WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, February 16, 2020 at about 11:10 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, MICHAEL BART BROWN, 41, had an outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court Warrant for P.V.-D.W.S. Violation (X2). BROWN was issued a citation in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, February 15, 2020, at about 8:50 A.M., deputies were attempting to serve a civil paper to Elijah Whitney Williams, 36. While they were speaking to Williams, dispatch advised he had two confirmed warrants for his arrest. Williams was arrested, cited and released.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, DWS MIS - On February 15, 2020, at 3:16 am, deputies stopped Rebel Tester, 32, for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor on Twin Oaks Circle near 3rd Street in Corvallis. Tester was arrested Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. The front seat passenger, Kylee Leeling was arrested, 23, for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, February 13, 2020, at approximately 11:26 P.M., deputies contacted HARLEY DUNN, 19, near 3rd Street and Monroe Avenue. HARLEY had two confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies arrested HARLEY and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was released with a court.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On February 13, 2020, at about 6:30 pm, deputies spoke with a woman by phone who reported being scammed by an individual from New York, who claimed to work for her cable company. She paid this individual $5000 via gift cards to secure and update her computer system. Deputies contacted the gift card business and was able to determine a $4000 gift card had been flagged and she was eligible for a reimbursement.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, February 13, 2020, at about 3:50 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop with a white Honda Accord. They learned the driver of the Accord, Richard Allen Sather, 30, had a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant. Albany Municipal Court issued Sather a new court date and time and he was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On February 13, 2020, at 4:18 am, deputies and I responded to the 2000 block of SW 3rd Street in Corvallis for a Warrant Service. Michelle Runyan, 34, was arrested on a confirmed warrant out of Benton County for Probation Violation/ Possession of Heroin, No Bail. Runyan was lodged at the Benton County Jail. Kylee Leeling, 23, was arrested on a confirmed warrant of Linn County for FTA Possession of Methamphetamine, No Bail. Leeling was lodged at the Linn County Jail by Linn County Deputies. Rebel Tester, 32, was cited for Interfering with a Peace Officer and Hindering Prosecution.
ASSAULT 2, THEFT 2, UUV, UNLAW USE OF WEAPON, APA MENACING - On Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at about 2:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25000 block of Green Peak Road for the report of an assault. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital due to injuries sustained in the assault. David Urbach, 38, was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, February 10, 2020, at about 10:05 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Philomath Blvd. near 36th St. for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, CURTIS WAYNE ANDRADA, 35, had three outstanding Warrants. Deputies arrested ANDRADA transported him to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at about 7:50 A.M., Vehicle #1 was traveling north on Springhill Drive near Scenic Drive. Vehicle #1 attempted to get out of ruts that were allegedly in the roadway. Vehicle #1 overcorrected and drove off the road into a field on the east side, then rolled over. The driver reported headaches and dizziness, but declined an ambulance ride. Deputies transported the driver to Good Samaritan Hospital ER in Corvallis.
CONTEMPT OF COURT, PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT, CONTEMPT OF COURT - On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, around 1:50 A.M., deputies stopped a yellow Audi on Highway 20 near milepost 39 for a traffic violation. The driver, Craig Snyder, 41, was arrested on three warrants. Snyder was transported to the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, around 12:40 A.M., deputies arrested David Olson, 34, for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor on Highway 20 near Milepost 40. Olson was driving a white Jeep and was issued a criminal citation.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 9:36 AM, deputies observed a male and female walking near 400 NW 2nd Street in Corvallis. They recognized the male as a drug user they were familiar with from previous contacts named THYSEN SCARBOROUGH, 28. Dispatch informed deputies SCARBOROUGH had a confirmed felony warrant. Deputies arrested SCARBOROUGH for his outstanding warrant and he was ultimately transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On February 11, 2020, at around 9:10 am, deputies checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at a local motel in Corvallis, which was a Dodge pickup truck that had Oregon License Plates that belonged to a Dodge Neon Car. Deputies contacted the occupant who was sitting in the driver`s seat. Jacob Ellingsen, 36, of Albany had three misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. Ellingsen was arrested for the warrants and was taken to the Linn County Jail in Albany.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 2/9/20, BOBBITT, STEPHANIE, 34, WAS SCHEDULED TO BE RELEASED AFTER RETURNING FROM NORCOR. BOBBITT WAS RAN FOR WARRANTS AND SHE HAD ONE OUT OF LEBANON MUNI FOR PV-FAIL TO CARRY, BAIL $4300.00. BOBBITT WAS ISSUED A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, February 10, 2020, at about 6:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on NW Springhill Drive and NW Picadilly Circle near Albany. They arrived to find Car 1 in a ditch blocking the southbound lane. Car 1 attempted to use a driveway to turn around but misjudged the width of the driveway and slid its passenger side tire in the ditch. Car 1 was unable to get out and required a tow to pull it free. No damage was done to the vehicle or property.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On Sunday, February 9, 2020 at about 5:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to an Injury Motor Vehicle Crash on Highway 20 near Priest Road. Upon arriving on scene, they observed a male and a female lying on Highway 20. The male was transported by ambulance and the female was transported by air to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. The female was in Critical Condition and the male was stable.
VIOL COURT STALKING PROTECT ORDER - On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at about 11:15 am, deputies spoke with a victim on the phone regarding a violation of stalking order and later arrested Brian Oliver Berkey, 42, for violation of that stalking order at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office. Berkey was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER, PAROLE VIOLATION, FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Thursday, February 6, 2020, at approximately 12:10 PM, deputies went to the 23000 block of Maxfield Creek Road to locate JIMMIE BARTON, 46, who had multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants. Deputies arrested BARTON and transported him to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged. Deputies also charged BARTON with Fail to Register as a Sex Offender.
DELIVER METH 1000 FT SCHOOL, DUII, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at approximately midnight, deputies arrested Karissa Sevier, 25, of Salem and Tyler Malloy, 25, of Corvallis, for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, near 3rd and Lilly in Corvallis. Additionally, deputies arrested Malloy for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, February 10, 2020, at 1:15 am, deputies stopped Jessica Farrell, 35, for a traffic violation near 5th and Polk in Corvallis and issued her a criminal citation for a contempt of court warrant out of Lane County Circuit Court.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, February 9, 2020, at about 2:30 P.M., deputies were patrolling on Highway 99W near milepost 94 when they observed a Gray Toyota Camry driving over the fog line. They initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Anna Elizabeth Doyle, 35. Dispatch advised Doyle had suspended misdemeanor driver license. Deputies arrested Doyle and issued her a criminal citation.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, February 6th, 2020, at 9:22 p.m., deputies responded to Hwy 99W / MP 75, Adair Village regarding a vehicle that struck a deer. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the driver who was not injured. His vehicle was damaged down the passenger side.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On February 4, 2020, at approximately 4:15 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 and Circle for a report of a non-injury traffic crash.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, February 1, 2020, at about 3:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash near the intersection of Highway 20 and Circle Blvd. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to the driver who said he was driving west on Highway 20, when he fell asleep and went into the ditch on the north side of the Highway. The driver was not injured and his vehicle was towed.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Sunday, February 9, 2020, at approximately 11:50pm, deputies stopped JD Harris, 37, for a traffic violation near Bridgeway and Atwood in Corvallis and arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On February 9, 2020, at around 1:35pm, deputies contacted Muriel Hubbard, 53, near the Monroe High School in Monroe. Muriel was walking southbound on 5th Street and appeared to be high on drugs. Muriel had three (3) Corvallis Municipal warrants for her arrest: 1) FTA Open Container, 2) FTA Illegal Camping, and 3) FTA Criminal Trespass 2. Muriel was cited and released for the warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at about 6:35 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost #55 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, TENILLE MARIE CLOSE, 44, had an outstanding Warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for a Probation Violation. CLOSE was issued a citation in the field and released.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at about 1:15 P.M., deputies were patrolling 3rd Street near Bridgeway Avenue when they observed Robin Holly Rindfusz, 37, walking north on 3rd Street. They learned Rindfusz had a confirmed State Parole Board warrant. Rindfusz was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
DUII  .08 THRU .14 - On February 7, 10:53 pm, deputies contacted Austin Snyder, 23, in Monroe City Park. Snyder was sleeping inside his vehicle with the engine running. Snyder was extremely intoxicated and there were open beer cans inside the vehicle with him. Deputies advised Snyder if he drove from the location, he would be arrested for DUII. At about 11:10 pm, deputies noticed Snyder`s vehicle was no longer at the park. At about 11:25 pm, they located Snyder`s vehicle behind the church on S 5th Street near Dragon Drive in Monroe. Snyder refused Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested for DUII. Snyder was lodged at the Benton County Jail and his blood alcohol content was .13%.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, RECKLESS DRIVING, ELUDE VEHICLE, DWS MIS, WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, February 7, 2020, at about 9:35 A.M., deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Gray Ford Focus, that was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the Ford failed to yield for approximately 10 miles and reached speeds over 100 MPH. The Ford stopped at Highway 20 near Mustang lane. The driver, Brandon Kyle Mailen, 30, and passenger, Nicole Dawn Roby, 18, were both arrested for confirmed outstanding warrants. Both individuals were transported to Benton County Jail where they were released due to overcrowding.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Wednesday, January 5, 2020, at about 6:53 am, deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Highway 20 for the report of a guest refusing to leave. The suspect was given a curtesy transport to Albany.
DUII DRUGS - On February 2, 2020, at approximately 7:50PM, deputies stopped Michele SKAGGS-RIOS, 51, on Finley just off Highway 99W for Failure to Maintain Lane and suspicion of DUII. Deputies could smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. SKAGGS-RIOS had watery, bloodshot eyes and admitted to using cannabis earlier in the day. SKAGGS-RIOS consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Michele SKAGGS-RIOS for DUII and transported her to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office where she was arrested for DUII drugs.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, February 6, 2020, at about 8:00 A.M., Vehicle #1 was traveling west on Highway 20, near Granger Avenue. The driver of Vehicle #1 stated he was driving, then woke up in the ditch. Vehicle #1 drove off the north side of the road, hit a power pole support wire, then rolled over onto the railroad tracks. The driver denied medical transport.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On February 5, 2020, at about 8:27 a.m., deputies were traveling northbound on Highway 99W just north of NE Elliot Circle. They witnessed a Honda Civic crash into a Chrysler van, stopped for a Toyota Prius, stopped for a school bus, that was stopped on the opposing lane of travel with its emergency flashers. Deputies cited the driver of the Civic for Following Too Closely. The driver admitted this violation contributed to the reason for the crash.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, FAIL TO APPEAR, FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, around 12:40 A.M., on Highway 20 near Davis Road, Maria Walton, 40, was arrested on a Clackamas County warrant for Abscond and a Douglas County warrant for UUV. David Keefaver, 34, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Meth and issued a criminal citation. Matthew Lentz, 56, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Meth and issued a criminal citation.
ASSAULT 4, DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING, ASSAULT 4 (x6) - On February 2, 2020, at about 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Circle Blvd near Highway 20 in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. Six patients were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies arrested the driver of a 2009 Infinity, Saul Lopez-Arellano, 23. Saul voluntarily submitted two breath samples, which were a .180 BAC and a .170 BAC. Saul was lodged at the Benton County Jail on charges of DUII, Reckless Driving and Assault IV (x6).
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, February 2, 2020, at about 4:15 P.M., deputies were patrolling on Avery Street near 3rd Street, when they observed a yellow Ford Mustang with expired tags. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and learned the passenger, Robert Keith Lewis, 47, had a confirmed probation violation warrant. Deputies arrested and transported Lewis to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On Sunday, February 2, 2020, at approximately 11:25 A.M., deputies stopped Juan Gabriel Valero, 35, on Highway 20 near milepost 39 for a traffic violation. Valero`s probation officer put a detainer on Valero for having contact with the passenger. Deputies arrested Valero for a probation violation detainer and transported him to the Benton County Jail, where he was lodged.
DUII - On February 5, 2020, at about 1:00 a.m., deputies responded to North Albany to attempt to locate a possible impaired driver. Deputies saw the vehicle driving on Springhill near Highway 20. They followed the vehicle to Pacific Highway and 12th Street and stopped it for suspicion of DUII. Deputies arrested the driver, Marion Ray Hokland, 54, for DUII and Fail to Obey a Traffic Control Device. Hoklnad was transported to Benton County Jail where he provided a breath sample of .12 BAC. He was cited into Linn County Circuit Court and lodged at the jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, February 3, 2020, at about 10:30 A.M., driver 1 was traveling west on Highway 34. She stated her small dog "threw up" which distracted her, causing her to drive off the roadway. She over-corrected and drove off the highway down an embankment and got stuck.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, DUII DRUGS, RECKLESS DRIVING - On February 3, 2020, at about 6:15 a.m., deputies arrived at a crash at Highway 20 near MP 7. A tan 1988 Subaru was off the road and stuck in a muddy field. Deputies arrested Selina Ford-Blackburn, 35, for DUII- Drugs, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER, WARRANT ARREST – On February 2, 2020, at around 1:22 A.M., deputies contacted Karly Ann Tarvin on the 1900 block of SW 3rd St. After a short foot chase TARVIN was taken into custody for five confirmed warrants, Interfering with a Police or Probation Officer and Possession of Methamphetamine. She was also in possession of recently stolen property, which was returned to the owner, who declined to be a victim in the case. The jail was closed due to overcrowding and TARVIN was released with citations.
WARRANT ARREST - On February 2, 2020 at around 9:31 P.M., deputies stopped a red 1998 Chevy Malibu at NW Independence Hwy and NW Ryals Ave for a speed violation. Sergio Manuel Rodriguez, 27, was later arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for a Parole Violation warrant.
DUII DRUGS - On February 2, 2020, at 2:09 AM, deputies stopped Keenan Walz Schall, 23, on SW Tunison Avenue near SW 3rd Street in Corvallis for driving without headlights. They later arrested Schall for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Schall refused a Drug Influence Evaluation and refused to provide a urine sample. Schall was cited and released to a sober driver.
DWS MIS - On February 2, 2020, deputies arrested REBEL LEE TESTER, 32, for driving while suspended misdemeanor after a traffic stop on Plymouth Drive and 53rd Street.
ANIMAL NEGLECT 2 - On Friday, January 31, 2020, at about 10:00 am, I responded to 4435 Westview Place to conduct an eviction move out order. I later cleared the residence and had Animal Control Officer O`Neill seize a malnourished lab shepherd mix dog. The dog was taken to Heartland Humane Society for treatment. I later arrested the dog owner, Denise Marie Zunck for Animal Neglect II. Zunck was issued a criminal citation and released.
POSS HEROIN, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION -  On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, around 1:45 A.M., deputies arrested Brandon Alexander, 29, on an Albany Municipal FTA warrant. Alexander was issued a court date and released. Deputies arrested Kristopher Jones, 27, for Unlawful Possession of Meth and Heroin. Jones was issued a criminal citation and released. The two arrests resulted from a traffic stop on a Ford Ranger on Highway 20 near milepost 47.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, February 3, 2020, at approximately 1:30 am, deputies arrested Joseph Altieri, 35, for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. They located Altieri during a traffic stop at 3rd and Richmond in Corvallis. Altieri was cited and released.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On Sunday, February 2, 2020, around 8:10 P.M., deputies arrived on Philomath Boulevard and Country Club for a vehicle in the ditch. The driver was turning east off Country Club and turned too sharp causing her white Lexus to go into the south side ditch. The vehicle was pulled from the ditch and there were no injuries or damage.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On February 2, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the area of Decker Road and Peterson Road for a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived at the Benton County Public Works gravel lot they saw a white Ford Aerostar van parked next to a "County Vehicles Only" sign. The occupants were sleeping inside the van. Deputies told the driver he needed to move along as the area was posted no parking.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, January 31, 2020, at about 9:15 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver of the vehicle, HEATHER LYNN STAHLNECKER, 38, had an outstanding Felony Warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for F.T.A. - P.C.S. HEROIN. Deputies cited and released her in the field.
DUII DRUGS. On Monday, January 21, 2020, at around 4:40 PM, Christopher Reid, 37, was driving southbound on Highway 99W approaching West Ingram Island Road, near Monroe. Reid went off the roadway and crashed into a fence and then into a power pole, shearing it off. Deputies conducted a DUII investigation and arrested Reid for DUII.
DEPOSIT LIGHTED MATERIAL - On February 1, 2020, at approximately 1:45 AM, deputies were eastbound on Van Buren St near 1st Ave following a Jeep Cherokee. They observed a lit cigarette come out of the passenger-side window and embers flew off it when it hit the pavement. Deputies stopped the Jeep Cherokee for Throwing Away Burning Material. Deputies explained to the female passenger, later identified as Adrienne AVERY, 25, the reason for the stop. AVERY said she was unaware it was a crime to do so. AVERY was issued a criminal citation en lieu of custody and released.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, DUII DRUGS - On Friday, January 31, 2020, at 8:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate an impaired driver. Deputies located the vehicle on Hwy 20/Conifer Blvd in Corvallis. After conducting a DUII investigation they arrested Jamal Banjar, 38, for DUII Drugs and released him to a sober person.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On January 29, 2020, at about midnight, deputies were at the Law Enforcement Building when custodial staff located a vial of marijuana in the bathroom trash of the Parole and Probation lobby. Deputies submitted the marijuana to evidence for destruction.
BURGLARY 2, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, THEFT 2 - On Friday, January 31, 2020, at about 9:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a cold burglary on the 200 block of N. 5th Street in Monroe. They arrived and spoke with the owner who said sometime overnight someone broke into her restaurant and stole approximately $250 in cash. Deputies were unable to find any suspect information.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, January 31, 2020, at 1:10 am, deputies arrested Joseph Gregori, 31, for two warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court near Avery and Allen in Corvallis.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 30, 2020, at 11:15 PM, deputies stopped Lance Palmer, 54, on SE Bridgeway near SE 3rd Street in Corvallis, for Improper Position on a Highway. Palmer had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear on a Theft III, Bail $500. Palmer was cited and released on the warrant, due to overcrowding at the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, January 30, 2020, at about 12:50 P.M., Vehicle #1 was traveling east on Highway 34. Vehicle #1 began to negotiate curve and drove over gravel on the roadway. Vehicle #1 lost control, crossed the centerline, collided into the hillside and rolled. The driver stated she was not injured.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, January 30, 2020, deputies were patrolling Takena Landing, a park in Benton County. They contacted Brian Lee Campbell, 38, and learned he had a confirmed failure to appear Theft III warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Deputies issued Campbell a citation with a new court date.
THEFT 3 - On Wednesday,  January 29, 2020 at about 9:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a resident on Grey Creek in Philomath by telephone regarding a theft he believed to have been committed by his neighbor, Steve Fuller, 67. Fuller was cited for Theft III. The "No Trespassing" signs were recovered and returned to their owner.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On January 27, 2020, deputies responded to the 26000 block of Bellfountain Rd after a resident reported that a nearby neighbor`s property appeared to have the back window broken out. The owner stated nothing was missing from inside the house, it was just a broken window worth about $100. No suspect information.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, January 26, 2020, at approximately 11:30 pm, deputies cited and released Amber Taylor, 46, for two warrants near 3rd and Crystal lake in Corvallis.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, January 26, 2020, at approximately 9:30am, deputies stopped Rebel Tester, 32, near Crystal Lake and Vera in Corvallis and arrested him for driving while suspended misdemeanor.
DUII .08 THRU .14 - On January 25, 2020, at approximately 3:30 AM, deputies stopped Kyle BOWEN, 19, for Failure to Maintain Lane, Unsignaled Right Turn, and suspicion of DUII. BOWEN initially denied drinking alcohol. BOWEN consented to field sobriety tests and deputies arrested Kyle BOWEN for DUII. BOWEN consented to a breath test, which had a blood alcohol content of 0.11%. BOWEN was booked into the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On January 23, 2020, at about 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to Jackson Frazier Wetland for a report of illegal camping. Upon arrival, they contacted two individuals for illegal camping. Both said they were working on getting all their stuff moved out, and would try to have it done by February 3, 2020.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at about 12:35 P.M., deputies responded to the lobby of Parole and Probation for a warrant service. Khalid Collins, 22, had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for FTA DWS, 3,000 bail. Deputies walked Collins to the Benton County Jail for lodging.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On January 28, 2020, at about 8:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Alpine Road near Williams Road for a single vehicle off the roadway. Upon arrival deputies contacted the driver in a white 2012 Chrysler, off the north side of the roadway and stuck with no visible damage. He said he was driving west on Alpine Road near Williams Road, took his eyes off the roadway to look for "game" and drove off the shoulder of the roadway and got stuck.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at about 12:00 P.M., deputies arrested John David Caldwell, 26, during a traffic stop at Highway 34 near Electric Road. Dispatch confirmed John had two confirmed warrants for his arrest. Deputies transported John to the Benton County Jail where he was booked for FTA – Criminal Mischief 2 and FTA – Harassment.
ACCIDENT NO INJ - On January 27, 2020, at around 3:22 pm, deputies drove past two cars on the side of the road near the intersection of NW Lester Ave and NW Highland Drive. Driver 1 crashed a 2004 Honda CRV into the rear of a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Driver 2 was stopped on Highland due to heavy traffic from the High School letting out. Driver 1 was not paying attention and did not stop in time, hitting driver 2. Both vehicles received damage but were able to drive away from the roadway.
DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING, ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, January 26, 2020, at about 1:05 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash at NW Independence Highway and NW Palestine Road, near North Albany. Deputies arrived to find a vehicle was about 5 feet off the roadway on the north side of the intersection. The driver, Crystal Devine, 30, stated she took the right hand turn too fast while she was driving north on NW Independence Highway. The driver was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, January 27, 2020, at about 12:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 7500 NW Springhill Dr. for a report of a trespass. Deputies contacted the suspect on Springhill Dr, near milepost 2 and warned her about trespassing.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, January 27, 2020 at about 12:05 AM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 34 near milepost #3 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, RACHEL ROSEANN HISGEN, 39, had an outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court Warrant for a Probation Violation - Theft II. HISGEN was issued a citation in the field and was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On January 26, 2020, at about 3:30 PM, deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on Plymouth Drive about halfway between SW 53rd Street and Bellfountain Rd. The driver stated he was eastbound on Plymouth drive going too fast when he lost control in a curve, overcorrected, and flipped his green Mazda Miata into a ditch. Deputies observed the Miata upside down in the ditch on the south side of the road. Deputies observed no impairment. The driver stated he was going 60 around the curve, wearing a seatbelt, and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle was pulled from the ditch and towed.
DUII .15 THRU .19 - On January 26, 2020, at 2:44 AM, deputies stopped Leslie Bishop, 26, on 5th Street near Tyler Avenue in Corvallis for no license plate light. They later arrested Bishop for DUII, after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Bishop`s blood alcohol content was .19%. Bishop was cited and released to a sober person.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, January 25, 2020, at about 11:05 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, MARVIN STANLEY MILLER, 60, had an outstanding Warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court For F.T.A.- F.T.A. (Marijuana possession). MILLER was issued a citation in the field and cited and released.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On Friday, January 24, 2020, at about 7:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on Highway 20 near mile post 8. They arrived and observed a silver Subaru Forester that was driven into a tree causing significant front-end damage. There was no driver near the Subaru. Deputies contacted the registered owner who denied driving the Subaru and stated he had reported it stolen to Marion County Sheriff`s Office about 30 minutes before deputies contacted him. The Subaru was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, January 23, 2020, at approximately 4:55 P.M., Vehicle 1 was driving east on Highway 20 near milepost 45 when it struck a deer with the front passenger side of the vehicle. The deer left the area and the vehicle was towed.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On January 23, 2020, at approx 3:05 pm, Hernandez, Ezra, 18, reported to the front door of the jail stating that he missed court and had a warrant. Hernandez was released from the jail at 3:20 pm with a new court date for TA/THEFT III.
DUII - On January 22, 2020, deputies arrested HOLLY CAITLIN DALY, 23, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants after a traffic stop on SW 45th Street near Country Club Drive. Her Blood Alcohol Content was a .14%.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, January 23, at about 12:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to NE Pettibone Drive just west of Independence Highway for a report of a non-injury single vehicle, single occupant traffic crash where the driver drove off the roadway into the ditch. The said she took the left turn onto NE Pettibone Drive a little too fast, when off the roadway, overcorrected to the left, went too far that way, and overcorrected to the right, causing her to drive off the roadway.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at about 12:42 pm, deputies were dispatched to Peavy Arboretum for the report of two vehicles with broken windows.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, January 19, 2020, at about 2:55 am, deputies stopped a male walking on the wrong side of the road on Highway 20, milepost 8, near Albany. The male was eventually identified as Dustin Phares, 37, after he refused to provide information when requested for citation purposes. Dustin had three separate warrants and was subsequently arrested and transported to Linn County Jail. Warrant info: 1) OREGON STATE PAROLE BOARD CHARGE: PAROLE VIOLATION/ BURGULARY 1, NO BAIL; 2) LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT CHARGE: FTA/ ELUDE, NO BAIL; and 3) LEBANON MUNICIPAL COURT CHARGE: PROBATION VIOLATION/ CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, BAIL: $10,000.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday,  January 20, 2020, at about 1:55 AM, deputies contacted a female sleeping in a van at Ellmaker State Park, near Blodgett. The female identified herself as Sharon Wurtz, 55, and she had a Cottage Grove Municipal court warrant for Failure to Appear/ Theft 3. Sharon was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
DUII - .08 THRU .14; RECKLESS DRIVING - On January 19, 2020, at approximately 12:40AM, deputies stopped Timothy CHRISTOPHER, 53, for Failure to Maintain Lane and suspicion of DUII on Cherry Ln just off of Springhill Dr, Albany, OR. CHRISTOPHER`s speech was thick and slurred and they could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. CHRISTOPHER consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Timothy CHRISTOPHER for DUII and Reckless Driving. CHRISTOPHER was transported to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office where he consented to a breath test. CHRISTOPHER`s blood alcohol content was 0.12%. CHRISTOPHER was released to a friend.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER, FAIL TO APPEAR - On January 23, 2020 at about 7:15 pm, deputies stopped Sarah Margaret Davis, 25, for walking on the railroad tracks south of Avery Ave. in Corvallis. Davis initially identified herself as Kimberly L. Kuntz from Texas. Davis had the following confirmed warrants for her arrest: Benton County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-Theft III, $6000; Benton County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-PCS Meth, $6000; Benton County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-PCS Meth, $6000; Benton County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-PCS Heroin/Meth, $6000; Linn County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-PCS/DCS Meth, no bail; Linn County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-PCS Meth, no bail; Linn County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA-PCS Heroin/Meth, no bail; and Albany Muni Court Warrant, FTA Theft II, $6430. Deputies transported Davis to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged for the warrants. Davis was also issued a citation for False Info to Police.

ASSAULT 4 - SIMPLE ASLT DOMESTIC - On January 22, 2020, at 11:17 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of NE Elliott Circle in Corvallis for a Domestic Disturbance. Sarah Ashley Shields, 31, got into an argument over a pack of cigarettes with her brother. During the argument, Sarah threw a glass bottle of Vodka at his nose, causing a physical injury. Sarah was arrested for Assault IV and lodged at the Benton County Jail
WARRANT ARREST - ON 1/22/20, SKAGGS, CHRISTOPHER TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST FOR THE FOLLOWING CONFIRMED BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANTS: FTA TAKING ANGLING, BAIL $3K; FTA CHILD NEGLECT X2, RECKLESS ENDANGERING X2; FTA TAKING ANGLING X3, REMOVAL OF WILDLIFE, WILDLIFE VIOL, TRESP. SKAGGS WAS ISSUED AN NEW COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST -  ON 1/21/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 2:40 PM, CISNEROS, LECIL, 24, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET FOR A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA BURG 2, NO BAIL. CISNEROS WAS ISSUED A NEW COURT DATE.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, January 20, 2020, at 12:01 a.m., deputies responded to the 2400 block of SW 45th St, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon, in regards to a prowler complaint. The person reporting stated she saw a male subject with a flashlight, looking into her vehicle in her driveway. Deputies were unable to locate anybody in the area.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, January 19, 2020, at about 11:10 AM, deputies were traveling on south 3rd street in Corvallis when they observed a 1993 Ford Ranger with a broken tail light. They initiated a traffic stop on the Ford and learned the driver, Stuart Douglas Crane, 25, had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Fail to Appear on a DUII. Crane also had a suspended driver’s license. Crane was issued a criminal citation for the warrant and driving while suspended-Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at approximately 8:00 P.M., deputies arrested Scott McElroy, 52, on the 26000 block of Alsea Deadwood Highway on a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear-Theft II. Deputies cited and released Scott for the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 22, 2020, at about 2:30 PM, deputies responded to the Parole and Probation Office where Bruce Gomez, 41, had come to turn himself in. Deputies confirmed the warrant and walked Bruce to the jail where he was booked and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at about 1:40 P.M., deputies observed Albert Nollen, 45, walking out of the wooded area outside of the Safe Camp on the 4500 block of SW West Hills Rd. Nollen was later arrested and transported to the Linn County Jail for his Linn County Circuit Court warrant. Nollen was cited for three other warrants.
BURGLARY 1, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM, WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at about 7:45 A.M., deputies arrested John David Caldwell, 26, and Jennifer Nicole Grimm, 34, for Criminal Mischief and Burglary at the Salmonberry campground in Alsea. John and Jennifer were living in a yurt that was broken into by cutting the wall next to the door. John had multiple confirmed warrants out of the Benton County Circuit Court: FTA - PCS Meth, $3,000 Bail; FTA - PCS Meth, $3,000 Bail; and FTA - Contempt, $3,000 Bail. John was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released. Jennifer was cited and told to clean up the yurt and leave.
RECKLESS DRIVING, ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, January 13, 2020, at about 2:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to an injury crash on Highway 20 near Independence Highway. Robert Griffing, 26, was traveling west on Highway 20 in his 1999 Volkswagen Beetle and rear-ended a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. The Hyundai was forced into oncoming traffic and crashed into a 2018 Ford F150, traveling east. Griffing was cited for Reckless Driving x5 and numerous traffic violations. All vehicles were towed from the scene.
THEFT OF SERVICES, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at about 11:40 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 4200 block of SW 3rd St, Corvallis, for a trespass. They arrived and cited Monty Cortright, 35, for Criminal Trespass II and Theft of Services for going onto the property, walking to the backside of the residence and charging his cellular phone.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 1/21/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 9:50 AM, LYMAN, DAWN DENNICE, 44, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE JAIL LOBBY BECAUSE SHE HAD MISSED COURT. SHE HAD A CONFRIMED WARRANT FOR FTA DCS METH, BAIL $10,000.00. LYMAN WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
BURGLARY 2, THEFT 3 - On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at about 10 A.M. deputies responded to the 100 block of Country Club Lane in Albany for a burglary. At 12:58 A.M., someone attempted to break into two sheds and tripped the alarm. The only item taken was a black garbage bag of cans. There is no suspect information at this time.
DUII .08 THRU .14 - On Monday, January 20, 2020, around 10:20 P.M., deputies stopped a Dodge Journey on Highway 20 near milepost 47 for a traffic violation. Ryan Renner, 37, was arrested for DUII after it was determined he could not operate a vehicle safely. Renner was transported to the Philomath Police Department where he had a .012% BAC. Renner was released to his girlfriend who also picked up the Dodge.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE, POSS HEROIN, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, POSS BURGLARS TOOLS, FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT, INTERCEPTION OF COMMUNICATION - On January 20, 2020, at about 1:30 a.m., deputies stopped a red Ford Escort near SW Country Club and SW 49th Street in Corvallis for an Unlawful or Unsignaled Turn. The driver identified himself by a name they knew to be false. Deputies confirmed his use of a false identity and properly identified him as Neil David Van Epps, 31. Deputies arrested Van Epps for a confirmed Benton County Warrant (FTA- PCS Meth), Linn County Warrants (PV- PCS Heroin and PV Carrying a Concealed Weapon), Lebanon Municipal Court Warrant (Theft III), PCS- Methamphetamine (Felony), PCS- Heroin (Felony), Providing False Information to a Peace Officer, Possession of Burglary Tools and Interception of Communications. He was transported to Linn County Jail.
RESISTING ARREST, ELUDE VEHICLE, FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE, FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE, ESCAPE 3, INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - On Sunday, January 19, 2020, around 9:30 P.M., deputies stopped a Ford Expedition on Philomath Boulevard near Western Boulevard for a traffic violation. The driver, Jason Montgomery, 35, had a warrant. He sped away in the Ford while deputies tried to take him into custody. He stopped around 1000 feet east of the original stop location. Montgomery was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for Elude in a Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, Escape III, Interfering with a Peace Office, a Lincoln County warrant for Burglary I and a Yerington County Nevada warrant for carrying a concealed weapon.
UUV - On Saturday, January 18, 2020, deputies were dispatched to an unlawful use of a motor vehicle on the 600 block of South 19th Street in Philomath. A man said a van was taken from behind his shop. Deputies met with the registered owner of the van who told deputies she did not want to pursue charges.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, January 17, 2020, at about 8:55 am, deputies were dispatched to a possible hit and run crash on Highway 20 and NE Circle BLVD. There was no damage to either vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, January 17, 2020, at about 6:43am, deputies were dispatched to multiple vehicles in the ditch on Bellfoutain Road near milepost 4. Upon arrival, there were three separate single vehicle crashes. Deputies spoke with the driver for this crash. The driver was headed north on Bellfountain Rd. The driver lost control of his vehicle due to ice on the roadway. The vehicle did not collide with any other vehicles. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch, on the southbound shoulder. There did not appear to be any damage to the vehicle. The driver drove the vehicle away.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER, INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER, ELUDE VEHICLE, FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE, WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, January 16, 2020, at approximately 7:45 P.M., deputies were on Highway 20 near Granger Avenue assisting at a traffic crash by directing traffic. While directing traffic a vehicle refused to stop when signaled to stop and nearly struck a deputy. Deputies stopped the vehicle on Highway 20 near Independence Highway. When they attempted to write a citation to the driver, the vehicle drove away and refused to stop. The vehicle eventually stopped at the entrance to Takena Landing where deputies arrested the driver, Steven Joseph Perkins, 39, for Attempt to Elude, Giving False Info, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Reckless Endangering, and Failure to Carry and Present a Driver`s License. Deputies cited Perkins for Careless Driving, Driving while Suspended-violation, Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device, and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. Perkins also had confirmed warrants out of Marion County and Benton County Circuit Courts.
ASSAULT 2, UNLAW USE OF WEAPON, MENACING - On Thursday, January 16, 2020, at about 11:31 am, deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of SW 53rd Street for the report of an assault. Nicholas Davila, 29, was later arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On January 14, 2020, at around 7 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Independence Highway near NW Palestine Avenue. The driver was driving to work in Monmouth and lost control of his 2008 Dodge Avenger due to ice on the roadway. He slid into the ditch landing on the passenger side of the vehicle. There were many other wrecks in the area due to Ice. A tow company was able to recover the vehicle later in the morning after the ice melted.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at about 1:35 AM, deputies saw a red, Ford sedan parked in Hyak Park, off Highway 20, near Corvallis and contacted Patrick Logan, 45, who was sleeping in his car. Patrick was issued a criminal citation for Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine and Criminal Trespass II.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Sunday, January 19, 2020, at about 1:45 P.M., deputies arrived on the 3400 block of NW Scenic Dr. for a criminal mischief. The resident has a painting on the corner of his property facing Scenic Dr. Sometime between 7:00 P.M. on January 18 and this morning at 10:00 A.M., someone had vandalized the painting. That morning the original artist covered up the damage to the painting and the resident plans to install a camera near the painting.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, January 19, 2020, at about 12:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash at Highway 20 approximately milepost 49. They arrived and observed a Black Toyota Tundra parked on the side of the road. The driver said he accidently drove into a ditch on the north side of Highway 20. He said he would have someone tow the vehicle for him. There was no property damage.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at about 10:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run on Marys Peak Road, near Alsea. They spoke to the driver who said his 2004 Ford Explorer had his passenger taillight broken while driving up Marys Peak Road. He said he did not wish to be a victim and merely wanted to report the incident to have it on record.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at about 5:10 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 15th St. off Philomath Blvd. for a traffic violation. The passenger refused to identify himself, but I was able to confirm his identity through the computer as JOSEPH GOMEZ, 39. Dispatch advised GOMEZ had four outstanding Warrants: Two Oregon State Parole Violations, one Benton County Circuit Court, and one from Albany Municipal Court. GOMEZ was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at about 2:05 P.M., deputies Nathan Andrew Keen, 34, on the 2600 block of NW Highland Drive. Keen had six confirmed failure to appear warrants. Keen was arrested for the warrants and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, January 17th, 2020, at about 10:15 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on the Highway 34 Bypass for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised one of the passengers, MICHAEL JOSEPH PEREZ, 28, had an outstanding a Parole Violation Warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board. PEREZ was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
WARRANT ARREST -  On Friday, January 17th, 2020, at about 10:20 PM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, TINA MARIE LEWIS, 52, had an outstanding Warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for DUII/Recklessly Endangering. Deputies issued LEWIS a citation and she was cited and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, January 17, 2020, at approximately 4:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Parole and Probation for someone with a warrant. They spoke with a PO and learned Randy Scott Ross, 30, who was in his office, had an Albany Municipal Court Warrant for FTA: Contempt of Court. Deputies cited and released Ross for the confirmed warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ -  On Friday, January 17, 2020, at about 7:00 A.M., deputies responded to a non-injury crash near the 6300 block of Plymouth Drive. They arrived and observed a Black Toyota was in a ditch on the north side of Plymouth Drive. The driver said she was negotiating a curve on Plymouth when her vehicle slid on black ice and went into the ditch. Deputies observed several mailboxes that were destroyed by the vehicle. Deputies spoke to the owner of the mailboxes and assisted with the information exchange.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ -  On January 16, 2020, at about 7:20 pm, Vehicle #1 was driving westbound on Highway 20 towards Corvallis at approximately 55 mph. A car in front of Vehicle #1 moved into the right turn lane preparing to turn right onto NE Granger Avenue. Vehicle #1 continued straight/westbound when Vehicle #2 pulled out in front of vehicle #1 making a left hand turn from NE Granger Avenue. Driver in Vehicle #2 said she was going to turn left and drive eastbound onto Highway 20, but never saw vehicle #1. Both drivers said they were not injured and declined medics.
THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING -  On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at about 11:39 am, deputies were dispatched to an Adair business for a theft report. They spoke with an employee who stated someone stole the "Open" sign from the store. The sign was valued at $200.00 dollars.
MAIL THEFT, POSS HEROIN (FELONY), PROPERTY RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY, WARRANT ARREST -  On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at approximately 1:26 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 248 Azalea Drive, Adair for report of a suspicious vehicle. The person reporting stated there was a "smaller u-haul" truck driving through neighborhoods with someone running ahead of the truck opening mailboxes. Deputies located the truck and arrested the driver, TYLER MATHEW FLORES, 27, as well as the passenger, LUCAN HARGRAVES, 21, for active warrants. Deputies also charged TYLER with Mail Theft and PCS Heroin and charged LUCAN with Mail Theft. Deputies transported TYLER and LUCAN to the Benton County Jail where they were lodged on their charges and warrants.
1/17/20 - FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT.  On Thursday, January 16, 2020 at approximately 2:47 PM, deputies contacted KATIE WAMSLEY, 23, at an illegal campsite by the railroad tracks on the east side of Pioneer Park in Corvallis. Deputies arrested WAMSLEY on seven confirmed felony and misdemeanor warrants: 1) Benton County Circuit Court, FTA Burglary II / FTA Theft II, No Bail / No Matrix; 2) Benton County Circuit Court, FTA PCS Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor), $3,000 Bail; 3) Benton County Circuit Court, FTA Theft II / FTA Criminal Citation, $3,000 Bail; 4) Linn County Circuit Court, FTA Forgery I, No Bail; 5) Linn County Circuit Court, FTA PCS Methamphetamine (X2), No Bail; 6) Linn County Circuit Court, FTA PCS Methamphetamine, No Bail; 7) Albany Municipal Court, FTC Contempt of Court, No Bail. WAMSELY was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
1/17/20 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 16, 2020, at around 3:35 p.m., deputies contacted Garrett Wayne CASPINO, 27, near 1300 SW Philomath Blvd. CASPINO was later arrested, transported and lodged for a Benton County Community Corrections warrant for probation violation.
1/17/20 - FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - DIS CONDUCT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, January 16, 2020, at about 1:25 P.M., deputies arrested Jeramiah Luis Jones, 30, for Interfering with a peace officer, Trespass II, Felon in possession of restricted weapon and multiple confirmed warrants. Jones was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
1/17/20 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 16, 2020, at about 6:46 pm, deputies stopped Trevor Clayton Clark, 32, on Highway 34 near the Bypass for driving without headlights. Clark was DWS-Violation and had a confirmed cite and release Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for a Parole Violation, $10000 bail. Deputies issued Clark a citation for DWS-Violation. Clark`s backseat passenger was identified as Robert James Larsen, 25. Larsen had a confirmed no bail Linn County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-DUII. Deputies arrested Larsen and transported him to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
1/17/20 - FAIL TO APPEAR ON ORDINANCE VIOLATION.  On January 16, 2020, at around 3:45 p.m., deputies contacted Karly Ann TARVIN, 24, near 1300 SW Philomath Blvd. TARVIN was later arrested, cited and released for a Corvallis Municipal Court warrant for FTA illegal camping.
1/17/20 – WARRANT ARREST.  On January 16, 2020, at 12:03 AM, deputies observed a vehicle parked in Avery Park after hours. A male standing near the vehicle took off running as they pulled into the park. The male was identified as James Ryan Nunn, 34. Nunn had a confirmed Felony Warrant for FTA Possession of Methamphetamine. Nunn surrendered as deputies caught up to him and was taken into custody without incident. Nunn was lodged at the Benton County Jail on the warrant.
1/17/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY.  On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at about 7:38 am, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on NW Independence Highway near milepost one. The driver was traveling north on NW Independence Highway when he lost control of his vehicle, due to icy conditions. The vehicle came to rest in the southbound ditch. The front passenger received a small laceration on the back of her head.
1/17/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at approximately 1:41 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of SW Airport Avenue and Peterson Road for report of a single vehicle crash into a ditch. They arrived and learned the vehicle had swerved to avoid hitting a deer and drove into a ditch causing damage, which required the vehicle to be towed.
1/17/20 - FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT.  On Wed., Jan. 15, 2020, at approximately 1600, Noah Glenn Burke, 20, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court. Three valid warrants were confirmed and served for: FTA - DCS MDMA X2, Resisting Arrest Assault IV X2, Unlaw Poss Firearm, bail $20,000; FTA - Resisting Arrest, PCS MDMA, Tampering w/ Evidence, Fail Carry/Pres, bail $3,000; and FTA - Wildlife Violation, Trespass w/ Firearm, bail $3,000. Mr. Bruke was force release due to crowding. A release agreement was signed and forwarded to the Benton County Circuit Court with a new court date.
1/17/20 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 14, 2020, at about 7:00 PM, Terry Pacheco, 60, came to the law enforcement center to turn himself in on a warrant. Deputies confirmed the parole board warrant and walked him to the jail. Case cleared by arrest. Warrant information: Parole violation - Oregon State Parole Board, no bail.
1/17/20 - FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT.  On Tues, Jan. 14, 2020, at approximately 1600, Brady James Maynard, 20, turned himself into the Benton County Jail and indicated he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court. A valid warrant was confirmed and served for FTA - Theft III, Bail $3,500. Maynard was released after having signed an agreement to appear at court on a later date.
1/17/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at about 8:15 am, deputies were headed south on NW Independence Highway and came across a vehicle off the roadway. They contacted the driver who said she slid off the roadway due to the icy conditions. The damage to her vehicle appeared to be very minimal and the vehicle was drivable. The driver said she was not injured.
1/15/20 - ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ.  On January 14, 2020, at about 8:15 a.m., deputies responded to a reported crash with no injuries at Highway 99 near Milepost 97. By the time deputies arrived, Monroe Fire had released the driver, who was uninjured, the vehicle was off the roadway and a tow company was enroute. Deputies moved on to the next crash of many reported during icy conditions.
1/15/20 - ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ.  On January 14, 2020, at about 8:00 a.m., deputies responded to a crash reported at Beaver Creek Road and Decker Road. The driver was uninjured, the car was out of the roadway, a tow truck was already on the way and there were multiple crashes with injuries pending in the area. Philomath Fire volunteered to stay with the car owner.
1/15/20 - BURGLARY 1 – RESIDENCE; THEFT 1 - FROM BUILDING.  On January 14, 2020, at about 7:00 PM, deputies responded to the 5500 block of Plymouth Drive for the report of a burglary.
1/15/20 – WARRANT ARREST.  ON 1/23/20, FREDERICK, ALEX, 24, TURNED SELF INTO LOBBY. MISSED COURT DATE FOR DUII. WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT DATE AND RELEASED.
1/15/20 – UUV; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; WARRANT ARREST.  On Monday, January 13, 2020 at about 3:33 PM, deputies located a stolen Dodge Ram truck driving eastbound on Highway 20 near Garland Nursery. Cody Lee Busch, 24, was driving the stolen truck. Busch attempted to elude deputies and crashed the stolen Dodge truck near milepost 5 on Highway 20. Busch also hit a Chevrolet truck before crashing into the ditch. Cody Busch was taken into custody after he attempted to run from the crashed Dodge truck. Busch was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
1/15/20 - WARRANT ARREST. ON 1/13/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 3:20PM, DRINKARD, PATRICK, 29, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET BECAUSE HE HAD A WARRANT. DEPUTIES LOCATED A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, BAIL $3000. DRINKARD WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
1/15/20 - FAIL TO APPEAR 2.  On January 13, 2020, at around 12:48 pm, deputies were dispatched to Monroe for a suspicious activity. Staff at Monroe City Hall observed a man pull up in a car and place an unknown item in a storage building on their property. The man drove off and was later seen in his vehicle stuck in a ditch on 6th Street near Orchard Street. Deputies contacted Wayne Exline, 41, was cited and released for a confirmed fail to appear warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Criminal Mischief 3.
1/15/20 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 1/13/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 10:21 AM, CERVANTES-MIRANDA, JUAN, 20, HAD A CONFIRMED WARRANT OUT OF MARION COUNTY FOR PV-RIOT, NO BAIL. HE WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
1/15/20 - PROBATION VIOLATION.  On Monday, January 13, 2020, at about 8:40 am, deputies were dispatched to Benton County Parole and Probation for a warrant service. They arrived and later arrested Justin Curtis Gilmore, 33, on a confirmed warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court, for Probation Violation - PCS Methamphetamine. Gilmore was issued a criminal citation and released.
1/15/20 - VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER.  On January 10, 2020, deputies received a request from the Eugene Police Department to attempt to locate Chad Spenser Roose, 46, as they had probable cause to arrest him for Violating a Restraining Order. On January 12, 2020, deputies located Roose on the 1800 block of SW Allen St and transported him to Lane County Jail and released him to Eugene Police.
1/15/20 - THEFT 1; IDENTITY THEFT.  On January 11, 2020, deputies spoke with a resident by telephone who reported her purse was stolen and her debit card was used several times by Jennifer Grimm, 34, in Newport. Jennifer used the debit card and the complainant’s Driver License to rent a hotel room in Newport. Jennifer also ordered over 800 dollars of goods online with her debit card. Jennifer was arrested on the evening of 1/11/2020 in Linn County by Corvallis Police in a stolen U-Haul van. Deputies contacted Jennifer at the Benton County Jail and issued her a citation for the crimes of Theft 1 and Identity Theft.
1/15/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ. On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at around 3:05 PM, Vehicle 1 was backing out on the Lewisburg side of the County Limits Store when it ran into the side of Vehicle 2, causing damage. The drivers worked out a civil compromise. The damage did not appear to be more than $2500. The driver of vehicle 1 did not have auto insurance; deputies issued him a citation for Driving Uninsured.
1/14/20 - THEFT 3; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On Monday, January 13, 2020 at about 9:00 A.M., deputies spoke with a resident on the 25000 block of Llewellyn Rd by telephone regarding a theft. She stated on Thursday January 9, someone had stolen her large Republic Services recycling container. She called her trash company and they notified her they did not take the container and a new container would cost her $75 to replace. She was provided a case number for the trash company.
1/14/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Saturday, January 11th, 2020, at 6:13 p.m., deputies responded to Hwy 20 / MP 35, Blodgett, Benton County, Oregon regarding a two vehicle crash. Veh #1, a blue 2018 Chevrolet Impala, was traveling west bound on Hwy 20 at a stated speed of 55 MPH. Veh #2, a silver 2005 Nissan Murano, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 20 at a stated 55 MPH. It was raining heavily, and it was dark outside. At the same time, Veh #1 and Veh #2 negotiated a northern curve in the highway. Veh #1 crossed over the center double yellow line, far enough to cause Veh #2 to swerve right, to the guardrail. Veh #2 could not move over far enough to avoid getting side swiped by Veh #1. Both vehicles had excessive damage and were towed from the scene. The driver of Veh #1 had complaint of soreness from the seatbelt. All parties denied medical attention.
1/14/20 - POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (FELONY); FAIL RETURN SUSP DL.  On Saturday, January 11, 2019, at approximately 3:15am, deputies arrested Nicholas Adam, 39, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and failure to return a suspended driver`s license near 3rd and Lilly in Corvallis.
1/14/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY.  On Friday, January 10, 2020, at approximately 3:30 P.M., Vehicle 1 was driving east on Summit Highway near milepost 17. The driver stated she was driving at approximately 40 miles per hour; however, the speedometer read 70 miles per hour. The vehicle was attempting to negotiate a curve that had a sign indicating 25 miles per hour for the corner. Vehicle 1 left the roadway causing it to crash into a tree. The passenger was injured. The driver was cited for Careless Driving for her speed on a wet road, in curves, after knowing the tires may not be good.
1/14/20 - THEFT 2 - SERVICES SERVICES.  On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at about 1:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a cold theft on the 2100 block of East Main Street in Monroe. They spoke to the complainant on the telephone who reported John David Caldwell, 26, and Jennifer Grimm, 34, stole $100.00 worth of gas to fill up their moving vehicle. He sent deputies a picture from his security camera.
1/14/20 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On January 9, 2020, at about 12:15 p.m., deputies responded to Jackson Frazier Wetland for a report of illegal camping, trespass and offensive littering. They spoke with a Benton County Parks employee who explained the illegal camps are at the NW corner of the park, and can be accessed from Highway 99W north of Elks Drive, across the railroad tracks, and through the private farm field, which is where the suspects access the camps from. Deputies warned the illegal campers and told them to have everything picked up and be moved out by January 13, 2020.
1/14/20 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 – VANDALISM; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On January 9, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Kouns Dr, Albany, OR for a vehicle stuck in a field. The driver had gotten his vehicle stuck in a grass field. The property owner declined to have the driver charged with Trespass and Criminal Mischief charges.
1/14/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at about 7:05 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 20 near milepost 35. Vehicle 1 was traveling west on Highway 20 near milepost 35 in his 2019 Toyota Tacoma and came across a downed tree in the middle of the road. The driver was unable to stop and ran over the tree causing him to swerve off the road and hit a mailbox and hit another tree with the front of his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. The mailbox owner was notified.
1/14/20 – DUII.  On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at approximately 8:30 P.M., vehicle 1, driven by Chelsea Leigh Vasche, 32, was driving north on Independence Highway near Metge Avenue. Vehicle 1 left the roadway and rolled on the east side of the road. Vasche was cited for DUII at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
1/14/20 - DUII - .15 THRU .19.  On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at around 7:30, deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 99W near MP100. Jenna Van Beek, 25, was driving northbound and went off the roadway into a field. Deputies conducted a DUII investigation and arrested Van Beek for DUII. Deputies then transported Van Beek to the Sheriff`s Office where she supplied a breath sample that showed her BAC was .18%. Van Beek was issued a citation for DUII and released her to a sober family member.
1/14/20 - BURGLARY 2 - OTHER STRUCTURE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 – VANDALISM; THEFT 3 - FROM BUILDING. On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at approximately 6:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to speak with a man regarding a possible burglary at his property on the 1800 block of Southwest Allen Street. He said he is moving out of the property and had returned home and saw that someone pried open the hasp on his shop. He found out that his Husky Mechanics tool set was stolen from the shop. The set was valued at 99.00 dollars.
1/14/20 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at about 12:30 P.M., deputies assisted with a move-out order on the 200 block of NW 32nd St. Stephen Griffin, 37, arrived to the residence and had three confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court. The warrants were for Failure to Appear - Possession of Restricted Weapon by a Felon x2 and Failure to Appear - Fail to Present. Griffin was cited for his warrants.
1/14/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Monday, January 7, 2020, around 10:15 P.M., deputies arrived on Marys Peak Road near milepost 5 for a single vehicle traffic crash. Vehicle #1 was traveling west on Marys Peak Road negotiating a left hand curve. The driver said a vehicle traveling east had the high beams on which caused him not to see the roadway well. Vehicle #1 had the passenger tires go onto the side of the roadway in mud causing the vehicle to go sideways. Vehicle #1 hit a tree on the passenger side then hit a tree head-on. The driver and his four passengers were not injured.
1/14/20 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Sunday, January 5th, 2020, at 4:01 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Granger Ave and NE Hwy 20, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon for a two vehicle crash. Vehicle #1, a tan 2009 Toyota Camry, was stopped on Granger Ave at the stop sign waiting to turn eastbound on Hwy 20. Vehicle #2, a white 2012 Ford Focus, was traveling westbound on Hwy 20, approaching Granger Ave. Veh #1 proceeded forward to turn left and struck Veh #2 on the right rear wheel, causing Veh #2 to spin 180 degrees and come to a rest. Occupants of Veh #1 were not injured. Occupants in Veh #2 had complaint of pain, but refused transport to the hospital. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
1/14/20 - POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (MISD).  On January 5, 2020, at 12:26 AM, deputies stopped Joel Swenson, 34, on Hazel Glenn Road near Alsea Deadwood Highway in Alsea. Deputies had probable cause to arrest Swenson for Menacing. They took Swenson into custody and located Methamphetamine on his person. Swenson was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged there for Menacing under and cited for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
1/14/20 - DUII - .08 THRU .14; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Sunday, January 5, 2020, at about 2:00 AM, deputies were on routine patrol in the area of SE 3rd Street and SW Prairie Avenue, in Corvallis. They were parked on the east side of SE 3rd Street facing west in a marked patrol car when they saw a green Subaru Outback traveling south on SE 3rd Street and initiated a traffic stop for an illegal U-Turn. William Guy Pate, 26, was arrested for DUII and reckless driving. William`s breath sample was a 0.12% BAC.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, December 28, 2019, at about 1:30 AM, deputies were on routine patrol in Takena Landing Park when they saw a male walking in the park. They spoke to Matthew Nill, 36, who they informed was trespassing. Nill was arrested for a warrant through Linn County for Failure to Appear- PCS Meth. Nill was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
12/30/19 - FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT.  On December 27, 2019, at 8:13 P.M., deputies stopped Marwan Ahmed ALZABIDI, 23, for failure to drive within his lane at NE Conifer Blvd and NE Cambridge Cir. ALZABIDI was later arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail for a confirmed warrant.
12/30/19 - THEFT 2 - FROM BUILDING.  On Friday, December 27th, 2019, at 4:28 p.m., deputies contacted a resident via telephone on the 26000 block of Foster Rd, Monroe, Benton County, Oregon. He reported within the last 7 to 8 days his Samsung Note 8 cell phone was taken from either his bedroom or living room. He valued the cell phone at $995.00.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ. On Thursday, December 26, 2019, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury crash at Highway 99W at about milepost 99. They arrived and observed a silver Buick in the ditch on the west side of the road. The driver stated he was traveling northbound and drove the Buick into the ditch because he was not paying attention. The Buick was damaged, but it did not exceed $2,500.00. He said he was uninjured and he needed help getting the Buick out of the ditch. A tow company was dispatched to tow the Buick. Deputies cleared the scene and gave the driver a courtesy ride to his residence.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On December 25, 2019, at about 8:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle in a ditch at the intersection of 53rd and Nash Ave. The driver attempted to turn around in the intersection and dropped his front passenger tire off the asphalt. He arranged for his own tow company to pull the vehicle back onto the road. No damage to vehicle or property.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On December 25, 2019 at about 4:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Fort Hoskins Rd near Luckiamute Rd. Unit 1 was driving down Fort Hoskins Rd when he slid into the west ditch and got stuck. The driver left prior to deputies’ arrival. They contacted the driver later that evening; he was uninjured and no damage was observed on the vehicle. He stated he would pull the truck out of the ditch in the morning.
12/30/19 - DUII - .08 THRU .14; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On December 21, 2019 at approximately 11:35PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Independence Hwy and Ryals Ave for a crash. Unit 1 had driven into the ditch. The driver was slurring his words when he spoke. He had bloodshot eyes and droopy eyelids. He consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Joshua WARD for DUII and Reckless Driving. WARD consented to a breath test. WARD`s blood alcohol content was 0.09%. WARD was released to a sober family member.
12/30/19 - HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT.  On Sunday, December 15, 2019, at about 3:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of NW Lewisburg Ave. for an argument. Deputies arrested Kyle Leber, 23, for harassment and transported him to the Benton County Jail for lodging.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On December 14, 2019, at about 11:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to a crash at Powers Ave and Oak Grove Road where they located a red 2001 Ford Explorer crashed into a fence and power pole. The driver had been transported to Albany ER where he was interviewed. The property owners were contacted, PPL responded to assess the damage and the vehicle was towed.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY.  On December 11, 2019, at about 6:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to SW Airport Avenue about milepost 2 for a two vehicle traffic crash. Unit 1 crashed into Unit 2 when she was either turning left or making a U-turn to the left depending on who you spoke with. Two residents mailboxes were damaged from the crash, and the driver of Unit 2 reported complaint of pain to her chest and side area from the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
12/30/19 - BURGLARY 1.  On December 24, 2019, deputies contacted a resident at the lobby of the Sheriff`s Office who came to the office to report a burglary that occurred at his house on 12/23/19. He lives on the 1600 block of NW Lewisburg Drive in Corvallis. Someone forced open his garage door then entered his house through an unlocked entry door. His wife found that her wedding band ring and a set of older hearing aids were taken during the burglary. He has no suspect information at this time.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, around 1:35 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at 8th Street and Applegate Street for a traffic violation. They arrested William Spann, 49, on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant. He was issued a criminal citation and released. Deputies also arrested Amy Koplin, 35, on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant. Koplin was issued a criminal citation and released.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, around 12:10 A.M., deputies arrested John David Caldwell, 26, in a parking lot on the 2700 block of SW 53rd Street, on a confirmed Benton County Circuit court warrant for Failure to Appear- Harassment. Caldwell was issued a criminal citation and released.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, December 22, 2019, around 11:45 P.M., deputies arrested Jack Marion Matheny, 33, on three Polk County Circuit Court warrants on Highway 20 near milepost 39. Matheny was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
12/30/19 - THEFT 2 - FROM VEHICLE.  On Sunday, December 22, 2019, at around 8:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident by phone about someone stealing his fishing gear out of the back of a vehicle he was in at the Alsea Fish Hatchery earlier that day. He said it was a brown backpack with 2 clear plastic containers inside with salmon/steelhead fishing gear inside worth around $800.00 in total. The gear was under an unlocked tonneau cover in the parking lot. There is no suspect information at this time.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, December 20, 2019, at approximately 11pm, deputies arrested Bobby Loftis, 45, for numerous warrants on the 100 block of E Fall Creek Road in Alsea. Deputies transported him to jail without incident.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, December 20, 2019, at about 3:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Benton County Parole and Probation for a warrant service. They arrived and spoke with a Probation Deputy, who advised his client, Joseph Lee Shores, 47, had two warrants. Deputies confirmed the warrants and walked Shores to the jail where he was later released.
12/30/19 - POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; DUII – DRUGS; WARRANT ARREST.  On December 20, 2019, at about 2:20 PM, deputies stopped Rebel Tester, 32, on SW 3rd Street near SW Twin Oaks in Corvallis for Failure to Signal Turn, Failure to Drive within Lane, and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. Tester was taken into custody on a Felony Probation Violation Warrant out of Benton County, Warrant. Tester was additionally charged for DUII-Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Tester refused to consent to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and Refused a Urine Tests. Tester was Driving While Suspended Violation and Driving Uninsured. Tester was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY.  On December 19, 2019, at about 3:52 pm, Unit 1 was eastbound on Coon Rd near MP 1. The driver stated she was going about 50 mph entering the curves when she began hydroplaning and lost control. Unit 1 entered the south ditch and stuck several trees. The driver sustained minor injuries to her arms. Her vehicle was towed from the scene due to damages.
12/30/19 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 – VANDALISM; DWS MIS; ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY.  On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at about 12:35 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near milepost 73 for an injury crash. Unit 1 had an apparent medical issue while traveling southbound on Highway 99W and crashed into a tree off the west side of the road causing significant damage to his vehicle, a tree and fence. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and later cited for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor, Failure to return a suspended license and Failure to install an IID.
12/30/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY.  On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at about 9:07 am, deputies dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Bellfountain Road near Chapel Drive. Unit one was traveling north on Bellfountain Road. Unit one lost control of the vehicle when sliding on ice. Unit one left the roadway on the westbound side of the roadway. Unit one went through a fence causing damage to the fencing. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by ambulance for facial injuries sustained in the crash.
12/30/19 - THEFT 1; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD – MISD.  On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at about 2:40 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident regarding a fraud. Last night she received a phone call from a man identifying himself as an amazon employee. This man told her she was charged $799 twice for two Apple iPhone on accident and in order to be reimbursed, she needed to setup Apple Pay with her debit card number. She downloaded an app, which allowed this person to mirror her screen and walk her through the process. There were multiple transactions from her savings to her checking account. Ultimately, she had $1,598 stolen from her bank account.
12/30/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at about 12:20 AM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2003 Dodge Dakota on Hwy 99W, near West Ingram Island Road for a window tint violation. They spoke to the driver, Billy Wayne Hatch JR, 42, who told them his license was suspend. Billy was arrested for his Lebanon Municipal Court warrant and was issued a citation and released.
12/30/19 - DUII - .20 OR ABOVE; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Sunday, December 15, 2019, at about 12:40 AM, deputies responded to a crash on Highway 99W near Guerber Lane, near Monroe. The driver, Joseph GOODWIN, 21, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving. GOODWIN`s breath sample resulted in a 0.24 %BAC.
12/19/19 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at approximately 3:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 6600 block of Southwest Reservoir Avenue for someone trespassing on the property. They arrived and spoke with a resident who said she saw a male in red and black flannel, walk one direction on the property, then walk to the other side at the front of the property, taking photos of the property prior to waking east on the railroad tracks. Deputies drove through the area, but could not find anyone. The resident said she wanted the person arrested if deputies found them.
12/19/19 – ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at about 7:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash near Springhill Dr. and Buena Vista. Upon arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied. Later, the vehicle owner arrived and said his stepson was driving the vehicle. He said he was traveling south on Buena Vista and due to the fog and road conditions, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the ditch. The vehicle was towed and the driver reported no injuries.
12/19/19 - POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; PARAPHERNALIA; POSS HEROIN.  On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, around 1:15 A.M., deputies stopped a silver Buick on Linden Avenue near Fairlawn Street for a traffic violation. Joshua Gilmore, 24, was arrested for PCS Heroin and Meth. Angelica Cogurik, 22, was arrested by CPD Officer Frahm on Benton County warrants.
12/19/19 - SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE.  On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at around 6:45 PM, deputies arrived to a vehicle in the ditch. The driver was attempting to turn west onto NE Conifer Blvd., from NE Conser Dr. She did not turn fast enough and drove off the roadway getting stuck in the ditch. A tow company arrived and pulled the vehicle from the ditch. She drove her vehicle from the scene.
12/19/19 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On December 17, 2019, deputies I spoke with a resident on the telephone who owns a 5 acre undeveloped parcel of land on far west corner of Water Lane near Alpine. On 12/08/19 he captured photographs of young (30`s age) couple on his property pulling a wagon possibly in route to his neighbor`s land then returning with a cut Christmas tree. He did not know the identity of the persons pulling the wagon. All but one photo was clear to make out detail. One was a dark haired female wearing jeans and a gray coat. He wanted to report the incident as a trespass.
12/19/19 - DUII – DRUGS.  On December 15, 2019, at 3:35 AM, deputies stopped Anthony Owen, 30, on 5th Street near Harrison Boulevard in Corvallis for no plate light and later arrested Owen for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Owen was evaluated by a Certified Drug Recognition Expert and consented to a urine test. Owen was cited and released to a sober person at his residence.
12/19/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On December 3, 2019, at around 06:27 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Maxfield Creek Road near the Polk County Line. Deputies found a 2005 Toyota Tacoma pick up that appeared to have slid off the roadway and into the shoulder. No one was around the pickup. The owner never contacted the Sheriff`s Office.
12/19/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On November 20, 2019, at around 01:44 am, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on the 1600 block of NW Lewisburg Drive in Corvallis. The driver did not stop at the intersection of NW Lewisburg Avenue and NW Crescent Valley Drive. She crashed into the front yard of the property striking a tree damaging her 2000 BMW 323i car. She was not injured. Her parents arrived later and removed the damaged car with personal vehicles.
12/18/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On December 15, 2019, at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a pick-up truck on Highway 34 near milepost 3 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, RICKY LEE BIAS, 54, had an outstanding Warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for Probation Violation - P.C.S. II (Methamphetamine). At the request of the Linn County Jail, BIAS was cited and released in the field.
12/18/19 - THEFT 2.  On Saturday, December 7, 2019, at around 6:00 PM, deputies spoke with a man by phone because he was in Eugene, about a tailgate from his 2005 Dodge Pickup that has been stolen while parked on his property in Monroe. He remembered seeing it a few weeks before this, but the pickup is parked behind his barn. He went to use it this day and noticed the tailgate was missing. He did not have any suspect information.
12/17/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Monday, December 16, 2019, at about 8:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Steele Ave. for a crash. Driver 1 was following too closely in her 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and rear-ended driver 2, who was operating a 2005 Dodge Neon, which sustained moderate rear-end damage. No injuries reported. Neither vehicle towed.
12/17/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, December 15, 2019, at about 12:50 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near Alpine Cutoff Road for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, BRIAN CHRISTOPHER STEWART, 18, had an outstanding Linn County Circuit Court Warrant for Larceny/Theft I. STEWART was issued a citation in the field and released.
12/17/19 - FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER.  On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at about 9:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Territorial Hwy at milepost 1, Monroe. The passenger, CHRISTOPHER DALE WOLF, 38, was arrested for failing to Register as a Sex Offender. WOLF was cited and released in the field.
12/17/19 - DUII - .08 THRU .14.  On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at approximately 2am, deputies arrested Chevy Snyder, 25, for driving under the influence near SE 7th Avenue and Madison Street in Linn County, Albany.
12/17/19 - MINOR IN POSS OF LIQUOR; FURNISH LIQUOR MINOR/INTOX PERSON – FURNISH.  On December 13, 2019, at 10:11 PM, deputies responded to the 2300 block of NW Beaumont Lane in Albany for a MIP Party. Upon arrival, deputies stopped a vehicle leaving the residence. The driver was arrested for DUII. The front seat passenger, Mara Adams, 19, was cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Deputies then contacted the people responsible for the party, who admitted minors were consuming alcohol at the party. Dylan Thomas Robison, 20, Acacia McGinty, 20, and Tabitha Sanders, 19, were all cited for Furnishing Alcohol to Minors.
12/17/19 - RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII – UNDETERMINED.  On Friday, December 13, 2019, at approximately 11:30pm, deputies stopped Alex Sherrod, 20, near NW Springhill and NW Beaumont. Deputies arrested Sherrod for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless endangering.
12/17/19 - PROBATION VIOLATION.  On Friday, December 13, 2019, at about 7:15 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near the Lane County line (milepost #107) for a traffic violation. The driver, RICHARD ALLEN GOODEVE, 54, was arrested at the request of Lane County Parole and Probation and transported to the Lane County Jail where he was lodged.
12/17/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ. On Friday, December 13, 2019, at about 7:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a non-injury crash at Highway 99W about milepost 98. They arrived and observed a red 2005 Honda Civic with heavy rear end damage. The driver stated a white 2019 Jeep Compass with a temporary tag rear-ended her. The driver of the Compass and the complainant exchanged information. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
12/17/19 - THEFT 3.  On Thursday, December 12, 2019, at 8:06 p.m., deputies contacted an Adair Village resident via telephone. The resident reported she had a strand of Christmas lights stolen from her fence. This took place sometime between 6:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. on this day. Unknown suspect.
12/17/19 - INFO-SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE.  On Thursday, December 12, 2019, at about 11:00 A.M., deputies I spoke with a resident on the 3900 block of NW Alder Ave, Albany.  She saw a female driving a black Honda with a California license plate get out and walk up to houses with packages in her hands. She stated it looked odd, and the female would carry packages up to a residence, but also carry packages back to her car. The resident checked her neighbor`s house and saw they had a package still on their front porch. The vehicle was gone before deputies arrived.
12/17/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  Vehicle #1 was driving eastbound on Airport Road near milepost 3. The driver swerved to avoid crows flying across the roadway. Vehicle #1 drove into the east side ditch and rolled onto its side. The driver stated he was not injured. The vehicle was towed.
12/17/19 - BURGLARY 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 – VANDALISM; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On Monday, December 9, 2019, at about 1:15 P.M., deputies arrived to the 3600 block of SW 53rd St. for a burglary. The resident told them sometime over the last few days, someone had attempted to break into her house, but nothing was missing.
12/17/19 - RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII - BAC TEST REFUSED.  On December 6, 2019, at about 6:10 pm, deputies stopped Marcel Jon Charton, 35, near Harrison and 25th St in Corvallis. Deputies determined Charton was impaired and arrested him for DUII. Charton refused a breath test and was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital for a blood draw. Charton was lodged in the Benton County Jail for DUII and Reckless Endangering.
12/13/19 – THEFT 3.  On December 11, 2019, at about 5:00 pm, a resident reported a theft of $8 from her farm stand located on NW Highway 20. She described the suspect as a 30-yea- old white male with a thin build and shoulder length light colored hair. The suspect left the area in a light colored 4-dr sedan. No further info available.
12/13/19 – IDENTITY THEFT.  On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at about 10:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a victim in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center. He stated he received a notice from a collections company for a Direct TV account which owed $1,200 dollars. He stated his wallet and Social Security card were stolen awhile back, but he did not report it because he was tired of reporting thefts from his vehicle. Deputies gave him a booklet with resources for Identity Theft victims.
12/12/19 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On December 10, 2019 at around 9 am, deputies were dispatched to the Camp Adair Road area for an injured owl. A woman was driving and saw an owl on the shoulder flailing around on the ground. She thought the animal had been shot. Deputies arrived and did not see any evidence that the animal had been shot. The owl appeared to have been hit by a vehicle and its wing was broken. Deputies believe the owl is an adult Barred Owl. Animal Control transported the injured owl to Chintimini Wildlife Center.
12/12/19 – DUII.  On December 10, 2019, at about 6:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to Marys River Rd between milepost 2 and 3 for a single vehicle traffic crash into a telephone pole. They subsequently arrested the driver, Cindy Morgan, 60, for DUII. Morgan provided a BAC sample of .13%.
12/12/19 - DUII - .20 OR ABOVE; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On December 6, 2019 at about 8:42 pm, I was dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash on Highway 99w near Smith Loop. Stuart Douglas Crane, 24, was southbound on HWY 99W when he turned into the ditch near Smith Loop. Deputies determined Crane was impaired and arrested him for DUII. His vehicle was towed from the scene which sustained minimal damage. Deputies transported Crane to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office where his BAC was found to be .22%.
12/12/19 - POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT.  On December 4, 2019 at about 7:26 pm, a caller reported John David Caldwell, 26, was at her residence on Gellatly Way, Philomath. Dispatch confirmed Caldwell had a release agreement from the Benton County Jail preventing him from contacting her. Caldwell was arrested for Violation of the Release Agreement and PCS-Meth.
12/11/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On December 8, 2019, at about 8:00 PM, deputies responded to Highway 20 and Granger Ave for a two-car motor vehicle crash.
12/11/19 - MISSING PERSON.  On Monday, December 9, 2019, at approximately 9:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Fern Road for report of a missing elderly man. Deputies obtained information that the man was carrying a cellular phone but was not answering it. A ping was obtained on the phone’s location due to falling temperatures and unknown whereabouts. Deputies located the man about a half mile away in a field after obtaining general GPS coordinates. Deputies returned him to his residence where his wife took over care of him.
12/10/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 12/9/19, AT APPROXIMATELY 1435, GRADBERG, SHERRI, 51, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET BECAUSE SHE HAD CONFIRMED WARRANTS FOR WARRANTS FTA PCS METH. GRADBERG WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
12/10/19 - VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT.  On Monday, December 9, 2019, at about 11:30 A.M., deputies arrested John Ruben Tucker, 46, for violating a No Contact Release Agreement. John was located at the tree farm near the 4515 West Hills Rd.  John was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
12/10/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Monday, December 9, 2019, at about 10:30 A.M., deputies located a male camping in a tree farm near 4515 West Wills Rd. They spoke to Gregory Allen Brunty, 50, who was camping in the tree farm and had four confirmed warrants for his arrest. Deputies transported Gregory to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
12/10/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Monday, December 2, 2019, at about 5:55 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Bellfountain Road, near Chapel Drive, near Philomath. They arrived to find Car 1 off the roadway on the east side of Bellfountain Road, rolling down the embankment on to its roof. Car 1 was traveling north when the driver stated he started to slide, causing the car to leave the roadway overturning. The roadway was very icy and the driver stated he slowed down while driving through a corner. The driver was uninjured and Car 1 was towed to an unknown destination.
12/9/19 - POSS METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Sunday, December 8th, 2019, at 4:00 p.m., deputies responded to the 24000 block of Evergreen Rd, Philomath, Benton County, Oregon in regards to a 911 hang-up call. Dispatch could hear people talking about drugs. Deputies contacted the caller, who consented to a search of his backpack. Deputies located two meth pipes with small amount of residue, three broken pieces of glass from meth pipes, and tin foil with burn marks. The items were seized for destruction and his Probation Officer was advised.
12/9/19 – DUII - .15 THRU .19.  On December 8, 2019, at about 1:18 AM, deputies stopped Russell Brown, 43, on Highway 20 near milepost 2 in Corvallis for Speeding and Failure to Drive within Lane. They later arrested Brown for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Brown`s blood alcohol content was .18%.
12/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On December 6, 2019, deputies arrested RACHEL ROSEANN HIGSEN, 39, on a confirmed Linn County warrant after a traffic stop on Plymouth Road near Bellfountain Road.
12/9/19 - SEARCH AND RESCUE-NOT MISSING.  On Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 5:12 p.m., a man reported he got lost while hiking west of Oak Creek Dr, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. Over the next several hours, deputies located the man and transported him back to his vehicle. He did not need medical attention.
12/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at approximately 11:57 P.M., deputies stopped WILLIAM K SAMPLES, 43, in the area of Highway 20 and Garrett Lane. WILLIAM had an active, confirmed warrant out of Monmouth Municipal Court for FTA DUII. Benton County Jail provided a court date for WILLIAM and deputies released him at the scene with a criminal citation to appear.
12/6/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, December 5, 2019, at approximately 11:07 P.M., deputies stopped JAMES ALBERT THOMPSON, 48, on Main St/14th St, Philomath, for a moving violation and later arrested him for a confirmed warrant out of Linn County Justice Court. JAMES was released with a criminal citation.
12/6/19 - UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE.  On Thursday, December 12, 2019, at about 12:15 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported sometime between December 3, 2019 and December 4, 2019, someone stole 3 items out of her Jeep parked in her driveway on the 2300 block of SE Kiger Island Drive. Items taken were $10 cash, $100 Leatherman tool, and a $20 phone charger.
12/6/19 - ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ.  On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, around 1:00 A.M., deputies located a black Lexus 350 on the south side ditch of Highway 34 near Ireland Drive. The driver was attempting to turn east onto Highway 34 from the Highway 34 bypass. He said he accelerated quickly and lost control going into the ditch. He was not injured and the Lexus was not damaged but stuck. A towing company arrived and towed the Lexus from the ditch. He was then able to drive the Lexus from the scene.
12/6/19 - STALKING – MISD; DUII – DRUGS; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2.  On December 3, 2019, at about 10:00 p.m., deputies arrested Brian Oliver Burkey, 42, for DUII, Stalking and Criminal Trespass II. He was transported to Benton County Jail.
12/6/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, December 1, 2019, at about 11:45 A.M., deputies were traveling on 3rd Street near Cummings Avenue when they observed two females crossing the road without a crosswalk and impeding traffic. They contacted both females and identified Thomas Ashley Amber Montgomery, 34, who had a confirmed warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Montgomery was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
