies stopped a Ford Mustang in the 400 block of SE Mayberry Avenue for having expired registration stickers. The driver, Marcelino Avalos Sepulveda, 49, had a wallet containing his driver’s license as well as two other driver’s licenses and a small bag of methamphetamine. Sepulveda said he found the wallet at a rest stop and planned on keeping it as his own. Deputies later arrested Sepulveda for Theft of Lost Property (Theft 3) and cited him for violation Possession of Methamphetamine.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 7, 2022, at around 7:57 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99N MP 95 for a motor vehicle crash involving a green 1999 Subaru Forester in the ditch. Deputies later arrested Jared Groome, 38, of Newport, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
UUV - On October 6, 2022 at about 12:00 pm, deputies took a report of a stolen red 2008 Honda dirt bike with no license plates from the 4100 block of Highway 20. There are currently no suspects.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On October 5, 2022, deputies responded to the Good Samaritan Hospital for a report of an accidental gunshot wound. They arrived and spoke with a male near the emergency room entrance. He stated he accidentally shot his left hand while cleaning his Glock firearm.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 11, 2022, at around 5:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School for a call involving some type of juvenile runaway/custodial interference, which was unfounded. Deputies later issued Hartman a criminal citation for a warrant out of Josephine County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear-DUII.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On October 11, 2022, at 7:55 am, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of William R Carr and Arnold for a report of someone tampering with a stop sign. Deputies contacted City of Adair workers replacing the stop sign at the NW corner of the intersection. They stated sometime between last night and this morning an unknown subject worked the stop sign out of the ground. The subject carried the stop sign about a block south, leaving near city hall. This was the second time in the last week the stop sign had been taken out of the ground. No suspect info.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, at 2:43 a.m., deputies responded to the 5600 block of NW Oak Creek Dr, Corvallis, for an occupant yelling and banging on the walls. The caller wanted to remain anonymous. Deputies contacted the resident, who was intoxicated. He did not want to come to the door, but deputies could see he was lying on his bed. Deputies advised him of the complaint. He stated he was okay, and would stop being loud.
THEFT 1  FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; LITTERING; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Friday, October 7, 2022, deputies were dispatched to investigate a vehicle break-in in the 5200 block of NE Elliott Circle, Corvallis. An unknown suspect broke into an RV and stole a number of items. Security camera images of the suspect and his vehicle were shared with neighboring law enforcement agencies. Deputies located the suspect, Jared Lee Crawford, 28, of Lebanon, arrested and lodged him at the Benton County Jail.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On 10/09/2022 at approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of a violation of an order. They contacted a female by phone who sent screenshots of text messages and calls she had received on 10/08/2022 from Raymon Heyer, 36. Raymon also contacted her in person on 10/08/2022. Raymon has a jail release agreement in which he is restrained from contacting her; he was later arrested, booked, and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On October 9, 2022, at 12:54 AM, deputies stopped Mackynzie Fiddy, 22, after they observed her driving recklessly in the south gravel parking lot at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Fiddy`s driving was destroying the level gravel and cones set up for vaccination clinics. Fiddy was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving and Criminal Mischief II. Fiddy was transported to the Benton County Jail.
DUII - On October 8, 2022, at 12:59 AM, deputies stopped Mario Martin Jimenez-Garcia, 55, on SW 3rd Street near SW Cummings Avenue in Corvallis for Failure to Drive within Lane. Deputies arrested Mario for DUII after I determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Mario`s vehicle was towed as a hazard.
DWS MIS - On October 7, 2022, at around 7:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Adair Village Market for a possible DUII. They later contacted Jay Faulconer, 63, at his residence, located in the 6900 block of NW Mountain View Dr. Deputies later issued Faulconer a criminal citation for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On October 6, 2022, at around 7:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of SE Kiger Island Rd for a report of trespassing at an unoccupied residence. Deputies later contacted three juveniles who admitted to entering a residence. All three juveniles were issued criminal citations for Criminal Trespass 1st Degree and were released to their guardians.
THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On 10/3/22 at approximately 8:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 31500 block of Highway 99W for a report of a burglary. There they contacted Farm owners who told deputies that two of their firearms and $3,000 in cash had been stolen.
DUII; VEHICLE INJURY - Unit 1 was westbound on Highway 34 and went off the roadway for an unknown reason, striking the culvert headwall of Gray Creek Road. Driver TRISTEN LEE STROM, 19, was extricated with possible minor injuries and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.  STROM was later arrested for DUII.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 28, 2022, around 6:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20, near milepost 49, for a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash. When they arrived, the driver of the vehicle, a silver 2005 Chevrolet Corvette, was in the ditch on the south side of Highway 20. The driver of the vehicle said he was traveling west on Highway 20 when he had a mechanical failure of some sort, and his vehicle locked up. He said he was not able to control the vehicle and traveled across the oncoming lane, and crashed into the ditch. A tow company arrived a short time later and towed the vehicle off the scene.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 27th, 2022 at about 1:00 AM, deputies responded to the Cascade Apartments located at 525 NW Monroe Ave for a suspicious subject. A resident had previously reported several non-criminal issues regarding the areas around the Cascade Apartment, not receiving a response he called to report a burglary. Upon arrival, he described a person with mental health issues peeling paint chips off his window sill as opposed to the burglary through his window. He used the paint chip story to further explain the other non-criminal items going on around the apartment. Deputies did not locate the paint chip bandit.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 26, 2022, at about 4:30 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 20 and Granger Ave. for a two-vehicle traffic crash. They interviewed the lone occupant and drivers of each vehicle and their statements matched. They stated that the driver of a Honda CRV was eastbound on Highway 20 toward Corvallis when the driver of a Ford Econoline van was stopped on Granger Ave attempting to enter Highway 20. The Ford failed to yield right of way to the Honda and cause a collision upon her entry to Highway 20.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 26th, 2022, at about 1:30 AM, deputies stopped Terrance Fredrickson, 53, at Highway 99W and NE Conifer Blvd for a traffic violation. Deputies subsequently learned Terrance had a warrant for his arrest. Fredrickson was issued a citation in lieu of custody due to a jail closure. Warrant information: Benton County Circuit Court, Failure to appear- DUII, $6000 bail.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 25, 2022, at about 1:00 AM, deputies observed a Dodge 2500 truck with a trailer parked by itself in the parking lot of several closed businesses located in the 2400 block of NW Kings Blvd in Corvallis. Deputies subsequently arrest Donald Jeffers, 58, the lone occupant of the vehicle, for an outstanding warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 24, 2022, around 8:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to Lewisburg Avenue, near Michelle Drive, Corvallis, for a single-vehicle crash. The caller reported he crashed his vehicle into a tree, but was not injured. His vehicle was off of the roadway and was not a hazard. He told deputies he would arrange for a tow with his insurance company and was transported off the scene by a third party.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII - On September 24th, 2022, at around 12:49 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a silver Nissan Cube and conducted a DUII investigation on the driver, Sun Kim, 33, who was subsequently placed under arrest for DUII. She was issued a criminal citation for DUII, and for Reckless endangering.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On September 22, 2022 at about 12:30 PM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 2400 block of NE Strawberry Lane. The resident stated that on June 27th 2022 she had $19,700 stolen from her Central Willamette Credit Union Credit line.
DUII - On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at about 8:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance on Old River Road near Stow Pit Road. They arrived and determined this to be a vehicle crash. Deputies later arrested the driver, Raymond Edward Little III, 33, of Halsey, after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Deputies later gave Little a courtesy ride to his residence and released him.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 19, 2022, at about 7:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 27300 block of Hayden Road in Alsea regarding a suspicious vehicle. The resident stated that two vehicles, one of which was a Chevy S10 pickup, arrived in the area near her residence and began driving erratically.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 19, 2022, at about 2:00 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 99W and NW Arboretum Rd for a traffic crash with injuries.
BURGLARY 1; THEFT 1 - On Sunday, July 31, 2022, HUNTER and MARGARET GALBREATH returned to their home in the 5700 block of NE Elliot Circle, Corvallis, to find the residence had been burglarized while they were away. There are currently no leads or suspects.
THEFT 1 - On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at about 11:00 am, deputies were dispatched to a theft in progress at 5100 Highway 99W. The victim and her roommate reported two unknown males were attempting to steal the catalytic converter off their Toyota Prius. They confronted the two males, who left immediately. The suspects fled the area prior to deputy arrival and are still outstanding.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, at about 11:43 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in which Christopher Kosack, 46, was the driver. Christopher had a warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court, and his driver`s license was suspended to the degree of a Misdemeanor. Christopher was issued citations for both.
THEFT 3 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On October 3, 2022, at about 7:51 p.m., a resident called to report a theft from their family’s farm produce stand just off the roadway in the 4000 block of NW Scenic Drive, Albany. The unknown suspects stole an estimated $45 cash, broke the cash box, and possibly stole $28 worth of honey, and maybe some produce from the stand. The theft and criminal mischief occurred that day, possibly between about 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 3rd, 2022 at around 1:44 AM, deputies observed Nicholas Ragan, 32, at Hickory St and North Albany Rd. Ragan had a Benton County Circuit Court warrant with two charges for Animal Abuse II and Animal Neglect II. CPD also had PC for Ragan for a separate event. Ragan was taken into custody and later cited and released.
SEARCH AND RESCUE - On October 2, 2022, at about 8:25 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Willamette River near river mile 125, about two miles upstream of Hyak Park for two people stranded on the river bank after their personal water craft broke down. It was dark, but the boaters tried to walk out for help and fix their PWC for a few hours but were unsuccessful. Deputies responded with the Marine Patrol boat and contacted the two on the river bank with their PWC about 9:30 p.m. Deputies gave them a ride to Hyak Park boat launch and were able to safely tow the PWC to the boat ramp as well.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY – On October 1, 2022, Vehicle #1 and Vehicle #2 were traveling east on Highway 20 near milepost 5. Vehicle #1 slowed down to about 40 or 50 mph as the vehicle in front of it, was turning left, across the highway into a driveway. Vehicle #2 did not notice Vehicle #1 slowing down and collided with Vehicle #1.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 12, 2022, at approximately 7:12 PM, deputies observed a subject whom they identified as CHARLES DANIEL COATS, 36, while doing follow-up in the area of 300 Airport Rd SE, Albany, who had a confirmed active warrant for his arrest. Deputies cited and released CHARLES in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at about 10:07 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate someone screaming on Highway 20 near milepost 1. Michael Bartholomew Zimmerman, 55, had been yelling at his dog, who had run away. Zimmerman had a Corvallis Municipal Court for Failure to Appear and other crimes. Zimmerman was cited and released.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On 10/01/2022 at approximately 9:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft in the 2600 block of SE Crystal Lake Drive. They spoke with a caller who said her juvenile daughter runs a small farm stand in front of their house and this morning she discovered the lock box had been broken into. The lock box contained less than $20. There was no video of the unknown suspect.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 10th, 2022 at around 1:50 AM, deputies located Angel Ramirez, 26, on North Albany Rd and Hickory Street in Albany. Ramirez had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal court for Criminal trespass 1. He was subsequently issued a citation in lieu of custody.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On October 1, 2022, at 12:37 AM, deputies stopped a male on 3rd Street near Twin Oakes in Corvallis for Failure to Drive within Lane and Offensive Littering. The driver was cited for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured. He had a nice downhill mountain bike in the back of his pickup and told deputies an unknown person abandoned it in the back of his pickup. He agreed it would probably be a good idea for deputies to take the bike and try to locate the owner. Deputies placed the bike into evidence as Found Property.
DWS FEL; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 29th, 2022 at around 4:01 PM, deputies responded to the 5400 block of NE HWY 20 for a two-vehicle crash. Deputies determined there were no injuries and that one driver, Jerad Garcia, 45, had a revoked driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested and both vehicles were towed.
ASSAULT 4 - On Friday, September 30, 2022, at about 10:20 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of an assault in the 1000 block of N 9th Street, Philomath. A resident told deputies Angelina Juanita Morris, 51, punched them in the face during an argument on January 22, 2022. Deputies later arrested Angelina Morris for Assault 4. Angelina Morris was transported to the Polk County Jail to await arraignment.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 29th, 2022 at about 3:10 pm, deputies stopped Jason Surratt, 47, of Jefferson, at Valley View Drive and Countryman Circle in North Albany. The vehicle Surratt was driving had license plates showing the tags expired in 2020. Dispatch advised that Surratt was DWS-Revoked-Misdemeanor through Oregon DMV. Dispatch also advised that Surratt had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Albany Muni Court for Contempt of Court.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 9/28/2022 at around 7:00 PM, a man returned to his vehicle in a parking lot of 24800 Highway 34 and found the back window of his vehicle was broken. He said the glass was still intact when he got to his vehicle, but when he raised the rear window, it fell apart. He said nothing was missing from his vehicle and did not know how the window got broken. He said the window was intact when he got to work at 4:50 AM that morning
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 28, 2022, at about 12:36 pm, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run at 53rd and Reservoir. Driver 1 was northbound on 53rd St, stopped at a red light at Reservoir. An unknown color, smaller sedan ran into the back end of his vehicle. Driver 2 exited her vehicle and asked driver 1 if he was Ok. Driver 1 described her as a white female, mid 20`s, 5`5" with short dark hair. While driver 1 was on the phone with dispatch, the unknown driver left the scene. The only damage to driver 1’s vehicle was a partial imprint (scratches) of the suspect`s vehicle front plate. The plate was similar to 839UUD.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On September 28, 2022, deputies responded to SW 53rd Ave and SW Beals to recover a Red, Diamondback brand mountain bike. The bike had front suspension and disc brakes. Deputies transported the bike to the LEC and logged it into evidence as found property.
MENACING; DUII; ELUDE VEHICLE; FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE - On September 27, 2022, at approximately 8:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 16400 block of Tobacco Rd, Alsea, for a disturbance. When Jesse HIGGINS, 48, was arrested for Elude, DUII, and an out-of-state parole violation warrant.
LITTERING - On September 27, 2022, in the afternoon, deputies were dispatched to Hyak Park off Highway 20, regarding a commercial mailbox stand dumped near the Willamette River at Hyak Park. Deputies retrieved the mailbox stand from the river bank. There were no identifying addresses or any mail in the mailboxes. There are no suspects and no known victims. Deputies dropped off the mailbox cluster to the Corvallis Post Office since the mailbox said "US Mail" on it. The Post Office manager said it would have belonged to USPS, and they would try to find out more about it on their end.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 27, 2022, a resident reported a male in his sixties came to her residence and an adjacent residence on Springhill Dr in Monroe. The male made statements that he was looking for people treating his friends badly. Recent evictions have taken place at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the male described or his vehicle.
ASSAULT 4; KIDNAPPING 2 - On 9/27/2022 at approximately 1:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 6700 block of NE Pettibone Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance. There they contacted Raymon Michael Heyer, 36. Raymon was arrested for Assault 4 and Kidnapping in the 2nd Degree. Raymon was transported to and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/27/2022 at approximately 11:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run on Highway 20 near Priest Road. There they contacted a driver who said a semi-truck trailer had sideswiped her vehicle while she was turning left onto Priest Road from Highway 20. There was minimal damage to her vehicle and she was not injured. The semi-truck was not located.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 27, 2022, a female reported receiving a phone call from her husband telling her that he had maced their son. She requested a welfare check on the son, who lives in the woods near the Takena Landing trail. Deputies checked the area contacting multiple people, none of whom knew either of the men.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, deputies received a letter with a note from CPD records about the letter being possible identity theft. Deputies informed the sender of the letter that the letter appeared to be a legitimate collections notice and explained to her about signing up for a credit monitoring service and identity theft options.
DUII; MIS DWS - On 09/26/2022 at approximately 8:00 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Philomath near 13th Street and Main Street. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Michael Tucker, 34, for DUII. Tucker was processed for DUII at the Philomath Police Department. He was subsequently released to a sober friend.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 26, 2022, a female reportedly observed a late-teens to early 20`s white male in the Adair city park. The male appeared to be following her as she walked her dog. The male did not attempt to contact her.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 9/26/2022 at approximately 1:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle crash on Springhill Drive near Milepost 2. A Toyota Rav4 had swerved off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and she was transported by Albany Fire to Good Samaritan Hospital with suspected injuries. Speaking with multiple witnesses, the driver lost control of her vehicle while traveling westbound on Springhill Drive. Witnesses estimated the driver’s speed to be between 40 and 45 miles per hour.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 9/25/2022 at approximately 4:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Hills Road for a report of an injury crash. Driver 1 was traveling westbound on Reservoir in her Nissan Leaf. Driver 2 was pulling out of a driveway across traffic in order to travel eastbound on Reservoir in a Dodge Dakota pickup. The corner just before the driveway that driver 2 was pulling out of, is a blind corner. Driver 1 did not see driver 2 when she began pulling out. Driver 2 sped up in order to get into the proper lane of travel; however, driver 1 swerved into the oncoming lane in order to avoid driver 2 at which point driver 2’s vehicle impacted the driver-side portion of vehicle 2. Both drivers were uninjured and both vehicles were able to be driven off the roadway.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 21, 2022, at approximately 8:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W north of Adair. A male said he had given a female a ride but she wanted out of the vehicle when they were north of Adair. Deputies located the female on Camp Adair Rd near the railroad tracks. The female gave deputies a false name of Abigail. They eventually convinced the female to let them give her a ride to a residence in Albany.
ASSAULT 4 - On September 19, 2022, at approximately 8:30 PM, deputies responded to the 5000 block of NW Highway 99W for a Disturbance. When they arrived they determined Jennifer CAMILLE, 40, was arrested for Assault 4 and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 2; CRIMINAL MISTREATMENT 2 - On Monday, September 19, 2022, at about 11:20 am, deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School to investigate a theft and later arrested Darren Michael Bland, 46, for the theft of two bottles of generic Adderall and several other crimes.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 18, 2022, at about 5:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 24400 block of Hazel Glen Rd, Alsea. The resident stated in substance that she believed an unknown description man showed up at her residence claiming to meet someone that had sent him nude pictures. She did not see the man and received second and third-hand information that that was what he was there for. The man reportedly drove an older blue sedan. No further information.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, September 25, 2022, at about 2:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash at Harrison Boulevard and 53rd Street. Unit 1, a Toyota 4Runner, turned south onto 53rd Street from Harrison Boulevard, through a red light, and struck unit 2, a Ford F150. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no airbags deployed. Neither driver showed signs of impairment. Both vehicles were undrivable and were towed by privately-contracted tow trucks.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES DRIVER - On 9/25/2022 at approximately 10:15 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a hit and run at Monroe City Park. Deputies contacted a female who told them her car had been hit while she was down by the river. She did not see the vehicle leaving, but heard it "peeling" out.
DOG AT LARGE - On 09/25/2022 at approximately 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of NW Jackson Creek Road for a found dog. Deputies contacted a resident who had secured the dog in her car. She said she found the dog running on Crescent Valley Drive. The dog had a tag with two phone numbers listed. One phone number went to Animal Control and the other phone number went to Heartland Humane Society. Deputies transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society and left it in the care of Heartland Staff.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Sunday, September 25, 2022, at about 10:15 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a vehicle break-in in the 4800 block of NW Fir Place. The resident reported someone had entered his Ford F250 pickup and searched through the center console. Nothing was taken from inside the truck, but it appeared gas was siphoned from the vehicle`s tank.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, September 25th, 2022, at 1:04 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Hwy 99W near MP 75, for a single vehicle crash off the roadway. Vehicle #1, a silver 2006 Honda Pilot, drove off Hwy 99W to the East, and into the brush. The driver swerved to miss a deer. He stated he was traveling 45 MPH, was wearing his seatbelt, and his side airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage to the front right wheel. The driver was provided a courtesy ride home.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Saturday, September 24, 2022, at approximately 11:45 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Alpine Cutoff Road for loud music. Prior to driving to the area, deputies received information from other law enforcement who had already driven to the area and determined the music was not very loud, so no action was taken. The same caller had called back in and was not happy that nothing had been done. Deputies later drove to the area and determined the music was still not too loud.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, September 24, 2022, at about 12:30 pm, driver 1 one was driving south on Kings Valley Highway in his 2002 Volvo V70. As unit 1 slowed to turn east on Ritner road he was struck from behind by driver 2, in a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. Driver 1 and his passenger were uninjured. Driver 2 sustained minor injuries when his airbag deployed. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt and no one showed signs of impairment. Both involved vehicles drove away from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ -On 09/24/2022 at approximately 07:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 Milepost 41 for a non-injury crash of a single vehicle. The driver told deputies she was traveling west on Highway 20 when she saw an animal in her lane of travel. She approximated her speed to be between 55 and 60 miles per hour. She said she braked hard which caused her vehicle to fishtail. She was unable to regain control of her car and she told deputies her car may have spun a few times. She said she was wearing her seatbelt, and her airbags did not deploy. No animal or other vehicles were hit. The car was towed out of the ditch and the vehicle was released to the driver at the scene
WARRANT ARREST - On September 23rd, 2022 at around 8:59 PM, deputies located Taylor Miskie near SW Madison Ave and SW 6th St. Miskie had an active Linn County Circuit Court warrant for FTA DUII. Miskie was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; DWS MIS - On Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 3:00 pm, deputies saw silver Ford F150 parked on the access road to Takena Landing. They later arrested and cited the driver, Raul Anthony Gutierrez, 23, for misdemeanor driving while suspended and possession of methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 3:00 pm, deputies saw a silver Ford F150 parked on the access road to Takena Landing. The driver and registered owner of the F150, Raul Anthony Gutierrez, 23, was misdemeanor suspended and had a warrant for his arrest out of the Marion County Circuit Court. Deputies arrested Gutierrez and, at Marion County`s request, he received a citation in lieu of custody for his warrant.
THEFT 2 - On September 23, 2022, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street, Monroe, for the theft of garbage cans. The caller reported two of her garbage cans had been stolen from her residence. She told deputies she went to take her garbage out and noticed her garbage cans were missing. She told deputies she contacted her garbage service, who told her they did not take her cans, and it would cost her $70 each to replace them.
OVERDOSE - On Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to assist medics with a possible overdose in the 24300 block of Starr Creek Road. Medics later transported a male resident to the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for treatment. The male appeared to have overdosed on opioids.
THEFT 1 - On September 21, 2022, around 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone about fraudulent activity in one of his loan accounts. He reported there was $2,750 dollars missing from one of his accounts, and suspicious activity on his Amazon account. There is no suspect information at this time
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 09/20/2022 at approximately 10:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School for a report that a group of juvenile students had been shot with gel beads from an Orbeez gun on Friday, 09/16/2022. Deputies spoke with one of the fathers of the juveniles on the phone. He told deputies that none of the juveniles were injured and would like to file a report.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On September 18th, 2022, at around 8:21 PM, deputies stopped a 2009 Green GMC Pickup. The driver initially provided a fake name and was taken into custody. He was later identified as Joseph Shores, 50, of Lebanon. Shores had two Linn County Circuit Court warrants, one Lebanon Justice Court warrant, and one Lebanon Municipal court warrant. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody for providing false info to a peace officer. He was suspended violation and failed to provide proof of insurance, which he was cited for.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 18th, 2022 at around 4:06 PM, deputies located Katie Linn Wamsley, 26, walking with a longboard near Western Blvd and 6th Street. Wamsley had several warrants for her arrest including a statewide felony parole board warrant. Deputies attempted contact with Wamsley but she got on her long board and attempted to flee. After a short chase she was contacted and taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15th, 2022, at around 10:09 PM, deputies contacted Steven Lynch, 62, in the 600 block of North Albany Rd. Lynch had an active Marion County Circuit Court warrant for FTA DUII. Lynch was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
DUII - On September 12th, 2022 at about 7:15 pm, deputies stopped Rasor for Fail to Drive Within the Lane of Travel. After SFST`s, they arrested the driver, Stephanie Rasor, 43, for DUII. Later she agreed to physically cooperate and take a breath test.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On September 10th, 2022 at around 8:21 PM, deputies responded to the 29300 block of Kiwi Ln, Adair, for a fight at a wedding. The caller reported there was a fight between the neighbor and one of the wedding guests. Deputies determined a female had driven her pickup across her lawn to point it at the wedding party and began honking and flashing lights because she disapproved of the wedding music. She had a confrontation with a wedding guest and slapped her in the face.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 22, 2022, at around 4:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to South Fork Rd MP 1 for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. They later spoke with the driver who told deputies she fell asleep and drove her black 2021 GMC Sierra off the roadway, flipping it into a nearby field. The GMC is completely off the roadway and her insurance arranged for a tow.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 21, 2022, around 8:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 99 and Lewisburg Avenue, Corvallis, for a motor vehicle crash with no injuries. It was reported three vehicles were involved in the crash. Two of the three vehicles were towed and no citations were issued.
UUV - On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at approximately 6:49 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of SW 3rd Street, Corvallis for report of an Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. A resident said that sometime between 4:00 PM and 6:15 PM, someone took his black 1998 Subaru Forester from his residence. The keys were on the seat and it had approximately 3/8 of a tank of fuel. A possible suspect is a male in his 30s with dark hair and a beard seen in a vehicle matching the description on Starr Road around 5:00 PM.
HARASSMENT - On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at approximately 6:13 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24300 block of Hewett Road for report of an unknown problem. Deputies found that a male had gotten into a physical altercation with a neighbor. The male did not wish to be a victim of any crime and there was no other reporting party.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at approximately 4:31 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 6400 block of NW Sisters Place, Corvallis for report of a civil problem. EMILY G ALLSTOT, 38, had called 911 during a verbal argument with another resident. There was no crime and dispatch advised EMILY had an active, confirmed cite and release warrant which deputies served before leaving the residence.
THEFT 3 - On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at about 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Courthouse. Courthouse Security had a female detained for attempting to steal property from a backpack belonging to a male working on the courthouse. The male said nothing was stolen and did not want to be a victim if the female was counseled about leaving his belongings alone. Deputies counseled the female and told her she was free to leave.
HARASSMENT- On 09/20/2022 at approximately 11:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a harassment call in the 100 block of W Alder Street in Alsea. Deputies contacted two men by phone. One man told deputies that his son was being harassed by his daughter. Deputies later spoke with the other man, who told deputies the same.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, September 19, 2022, at approximately 3:01 PM, deputies responded to the area of Springhill Drive near milepost 3 for a report of an injury motor vehicle crash. A driver had been driving south on Springhill Drive in his 2017 Subaru Crosstrek when he left the roadway to the right while attempting to change the radio station. He continued partially in the ditch for approximately 200 feet before the vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver sustained minor injuries and left with his fiancé.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/18/22, DEPUTIES WAS PREPARING CUSTODY FILES FOR RELEASE AND LEARNED FULFORD, KATHRYN, 29, HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA DUII. FULFORD WAS GIVEN A COURT DATE AND TIME.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, September 18, 2022, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious circumstance in the 26400 block of Alpine Road, Monroe. The reporting person told deputies he received two threatening phone calls from an unlisted number the previous night.
HARASSMENT - On September 17, 2022, at about 4:18 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of West Alder Street for possible trespass in progress where people were refusing to leave, threats being made, and at least one involved person at the address had a firearm. Initially it was a civil matter until a fight broke out between KARL POAGE, 59, on one side, then ROBERT BRZENZINSKI, 37, and another male on the other. The two were cited for Harassment.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 17, 2022, at about 1:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in the 6900 block of NW Cardinal Drive in Corvallis. Deputies arrived to speak with a female who stated she was dog sitting and heard something on the deck that sounded like a person. She stated she also heard the slider door open and she locked herself in the bathroom. Deputies searched the house and did not find any evidence anyone entered the home. They also noticed all items that could be taken or worth money were untouched. Deputies provided her with their business card and told her to call back if anything further happened.
UUV - On September 15, 2022, around 11:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone about a vehicle of his being stolen. He said he had a green, 1969 Ford F100 parked in the field at the intersection of Williams and Alpine Road. He said he received a text from one of his neighbors on September 14, that the truck was gone. He said the truck had four deflated tires, did not have a battery, was missing the front bumper, and would not likely have license plates on it. There are no suspects at this time.
HARASSMENT- On 09/12/2022 at approximately 3:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of harassment in the 24500 block of Evergreen Road in Philomath. Deputies contacted a resident who said her neighbor was yelling at her through the fence and had followed her while she walked her dog. She said she already looked into a Stalking Protection Order and a Restraining Order but she did not qualify. She was previously told by a deputy in a separate incident that it is best to ignore her neighbor and not engage with her. Deputies told her that nothing criminal had occurred between them and reiterated that the best course of action was to avoid her neighbor.
THEFT 1; FORGERY 1 - On 09/12/2022, deputies were dispatched to a report of a fraud. Deputies spoke with a resident who said he had two cashier`s checks from Oregon State Federal Credit Union that were marked as fraudulent by Wells Fargo. One of the cashier`s checks was for $37,950.00 and the other check was for $7,850.00. Oregon State Federal Credit Union said that they will not put a hold on either of the cashier`s checks. The resident said that he had already locked the remainder of his accounts.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 09/12/22 at approximately, 1:25 pm, LEWIS, WILL NATHAN, 24, of Lebanon, reported to the Benton County Jail on a warrant for Failure to perform duties of a driver-hit and run- through Linn County. The warrant was confirmed and a new court date and time were given by Linn County. LEWIS, Will signed a release agreement and was released from the jail`s custody.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On August 27, 2022, at about 12:35 AM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 180 and Atticus Lane for a criminal mischief complaint. The road sign for Atticus Lane was cut down by a saw. No suspect information was available. The damage to the sign was only heard and not seen. The road department was notified to have a replacement sign put up.
THEFT 3 - On September 17, 2022, at 4:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis for a theft. The store clerk told deputies a white male in his 20`s, with dirty blond hair, a tan shirt, blue jeans and gauged ears took a Margarita Mixed Drink and M&M`s without paying. The clerk said he told the male he was going to call the cops. The clerk said the male smiled and patted him on the head. The male left in an older 4-door sedan, tan in color. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
CUSTODIAL INTERFERENCE 2 - On September 16, 2022, deputies responded to 600 Dragon Drive (Monroe Grade School) to try and intercept Linda Lee Jackson, 44, of Lebanon prior to picking up her two children for her allotted visitation and investigate where her 14-year-old female daughter was being kept. Deputies received information that there had been a writ of assistance issued on September 6, 2022, by Linn County Circuit Court to attempt to locate. Deputies arrested Linda for Custodial Interference II and transported her to Linn County Jail where she was lodged.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Friday, September 16, 2022, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a theft in the 1800 block of Wooded Knolls Drive. A resident reported about $120 had been stolen from a farm stand in front of her house at about 6:45 am. She did not see the suspects. Deputies visited the scene and spoke with the neighbors, but did not find any evidence of the suspect`s identity.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at approximately 7:00 P.M., deputies contacted a male in an area that he may be trespassing. They later learned that the male had been evicted from a house on the road and was not welcome in the area. Deputies warned him for trespassing and he left.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 8th, 2022, at about 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to N Hwy 99W for a non-injury crash. Upon arrival, both vehicles had been moved off the roadway. There was damage to the front of both vehicles but there was no injuries reported. The Toyota Rav4 was towed and deputies gave that driver a ride. The Rav4 was driven away by the valid driver/owner.
IDENTITY THEFT – On September 8, 2022, at about 9:30 a.m., deputies spoke to a resident in the 900 block of Overlook Drive. He reported identity theft and computer crimes with a loss total of $149.00. No suspects.
THEFT 1 - On September 14, 2022, at about 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to the angler pond at EE Wilson Wildlife area. A Honda Fit was broken into and a purse was stolen. No suspects.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 14, 2022, around 11:30 AM, deputies were on patrol, in a marked patrol vehicle, in the area of 11th Street and Cleveland Avenue, Corvallis. They observed a black Chrysler 300, turn onto Cleveland Avenue without signaling for 100 feet, violating ORS 811.335 Unlawful Turn. The driver, Andrea Rachel Dorman, 37, was issued a criminal citation for her cite and release Trespass 1 warrant, and a traffic citation for Driving While Suspended Violation.
WARRANT ARREST; DWS MIS - On September 12, 2022, at about 11:25 p.m., deputies stopped JENNIFER HIGGINS, 45, for numerous traffic violations on Highway 20, near milepost 1, when she was driving a black Honda Civic. HIGGINS did not stop right away, and pulled into Hewlett Packard`s driveway and stopped blocking the roadway. Deputies arrested HIGGINS for DWS (Misdemeanor/Revoked), a custody warrant out of Clackamas County for DWS Misdemeanor/Revoked, and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and later released. HIGGINS’ vehicle was towed since it was a traffic hazard. Deputies cited HIGGINS for Driving Uninsured and Fail to Drive Within Lane.
DWS MIS - On September 11th, 2022, at about 9:05 am, deputies stopped Ricky David Rasmussen, 41, for improper display of DWV license plate stickers. Rasmussen was DWS-Misdemeanor through Oregon DMV. Deputies cited and released Rasmussen for the DWS Misdemeanor and he was released.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 9th, 2022, at around 7:30 PM, deputies received a report from a driver regarding a hit and run. He reported he was at a wedding earlier, and when he left, he observed damage to the front bumper of his vehicle. There was a note left on his windshield which read in substance "Blue Honda Odyssey Van." I located the owner of the van and was able to get the two men in contact with each other and they exchanged information.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 10th, 2022, at around 01:32 AM, deputies contacted Curtis Dorman, 19, near a motorcycle at a motel in Corvallis. Dorman had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for DWS misdemeanor. He was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 9th, 2022, at around 5:55 PM, deputies received a report of a hit and run that occurred at HWY 34 MP 45. The caller reported that a white pickup crossed the center line of the road and the truck`s oversized tow mirror hit his vehicle’s mirror and windshield, causing damage.
PUBLIC INDECENCY MISD - On September 8, 2022, at about 10:45 a.m., deputies were in the area of SW 5th St and SW Washington Ave when dispatch aired a report of a male likely masturbating in public with his pants down. Deputies contacted a male with significant abscesses and wounds on his buttocks and genitals who was rubbing Vasoline on the wounds and scratching them. Deputies told him to cover his genitals. He said he would and refused medical assistance.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 27th, 2022, deputies responded to a single-vehicle roll-over crash in the 20800 block of Bellfountain Rd. The driver was uninsured. The vehicle was towed and the driver was transported to the Grayhound station in Corvallis.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 12, 2022, at about 1:27 pm, deputies were running stationary radar in the school zone at Muddy Creek School on Bellfountain Rd. They observed a Penske Box truck traveling northbound through the school zone at 45 mph. They made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Sebastian Cazarez Campos, 28, of Salem. Campos had a confirmed no bail Marion County Circuit Court warrant for FTA Criminal Mischief II. Deputies issued Campos a citation with a Marion County Court date.
STRANGULATION; INTERFERE W/ MAKING A REPORT; ASSAULT 4 - On 09/11/2022, at approximately 1:25 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at Northwest Independence Highway and Camp Adair Road. There they contacted Amber Curtis, 33. Amber was arrested for Strangulation, Assault 4, and Interfering with making a report. Amber was transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
THEFT 3 - On September 8, 2022, deputies spoke with a resident regarding a stolen license plate from his 2010, Ford F-150. He had no information as to when or where the license plate was stolen. The license plate will be entered as stolen.
MENACING - On September 8, 2022, at about 7:45 a.m., deputies responded to a menacing, road rage incident traveling 99 from Monroe. Two men were contacted. No weapons were located or involved during the incident.
WARRANT ARREST - On 08/25/22 at approximately 2:23 am, deputies cited DAVIS, Sarah M, 28 on an active warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. A new court date was issued for DAVIS and she was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 18, 2022, Nicole Patterson, 24, reported to the jail on a warrant for FTA - Poss. Stolen Veh / No Bail. She was released with a court date after warrant was cleared.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 11, 2022, Alex Mayberry, 34, reported to the jail with warrants for FTA theft 1, UUMV, PCS heroin, PCS meth / no bail. Mayberry was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - ANGELA REID, 47, turned herself in at the front door of the Benton County Jail on 6/27/2022. REID was released with a release agreement and a new court date.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 3, 2022, at around 1:10 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on an orange 2008 Dodge Challenger near SW 53rd St and Philomath Blvd. They later arrested Steven Graves, 57, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 29, 2022, deputies responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury crash on Independence Hwy near Gilmore Lane. Driver 1 was traveling north when he drove onto the shoulder, over corrected, and ended up rolling the vehicle. No obvious injuries and the vehicle was towed.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 9/12/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:23 AM, DEPUTIES CITED RAN DEANE, RHONDA, 45, ON A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA PCS METH, NO BAIL. LINN COUNTY CHOSE TO GIVE A COURT DATE AND TIME. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON DEANE WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL, 190 NW 4TH STREET IN CORVALLIS.
DWS FEL; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 10th, 2022, deputies arrested JEFFREY SCOTT BARKER, 35, out of Siletz, on a felony caution warrant for kidnapping in the second degree out of Marion County after a traffic stop on Highway 223 near Highway 20.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 9, 2022, at around 11:45 pm, deputies contacted a woman in a blue 2007 Saturn Aurura at the Chevron gas station near North Albany Rd and Hickory Rd. They later issued Allysa Lambert, 50, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of Court.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - DEVON BONDE, 33, of Shedd, turned himself in at BCJ on a warrant for FTA - Assault IV out of Benton County Circuit Court. Bonde  was taken into custody and booked, then forced released pretrial due to overcrowding. Bonde signed a release agreement with `no unlawful contact with victim.'
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, September 9, 2022, at about 4:30 pm, deputies were serving an eviction notice in the 3900 block of Witham Hill Drive when they discovered one of the tenants, Derek Tyson Bellamy, 34, was wanted on a Linn County Circuit Court felony warrant. Deputies arrested Bellamy on the warrant and later issued him a citation with a new court date at Linn County`s request.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, September 8, 2022, at about 8:30 pm, Deputies were dispatched to 53rd Street and Walnut Boulevard for a vehicle crash. Vehicle 1 failed to yield the right of way to driver 2 in the intersection. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to damage.
POSS OXYCODONE; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS - On September 8, 2022, at 8:43 PM, deputies stopped Marcus Martell, 33, of Salem, on Interstate 5 near Concomly Road NE Salem for traveling 91 miles per hour. Prior to obtaining the radar reading, they observed Martell traveling over an estimated 100 miles per hour. Deputies later arrested Martell for DUII and Reckless Driving after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Martell was Driving While Suspended and in Possession of Oxycodone. Martell consented to a Breath Test and Urine Test. Martell refused to complete a Drug Influence Evaluation and was cited into Marion County Circuit Court.
UUV; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 9, 2022, at around 6:08 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of SW Plymouth Dr for a report of UUMV. A resident reported discovering that sometime within the past two nights someone entered his barn and stole his orange 1970 Honda Trail 70. No current suspects.
THEFT 1 - On September 8, 2022, at about 1:15 p.m., deputies spoke to a resident in the 6900 block of NW Zinfandel Ln who reported a fraudulent bank account opened in his name with a $3,397.05 loss of finances from various accounts.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 9/7/2022 at around 2:00 AM, a driver was traveling toward Highway 34 on BLM 10 near Marys Peak. Around MP4, he swerved to miss a deer and drove off the roadway, hitting a tree to stop him from going down the hillside. He walked out to Highway 34 and got a ride to his residence. That morning he called a tow company to have them tow his vehicle due to the damage from the crash. He stated he did not know he needed to call Law Enforcement after crashing his vehicle. He declined medical care.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On September 7, 2022 at about 8 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of NW Country Ct. A resident became a victim of a Publisher`s Clearing House Scam. Deputies documented the scam and case was forwarded to authorities in Florida for follow up.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On September 2, 2022, at approximately 3:33 pm, MATHEWS, OCEANA SEREN RAIN, 21, of Portland, reported to the jail located at 190 NW 4th Street Corvallis, OR 97330, for a warrant for DUI x2. Deputies issued Mathews a release agreement with a new court date, which she signed and then was released from the jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 2, 2022, around 11:45AM, deputies were dispatched to a single-motor vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 34, near Missouri Bend Park. The rider identified as Elmer Gene Goertzen, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for his injuries by the Corvallis Fire Department.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - Jason Denault, 32, came into custody from the hub via Multnomah County on Sept 1, 2022. He had a Lebanon Municipal warrant for FTA Assault IV. Lebanon Muni gave court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 8/29/2022, at approximately 11:10 am, Adam Nicklaus Wiebe, 26, reported to the Benton County Jail, located at 190 NW 4th Street Corvallis, Or 97330, for a warrant for theft three. Deputies issued Wiebe a new court date and he was released from the jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 1, 2022, at around 5:09 pm, deputies observed a woman biking through Takena Landing Park while a small dog ran alongside her in the heat of the day. They contacted the woman to investigate the crime of Animal Abuse in the 2nd Degree and later arrested Jennifer James, 50, for and Oregon State Parole Board warrant. James was transported to Linn County Jail where she was lodged.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 1st, 2022 at about 2:49 A.M., a resident reported hearing what he believed was the door of one of his vehicles closing in the 31900 block of Fern Road in Philomath. He stated he is a light sleeper and he looked outside and saw a male figure in a denim jacket at the back of his SUV. He could not provide any other descriptors. He said he turned on some lights and went outside and checked his entire property and found nobody around, and nothing disturbed or stolen. Philomath Police and BCSO checked the area and found nothing.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, deputies stopped a green colored Dodge minivan for having an expired license plate tag on Bellfountain Road near 53rd Street. They arrested the passenger, Angela Alice Filip, 25, for six warrants out of Benton County. Angela was issued citations with a court date and time provided by the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS; FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at about 7:00 P.M., deputies stopped a red Mercedes for speeding on Highway 20 near milepost 41. They arrested Timothy Alan Coonrod, 44, for a Lincoln county warrant, driving while suspended misdemeanor, and fail to register as a sex offender. Timothy was issued citations and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On August 31, 2022, at around 6:01pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of Bullevard for a reported Trespass and arrested Jacquie Schwartzman, 65. She was released with a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 31, 2022, Kimberly Ann Barnes, 51, was arrested on numerous warrants at the rear entrance of the Benton County Courthouse, 120 NW 4th St. Corvallis. Barnes was lodged at the jail.
THEFT 1 - On August 31, 2022, at about 11:18 am, deputies spoke with a resident about a scam. He called a phone number he received from a Geek Squad email. During the conversation, an unknown male subject with a foreign accent, gained remote access to his computer. While on the computer, the subject made it appear his bank account had been emptied. The subject demanded payment in the form of gift cards to receive the money back into his account. He purchased two $500 Target cards from Safeway and provided the numbers to the subject. Realizing it was a scam, took the necessary steps to protect all of his financial accounts.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 30, 2022, at around 6:00 pm, deputies contacted Kevin Fuller, 58, in Takena Landing Park and later issued Fuller a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 26, 2022, around 10:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident about a suspicious circumstance at his residence in the 34000 block of Mary`s River Estates Road, Philomath. He told deputies he had noticed a small area of his firewood pile had been charred and burned. He said he suspected it happened sometime in the past three to four days. Deputies advised him to put up cameras around his property in case anyone returned to reignite the wood pile, and to put, "No Trespassing," signs on his property.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 4, 2022, deputies stopped a silver Dodge Avenger in the 400 block of NW 2nd Street, Corvallis, for having an unlawful license plate cover. They later arrested the driver, Bradley Neil Damewood, 43, on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant. At the request of the Lebanon Municipal Court, Damewood was cited and released.
LITTERING - On Sunday, September 4, 2022, at about 12:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a sign that had been placed on the grass in front of the Benton County Jail at 190 NW 4th Street. When they arrived at the scene, they found a large, hand-painted sign that read "Human Zoo" with an arrow pointing toward the Jail. No one was present with the sign and none of the cameras at the Jail saw the sign being placed. The sign was removed and placed in the garbage.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, September 4, 2022, at about 12:10 pm, deputies stopped a white Buick sedan on Philomath Boulevard near Western Boulevard after watching it make several un-signaled turns. They later arrested the driver, Joshua Allen Gilmore, 27, for misdemeanor driving while suspended. Gilmore was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 4th, 2022, at 2:30 am, deputies arrested Crystal Villanueva, 35, for an Albany warrant at 500 N Albany Rd/Hwy 20. She was cited and released.
THEFT 2 - On 09/03/2022 at approximately 11:13 hours, deputies took a Fraud report. A female was trying to rent a car from "Thrifty Car Company". She was ultimately scammed for $960.00.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 – On September 3, 2022, at about 11:08 a.m., deputies spoke to a woman by phone regarding her vehicle window being broken at Crescent Valley High School during the football game the previous night. No suspects.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Saturday, September 3, 2022, at about 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a possible domestic disturbance in the 27600 block of Highway 99. A couple was in the process of separating when deputies arrived. No crime had been committed.
THEFT 2 - On Saturday, September 3, 2022, at about 7:00 am, deputies was dispatched to investigate a reported theft from 525 Monroe Avenue. A female had taken a rolling recycling bin from the address and was using it to transport her personal belongings. She agreed to remove her personal items from the bin and return it to where it belonged. She was warned against taking items that did not belong to her and yelling at people on the street.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 2, 2022, at around 5:02 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of E Main St, Alsea for a report of Criminal Mischief where a caller reported a man driving a garden tractor with trailer knocked his side mirror of his truck while it was parked along E Main St. The caller showed deputies security footage from August 31 at 2:54 pm that showed the incident. Deputies later spoke with the man who said he must not have noticed he hit the truck. They agreed to have a mutual acquaintance mediate reimbursement of the mirror.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On September 2, 2022, at about 11:20 a.m., deputies spoke to a caller regarding a possible Probation Violation of a female at Oak Grove School. It was determined that her probation had expired.
DWS MIS; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 1, 2022, at about 5:50 AM, deputies stopped an Oldsmobile cutlass near 2nd Street and Harrison Boulevard. The driver, Jacob Wilson, 35, was arrested for a Marion County warrant and DWS-Misdemeanor. He was later released on citation.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 1st, 2022, at about 5:50 am, deputies were traveling northbound on 3rd Street in Corvallis when they observed a vehicle in front of them with no taillights. Deputies stopped the driver, Josselyn Jack, 31, and learned that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Albany Muni Court. Deputies cited Jack for, DWS-Violation, Driving Uninsured and Expired Tags. She was cited and released on the warrant for Child Neglect II.
