Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

7/16/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Saturday, July 14, 2018, at about 11:10 pm, deputies observed a vehicle stopped on Highway 20 near milepost 46. They spoke with the driver, who stated the vehicle quit running and would not start. A tow company responded and recovered the car.
7/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday July 14th, 2018 at about 12:05 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near Highway 223 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, MAXWELL WARD, 21, had an outstanding Warrant out of Clackamas County for F.T.A.- Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). Deputies arrested WARD and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
7/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Friday, July 13, 2018 at about 11:45 a.m., deputies responded to Highway 34 and Melody Lane for a report of a motor vehicle crash. There were no injuries. A car hit its brakes to look at the Torch Runners and escorts.
7/16/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE.  On July 13, 2018 at around 8:45 am, deputies were dispatched to Evergreen Road for an abandoned vehicle complaint. Deputies tagged the vehicle for tow.
7/16/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Friday, July 13, 2018 at about 9:45 a.m., deputies spoke with a citizen by phone who was upset about dogs running off leash in the Fitton Green area and chasing his horse. He refused all assistance, instead yelled, and screamed until the call was disconnected.
7/16/18 - UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE.  On Friday, July 13, 2018 at about 8:45 A.M., a citizen reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle while in the driveway of NE Merloy Ave. An unknown subject broke the passenger side window and took the purse from the passenger seat. No suspects.
7/16/18 – PROWLER.  On Friday July 13th, 2018 at about 2:00 AM, deputies were dispatched for a report of a Prowler. Deputies arrived, checked the area and discovered that someone had been on the porch of the residence, but was unable to locate anyone in the area.
7/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday July 12th, 2018 at about 11:10 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 501 near milepost #6 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, ANDREW WINDOM, 43, had two outstanding Warrants out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Contempt of Court and Probation Violation. The second Warrant was for F.T.A.- Criminal Citation. WINDOM was issued a citation for both and released.
7/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Thursday, July 12, 2018, at about 6:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury crash at Highway 99W and Guerber Lane. Unit 1 said he changed stations on his radio and crashed into a semi-truck trailer. Unit 2 said he slowed down, and used his turn signal to turn west (right) onto Guerber Lane, when unit 2 was turning, unit 1 crashed into his semi-truck trailer.
7/16/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Thursday, July 12, 2018, at about 5:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to Burgundy Drive for a theft. They arrived and talked to a complainant about a male wearing an orange shirt and white athletic shorts, who tried to steal her gas cans. She said her son found the suspect with gas cans in his hands and asked what he was doing. The suspect said, "I am stealing your gas cans". Her son ran after the suspect and he dropped the gas cans. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
7/16/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On July 12, 2018 at around 2:30 pm, deputies spoke with a Monroe citizen by telephone. He reported the windshield on his vehicle was smashed sometime overnight. The lower passenger side section of the window had many spreading cracks and will need to be replaced. The vehicle was parked in his driveway near his home on Territorial Highway in Monroe.
7/16/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  July 12, 2018, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living on Crystal Lake Drive a warning for allowing her dogs to bark for long periods of time disturbing nearby neighbors.
7/16/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  July 12, 2018 11:04 a.m., deputies gave a dog owner living on NW Palestine in Albany a warning for allowing her dogs to bark excessively and bother her neighbors.
7/16/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On July 11, 2018 at around 11:58 P.M., deputies were dispatched to SW 53rd Street for a reported male looking through car windows, but was not seen entering any vehicles. Deputies contacted a suspect, who matched the description given, leaving the campground area on his bike. He said he was riding around but did not look through any cars or take anything. He was cautioned that if he were to try to get into cars, he could be arrested. He stated he understood and left the campground.
7/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 at about 7:53PM, Unit 1 attempted to turn on SW Reservoir Avenue from SW 53rd Street. Unit 2 was driving south on SW 53rd Street with a green light through the intersection. Unit 1 was driving North on SW 53rd Street and had a flashing yellow turn light. Unit 1 pulled out in front of Unit 2. Unit 2 was unable to stop in time and collided with Unit 2.
7/16/18 - CONFIRMED ALARM RESIDENTIAL.  On July 10, 2018 at around 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to NW Takena Drive in Corvallis for a residential burglary alarm. Deputies arrived and found no one home. Several exterior windows were cracked open for ventilation and a large dog was inside the house barking. The home was secure. No sign of criminal activity.
7/16/18 - RECKLESS BURNING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 1ST DEGREE.  On July 9th, 2018 at about 7:43 PM, deputies were dispatched to a fire alongside the road on Lester Avenue, near Calvary Chapel Church. Upon arrival, firefighters had extinguished the flames and were continuing to add water to the area. Neighbors and people in the area heard a loud bang, consistent with a very large firework. A neighbor said she was in her backyard when she heard the bang. She said within seconds she heard a car coming down her street, Glen Eden Drive, at a high rate of speed.she described the vehicle as a small, older dark colored car, but had no further information about it. There was a small blast area and paper remnants consistent with a firework in the Street.
7/16/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On Sunday July 8, 2018 at about 8:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. He reported earlier in the morning he discovered his mailbox at the entrance of his property on NW Highway 20, was damaged. He said the damage occurred between July 7 and the morning of July 8. The door of the mailbox had a lock and key and the door to the mailbox had been pried open. He did not believe any mail was missing and stated the mailbox cost$43 to replace.
7/16/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On July 6, 2018 at around 1:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and milepost 96 for a report of a horse in the roadway.  The owner arrived home and secured a gate that had been open and returned the animal back into the pasture.
7/12/18 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at about 1:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to the front counter of the Sheriff's Office and spoke with a woman about a possible fraud. She told me she met a man on Facebook a few months ago. He claimed to be from Ohio. He claimed he was in the hospital and needed money for a surgery. She gave him $1,000 in Amazon gift cards and he asked for $2,000 more so the hospital could perform the surgery. The hospital he claimed to be at in South Carolina does not exist. She wanted to verify this was a scam and deputies told her it was. They discussed ways to prevent this in the future.
7/12/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING.  On July 10, 2018 at around 9:07 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near milepost 57 for a reckless driving complaint. Law enforcement observed a vehicle drive off his property at a high rate of speed while using a police type siren onto Highway 34. The vehicle continued west on Highway 34 at a high rate of speed and spinning its tires in the newly laid gravel. Deputies contacted the suspect, who was later issued a traffic citation for careless driving.
7/12/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On July 10, 2018 at around 6:21 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Starr Creek Road for a reported Trespass. The resident heard an unknown male in the tree line, along the creek, behind her house after her dog alerted to something there. Deputies walked the tree line, along the creek, and were unable to locate anyone in the brush. They recommended she set up cameras if she was concerned someone was camping and to call us back if they had anymore concerns
7/12/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /PARKING.  On Tuesday July 10, 2018 at about 11:30 am, deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. He lives on Ada Drive Philomath, Oregon, and was calling concerning parked cars just off the roadway at a residence across the street from his house. He said the cars are an “eye sore”. Deputies told him the report would be forwarded to Benton County Code Compliance.
7/12/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /PARKING.  On Tuesday July 10, 2018 at about 1:30 pm, deputies arrived on NW Lewisburg concerning a vehicle that was reported as partially blocking the bicycle lane. Deputies later spoke with the owner by telephone and she stated she would move the vehicle later this evening.
7/10/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On Monday July 9, 2018 at about 9:00, deputies arrived at East Alder Street Alsea, Oregon for a reported burglary. Forced entry was made through the front door. At this time, it is unknown if anything was taken from inside the building.
7/10/18 - RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at approximately 7:30 P.M., deputies went to Kings Valley Highway for a shooting complaint. Upon arrival they spoke with a resident who said one of his neighbor’s bullets landed near them after the neighbor shot tannerite. He stopped shooting after this and was warned about Reckless Endangering because his neighbor's property was in the direction he was shooting.
7/9/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On June 29, 2018 at about 9:28 pm, deputies contacted a resident, who reported sometime between June 20-21, someone vandalized vehicles and broke into his auto body shop taking several items on E Ingram Island Pl in Monroe.
7/9/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  At around 6:55 PM on June 23 2018, deputies were dispatched to a possible drowning in progress near Michaels Landing. They arrived and spoke with a woman who stated that her and her husband brought the dog down to the water and that it jumped in the water after ducks. The current carried the dog away, and her husband jumped in after it. The man stated the current carried him away when he tried to swim to his dog. He was checked by Corvallis Fire medics.
7/8/18 - USING INVALID LICENSE.  On Sunday July 8th, 2018 at about 10:05 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for Expired Registration and defective right brake light on 7th St. near Applegate St. KAELIN KREBBS, 23, had a suspended license. KREBBS was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured. She was cited and released for Using an Invalid License.
7/8/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On July 8, 2018 at about 12:30 am, deputies Brandon Wederski, 25, on Highway 99 near Arboretum after his vehicle ran out of gas. Wederski had two confirmed warrants for his arrest. A Clackamas County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-Trespass II and a Multnomah County Circuit Court warrant for Trespass I. Wederski was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
7/7/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On July 7, 2018 at about 10:36 pm, deputies stopped Cory Colburn, 28, on Highway 20 near Clem Rd for speeding 73/55 mph zone. He was issued a citation for DWS-Misdemeanor in leu of custody
7/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, July 7, 2018, at about 10:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Harrison Boulevard near 53rd Street for a report of an intoxicated male staggering along the roadway. They later arrested Jeremy Kosydar, 36, on several confirmed warrants. Kosydar was issued criminal citations, he was given a courtesy ride to his residence, and released.
7/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST; PROBATION VIOLATION.  On Saturday, July 7, 2018 at about 3:00 P.M., deputies arrested Nicole Christensen, 36, for a confirmed Lebanon Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt - Theft II. Arturo Clemente Tapia, 38, was also arrested for a Lebanon Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt - Theft II and for a Lincoln county probation violation. Arturo was transported to the Benton County Jail, then to the Lincoln County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
7/7/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Saturday July 7, 2018 at about 9:43 am, deputies arrived on Springhill Drive for a reported dumping involving kitchen chairs, tools, and a cat tower. Deputies later arrested, cited, and released Aaron Phillips, 24, for Offensive Littering.
7/6/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Friday, July 6, 2018, at about 7:07 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for the driver driving without a seat belt. Derek Rudolph, 23, was arrested for DUII after it was determined Rudolph was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Rudolph was later released to a sober friend at the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
7/6/18 - FALSE ALARM RESIDENTIAL.  On Friday, July 6, 2018 at about 12:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to an alarm on NE Mistletoe Circle. The resident said she forgot about the alarm when she let her dog out.
7/5/18 - BCSO – FIREWORKS.  On Thursday, July 5, 2018 at about 8:00 a.m., deputies spoke with a citizen in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office. He reported his neighbors set off illegal aerial fireworks the previous night, which was a fire hazard. He had no knowledge of who specifically was setting them off.
7/3/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 8:32 PM, deputies contacted and arrested MERRITT HAGEMAN, 22, in Avery Park, Corvallis for two confirmed, misdemeanor warrants. HAGEMAN was found to be in possession of Heroin and a bicycle that did not belong to him. HAGEMAN was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked on his warrants and charged with Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Theft II.
7/4/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On July 4, 2018 at around 12:00 pm, a citizen called the Sheriff's Office to report approximately 6-10 large black cows at large at the end of Magee Road in Kings Valley. He was concerned the cows would wander on to Kings Valley Highway. Deputies arrived in the area and could not locate the animals. After speaking with people in the area, they learned cows from an unknown property near Maxfield Creek Road frequently escape their pasture this time every year but do wander back home. Unknown who owns the animals at this time.
7/4/18 - PURCHASE OR POSSESSION OF LIQUOR BY MINOR.  On July 4, 2018 at around 2:14 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at Highway 99 and NE Elliot Circle for failure to drive within lane. The driver, Anthony MANCUSO, 19, was later cited and released for minor in possession of alcohol.
6/29/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, May 29, 2018 at about 9:00 p.m., I arrested Kayla Brooks, 23, near 5th Street and Ash Street in Monroe, for a State Wide Felony Warrant for probation violation out of Lane County. Kayla was transported to Lane County Jail where she was lodged.
6/29/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Friday, June 29, 2018 at about 3:00 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at 53rd Street and Reservoir Road. Unit 1 was northbound on 53rd Avenue and struck the back bumper of Unit 2.
6/28/18 – DUII; INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; RESISTING ARREST; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On June 28th, 2018 at about 7:00 PM, deputies responded to Alpine Cutoff Road for a report of medics dealing with a combative patient.  Deputies arrived and saw paramedics gathered around the open driver's door of what appeared to be a company owned, work truck.  CRAIG LEE SCOTT, 59, was arrested and released that night from the Benton County Jail.
6/9/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at approximately 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle, non-injury accident at the intersection of Hwy 99W and Alpine Road. Deputies arrived and spoke with the driver of Unit1, who stated that he lost control of the vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree.  He was Northbound on Hwy 99W and had two passengers with him.
7/4/18 - BCSO – FIREWORKS.  On Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at about 9:45 pm, I deputies arrived on Wells Creek Road for a fireworks complaint.  The resident was warned he would be cited if they had to come back and he said he was done.
7/3/18 - ANIMAL WELFARE CHECK.  On July 3rd, 2018, a citizen called in to report a found dog near 2205 Northwest 13th Street in Corvallis. Deputies arrived and transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society. The dog had two collars but no identification tags.
7/3/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, around 8:40 P.M., deputies arrived at Settlers Lane to conduct follow-up on a case.  Crysta Awtry, 33, had a confirmed warrant out of Josephine County. Dispatch confirmed the warrant out of the Josephine County Circuit Court for FTA-Contempt of Court.  Awtry was issued a criminal citation to appear at the Josephine County Circuit Court.
7/3/18 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE - BY DECEPTION.  On Tuesday July 3, 2018 at about 3:04 pm, deputies spoke with a woman at the Law Enforcement Center who stated she received a phone call from “Amazon” informing her that her amazon account was hacked. She provided “Amazon Security” with $1,000.00 in Google Play cards before she determined she was being scammed.
7/3/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at about 11:36 am, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury traffic crash on Springhill Drive near Picadilly Circle. When deputies arrived at about 11:56 am, both drivers had exchanged insurance information and there was under $2,500 in damages to the vehicle and motorcycle.
7/3/18 - SURRENDER ANIMAL.  On July 3, 2018 9:36 a.m., deputies transported several surrendered animals from Ash Street in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.
7/3/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED III CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  On Tuesday July 3, 2018 at about 7:40 A.M., deputies I arrived to a wooded area near West Hills Rd and 53rd St and arrested Travis Kramer. Kramer was cited for two Benton County Circuit Court warrants (PCS-Heroin, Theft II), Unlawful possession of a schedule III drug (suboxone sublingual film), and unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
7/2/18 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE - BY DECEPTION.  On Monday July 2, 2018 at about 9:40 am, deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. The woman reported that she took a job for a personal assistant on craigslist and received a check for $3,500.00. As a part of her new job, she was requested to obtain 27 $100.00 I-Tunes gift cards, which she did, and thinks it is a scam.
7/2/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On July 2, 2018, deputies transported a surrendered cat from Peterson road in Philomath to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The cat bit her owner and will serve a ten day quarantine.
7/2/18 - CRIMINAL DAMAGE.  On Monday July 2, 2018 at about 3:02 pm, deputies spoke with a man by telephone concerning a fence he installed. The fence had been spray painted and he was missing two no trespassing signs. The man stated he would get game cameras mounted on his property.
7/2/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On July 2, 2018 at approximately 6:35 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road and Llewellen Road for report of an injury crash. Unit 1 was turning south onto Bellfountain Road from Llewellen Road.  Unit 1 failed to look to the south and pulled in front of Unit 2, who was driving north. Unit 2 was unable to stop and crashed into Unit 1’s vehicle causing moderate damage to both. The driver of Unit 1 was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center by ambulance and was cited her for Careless Driving.
7/2/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On July 2, 2018 at about 10:09 pm, deputies stopped Alaura Baldwin, 27, near 5th and Harrison, Corvallis.  Baldwin had three confirmed warrants for her arrest. An Albany Muni Court warrant for Contempt; A Lebanon Muni Court warrant for Contempt and PV; and a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Theft II.  Deputies arrested Baldwin and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged on the Benton County Warrant and issued her two citations for the Albany and Lebanon warrants.
7/2/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday, July 2, 2018 at approximately 4:25 P.M., deputies were  dispatched to Highway 34 near milepost 54 for report of an injury crash. A driver fell asleep while eastbound on Highway 34, drove off the road to the right, and into the trees causing severe damage to his vehicle.  The driver was transported by private vehicle to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
7/2/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Monday July 2, 2018 at about 11:25 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen who stated at about 11:00 A.M., she received a call from a male. The male stated he was her grandson. She told the male she did not have any grandchildren. The male said he was her “oldest nephew” and needed bail money to be released from jail. The citizen said she did not give any personal information over the phone.
7/2/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Monday July 2, 2018 at about 10:00 am, deputies arrived at NE Barberry Drive to attempt to speak with a driver of a vehicle, which was previously seen in Adair Park with a disc golf basket in the vehicle. It was later determined that the driver is a volunteer grounds keeper for Willamette Disc Golf Club and was returning the basket after getting an estimate to have them powder coated.
7/1/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at about 8:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle crash at Independence Highway near mile post 2. Debra Jean Haas, 55, had driven off the road into a hay field and was arrested for DUII after it was determined Haas was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Haas was later released to a sober friend at the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
7/1/18 - RESISTING ARREST; INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, July 1, 2018, at about 6:26 PM, deputies approached a vehicle at Highway 20 and Highway 223 for a passenger without his seat belt. Jeromy Ruark, 24, had a confirmed Lebanon Municipal Warrant for Contempt of Court. Ruark was charged with Resisting Arrest, and Interfering with a Peace Officer and transported Ruark to the Benton County Jail where he was released.
6/29/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, June 29, 2018 at 9:41 PM, deputies contacted Rachel Hisgen, 37, on NW Kings Boulevard in Corvallis. HISGEN had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant for her arrest out of Marion County for Theft II.  HISGEN was transported to the Sheriff's Office (due to broken plumbing at the Benton County Jail), where she was issued a criminal citation with a court date for her warrant before being released.
6/29/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN.  On Friday, June 29, 2018 at about 7:17 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle near Highway 34 and MP 1 for Fail to Obey Traffic Control Device. The passenger, Aaron Byers, 23, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Heroin after a vehicle search.
6/29/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On June 29, 2018 at around 2:24 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at NW 4th St and NW VanBuren Ave for making an improper right turn. The driver, Steven KAUFFMAN, 26, was later arrested, cited and released for DUII, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering after he was deemed him unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely, following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
6/28/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On June 28th, 2018 at about 5:08 PM, Unit 1 was turning east bound off of Independence Highway when two vehicles in the turn lane to turn north bound on Independence Highway, blocked her view of a west bound vehicle on Highway 20. Unit 1 hit Unit 2, who was westbound. Both drivers were transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Department by ambulance.
6/27/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at approximately 5:07 PM, deputies arrested DANIEL ADAMS, 47. He was issued a criminal traffic citation with a court date in lieu of custody for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor).
6/27/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 5:07 PM, deputies contacted and arrested MICHAEL SIMMER, 52, for a confirmed warrant for MCS Methamphetamine.  Simmer was transported to the Sheriff's Office where he was issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody, due to overcrowding at the Benton County Jail.
6/27/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at approximately 4:40 P.M., vehicle 2 was stopped in traffic for a traffic light at Peoria Road on Highway 34. Vehicle 1 was travelling east on Highway 34 and did not see that traffic was stopping. Vehicle 1 crashed into the rear of vehicle 2.
6/26/18 – DUII; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On June 26, 2018 at about 1:48 am, deputies stopped Shannon Melson, 40, on Conifer near Highway 99W and later arrested him for DUII after it was determined he was impaired and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Melson was transported to the Benton County Sheriff's Office where he was lodged for DUII and Reckless Endangering
6/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, June 24, 2018, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W for a cold Assault and arrested Rickey Ormsbee, 60, for a confirmed warrant for Probation Violation for a DUII in 2008. Rickey was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
6/24/18 - ASSAULT 4TH DEGREE.  On Sunday, June 24, 2018 , deputies were dispatched to a cold assault on Highway 99W. They arrived and talked to Gayle Ormsbee, 56. Ormsbee admitted to slapping her neighbor in the face and pushing her shoulder resulting in physical injuries. Ormsbee was cited and for Assault IV.
6/23/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at approximately 5:07 P.M., deputies stopped BRANDON BERRETT, 33, near 2nd Street and Polk Avenue for failing to drive within his lane. BRANDON's driving status was Revoked Misdemeanor. BRANDON was arrested for Driving While Revoked Misdemeanor and released him with a criminal citation and court date.
6/19/18 - FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY; ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On June 19th, 2018 at about 6:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run crash at the intersection of Highway 99W and Greenberry Road.  Upon arrival they spoke to the driver of the victim vehicle, who said he and his co-workers were heading south bound on Highway 99W near the intersection of Greenberry Road.  The driver then said a vehicle turned right in front of him, trying to turn into the Greenberry tavern parking lot. He said he swerved at the same time the suspect swerved back into his lane and the suspect vehicle hit the side of his van, and then the suspect then drove away. Deputies later located the suspect, ALEX WILLIAMS, 43, at his residence and arrested him for Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver, and then transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was processed and released.
6/18/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Monday, June 18, 2018 at approximately 8:15 P.M., deputies responded to the area of Old Peak Road and Highway 34 for a single vehicle roll over crash. SCOTT WILLCOCKSON, 27, said he swerved to avoid hitting a deer, causing him to go off the road and roll his vehicle onto its top. Deputies observed indicators of impairment and arrested WILLCOCKSON for DUII and Reckless Driving after he consented to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  WILLCOCKSON was released with criminal citations to his wife and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
6/18/18 – DUII.  On Monday, June 18, 2018, at about 3:04 PM, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person on NW Countryman Circle. Raymond Crest, 77, had driven to the area and went on a walk and fell and injured his head. After failing voluntary standardized field sobriety tests, he was arrested for DUII and taken to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, where he was ultimately cited in lieu of custody and released to his son.
6/14/18 - DUII OF DRUGS.  On Thursday, June 14, 2018 at approximately 10:40 P.M., deputies stopped Jose Perez Montiel, 22, on Highway 20 near Milepost 38 after he committed a traffic violation. Jose was arrested Jose following field sobriety tests and transported to the Law Enforcement Center where he gave a breath sample and was evaluated by a drug recognition expert.  Jose was cited for DUII-Drugs, and Making an Unsignaled Turn.
7/1/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On Sunday July 1, 2018 at about 12:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Mitchel Dr. for a reported trespass. A woman is staying in a trailer at the edge of the owner’s property. Per the owner, the woman is supposed to have the trailer and herself removed from the property by mid evening on July 1.
7/1/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER. On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at about 12:20 AM, deputies responded to Highway 20 for an animal imbedded in a vehicle. Deputies talked with the car owner, who said he hit a raccoon with his Camaro at Highway 20 and Circle Boulevard. The raccoon was still alive, stuck in the vehicle's grill. He gave permission to cut the plastic fender of his vehicle to let the raccoon escape.
6/30/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Saturday June 30th, 2018 at about 10:45 PM, deputies stopped a pick-up on Highway 501 near Milepost #6 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, VIRGIL DYER JR, 57, had a revoked misdemeanor license. DYER was issued a citation and was cited and released.
6/30/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Saturday, June 30, 2018, at about 9:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost 4 for a report of a vehicle crash. They arrived and spoke with Unit 1, who crashed into the rear of Unit 2’s vehicle. Both vehicles had minor scuffing on the bumpers, total damage cost was below $2500.00 and both vehicles were drivable.
6/30/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/ARGUE. On Saturday, June 30, 2018, at about 7:50 P.M., deputies responded to NW Highland DR for an unknown problem. They arrived and learned that two men had become agitated and each flipped over a table. They were both calmed down and a staff member stated even though a table was damaged, he did not think anyone should get in trouble and asked the incident be documented. The men stated they would be calm for the rest of the evening.
6/30/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, June 30, 2018 at approximately 6:26 P.M., deputies contacted KEVIN MARRIOTT, 55, at Mitchell Drive and Oxbow Drive after being dispatched to report of a suspicious vehicle. KEVIN had an active Warrant for his arrest out of Lane County for Probation Violation. KEVIN was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail, where he was booked and lodged.
6/30/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Saturday June 30, 2018 at about 2:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Marys Peak Rd mile post 1 for an injury crash. The biker was traveling south on Marys Peak Rd and caught the foot peg of his motorcycle on the ground. He lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the ditch on the side of the road. His passenger was transported by Corvallis Medics to Good Samaritan Hospital.
6/29/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On June 29, 2018 at around 2:00 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for defective license plate lights at NW VanBuren Avenue and NW 4th Street. The passenger Skyla Ann WILLIAMS, 46, had a confirmed Benton County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. WILLIAMS was later arrested, cited, and released at the jail’s request.
6/28/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On June 28, 2018 at around 9:19 P.M., deputies were dispatched to SW Country Club Drive for reported illegal dumping.  The resident noticed a brown couch dumped by her driveway in the berry vines. She stated it was not there June 27, 2018. There was no identifying information on the couch and she said she would find away to have it removed.
6/28/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Thursday, June 28, 2018 at approximately 6:25 P.M., Vehicle 1 was driving east on Highway 20 near Rondo Street.  For unknown reasons the vehicle drove off the south side of Highway 20 striking a utility pole on the driver's side of the vehicle, and continued driving through the field until it came to rest approximately 50 yards away.
6/28/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On June 28, 2018 9:30 a.m., deputies transported a deceased cat that had been hit by a car from Hwy 99/Smith Loop Rd to the Heartland Humane Society. The cat was an adult female domestic short haired white with tabby markings. The cat was not wearing a collar, nor was she micro chipped.
6/28/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On June 28, 2018 9:17 a.m., deputies transported a live trapped cat from 27000 block of Finley Road in Corvallis to the Heartland Humane Society where it was impounded. The cat was a domestic medium haired black and white tuxedo cat. It was not wearing a collar, nor was it micro chipped.
6/27/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On June 28, 2018, at about 6:43 a.m., deputies were dispatched to NW 53rd Street at NW Harrison Boulevard for a two-vehicle traffic crash still blocking the roadway. Vehicles crashes into each other in the intersection. One was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
6/27/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/MUSIC/NOISE.  On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at about 8:30AM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Fairgrounds campground for a noise complaint. They arrived and spoke with a couple who said they were interested in staying at the campground while they look into going to Oregon State University. Deputies advised them of the noise complaint and they said they would quiet down for the evening.
6/27/18 - INFORMATION REPORT.  On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the wooded area on the North East side of NW Walnut Blvd and NW Harrison Blvd for a male flipping off cars. They arrived in the area and spoke with a man who denied flipping anyone off. He had a small camp set up and said he had been living there for five years
6/26/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On June 27, 2018 at around 1:20 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at NW Harrison Blvd and NW 9th St for operating a vehicle without headlights. They arrested the driver, Alana Huynh VO, 21, for a confirmed Clackamas County warrant for Theft II and Theft III.  Vo was transported to the Benton County Jail.
6/26/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday June 27th, 2018 at about 12:15 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Territorial Highway near Milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, PAUL CAMENZIND, 41, had an outstanding Warrant out of Lane County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- Contempt of Court. Dispatch also advised one of the passengers, KASHENIA CONGER, 26, had an outstanding Warrant out of Lane County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- P.C.S. (Methamphetamine). Deputies arrested both and transported them to the Lane County Jail where they were both lodged.
6/26/18 – WARRANT ARREST. On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, deputies were dispatched to NE Laurel Drive and later arrested BRIAN VARMA, 39, on three confirmed warrants.
6/24/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Sunday, June 24, 2018, at about 6:43 am, deputies were dispatched to NW Monroe Ave for a suspicious person. The caller stated he saw a male wearing a black baseball cap and black hooded sweatshirt knock on the door of an apt., which no males are allowed into. They arrived and spoke to a male, who denied it was him. He was wearing a black baseball cap and holding a black vest. They knocked on the door of the apartment, but no one answered.
6/22/18 – DUII.  On Friday, June 22, 2018 deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near milepost 92 for Fail To Drive Within Lane. During a subsequent DUII investigation, they arrested Adrian Rosales, 43, for DUII. Rosales was lodged at the Benton County jail.
6/25/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Monday June 25, 2018 at about 6:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Sulpher Springs Rd and the 500 gate to assist an injured biker. The fork to his bike broke while riding on a trail. He had a laceration to his right cheek and a cut on the left side of his nose, but stated he did not need medical attention and had a ride home.
6/25/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /HAZARD.  On Monday June 25, 2018 at about 11:45, deputies arrived on Granger Avenue near Highway 20 for a report of a vehicle broken down in the lane of traffic. Deputies conducted traffic control until a tow company arrived.
6/25/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On June 25, 2018 10:25 a.m., deputies transported a deceased cat from Hwy 20/Asbahr to the Heartland Humane Society. The cat was an adult intact male, domestic shorthaired Siamese mix cat. He was not wearing a collar nor was he micro chipped.
6/24/18 - ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE IN VEHICLE; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Sunday, June 24, 2018, at about 3:30 pm, deputies pursued two motorcyclists eastbound on Highway 34, east of the intersection of Decker Road, traveling at 98 MPH and 78 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Austin Wells, 22, lost control on a gravel road when trying to elude deputies and was uninjured, but arrested. Other deputies pursued the other motorcycle and eventually discontinued the pursuit. Wells, 22 was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
6/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UEMV - UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Sunday June 24, 2018 at about 11:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Alsea Deadwood Highway for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the person reporting's field. Richard Thompson, 36, was arrested for UEMV, Criminal Trespass II, Criminal Mischief II, Theft III, PCS Methamphetamine and a probation violation warrant out of Tillamook County. Deputies transported Richard to the Benton County Jail for lodging.
6/26/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/MUSIC/NOISE.  On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at about 10:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to Azalea Drive for a noise complaint. A neighbor reported someone using a saw and was keeping their kids up. Deputies arrived and heard a saw cutting, several blocks away from the residence. They asked the resident to stop cutting that late at night. He said he lost track of time, and would stop for the night.
6/24/18 - WELFARE CHECK OF DISCONNECTED 911 CALL.  On Sunday June 24, 2018 at about 11:21 am, deputies arrived at Mountain View Drive for a reported 911 hang up call. Deputies spoke with the resident and determined that a young child had been playing with the phone.
6/23/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at about 8:10 P.M., deputies responded to NW Monroe Avenue, to speak with a resident. He stated earlier in the evening, he was standing outside his residence on Monroe Street, when a silver dodge van drove up near him. He stated someone in the van took a photo of him with a "BIG CAMERA" and then drove west on Monroe and turned north onto 9th street. He did not have any suspect information.
6/23/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at about 6:15 P.M., deputies stopped to check on a vehicle with its doors open at Adair Frontage Road. Mark Slay, 41, said he was trying to drive RC cars. Dispatch confirmed Slay had a confirmed warrant out of Lane County. Deputies arrested Slay and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
6/23/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MISDEMEANOR; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at about 3:00 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at the stop sign at Llewellyn Road and Highway 99W. DANIEL RUIZ, 24, was arrested for DUII and Driving While Suspended - Misdemeanor, and Reckless Driving. RUIZ was released from the Benton County Sheriff's Office with Citations.
6/23/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at approximately 12:10 A.M., deputies stopped Adrian Jake III, 40, on Hwy 99W near Payne Road after he was riding on the wrong side of the road with no light. Jake had a confirmed warrant for Failure to Appear out of Santiam Correctional Institute. Jake had a meth pipe in his backpack. He was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was cited for PCS-Meth, and he was lodged on his warrant.
6/23/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at about 12:05 A.M., deputies contacted Tommy Harrington, 71, near the Blodgett store. Harrington had a confirmed warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Contempt of Court. Harrington was cited and released.
6/22/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On June 22nd, 2018, deputies arrested DANNY CALDWELL, 51, for Unlawful possession of Methamphetamine, and on a felony warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of Mail theft after a traffic stop on B Avenue at 3rd Street.
6/22/18 - FOUND PROPERTY.  On June 22, 2018 at about 9:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to NW Hoodview Cir, Corvallis for a report of a suspicious package. The resident received a package from the USPS marked return to sender. He stated he never sent the package although his address was listed as the sender. The package contained about one ounce of marijuana concentrate. The concentrate was entered into evidence.
6/22/18 - FALSE ALARM BUSINESS.  On Friday, June 22, 2018 at about 4:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a business alarm on Scenic Drive. An employee was at the address and notified deputies she checked the area and found no sign of break in.
6/22/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, June 22, 2018 at about 3:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to records at the Sheriff's Office to serve a confirmed warrant. Wesley Jacks, 40, was arrested for a confirmed Lebanon Municipal Court warrant, Contempt - Theft II. Jacks was released with a citation in lieu of custody.
6/22/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Thursday, June 21, 2018 at about 5:25 P.M., deputies stopped outside of the Alsea Mercantile to check on a U-Haul van towing a travel trailer. They spoke to the driver, Adam Burrell, 42, who told them his license was suspended. Burrell had 3 confirmed warrants for his arrest: Multnomah Co. Circuit Court - PV Abscond; Albany Municipal Court - Contempt of Court; Linn County Justice Court - Contempt of Court. Burrell was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
6/21/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, June 21, 2018 at about 6:00 p.m., deputies located a tent in Monroe City Park. The woman was warned she could not camp in the park.  She packed up her tent and left the area.
6/13/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING.  On Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at approximately 11:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to speak with a citizen regarding a traffic complaint. She said she was driving on Highway 99W near Arboretum Road, and was behind a vehicle towing a trailer. She then said that while she was following the trailer, something was falling off of it, which may have damaged her windshield. Deputies later spoke to the vehicle owner, who told deputies she and her neighbor were picking up and transporting a small load of garden soil and it was not covered. Deputies looked at the soil, which appeared to be fairly non-compact, soft soil. The complainant said wanted the incident documented.
6/11/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS. On Monday, June 11, 2018 at around 7:30 PM, deputies spoke with a citizen by phone about someone shooting in the area of Crescent Valley School. He was unsure where the shooting was coming from, but was concerned because there was many shots. Deputies him if there was any reason he believed the persons shooting were doing it unsafe. His reply was, “it must be, there was many shots.” Deputies then explained to him, it was legal to shoot in the County.
6/6/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On June 6, 2018 at approximately 11:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person complaint that happened on OSU property off Sulfur Springs Road. They contacted a citizen by phone who reported the incident. The woman Melanie runs with a friend on the McDonald Forest and told them about a white male who told her that his name was Derek and wanted to run with them. She said that he was very nervous, wore dark sunglasses, wore a black stocking cap and continued to show up when they were running and want to run with them. She also said that one time the male followed them in his vehicle when they left the area. On June 14, 2018, deputies contacted the man at his residence and he said he would not do this again.
5/28/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE. On May 28, 2018 at around 4:41 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a resident, by telephone, regarding a theft. A woman leased a room at her residence on SE Alexander Avenue through Air Bed and Breakfast (Air BnB) to a female named Tiffany (NFI). Tiffany rented the room for around three days and when she left, she took a pair of slippers, DVD's, and miscellaneous toiletries. All the items were located in the room she rented and were valued around $200. The complainant stated she was not too concerned about the items, but wanted to report it in case Tiffany did it other places. The resident was working with Air BnB to find Tiffany's full name and to see if they would reimburse her through insurance.
6/19/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING. On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, around 12:00 A.M., dispatch broadcasted an attempt to locate of a vehicle following another vehicle On Highway 20 eastbound from MILEPOST 36. Dispatch said the vehicle would not pass and had the high beams on. Deputies located the vehicles and stopped both drivers. One driver admitted to following too close and having his high beams on. He was warned about his actions. The complainant didn't want anything but, but wanted to make sure someone was not targeting her which deputies told her, he was not.
6/19/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at about 1:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen about a crash that happened earlier in the day. She stated that morning at around 4:00 A.M. she was driving north on Springhill Drive. She said as she came around the corner near milepost 3 there was an oncoming car she dimmed her lights for and didn't see a tree that had fallen and was hanging into the road. No injuries.
6/18/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Monday, June 18, 2018, around 7:45 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on Applegate Street near 7th Street. Ross Scott, 24, was arrested on warrants from the Benton County Circuit Court, Linn County Circuit Court, Lebanon Municipal Court and Sweet Home Municipal Court. Scott was issued criminal citations and released.
6/15/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR. On June 15th, 2018, deputies arrested STEPHENIE WELLS, 31, for Driving while suspended misdemeanor after a traffic stop on Bellfountain Road at Dawson Road.
6/18/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/MUSIC/NOISE. On June 18, 2018 at about 11:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to the North Albany Park for a report of a female screaming. They contacted a group of people in the park after hours. The female stated they had been screaming while chasing each other around playing games. The group was warned about the park hours and they left the area.
6/18/18 - FAIL TO YIELD TO EMERGENCY VEHICLE.  On Monday June 18, 2018 at about 3:30 P.M., deputies spoke with a complainant by telephone regarding a reckless driver. He stated at 3:05 P.M., he was traveling east on Highway 20 near the Farm home. He said he pulled over to the shoulder of the highway to allow a Deputy with lights and sirens to pass. He said as he pulled over, a red commercial glass van passed his vehicle at the same time the Deputy did. He then called the glass company and reported the incident to a manager.
6/18/18 - SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE. On Monday June 18, 2018 at about 11:48 am, deputies arrived at NW Springhill Drive concerning a vehicle that was parked in the driveway at this location. It was later determined that the vehicle broke down. The registered owner stated he would remove it that evening.
6/18/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On June 18, 2018 at about 5:09 am, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle vs sheep crash on Highway 99W just north of Old River Rd. The driver was traveling northbound when a southbound Semi struck a sheep, throwing it into the front of his vehicle. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to damages. The owner of the sheep was contacted and was asked to check her fences to ensure no other sheep could get out.
6/17/18 – DUII.  On Sunday June 17, 2018 at about 1:30 P.M., dispatch advised Junction City PD was looking for a vehicle that was the suspect vehicle in a hit and run. Deputies stopped the vehicle on Highway 99W near Payne Rd for failure to display plate and arrested John Lavelle, 77, after it was determined he was impaired and not able to operate a vehicle safely. Lavelle was released to a sober party.
6/15/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; FAIL TO DRIVE WITHIN LANE. On Friday, June 15, 2018 at about 10:15 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation after it was called in for an attempt to locate a reckless driver. Deputies arrested Heath Meyer, 27, after conducting a DUII investigation. Meyer admitted to smoking marijuana concentrates.
6/15/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING x 3.  On Saturday, June 15, 2018 at about 4:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a three vehicle crash at Highway 34 and Peoria road. Ebony White, 30, was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests.
6/17/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Sunday, June 17, 2018 at about 4:25 P.M., deputies arrested Buddy Rasberry, 36, on a confirmed warrant for FTA - Assault IV. Buddy called and reported he was outside of the Sheriff's Office to turn himself in. The Benton County Jail issued a new court date. Buddy was cited and released on the warrant.
6/17/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Sunday June 17, 2018 at about 1:26 pm, deputies arrived at Highway 99W and Old River Road for a reported single vehicle crash involving a telephone pole. It was later determined that the driver was northbound on Highway 99W approaching Old River Road at about 55 mph. According to her, a southbound vehicle crossed the center lane and she drove off the east side of Highway 99W to avoid a crash. She struck and broke a telephone pole prior to coming to a stop. She complained of pain on her arm. Pacific Power later arrived and repaired the utility pole/power lines.
6/17/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY; FAIL TO RETURN SUSPENDED/REVOKED/CANCELLED LICENSE. On Sunday, June 17, 2018, at about 5:40 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near milepost 88 for a report of a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they observed a vehicle had crashed in the ditch on the east side of the roadway. The driver, Joseph Moran, 23, stated he fell asleep and crashed. He was later issued a criminal citation for failure to return a suspended license.
6/17/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING x 2. On Sunday, June 17, 2018 at approximately 12:52 A.M., deputies stopped BRANDON LA VOIE, 27, at 2nd Street and Polk Avenue after observing him riding his 2004 Yamaha motorcycle 103mph in a 55mph zone with a passenger. BRANDON was unable to maintain his lane while traveling at this speed and rode across the roadway into the eastbound travel lane. BRANDON was cited for Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering, and released with criminal citations. BRANDON was also cited for multiple traffic violations.
6/16/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/MUSIC/NOISE. On Saturday, June 16, 2018 at about 11:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to a loud party complaint at Logsdon Drive. Deputies spoke with the resident who said they were having a party for her husband. Deputies told them to turn down the music and they were compliant.
6/16/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE. On Saturday, June 16, 2018 at about 10:05 PM, deputies contacted Chase Kuske, 27, at Takena Landing. Kuske was in possession of a meth pipe, scale, and a machete. Kuske was cited and released.
6/16/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /PARKING. On Saturday, June 16, 2018 at about 9:26 PM, deputies were dispatched to an abandoned vehicle at Angelo Jay Drive. They arrived at the residence and spoke with a resident who said the vehicle had been parked on the street for several days. She said she found out the vehicle was her neighbor’s, who was renting their house out for two weeks.
6/16/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING. On Saturday, June 16, 2018 at about 9:20 P.M., deputies spoke to a citizen by phone. She stated she was driving north on south 5th street in Monroe, when a deer jumped onto the roadway and she struck the deer with her minivan. She stated the deer was out of the roadway, her vehicle could be driven, and no one was injured. The incident was documented.
6/16/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Saturday, June 16, 2018 at about 5:00 P.M., Vehicle #1 (motorcycle) was driving north on Highway 223, near milepost 23. While negotiating a corner, Vehicle #1 drove off the road and into gravel on the shoulder. The driver was wearing a helmet and protective gear. The driver was transported by Corvallis Fire Department to Good Samaritan Hospital.
6/16/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT. On Saturday June 16, 2018 at about 2:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Dr for a report of a found dog. A resident found a dog near his property and Polk County told him to have BCSO pick it up. Deputies transported the dog to the Heartland Humane Society.
6/16/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING x 2. On Saturday, June 16, 2018, at about 2:40 am, deputies stopped a vehicle for operating without required lighting and later arrested the driver, Breayna Webster, 21, for DUII after it was determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Webster was later released to a sober friend.
6/16/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR; WARRANT ARREST. On Saturday June 16th, 2018 at about 2:00 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Harrison Blvd at 12th St. The driver, CARL EDES, was Revoked Misdemeanor. Dispatch also advised the two passengers, MICHAEL BRANTON JR, 42, and SANJUANITA RODRIGUEZ, 42, had outstanding Warrants. BRANTON was transported to the Linn County Jail and RODRIGUEZ was issued a citation in the field. EDES was issued a citation for Driving While Revoked (Misdemeanor). RODRIGUEZ and EDES were cited and released in the field.
6/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Friday June 15th, 2018 at about 9:10 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 501 near milepost #7 for a traffic violation. The passenger, BENJAMIN ROSS, 56, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for F.T.C- Driving While Revoked. He was issued a citation to appear and he was cited and released.
6/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Friday, June 15, 2018 at about 6:10 P.M., Vehicle #2 was driving east on Highway 20 near Priest Road. Vehicle #2 stopped behind another vehicle, which was turning left onto Priest Road. Vehicle #1 was also driving east on Highway 20. Vehicle #1 noticed Vehicle #2 was stopped, and slammed on its brakes. Vehicle #1 was not able to fully stop, and collided with the rear of Vehicle #2. All occupants of the vehicles stated they were not injured and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
6/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Friday, June 15, 2018 at about 8:30 A.M., deputies located several people with warrants in the wooded area at the north east corner of SW 53rd Street and SW West Hills Road. Sean William Donaldson, 35, was arrested for a confirmed Oregon State Parole Board warrant, Parole Violation. Donaldson was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged. Wayne Petersen, 54, had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for PCS- Methamphetamine. Deputies transported Petersen to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged. Alexis Carrillo, 20, was arrested for a confirmed Benton County Warrant for PCS Methamphetamines and Albany Muni Warrant for FTA Theft III. She was cited and released per jail request. Everyone contacted was given warnings for trespassing.
6/14/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Thursday June 14th, 2018 at about 9:55 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle at Main St. near Green St. for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, LUKE JANS, 34, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for F.T.A.- FORGERY II. JANS was issued a citation to appear, and released.
6/13/18 – DUII. On June 13, 2018 at around 12:50 A.M., deputies stopped a car for operating a vehicle without required lighting at Highway 20 near milepost 42. The driver, Jose PONCE, 32, was later arrested, cited and released for DUII after he was determined unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
6/14/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE. On June 14, 2018 11:32 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog at large from NE Elliot Circle to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was wearing a choke chain collar with no I.D.
6/12/18 - FALSE ALARM RESIDENTIAL. On June 12, 2018 at around 3:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to SE Kiger Island Road for a residential burglary alarm. Deputies arrived and found the home to be secure. It appeared the home is vacant, as they saw no furniture inside. A farm worker across the street did not see any activity at the home prior to their arrival.
6/12/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /HAZARD. On Tuesday June 12, 2018 at about 3:33 pm, deputies arrived at Highway 99W and Tampico for a reported traffic hazard. Deputies conducted traffic control while ODOT cleaned up a large amount of broken glass in the north bound lane of Highway 99W.
6/12/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On Tuesday June 12, 2018 at about 12:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the front lobby of the Law Enforcement Center to speak with a complainant. She stated she had a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and showed the call log on her cell phone. The call log showed over 30 phone calls from an unknown number from June 3 - June 12. She believes her ex is responsible for the phone calls, but did not have any contact information for him. Deputies recommended that she block the unknown numbers from calling her cell phone.
6/11/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE; BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE.  On 6/11/2018, at approximately 1245, Deputies received a report of a stolen bicycle on NE Barberry Dr.  The owner reported his orange Trek Superfly 7 bicycle was taken from his camper at the above residence. The bicycle was purchased for $800.
6/3/18 - UEMV - UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Sunday, June 3, 2018 at about 12:15 p.m., while deputies were investigating a seperate theft from a motor vehicle, they located another vehicle oh NE William R Carr that had been broken into. Deputies spoke to the owner who reported an AC adapter, iPhone charging cable, metal "fart jar" piggy bank and a Banana Republic button down shirt, had all been taken.
6/3/18 - UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., deputies responded to a reported theft from a motor vehicle at NE Azalea Drive in Adair, OR. The owner reported his vehicle was entered by an unknown person who stole pruners and a soil knife in a leather sheath, black Smith sunglasses, small black Nikon binoculars in a case and an unopened small Mag light.
6/1/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On Friday, June 1, 2018 at approximately 5:50 P.M., deputies arrived at Bullevard Street, for a reported burglary. The residents said they have been fixing the house for a few days and they recently had learned someone had entered through a garage window and stole a number of tools.
5/27/18 - BCSO - MARINE PATROL CALL OUT. On 5/27/18 at around 4:00 PM, deputies drove up the Santiam River to cut out a river hazard that trapped an inner tube earlier this day. Deputies cut and broke apart the river hazard. The river hazard was successfully cleared.
6/14/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC. On June 14, 2018 at around 1:28 A.M., deputies were flagged down at NW Harrison Blvd and NW 13th Street for a reported male passed out in a rose bush. The man was indeed passed out under a rose bush where he fell after attempting to urinate on a fire hydrant nearby. He was nude from the waist down and had urinated on his pants. The Corvallis Fire Department evaluated him due to his level of intoxication, released him on scene, and a friend took him home.
6/13/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at approximately 5:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center to speak with a resident regarding possible fraudulent activity. She said she was contacted by someone who told her that they had been emailing someone regarding renting a house in Corvallis. She said it looked like the person made a fraudulent rental listing on Craigslist using the photos she was using attempting to sell her property. The post was flagged for removal.
6/13/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR. On Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at approximately 7:40 P.M., deputies stopped Eric St. Clair, 46, on Walnut Boulevard near 9th Street after a traffic violation. Dispatch later confirmed he was misdemeanor suspended. Eric was cited for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
6/13/18 - IDENTITY THEFT. On Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Sparks Avenue for a threats complaint. A woman reported her son had received a call from someone representing himself as with the IRS. She said the male told her son he needed to give him $500 now or he would be arrested. She said she called the number back and asked how to report fraud and the male told her, "IF YOU REPORT THIS NUMBER I'M GOING TO [explicit language] YOU OFF."
6/13/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at about 1:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Crystal Lake Boat Ramp where two Parole & Probation Deputies were out with Kylee Leeling, 21. Kylee had a confirmed warrant from Benton County Parole and Probation for Absconding Supervision/Probation Violation/ Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Patrol Deputies arrived, told Kylee Leeling she was under arrest, and transported her to the Benton County Jail.
6/13/18 - SUSPICIOUS PERSON. On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at about 6:11 am, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at NE Arnold Avenue in Adair Village. After arriving a few minutes later they spoke to the resident who said in the last month a Honda Accord has been parking in front of her house nearly every night around 11:00 pm and leaving at about 7:00 am. A male in his early twenties was seen leaving the vehicle with a large backpack. The Pennsylvania license plate returned to a car dealership in Pennsylvania. Deputies stopped the vehicle about an hour later and identified the male, who said he was camping due to being temporarily homeless.
6/11/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER. On Monday, June 11, 2018, around 9:15 P.M., deputies arrived at NW 13th Street for a found dog. The citizen found a small white, black and brown dog running on Walnut Boulevard near 13th around 5:00 P.M. The small dog had a collar with a Heartland Humane Society tag. The dog was transported to the Heartland Humane Society so they could try and locate the owner.
6/11/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE. On Monday June 11, 2018 at about 9:45 A.M., deputies spoke with a resident by telephone. He told deputies he owns property on Kings Valley Highway and stated he had a trail camera setup at the entrance of his property. The camera was shot and destroyed. The camera’s sim card did not contain any photos of evidentiary value.
6/9/18 – HARASSMENT. On Saturday June 9, 2018 at about 12:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Gibson Hill Park for a harassment. A boy went to the park to get a bucket of sand. A man took the bucket from the boy. The boy’s father arrived and exchanged words with the man.
6/8/18 – WARRANT ARREST. On Friday, June 8, 2018 at 7:46 PM, deputies arrested ELOY SENCION, 21, near 1st Street and Jackson Avenue in Corvallis. SENCION had a felony warrant for his arrest for Benton County Parole & Probation, Probation Violation - Unlawful Use of a Weapon. SENCION was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe and plastic baggie which both later field tested positive for Methamphetamine. SENCION was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrant and also charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor).
6/11/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE - UNDER $500. On June 11th, 2018 at about 8:00 PM, deputies spoke to a man by phone. He reported sometime after 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5th and before 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 6th someone came onto his property, turned a sprinkler on and left it on in the bushes against his house. He said he thinks he knows who may have done this. He said his landscaper was at the residence until 6:00 PM on June 5th and said the sprinkler was not on. He said he returned home at about 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 6th. He wanted the incident documented.
6/10/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On June 10, 2018 at about 10:00 pm, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who wanted to report an incident that occurred about two weeks ago at the Benton County Fairgrounds campsites. He reported a suspicious male asked him to come inside his trailer because he was feeling ill. The caller found this unusual.
6/10/18 - SUSPICIOUS PERSON. On Sunday, June 10, 2018 at about 8:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Harris Road near Tum Tum Road for a person camping on a "Power Line Road". Deputies located the camper underneath the power lines near Harris Road, milepost 6. The man was walking from Corvallis to the coast with his dog and stated he would be on his way in the morning.
6/9/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS. On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at around 8:10 PM, a resident called the Sheriff's Office to say his neighbor is shooting guns on their property. Deputies explained this is not illegal, unless they are shooting unsafely, and there nothing BCSO can do about the shooting. The caller was not happy about this and hung up.
6/9/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at about 7:00 P.M., Vehicle #1 was traveling south on SW 3rd Street near Corliss Avenue. The driver of Vehicle #1 looked down for a moment. When the driver looked up, a vehicle in front of him was slowed and waiting to turn left. Vehicle #1 swerved to avoid colliding with the other vehicle. Vehicle #1 drove into a ditch and rolled. The driver stated he was not injured.
6/9/18 - VIOLATION OF RESTRAINING ORDER; VIOLATION OF A RELEASE AGREEMENT. On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at about 5:25 P.M., deputies arrested Karl Poage, 55, for Violation of a Restraining Order and Violation of No Contact Release Agreement. Karl was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
6/9/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /HAZARD. On Saturday June 9, 2018 at about 3:53 pm, deputies arrived on NW Springhill Drive near milepost 4 for a report of downed power lines. Upon arrival, the Albany Fire Department was on scene and directing traffic as the northbound lane was blocked. The Albany Fire Department stated they would stay on scene until relieved by Pacific Power.
6/9/18 - SUSPICIOUS PERSON. On Saturday June 9, 2018 at about 8:25 A.M., deputies spoke with a complainant by telephone regarding a suspicious person. He stated on June 8, he observed a male “drooling” over two young females. He stated the male was about 60 years old and was heavy set. He said the male looked at the young females like “a dog looking at something on the floor he can't have.” He does not know the male, but believes he may live near Ervin Rd in Philomath.
6/8/18 - IDENTITY THEFT. On Saturday June 9, 2018 at about 8:25 am, deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. She reported that unknown suspect(s) opened a Pay Pal credit account in her name in April of 2017. The suspect(s) purchased $600.00 of merchandise. She spoke with customer service at Pay Pal. Deputies referred her to contact her financial institution and seek information regarding identity theft programs that they might offer.
6/8/18 - DUII. On June 8, 2018 at about 11:42 pm deputies stopped Andrew Alexanderson, 33, on Highway 20 near MP 45. He was arrested later for DUII after it was determined he was impaired and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Alexanderson was ultimately to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged for DUII.
6/8/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Friday, June 8, 2018 at about 3:00 P.M., deputies arrived at Newton Street for a home check. While walking through the house deputies located Augustin Holguin, 54, who had a confirmed warrant for his arrest for Benton County Supervisory Authority, PV - PCS Meth, PV - FTA I.  Holguin was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
6/8/18, WARRANT ARREST. On June 8, 2018 at around 2:40 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for operating a vehicle without required lighting. The passenger, Rebel TESTER, 30, was later arrested for a confirmed Benton County Parole Violation warrant. He was then transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
6/7/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE. On Thursday, June 7, 2018 at about 10:40 P.M., deputies arrested Skyler Woodrum, 25, and Amanda Marie West, 37, for Criminal Trespass II. Skyler and Amanda were parked in Hyak Park about 100 feet beyond the sign stating the park is closed at night. Skyler and Amanda were cited and released.
6/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On June 7, 2018, at 10:13 PM, deputies contacted Timothy Rice, 30, on NW 9th Street near NW Grant Avenue in Corvallis after observing him causing vehicle traffic to slow down on NW 9th Street. Rice had two confirmed warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court for his arrest: Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct II, and Disorderly Conduct II.  Rice was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail.
6/7/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Thursday, June 7, 2018 at about 8:40 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for not signaling at least 100 feet before turning onto Harrison Blvd from 4th Street. The driver, Jamie Neil, 49, had a suspended misdemeanor Oregon Driver's license. Jamie was cited and released.
6/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 6:15 PM, deputies saw JOHN CADWELL, 34, walking on NW Garfield Avenue in Corvallis. Dispatch informed CADWELL had multiple warrants for his arrest, which they later confirmed. Deputies contacted and arrested and booked CADWELL for: Benton County Circuit Court, DCS Heroin (X3); Benton County Circuit Court, PCS Heroin / PCS Methamphetamine / Offensive Littering; and Benton County Circuit Court, Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon.
6/7/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE. On June 7, 2018 deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living on Tum Tum road in Blodgett for his dog running into the road and causing a car to slam on its breaks and swerve. The dog was not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
6/7/18 - DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On June 7, 2018 at around 2:16 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for operating without required lighting. The driver, Bradley JOHNSON, 31, was later determined unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely after performing standardized Field Sobriety Test. He was later arrested, cited, and taken to the Benton County Jail for DUII, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering.
6/6/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/ARGUE. On Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at about 2:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Fairgrounds for a report of a female yelling at kids who were cleaning the area. Deputies spoke with the Fairgrounds staff, who agreed it was time for her to leave. The fairgrounds refunded her for the day she had paid for.
6/6/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE. On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen by phone regarding a trespass by her brother. She said she did not want him on the property and he has not lived on the property for the last twenty years.  She and said he came on to her property on Friday, June 1st and would not leave until she said she was calling the cops. Deputies called and spoke to her brother and told him he would be arrested for trespassing if he came onto her property again. Deputies explained to him the civil process if he thought he had belongings on the property.
6/6/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. Vehicle #1 was traveling south on Highway 99W, north of the intersection of Ryals Ave. Vehicle #2 turned south onto Highway 99W, from Ryals Ave, in front of Vehicle #1. The driver of Vehicle #1 turned around to check on her young son, looked back up and could not avoid a collision, crashing into back of Vehicle #2. Vehicle #1 came to rest in the ditch on the West side of the highway. The only injury was a cut on the left big toe of the driver of vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 had relatively minor damage and was able to pull over.
6/6/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING. On June 6, 2018, at 3:54 AM, deputies stopped Timothy Tovar, 52, on Highway 99W near Elks Drive in Corvallis. Tovar passed a vehicle on the right side at 104 miles per hour, traveling through several major intersections at similar speeds. Tovar said he was running late for a flight and left his wallet at home. Tovar was cited for Reckless Driving.
6/5/18 - COMPUTER CRIME – MISDEMEANOR. On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, around 6:00 P.M., deputies called and spoke with a citizen regarding a virus on her computer. Two 800 numbers called her and claimed to be Microsoft. She gave them her computer information and a virus was put onto her computer. She is having the virus taken off. The numbers provided are involved with similar scams across the country.
6/6/18 - WARRANT ARREST. ON 6/6/2018 Ignacio Castenega, 46, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE LOBBY OF THE JAIL BECAUSE OF A SUSPECTED WARRANT. THE WARRANT WAS CONFIRMED AND A NEW COURT DATE WAS ISSUED.
6/5/18 - CARELESS DRIVING-NO ACCIDENT. On Tuesday June 5, 2018 at about 12:30 P.M., dispatch advised they were taking a call about a road rage incident. Dispatch advised the caller observed a semi-truck ran a maroon sedan off the road. The semi-truck was described as a white truck with a green tank traveling east on Main St. from 26th St. Deputies stopped the semi-truck on Highway 34 in the 2 Towns Cider House parking lot. The driver stated he was in the left lane and a maroon vehicle attempted to pass him as the road began to merge from one lane to two. The maroon vehicle slammed on his brakes and went off the road.
6/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On June 5, 2018 at around 11:47 am, deputies were dispatched to NW Crescent Valley Drive near the High School for a report of a traffic accident. Unit 1 entered a 90 degree turn at about 60 mph and crashed into a ditch. The car rolled prior to coming to rest. All side air curtain bags deployed and no occupants reported injury.
6/5/18 - CARELESS DRIVING-NO ACCIDENT. On Tuesday June 5, 2018 at about 8:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. He stated he observed a vehicle driving about 50 MPH down Timber Supply Rd. He said the driver was a teenage male and believed he lived on Timber Supply Rd. Deputies were unable to locate the male, or vehicle. The license plate number did not have a current registered owner.
6/5/18 - ASSAULTING A PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER; RESISTING ARREST. On June 5, 2018, at 2:35 am, deputies responded to SW 35th Street near SW Western Boulevard in Corvallis after the Oregon State Police requested help on a traffic stop. Wyatt Mills, 23, was arrested for Interfering with a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest and Assault on a Public Safety Officer. Katelyn Potter was arrested for Interfering with a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest and Assault on a Public Safety Officer.
6/4/18 - THROWING AWAY LIGHTED MATCHES AND OTHER MATERIALS. On Monday, June 4, 2018 at approximately 10:47 P.M., in the area of Philomath Boulevard and Sunset Drive, deputies stopped a vehicle after observing a lit cigarette come out the window of the vehicle she was driving. They later issued a criminal citation for Throwing Away Lighted Material From a Vehicle to SIERRA ELMS, 18, a passenger in the vehicle, who admitted to throwing the lit cigarette out the window.
6/4/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On Monday, June 4, 2018 at around 2:30 PM, deputies spoke with a citizen by phone about her attempting to meet with a "Deputy Ingram" at the Benton County Court House to give him two Money Pak gift cards for $494.00 to keep her being arrested. She said she was called around 1 hour prior and was told there was an arrest warrant for her because she failed to show up for Grand Jury. Deputies explained to her this was a scam and Law Enforcement would not attempt to get bail money this way. She did not give the cards to anyone, or give any of the numbers off them to the person on the phone.
6/4/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Monday June 4, 2018 at about 1:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Dr for a non-injury crash. Unit 1 crashed his vehicle into the ditch on the eastside of Springhill Dr.
6/4/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE. June 5, 2018 11:22 a.m., deputies issued a citation to a dog owner living on Oak Street in Monroe for her two dogs running at large onto the neighbor's property and pinning her small dog down. The small dog was not injured. The offending dogs were not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
6/4/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE. On June 4, 2018, deputies transported two stray dogs from Holly Place in North Albany to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded. One dog was a neutered male yellow lab and the second was a medium sized white and tan mixed breed neutered male. The owner was contacted and retrieved her dogs later that day.
6/4/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Monday June 4, 2018 at about 11:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to 53rd and Oak Creek for a crash involving a vehicle and bicycle. Unit 1 was turning south onto 53rd from Oak Creek. Unit 2 was traveling north on 53rd in the west side crosswalk on her bicycle. Unit 2 hit the passenger side of Unit 1. Unit 2 was evaluated for injuries.
6/3/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Sunday June 3, 2018 at about 2:49 pm, deputies arrived on Highway 99W, north of Coffin Butte Road for a reported single vehicle crash. It was later determined that the driver was southbound on Highway 99W, north of Coffin Butte Road at about 45-50 miles per hour. She said she thinks she fell asleep. The vehicle traveled off of the west side of Highway 99W and struck a utility pole. She was transported by ambulance to Emergency Room at Good Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries.
6/3/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. Vehicle #1 was stopped eastbound on Chapel Drive at the stop sign, waiting to turn northbound onto Bellfountain Road. Vehicle #2 was southbound on Bellfountain Road. Vehicle #1 thought Vehicle #2 was driving slower than he actually was and turned in front of him. The front of Vehicle #2 struck the side of Vehicle #1, spinning it into the ditch on the east side of Bellfountain Road. Vehicle #2 came to rest in the middle of the intersection.
6/2/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER. On Saturday, June 2, 2018 at approximately 8:45 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Mary's River Estates Road for report of a cougar sighting. The caller reported seeing a large cougar on the north side of his property, walking west. He said the cougar was not threatening him or his livestock and he only wanted to report it for information.
6/2/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC. At around 9:02PM on June 2nd 2018, Deputies were dispatched to the Santiam River for a Boater Assist. A boater misjudged his fuel level and ran out of fuel south of the I5 boat ramp. They arrived and found the boat roughly two miles upriver from the  Willamette/ Santiam confluence. They provided them with the 2 stroke fuel they had onboard. They then followed them downriver to the confluence, where they ran out of fuel again. The boat was then towed by BCSO to Buena Vista boat ramp
6/2/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE. On June 2, 2018 at around 6:38 P.M., deputies arrived at NW 53rd Street near NW Carriage House Place for a reported female painting a fire hydrant. The Corvallis Fire Department contacted Debra Flowers as she was painting the hydrant. She painted it red white and blue with what possibly was a peace symbol because the "Capitol" said she could since it is a public safety device. Debra Flowers, 59, agreed not to paint any other fire hydrants and was cited in lieu of custody for Criminal Mischief II.
6/2/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On Saturday, June 2, 2018 at approximately 4:26 AM, deputies were dispatched to Commercial Street in Monroe for suspicious persons. Dispatched had a report of two males in overalls loading paintings into a SUV with a white trailer. When they arrived at the residence and no one was home. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
6/2/18 - MIP MARIJUANA 1-8 OUNCES. On Saturday, June 2, 2018 at approximately 1:16 AM, deputies contacted an illegally parked vehicle on Michelle Drive. Deputies confiscated a glass marijuana pipe and three bags of marijuana weighing 1.2 ounces from Taylor Stageberg, 20. Stageberg said the glass marijuana pipe and the three bags of marijuana was hers. She was cited for minor in possession of marijuana.
6/1/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS. On Friday, June 1, 2018 at approximately 8:05 P.M., deputies arrived at Orchard Street, Monroe after a reported gunshot. They spoke with residents who said they did not hear a gun shot. Later they spoke with a man who told them he heard what he believed to be a gunshot coming from a shed on Orchard Street. No other information.
6/1/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT. On Friday, June 1 2018 at about 7:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Garryanna St and Green Place for a found dog. The small black and white dog was found at the park. The dog was transported to the Heartland humane Society. The dog had a collar with Heartland's information.
6/1/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE - BY DECEPTION. On Friday, June 1, 2018, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning a theft. He reported that, "DEPUTY DALE INGRAM" with the Benton County Sheriff's Office called around 12:00PM and told him he had two failure to appear warrants for his arrest. "DEPUTY INGRAM" informed him he could pay the fine over the phone or he would be arrested. He said he went to Office Max and purchased a green dot card for $972 plus a $6 fee and read the numbers to "DEPUTY INGRAM" as instructed. He said after thinking about the situation he had doubts and called the Sheriff's Office. He was informed that the Sheriff's Office would never call and demand he pay a fine over the phone and he was the victim of a telephonic scam. He said the telephone number "DEPUTY INGRAM" called from was 541 207 1520.
6/1/18 -THEFT 2ND DEGREE. On Friday, June 1, 2018 at about 3:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact an Alsea resident by phone regarding a theft. He said he was missing a strong box that had old coins and silver certificates in it. He estimated the value at $800 and that his insurance company needed a case number. He said he has had a lot of company over the last few years and doesn't know if anyone of them would have taken it and that the box could have been gone at least a year ago. No suspects.
5/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Sunday May 20, 2018 at about 9:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Orchard St. for a civil complaint. Dispatch advised Michael Jones, 58, had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Linn County for FTA - Theft III and was issued a new court date.
5/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On May 20, 2018 at around 2:51 P.M., deputies contacted Kayla Brooks, 22, at Main Street and N 6th Street. Kayla had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Trespass I, Resisting Arrest and FTA II. Kayla was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
5/20/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE - BY DECEPTION. On May 20, 2018 at around 1:22 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen by telephone regarding a possible fraud. “Reverend James Campbell” (NFI) responded to her craigslist ad she posted looking for a room to rent. The Reverend told her if she sent him $200, via western union, he would send her the keys to an apartment. She sent him the money, but James did not send keys and will no longer answer any calls from her. Deputies gave her a case number and recommended she called her bank.
5/20/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC. On Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at about 2:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of the 100 Road and Green Peak to attempt to locate two people who were reportedly lost in the area. Deputies located them about a quarter mile from the 100 road on the 14-6-20.1 road. They said they were taken to the area for a party and her friends left them both in the woods. The two were given a ride to Dari Mart in Monroe.
5/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Sunday, May 20, 2018 at about 12:35 am, deputies contacted Lucas Barden, 26, on Dawson Road near Bellfountain Road after his vehicle had broken down. Barden had four confirmed warrants out of Benton County and Harrisburg: Benton County FTA Criminally driving while suspended; Benton County FTA PCS Methamphetamine and Theft III; Benton County FTA Criminally driving while suspended x2; and Harrisburg Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. He was issued citations in lieu of custody and he was released.
5/19/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS. On May 19, 2018 at about 11:52 pm, a citizen reported hearing a gunshot and believed her neighbor might have taken a deer. Deputies contacted the neighbor at his residence located on Dodge Island Rd, Monroe. He stated he shot a flare to prank his friend who was working in the field. No carcass or blood was observed on the property.
5/19/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at about 10:45 PM, deputies saw a vehicle driving south on Territorial Highway near Dragon Drive and stopped it for a traffic violation. The driver identified himself by name and date of birth as PATRICK WEIR, 52. The rear passenger was identified as LORAN WEIR, 50. Both had warrants for their arrest and both were transported and lodged in jail.
5/19/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Saturday May 19, 2018 at about 1:15 P.M, deputies were dispatched to Marys Peak Rd, a quarter of a mile from the peak, for a single motorcycle crash. Upon arrival, deputies observed a female being treated by Philomath Medics about 20 ft. off the main road. The Harley Davidson was about 50 ft. off the main road. The rider was life-flighted to Good Samaritan Hospital for her injuries.
5/19/18 - DUII OF DRUGS. On Saturday, May 19, 2018 at about 11:45 a.m., deputies arrived at Bellfountain Road and Llewellyn Rd for a reported crash with injuries. Unit 1 was struck by Unit 2, driven by Sadie Phillipy, 18. Sadie was transported to GSH for injuries sustained in the crash. She was later cited in lieu of custody for DUII- Marijuana.
5/19/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY; BRIBING A WITNESS. On Saturday May 19, 2018 at about 11:40 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 2252 SE Crystal Lake Drive for a report of a hit and run. Dispatch advised a vehicle hit a power pole off Crystal Lake Dr and did not stop. Andrew Westmoreland, 26, was arrested for Failure to Perform Duties and Bribing a Witness. Andrew was transported to the Benton County Jail for lodging.
5/19/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /PARKING. On Saturday, May 19, 2018 at about 8:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to West Hills Road and Western Blvd for a parking complaint after Corvallis Police Parking Enforcement broadcast that she had ticketed cars on the south side of the road but not the north because it was county owned. Deputies arrived and saw one car parked out of the roadway, causing no obstruction. No citations issued, parking violation unfounded.
5/18/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Sunday, May 20, 2018 at about 4:20 P.M., Vehicle #1 was driving east on Highway 20, near milepost 5. Vehicle #1 signaled to turn into Garlands nursery, and slowed to a stop while waiting for on-coming traffic. Vehicle #2 was unable to stop in time and collided with Vehicle #1. Vehicle #3 was driving behind Vehicle #2 and collided with the rear of vehicle #2. All drivers were seen by medics at the scene.
5/17/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR. On Thursday, May 17, 2018 at about 10:15 P.M., deputies were driving eastbound on Highway 20, near milepost 38 and saw a vehicle fail to signal when changing lanes. The driver, Rodolfo Carrillo, 22, had a suspended Oregon Driver's License. Carrillo was cited and released, with another ride.
5/17/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE. On Thursday, May 17, 2018 at about 5:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Allen Street for a report of a person trespassing. Desirea Clay, 37, jumped over a fence, walked past a no trespassing sign, and disregarded the property owner's verbal request to not enter upon his property. Clay was arrested for Trespass II. Clay was escorted off the property and was issued a Citation in Lieu of Custody.
5/16/18 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE. On Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at approximately 5:50 P.M., deputies spoke on the phone with a resident regarding repeated thefts at her residence on McLoughlin Drive, Philomath. She said she has had numerous items stolen when they are left in front of her garage door. She said these items are only stolen when they are delivered by FedEx and she has tried to make it so they no longer deliver packages to her residence.
5/15/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE. On May 15, 2018 at around 10:40 am, deputies were dispatched to Soap Creek Road for a burglary. The resident reported that sometime over the past weekend, unknown person(s) came on his property and stole a bicycle, two propane tanks, and two skateboards. He has had thefts from his property in the past. He is planning on installing some video cameras on his property to help identify suspects.
5/15/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING. On Tuesday May 15, 2018 at about 10:15 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. She stated earlier in the morning at about 8:20 A.M., she was traveling on Priest Rd. and that a vehicle passed her vehicle unsafely while negotiating a corner.
5/14/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Monday May 14, 2018 at about 3:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and Reiling Ln for a non-injury crash. Unit 1 was traveling north on Highway 99W near Reiling Ln. He was behind a school bus. The school bus came to a stop. Unit 1 said he looked to the east side of Highway 99W for a split second and was unable to stop his vehicle and he crashed into the rear end of the bus. None of the passengers, or drivers suffered injuries.
5/13/18 - DWS INFRACTION; DRIVING UNINSURED; ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Sunday, May 13, 2018 at approximately 1:25 AM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Independence for a crash. Unit 1 crashed into the west guardrail. He was driving westbound on Highway 20 and Independence when he lost control of his vehicle and drove across the opposite lane into a guardrail. He and his passenger did not sustain any injuries. Guardrail was damaged
5/12/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE. On Saturday, May 12, 2018 at approximately 10:30 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident on Bruce Road who told them that at approximately 6:30 P.M., she heard a loud bang outside. She said at around 8:00 P.M. she went outside and noticed the bank of mailboxes in front of her property had been damaged or destroyed. She did not know the value of the mailboxes.
5/12/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE. On Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 5:25 AM, deputies were dispatched to Wake Robin Avenue and Pickford Street for an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed, as it was stuck in a ditch partially blocking the roadway.
5/10/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Thursday, May 10, 2018 at approximately 6:45 P.M., vehicle 2 was helping direct traffic for a crash nearby. After vehicle 2 was told they could leave, they began to pull into the lane of traffic to travel east. Vehicle 1 turned around and began driving, and struck the back of vehicle 2 as it entered the roadway.
5/18/18 - ANIMAL WELFARE CHECK. On May 17, 2018 10:28 a.m. deputies performed a dog welfare check on a puppy living on Ash Street in Monroe. No laws or codes were being broken. The two dogs at the residence were not licensed, so a deadline was given to get that done.
5/18/18 - UNLAWFUL DELIVERY MARIJUANA - LESS THAN 5 GRAMS. On May 14th, 2018 at about 7:11 PM, deputies were dispatched to NE Kenny Drive for a report of possible drugs found in a mailbox. The resident found a USPS package in her mailbox with her address as the return address. The package was addressed to Johnson City, Tennessee and had been returned to sender. Knowing neither she nor her husband had sent the package, they opened it and found what appeared to be drugs. The contents of the package was 3.5 grams of Marijuana concentrate “Crumble.” Deputies contacted the Postal Service Inspector to investigate.
5/17/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Thursday, May 17, 2018 at about 9:45 A.M., deputies stopped a male riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the road near Highway 20 and milepost 5 and arrested Andrew Smith, 29, for two confirmed warrants from Lebanon Municipal Court for FTA-Criminal Citation and PV-Contempt.
5/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On May 16, 2018 at around 4:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to N. 19th Street in Philomath for a traffic crash. A school bus was stopped at the railroad tracks on N. 19th. Unit 1 did not realize the bus was stopped and crashed into the rear of unit 2, who was stopped behind the school bus.
5/15/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE. On May 15, 2018 at around 3:40 pm, deputies spoke to a Monroe resident by telephone. She reported a 10 foot utility trailer was stolen from a gravel parking area in front of her house on Orchard Street in Monroe. The trailer was home built with no license plates or VIN number information.
5/15/18 - FALSE ALARM BUSINESS. On May 15, 2018 at around 6:45 am, deputies were dispatched to 845 NE Circle Blvd for a business alarm. Deputies have responded to many false alarms at this location in the past. They arrived and found the exterior doors and windows to be secure. No sign of any tampering or forced entry.
5/14/18 - DOG BITE. On May 14, 2018 3:30 p.m., deputies transported a boxer dog from NW Oak Creek Drive to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog bit a woman at the corner of Walnut and Oak Creek, breaking the skin. The dog is serving a ten-day quarantine.
5/11/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE. On May 11, 2018 at around 11 am, deputies were dispatched to Hyak Park for a report of an abandoned vehicle. A vehicle was seen parked in the parking area since Tuesday 5/8. Deputies placed a Benton County Sheriff's Office Civil Dept. Abandon Vehicle tag on the front Windshield. The car was marked to be towed if not moved in 24 hours. On 5/15/18 the car was no longer parked at Hyak Park.
5/10/18 – CRIMINAL DAMAGE. On May 11, 2018 at around 9:40 am, deputies spoke to a citizen by telephone. He reported that sometime overnight, and unknown person crashed into his property on NW Highway 99W, damaging approximately 20-30 feet of chain link fence, two landscaping trees, mailbox and post. He estimated the damage caused to be approximately $2,000.
5/13/18 -WARRANT ARREST. On May 13, 2018 at around 10:18 A.M., deputies arrived at Dawson Road for a warrant attempt on Levi Garrett Barden, 30. Levi had a confirmed Benton County warrant for Failure to Appear Driving While Revoked. Levi was arrested and issued a citation in lieu of custody, due to jail overcrowding.
5/13/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Sunday May 13, 2018 at about 8:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Commercial St in Monroe for a welfare check. Muriel Hubbard, 51, had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for FTA Harassment and FTA Criminal Trespass I. Muriel was issued criminal citations with a court date.
5/13/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Sunday, May 13, 2018 at about 4:00 am, deputies arrived at N 9th Street, near the intersection of West Hills Road for a reported single vehicle crash. Unit 1 was traveling west on West Hills Road and attempted to negotiate a sharp left turn onto N 9th Street. Unit 1 left the roadway on the west side of the road and overturned, coming to a stop on the hood of the vehicle. Both people declined medical attention.
5/13/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT ODL. On Sunday, May 13, 2018 at approximately 2:55 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle for driving without headlights and later arrested the driver, Michael Roy, 29, after it was determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Roy also had two confirmed warrants. Roy was booked at the Benton County Jail.
5/13/18 – DUII. On Sunday, May 13, 2018, at about 12:40 am, deputies stopped a vehicle for Failure to Drive Within Lane and later arrested the driver, Jennifer Mannila, for DUII after it was determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Jennifer was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
5/13/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On May 13, 2018 at about 12:33 am, deputies contacted Zachary Gutierrez, 30, at Hyak Park during closed hours. Gutierrez had three confirmed warrants for his arrest: Albany Municipal Court for FTA-DWS Misdemeanor; Philomath Municipal Court for Contempt of Court/FTC Criminal Trespass I; and Oregon State Parole Board warrant for Parole Violation. Guitierrez was arrested and transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
5/12/18 – DUII; RECKLESS ENDANGERING. On May 12, 2018 at about 10:23 pm, deputies stopped Daniel Crall, 37, near Philomath Blvd and 15th St, after he was called in as a possible intoxicated driver. Deputies arrested Crall for DUII and Reckless Endangering after it was determined he was impaired and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Two minor children were picked up by a family member at the scene. Crall was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
5/12/18 – WARRANT ARREST. On Saturday, May 12, 2018 at approximately 5:30 P.M., deputies responded to Shady Oak Drive after receiving information that CHRISTOPHER REID, 35, who had a confirmed Felony abscond warrant, was asleep inside his residence. REID came to the door and was taken into custody without incident. REID was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on his confirmed warrant for Benton County Circuit Court, Offense: Burglary I / PPS Felony Abscond, as well as a probable cause affidavit from a previous incident.
5/11/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /PARKING. On Saturday May 12, 2018 at about 11:00 A.M., deputies spoke with an employee at the Dari Mart in Monroe regarding a traffic complaint. He stated there was a vehicle parked in the lane of travel between 8th St. and 9th St.in Monroe. At about 11:15 A.M., deputies spoke with the owner of the vehicle, who moved the vehicle out of the lane of travel.
5/11/18 - FOUND PROPERTY. On May 11, 2018 at approximately 10:12 PM, deputies were dispatched to Northwest Mountain Laurel Circle for found property. The resident turned in a license plate she found on the road.
5/11/18 - FOUND PROPERTY. On Friday, May 11, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the front counter for a found wallet. The wallet was located on the old portion of Reservoir Boulevard near 53rd Street. The owner was located and the wallet was returned
5/11/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE. On Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at around 6:00 PM, a citizen was traveling to the dump with his red 5X8 utility trailer full of building materials and a couple old mattresses in it. He blew a tire and left the trailer in the gravel area on south NW Arboretum Road until he got new tires and rims. Today, he went to where the trailer was, with the new tires and it was missing. He has no suspect information at this time. The trailer had a 2” ball hitch and black ribbed fenders.
5/11/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC. On Friday, May 11, 2018, deputies were dispatched to assist a resident. She drove her vehicle into her carport and asked for help getting it out. Deputies were able to back the vehicle out of the storage area of the carport and into the normal parking area.
5/11/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE. On May 11, 2018 at around 3:28 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for expired registration at NW Walnut Blvd and NW Highland Dr. The passenger, Brian Lee Holbrook, 48, was later arrested, cited, and released for Theft III. Brian had a WINCO Foods hand basket next to him in the front seat. Brian stated he took the basket, but would have returned it, even though they were going back to Eugene.
5/11/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Friday May 11th, 2018 at about 6:00 AM, deputies stopped a male walking on the side of Highway 20 near Mary's River Estates Road. The male identified himself as JEREMY KOSYDAR, 36. He had a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for F.T.A. -Liquor Offense. KOSYDAR was issued a citation with date and time; he was cited and released.
5/10/18 - BCSO - TOWED VEHICLE. On Thursday, May 10, 2018 at about 7:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Starr Creek Road near milepost 2 for a vehicle broken down in the roadway. No one was around the vehicle. The vehicle was sticking into the road on an inside corner. The vehicle was towed due to it being a traffic hazard.
5/10/18 - BCSO - TOWED VEHICLE. On Thursday, May 10, 2018 at about 7:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Starr Creek Road near milepost 2 for a vehicle broken down in the roadway. 5/10/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE; UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE. On Friday, May 10, 2018 at about 12:30 p.m., deputies spoke with a resident on NE Azalea Drive in Adair Village. He had a toolbox and some speakers stolen from the bed of his pickup. No suspects.
5/4/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE. On Friday, May 4, 2018 at about 4:45 P.M., a citizen saw a gold colored pickup with a white toolbox and orange license plate, stop on Forrests Place, and shoot a wild turkey. He was not able to get a description of the driver or passenger. He stated he yelled at the driver but the driver did not respond. Deputies drove through Alsea and were unable to locate the vehicle.
5/5/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE - UNDER $500. On Saturday, May 5, 2018 at about 9:00 a.m., deputies took a report of a theft on NW Quailwood Drive, with a residential building site with a shed on it. Between 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 and 7:30 a.m. on May 5, 2018, someone drilled the padlock and entered the shed, stealing an orange Dolmar chainsaw and a green tackle box with various Craftsman handtools. Total value was $600.00. No suspects.
5/9/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER. On Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at about 7:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the Sheriff's Office to transport a dog to Heartland Humane Society. The dog had been found running on NW Meadow View Drive.
5/9/18 - IDENTITY THEFT. On May 9, 2018 at around 4 pm, deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone, who said she had just learned from her bank that her Visa Credit Card Account had been hacked with over $11,000 in fraudulent charges. The charges appeared to have been made in the State of Florida at various retail stores (Target, CVS, etc). She requested a report by the Sheriff's Office and case number so she could activate a fraud alert with credit reporting companies.
5/9/18 - IDENTITY THEFT. On May 9, 2018 at around 12:25 pm, deputies met a citizen at the lobby of the Sheriff's Office to report she had just found out she is was victim of identity theft. She received a telephone call from a debt collector stating a pay pal account was opened in her name. The account was past due and was sent to the collection agency. There is no suspect information at this time.
5/8/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE. On Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 3:50 PM, deputies arrested AREANY ANN JAMIESON, 49, at SW Hopkins Avenue and SW 3rd Street in Corvallis, on a confirmed felony warrant for Benton County Parole & Probation, Probation Violation - PCS Methamphetamine. JAMIESON was found to be in possession of a glass pipe, which contained presumptive Methamphetamine residue. JAMIESON was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail on her warrant and charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor).
5/7/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On April 8, 2018 at around 7:31 PM, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury crash on Highway 34 and Marys Peak Road. The driver of Unit 1 lost control of his vehicle and drove off the road. The driver was cited for Reckless Driving.
5/7/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE. On May 7, 2018 10:20 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Old River Road in Monroe for two dogs chasing another resident’s cattle. The dog owner was warned.
5/4/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE. On Friday, May 4, 2018 at 3:03 PM, deputies arrested ALEXIS CARRILLO, 20, in the alley behind 503 SW 3rd Street in Corvallis. Carrillo had multiple confirmed warrants for her arrest: (1) Benton County Circuit Court, PCS Heroin / PCS Schedule I; (2) Benton County Circuit Court, Theft III; (3) Benton County Circuit Court, Trespass II / FTA on Citation; (4) Benton County Circuit Court, Theft III. CARRILLO consented to a search of her purse and found to be in possession of a very small amount of Heroin, paraphernalia, and items with presumptive methamphetamine residue on them. CARRILLO was booked at the Benton County Jail on her warrants and charged with Unlawful Possession of Heroin (Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor).
5/9/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE. On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, deputies were dispatched to Llewellyn Road near Highway 99W for an abandoned vehicle. The caller stated the vehicle had been abandoned at the location for about a week. It was determined another deputy had contact with the vehicle on Sunday, May 6th, 2018, and issued the driver, William Spann, citations for multiple warrants. At about 7:00PM, they placed an abandoned vehicle sticker on the vehicle.
5/9/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE. On Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at about 12:44 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a Monroe resident regarding a trespass. She said a man known by the name of "DRUNK DALE" was chasing his dog on her property on Reiling Lane. Deputies were unable to locate "DRUNK DALE".
5/9/18 - DISORDERLY CONDUCT II. On Monday, May 9, 2018, at about 1:01 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Parole & Probation Lobby of the Benton County Sheriff's Office to speak to a complainant. On 5/8/18, at about 4:00 pm, he was sitting on the benches on the northeast corner of 5th and Monroe with several other people, including a man who became agitated and started yelling at the complainant, who yelled back at him. The suspect was waving around a hatchet as he did this, but never threatened to hit anyone with it. The complainant also said that he did not think the suspect was going to strike (or threatened) anyone with the hatchet.
5/9/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER. May 9, 2018 9:08 a.m., deputies were transported an abandoned litter of kittens from Seavy/Conser to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.
5/9/18 - FAILURE TO REPORT AS SEX OFFENDER. On May 9th, 2018, deputies arrested JULIO GRIM, 24, for Failure to report as a sex offender (Felony) after a traffic stop on Highway 99W near Arnold Avenue. RUBEN had not reported since July 15, 2016 on an original charge of Sodomy in the first degree.
5/8/18 – DUII. On Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at about 10:30 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle for driving south in the northbound lane of 5th Street in Corvallis. The driver, Albert Reita Nagao, 58, was subsequently arrested for DUII after failing SFST's.
5/8/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/ARGUE. On May 8th, 2018 at around 11:08 am, deputies were dispatched to the Children's Farm Home in Corvallis for a disturbance. A parent arrived at the Intake Office requesting to see his family member. He became upset and started causing a disturbance inside the office. No crime was committed, however due to his behavior during the incident, the Farm Home requested the man be trespassed from the property and not be allowed to return.
5/8/18 – HARASSMENT. On Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at about 10:45 A.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen at the Sheriff's Office regarding a harassment. The citizen reported that homeless people were camping at the end of Allen Street near the old golf course. He said one of them told him he was going to kill him, but he didn't think it was very serious and didn't know the guy's name. He said they also came into his house and ate all his food about a week ago. Initially he said he was glad the homeless people were there and he was helping them out. He said he now thinks they just want something for nothing. The citizen was told to call right away, the next time he hears people outside his house.
5/8/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY. On Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at about 7:40 A.M., deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Hwy 34. Unit 1 rear ended Unit 2 while Unit 2 was stopped in traffic. No injuries. The driver of Unit 1 was cited for Following to Close.
5/7/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On April 7, 2018 at around 10:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to an injury crash on Highway 99 West and Guerber Lane. The driver of unit 1 lost power to his pickup and he was hit by unit 2.
5/7/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE. May 7, 2018 12:26 p.m., deputies gave a dog owner living on NW Independence highway a warning for her dogs running at large and chasing a bicyclist. The dogs were not licensed so a deadline was given to get it completed.
5/7/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING. On Monday, May 7, 2018 at approximately 6:46 P.M., deputies stopped DURHAM TAYLOR, 39, at 5th Street and Commercial Street after he was reported by an off duty Deputy as a reckless driver. After a DUII investigation, deputies arrested TAYLOR for DUII and Reckless Driving. TAYLOR was transported to the Benton County Jail for booking.
5/6/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS. On April 6, 2018 at approximately 9:36 PM, deputies were dispatched to shots fired at Finley Road and Finley Refuge Road, Corvallis. They arrived and spoke with a man who heard numerous gunshots and explosions while he was parked in his vehicle (OR/158HFR) and was scared to leave the refuge. Deputies later spoke to a citizen who was walking his dog in the area who said he heard his neighbor shooting guns and fireworks on their property prior their arrival.
5/6/18 - BCSO – FIREWORKS. On May 6, 2018, deputies were dispatched to Northeast Fair Acres Drive, Corvallis for an aerial fireworks complaint. Deputies arrived at the residence at approximately 8:40 PM, and talked with the resident, who shot two mortar fireworks. Deputies seized the fireworks and later delivered them to the Corvallis Fire Department, Station One, to be destroyed.
5/6/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE - UNDER $500. On May 6, 2018 at around 1:42 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a resident regarding her mailbox being damaged on Gray Creek Road. She last saw her mailbox upright at around 6:00 P.M., on May 5, 2018. On May 6, 2018 at around 1:30 P.M., she saw it damaged and partially leaning over. She valued the mail box at $40.
5/6/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. On May 6, 2018 at around 12:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen at SW Butterfield Drive for a reported criminal mischief. He was traveling south on Highway 99 near Dawson road when he thought someone shot at his vehicle, damaging his front windshield. After inspecting the windshield, it appeared to be a rock chip, in the upper passenger side.
5/6/18 - UEMV - UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE. On May 6, 2018 at around 10:07 A.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen by telephone regarding a theft from his vehicle on May 5, 2018 on SE Crystal Lake Drive. At around 11:00 P.M., he thought he saw a light coming from outside but assumed it was a vehicle turning around. His wife later noticed her purse had been taken from her car in the driveway. Her car was unlocked. The purse had miscellaneous items inside to include credit cards.
5/6/18 - BCSO - LIVESTOCK AT LARGE. On Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at about 5:05 AM, deputies were dispatched to horses in traffic on 3rd Street near SE Corless Avenue. Deputies arrived and were able to get the horses into a fenced pasture on SE Standish Avenue. The owner off the three horses arrived and retrieved his horses. The horses most likely were spooked by the thunder and lightning storm during the early morning hours.
5/6/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING. On Sunday, May 6, 2018, at about 2:30 am, deputies responded to Reservoir Avenue near 53rd Street for a disabled vehicle. They later arrested the driver, Natalie Williams, 18, for DUII after it was determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. After a drug influence evaluation, it was determined Williams was under the influence of a CNS Depressant. Williams was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
5/6/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Sunday, May 6, 2018 at about 1:15 A.M., deputies stopped behind a disabled vehicle on Highway 99 near Llewellyn Road. William Spann, 47, stated he was out of gas, his license was suspended and most likely had warrants for his arrest. William had multiple warrants out of Benton County and Lebanon Municipal Court. William was arrested and then given court dates for all of the warrants. William was cited and released due to jail overcrowding.
