Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allow. Any arrest and complaint information included below is based on the legal conclusion that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at about 10:07am, deputies were dispatched to investigate someone screaming on Highway 20 near milepost 1. Michael Bartholomew Zimmerman, 55, had been yelling at his dog, who had run away. Zimmerman had a Corvallis Municipal Court for Failure to Appear and other crimes. Zimmerman was cited and released.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On 10/01/2022 at approximately 9:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft in the 2600 block of SE Crystal Lake Drive. They spoke with a caller who said her juvenile daughter runs a small farm stand in front of their house and this morning she discovered the lock box had been broken into. The lock box contained less than $20. There was no video of the unknown suspect.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 10th, 2022 at around 1:50 AM, deputies located Angel Ramirez, 26, on North Albany Rd and Hickory Street in Albany. Ramirez had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal court for Criminal trespass 1. He was subsequently issued a citation in lieu of custody.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On October 1, 2022, at 12:37 AM, deputies stopped a male on 3rd Street near Twin Oakes in Corvallis for Failure to Drive within Lane and Offensive Littering. The driver was cited for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured. He had a nice downhill mountain bike in the back of his pickup and told deputies an unknown person abandoned it in the back of his pickup. He agreed it would probably be a good idea for deputies to take the bike and try to locate the owner. Deputies placed the bike into evidence as Found Property.
DWS FEL; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 29th, 2022 at around 4:01 PM, deputies responded to the 5400 block of NE HWY 20 for a two-vehicle crash. Deputies determined there were no injuries and that one driver, Jerad Garcia, 45, had a revoked driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested and both vehicles were towed.
ASSAULT 4 - On Friday, September 30, 2022, at about 10:20 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of an assault in the 1000 block of N 9th Street, Philomath. A resident told deputies Angelina Juanita Morris, 51, punched them in the face during an argument on January 22, 2022. Deputies later arrested Angelina Morris for Assault 4. Angelina Morris was transported to the Polk County Jail to await arraignment.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 29th, 2022 at about 3:10 pm, deputies stopped Jason Surratt, 47, of Jefferson, at Valley View Drive and Countryman Circle in North Albany. The vehicle Surratt was driving had license plates showing the tags expired in 2020. Dispatch advised that Surratt was DWS-Revoked-Misdemeanor through Oregon DMV. Dispatch also advised that Surratt had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Albany Muni Court for Contempt of Court.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 9/28/2022 at around 7:00 PM, a man returned to his vehicle in a parking lot of 24800 Highway 34 and found the back window of his vehicle was broken. He said the glass was still intact when he got to his vehicle, but when he raised the rear window, it fell apart. He said nothing was missing from his vehicle and did not know how the window got broken. He said the window was intact when he got to work at 4:50 AM that morning
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 28, 2022, at about 12:36 pm, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run at 53rd and Reservoir. Driver 1 was northbound on 53rd St, stopped at a red light at Reservoir. An unknown color, smaller sedan ran into the back end of his vehicle. Driver 2 exited her vehicle and asked driver 1 if he was Ok. Driver 1 described her as a white female, mid 20`s, 5`5" with short dark hair. While driver 1 was on the phone with dispatch, the unknown driver left the scene. The only damage to driver 1’s vehicle was a partial imprint (scratches) of the suspect`s vehicle front plate. The plate was similar to 839UUD.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On September 28, 2022, deputies responded to SW 53rd Ave and SW Beals to recover a Red, Diamondback brand mountain bike. The bike had front suspension and disc brakes. Deputies transported the bike to the LEC and logged it into evidence as found property.
MENACING; DUII; ELUDE VEHICLE; FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE - On September 27, 2022, at approximately 8:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 16400 block of Tobacco Rd, Alsea, for a disturbance. When Jesse HIGGINS, 48, was arrested for Elude, DUII, and an out-of-state parole violation warrant.
LITTERING - On September 27, 2022, in the afternoon, deputies were dispatched to Hyak Park off Highway 20, regarding a commercial mailbox stand dumped near the Willamette River at Hyak Park. Deputies retrieved the mailbox stand from the river bank. There were no identifying addresses or any mail in the mailboxes. There are no suspects and no known victims. Deputies dropped off the mailbox cluster to the Corvallis Post Office since the mailbox said "US Mail" on it. The Post Office manager said it would have belonged to USPS, and they would try to find out more about it on their end.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 27, 2022, a resident reported a male in his sixties came to her residence and an adjacent residence on Springhill Dr in Monroe. The male made statements that he was looking for people treating his friends badly. Recent evictions have taken place at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the male described or his vehicle.
ASSAULT 4; KIDNAPPING 2 - On 9/27/2022 at approximately 1:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 6700 block of NE Pettibone Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance. There they contacted Raymon Michael Heyer, 36. Raymon was arrested for Assault 4 and Kidnapping in the 2nd Degree. Raymon was transported to and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/27/2022 at approximately 11:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run on Highway 20 near Priest Road. There they contacted a driver who said a semi-truck trailer had sideswiped her vehicle while she was turning left onto Priest Road from Highway 20. There was minimal damage to her vehicle and she was not injured. The semi-truck was not located.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 27, 2022, a female reported receiving a phone call from her husband telling her that he had maced their son. She requested a welfare check on the son, who lives in the woods near the Takena Landing trail. Deputies checked the area contacting multiple people, none of whom knew either of the men.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, deputies received a letter with a note from CPD records about the letter being possible identity theft. Deputies informed the sender of the letter that the letter appeared to be a legitimate collections notice and explained to her about signing up for a credit monitoring service and identity theft options.
DUII; MIS DWS - On 09/26/2022 at approximately 8:00 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Philomath near 13th Street and Main Street. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Michael Tucker, 34, for DUII. Tucker was processed for DUII at the Philomath Police Department. He was subsequently released to a sober friend.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 26, 2022, a female reportedly observed a late-teens to early 20`s white male in the Adair city park. The male appeared to be following her as she walked her dog. The male did not attempt to contact her.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 9/26/2022 at approximately 1:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle crash on Springhill Drive near Milepost 2. A Toyota Rav4 had swerved off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and she was transported by Albany Fire to Good Samaritan Hospital with suspected injuries. Speaking with multiple witnesses, the driver lost control of her vehicle while traveling westbound on Springhill Drive. Witnesses estimated the driver’s speed to be between 40 and 45 miles per hour.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 9/25/2022 at approximately 4:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Hills Road for a report of an injury crash. Driver 1 was traveling westbound on Reservoir in her Nissan Leaf. Driver 2 was pulling out of a driveway across traffic in order to travel eastbound on Reservoir in a Dodge Dakota pickup. The corner just before the driveway that driver 2 was pulling out of, is a blind corner. Driver 1 did not see driver 2 when she began pulling out. Driver 2 sped up in order to get into the proper lane of travel; however, driver 1 swerved into the oncoming lane in order to avoid driver 2 at which point driver 2’s vehicle impacted the driver-side portion of vehicle 2. Both drivers were uninjured and both vehicles were able to be driven off the roadway.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 21, 2022, at approximately 8:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W north of Adair. A male said he had given a female a ride but she wanted out of the vehicle when they were north of Adair. Deputies located the female on Camp Adair Rd near the railroad tracks. The female gave deputies a false name of Abigail. They eventually convinced the female to let them give her a ride to a residence in Albany.
ASSAULT 4 - On September 19, 2022, at approximately 8:30 PM, deputies responded to the 5000 block of NW Highway 99W for a Disturbance. When they arrived they determined Jennifer CAMILLE, 40, was arrested for Assault 4 and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 2; CRIMINAL MISTREATMENT 2 - On Monday, September 19, 2022, at about 11:20 am, deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School to investigate a theft and later arrested Darren Michael Bland, 46, for the theft of two bottles of generic Adderall and several other crimes.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 18, 2022, at about 5:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 24400 block of Hazel Glen Rd, Alsea. The resident stated in substance that she believed an unknown description man showed up at her residence claiming to meet someone that had sent him nude pictures. She did not see the man and received second and third-hand information that that was what he was there for. The man reportedly drove an older blue sedan. No further information.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, September 25, 2022, at about 2:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash at Harrison Boulevard and 53rd Street. Unit 1, a Toyota 4Runner, turned south onto 53rd Street from Harrison Boulevard, through a red light, and struck unit 2, a Ford F150. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no airbags deployed. Neither driver showed signs of impairment. Both vehicles were undrivable and were towed by privately-contracted tow trucks.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES DRIVER - On 9/25/2022 at approximately 10:15 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a hit and run at Monroe City Park. Deputies contacted a female who told them her car had been hit while she was down by the river. She did not see the vehicle leaving, but heard it "peeling" out.
DOG AT LARGE - On 09/25/2022 at approximately 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of NW Jackson Creek Road for a found dog. Deputies contacted a resident who had secured the dog in her car. She said she found the dog running on Crescent Valley Drive. The dog had a tag with two phone numbers listed. One phone number went to Animal Control and the other phone number went to Heartland Humane Society. Deputies transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society and left it in the care of Heartland Staff.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Sunday, September 25, 2022, at about 10:15 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a vehicle break-in in the 4800 block of NW Fir Place. The resident reported someone had entered his Ford F250 pickup and searched through the center console. Nothing was taken from inside the truck, but it appeared gas was siphoned from the vehicle`s tank.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, September 25th, 2022, at 1:04 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Hwy 99W near MP 75, for a single vehicle crash off the roadway. Vehicle #1, a silver 2006 Honda Pilot, drove off Hwy 99W to the East, and into the brush. The driver swerved to miss a deer. He stated he was traveling 45 MPH, was wearing his seatbelt, and his side airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage to the front right wheel. The driver was provided a courtesy ride home.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Saturday, September 24, 2022, at approximately 11:45 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Alpine Cutoff Road for loud music. Prior to driving to the area, deputies received information from other law enforcement who had already driven to the area and determined the music was not very loud, so no action was taken. The same caller had called back in and was not happy that nothing had been done. Deputies later drove to the area and determined the music was still not too loud.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, September 24, 2022, at about 12:30 pm, driver 1 one was driving south on Kings Valley Highway in his 2002 Volvo V70. As unit 1 slowed to turn east on Ritner road he was struck from behind by driver 2, in a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. Driver 1 and his passenger were uninjured. Driver 2 sustained minor injuries when his airbag deployed. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt and no one showed signs of impairment. Both involved vehicles drove away from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ -On 09/24/2022 at approximately 07:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 Milepost 41 for a non-injury crash of a single vehicle. The driver told deputies she was traveling west on Highway 20 when she saw an animal in her lane of travel. She approximated her speed to be between 55 and 60 miles per hour. She said she braked hard which caused her vehicle to fishtail. She was unable to regain control of her car and she told deputies her car may have spun a few times. She said she was wearing her seatbelt, and her airbags did not deploy. No animal or other vehicles were hit. The car was towed out of the ditch and the vehicle was released to the driver at the scene
WARRANT ARREST - On September 23rd, 2022 at around 8:59 PM, deputies located Taylor Miskie near SW Madison Ave and SW 6th St. Miskie had an active Linn County Circuit Court warrant for FTA DUII. Miskie was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; DWS MIS - On Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 3:00 pm, deputies saw silver Ford F150 parked on the access road to Takena Landing. They later arrested and cited the driver, Raul Anthony Gutierrez, 23, for misdemeanor driving while suspended and possession of methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 3:00 pm, deputies saw a silver Ford F150 parked on the access road to Takena Landing. The driver and registered owner of the F150, Raul Anthony Gutierrez, 23, was misdemeanor suspended and had a warrant for his arrest out of the Marion County Circuit Court. Deputies arrested Gutierrez and, at Marion County`s request, he received a citation in lieu of custody for his warrant.
THEFT 2 - On September 23, 2022, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street, Monroe, for the theft of garbage cans. The caller reported two of her garbage cans had been stolen from her residence. She told deputies she went to take her garbage out and noticed her garbage cans were missing. She told deputies she contacted her garbage service, who told her they did not take her cans, and it would cost her $70 each to replace them.
OVERDOSE - On Friday, September 23, 2022, at about 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to assist medics with a possible overdose in the 24300 block of Starr Creek Road. Medics later transported a male resident to the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for treatment. The male appeared to have overdosed on opioids.
THEFT 1 - On September 21, 2022, around 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone about fraudulent activity in one of his loan accounts. He reported there was $2,750 dollars missing from one of his accounts, and suspicious activity on his Amazon account. There is no suspect information at this time
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 09/20/2022 at approximately 10:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School for a report that a group of juvenile students had been shot with gel beads from an Orbeez gun on Friday, 09/16/2022. Deputies spoke with one of the fathers of the juveniles on the phone. He told deputies that none of the juveniles were injured and would like to file a report.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On September 18th, 2022, at around 8:21 PM, deputies stopped a 2009 Green GMC Pickup. The driver initially provided a fake name and was taken into custody. He was later identified as Joseph Shores, 50, of Lebanon. Shores had two Linn County Circuit Court warrants, one Lebanon Justice Court warrant, and one Lebanon Municipal court warrant. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody for providing false info to a peace officer. He was suspended violation and failed to provide proof of insurance, which he was cited for.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 18th, 2022 at around 4:06 PM, deputies located Katie Linn Wamsley, 26, walking with a longboard near Western Blvd and 6th Street. Wamsley had several warrants for her arrest including a statewide felony parole board warrant. Deputies attempted contact with Wamsley but she got on her long board and attempted to flee. After a short chase she was contacted and taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15th, 2022, at around 10:09 PM, deputies contacted Steven Lynch, 62, in the 600 block of North Albany Rd. Lynch had an active Marion County Circuit Court warrant for FTA DUII. Lynch was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
DUII - On September 12th, 2022 at about 7:15 pm, deputies stopped Rasor for Fail to Drive Within the Lane of Travel. After SFST`s, they arrested the driver, Stephanie Rasor, 43, for DUII. Later she agreed to physically cooperate and take a breath test.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On September 10th, 2022 at around 8:21 PM, deputies responded to the 29300 block of Kiwi Ln, Adair, for a fight at a wedding. The caller reported there was a fight between the neighbor and one of the wedding guests. Deputies determined a female had driven her pickup across her lawn to point it at the wedding party and began honking and flashing lights because she disapproved of the wedding music. She had a confrontation with a wedding guest and slapped her in the face.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 22, 2022, at around 4:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to South Fork Rd MP 1 for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. They later spoke with the driver who told deputies she fell asleep and drove her black 2021 GMC Sierra off the roadway, flipping it into a nearby field. The GMC is completely off the roadway and her insurance arranged for a tow.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 21, 2022, around 8:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 99 and Lewisburg Avenue, Corvallis, for a motor vehicle crash with no injuries. It was reported three vehicles were involved in the crash. Two of the three vehicles were towed and no citations were issued.
UUV - On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at approximately 6:49 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of SW 3rd Street, Corvallis for report of an Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. A resident said that sometime between 4:00 PM and 6:15 PM, someone took his black 1998 Subaru Forester from his residence. The keys were on the seat and it had approximately 3/8 of a tank of fuel. A possible suspect is a male in his 30s with dark hair and a beard seen in a vehicle matching the description on Starr Road around 5:00 PM.
HARASSMENT - On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at approximately 6:13 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24300 block of Hewett Road for report of an unknown problem. Deputies found that a male had gotten into a physical altercation with a neighbor. The male did not wish to be a victim of any crime and there was no other reporting party.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at approximately 4:31 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 6400 block of NW Sisters Place, Corvallis for report of a civil problem. EMILY G ALLSTOT, 38, had called 911 during a verbal argument with another resident. There was no crime and dispatch advised EMILY had an active, confirmed cite and release warrant which deputies served before leaving the residence.
THEFT 3 - On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at about 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Courthouse. Courthouse Security had a female detained for attempting to steal property from a backpack belonging to a male working on the courthouse. The male said nothing was stolen and did not want to be a victim if the female was counseled about leaving his belongings alone. Deputies counseled the female and told her she was free to leave.
HARASSMENT- On 09/20/2022 at approximately 11:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a harassment call in the 100 block of W Alder Street in Alsea. Deputies contacted two men by phone. One man told deputies that his son was being harassed by his daughter. Deputies later spoke with the other man, who told deputies the same.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, September 19, 2022, at approximately 3:01 PM, deputies responded to the area of Springhill Drive near milepost 3 for a report of an injury motor vehicle crash. A driver had been driving south on Springhill Drive in his 2017 Subaru Crosstrek when he left the roadway to the right while attempting to change the radio station. He continued partially in the ditch for approximately 200 feet before the vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver sustained minor injuries and left with his fiancé.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/18/22, DEPUTIES WAS PREPARING CUSTODY FILES FOR RELEASE AND LEARNED FULFORD, KATHRYN, 29, HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA DUII. FULFORD WAS GIVEN A COURT DATE AND TIME.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, September 18, 2022, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious circumstance in the 26400 block of Alpine Road, Monroe. The reporting person told deputies he received two threatening phone calls from an unlisted number the previous night.
HARASSMENT - On September 17, 2022, at about 4:18 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of West Alder Street for possible trespass in progress where people were refusing to leave, threats being made, and at least one involved person at the address had a firearm. Initially it was a civil matter until a fight broke out between KARL POAGE, 59, on one side, then ROBERT BRZENZINSKI, 37, and another male on the other. The two were cited for Harassment.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 17, 2022, at about 1:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in the 6900 block of NW Cardinal Drive in Corvallis. Deputies arrived to speak with a female who stated she was dog sitting and heard something on the deck that sounded like a person. She stated she also heard the slider door open and she locked herself in the bathroom. Deputies searched the house and did not find any evidence anyone entered the home. They also noticed all items that could be taken or worth money were untouched. Deputies provided her with their business card and told her to call back if anything further happened.
UUV - On September 15, 2022, around 11:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone about a vehicle of his being stolen. He said he had a green, 1969 Ford F100 parked in the field at the intersection of Williams and Alpine Road. He said he received a text from one of his neighbors on September 14, that the truck was gone. He said the truck had four deflated tires, did not have a battery, was missing the front bumper, and would not likely have license plates on it. There are no suspects at this time.
HARASSMENT- On 09/12/2022 at approximately 3:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of harassment in the 24500 block of Evergreen Road in Philomath. Deputies contacted a resident who said her neighbor was yelling at her through the fence and had followed her while she walked her dog. She said she already looked into a Stalking Protection Order and a Restraining Order but she did not qualify. She was previously told by a deputy in a separate incident that it is best to ignore her neighbor and not engage with her. Deputies told her that nothing criminal had occurred between them and reiterated that the best course of action was to avoid her neighbor.
THEFT 1; FORGERY 1 - On 09/12/2022, deputies were dispatched to a report of a fraud. Deputies spoke with a resident who said he had two cashier`s checks from Oregon State Federal Credit Union that were marked as fraudulent by Wells Fargo. One of the cashier`s checks was for $37,950.00 and the other check was for $7,850.00. Oregon State Federal Credit Union said that they will not put a hold on either of the cashier`s checks. The resident said that he had already locked the remainder of his accounts.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 09/12/22 at approximately, 1:25 pm, LEWIS, WILL NATHAN, 24, of Lebanon, reported to the Benton County Jail on a warrant for Failure to perform duties of a driver-hit and run- through Linn County. The warrant was confirmed and a new court date and time were given by Linn County. LEWIS, Will signed a release agreement and was released from the jail`s custody.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On August 27, 2022, at about 12:35 AM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 180 and Atticus Lane for a criminal mischief complaint. The road sign for Atticus Lane was cut down by a saw. No suspect information was available. The damage to the sign was only heard and not seen. The road department was notified to have a replacement sign put up.
THEFT 3 - On September 17, 2022, at 4:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis for a theft. The store clerk told deputies a white male in his 20`s, with dirty blond hair, a tan shirt, blue jeans and gauged ears took a Margarita Mixed Drink and M&M`s without paying. The clerk said he told the male he was going to call the cops. The clerk said the male smiled and patted him on the head. The male left in an older 4-door sedan, tan in color. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
CUSTODIAL INTERFERENCE 2 - On September 16, 2022, deputies responded to 600 Dragon Drive (Monroe Grade School) to try and intercept Linda Lee Jackson, 44, of Lebanon prior to picking up her two children for her allotted visitation and investigate where her 14-year-old female daughter was being kept. Deputies received information that there had been a writ of assistance issued on September 6, 2022, by Linn County Circuit Court to attempt to locate. Deputies arrested Linda for Custodial Interference II and transported her to Linn County Jail where she was lodged.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Friday, September 16, 2022, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a theft in the 1800 block of Wooded Knolls Drive. A resident reported about $120 had been stolen from a farm stand in front of her house at about 6:45 am. She did not see the suspects. Deputies visited the scene and spoke with the neighbors, but did not find any evidence of the suspect`s identity.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at approximately 7:00 P.M., deputies contacted a male in an area that he may be trespassing. They later learned that the male had been evicted from a house on the road and was not welcome in the area. Deputies warned him for trespassing and he left.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 8th, 2022, at about 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to N Hwy 99W for a non-injury crash. Upon arrival, both vehicles had been moved off the roadway. There was damage to the front of both vehicles but there was no injuries reported. The Toyota Rav4 was towed and deputies gave that driver a ride. The Rav4 was driven away by the valid driver/owner.
IDENTITY THEFT – On September 8, 2022, at about 9:30 a.m., deputies spoke to a resident in the 900 block of Overlook Drive. He reported identity theft and computer crimes with a loss total of $149.00. No suspects.
THEFT 1 - On September 14, 2022, at about 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to the angler pond at EE Wilson Wildlife area. A Honda Fit was broken into and a purse was stolen. No suspects.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 14, 2022, around 11:30 AM, deputies were on patrol, in a marked patrol vehicle, in the area of 11th Street and Cleveland Avenue, Corvallis. They observed a black Chrysler 300, turn onto Cleveland Avenue without signaling for 100 feet, violating ORS 811.335 Unlawful Turn. The driver, Andrea Rachel Dorman, 37, was issued a criminal citation for her cite and release Trespass 1 warrant, and a traffic citation for Driving While Suspended Violation.
WARRANT ARREST; DWS MIS - On September 12, 2022, at about 11:25 p.m., deputies stopped JENNIFER HIGGINS, 45, for numerous traffic violations on Highway 20, near milepost 1, when she was driving a black Honda Civic. HIGGINS did not stop right away, and pulled into Hewlett Packard`s driveway and stopped blocking the roadway. Deputies arrested HIGGINS for DWS (Misdemeanor/Revoked), a custody warrant out of Clackamas County for DWS Misdemeanor/Revoked, and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and later released. HIGGINS’ vehicle was towed since it was a traffic hazard. Deputies cited HIGGINS for Driving Uninsured and Fail to Drive Within Lane.
DWS MIS - On September 11th, 2022, at about 9:05 am, deputies stopped Ricky David Rasmussen, 41, for improper display of DWV license plate stickers. Rasmussen was DWS-Misdemeanor through Oregon DMV. Deputies cited and released Rasmussen for the DWS Misdemeanor and he was released.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 9th, 2022, at around 7:30 PM, deputies received a report from a driver regarding a hit and run. He reported he was at a wedding earlier, and when he left, he observed damage to the front bumper of his vehicle. There was a note left on his windshield which read in substance "Blue Honda Odyssey Van." I located the owner of the van and was able to get the two men in contact with each other and they exchanged information.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 10th, 2022, at around 01:32 AM, deputies contacted Curtis Dorman, 19, near a motorcycle at a motel in Corvallis. Dorman had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for DWS misdemeanor. He was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 9th, 2022, at around 5:55 PM, deputies received a report of a hit and run that occurred at HWY 34 MP 45. The caller reported that a white pickup crossed the center line of the road and the truck`s oversized tow mirror hit his vehicle’s mirror and windshield, causing damage.
PUBLIC INDECENCY MISD - On September 8, 2022, at about 10:45 a.m., deputies were in the area of SW 5th St and SW Washington Ave when dispatch aired a report of a male likely masturbating in public with his pants down. Deputies contacted a male with significant abscesses and wounds on his buttocks and genitals who was rubbing Vasoline on the wounds and scratching them. Deputies told him to cover his genitals. He said he would and refused medical assistance.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 27th, 2022, deputies responded to a single-vehicle roll-over crash in the 20800 block of Bellfountain Rd. The driver was uninsured. The vehicle was towed and the driver was transported to the Grayhound station in Corvallis.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 12, 2022, at about 1:27 pm, deputies were running stationary radar in the school zone at Muddy Creek School on Bellfountain Rd. They observed a Penske Box truck traveling northbound through the school zone at 45 mph. They made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Sebastian Cazarez Campos, 28, of Salem. Campos had a confirmed no bail Marion County Circuit Court warrant for FTA Criminal Mischief II. Deputies issued Campos a citation with a Marion County Court date.
STRANGULATION; INTERFERE W/ MAKING A REPORT; ASSAULT 4 - On 09/11/2022, at approximately 1:25 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at Northwest Independence Highway and Camp Adair Road. There they contacted Amber Curtis, 33. Amber was arrested for Strangulation, Assault 4, and Interfering with making a report. Amber was transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
THEFT 3 - On September 8, 2022, deputies spoke with a resident regarding a stolen license plate from his 2010, Ford F-150. He had no information as to when or where the license plate was stolen. The license plate will be entered as stolen.
MENACING - On September 8, 2022, at about 7:45 a.m., deputies responded to a menacing, road rage incident traveling 99 from Monroe. Two men were contacted. No weapons were located or involved during the incident.
WARRANT ARREST - On 08/25/22 at approximately 2:23 am, deputies cited DAVIS, Sarah M, 28 on an active warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. A new court date was issued for DAVIS and she was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 18, 2022, Nicole Patterson, 24, reported to the jail on a warrant for FTA - Poss. Stolen Veh / No Bail. She was released with a court date after warrant was cleared.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 11, 2022, Alex Mayberry, 34, reported to the jail with warrants for FTA theft 1, UUMV, PCS heroin, PCS meth / no bail. Mayberry was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - ANGELA REID, 47, turned herself in at the front door of the Benton County Jail on 6/27/2022. REID was released with a release agreement and a new court date.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 3, 2022, at around 1:10 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on an orange 2008 Dodge Challenger near SW 53rd St and Philomath Blvd. They later arrested Steven Graves, 57, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 29, 2022, deputies responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury crash on Independence Hwy near Gilmore Lane. Driver 1 was traveling north when he drove onto the shoulder, over corrected, and ended up rolling the vehicle. No obvious injuries and the vehicle was towed.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 9/12/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:23 AM, DEPUTIES CITED RAN DEANE, RHONDA, 45, ON A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA PCS METH, NO BAIL. LINN COUNTY CHOSE TO GIVE A COURT DATE AND TIME. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON DEANE WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL, 190 NW 4TH STREET IN CORVALLIS.
DWS FEL; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 10th, 2022, deputies arrested JEFFREY SCOTT BARKER, 35, out of Siletz, on a felony caution warrant for kidnapping in the second degree out of Marion County after a traffic stop on Highway 223 near Highway 20.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 9, 2022, at around 11:45 pm, deputies contacted a woman in a blue 2007 Saturn Aurura at the Chevron gas station near North Albany Rd and Hickory Rd. They later issued Allysa Lambert, 50, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of Court.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - DEVON BONDE, 33, of Shedd, turned himself in at BCJ on a warrant for FTA - Assault IV out of Benton County Circuit Court. Bonde  was taken into custody and booked, then forced released pretrial due to overcrowding. Bonde signed a release agreement with `no unlawful contact with victim.'
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, September 9, 2022, at about 4:30 pm, deputies were serving an eviction notice in the 3900 block of Witham Hill Drive when they discovered one of the tenants, Derek Tyson Bellamy, 34, was wanted on a Linn County Circuit Court felony warrant. Deputies arrested Bellamy on the warrant and later issued him a citation with a new court date at Linn County`s request.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, September 8, 2022, at about 8:30 pm, Deputies were dispatched to 53rd Street and Walnut Boulevard for a vehicle crash. Vehicle 1 failed to yield the right of way to driver 2 in the intersection. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to damage.
POSS OXYCODONE; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS - On September 8, 2022, at 8:43 PM, deputies stopped Marcus Martell, 33, of Salem, on Interstate 5 near Concomly Road NE Salem for traveling 91 miles per hour. Prior to obtaining the radar reading, they observed Martell traveling over an estimated 100 miles per hour. Deputies later arrested Martell for DUII and Reckless Driving after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Martell was Driving While Suspended and in Possession of Oxycodone. Martell consented to a Breath Test and Urine Test. Martell refused to complete a Drug Influence Evaluation and was cited into Marion County Circuit Court.
UUV; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 9, 2022, at around 6:08 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of SW Plymouth Dr for a report of UUMV. A resident reported discovering that sometime within the past two nights someone entered his barn and stole his orange 1970 Honda Trail 70. No current suspects.
THEFT 1 - On September 8, 2022, at about 1:15 p.m., deputies spoke to a resident in the 6900 block of NW Zinfandel Ln who reported a fraudulent bank account opened in his name with a $3,397.05 loss of finances from various accounts.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 9/7/2022 at around 2:00 AM, a driver was traveling toward Highway 34 on BLM 10 near Marys Peak. Around MP4, he swerved to miss a deer and drove off the roadway, hitting a tree to stop him from going down the hillside. He walked out to Highway 34 and got a ride to his residence. That morning he called a tow company to have them tow his vehicle due to the damage from the crash. He stated he did not know he needed to call Law Enforcement after crashing his vehicle. He declined medical care.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On September 7, 2022 at about 8 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of NW Country Ct. A resident became a victim of a Publisher`s Clearing House Scam. Deputies documented the scam and case was forwarded to authorities in Florida for follow up.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On September 2, 2022, at approximately 3:33 pm, MATHEWS, OCEANA SEREN RAIN, 21, of Portland, reported to the jail located at 190 NW 4th Street Corvallis, OR 97330, for a warrant for DUI x2. Deputies issued Mathews a release agreement with a new court date, which she signed and then was released from the jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 2, 2022, around 11:45AM, deputies were dispatched to a single-motor vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 34, near Missouri Bend Park. The rider identified as Elmer Gene Goertzen, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for his injuries by the Corvallis Fire Department.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - Jason Denault, 32, came into custody from the hub via Multnomah County on Sept 1, 2022. He had a Lebanon Municipal warrant for FTA Assault IV. Lebanon Muni gave court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 8/29/2022, at approximately 11:10 am, Adam Nicklaus Wiebe, 26, reported to the Benton County Jail, located at 190 NW 4th Street Corvallis, Or 97330, for a warrant for theft three. Deputies issued Wiebe a new court date and he was released from the jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 1, 2022, at around 5:09 pm, deputies observed a woman biking through Takena Landing Park while a small dog ran alongside her in the heat of the day. They contacted the woman to investigate the crime of Animal Abuse in the 2nd Degree and later arrested Jennifer James, 50, for and Oregon State Parole Board warrant. James was transported to Linn County Jail where she was lodged.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 1st, 2022 at about 2:49 A.M., a resident reported hearing what he believed was the door of one of his vehicles closing in the 31900 block of Fern Road in Philomath. He stated he is a light sleeper and he looked outside and saw a male figure in a denim jacket at the back of his SUV. He could not provide any other descriptors. He said he turned on some lights and went outside and checked his entire property and found nobody around, and nothing disturbed or stolen. Philomath Police and BCSO checked the area and found nothing.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, deputies stopped a green colored Dodge minivan for having an expired license plate tag on Bellfountain Road near 53rd Street. They arrested the passenger, Angela Alice Filip, 25, for six warrants out of Benton County. Angela was issued citations with a court date and time provided by the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS; FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at about 7:00 P.M., deputies stopped a red Mercedes for speeding on Highway 20 near milepost 41. They arrested Timothy Alan Coonrod, 44, for a Lincoln county warrant, driving while suspended misdemeanor, and fail to register as a sex offender. Timothy was issued citations and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On August 31, 2022, at around 6:01pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of Bullevard for a reported Trespass and arrested Jacquie Schwartzman, 65. She was released with a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 31, 2022, Kimberly Ann Barnes, 51, was arrested on numerous warrants at the rear entrance of the Benton County Courthouse, 120 NW 4th St. Corvallis. Barnes was lodged at the jail.
THEFT 1 - On August 31, 2022, at about 11:18 am, deputies spoke with a resident about a scam. He called a phone number he received from a Geek Squad email. During the conversation, an unknown male subject with a foreign accent, gained remote access to his computer. While on the computer, the subject made it appear his bank account had been emptied. The subject demanded payment in the form of gift cards to receive the money back into his account. He purchased two $500 Target cards from Safeway and provided the numbers to the subject. Realizing it was a scam, took the necessary steps to protect all of his financial accounts.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 30, 2022, at around 6:00 pm, deputies contacted Kevin Fuller, 58, in Takena Landing Park and later issued Fuller a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 26, 2022, around 10:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident about a suspicious circumstance at his residence in the 34000 block of Mary`s River Estates Road, Philomath. He told deputies he had noticed a small area of his firewood pile had been charred and burned. He said he suspected it happened sometime in the past three to four days. Deputies advised him to put up cameras around his property in case anyone returned to reignite the wood pile, and to put, "No Trespassing," signs on his property.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 4, 2022, deputies stopped a silver Dodge Avenger in the 400 block of NW 2nd Street, Corvallis, for having an unlawful license plate cover. They later arrested the driver, Bradley Neil Damewood, 43, on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant. At the request of the Lebanon Municipal Court, Damewood was cited and released.
LITTERING - On Sunday, September 4, 2022, at about 12:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a sign that had been placed on the grass in front of the Benton County Jail at 190 NW 4th Street. When they arrived at the scene, they found a large, hand-painted sign that read "Human Zoo" with an arrow pointing toward the Jail. No one was present with the sign and none of the cameras at the Jail saw the sign being placed. The sign was removed and placed in the garbage.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, September 4, 2022, at about 12:10 pm, deputies stopped a white Buick sedan on Philomath Boulevard near Western Boulevard after watching it make several un-signaled turns. They later arrested the driver, Joshua Allen Gilmore, 27, for misdemeanor driving while suspended. Gilmore was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 4th, 2022, at 2:30 am, deputies arrested Crystal Villanueva, 35, for an Albany warrant at 500 N Albany Rd/Hwy 20. She was cited and released.
THEFT 2 - On 09/03/2022 at approximately 11:13 hours, deputies took a Fraud report. A female was trying to rent a car from "Thrifty Car Company". She was ultimately scammed for $960.00.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 – On September 3, 2022, at about 11:08 a.m., deputies spoke to a woman by phone regarding her vehicle window being broken at Crescent Valley High School during the football game the previous night. No suspects.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Saturday, September 3, 2022, at about 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a possible domestic disturbance in the 27600 block of Highway 99. A couple was in the process of separating when deputies arrived. No crime had been committed.
THEFT 2 - On Saturday, September 3, 2022, at about 7:00 am, deputies was dispatched to investigate a reported theft from 525 Monroe Avenue. A female had taken a rolling recycling bin from the address and was using it to transport her personal belongings. She agreed to remove her personal items from the bin and return it to where it belonged. She was warned against taking items that did not belong to her and yelling at people on the street.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 2, 2022, at around 5:02 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of E Main St, Alsea for a report of Criminal Mischief where a caller reported a man driving a garden tractor with trailer knocked his side mirror of his truck while it was parked along E Main St. The caller showed deputies security footage from August 31 at 2:54 pm that showed the incident. Deputies later spoke with the man who said he must not have noticed he hit the truck. They agreed to have a mutual acquaintance mediate reimbursement of the mirror.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On September 2, 2022, at about 11:20 a.m., deputies spoke to a caller regarding a possible Probation Violation of a female at Oak Grove School. It was determined that her probation had expired.
DWS MIS; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 1, 2022, at about 5:50 AM, deputies stopped an Oldsmobile cutlass near 2nd Street and Harrison Boulevard. The driver, Jacob Wilson, 35, was arrested for a Marion County warrant and DWS-Misdemeanor. He was later released on citation.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 1st, 2022, at about 5:50 am, deputies were traveling northbound on 3rd Street in Corvallis when they observed a vehicle in front of them with no taillights. Deputies stopped the driver, Josselyn Jack, 31, and learned that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Albany Muni Court. Deputies cited Jack for, DWS-Violation, Driving Uninsured and Expired Tags. She was cited and released on the warrant for Child Neglect II.
THEFT 3 - On August 31, 2022, at around 7:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to a local farm for a reported theft. They reported that his mother had witnessed a man on a bicycle steal apples from a tree. They did not have a detailed description of the man and only told deputies his mother wanted the man trespassed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 26, 2022, around 3:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to Harris Road, near milepost 5, Philomath, for a motor vehicle crash. Dispatch advised a single vehicle was involved, the vehicle was on its side, and there were no injuries to the single occupant of the vehicle. The driver told me she was not injured but could not extricate from the vehicle. Deputies assisted her climb back to the ground. They then transported her to her grandma’s house at her request.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On August 26th, 2022, at about 1:25 pm, deputies met a man in the LEC lobby. He told deputies while he was in prison he suspects that a woman known to him used his personal information to charge items in his name, namely, Les Schwab, Aaron`s Rental and others.
MENACING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING; ENDANGER WELFARE OF MINOR; POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (MISD) PARAPHERNALIA; CHILD NEGLECT 2; CRIMINAL MISTREATMENT 2; HARASSMENT PHONE - On August 26, 2022, at about 12:15 p.m., deputies responded to the 600 block of Pine Street for a report of child neglect. Deputies arrested Tyler Hornaday, 29, for Criminal Mistreatment II (x2), Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (x2), Child Neglect II (x2), Reckless Endangering (x4), PCS- Meth (Misd), Menacing (DV) and Harassment (DV). He was lodged at the jail.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 24, 2022, deputies spoke by phone to a daycare provider in the 2700 block of SW 53rd Street. She told deputies about a suspicious vehicle that stopped at the location and was taking pictures of people.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On August 22, 2022, at about 3:30 PM, deputies responded to the 600 block of Commercial St. in Monroe for a hit and run. Deputies contacted a male who stated he was driving his daughters Mazda 3 for the last few days and noticed new damage the previous night.
TAMPER W/ EVIDENCE; WARRANT ARREST - On August 28th, 2022, at around 6:22 PM, deputies located Michael Konkolis, 35, working on a Black Lincoln Navigator. Deputies knew Konkolis had an active warrant for his arrest and contacted him at the vehicle. They advised him of his warrant and placed him in handcuffs. While taking him into custody they observed a small bag of methamphetamine at his feet. The bag was later weighed and determined to be 1.54 grams, a violation amount. Konkolis was issued a citation on his warrant, issued a criminal citation for tampering with physical evidence, and also issued a citation for the violation amount of methamphetamine.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On August 28th, 2022, at around 4:21 PM, deputies were disptached to contact a resident regarding a theft. She reported that she owns a flower stand near HWY 34 and Decker Rd. Someone broke the metal money box off the stand causing damage.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; WARRANT ARREST - On August 26th, 2022, at around 11:30 PM, deputies stopped Michael Dennis Moore at HWY 223 MP 25. Moore did not have a license or any form of ID on him and was arrested for failing to carry or present a license. They later learned Moore also had a warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for Contempt of court. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody for failing to carry and present a license, and for his warrant. He was additionally issued traffic citations for DWS violation, driving uninsured, and failing to register his vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 08/23/2022 at approximately 9:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on HWY 34 near milepost 37 in Alsea. A male hit a deer with his 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with unknown injuries. The motorcycle was left at the scene with the property owner`s permission.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, August 14, 2022, at about 8:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Bellfountain road and Bruce Road. They arrived to find a Honda motorcycle off Bellfountain road, north of Bruce Road. The rider stated he was going north and came to the intersection. He was taken by Corvallis Fire Department to the hospital due to his injuries. A friend loaded his motorcycle into a truck and was taken from the scene.
BURGLARY 2 - On August 14th, 2022 at around 5:21 PM, deputies responded to the 3200 block of West Hills Rd for a cold burglary. They arrived on scene and contacted a resdient who told deputies he had gone out to his workshop behind his residence and discovered someone had stolen the marjority of his shop tools.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On 08/27/2022 at approximately 2:47 pm, deputies responded to a Trespass in the 6000 block of NW Independence HWY. They located an adult male and female on the property who were told to leave and not return without written permission from the owner. The subjects used to live at the property but it is vacant currently.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 08/27/2022 at approximately 07:35 hours, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 223 and Cardwell Hill Drive for a Trespass. They contacted Elizabeth Bridges, 61, of Keizer, who was in a camper on the private property. Bridge’s boyfriend left on foot prior to their arrival when he heard Deputies were on their way. Bridges was issued a citation in lieu of custody for Reckless Burning and Trespass II. The male co-conspirator has not yet been identified. Both subject are transients from Marion County en route to the coast.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 26th 2022 at about 12:20 pm, deputies made contact with William Barker, 26, in the lobby of P&P at the LEC. Barker had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Philomath Muni Court. The warrant was confirmed through Philomath PD and he was cited to appear and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 26, 2022, at 2:15 AM, deputies attempted to stop Casey Lanphear, 34, on NW Kings Boulevard near NW Fillmore Avenue for no bike light. Lanphear ran from deputies, ditched his bike, and attempted to hide in an apartment complex. Deputies located Lanphear and cited and released on three confirmed warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 25th, 2022, at around 6:25 PM, deputies stopped a red Geo Prizm sedan near 212 N 12th Street. The driver, Tarah Hyre, 34, had an active Albany Municipal Court Warrant for Theft. She was subsequently cited and released on her warrant. Hyre was also issued traffic citations for driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured, and failing to register her vehicle.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On August 25, 2022, at around 6:00 pm, deputies contacted a group of individuals fishing at Takena Landing Park, Albany. They later arrested Travis Rictor, 32, for Failing to register as a sex offender. Rictor was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 24, 2022, around 1:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 22700 block of Rock Creek Road, Philomath, for a found bumper/license plate. The caller reported a whole bumper had been left at the water treatment plant. He found this suspicious because nobody was supposed to be up there. The Oregon license plate belonged to Aramark Uniform Services. He told deputies Aramark was allowed to be on the property and that he would contact them. There was no obvious damage anywhere around the water treatment facility so it is unclear how the bumper fell off. There does not appear to be anything criminal at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday 8/24/22 around 10:15 am, CALDWELL, John David, 29, was arrested on a warrant for his arrest out of the Albany Municipal court. Jail deputies filled out a release agreement and had Caldwell sign it and he was then released from the jail.
WARRANT ARREST – On 08/22/2022 at approximately 10:05 hours, deputies arrested Alvaro Ayala, 31, in the 200 block of North 9th Street in Philomath. Ayala had a full extradition warrant out of California. Ayala was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS - On August 22, 2022, at around 1:31 AM, deputies were northbound on HWY 20 near MP 1 when they observed a dark-colored vehicle with obstructed rear Washington license plates and blue headlights pass them traveling in the opposite direction. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Christopher Kosack, 46. Kosack was suspended misdemeanor and was cited in lieu of custody. Additionally, he was issued traffic citations for driving uninsured, failing to register his vehicle, and illegal alteration or display of plates.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 23, 2022, at around 6:45 pm, deputies contacted Jeremiah Wolford, 42, near Michael`s Landing, Corvallis. They later issued Wolford criminal citations in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Possession of a restricted weapon and a statewide warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for FTA-UUV
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 22, 2022, at about 10:32 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W at NW Ryals Ave in Adair for a non-injury traffic crash. Vehicle 1, a 2017 white, Mercedes GLE 350 was stopped on NW Ryals Ave at Highway 99W. Vehicle 2, a 2003 green, Subaru was stopped on NW Arboretum Rd at Highway 99W. The Subaru began to drive across Highway 99W and the Mercedes turned left onto Highway 99W, striking the driver side of the Subaru. The Subaru was driven from the location. The Mercedes was towed due to damage
MAIL THEFT - On August 22, 2022, at about 7:33 am, deputies spoke with a resident by phone to report sometime the previous night, an unknown subject(s) opened his mailbox in the 27100 block of Old River Rd and stole his mail. He stated his wife located the mail about ¼ mile down the road. Some of the mail had been opened and thrown into the ditch. Deputies responded to the area and drove Old River Rd south to the county line. They located and collected three piles of mail thrown into the ditch. Some of the mail had been opened. They identified 8 victims from this mail. It appeared the suspect(s) stole from mailboxes on Old River Rd, Noraton Rd and McMullen Ln. Deputies also observed numerous mailboxes along this route that had been left open. Deputies sent the mail to a postal inspector to investigate.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/22/22 AT 1:55 PM, CABELLERO, CEASAR, 29, WAS CITED ON AN ALBANY MUNI WARRANT FOR FTA INTERFERE. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON CABELLERO WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On 08/21/2022 at approximately 11:00 P.M., deputies stopped a black Honda Civic driven by CHRISTOPHER JAMES KOSACK, 46. KOSACK had four active, confirmed warrants. He was cited and released from the scene.
FELON POSS BODY ARMOR - On August 20th, 2022, deputies arrested ADRIAN NATANEAL BECERRA, 30, of Salem, for felon in possession of body armor and unlawful possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Highway 223
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, August 19, 2022, at about 11:20 PM, deputies contacted Michael Ridders, 50, at Takena Landing Park, Albany. They informed Michael he had a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant for Criminal Trespass 2. They issued Michael a citation for his warrant and issued him a new court date.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 18, 2022, at about 8:27 a.m., deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Dr near NW Buena Vista Rd. A 2007, gray, Ford, Focus was in the ditch on the south side of NW Springhill Dr. The vehicle was unoccupied and marked with Sheriff`s Office tape. Deputies later contacted the driver of the vehicle and stood by with him until a tow company removed the vehicle
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On August 14th, 2022 ,at about 7:10 am, deputies responded to a report of a rollover crash on Maxfield Creek Road and Pit Road in the Kings Valley area. The driver complained of being sick to his stomach but had no other injuries. He also said he had a late night and had fallen asleep while driving, woke up, and overcorrected, leaving the roadway and rolled his car over on its side onto a tree
THEFT 3; THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On 8/18/2022 at around 7:54 PM, two females entered a Monroe business and gathered several items in a basket. They approached the clerk to check out and brought several Visa cash cards to have money put on them. The clerk ran 3 of the cards for $500.00 each as cash when one of the females use a different cash card to purchase them. The cash card company called the store to get more information and told the clerk the card the females were using was fraudulent. The females left the store with around $22.00 of misc. items from the store that was not purchased. They left in a white SUV they had parked around the corner. The cash card company voided the 3 cards for $500.00 each.
WARRANT ARREST - On 08/03/22 Morris, Morgan, 38, of Pendleton, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Benton Circuit warrant for FTA PCS. Morris was cited and released with a new court date.

WARRANT ARREST - On August 8, 2022, at about 4:30 PM, deputies responded to the Parole and Probation Office for a client with a warrant. Deputies contacted Mary Chadwick, 31, who had two confirmed cite and release warrants for her arrest. Chadwick was issued citations in lieu of custody for both
ELUDE VEHICLE; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, August 6th, 2022, at around 1:15 am, deputies attempted to stop a Silver BMW for speeding near Highway 20 and Milepost 39. The vehicle eluded but was later located in Philomath.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 VANDALISM - On August 7, 2022, at about 6:00 PM, deputies responded to the 7500 block of NE Logsdon Rd for a criminal mischief complaint. A resident stated that her son had severe mental health problems and rammed through the metal gate at the entrance to her property in order to save her in one of his delusions.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES - On August 14, 2022, at about 6:33 p.m., Benton County Sheriff`s Office Marine Deputies were dispatched to the area of Michael`s Landing on the Willamette River for a missing person. There were a group of non-motorized boaters and inner tubers that put in the river at Willamette Park, and were taking out at a house just north of Corvallis. However, a 15-year-old male did not get out of the water with the group and was last seen near Crystal Lake Boat Launch with his in a black tire inner tube. Deputies searched the area and we were notified at about 7:15 p.m., that his mother called, and said the juvenile had got out at the Spaghetti Factory and walked home.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 2 - On Sunday, August 14, 2022, at about 1:07 p.m., deputies were contacted by a resident to report a burglary and theft from her detached garage in the 3200 block of NW Wishram Drive, Albany. She reported someone stole her Ryobi brand 40V electric weed eater, battery and charger. She said the weed eater was stolen out of her unlocked garage by unknown suspects during the last few days, but possibly within the last few weeks or month.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On August 7, 2022, at around 05:33 am, deputies were dispatched to a traffic accident near 7300 NW Springhill Drive. A resident called the Sheriff`s Office to report she had hit a deer while driving to work and the animal was still alive.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On August 4, 2022, at 5:43 AM, deputies responded to multiple reports of an impaired driver traveling westbound on Highway 34 towards Corvallis. Upon arrival, deputies observed the suspect vehicle traveling 90 miles per hour and passing vehicles unsafely. They stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver Alenezi Yazeed, 27, for Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 3, 2022, at about 12:20 p.m., deputies were driving on Philomath Blvd near SW 35th Street and responded and provided medical aid until medics arrived on scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, July 31, 2022, at about 11:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 20 near MP 7. They arrived to find Car 1 hanging its front passenger tire off the road. The driver stated she tried to turn around but did not see the edge of the road. There was no significant damage to the car and deputies pushed the car back onto the roadway. She was able to drive the car way under its own power.
WARRANT ARREST - On 7/22/2022, at approximately 9:15 am, BEERS, Mark, 64, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a FTA warrant for Theft 3. Beer`s warrant was a cite only warrant and a new court date and time was given.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 8/22/22, AT 1:55 AM, CABELLERO, CEASAR, 29, WAS CITED ON AN ALBANY MUNI WARRANT FOR FTA INTERFERENCE. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON CABELLERO WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 2022, at 4:23 AM, deputies contacted Stephen Garr, 27, of McMinnville, at Highway 99W and McFarland Road in Monroe. Garr had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of the Oregon State Parole Board, Assault II, No bail. Garr was lodged at the Benton County Jail on the warrant.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On August 18, 2022, at approximately 11:35 pm, PAWLEY, Lora, 35 reported to the front lobby doors of the jail to turn themself in on a warrant for Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct II, and Philomath Municipal Court Warrant for FTC DUII, bail 5,000. Pawley was issued a Benton County a new court date due to the Jail`s closure status.  PAWLEY was authorized release for the Philomath Muni Court matter with a new court date and released from the front lobby doors.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 18th, 2022, at around 7:30 pm, deputies observed Robert Lewis, 50, riding his bicycle eastbound near 5500 SW Philomath Blvd. Dispatch advised had an active warrant for his arrest for FTA Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Deputies stopped Lewis at 5500 SW Philomath Blvd and he was provided a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 17, 2022, around 1:30PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident about a suspicious circumstance involving a small child sitting on top of a vehicle. She reported her landlord observed a silver or grey truck leave a business in the 6800 block of West Hills Road, with a child sitting on top of the cab of the truck. Deputies were not able to make out a license plate number, or any other discernable features about the vehicle from the photos and video sent to them. There is not enough information to locate a suspect at this time.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, August 15, 2022, at about 2:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Fern Road to investigate a report of suspicious activity. A resident reported a neighbor had seen an unknown individual walk onto his property. Deputies searched the property with him and found an abandoned camp, but no one was present. Deputies advised him to post No Trespassing signs on the access gate to the property and to report any additional suspicious activity.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On August 8th, 2022, @ approximately 9:13 am, RIIHIMAKI, Zachary, 24, turned himself into the jail on a warrant for FTA UUV, Unlawful Possession of Meth. A new court date and time was given to appear.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On July 27th, 2022, at approximately 919 AM, McPartlan, Michael, 27, turned himself into the jail on a warrant for FTA Assault in the fourth degree, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct. Deputies issued McPartlan a new court date and time to appear.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - At 3:48 WHITTIER, NOELLE CHRISTINE, 28, reported to the Benton County Jail. Two warrants were located for unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and Theft II through Benton County Circuit Court, along with a warrant for contempt of court through Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Whittier a new court date and time and the warrants were cleared. Whittier signed two release agreements and was released from the jail.
LITTERING – On August 15, deputies responded to Losen Road in Monroe for a littering complaint. Vehicle headlights and tail lights, along with an air compressor and scrap wood were left along the side of the road. None of the items had identifiable markings and appeared unusable. The items will be disposed of by the property owner.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 15, 2022, at about 1:41 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Decker Rd, east of Decker Ridge Rd. Upon arrival, deputies observed Edward Lee Shaw lying on the road near his crashed motorcycle. An investigation on scene showed the rider was eastbound on Decker Rd. As he attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve in the road, his motorcycle crossed the fog line and left the roadway. He lost control as he corrected back onto the road and laid the bike down on its right side. The rider was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital due to his injuries.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 1 - On August 15, 2022, at about 10:00 am, a resident reported a burglary that occurred in the 17000 block of Lobster Valley Rd. The burglary occurred sometime between 8/12/22 and 8/15/22. The unknown suspect(s) stole multiple items including chainsaws, weed eaters and gas.
CRIMINAL MISTREATMENT 1; ASSAULT 4 - On Sunday, August 14, 2022, at approximately 7:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 17800 block of Highway 34, Alsea, for a report of an assault that had just occurred. SAMUEL CLAYTON WOLFF SR, 42, was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on charges of Criminal Mistreatment I and Assault IV.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT – AN FTA WARRANT FOR DWS OUT OF UMATILLA COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, BAIL/20000-00, WAS LOCATED WHILE JACOB LUNDAHL, 35, WAS IN CUSTODY IN BENTON COUNTY JAIL. A HOLD WAS PLACED FOR ISSUING COUNTY.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON AUGUST 12, 2022, AT APPROXIMATELY 1:30 AM, DEPUTIES CHECKED WANTS FOR RISLAND, DUSTY LEE, 34, WHILE IN CUSTODY. ONE WARRANT FOR ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT, CITE AND RELEASE, APPEARED. A COURT DATE WAS AUTHORIZED AND RISLAND WAS RELEASED ON THIS WARRANT.
DUII - On August 9, 2022, at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies stopped Marcus TRISDALE, 51, on Thornton Lake Dr near Scenic Dr for Improper Left Turn and Failure to Maintain Lane. TRISDALE had slurred speech and an odor of an alcoholic beverage. TRISDALE admitted to drinking. TRISDALE consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Marcus TRISDALE for DUII. I transported TRISDALE to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office and was later released to a family member.
DUII - On August 6th, 2022, at around 10:37 PM, deputies responded to a non-injury crash near 2500 Sulphur Springs Rd. Upon arrival, deputies determined Jacob Griffith, 26, had crashed his vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants. He was subsequently arrested and was released to the custody of a family member a short while later.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - At approximately 8:30 am, Aug 5th, 2022, JEFFREY-PEARCE, Lucas, 35, reported to the Benton County Jail on a warrant for failure to report as a sex offender. Deputies issued JEFFREY-PEARCE a new court date. He signed a release agreement and was released from the jail.
UUV - On Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at approximately 8:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 37900 block of Alexander Road, Philomath, for a report of a stolen vehicle. The resident’s grey 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid was stolen from the location. The vehicle was located in Polk County the following morning.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 12, 2022, at around 9:45 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2005 Volkswagon Jetta in Takena Landing Park. They later issued Christopher Ledford, 47, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Interfering with making a police report.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 12th, 2022 at around 3:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to BLM (Bureau of Land Management) road #10 for an injury crash. They contacted driver 1 and learned they were traveling towards HWY 34 on BLM Road #10 when they rounded a corner and collided with a gravel dump truck. An occupant complained of pain in his wrists and believed it to be broken, however, declined medical attention.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On August 11, 2022, at about 11:00 P.M., an unknown white male with a yellow 3-wheeler was observed standing at the back fence in the 100 block of South 9th Street in Monroe. He fled when the resident turned on his back porch light and came outside. The vehicle fled west on Main Street and went up past the water tower on Commercial Street and came out on Shady Oak Drive, where he lost sight of it. This has been an ongoing issue with this male on the 3-wheeler.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On August 11, 2022, around 10:30 AM, deputies were driving northbound on Highway 99 W, near Finlay Road. They observed a motorcycle driving towards them, southbound on Highway 99 W, at a high rate of speed. Deputies activated their front-facing RADAR and saw the motorcycle was traveling at 119MPH. There was one white male on the black sport-style motorcycle wearing a black helmet, with a tinted shield covering his face. Deputies attempted to catch up to the motorcycle and gave up after about two minutes, as they did not have a visual on the motorcycle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 10, 2022 at about 3:40 pm, deputies observed two vehicles pulled off on the east shoulder of HWY 20 near Granger. The vehicles had been involved in a traffic crash. Driver 1 was traveling eastbound on HWY 20 approaching Granger when she observed 4-5 vehicles coming to a stop in front of her. As she slowed down to stop, driver 2 crashed into the back of her vehicle. Driver 2 stated he was traveling about 35 mph and briefly looked out the passenger window. When he looked back at the road, he was unable to stop before running into driver 1. Deputies issued driver 2 a citation for DWS-Violation and following too close. Driver 2’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to damage.
HARASSMENT AGGRAVATED - On Sunday, July 31, 2022, at approximately 7:23 PM, patrol deputies responded to 190 4th St, Corvallis Benton County to take a report from BCSO jail deputies. While providing meal service, Jon Tilles, 60, threw a cup containing his feces at jail deputies, knocking over a cup of water and splashing feces and water on both of them. Tilles was arrested for Aggravated Harassment for knowingly propelling feces on public safety officers acting in the course of their official duties.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 12, 2022, at around 12:50 am, deputies contacted an occupied black Ford Focus that was parked behind Trader Joe`s. They later issued Morgan Smith, 20, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3rd degree. Deputies confiscated an illegally displayed license plate.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 11, 2022, at around 6:21 pm, deputies contacted Johely Morelos, 28, while she was seated in a silver 2012 Chevrolet Impala at Takena Landing Park. They later issued Morelos a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On August 11, 2022, at about 9:20 a.m., deputies received a report of a hit and run that occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the Benton County Fairgrounds. No suspect information.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 10, 2022, at around 7:15 pm, deputies observed a black 2003 Acura TL driving with no front plate in Takena Landing Park. They later issued the driver, Angelique Martinez, 43, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for Probation violation - Identity theft.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 10, 2022, at around 5:40 pm, deputies contacted an individual fishing near Michael`s Landing, Corvallis. They later issued Dena Buttram, 39, criminal citations in lieu of custody for a Clackamas County Circuit Court warrant for Fail to appear - Theft III, a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for Contempt of court, and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On August 10, 2022, at about 8:43 am, deputies arrested Natalie Aislinn Roberts, 33, for a confirmed no contact release agreement preventing her from contacting a resident in the 2300 block of Primose Loop. Deputies transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On August 10, 2022, at about 6:50 a.m., deputies responded to 120 NW 4th Street for a report of a trespass in progress. Deputies contacted a sleeping female and told her to move along.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On August 6, 2022, at about 4:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of Depot Street for a report of a suspicious person parked at that location. They spoke with a male who said he was waiting for daylight to drive and had permission from the owners to do so.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Friday, August 5, 2022, deputies spoke with an Alsea woman who reported that someone was attempting to use her identity to collect money from others via text message. After documenting the information that she provided, deputies advised her to remove her personal contact information from a website.
MINOR IN POSS OF LIQUOR - On Friday, August 5, 2022, deputies responded to the Benton County Fair Grounds at 110 SW 53rd Street, Corvallis, for a report by fairgoers, of a minor consuming alcohol in the parking lot near the rodeo gate. Deputies located and detained three juveniles with a case of alcoholic beverages. One juvenile was arrested and cited for minor in possession of alcohol and released to his legal guardian.
DUII; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at about 7:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Highway 223 for a reported hit and run crash. They located the suspect vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost 43 and later arrested the driver, Angelo Edward Garza, 24, of Monmouth, for DUII after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Garza was cited and released to a sober friend at the Philomath Police Department.
THEFT 3 - On August 1, 2022, at about 3:48 pm, a resident reported a WA-plated van came onto her property and possibly stole around 60 lbs of blueberries. Deputies found the van was associated with a couple out of Springfield. One admitted to going onto Wilt property looking for pallets. While on the property he took a handful of blueberries, 10-15. Deputies discussed the case with the resident and decided they would work the issue out without further law enforcement assistance.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On July 28, 2022, at around 11:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to Maxfield Creek Road near the county line for a possible motor vehicle accident. They located a 2000 Chevrolet Impala on Maxfield Creek Road inside Polk County. A 17-year-old driver said he swerved to miss hitting a deer and drove into the ditch. He called his parents who arrived to pull the car out of the ditch with a pickup truck. No injury was reported.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at approximately 8:45 AM, deputies contacted a driver, who reported a hit and run motor vehicle collision at Camp Adair Road and Highway 99. She reported substantial damage to the front of her vehicle and stated the driver of the other vehicle involved, a large white flatbed truck, drove away without exchanging information with her.
THEFT 1 - On August 8, 2022, at about 3:26 p.m., deputies spoke with a resident in the lobby of the Sheriff`s Office. He purchased what was supposed to be one hundred, uncirculated, United States, Silver Eagles. The coins are counterfeit and are of little value. The company involved has closed the website and the location of the company is unknown.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 7, 2022, at about 5:15 PM, deputies responded to the area of SW Airport Rd and Highway 99W for a single-vehicle motorcycle crash. They spoke with the rider, who stated that after he turned westbound on SW Airport Rd after traveling southbound on Highway 99W his motorcycle malfunctioned and he crashed. He stated he believed it was a clutch issue and he had been working on his motorcycle. Deputies observed that he appeared to have some trauma to his collarbone and scrapes from road contact. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 7, 2022 at about 1:15 PM, deputies stopped a green Chrysler 300 with no license plate, on Excor Road just off of Highway 34 in Linn County. They identified the driver as Dylan Jaymes Johnston, 30, from his Oregon Identification Card and arrested him for a Probation Violation - DUII warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 6th, 2022, at about 2:20 pm, deputies made contact with Angela Marie Reid, 47. Dispatch advised that Angela had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Benton County. The warrant was for FTA on a Family Offense/Endangering the Welfare of a minor. The warrant was confirmed and authorized cite and release. I cited Angela to appear and she was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 5, 2022, at around 11:00 pm, deputies contacted Kevin House, 37, while he sat in a parked car on 1st Street behind a downtown hotel. Deputies later issued House a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Probation violation - Theft 3.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 5, 2022, at around 8:07 pm, deputies contacted Tonie Athill, 34, at the Benton County Fair. They later issued Athill criminal citations in lieu of custody for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for Probation violation, a Corvallis Municipal Court warrant for Fail to appear - Damaging property, and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt.
POSS METH; WARRANT ARREST - On August 1st, 2022, at about 2:00 AM, deputies observed a vehicle, which displayed expired registration tags. They stopped the vehicle for the violation in the 1800 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis and subsequently identified one of the passengers, Kayla Smith, 22, who had two warrants for her arrest and heroin paraphernalia in her pocket.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, July 31, 2022, at approximately 9:00 PM, deputies ran a license plate check on a green Honda Accord with illegal tinting on the front driver`s side and passenger side windows in the parking lot of 655 North Albany Road NW, Albany, Benton County. They discovered the last interaction with the vehicle involved Willard Madarus, 64, who had active warrants. Deputies identified the driver as Madrus and arrested him on his active warrants. Madarus was cited in lieu of custody for Contempt of Court, Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor, Probation Violation, and Failure to Appear on Criminal Citation.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, August 6, 2022, at about 7:40 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 99 north of Elks Drive. Driver 1 was traveling north on Highway 99 in a blue semi-truck and trailer. As he attempted to turn west into a farm field, he struck a northbound black GMC Yukon that was attempting to pass him on the left. Both drivers were uninjured and neither vehicle required a tow.
THEFT 3 - On August 5, 2022, around 1:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24600 block of Stovall Lane, Philomath, for the theft of a license plate. The caller reported the front license place of her 2012 Subaru Forester had been stolen at some point in the past two days. She said she was not sure who would have taken the license plate, but the crime occurred within the past two days. She advised she had already removed the remaining license plate, and was planning on returning it to the DMV.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, August 5, 2022, at about 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 north of Dawson Road. A silver GMC Sierra, towing a travel trailer, had stopped on Highway 99 behind a garbage truck. A black Volkswagen Jetta, then stopped behind the GMC. A black Ford F150, then struck both other vehicle from behind when it was unable to stop in time. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 5, 2022, around 8:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highland Drive and Lester Avenue, Corvallis, for a motor vehicle crash. The driver told deputies he was at the stop sign on Lester Avenue, waiting to turn left. He said he attempted to turn left onto Highland Drive and did not see the other vehicle until it was too late. He said his view of the roadway was obstructed by the crest of the hill, just north of the intersection.
DUII - On August 5th, 2022, deputies arrested JAMESON JOSEPH FISHBACK, 25, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants after a traffic crash on Bellfountain Road about one half mile south of Airport Road.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 4, 2022, at around 7:00 pm, deputies contacted Kimberly Green, 51, of Silverton, at the Benton County Fairgrounds. They later issued Green a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for Probation violation - Identity theft.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 4th, 2022, at around 7:00 pm, deputies assisted Marine Patrol Deputies with taking custody of a wanted subject named Trevor Jones, 28. Jones had two cite and release Benton County Circuit Court warrants for identity theft and theft in the second degree. Jones was cited and released at the Corvallis Skate Park.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On August 4, 2022, at around 6:27 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Angler`s Access Pond parking lot at EE Wilson Wildlife Refuge for a report of UEMV. They met with the caller, who said the window of his 2019 Subaru Crosstrek had been broken and his backpack had been stolen. The crime occurred between 2:30 pm and 6:20 pm. No current suspects.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On August 4, 2022, at about 2:00 a.m., a vehicle was broken into while he worked on the Highway 20 construction project near 7151 NE Highway 20, Corvallis. His wallett containing cards, ID and $200 to $300 in cash was stolen.
POSS METH (LESS THAN 2 GRAMS); WARRANT ARREST - On August 4, 2022, at around 12:17 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white 2004 Buick Rendezvous near Scenic Rd/Highway 20. They later issued passenger Ryan Gray, 36, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for Theft 3. Gray was also issued a BM-110 citation for Possession of meth.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 3, 2022, at around 7:30 pm, deputies contacted Adam Willers, 42, of Tacoma, and Eric Pinnell, 28, of Myrtle Creek, at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Dispatch informed and confirmed that both individuals had warrants. They later issued Willers a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a Clackamas County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to appear - Contempt of court x 2. They then transported Pinnell to Linn County Jail for warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court, Lane County Circuit Court, and Marion County Circuit Court for Failure to appear - UUV.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; LITTERING - On August 3, 2022, at about 8:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of Orchard Street and arrested Kayla Faye Brooks, 27, of Junction City, for Criminal Trespass II and Offensive Littering after a call from the resident. She was cited in lieu of custody.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On August 2, 2022, at around 7:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25200 block of Blackberry Lane for a report of criminal mischief.
PERSON < 21 POSSESSING/PURCHASING MARIJUANA; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, August 1, 2022, at about 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of reckless driving on McFarland Road near Alpine Road. Deputies spoke with the driver, Chase Delan Gallegos, 19, and arrested him for the above crimes.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Sunday, July 31st, 2022, at 11:10 p.m., deputies responded to 525 NW Monroe St, Corvallis, for a trespass complaint. Kimberly Barnes, 51, reached through a resident’s window and tried to steal a blanket. She was issued a citation for Attempted Theft II, and Criminal Trespass I.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, July 31, 2022, at approximately 3:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle collision with no injuries on Mary`s Peak Road near milepost 9. Upon arrival they observed a black Ford truck with its rear wheels off the road. A tow company assisted the driver with getting the vehicle off of the shoulder.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On 07/31/2022, at approximately 4:16 pm, deputies responded to a crash at SE 3rd Street and Corliss Avenue. Two vehicles were involved in a crash. Both drivers exchanged information. There were no injuries and neither vehicle was towed due to damage.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 30, 2022, at approximately 2:05 PM, deputies identified Jeffrey Charles as a passenger while performing a traffic stop at 1900 SW 3rd St, Corvallis. They arrested Charles on multiple warrants and transported him to the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On July 26, 2022, at about 10:13 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on Highway 99W near MP 102. Both vehicles were northbound on Highway 99W while a wide load half mobile home was southbound. Vehicle 2 slowed and pulled to the right shoulder abruptly to avoid the southbound vehicle. Vehicle 1 was traveling behind vehicle 2. Vehicle 1, rear-ended Vehicle 2, as it slowed and pulled to the shoulder. Both vehicles continued beyond the shoulder eventually coming to rest into trees and utility poles.
DUII - On July 18, 2022, at around 12:17 PM, deputies contacted a man sleeping in his vehicle near Circle Blvd and Walnut Blvd, parked in front of a no parking sign. Upon contact, they identified Oliverio Medina-Peres, 44, of Turner, asleep in his vehicle. They observed numerous empty beer cans, a strong odor of beer, and visual observations of impairment. Medina-Peres woke up and attempted to reverse his vehicle before placing it back in park and deputies took the keys out of the ignition. Medina-Peres was subsequently arrested for DUII.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, August 1, 2022, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury crash at Highway 99 and Robison Road. Driver 1 was traveling north on Highway 99 when he had to stop rapidly to avoid colliding with a pickup truck in front of him that was turning west onto Robison Road. Driver 2, directly behind driver 1, was unable to stop in time and struck driver 1 from behind. Both vehicles were disabled by the crash.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, July 31, 2022, at about 8:00 am, deputies arrested Danielle Nicole Smith, 44, at her home in the 2700 block of NW Independence Highway on a felony Benton County Circuit Court warrant for fraud and other crimes. Smith was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 30, 2022, at approximately 8:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash into a ditch on Highway 34 at Grange Hall. The vehicle drove through the intersection from Grange Hall Rd and into the ditch on Highway 34. When deputies arrived, a witness said the suspect vehicle had just left westbound on Highway 34 and the driver was intoxicated. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. There was no noticeable damage to the ditch.
DUII - On July 29, 2022, at 2:30 AM, deputies stopped Leanna Renne Mitchell, 20, of Eugene, on NW Fillmore Avenue near NW Kings Boulevard in Corvallis for Improper Display of a License Plate. They later arrested Mitchell for DUII after determining she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 28, 2002, at approximately 6:30 pm, Anthony Deavila, 21, turned himself in to the front lobby of the Benton County Jail on a warrant for Theft II. Deavila met release criteria and was released with a new court date.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 07/28/2022 at approximately 09:30 am, deputies responded to the area of Highway 501 MP 5 for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they contacted a female who was intoxicated. An investigation revealed she crashed the night before and wasn`t able to call for help until morning. While waiting for help she consumed a significant amount of box wine. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by medics.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On July 26, 2022 at about 8:57 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash at NW Independence Hwy and NW Palestine Ave. Vehicle 1 crashed into vehicle 2 as she attempted to pass in a no passing zone. Deputies issued her a citation for unsafe passing on left.
WARRANT ARREST - ON JULY 24, 2022 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:30 PM RILEY, LISA, 57, TURNED HERSELF IN AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL FOR A BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING, RECKLESS ENDANGERING, BAIL/ 3000-00. LISA WAS RELEASED FROM THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, July 24, 2022, at approximately 8:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Camp Adair Road near Highway 99W for a suspicious object. The caller reported finding what appeared to be the body of a child wrapped in a sheet, in the brush near the archery range on Camp Adair Road. Deputies arrived and examined the object and determined it was a sex doll. Deputies notified the people who had seen it and they were relieved. Deputies later folded up the doll and disposed of it.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On July 23rd, 2022, at about 6:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to a crash involving a combine harvester and a passenger vehicle on Granger Ave at about milepost 1 from the Hwy 99W side. When deputies arrived, they saw two combine harvesters, a small white car, and a green work truck, carrying an air compressor on a small trailer. The small white car was in between the work truck and the front combine harvester. The combine harvester had a rub mark from the right side of the white vehicle and other than that, no damage. All the drivers were out of their respective vehicles waiting for law enforcement response. Deputies learned that the driver of the small white car was trying to pass the two combines and ran into the left front tire of the front combine.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING - On July 23, 2022, at about 5:30 PM, deputies responded to the area of Sulphur Springs near the saddle for a stranded hiker. He became exhausted and stranded on the Patterson Rd connecting Sulphur Springs to Oak Creek via a hiking trail. Deputies drove to his location, gave him water, and took him home. He reported that he misjudged the hike; it was his first time. He didn`t need medical attention.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On July 22, 2022, deputies responded to a disturbance that occurred in the 300 block of N 8th Street in Monroe. Two children had been playing in the street, recording each other riding bicycles. Jane Elizabeth Bryce, 65, became upset the children were recording her. Bryce took the phone from one of the children and smashed it on the ground. Bryce was cited for Criminal Mischief II.
DUII - On July 21, 2022, at approximately 2:50 AM, deputies stopped Hao YU, 27, for suspicion of DUII. Deputies could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from YU. YU admitted to drinking one beer. YU consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Hao YU for DUII. At the Benton County Sheriff`s Office YU submitted a complete breath test and then deputies gave YU a ride home and released him.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 072022, AT APPROXIMATELY 4:40 AM, MIANO, RICHARD, 57, WAS CITED AT THE JAIL ON A WARRANT FOR FTA POSS RESTRICTED WEAPON, OUT OF ALBANY MUNI. MIANO WAS ISSUED A NEW COURT DATE.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 2 - On July 3, 2022, around 7:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 2100 block of Oak Grove Drive, Albany, for a burglary. The caller reported a mountain bike had been stolen from an outbuilding on the property while she was gone camping. She reported her neighbor saw a suspicious vehicle leaving the residence while she was gone. The mountain bike is described as a white Trek with black lettering and is valued to be around $500.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On July 30, 2022, at around 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident for a reported theft. The male said his a Starfire 6000 receiver and a controller/monitor had been stolen from one of his farm tractors while it sat in a farm field near the intersection of NE Granger Dr and NE Pettibone Dr. The equipment is valued at around $16,000. No current suspects.
DWS FEL - On July 30, 2022, at around 11:33 am, deputies contacted two individuals in a silver 1998 Dodge Durango while it was parked at Takena Landing. They later issued David James Lewis-Tedford, 43, a criminal citation for driving while suspended-felony.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On Friday, July 29th, 2022, at 6:04 p.m., deputies took a report in the 5500 block of NW Hwy 99W, Corvallis, for the theft of a Kubota tractor, which was stolen within last four days. There are no known suspects.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On July 28, 2022, I contacted Ryan Jay Arvan on Old River Road near West Ingram Island Road south of Monroe. Arvan ran out of gas while driving a 2008, black Nissan 2dr with California plates. Scrape type baggies were visible in the vehicle along with foil and marijuana pipes. No quantity of controlled substances were located within the vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at about 11:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 37200 block of Mary`s River road for a single-vehicle crash involving a log truck. They arrived and located a pickup towing a travel trailer off the roadway. Deputies arrested the driver, Karisa Jane Sturgis, 50, for a probation violation warrant out of Linn County and seized a shotgun which was placed into safe keeping. Karisa was cited and released from the Law Enforcement Center.
POSS METH - On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at about 1:10 am, deputies stopped and spoke with Joni Dawn Tilson, 44, who was walking east on Highway 34 near SE Ireland Lane. As they were speaking with Tilson, she attempted to conceal a bag of methamphetamine in her bra. Deputies arrested Tilson for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. The bag Tilson was carrying had a total package weight of 14.25g and the material inside tested positive for methamphetamine. Tilson was cited and transported to her home in Albany.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Sunday, July 24, 2022, at about 12:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to an attempt to locate on a vehicle for erratic driving north on Highway 99W near milepost 104. They stopped the 1999 white Ford Ranger for Failure to Maintain Lane. The driver, Luis HERRERA CARRASCO, 52, was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving and was issued a traffic citation for Failure to maintain Lane. Luis was provided a courtesy transport to his home in Elmira.
DWS MIS; ILLEGAL ALTER/DISPLAY PLATE; FAIL TO REG VEHICLE - On Sunday, July 26, 2022, at approximately 2:00 PM, deputies observed a gold Honda sedan driving south on SW 3rd Street, Corvallis, with expired vehicle registration tags and initiated a traffic stop near SW 3rd Street and Kiger Island Road. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that the license plates were not associated with that VIN of the vehicle. The driver, Bradley Damewood, 42, of Wilsonville, was cited for Illegal Alteration or Display of Plates and the license plates were seized.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at about 10:15 A.M., deputies arrested Brian David Torres, 26, for a Failure to Appear - DUII warrant out of Marion County. Brian was cited and released with a court date. Warrant Information: Marion County Circuit Court, FTA- DUII, $80,000.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, July 25, 2022, at about 10:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of a single-vehicle crash on SW Airport Avenue near Peterson Road. Deputies responded to the area and were unable to find any signs of a crashed vehicle. They spoke with one of the reporting persons who told deputies the vehicle likely left before they arrived. She said she has seen a tan-colored pickup truck in the area revving its engine, sliding on the nearby gravel road, and driving in a reckless manner. She could not provide any additional description of the pickup truck. Deputies searched the area and did not find a vehicle matching her description.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 27, 2022, at around 1:14 pm, deputies were dispatched to Good Samaritan Hospital to arrest Christopher Helton, 49, for Benton County Parole & Probation on a State Parole Board warrant for Assault, and two Benton County Circuit Court warrants for Failure to perform duties of driver and Giving false information to peace officer.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On July 27, 2022, a male was called in as a suspicious person on Vineyard Mountain. Deputies contacted him and subsequently took him to 7-11 on 9th Street and bought him some food to get him to an area where it was safer for him to walk.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On July 21, 2022, at about 2:51 P.M., deputies contacted Angela Filip, 25, near the Jackson Frazier wetlands in Corvallis. Filip had 10 confirmed warrants for her arrest. She was cited and released with new court dates.
WARRANT ARREST - On 07/19/22, Withnell, Sam, 38, of Coos Bay, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on an FTA DWS warrant out of Benton Co court. Deputies confirmed the warrant through dispatch and then served the warrant on Withnell.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 25, 2022 at about 10:08 am, deputies were dispatched to Mary`s Peak RD near MP 1 for a report of a single vehicle non injury rollover crash. A driver was southbound on Mary`s Peak Rd at an estimated 30 mph. He failed to negotiate a sharp left-hand bend in the road and crashed down into the steep west ditch. The vehicle came to rest driver`s side up against several trees. The driver contacted a tow company to remove the vehicle from the ditch.
THEFT 2 - On Sunday, July 24, 2022, at approximately 12:45 PM, deputies contacted a resident regarding his report that his former roommate had left his own and taken a modem belonging to him and another resident during the service of a restraining order and subsequent move out standby in the 1800 block of SW Brooklane Drive, Corvallis. They will arrange an exchange of the modems in a manner that doesn`t violate the restraining order.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at approximately 1:45 PM, Deputies observed a white 2011 Ford Focus eastbound on Highway 20 near Springhill Drive, Albany, Benton County. They recognized the driver as Zachary Williams, 31, and were aware of a warrant for DUII for Williams. Deputies confirmed the warrant, stopped Williams, arrested him, and issued a citation in lieu of custody for his outstanding warrant.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On July 23, 2022, at around 12:10 pm, deputies stopped a black 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driving with a plate that belonged to another vehicle. They arrested passenger Edwin Cadena Jr, 32, of Salem, for an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for Parole Violation, a Yamhill County Circuit Court warrant for FTA DWS, and Providing false information to a police officer. They also arrested passenger Melina Mejia, 31, of Salem, for Marion County Circuit Court warrants for Parole Violation, Failure to appear - Unlawful use motor vehicle, Failure to appear - False info to police officer, and Providing false information to a police officer. Cadena and Mejia were transported to the Benton County Jail where they were lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 22, 2022, at around 1:36 pm, deputies contacted Eric Simmons, 48, of Scio, in a blue 2002 Suzuki XL7 while it was parked at Takena Landing. They later issued Simmons a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Using a motor vehicle for sleeping.
DUII - On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at about 3:50 am, deputies stopped a blue 2006 Kia Optima after watching it make an unsignaled lane change and an unsignaled turn onto Monroe Avenue near 4th Street. They later arrested the driver, Jeremiah Jerry Rawland Wolford, 42, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Wolford was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at about 10:00 pm, deputies arrested Pablo Martinez-Pacheco, 50, at his home in the 26400 block of Bellfountain Road on a Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for Felony Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Martinez-Pacheco was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged pending arraignment.
WARRANT ARREST -On Monday, July 11, 2022, at about 2:50 AM, deputies contacted a female in North Albany Park while she was in a pickup sleeping. Deputies informed the female she was trespassing and asked for her information. Deputies learned Charlene Johnson, 45, had two warrants through Albany Municipal Court and Linn County Circuit Court. Albany Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt of Court and FTA - Fail to Register as a Sex Offender. Charlene was issued citations for the warrants and left the park when asked.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 9, 2022, at about 9:24 p.m., deputies responded to Monroe Telephone Company for a report of a person who had been laying at the front doors of the business. Deputies contacted Ezra Donovan Haddon, 18, who requested a ride to Eugene. Deputies transported him to Eugene where they confirmed his Lane County warrants for FTA Criminal Trespass II and FTA Criminal Trespass I. He was lodged at Lane County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - ON JULY 8, 2022, GARY BUNSON, 63, WAS IN CUSTODY AND CITED ON A FTA WARRANT OUT OF LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT PRIOR TO RELEASE. SUBJECT WAS RELEASED ON LOCAL CITE.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, at 9:30 p.m., deputies responded to the area of NW Independence Hwy and NW Metge Rd, Albany, Benton County, for a single-vehicle crash. This was a single-vehicle crash into a ditch, swerving to miss an animal, no damage to the vehicle, no injury, and not reportable to DMV. The vehicle was towed from the ditch and was able to be driven away from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at approximately 6:12 PM, deputies were dispatched to 200 NW 53rd Street, to a report of JEFFREY ALAN PEARCE, 44, being there after having been trespassed. While en route they located multiple warrants for JEFFREY`s arrest. JEFFREY was cited and released on three confirmed warrants and then left the property voluntarily.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at approximately 4:14 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Mountain View Drive for report of an injury crash. They learned a 1996 Honda Accord was traveling south on Highway 99W when she left the roadway to the right for an unknown reason. The driver traveled approximately 100 yards off the roadway before her vehicle came to rest against a fence. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with injuries and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
DUII - On Monday, July 18, 2022, at about 2:45 am, deputies stopped a white Volkswagen sedan on Kings Boulevard near Buchanan Avenue for repeatedly failing to drive in its lane. They later arrested the driver, Devon-Eric Arthur Lee, 38, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Lee was processed through the Jail and released.
DWS MIS - On July 17th, 2022 at around 3:47 pm, deputies observed Curtis Dorman, 19, driving a silver Chrysler 300 and made a traffic stop at 200 NW 53rd Street. Deputies knew Dorman was misdemeanor suspended. Additionally the registration was expired, as well as the insurance. Dorman was cited in lieu of custody and also cited for driving uninsured and for failing to register his vehicle.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On July 17, 2022 at about 9:38 am, deputies stopped Micah Benham Russell, 36, of Independence, on HWY 99W near MP 72. Dispatch stated Russell was suspended Misdemeanor and had a warrant for his arrest. Dispatched confirmed the Coos County Circuit Court cite and release warrant for DUII, $10000 bail. Deputies issued Russell a citation for the DUII warrant and a citation for DWS Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 7/16/22, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING TO FORCE RELEASE ANTONIA CODDINGTON, 32, DUE TO OVERCROWDING WHEN THEY LEARNED CODDINGTON HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO CIRCUIT. THEY SERVED THE WARRANT ON CODDINGTON WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On July 15, 2022, deputies responded to Highway 99W at about MP 102, south of Monroe for a two vehicle traffic crash. A red Volkswagen was northbound on Highway 99W. A Ford F-150 was in the southbound lane attempting to turn left into his driveway. The Ford turned in front of the Volkswagen causing the Volkswagen to hit the Ford and then end up in the east ditch of Highway 99W. The driver of the Ford F-150 was issued citations. The Volkswagen was towed from the scene.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, May 14, 2022, at about 4:30 AM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Peoria Road, near Milepost 1. Aaron Clemmer, 42, of Sweet Home, was arrested and lodged at the Linn County jail on three Linn County Circuit Court warrants and issued citations for confirmed Albany and Lebanon Municipal Court Warrants as well as a criminal citation for Driving While suspended Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, July 18, 2022, at about 1:50 am, deputies spoke with the occupants of a green Dodge Neon that was parked in Takena Landing Park at a time it is closed to the public. They later arrested the passenger in the car, Michael Jay Baker, 34, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court. Baker was cited and released at the request of the Albany Municipal Court.
ASSAULT 4 - On Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 2:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Brownly Heights Drive, Corvallis, for a report of an assault. James McCoy, 31, got into a physical fight with another resident. James was arrested and transported to Benton County Jail.
DUII - On July 16, 2022, at 2:18 AM, deputies stopped Grant Webb, 24, of Turner, on Van Buren Avenue near 3rd Street in Corvallis for driving the wrong direction on a one way road. Deputies arrest Webb for DUII after they determined he was impaired.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, July 8th, 2022, at 6:22 p.m., deputies responded to the 28300 block of Irish Bend Rd, Monroe, for a trespass complaint. The property owner reported there were subjects that trespassed on his property to gain access to the river. Deputies located the Kyle Riron, 33, and issued him a citation for Criminal Trespass II.
DUII; DWS MIS - On Monday, July 11, 2022, at about 10:25 pm, deputies stopped a blue 2005 Honda Civic in the 26400 block of Bellfountain Road after watching it repeatedly leave its lane of travel. They later arrested the driver, Pablo Martinez Pacheco, 50, for misdemeanor driving while revoked and DUII. Martinez Pacheco was cited and released.
DUII - On Sunday, July 10th, 2022, at about 4:20 am, deputies stopped a blue 2004 Toyota 4runner on Highway 20 near milepost 7 for driving 58 miles per hour in a marked 45 miles per hour zone. They later arrested the driver Jacob Garrett Donner, 24, for DUII. Donner was cited and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 12, 2022, deputies responded to a cold trespass in the 1800 block of NW Steele Ave, Corvallis. A resident reported a black male adult with a stocky build and blue eyes had been asked to leave his farm prior to their arrival. The male returned but later left again. Deputies located the male near the Jackson Frazier wetland and advised him he was trespassed from the location.
COMPUTER CRIME - On July 12, 2022, deputies spoke with a female regarding someone accessing her bank account via the Zelle application. Unknown person(s) were able to obtain $129.00, possibly in Texas. She was able to contact her bank and stop additional transactions.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 7/13/22, jail deputies learned Challe, Victoria, 38, had a warrant for failure to appear for Theft 3 out of Albany Muni. The warrant was served on Challe who was located at the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 13, 2022, deputies responded to a single vehicle, non-injury traffic crash on Tampico Road near Trillium Lane in Corvallis. Vehicle 1 was traveling east on Tampico Road when a westbound vehicle drove near the center of the road. The driver of vehicle 1 drove towards the shoulder to avoid the other vehicle and ended up off the roadway, rolling his vehicle. The driver and his vehicle were moved by a private party.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On July 14th, 2022, at approximately 6:48 am, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the 3800 block of SE Kiger Island Drive in Corvallis. There was a red van parked on the property that a resident wanted to have removed. A female was found in the van and asked to leave.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, July 14, 2022, at about 8:35 A.M., deputies arrested Colin Levi Reeves, 26, in Monroe. Colin had multiple confirmed warrants out of Albany and Benton County. Colin was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
BURGLARY 2 - On Sunday, July 10th, two suspects trespassed at a residence on Seavy Ave in Corvallis. A set of Ford F-250 keys, and a 4.5 Gal. Dewalt air compressor were stolen from a shed behind his house. There is no footage or suspect information.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 7/16/22, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING TO FORCE RELEASE ANTONIA CODDINGTON, 32, DUE TO OVERCROWDING. THEY LEARNED SHE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO CIRCUIT FOR FTA PCS METH, NO BAIL. SHE WAS ISSUED A NEW COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 15, 2022, at about 2:50 P.M., deputies arrested Renee Ann Demichel, 45, of Bellingham, WA, for a Philomath Municipal Court warrant. Renee was driving slowly on Lilly Hill Road with no license plates on her vehicle when deputies stopped her. They issued Renee a citation with a new court date and time.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED; IDENTITY THEFT - On July 15, 2022, at around 11:40 am, deputies were dispatched to the LEC Lobby for a report of fraud. A male reported that he was convinced by people over the internet claiming to be CenturyLink employees to deposit $26,000 in cash to a Bitcoin ATM located at the US Market in Corvallis. No current leads or suspects.
CONTEMPT OF COURT - On July 15, 2022, at around 9:12 am, deputies contacted an orange 2020 Chevrolet Spark at the North Luckiamute Landing Natural Area. They later arrested Christopher Munsey, 35, for Contempt of court for violating a no-contact release agreement. Munsey was transported to Linn County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On 7/8/2022 at approximately 2:30 pm, Joshua McCaslin turned himself into the front lobby at the Benton County Jail. Mr. McCaslin, 44, had a Cite to Appear Warrant for Burglary in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree. He was given a court date and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 7, 2022, deputies arrived at the area of 6th Street and D Street, Corvallis, and spoke with several people. They contacted Chancellor Wise, 31, hiding in a camper trailer. Wise had two confirmed warrants for his arrest out Lincoln County and the Oregon State Parole Board. Wise was transported to the jail where he was booked and lodged. During this encounter, Wise represented himself as an undercover police officer multiple times.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, Stephenson, Daniel J, 41, along with his attorney, turned himself into the Benton County Jail in Corvallis on two warrants for his arrest. Stephenson filled out a release agreement to appear in the Benton County Circuit Court at a later date.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 27th, 2022, at approximately 7:56 am, De Mers, Timothy Henry, 64, reported the jail and was cited on a warrant for contempt of court DUII. De Mers was issued a new court date.
THEFT 3 - On July 13, 2022, at about 12:41 pm, a resident reported an unknown suspect stole a black wire mesh crawdad trap. The trap was placed in the Marys River near the trestle bridge at the end of Cardwell Hill. She stated the trap had her shellfish ID# written on it in silver ink. The trap was valued at $25 and was stolen sometime on 7/9/22
IDENTITY THEFT - On July 12, 2022, at about 11:43 am, deputies spoke with a resident by phone, who reported sometime between July 6-10, an unknown subject opened a line of credit at Bank of America using her personal information. She received an alert from her home bank informing her of the situation. She ran a credit report and confirmed the fraudulent account. She placed a freeze on her credit information and was in the process of contacting Bank of America to dispute the account.
IDENTITY THEFT - On July 12, 2022, deputies spoke with a resident regarding a fraudulent credit card that was opened up in her name. She was notified by her bank that a card was opened under "TD retail card services" and was a "bloom card" or something similar. She was given no details on who or where this card was opened. She notified her banks and the fraud protection services she is aware of.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On Monday, July 11, 2022, at about 10:55 pm, deputies contacted Joshua Ikechukmu Osuji, 23, in the south parking lot of the Benton County Fairgrounds. Osuji was later arrested for violating a no-contact order. Osuji was transported to and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
LITTERING - On Monday, July 11, 2022, at approximately 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of NW Highland Dell Drive, Corvallis, for a report of a littering violation. A resident reported that he found furniture and garbage dumped on his property. He said he would dispose of the waste himself.
SEARCH AND RESCUE - On Sunday, July 10, 2022, at about 9:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to assist a floater on the Willamette River, near Willamette Park. Deputies located a female on a large gravel bar in the middle of the river. They provided her with a ride back to shore and ensured she needed no further assistance.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; DWS MIS; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - Deputies observed a dark silver Chrysler 300 pass them while they were sitting at the intersection of 5th and Commercial, Monroe, and saw the vehicle had no lighting in the rear of the vehicle. As soon as they were behind the vehicle, it sped away before their emergency lights were on. The front-facing RADAR gave a readout of 94MPH in the 45MPH zone on the north side of Monroe. Because the vehicle had no lighting in the back, deputies terminated the pursuit after losing sight of it after a few miles. Another deputy located the vehicle and stopped it on Payne Road. The driver of the vehicle, Curtis William Jack Dorman, 19, was cited for Elude (ORS 811.540), Reckless Driving (ORS 811.140), Reckless Endangering (163.195), and Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor (ORS 811.182). Deputies issued a traffic citation for Violation of the Basic Rule (94MPH in a 45MPH zone ORS 811.10) and for Operating Without Required Lighting (ORS 816.330).
WARRANT ARREST - On July 8, 2022, at around 3:06 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a gold 2004 Buick Rendezvous at Takena Landing. A rear passenger was identified as a missing juvenile, who also had a warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear - Assault 4. Deputies later transported the juvenile to the Oak Creek Correctional Facility where he was lodged.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE; WARRANT ARREST - On July 5, 2022, at around 12:27 pm, deputies observed a man not wearing a helmet, riding a rose gold-colored moped on the bike path near Philomath Blvd and 35th Street, westbound. They were unable to stop the man at that time, but at around 1:41 PM, located the moped at 658 Main Street. Deputies contacted the male they had seen driving it. The man identified himself as Corey Jones but they determined that was hot his true identity. He was placed under arrest and determined his real identity was Jacob Allen Moffatt, 36 of Sweet Home. Moffatt had 6 warrants for his arrest and was also out of compliance on his sex offender registry, and had 3.3 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and booked for his warrants and local charges. The following day deputies learned from CPD that the moped was reported stolen by the owner. A CPD officer told deputies he contacted Moffatt at the jail and charged him with the crimes related to their case.
ASSAULT 4 - MIS PUBLIC SCHOOL - On May 9, 2022, at about 10:35 AM, deputies were dispatched to an assault at Crescent Valley High School. Deputies arrived and staff informed that two students had got into a fight while on school grounds. One juvenile was issued a citation for Assault 4 and provided a court date and time.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On July 8th, 2022, at approximately 11:24 pm, deputies responded to a hit and run in the 7200 block of Northwest Lathrop Lane, Corvallis. Deputies were unable to contact the driver of the suspected vehicle. The Ford was towed from nearby the registered owner’s address pending contact of the registered owner. They later located Matthew Corcoran, 37, who was cited and released for Criminal Mischief.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER- PROP DAMAGE - On Friday, July 8, 2022, at approximately 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 6400 block of NW Concord Drive, Corvallis, for a report of criminal mischief occurring at 9:40 AM on July 8, 2022. The resident reported the incident after observing their community pump house`s power go offline after sustaining heavy damage.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 8, 2022, at 5:10 AM, deputies stopped Robert Lafollette, 40, on Philomath Boulevard near the Oregon Department of Transportation in Corvallis for Improper Position on a Highway. Lafollette was cited and released for two warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 7, 2022, at 10:44 PM, deputies stopped Samantha Denton, 31, after they observed them entering Avery Park after hours. Denton was cited and released for a Philomath warrant.
RESISTING ARREST; ESCAPE 3; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On July 7th, 2022, Joseph Lehman, 39, was cited for Disorderly Conduct in The Third Degree, Escape in The Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest. Lehman was walking down the center line of Highway 20 Milepost 42 causing cars to slow down and drive around him.
BURGLARY 1; THEFT 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at approximately 8:17 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Scenic Drive NW, Albany, for a report of a burglary, which had occurred. Deputies met with a resident who showed them her front door to the residence which had a broken door jamb where it appeared the door had been kicked in. She said she had been out of town until the time she called dispatch and there is no suspect information. Numerous items including two laptops and multiple pieces of jewelry were taken.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 5th, 2020 at around 9:18 AM, deputies went out with a vehicle at Hyak Park. They identified the driver as Rachelle Rictor, 31, who had 3 Benton County Circuit Court warrants for FTA Assault IV, FTA Child neglect 2, and FTA Theft III. Rictor also had a cite and release Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft III. Rictor was cited in lieu of custody by request of the jail due to insufficient space at the Benton County Jail.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, July 4, 2022, at about 10:25 pm, deputies stopped a white 2017 Kia Soul, for failure to yield right of way. They later arrested the driver, Cameron Allen Johnson, 22, of Eugene, for DUII after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Johnson was released to a sober friend at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On July 4th, 2022 at around 2:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of HWY 99W and Gruerber Lane for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, they learned that a silver Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound. The vehicle drifted out of its lane of travel at HWY 99W near Gruerber Ln and collided with the rear driver side of a brown 1990s van. The driver sustained what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, but was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Corvallis Fire Department. Both vehicles were towed.
BURGLARY 1 - On Monday, July 4, 2022, at approximately 2:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible burglary in the 22900 block of Hoskins Road, Philomath. Two doors in the residence were opened, but it appeared there was no access to the rest of the house from those rooms. One door was damaged and a padlock had been torn off the door. The house was vacant and there was no one in the immediate area.
DUII - On Monday, July 4, 2022, at about 1:30 am, deputies saw a gray 2015 Honda Pilot parked in the parking lot of 4900 NW Highway 99. They spoke with the driver, Dalton Robert Ulrich, 19, who told deputies he had stopped to adjust his music while driving from a friend’s house to his home in north Corvallis. Ulrich appeared impaired and deputies later arrested him for DUII. Ulrich was cited and released.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On July 3rd, 2022 at around 12:50 PM, Gary Mercier, 55, was arrested by deputies at 148 N 8th Street in Philomath for violating a restraining order. Mercier was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
DUII - On Sunday, July 3, 2022, at about 2:20 am, deputies saw a black Toyota Camry drive into Takena Landing Park from North Albany Road when the park was officially closed. They later arrested the driver, Jeffrey Scott Adams, 42, of Lebanon, for DUII. Adams was cited and released.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING – On July 2, 2022, around 1:00 AM, deputies were on patrol, in a marked patrol vehicle, in the area of Camp Adair Road and Independence Highway. As a vehicle passed they saw the vehicle had no working license plate, violating ORS 816.330, Operation without required lighting equipment. Deputies cited a juvenile driver for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangerment.
MAIL THEFT - On 7/2/2022 at around 6:15 PM, deputies arrived in the 4600 block of NE Elliott Cir for a mail theft complaint. A resident stated he has the USPS application on his phone and it showed he should have received several pieces of mail that day and he did not. He contacted the appropriate companies about missing mail. Deputies advised him to keep an eye on his credit bureaus in case someone tried to open an account in his name.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 5:00 PM, deputies observed a white pickup eastbound on SW Avery Avenue, Corvallis, with a front license plate that was unreadable due to damage. The driver had two warrants from Coos County Circuit Court for Contempt of Court. Robert Talbott, 39, was cited and released in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 3:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 34 at milepost 50. Upon arrival, they observed a white sedan on its roof in a ravine off the north shoulder of a sharp corner on Highway 34. The vehicle`s engine was cold, and they were unable to locate the driver or any occupants of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed and a hold was placed on its release.
DOG BITE - On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident regarding a report of a dog bite that occurred on June 28, 2022, in the 24400 block of Settlers Lane, Junction City, Benton County. She reported that while her children were at the location for a summer camp session, her son was bit by a dog. The dog bite was documented and reported to Benton County Health Department and the dog was quarantined.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 2nd, 2022 at around 11:29 AM, deputies responded to what was initially dispatched as a rollover single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries at HWY 99W near milepost 89. Upon arrival, they determined the driver had rolled her 2015 Honda CRV several times but was miraculously not injured at all.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; WARRANT ARREST - On July 2, 2022, at around 10:30 am, deputies observed convicted felon Terry Herbert, Jr, 45, walking in Takena Landing Park with a butterfly knife in his hand. Deputies later issued Herbert criminal citations in lieu of custody for Possession of a restricted weapon by a felon and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 2nd degree.
DWS MIS - On July 1st, 2022 at about 7:45 pm, deputies stopped Shannon Damewood, 40, at South 9th Street and Applegate Street for failing to use her seat belt while driving and expired tags. Dispatch advised that Damewood was DWS-Misdemeanor through Oregon DMV. Damewood was cited to appear in court and was released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 07/01/2022 at approximately 11:23 am, deputies responded to a non-injury crash at the intersection of HWY 20 and Brumfield Lane. A small sedan was traveling west on HWY 20 when she struck a vehicle that stopped on the highway. The vehicle that was rear-ended was a Toyota SUV, yielding to oncoming traffic at a driveway entrance. Before he could turn off HWY 20 he was rear-ended. There were no injuries reported and only the sedan was towed due to damage.
WARRANT ARREST - On 6/30/2022 at around 3:00 PM, deputies stopped Kristin Hiatt, 43, of Springfield, in a vehicle for expired plates. Hiatt had a confirmed warrant for FTA-Traffic Offense out of Lebanon Municipal Court. The vehicle had a BOLO out of Linn County Sheriff`s Office for a vehicle break-in and several thefts. Deputies issued Hiatt a citation for the warrant, and one for DWS-VIO and Driving uninsured.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at approximately 4:54 PM, deputies arrested GARY WAYNE MERCIER, 55, for violating an active restraining order. Mercier was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 26, 20222, around 10:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 25300 block of Cherry Creek Road, Monroe, for a possible disturbance. Christopher Scott Engle, 39, had an unconfirmed Assault 4 warrant out of Benton County. Engle was cited and released for his warrant.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE – On Saturday, June 25, 2022, at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a white sedan with expired registration stickers in the 2400 block of NW 9th Street, Corvallis. The driver, Ehriz D Johnson, 47, did not have identification, vehicle registration, or insurance, and the license plates did not match the VIN associated with the car. The license plates were seized and Johnson was cited for failure to carry or present license, driving uninsured, and illegal alteration or display of license plates.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On June 24th, 2022 at about 2:48 pm, deputies attempted to catch up with a white sport-type motorcycle rider when he passed by, southbound on south 3rd Street near Park Street. Deputies clocked the rider traveling 100 mph in the 30 mph zone. Minutes later with help from the public, they were able to locate the rider in the 3300 block of S Charlotte Place, Corvallis. Deputies cited the rider, Horace Michael Leake, 21, for Attempt to Elude, Reckless Driving, Violation of the Speed Limit, 100 mph in a 30 mph zone, and expired tags. He was issued citations and was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 20th, 2022 at around 4:48 PM, deputies were driving south on Jackson Street near 9th street and contacted Taylor Miskie, 30, of Jefferson. Miskie had three active warrants for his arrest. The first was a Corvallis Municipal warrant for a franchise requirement. Two additional warrants out of Corvallis Municipal Court for Failing to appear on a criminal citation, and for failing to appear on a Criminal Trespass II charge. Miskie was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody on his warrants.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On June 20th, 2022 at around 11:30 AM, deputies made a traffic stop on a black Nissan Maxima. The driver identified himself as Robert Frank Snipes, 52, during the stop. He was issued a criminal citation for Fail to Carry and present a license and issued a traffic citation for operating a vehicle without a required license. Deputies later determined the man had provided a false name and his real identity was Barry Page. Page had a state-wide felony warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for failing to appear on a forgery first-degree charge. Page also had two Lebanon municipal warrants for contempt of court and for failing to appear on a criminal citation. Page`s license was also suspended violation. Deputies located Page the following day where he was taken into custody and booked at the Benton County Jail.
LITTERING - On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at approximately 7:30 AM, deputies met with an OSU employee who said some unknown person had dumped some garbage at the 000 Gate on Tampico Road near the Polk county line. There was a USPS label to a woman in the garbage. Deputies contacted her by phone who had been out of town for the last three weeks and she had no idea how her mail had ended up on the dump site.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On June 29, 2022, at around 1:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to 200 NW 53rd St, for a report of criminal mischief. Property managers reported that Jeffrey Pearce, 44, had angrily-damaged a water main as he was attempting to pack up his RV. Deputies later issued Pearce a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Criminal Mischief in the 1st degree.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 29, 2022, at around 12:04 pm, deputies contacted Brian Warzinik, 43, who they had seen walking near NW Monroe Ave and 25th St. They later issued Warzinik a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Criminal Trespassing 2nd degree.
THEFT 2 - On 06/29/2022, a female called to report her ex-husband vandalized her car window with a paint pen. Additionally, he is suspected of having stolen a gray and orange 300.00 valued paddle-board. She is in the process of applying for a restraining order this week.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On June 29th, 2022, deputies contacted four females in a car, on Blake Drive near Highway 99W after they ran a stop sign and then pulled in behind them. The females were advised they were being recorded. They ranged in age from 16 to 17 years old, and were all supposed to be home at a sleepover together in North Albany. They had started to smoke a small marijuana cigarette, which they willingly destroyed after deputies spoke with them about it. A parent was called, he responded and was briefed on the situation. He then escorted them back to his house where they were all staying the night.
RESISTING ARREST; WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, at 6:01 p.m., deputies responded to the 5500 block of SW Philomath Blvd, Corvallis, for a wanted to subject. Asa Williams, 36, was taken into custody on multiple felony warrants after resisting arrest.
DUII - On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at about 1:45 am, deputies stopped a green 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage on Highway 99 near Elks Drive for driving 67 MPH in a 55 MPH zone and failing to drive in its lane. They later arrested the driver, Grace Katherine Beatty, 23, for DUII. Beatty was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 25, 2022, at around 4:00 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a blue Chrysler 300 near NE Circle Blvd and Highway 99W. Trinity Mendez, 37, told deputies she was allowing her unlicensed and unpermitted son drive them to the park. Deputies later issued Trinity a criminal citation for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of Court, and a citation for permitting unlawful operation of vehicle. Deputies issued the son a citation for no operator`s license and driving uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, June 27, 2022, at approximately 10:45 AM, deputies observed a gray sedan driving outside of its lane on SE 3rd St, Corvallis. The vehicle pulled over on SW McKenzie Avenue. During the course of the stop, it was determined the passenger, Mary J Chadwick, 31, had an active cite and release warrant for Failure to Appear on a criminal citation out of Albany Municipal Court. Chadwick was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
DUII; DWS MIS - On Monday, June 27, 2022, at approximately 4:45 A.M., deputies were called to the trailer park at 200 Northwest 53rd Street after other residents reported that Jeffrey Alan Pearce, 44, had returned to the park in his motorhome. One caller reported that Pearce may have crashed into the dumpsters at the end of 3rd Street in his motorhome. Deputies later arrested Pearce for DUII and Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. Pearce consented to a breath test and urine test as well as a DRE evaluation. Deputies cited Pearce and released him to the Benton County Jail until he could sober up.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; DUII - On June 26, 2022, at about 6:00 p.m., deputies responded to Irish Bend Park for a report of a hit and run. They arrested Scott Kenneth Brooks, 34, of Junction City, for DUII, Reckless Endangering (x3) and Criminal Mischief I (x6). He was transported to the Junction City Police Department where he provided a breath sample. Four vehicles had to be towed from Irish Bend Park due to the damage.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at around 2:15 PM, deputies investigated an unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle at the Oak Creek trailhead, 8699 NW Oak Creek Drive. A female reported her vehicle had been broken into. The vehicle window was pried out and the property was stolen from the car.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 26, 2022, at about 10:42 am, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Hwy 20 near MP 5. A driver was westbound on Hwy 20 when he swerved to avoid a squirrel. His passenger side tires dropped off the edge of the shoulder and he crashed into a set of mailboxes. He arranged his own tow company to remove his vehicle due to damages
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at approximately 10:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to investigate an unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle in the 400 block of S 5th St, Monroe. A resident reported that her vehicle had been broken into and her cell phone was stolen. The vehicle window was pried out and property was stolen from the car.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On June 26, 2022, around 12:05 AM, deputies were on patrol in the area of Arnold Avenue and Highway 99, in Adair Village, when they observed a white Toyota Tacoma driving southbound on Highway 99. They watched the vehicle cross the center yellow line, as well as the fog line, violating ORS 811.370 Failure to Drive Within Lane. They arrested and charged Samuel Vasquez Monroy, 41, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.
DUII - On June 25, 2022, at about 7:30 p.m., deputies arrested Jami K Janssen, 32, for DUII at Highway 34 near Peoria Road. She did not provide a breath sample; a telephonic search warrant was granted and blood was drawn from Jami. She was lodged in Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On June 25th, 2022, at approximately 1:41 am, Chloe Jameson, 30, poured an unknown red liquid on the front steps of the courthouse. There was no property damage.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On June 23rd, 2022, at approximately 3:40 am, deputies stopped Krystal Hiner, 22, for failure to use lights. Hiner failed to present and carry identification. The vehicle was not in her name and was towed for further investigation.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On June 23rd, 2022, a male called to report Criminal Mischief when passing another motorist. The driver of the car he was passing opened their car door and something fell out and the caller drove over it. Damage to his car is approximately one hundred dollars.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at about 6:25 pm, deputies arrested Justin Scott Glasgow, 40, on a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear for DUII and Reckless Driving, $0.00 bail. Deputies issued Glasgow a criminal citation and released him.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 21st, 2022, at around 4:07 PM, deputies responded to HWY 99W and Stow Pit Rd for a single-vehicle non-injury crash. Upon arrival, deputies determined the driver was driving northbound and drove off the northwest side of HWY 99 W, approximately 100 yards south of Stow Pit Rd. He then overcorrected, crossed the highway, and went off the east side of HWY 99 W striking a large boulder. The driver was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured. His vehicle was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 21, 2022, around 3:50 PM, deputies were on patrol on Highway 99W, when they observed a pickup truck that appeared to be stuck in the ditch off the road, on Highway 99W, about a mile north of Elks Drive. They made contact with the driver who said he was attempting to make a u-turn and overshot the driveway he was trying to turn into. His tires were sunk in a little over a foot of mud. Deputies requested a tow truck, which arrived a short time later. His vehicle was drivable, and did not cause any property damage.
THEFT 1 - On June 20, 2022, around 7:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Highway 20, Philomath, for the theft of a bicycle. The caller reported his bicycle was stolen from him. He described the bicycle as a Trek brand, black in color, with white lettering. He said the bicycle had a gas motor on it that he had just installed on it. He said he did not have any serial numbers for the bicycle or the motor.
DUII; WARRANT ARREST - On June 18, 2022, at about 12:30 a.m., deputies located a truck hauling a trailer that had been reported stolen earlier in the night. They arrested Jeremiah Jerry Rawland Wolford, 42, for DUII, Linn County Warrant for Criminal Trespass II, Theft I and Mail Theft. He was cited and released.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On June 16th, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a Theft at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Mellissa Cornett, 35, of Portland, stole a pole for hanging flowers. Cornett was cited in lieu of custody for theft 2 and two counts of Criminal Mischief 2.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at approximately 11 pm, deputies spoke with a resident regarding a criminal trespass issue that occurred at his residence located in the 24600 block of Alpine Road. Tyvon McKay, 45, of Eugene, was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - ON 5/4/22, AT APPROXIMATELY 5:15 PM, FONGER, KYLER, 27, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE JAIL LOBBY ON A PROBATION VIOLATION WARRANT, PPS PCS HEROIN, NO BAIL. FONGER WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On June 26th, 2022 at about 5:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to a car in the ditch on Hwy 20 near MP 6. They responded and made contact with the driver. He told deputies he was westbound on Hwy 20 when the cars computer had a glitch so he turned the car off while he was traveling down the road and was attempting to re-start it when the steering wheel locked and he could not unlock it in time. The vehicle left the roadway and went in the ditch. There were no injuries.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On June 26th, 2022, at approximately 2:30 am, Chloe Jameson, 30, was arrested for two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree for pouring a red sticky liquid on the front door and steps of the courthouse.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 24, 2022, at around 1:19 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at NE Highway 20 near Milepost 4. Driver 1 was turning west onto Highway 20 from the Children`s Farm Home in her gray 2008 Toyota Camry when she caused driver 2, who was driving east on Highway 20 in a green 2013 Toyota Rav4, to swerve around in an attempt to avoid a collision. The Rav 4 struck the Camry and was then hit by a Republic Services garbage truck, traveling west on Highway 20. Injuries were apparently minor. Both Toyotas were towed and the garbage truck drove away under its own power.
DWS MIS - On June 23, 2022, at around 3:10 pm, deputies observed a gray 2003 Audi A4 drive into Avery Park. Deputies later arrested the driver, Daniel Williams, 25, for driving while suspended-misdemeanor. Williams was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. He was warned for driving without insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On June 23, 2022, at around 11:13 am, deputies observed a male walking on the railroad tracks near NW Ryals Ave and NE Arnold Ave. They later arrested the man and identified him as Tyrone Austin, 40, of Lafayette. Austin was issued a criminal citation for Criminal Trespass 1st Degree. They gave Austin a courtesy transport to Highway 99 Milepost 73 where they released him.
UUV - On June 23, 2022, at around 9:52 am, deputies were dispatched to the 37400 block of Moss Rock Dr for a report of a stolen vehicle. A resident reported that he discovered his modified 1996 Dodge R250 truck had been taken from his property between June 13 and June 23. The truck has a white cab and has been modified with a black dumptruck-style bed. The truck has Montana plates. No current suspects.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 23rd, 2022, deputies cited in lieu of custody Michael Bowen, 23, at Takena Landing Park for an outstanding warrant out of Brownsville.
DWS FEL - On June 22, 2022, at around 10:45 am, deputies contacted a silver 1998 Dodge Durango parked at the Luckiamute Landing State Natural Area. They later arrested the driver, David Lewis Tedford, 43, for Driving while suspended-Felony. Lewis Tedford was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
DUII; DWS MIS - On Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at approximately 10:40 P.M., deputies responded to the area of 5th Street and Mill Street for a motorcycle crash. Brandon Scott Trimble, 34, had crashed into the ditch while driving north. Trimble`s driving status was Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor as a habitual offender. Trimble consented to a blood test. Deputies cited Trimble for DUII and Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, June 20, 2022, at approximately 8:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Payne Road and Highway 99W for a report of Reckless Driving. They spoke with a caller who said a silver Scion with a Colorado License Plate had been driving erratically around them, and the passenger had partially climbed out the window and threw items that were on fire at their car. Deputies later contacted a man who denied this occurring. Deputies warned him for Trespass on Payne Road.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On June 19, 2022, around 6:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 4100 block of Crescent Valley Drive, Corvallis, for suspicious people in the reporting person`s driveway. The caller reported there was a group of four people standing at the end of the driveway, and they were unknown to her. The group of four people were Oregon State students, waiting for a ride after being lost on a hike.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 18, 2022, at around 8:00 pm, deputies observed a black 2001 Toyota Echo drive by with no visible rear plate. They later arrested passenger, Ryan Bourgond, 34, for four Benton County Circuit Court warrants for Failure to appear - Unlawful possession of methamphetamine, Failure to appear - Delivery of methamphetamine, Failure to appear - Criminal mischief 2nd degree, and Failure to appear - Unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Bourgond was also issued an E Violation citation for Possession of methamphetamine. Bourgond was transported to Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
THEFT 3 SHOPLIFT - On June 18th, 2022 at about 2:30 pm, deputies responded to the 200 block of S. 5th Street, Monroe, for a report of a male that walked out of a business without paying for a 6-pack of beer without paying. This occurred at about 2:12 pm. The total loss from the theft is $12.69. Staff followed the male to the parking lot and tried to get a license plate on the vehicle. The caller described the truck as being black, lifted and it had a head rack behind the cab. The white male was described as, 5`11" TO 6`0, 230-250 lbs, with clean-cut brown hair. The male got into the passenger side of the vehicle and the driver drove away. The caller tried to get the license plate, but not a full one. Deputies tried numerous combinations trying to find a vehicle matching that description but were unable to locate it
CRIMINAL TRESPASS W/ FIREARM CONCEALED; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; CARRY CONCEALED FIREARM - On Saturday, June 18, 2022, at approximately 12:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to an in-progress criminal trespass in the 28400 block of Robison Road, Monmouth. KIMBERLY A ROSENE, 55, of Junction City, was arrested for criminal trespass with a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, criminal trespass in the second degree, and was cited in lieu of custody.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, June 13, 2022, at about 3:00 am, deputies stopped a silver 2007 Chrysler Sebring on SW 3rd Street near SW Avery Avenue after watching it make an unlawful turn. They later arrested the driver, Rachel Anne Zmolek, 27, for DUII (Alcohol and Drugs) and Reckless Driving. Zmolek was cited and released. Zmolek`s Sebring was towed to a storage lot in Corvallis.
DUII - On Monday, June 13, 2022, at about 12:25 am, deputies stopped an orange 2012 Chevy Sonic for repeatedly failing to drive in its lane on Independence Highway near Metge Avenue. They later arrested the driver, Todd Alan Jacob, 51, for DUII. Jacob was cited and released. Jacob`s Sonic was towed from the scene to a storage lot in Corvallis.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at approximately 8:40 pm, deputies arrested Jeffrey Lee Allen, 62, of Portland, on Garrett Lane in Philomath. They issued him a citation for a failure to appear warrant out of Columbia County.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 6/21/22, DEPUTIES CITED COLLET, JAMESON, 40 ON A WARRANT FOR FTA THEFT I, NO BAIL, OUT OF LINN CO.
BURGLARY 2 - On June 21, 2022, at about 11:11 am, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 600 block of Pine St, Monroe. A caller reported an 11-year-old was attempting to break into the facility. Deputies contacted the boy and his mother and had a conversation with him and his mother about his life choices.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, June 20, 2022, at about 7:35 pm, deputies were dispatched to Kyle Road near Root Lane for a vehicle crash. They arrived and observed a silver 2003 Toyota Camry crashed in the west ditch. The driver, Katy Linn Steng, 31, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies later issued Steng a criminal citation for DUII and Reckless Driving and released Steng to hospital staff.
WARRANT ARREST - On 6/20/2022 at approximately 4:40 pm, Troy Hobans, 51, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail. On a Failure to Appear Warrant for Failure to Perform Duties of Driver-Property Damage. Mr. Hobans was given a new court date.
DWS MIS - On June 19, 2022, around 10:45PM, deputies were on patrol in a marked patrol vehicle near the intersection of Third Street and Lilly Avenue, Corvallis, when they observed a black town car style vehicle pass them. They saw the vehicle did not have any working license plate lights, violating ORS 816.330, Operating Without Standard Lighting Equipment. The driver, later identified as Christopher James Kosack, 46, was suspended at the misdemeanor level. Kosack was cited for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On June 19th, 2022, at around 7:11AM, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash, no injuries. They determined the driver was Sylvia Raygoza, 40, of Salem, who initally provided them a fake name. After learning Raygoza`s true identity, deputies learned she had a Parole Board warrant out of Lincoln County, and another felony warrant out of Marion County Circuit Court. Raygoza was transported to the Benton County Jail on her warrants and was issued a criminal citation for ORS.162.385 False info to a peace officer. The vehicle was towed.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On June 16, 2022, deputies were dispatched to contact a caller from the 4300 block of NW Circle Blvd, for a report of criminal mischief and trespassing. She reported that the security cameras captured a man removing a Black Lives Matter sign and placing it up near the front door at around 8:35 am on June 15. She reported a series of similar occurrences. No current suspects.
PROBATION VIOLATION - On June 16, 2022, deputies responded to the Salmonberry Campground for a disturbance. Whitney Rene Montgomery, 35, was later arrested for a Probation Violation through Linn County Parole and Probation. Montgomery was transported to the Lebanon Municipal Jail. Montgomery`s two minor children were transported to the Corvallis DHS Office to facilitate their return to a sober adult.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible criminal mischief incident in the 29000 block of Blake Road, Corvallis. A resident reported that someone had driven through his yard around his house on Monday, June 13, 2022. Upon review of videos that the resident captured, the driver was identified as BERNARD J SIERZEGA, who was arrested a few hours later for driving under the influence of intoxicants. FLETCHER reported no damage was done to his property.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 15, 2022, at around 2:24 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer at Highway 34 and Peoria Rd and later arrested Christpher Barreras, 41, of Sweet Home, for a Jackson County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear - Unlawful use of weapon. They also arrested Amand Plaugher, 24, of Sweet Home, for a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear - Assault 4. Plaugher was later issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. Barreras was transported to Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
DOG BITE - June 17, 2022 a dog residing in the 24100 block of Gellatly Way in Philomath was released from bite quarantine. The dog bit a neighbor who came to the front door on June 8, 2022.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE - On June 18th, 2022, at 4:27 pm, deputies made a traffic stop near 1740 Main Street. They contacted Jeremiah Cabe Conley, 44, who had an extraditable warrant out of South Dakota for Burglary. He was taken into custody and during a search of his person, located a pair of brass knuckles in his back right pocket. Conley is a convicted felon and is now unlawfully able to possess brass knuckles. He was transported to the Benton County Jail on his warrant and also charged with Felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
THEFT 1 - On June 17th, 2022, a resident reported his Haul brand white LT model 5`x9` trailer was stolen from the front yard of his residence in the 4800 block of NE Highway 20 in Corvallis. It was stolen between 11:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. on June 16th, 2022. He reported seeing his exact trailer being towed by a white 2012 or newer Ford F-250/350 heading off of Peoria Road onto Highway 34, then taking the Highway 20/34 Bypass heading westbound at about 10:33 P.M. He was out of position to follow it, and it was not located by patrol units in the area when it was broadcasted. Deputies later identified and arrested Jeremiah Wolford, 42.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; CARRY CONCEALED WEAPON; FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE - On June 17, 2022, at around 3:01 pm, deputies contacted the driver of a silver 2003 Honda CRV that was parked off-road and hidden in North Luckiamute State Park. They later arrested one of the occupants, Andrew W. Minford, 29, of Salem, for a warrant out of Thurston County Sheriff`s Office (WA) for Failure to appear - Burglary. Minford was transported to Benton County Jail where he was lodged. Minford was also issued criminal citations in lieu of custody for giving false information to a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon, and criminal mischief in the 3rd degree. The Honda was towed.
THEFT 1 - On June 17th, 2022, a resident called to report being scammed out of four thousand dollars after calling a phone number from an email she received about a breach of her Amazon account.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 16th, 2022, deputies arrested WHITNEY MONTGOMERY, 35, of Lebanon, on three outstanding Linn County area warrants after a disturbance at Salmonberry Campground in Alsea. She was cited in lieu of custody at the request of the issuing jurisdictions.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 6/15/22, TRONTVET, WEST, 32, WAS CITED AT THE JAIL ON A WARRANT OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT FOR FTA ID THEFT.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at approximately 7:30 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Highway 20 near milepost 34 for a gray 2008 Dodge Charger that was driving 82 miles per hour. A records check showed the driving status of the driver, PEYTON LEKOFF, 18, of Springfield, to be suspended misdemeanor. Deputies arrested LEKOFF and issued citations for Violation of Basic Speed Rule and Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
DOG BITE - On June 14, 2022, around 6:30PM, deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of Crystal Lake Drive, for a dog bite that had just occurred. The caller reported he was at the Crystal Lake Cemetery when a shepherd looking dog bit him in the leg, drawing blood. He said he was chasing a ball which was near where he was standing. He said the dog charged at him after the dog saw him, and bit him in the right leg. The dog owner identified himself as and said he gave him $40 dollars for new pants, since his jeans had been torn slightly.
POSS HEROIN; DUII - On June 13, 2022 at about 10:29 am, a caller reported a male in a gray minivan was slumped over his steering wheel on Highland near Crescent Valley High School. A few minutes later, the male woke up and drove off. Deputies located Jared Daniel Ohlhausen, 27, a short time later. Ohlhausen was arrested for DUII. He was issued a citation for DUII and Unlawful Poss 10g of Heroin.
WARRANT ARREST - June 13, 2022 at 4:48 AM, deputies stopped Joseph Alteri, 37, for no front plate on SW Hopkins Avenue near SE 3rd Street in Corvallis. Alteri was cited for Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured and Failure to Register Vehicle. Alteri was additionally cited on three confirmed warrants for his arrest.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at about 4:35 am, deputies stopped a bicycle on Highway 99 near Thousand Oak Drive for riding on the wrong side of the road. They later arrested the rider, James Darryl Stephen Jr., 40, of Portland, on a Linn County Justice Court warrant. Stephen Jr. was cited and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On June 12th, 2022, deputies responded to the area of Elliot Circle and HWY 99W for a likely UEMV after the caller observed a man running from a white vehicle with broken windows and entering a blue pickup with a canopy. Upon arrival, deputies located a 2019 Subaru Outback with the back hatch window broken, and the driver-side rear window broken. They contacted one of the registered owners and she responded to retreive the vehicle, which was left at that location after another driver was arrested for DUII.
DWS MIS - On June 12th, 2022 at around 6:45, deputies stopped a white Ford F-150 near 4400 HWY 20. They determined the driver, Daniel Sherrill, 47, was suspended misdemeanor for a past DUII. Additionally, Sherrill did not have any insurance. He was cited in lieu of custody for DWS Misdemeanor and issued a traffic citation for driving uninsured.
DUII - On June 12, 2022, at 2:32 AM, deputies stopped James Ordway, 50, on NW Tyler Avenue near NW 5th Street in Corvallis for no headlight, improper signal, and failure to obey a traffic control device. They later arrested Ordway for DUII after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Ordway was lodged at the Benton County Jail until he was sober enough to be released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 11th, 2022 at approximately 7:54 AM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Oak Creek Dr and NW 53rd Street for a single-vehicle traffic crash. The driver had a mild seizure which caused the crash. The vehicle was stuck but otherwise had minimal superficial damages that were less than 2500 dollars. A tow company arrived to remove the vehicle. The driver`s license had been suspended since 2013. He was cited for DWS Violation and was then picked up and given a ride by a coworker.
POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE) - On June 11, 2022, at 2:10 AM, deputies observed a 1983 Ford F350 parked on the south shoulder of Highway 20 near milepost 35 in Blodgett. Christopher Gerttula, 48, of Falls City, was sleeping in the driver`s seat and had a glass Methamphetamine pipe in his lap. Gerttula was in possession of more than two grams of Methamphetamine. Gerttula was cited for Misdemeanor Possession of Methamphetamine.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Friday, June 10th, 2022, at 9:06 p.m., a door-to-door salesman reported that a homeowner slammed a handgun down on a table and him to leave his house. He stated the homeowner did not point the gun at him or threaten him in any way. He stated this happened in the 6100 block of NW Happy Valley Dr, Corvallis.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On June 10, 2022, at around 2:19 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Highway 20 Milepost 5. The driver of vehicle 1 said she was driving east on Highway 20 in a black 2006 Chevrolet HHR when a black 2017 Toyota Tundra rear-ended her as she was stopped and waiting to turn into Garland`s Nursery.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 10, 2022, at 1:59 AM, deputies stopped Kevin Vaughn, 38, on Highway 34 at the Highway 34 Bypass in Corvallis, after he failed to obey a pedestrian control device. Vaughn had the below listed cite and release warrants. Vaughn was cited on both warrants and released: Albany Municipal Court, Theft II, No Bail; and Linn County Circuit Court, Failure to Appear/ Assault IV, No Bail.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 6/9/2022 at around 9:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident by phone about someone emailing him from Microsoft stating his computer was compromised and he needed to send money to them to fix it. He went to the bank and pulled funds to pay them, but realized it was a scam. He contacted his bank and told them about the scam and why he pulled the money from his account. Deputies recommended he take his computer and have it checked for viruses.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 9th, 2022, a resident called to report Emily Sherwood, 65, was trespassing at a golf club on Spring Hill Rd in Albany. Sherwood is no longer allowed to be on the property and had to move her car and RV.
DUII - On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at about 1:30 am, deputies stopped a white Hyundai Sonata on Circle Boulevard near NW Janssen Street after it made several unlawful turns. They later arrested the driver, Angel Sonato Toche, 22, for DUII. Sonato Toche was cited and released.
DUII; FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On June 11, 2022 at about 10:45 p.m., deputies located a domestic altercation in the roadway of Elliott Circle near Highway 99W. They arrested Camille Wilson, 34, for DUII. Deputies also arrested Carl Johnson, 36, for a Lebanon Muni Court Warrant. Camille was released at her home. Johnson was cited and released.
DOG BITE - On June 11, 2022, around 7:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of 2nd Street, Alsea, for a juvenile who was bitten by a dog. The juvenile was taken to the Emergency Room for stitches. The dog owner filled out the proper paperwork to quarantine the dog.
UUV; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On June 11th, 2022 at around 4:58 PM, deputies located a stolen 2000 Honda Civic. The driver, Michael Humphries, 40, was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Benton County Jail for UUMV and UEMV
DOG BITE - On June 11th, 2022 at about 10:00 AM, deputies responded to the Asbury building in the 3600 block of NW Samaritan Drive for a dog bite. A dog in the 24000 block of Highway 34, Philomath, bit a female. The required health department forms and quarantine forms were signed and submitted.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 14, 2022, deputies responded to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 99 near Alpine Cutoff Road. A tow truck swerved to avoid a vehicle in its lane and drove into a roadside ditch.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 12, 2022, around 5:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident about possible fraud. She reported she received a $5,000 check in the mail to buy a painting she had listed on Craigslist, and the sender was requesting she sent them money back in the form of gift cards or Bitcoin. She told deputies she had listed a painting on Craigslist for $4,000.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On June 10th, 2022, a resident called to report Criminal Mischief at Bellfountain County Park. He believes that this happened on May 30th, 2022. He reported men`s and women`s bathroom signs had been torn off, a toilet bowl damaged, a sink spigot bent, and a handrail damaged.
BURGLARY 2 - On June 9th, 2022, a resident called to report a burglary at his house. He reported that he noticed on June 9th that his painting was gone from his bedroom. The painting is black and blue with a red dot in the middle. Wirth values the painting at $500,000.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING – On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at approximately 12:02 AM, deputies were dispatched to perform standardized field sobriety tests during a traffic stop on Highway milepost at post 7. After administering field sobriety testing, deputies arrested and issued citations to ANDREW K WARREN, 21, for Violation of Basic Speed Rule, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, and Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 12th, 2022 at around 1:36 PM, deputies responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of HWY 99W and Ryals Ave. No injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at approximately 1:53 pm, WARZINIK, Brian, 43, was cited on a warrant at the jail for Albany Municipal Court; Trespass II; no bail. WARZINIK was released after having signed a release agreement which was forwarded to the court.
THEFT 2 - On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at approximately 4:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a male for a theft he reported in the 31900 block of Fern Road, Philomath. He stated that someone stole 10 tomato plants valued at $200 from his roadside stand. He described the person as an older heavyset white male, balding with grey and white hair and driving a silver Jetta Wagon with black steel rims.
MAIL THEFT - On June 8th, 2022, a resident reported a fraudulent address change through the United States Postal Service. She reported that she was having a package delivered and the forwarding address was changed without permission. She was able to catch this before the package was delivered and the package is being returned to her.
RESISTING ARREST; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 8th, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a trespass in the 1600 block of Nebergall Loop NE. Toron Ambrosius was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Resisting arrest. Ambrosius was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Albany and was cleared with no injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, at 9:55 p.m., deputies contacted Vicki Loving during a traffic stop near the intersection of NW Van Buran Ave and NW 4th St, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. Vicki had a confirmed warrant for her arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court. Deputies issued Vicki a citation for her warrant, and she was released on the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at approximately 6:15 PM, deputies were traveling on NW Ryals Avenue where they came across a recent motor vehicle collision at the intersection of NW Ryals Avenue and Independence Highway. Driver one said he did not see Driver two and attempted to turn left on NW Ryals Avenue and was struck immediately by Driver two in the southbound lane of Independence Highway. There were no injuries and both vehicles were towed.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 6/6/2022 ELEY, ULAN, 22, OF PORTLAND, TURNED HIMSELF IN ON A WARRANT FOR FTA DUII. ELEY WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME FOR THE ABOVE WARRANT.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 6th, 2022 at about 8:00 pm, deputies stopped Bryer Thompson, 31, of Lebanon, on 5th Street and Depot Street in Monroe for failing to use his seat belt. Ultimately deputies cited Mr. Thompson for Fail to use seat belt, Fail to carry registration, DWS-Violation, Driving Uninsured and expired tags. Mr. Thompson had several outstanding warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody without incident on the follow warrants and was released on all three warrants: FTA-Criminal Citation, Linn County Circuit Court; Lebanon Justice Court; and Fail to Perform Community Service, Linn County Courts.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 5/24/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:15 PM, GUAJARDO, LISA MARIE, 52, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE JAIL ON A WARRANT FOR FTA PCS METH, OUT OF MARION CO.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 5/18/22 TRONTVET, WEST, 32, WAS SERVED WITH A FAIL TO APPEAR WARRANT WHILE HE WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 6, 2022, at about 12:30 PM, deputies responded to the 5200 block of NW Palestine Ave for a welfare check on an unresponsive driver. Daniel Johnson, 22, was coincidentally drunk behind the wheel of his own vehicle after an unknown friend dropped him off there and left. Johnson was arrested and released from the Sheriff`s Office on an unrelated warrant.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Sunday, June 5, 2022, at about 1:35 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99 near NW Arboretum Road. At the scene, deputies saw a silver Honda Odyssey sitting in a drainage ditch on the west side of Highway 99, just north of the southern end of NW Arboretum Road. Deputies found the driver, David Jonathan Woolley, 51, hiding in a blackberry bush about half a mile from the crashed vehicle. Woolley was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving. Woolley was booked through the Benton County Jail, cited, and released.
THEFT 1 - On June 2, 2022, deputies spoke with a resident regarding the theft of metal from the 23700 block of Woods Creek Rd, Philomath. He hired a company to demolish a mobile home and remove several tons of scrap metal. He reported an initial estimate of about 6,500.00 worth of metal has been stolen from the property.
UUV; EXTORT/BLACKMAIL - On May 28, 2022, at about 3:28 p.m., deputies arrested Roy Douglas Moore, 38, for UUV (x2) and Coercion. Moore was lodged at Benton County Jail.
ASSAULT 4; INTERFERE W/ MAKING A REPORT; HARASSMENT; RESISTING ARREST - DIS CONDUCT; APA MENACING - On June 5, 2022, at about 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of NW 53rd St. for a reported assault. Deputies arrested Evan Jay Seits, 37, for Assault IV, Harassment (x2), Menacing, Interfering with Making a Report and Resisting Arrest. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
POSS METH (LESS THAN 2 GRAMS); DUII; POSS MUSHROOMS (LESS THAN 12 GRAMS) - On June 4, 2022, at 10:21 PM, deputies responded to the 24600 block of Alpine Road in Monroe for Criminal Trespass II. The caller reported a small pickup parked near their shed. The pickup sped off and was last observed traveling eastbound on Alpine Road towards Bellfountain Road. Deputies located a pickup matching the description on Bellfountain Road near Finley Road. The driver, Tyvon McKay, 45, of Eugene, admitted to being on the property after he got turned around. McKay was arrested for DUII after deputies determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. McKay was also cited for BM-110 Methamphetamine and Psilocybin.
ASSAULT 4; THEFT 2; UUV; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On June 1, 2022, at 8:30 am, Deputies were dispatched to a Disturbance in the 23700 block of Gray Creek Lane, Philomath. Mary Fuller, 31, assaulted a male and was later arrested and lodged at the jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE FATAL - On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at about 6:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost 36 for a fatal crash. I arrived and determined that a motorcycle rider was traveling westbound and, for unknown reasons, crashed his 2015 Ducati motorcycle into the driver side tires of a 2016 Kenworth Semi-truck, which was traveling eastbound. The crash occurred in the center of the eastbound lane of Highway 20. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On May 30, 2022, at about 9:20 AM, deputies responded to NW Highway 20, Albany, for a suspicious circumstance. The property owner stated that this property has an abandoned house where people had previously been stashing stolen vehicles and he has observed evidence that someone is accessing the property again. He stated that today he observed a Toyota Rav4 in the driveway on the Highway side of the property. Albany Police stopped and identified two females who were simply taking photos of old farm houses for a photography collection.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On May 29th, 2022 at about 11:45 AM, deputies responded to the area of 37800 Soap Creek Rd for a possible trespass. The caller stated that a vehicle that he did not recognize, a black Nissan Maxima, pulled into an area that was private property, turned around, and left. Deputies identified the owner of the vehicle and contacted her at her residence in Corvallis. She stated that she loaned her car to a homeless man, who then called deputies to say that he and a woman were just driving in the area and turned around here not knowing that it changed from OSU property to private property.
DUII - On May 27, 2022 at about 7:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 25300 block of Alsea Deadwood Highway for a report of an intoxicated male who threatened people with a firearm at the location. Deputies arrested Craig Daniel Edgmant, 41, for DUII. He was released to his home.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 4, 2022, at around 12:31 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25200 block of Blackberry Ln for a report of theft and extortion. The claims were later found to be civil in nature. After the investigation, deputies arrested one of the involved parties, Robert Stensland, 36, for two warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to appear--Theft 3. Stensland was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 3rd 2022 at about 2:24 pm, deputies were dispatched to a trespass located in the 1500 block of SW Allen Street. Deputies met the property owner and drove to the location where the subjects were trespassing. Deputies met up with Noelle Christine Whittier, 28, who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Albany Muni Court.
IDENTITY THEFT - On June 3, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a fraud report in the 4300 block of NW Crescent Valley Dr. A resident reported someone ordered an iPhone using his information. The value of the iPhone was 1,500.00.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 2, 2022, at 11:11 PM, deputies responded to the 200 block of N 7th Street in Philomath for a Prowler. Upon arrival, Logan Carter, 18, was located hiding in the backyard. The caller did not know who Carter was and wanted him arrested. Carter was cited for Criminal Trespass II.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 1, 2022 at about 12:33 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic crash on SW Plymouth Dr about .25 miles west of SW 53rd St. The driver was traveling westbound on Plymouth when he stated he fell asleep. He crossed the center line and drove into the south ditch where he struck several small tress. A tow company responded and removed the vehicle from the scene due to damages.
