Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, deputies responded to Hwy 34 near milepost 42, Alsea, for a single vehicle crash. The driver was traveling westbound on Hwy 34, left the right side of the road, overcorrected and rolled her vehicle on the other side of the road. She was not injured, and the vehicle was towed.
DUII DRUGS - On June 15, 2021, around 2:00 p.m., deputies contacted Naiobi Louise Lebeau, 33, of Newport, at the intersection of 9th Street and Conifer Street, Corvallis. Lebeau was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and was issued a citation for her warrant.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On June 15, 2021 at around 4 am, a woman called the Sheriff`s Office to report she thought someone was stealing mail on the 5100 block of NW Highway 99W in Corvallis. She saw mail on the ground by the mailboxes, but did not see anyone stealing mail. She saw a car drive by but was not sure if the car was associated with mail theft. Deputies responded to the area and saw several mailboxes open and two pieces of mail on the ground. Unknown if mail was stolen as there were no reports from victims.
DUII DRUGS - On 06/13/2021 at approximately 7:52 PM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Avery Park Avenue. The male driver was identified as Raymond Johnson, 49, of Lebanon. Deputies conducted a DUII investigation which led to Johnson’s arrest for DUII drugs. It was determined Johnson was impaired by a CNS Stimulant. Johnson was cited in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:13 AM, driver 1 was southbound on Bellfountain Road near Mile Post 10 in a Toyota Highlander SUV when she struck a deer crossing the road. Driver 2 was following in a Subaru Forrester and ran into the rear of driver 1 after she hit the deer. There were no injuries, though the deer was deceased as a result of the impact.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 06/14/21, Hall Trael, 36, turned herself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton County Circuit warrant for FTA Burg I. Deputies served the warrant on Hall and she was released.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 9, 2021 at around 6:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2500 block of NW Michelle Drive in Corvallis. They arrived and saw a 2004 Honda Civic parked in the posted No Parking area turn around. Inside the car deputies saw a male and female in the backseat area naked and sleeping. The two went to the turn-around at 4 am and had sex inside the car. Deputies issued the owner of the car a citation for Illegal Parking and told the two they needed to leave as the area was posted no parking.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 6/9/21, EVERETT CARPENTER, 51, OF SILVERTON, HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA DWS, MARION CO. JAIL DEPUTIES SERVED CARPENTER WHO WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 06/09/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 4:29 PM, MELISSA CORNETT, 34, HAD A WARRANT OUT OF COOS COUNTY FOR FTA TRESP, 25,000 BAIL. JAIL DEPUTIES SERVED THE WARRANT ON CORNETT AND SHE WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, deputies were dispatched to NW Palestine Avenue and NW Bramblewood Lane for a motor vehicle crash. Unit 1 was turning left off of Bramblewood Lane while Unit 2 was traveling west on NW Palestine Avenue. The driver of Unit 1 said he didn`t see Unit 2 and pulled in front of her. Both vehicles were towed. No injuries were reported
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 1, 2021 at around 9:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle parked on the 3400 block of NW Springhill Drive. They contacted a Salem man in a Chrysler van. He stated he was making a delivery for Instacart in the Albany area and ran out of gas. Deputies transported him to the Chevron Station in North Albany then back to his van. Once he put fuel in his van deputies followed him back to North Albany.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, June 14, 2021, at about 9:49 am, deputies found evidence that Shane William Johnson, 23, of Winchester, entered unlawfully upon the premises of another home on the 100 block of Main Street, Philomath. Johnson was arrested for Criminal Trespass II and transported to the Benton County Jail, where he was lodged.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, June 14, 2021, at about 9:49 am, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street, Philomath, regarding a burglary in progress. Shane William Johnson, 23, of Winchester, stole a trailer and a bag of recyclable cans from a barn, and was stopped by the owner before Johnson left the area. Johnson was arrested for Burglary II, Theft II, and Criminal Trespass II, and transported to the Benton County Jail, where he was lodged.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On June 13, 2021 at about 9:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident on the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Road, over the phone regarding a possible restraining order violation taken by the Junction City Police Department.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 12:12 PM, deputies were in the tree farm on SW 53rd Street near SW Willow Avenue performing follow-up for an assault investigation when they contacted a male and female in an RV named ALVIN FREAR, 36. FREAR had a confirmed felony warrant for his arrest out of Lincoln County which deputies cited and released him on.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Friday, June 11, 2021, at about 10:31 am, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to Motor Vehicle at the Benton County Fairgrounds located at 110 SW 53rd Street, Corvallis. A man reported his cargo trailer parked in one of the storage sheds was broken into. He stated no items were taken, and the only damage was to the lock, valued at $15. No suspect identified at this time.
ASSAULT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On June 8, 2021, deputies arrested MALIK ROBERT CROWELL, 19, for Driving while suspended misdemeanor, Reckless driving, Assault III, Reckless endangering, and Criminal mischief II after an injury traffic crash on Orchard Tract Road. CROWELL was cited in lieu of custody, as he was receiving treatment for major facial injuries at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center E.R.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On Sunday, June 6, 2021, at around 7:00 pm, deputies responded to the area of Old Peak Road, and Ada Drive for a report of gunshots heard. Deputies located three men shooting in the 24300 block of Abbey Lane. The men were told not to continue shooting until they had a safe backstop.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE FATAL - On Monday, May 31, 2021, at about 8:00 am, deputies responded to the 5000 block of Elliott Circle for a crash. They arrived and learned a garbage truck had backed over a pedestrian, Eugene Linwood Lang, 75. Lang was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with severe injuries and was pronounced deceased at 2:45 pm.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; ELUDE FOOT - On Saturday, May 29, 2021 at about 9:10 PM, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 223 near milepost #26 for a traffic violation. The vehicle refused to stop and Tire Deflation Devices were deployed in Philomath. The male, ROBERT MICHAEL PEDERSON, 38, of Salem, was taken into custody after he fled from the vehicle. PEDERSON was taken to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 10, 2021, at around 10:32 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white 1997 Chevrolet Blazer on SW Western Blvd and SW 3rd St. The driver, Zachary Spence, 35, was later issued a criminal citation for a warrant for Failure to Appear - Harassment from Benton County Circuit Court.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at about 8:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Independence Highway and Springhill Road for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies arrived and later arrested Dustin Lee Taylor, 47, on two confirmed warrants. Taylor was cited and later released at the corner of 2nd Street and Ellsworth in Albany.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 4, 2021, at 3:37 AM, deputies responded to the 26600 block of Starr Road in Monroe for a prowler complaint. A neighbor reported seeing three flashlights in a shop on the property. Upon arrival, the shop was secure and there was no indication anyone was there.
WARRANT ARREST - On 06/12/2021 at approximately 10:57 PM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Philomath Boulevard near Technology Loop. Deputies identified the driver as Donald Hendershot, 47, of Eugene. Hendershot was criminally suspended and wanted on two active warrants. Hendershot was issued citations in lieu of custody for his warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On 06/12/2021 at approximately 6:45 PM, deputies observed a suspicious person in a vehicle at Dari-Mart near 4th Street and Western Boulevard in Corvallis. They learned the vehicle’s registered owner, Ryan Ciplickas, 30, had an active arrest warrant. Deputies initiated a mere contact with the driver and confirmed he was the wanted subject and issued him a criminal citation in lieu of custody for his warrant.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On June 12, 2021, at around 3:37 PM, deputies spoke with a man who reported his RV was damaged from someone trying to break in. The damage occurred sometime during the past two weeks while stored at the Benton County Fairgrounds.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On June 12, 2021 at around 3:00 pm, deputies responded to Highway 223 and Priest Road for an injury motor vehicle crash where a motorcyclist with a passenger struck a deer. They were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On June 12, 2021, at around 11:38 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 Milepost 31 for a reported suspicious person. A man reported seeing a recently seen transient male`s possessions along the roadway, near Missouri Bend Park. He was concerned because he did not know if the man was on his property. He was advised to call Dispatch if he saw the man on his property.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On Friday, June 11, 2021 at 5:41 PM, deputies located an unoccupied stolen vehicle parked on NW 1st Street near NW Tyler Avenue in Corvallis. The vehicle was a white, 2008 Ford Econoline utility van which had been reported stolen to the Corvallis Police Department on June 4. Deputies cleared the vehicle for occupants and CPD Officers responded to coordinate the processing and recovery.
ROBBERY 3; BURGLARY 1; ASSAULT 4 - On June 12, 2021, at around 9:29 am, deputies were dispatched to the front lobby of the Benton County Sheriff`s Office for a reported assault. A man reported he was attacked by Zachary Spence, 34, while he slept in a trailer, which was parked in a vacant lot known as the "Tree Farm", located near the intersection of SW Willow Ave and SW 53rd St. Spence was later arrested for Burglary 1, Robbery 3, and Assault 4. Spence was transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 11, 2021, at around 10:30 am, deputies observed a silver 1998 Toyota Camry commit a traffic violation. Before they could conduct a traffic stop, the Toyota was involved in a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 99W and Tampico Road. The driver, Carisa Denton, 30, was later issued criminal citations for several State Parole Board warrants, and issued citations for traffic violations.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 11, 2021, at around 6:51 am, deputies were dispatched to Kings Valley Charter School for a suspicious circumstance. An employee reported receiving emailed videos from a woman, which showed her ex-spouse shirtless and with a gun. No crime found.
LITTERING - On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, deputies cited and released Cody James Norman, 30, of Lebanon, near Kings and Fillmore after they observed him throw a cigarette out of his vehicle near Harrison and Merrie.
THEFT OF SERVICES A MIS - On June 9, 2021 around 11:40 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a man by phone who reported his Allied recycling can had been stolen from his residence on the 38200 block of Kings Valley Highway, Philomath. He said he needed a case number to not be charged for a new recycling can. There is no suspect information at this time.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 5:28 p.m., deputies responded to the 4100 block of NE Hwy 20, Corvallis, 58, for a hit and run complaint. Robin Haddock struck a pump house causing damage to water mains. Hoddock was issued a citation for hit and run property damage.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE – On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 5:19 p.m., deputies responded to the 5200 block of NE Elliott Cir, Corvallis. A man reported his catalytic converter was stolen off his motorhome sometime in the three weeks prior to June 3rd. It is unknown the exact time of the theft, and there are no identifiable suspects.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Friday, June 4, 2021 at around 12:20 am, deputies attempted to stop a black Acura Legend for improper display hear Highway 99 and Circle. The vehicle fled east on Circle then East on Highway 20, the pursuit was terminated immediately.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at approximately 3:20 P.M., driver 1 was turning east onto Highway 20 from Granger Avenue and did not see driver 2 behind a vehicle and turned in front of her car. Unit 2 was struck on the driver`s side by Unit 1, which was driving west on Highway 20.
HARASSMENT AGGRAVATED - On Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2:33 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a report of an inmate who spit on a Deputy. TIMOTHY RICE, 33, was being escorted back inside the jail after having court at the Benton County Fairgrounds when he spit in Lt. JEWELL`S face twice, hitting him with saliva both times. RICE was cited for Aggravated Harassment (X2).
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 7:39 AM, deputies were dispatched to the Carriage House at the Benton County Fairgrounds located at 110 SW 53rd Street in Corvallis for an altercation involving two individuals associated with the inmate work crew. One man instigated a fight with another by trying to hit him from behind. One ended up being briefly knocked unconscious and fled before deputy arrival. The harmed individual did not want to be named a victim.
IDENTITY THEFT - On June 9, 2021 around 9:10a.m, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone. She reported someone had attempted to use her information to receive unemployment benefits and said they needed a case number to have the application nullified. There was not any suspect information.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; WARRANT ARREST; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On June 8, 2021, at about 12:50 p.m., deputies were driving west on SW Avery Avenue at about SW Allen Street when they saw ALEXIS CARRILLO, 23, walking on the railroad tracks and committing Criminal Trespass I. Deputies attempted to contact CARRILLO but she walked quickly in the other direction. They were able to catch up to her at SE 3rd Street and SE Hopkins Avenue. They stopped and arrested CARRILLO for Criminal Trespass I, and confirmed warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court, Jackson County Circuit Court, and Albany Municipal Court. They issued citations for the crimes and warrants in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 8, 2021 at approximately 11:51 am, deputies were preparing to release SHAW, Nathaniel, 25, from custody after he had served his jail sentence when they learned a warrant had been issued by Albany Municipal Court. An active A-Muni warrant was confirmed and served. Albany Police Dispatch provided a court date. SHAW signed a release agreement, which was forwarded to the court.
WARRANT ARREST - ON JUNE 7, 2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 4:40 PM, MARKS, STEVE, 50, REPORTED TO THE FRONT LOBBY DOORS OF THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL IN CORVALLIS, OREGON TO TURN HIMSELF IN ON A WARRANT. DEPUTIES LOCATED TWO BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANTS: CRIMINAL DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED CLASS A MISDEMEANOR BAIL 3000-00; AND CRIMINAL DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED CLASS A MISDEMEANOR BAIL 3000-00. MARKS DID NOT MEET LODGING CRITERIA. THEY ISSUED HIM A RELEASE AGREEMENT WITH A COURT DATE FOR THE BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT AND RELEASED.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 4:56 PM, Unit 1, a Chrysler PT Cruiser was westbound on Highway 20. Unit 2 was on Granger Avenue, a Honda Odyssey, and failed to yield right of way, turning left (eastbound) and striking the front passenger side of Unit 1. There were no injuries and both vehicles were towed due to damage. The driver of Unit 2 was cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 8:52 AM, deputies contacted a minivan and travel trailer in the south parking lot of the Benton County Fairgrounds. They ended up arresting three subjects inside the trailer; each had multiple confirmed outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. ANTONIA CODDINGTON, 31, was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked on her warrants and subsequently released. GERALD PAYSENO was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants. TERRY HERBERT was cited and released for his warrants at the scene due to health issues.
WARRANT ARREST - ON JUNE 4, 2021, ALEX RICE, 37, WAS GETTING RELEASED FROM THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL WHEN WARRANTS WERE LOCATED: CRIMINAL TRESPASS I, INTERFERING WITH A PO, OBSTRUCTION, AND THEFT 3. A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME WERE PROVIDED BY ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT. THE SUBJECT WAS RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 06/02/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:04 PM, HART, BOBBY GENE, 45, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST ON A WARRANT FOR FTA UUW, NO BAIL. HARP WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
MENACING; THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING - On June 2, 2021 around 3:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Orchard Street, for a burglary in progress. The resident reported Tess Maree Hahn, 23, had broken into his garage and deactivated the security cameras he had installed. Deputies issued Hahn a citation for Menacing and Theft in the Second Degree.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 1, 2021, at about 9:10 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash on Highway 20, about 300 yards west of the Highway 20 and Highway 34 intersection. The Toyota Tundra was stopped in traffic due to another traffic crash. The Mercedes failed to stop, thinking traffic was just slow. The driver of the Mercedes rear ended the stopped Toyota. The Toyota was driven from the scene and the Mercedes was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 27, 2021, at about 3:39 p.m., deputies responded to Decker Road at about MP 5 for a single vehicle, non-injury crash. A black, 2008 Mercedes C300 was eastbound when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and drove into the ditch. He stated the vehicle rolled and he waited for about 5 hours before he flagged someone down for a ride. A tow company removed the vehicle against his wishes, who wanted to tow the vehicle himself.
THEFT 1 - On Monday, June 7, 2021, at about 3:39 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Evergreen Road, Philomath, regarding a mail theft. A resident reported two checks, one for $1,000.00 and one for $5,000.00, were stolen from her mailbox around April 20, 2021. Today she found the $5,000.00 check in its envelope, opened, and in her mailbox. No attempts were made to cash the checks.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, June 7, 2021, at about 9:13 am, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to Motor Vehicle located on the 1600 block of SW Allen Street, Oregon. A man reported his wallet stolen from his unlocked vehicle sometime between June 6, 2021, 1:00pm, and June 7, 2021, 8:30am. He found the wallet in his garbage can, missing $990 in cash.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 6/5/2021 at around 6:00 PM, deputies arrived at the first OSU gate on Sulphur Springs Road after you pass Soap Creek Road. There was a tent set up in the parking lot like someone was camping there. Deputies spoke with a male in the tent and explained to him this was OSU property and it was for day use only. Deputies advised him of a few places around that he could tent camp. He said he would pack up his tent and leave.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Saturday, June 5, 2021, at about 3:12 pm, deputies were dispatched to a disorderly conduct on Highway 20 near milepost 37, Blodgett. Lisa Guerrin, 55, was throwing things at passing cars and attempted to kick them. Deputies cited Guerrin for Disorderly Conduct II, transported her to Corvallis, and released her on 3rd Street in Corvallis.
DUII - On June 5, 2021, at 1:52 AM, deputies stopped Gabriel Servo, 21, of Portland, on Van Buren Avenue near 4th Street in Corvallis for Driving the Wrong Way on a One Way. They later arrested Servo for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Servo was cited and released to friends.
DWS MIS - On Friday June 4, 2021 at about 8:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 34 near Highway 501. The driver, ROBERT DEAN MOON, 60, of Eugene, was cited for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). MOON was cited and released in the field.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On June 4, 2021, at around 11:49 am, deputies were dispatched to Territorial Highway, near Milepost 1, for an abandoned vehicle. The registered owner reported selling the silver 2000 Volkswagen Bug one month earlier. The Volkswagen was later towed for being a traffic hazard.
ESCAPE 2 - On 6/1/2021 at around 11:30 PM, Timothy Rice, 33, was at the Benton County Fairgrounds, where they are holding trial in the auditorium instead of the courthouse due to COVID19, for a jury trial. Deputy Resnik was the court security watching Rice. Rice got up at went toward the west wall where there is a door to the outside. Deputy Resnik held the door to prevent Rice from escaping the temporary courtroom. Rice went back and sat down at the table with his lawyer. On 6/2/2021, deputies issued Rice a citation for Attempted Escape II for his actions on 6/1/2021.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, May 31, 2021, at approximately 12:45 pm, deputies stopped a silver Toyota 4Runner driven by Jason HELLMAN, 49, near NW Gibson Hill and NW Crocker Lane for expired registration. HELLMAN was later arrested for DUII and processed at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office. He was released to a sober family member.
DOG BITE - On 05/30/2021 at approximately 4:28 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 24100 block of Gellatly Way to assist medics with a dog bite. Upon arrival, the dog was secured in a separate room. An adult male was badly injured from several dog bites. Medics transported the male to the hospital via ambulance.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS - On Saturday, May 29, 2021, at about 3:30 P.M., deputies arrested Richard Grady Holloway, 43, of Dallas, after crashing his vehicle on Highway 99W near Mcfarland Road. Deputies issued Holloway a criminal citation for DWS-Misdemeanor, DUII-Drugs, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering. Holloway was left in the care of Good Samaritan Hospital staff.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 29, 2021, at around 10:35 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of NW Lewisburg Ave and Highway 99W. A Toyota Prius was struck by a piece of wood that fell off of a Toyota Tundra as the two vehicle passed each other on Highway 99W. Damage to the Prius exceeded $2,500. No reported injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, June 6, 2021, at about 9:25 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Chevy Trailblazer on Ellsworth Street near 1st Street in Albany. They contacted and identified Heather Nichole Gawn, 28. Gawn had a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Gawn a criminal citation before releasing her at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, June 6, 2021, at about 3:35 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford F150 for expired registration on Highway 20 near milepost 32. They contacted and identified the driver as Robert Edward Menke, 56, of Salem. Menke had a confirmed warrant out of Oregon State Parole Board. Deputies transported Menke to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 6, 2021, at around 2:00pm, deputies located Tara Gill-Stephens, 27, walking improperly along Highway 20, near Milepost 9. Gill-Stephens had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Disorderly Conduct 2. Gill-Stephens was issued a criminal citation and released at the scene.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 5, 2021 at about 9:24 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25100 block of Alpine Rd. A resident reported someone possibly trespassing in a bus parked on the property. The bus was unoccupied and a desk lamp was turned on inside. She suspected the neighbor kids possibly turned the light on. Nothing was missing or damaged.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS W/ FIREARM - On June 5, 2021 at approximately 8:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Independence Hwy and Ryals Rd for a report of UNKNOWN persons shooting at the Benton County gravel storage lot. A nearby neighbor started shooting on his property, causing the UNKNOWN suspects to flee the area. Deputies were unable to locate the UNKNOWN suspects and went to speak with the resident who met them outside his residence with a rifle and refused to put it down at first. The man eventually put the rifle down and spoke to deputies. He admitted to target shooting at some flowers in his garden, but denied doing so to scare or cause alarm to the UNKNOWN suspects. He was less than cooperative during this investigation and, at one point, was placed in handcuffs while deputies finished the investigation. The man was cautioned about Menacing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, June 5, 2021, at about 4:10 P.M., deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on Highway 99W near milepost 87. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the driver of one vehicle was transported to Good Samaritan Emergency Department after suffering apparent minor injuries.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On June 5, 2021 at about 1:13 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NW HWY 99W. A resident reported hearing people outside with wrenches messing with her bus. Units were unable to locate anybody in the area.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday June 4, 2021 at about 11:00 PM, deputies contacted KAITLIN QUINN BARBER, 26, in Alsea on the side of the Highway. BARBER was not sure where she was and was clearly under the influence of drugs, so they offered her a ride to Philomath to a phone. While en route to Philomath from Alsea, Dispatch advised BARBER had two outstanding warrants: one out of Lane County Circuit Court and the second out of Florence Municipal Court. Deputies transported BARBER to the Philomath market where they issued her citations on the warrants and she was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, June 4, 2021, at about 8:40 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on Independence Highway near milepost one. They contacted and identified Christopher Lee Meahan, 39, who had a confirmed contempt of court warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Meahan a criminal citation before releasing him at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, June 4, 2021, at about 8:15 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a blue Lincoln Navigator at Highway 20 near milepost 6. They contacted the driver and identified her as Trinity Dolores Mendez, 35. Mendez had a confirmed contempt of court warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Mendez a criminal citation before releasing her at the scene.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; THEFT 3 - On Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:09 AM, a man reported he found the padlock on the cable barrier which prevents vehicles from driving down to the river at Irish Bend Park had been cut and was missing. Benton County Parks & Natural Areas was contacted and stated they would replace the lock.
THEFT 3 - On June 3, 2021, at around 2:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 37000 block of Soap Creek Rd for a reported theft. The resident reported someone stole the cash box containing $50 from her egg stand on June 2, between 5:15 pm and 7:00 pm. No current suspects.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2:12 PM, deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Parole & Probation Division of the Benton County Sheriff`s Office at 180 NW 5th Street in Corvallis for a subject with a felony warrant. ETHAN HAWKSFORD, 22, was cited and released for his confirmed warrant at the request of the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Thursday, June 3, 2021, a woman reported she was driving southbound in her Nissan Cube on SW 53rd Street at approximately 11:25 PM on June 2 when she entered the roundabout at SW West Hills Road. An older red pickup truck entered the traffic circle at the same time from the west via West Hills Road. An occupant of the pickup threw a jug of milk at her vehicle, which exploded and cracked the driver’s side headlight housing. She said she did not observe the license plate or the make/model of the suspect pickup.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 3, 2021, at around 10:16 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Nebergall Loop NE for a reported burglary. The resident reported that three chainsaws were stolen from a barn sometime within the past week. No current suspects.
LITTERING - On June 2, 2021, at 4:54 PM, deputies were stopped at a red light on Highway 34 near Peoria Road in Corvallis when they observed David Noble, 56, throw a cigarette butt out his car window. Noble was stopped and cited into Linn County Circuit Court for Offensive Littering.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 4:20 PM, deputies stopped ERON COUCH, 30, who was riding a bicycle near NW 14th Street & NW Greeley Avenue. Couch had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest and was cited and released on his confirmed warrant at the request of the Benton County Jail
DWS MIS - On Monday, May 31, 2021, around 2:40 A.M., deputies arrested Daniel Deluca, 44, of Cheshire, for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor after they stopped him on Highway 99 near Lewisburg Avenue. Deluca was issued a criminal citation.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, May 30, 2021, at about 5:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to an injury crash on Plymouth Drive near milepost one. They arrived and saw a 2014 Toyota Venza on the east side of the road with front end damage and roof damage. When they went to speak to the driver of the vehicle, they heard her state to the medic on scene that she "took the corner way too fast." Decker was issued a traffic citation for careless driving and the Toyota was towed.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On May 29, 2021, at around 3:08 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a blue Honda Accord on Highway 34 MP 1. The driver, Jordyn Smith, 31, of Roseburg, was later arrested for DUII. Smith was issued criminal citations for DUII, Reckless Driving, and a Yamhill County Circuit Court warrant for UUV (2x). Smith was also issued citations for DWS-V, Driving Uninsured, Illegal Display of Plates, and Operation of an Unsafe Vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 29, 2021, at around 1:46 pm, deputies were talking with Andrea Dorman, 35, in the parking lot of Super 8 Hotel when Dispatch informed them Dorman had a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear - Criminal Trespass 1. Dorman was issued a criminal citation for warrant.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 – On May 27, 2021, at about 12:30 a.m., about 10 dozen eggs were thrown against the buildings and sidewalk at Crescent Valley High School. Two bottles of syrup were also poured out onto the buildings.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 12:48 PM, DEPUTIES located CASEY LANPHEAR, 33, on the front porch of residence on the 900 block of NW Van Buren Avenue in Corvallis. LANPHEAR had multiple confirmed felony and misdemeanor warrants which he was arrested for. LANPHEAR was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at around 6:36 am, deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Hewett Rd for a report of a possibly abandoned vehicle. The caller reported his neighbor had come across the vehicle in question on Hewett RD and it had apparently crashed and rolled moments before. Deputies were able to contact the registered owner via phone who said he scheduled for it to be towed.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at about 6:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to a missing child on the 5100 block of NE Elliot Circle, Corvallis. They arrived and spoke to a father who stated their three-year-old son had gone missing in a fenced yard. After searching for ten minutes his son was located hiding in a car in the driveway playing "hide and go seek". The child was safely reunited with his family.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Highway 20 near milepost 49. The driver stated she fell asleep and crashed, rolling the vehicle multiple times. Both occupants were transported to the Good Samaritan and the vehicle was towed.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, May 31, 2021, around 10:50 P.M., deputies responded to a burglary call on the 24300 block of Price Creek Road. The property was searched and determined the family dog was inside the residence.
THEFT 2 - On Monday, May 31, 2021 at around 8:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to a call of a theft of a cell phone from Ellmaker State Park. The caller left her cell phone in the restroom. She used a GPS application to locate the phone. It showed the phone near Highway 20, and Porter Rd. She called the phone and the call was answered, but no one said anything. The phone call ended and phone turned off. No further GPS information.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On Monday, May 31, 2021, around 12:45 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99 near milepost 98 for a female approaching houses, asking for a lighter and phone. Deputies arrived and located the female on the side of Highway 99. She said she was looking for a phone to get a ride to a residence off Dawson Road. She said she had been walking from Junction City. Deputies gave her a ride to Dawson Road and dropped her off at the driveway to the residence.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, May 30, 2021 at approximately 12:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate a vehicle that may be stolen with occupants who may have been intoxicated. Deputies located the vehicle at approximately 1:15 P.M. at Fern Road near Aurora Lane. They spoke with the occupants, who did not appear intoxicated. Deputies checked the vehicle for stolen status and learned it was a rental vehicle that was not reported as stolen. Dispatch reported one of the occupants had an extraditable warrant through Colorado. When dispatch attempted to confirm the warrant, they were told Colorado did not want to extradite.
DUII - On May 29, 202, at 11:42 pm, deputies stopped Justin Andrew Santini, 38, on North 9th Street near Main Street in Philomath for Failure to Drive within Lane, and Improper Left Turn. they later arrested Santini for DUII, after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Santini refused to provide a breath test. Deputies obtained a Telephonic Search Warrant and seized a blood specimen from Santini. Santini was cited and released to a sober family member.
BURGLARY 2; UUV; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On Friday, May 21, 2021 at 12:18 pm, deputies were dispatched to Pettibone Drive & Granger Avenue for a suspicious vehicle. There they located a 33` 2018 Outdoors RV brand camper trailer which had been stolen from a storage facility on Storage on Elliott Circle and not yet been reported. The current owners of the trailer were contacted and a tow company assisted them in transporting it.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, May 31, 2021, at about 6:22 pm, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to Motor Vehicle located on the 8600 block of NW Peavy Arboretum Road, Corvallis. A man reported his vehicle was broken into by breaking a widow and two jackets with miscellaneous items in the pockets was stolen. Total stolen property value is $182.00, and $250 valued damage to vehicle. No suspect identified at this time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY – On Monday, May 31, 2020, at about 10:54 am, deputies were dispatched to a single motorcycle crash located on Marys Peak Road, Milepost 8, Philomath. A man rode his 2015 Triumph motorcycle into soft material at the edge of the road while negotiating a corner, lost control, and crashed. The rider was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by ambulance and the motorcycle was towed from the scene.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; ELUDE VEHICLE; PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; ELUDE FOOT - On May 31, 2021 at about 2:30 am, dispatched informed local units that Albany PD had a gray 4-door Honda with no plates drive off during a traffic stop. At about 3:10 am, deputies located the vehicle northbound on Scenic and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect failed to stop and was pursued into Dallas. Deputies arrested Douglas William Reyes, 32, of Salem, after a short foot pursuit. They transported Reyes to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged for Elude, a Parole Violation warrant and reckless endangering.

Unit 1, a gray 2007 Honda Element, was westbound on Greenberry Road when the driver said she experienced a steering malfunction while negotiating a left curve in the road. The vehicle left the roadway, rolled, and landed on its tires about 20 feet from the pavement. The driver had no apparent injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Sunday, May 31, deputies were dispatched to Tobe Creek Road near milepost 1 for a suspicious vehicle. They arrived and saw a black 2003 Volkswagen Jetta parked on the side of the road. Deputies drove Tobe Creek and found the registered owner about four miles from the vehicle with a hiking pack on. The man said he was out for a hike and was going to be leaving when he returned to the car.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, May 30, 2021, at about 10:17 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of NW Overlook Drive, Corvallis, Oregon regarding a suspicious person. One of the residents of the home suffers from dementia and was having trouble recognizing the purpose of the caretaker’s presence. Deputies were able to get the resident to accept the caretaker as a person there to render medical assistance.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 29, 2021 at approximately 3:54 pm, MICEK, Brittney, 22, turned herself into the jail on a warrant for DUII. A new court date and time was given.
FOUND PROPERTY - On Saturday, May 29, 2021, at about 3:29 pm, deputies took a report for found property located near NE Springhill Drive and NW Scenic Drive, Albany, Oregon. Two bicyclist found a checkbook and passport for people who live out of the area. Both owners of the property found reported the items were taken from their mailbox. The items were destroyed as requested by the owners.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On May 29, 2021, at around 12:52 pm, deputies were dispatched to a reported trespass on the 18600 block of Highway 34. A resident reported a red Ford F150 drove onto her property and then drove away at a high speed after she tried to confront it. The Ford was later located, and the driver explained he had been lost. No crime found.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On Saturday, May 29, 2021, at about 10:06 am, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Correctional Facility located at 190 NW 4th Street, Corvallis, regarding a Violation of a Release Agreement. Jeffrey Reeves, 36, violated a Benton County Circuit Court Release Agreement by having direct contact with the victim listed on the agreement by a phone call made from the jail. Reeves violated the Release Agreement a second time, by indirectly contacting the victim, by a second phone call made from the jail, telling a relative to call the victim. Deputies completed a Probable Cause Affidavit for arrest for Violating Release Agreement x2, and delivered it to the jail.
DUII; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On May 29, 2021 at about 2:35 am, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Hwy 20. The caller reported a vehicle parked in her driveway that ran into a fence. The caller also reported the male driver was possibly intoxicated. Deputies contacted the driver, Javier Hernandez Sanchez, 48. They arrested Javier for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Javier was released to his friend and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On 05/28/2021 at approximately 11:00 PM, deputies responded to the 23800 block of Maxfield Creek to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, they contacted Kathrin Bly, 49, and Jimmie Barton, 47. Both Bly and Barton had warrants for their arrest. Bly was issued citations in lieu of custody. Barton was transported to the Linn County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 28, 2021, at about 10:00 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on 3rd Street near Twin Oaks Circle on a Honda CRV. Deputies identified the driver as Jeremy Joseph Marchand, 43. Marchand had four confirmed warrants out of various agencies. Deputies issued Marchand criminal citations before releasing him at the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 28, 2021 at approximately 11:40 am, STRAIT, Cory, 23, turned himself into the jail on a warrant for FTA- Resisting arrest. A new court date and time was given to appear.
THEFT 2 - On May 28, 2021 a resident on the 4200 block of NW Glenwood Avenue reported the theft of a Remington Chainsaw from his front yard the previous night. No suspects or video evidence.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 28, 2021, at about 12:00 A.M., deputies I initiated a traffic stop on a purple Honda with expired registration. I contacted the passenger, Erin Winona Mcclung, 29, and learned she had a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Theft II. Deputies issued Mcclung a criminal citation and released her at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, May 27, 2021, at about 11:20 P.M., deputies contacted Mindy Ann Krieg, 41, in a vehicle on 1st Street near Van Buren Avenue. Krieg had a confirmed warrant for disorderly conduct out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Krieg a criminal citation and released her at the scene.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Thursday, May 27, 2021, at about 8:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to Lester Avenue near Highland Drive for a report of a male swinging a light on a chain. They arrived and located the male in the Chip Ross parking area. The male was not committing any criminal acts and stated he was simply lost. Deputies gave him a courtesy ride to Corvallis and dropped him off at Central Park.
IMPROPER USE OF 911 - On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at approximately 8:11 PM, deputies were dispatched to "Safe Camp" located at 4515 SW West Hills Road, Corvallis for report of a disturbance. A woman had called 911 without an emergency to report and had been yelling and causing a disturbance at the location. Deputies told the woman to go to bed and warned her she would be arrested for Improper Use of Emergency Communications System if she continued to call 911 without an emergency to report.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 3:55 PM, a concrete mixer truck was traveling southbound (uphill) on Sulphur Springs Road while negotiating a left-hand corner, just south of Forest Springs Lane. A male was riding a skateboard northbound (downhill) on Sulphur Springs Road when he lost control and crossed into the oncoming lane. PERKINS was able to come to a stop to avoid running the skateboarder over. The male struck the front passenger side tire of the truck with his right buttock before sliding into the ditch on the west side of the road. The skateboarder, who had been wearing a helmet, was transported by Medics to Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 5/26/21, DAVID BARBOSA, 40, WAS SENTENCED AND WAS GOING TO BE RELEASED. A RECORDS CHECK FOUND HE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA THEFT II, OUT OF CLARK CO. BARBOSA WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, around 10:15 P.M., Nicole Francois-Bergstrom, 43, of Junction City, was arrested for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor near Howard Lane and Lingo Lane. A criminal citation was issued.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, around 9:15 P.M., Mitchell Larkin, 30, of Springfield, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant and Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor near 5th Street and Ash Street in Monroe. Larkin was released with criminal citations.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 5/25/21 at about 6:22 am, deputies drove up on a Toyota pickup in the ditch on Bellfountain Rd just south of 53rd St. A driver was towing a flatbed trailer northbound on Bellfountain Rd. The trailer came off the hitch causing the vehicle to fishtail and breaking the tow chains. The vehicle entered the east ditch and the trailer entered the west ditch. The driver called a friend to pull the truck and trailer from the ditch. Both the trailer and truck were driven away from the scene.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Monday, May 24, 2021 at approximately 2:05 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center for a harassment complaint. they arrived and spoke with a woman who told them that while she was at the Corvallis Municipal Court, she was yelled at by the mother of her son’s victim. She said she was yelled at because the mother thought she was taking photos of them. She wanted this reported in case deputies could speak to them or if they tried to complain about her.
THEFT 2 VEH PARTS/ACC; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On May 23, 2021, at around 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W Milepost 80 for an unlawful entry to a motor vehicle. A man reported that someone had broken the window of his 1999 Chevrolet Blazer during the night while it was parked along the highway after running out of gas. He reported several minor items and the vehicle battery were stolen. No current suspects.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII - On 5/22/21 at about 11:36 pm, deputies stopped Cody Valentine Beck, 31, of Salem, on HWY 223 near Hoskins for several traffic violations. Deputies arrested Beck for DUII and Reckless Endangering. They transported Beck to the Philomath Police Department where he refused a breath test. They then transported Beck to the Good Samaritan Hospital where they executed a search warrant for a blood sample. Beck was released to a friend.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 9:45 AM, deputies stopped a red Ford Ranger pickup on Highway 99W near Circle Boulevard in Corvallis after learning the passenger, ANTHONY JACKSON, 39, had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Deputies cited and released JACKSON for two confirmed misdemeanor warrants.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 21, 2021 at 4:21 PM, deputies stopped a red Chevy pickup near 9th Street and Circle Boulevard in Corvallis for a traffic violation. They arrested the driver, JOHN MASTERSON JR, 54, for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and multiple confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrants. MASTERSON was issued criminal citations with court dates in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 21, 2021, at about 12:55 A.M., deputies contacted Gene Anthony Carnes, 20, on Hickory Street near North Albany Road. Carnes had a confirmed warrant for Probation Violation out of Lebanon Municipal court. Deputies issued Carnes a criminal citation before releasing him at the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, May 20, 2021 at about 1:08 pm, deputies were was dispatched to the area of Highway 34 near milepost 29 for a single vehicle rollover crash. The driver stated she was traveling west on Hwy 34 when she became drowsy. She stated she fell asleep causing her vehicle to leave the roadway. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top. She stated she was not injured. A tow company removed the vehicle from the roadway.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On May 18, 2021, deputies spoke to a resident on the 4700 block of SW Nash Ave by phone. They reported the previous night someone struck their mailboxes, address marker and tore off some wood around an electric pole with their vehicle. There are no suspects.
THEFT 2 VEH PARTS/ACC - On May 18, 2021 at about 9:00 a.m., deputies spoke to Josh Hamann by phone. He reported the theft of a catalytic converter from a work van parked on the 6200 block of SW Reservoir Ave. There are no suspects.
DWS MIS - On Sunday May 16, 2021 at about 1:05 AM, deputies stopped a pick-up truck on 14th St. and Monroe Ave. for a traffic violation. Dispatch indicated the driver, JUSTIN CURTIS GILMORE, 34, was Suspended Misdemeanor. GILMORE was issued a citation in the field and released.
THEFT 3 - On May 12, 2021, deputies spoke to the resident on the 25200 block of Orchard Tract Rd, Monroe, by phone. He reported the theft of a package from his mailbox valued at $14.00.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at approximately 8:35 A.M., deputies stopped Ricardo Naranjo, 26, on Granger Avenue near Pettibone Drive after he was speeding in the school zone. Naranjo gave deputies his Oregon Identification Card and told them he was suspended. Dispatch advised Naranjo was Driving While Suspended-violation, and had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant through Albany Municipal Court, Contempt of Court, Bail 00. Deputies cited Naranjo for DWS-violation, Violating the designated speed for 38 in a 20 mph zone, and his warrant. Deputies explained both citations and court dates to Naranjo and then released him. Another driver drove the vehicle away from the traffic stop.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at approximately 1:55 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of Parole and Probation for Donald Lee Resue, 27, who had a warrant. Deputies cited and released Donald Resue on a confirmed Albany Municipal Court Warrant for Theft III, Bail 00. Deputies explained to Resue the citation and court date prior to releasing him.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On May 25, 2021, a resident called to report suspicious activity coming from the 24600 block of Evergreen Road, Philomath. She described unusual vehicle traffic, vehicle noise and dog continually coming on her property.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, May 24, 2021 at approximately 3:50 P.M., vehicle 1 was driving North on Highland Drive near Raider Way. The driver attempted to turn left onto Raider way and realized she was driving too fast. She attempted to brake, but pushed her accelerator instead, causing her to crash into a vehicle that was parked on Raider Way on the north side of the road.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On May 24, 2021, deputies gave a dog owner living on the 3200 block of Charmyr Vista Lane in Corvallis a warning. The warning was for allowing his two dogs running at large and onto the neighbor`s property acting in an menacing manner.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 21, 2021 at approximately 7pm, deputies stopped Cheyanne Baty-Skinner, 26, of Lincoln City, near 3rd and Polk in Corvallis. They arrested her for multiple warrants and transported her to the Lincoln County Jail.
MENACING; UNLAW USE OF WEAPON; WARRANT ARREST - On 5/11/2021 at around 4:15 PM, deputies responded to the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Rd to a reported disturbance. Samantha Meyer, 34, of Junction City, had 3 confirmed warrants and deputies transported her to the Lane County Jail for 2 of them.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On Monday, May 24, 2021, deputies were dispatched to contact a man concerning a theft from his vehicle. He told deputies on Friday, May 21, 2021, an unknown person broke his rear driver’s side window and stole items including a laptop and debit/credit cards. His vehicle was parked on the southwest corner of the Benton County Fairgrounds.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 5/19/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:35 PM, SPENCER, JONATHAN, 52, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR FTA DUII. SPENCER WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 5/19/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:02 PM, JAIL DEPUTIES RAN NOLAN, ALLEN, 24, TO PREPARE FOR RELEASE. HE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA INTERFERE. NOLAN WAS ISSUED A NEW COURT DATE.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD; IDENTITY THEFT - On May 24, 2021 around 9:00PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone, for a reported theft. The woman reported her debit card had been stolen and was used to make a purchase from Harbor Fright, in Albany. She said she needed a case number in order to get the purchases refunded, because the purchase from Harbor Freight was $252.00. Deputies gave her a case number, and will follow up with Harbor Freight during business hours
HARBORING A BARKING DOG - May 24, 2021 10:15 a.m., a dog owner living on the 4900 block of NW Dumbeck Ave in Albany received a warning for an ongoing issue of her dog barking and disturbing the neighbors.
LITTERING - On May 23, 2021, at around 7:32am, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NW Highway 99W for a report of criminal mischief. The resident reported that she saw her neighbor scatter her trash in her yard during the middle of the night. The neighbor stated she was paranoid and always making claims against him. Deputies advised her not to wait to call Dispatch for crimes, and the neighbor was advised to stay away from the reporter.
DWS MIS - On May, 22 2021 at about 9:45 PM, deputies were traveling west on Highway 20, Corvallis, near the intersection of Circle Boulevard. They observed a white pickup truck turn left onto Circle Boulevard from Highway 20, and almost crash into the vehicle in front of them. Deputies stopped the vehicle, driven by DAVID ERIC OLSEN, 56, and issued OLSEN a citation for Misdemeanor Driving While Suspended.
THEFT 1 - On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at about 2:02 pm, deputies were dispatched to a firearm theft located on the 25600 block of Springhill Drive, Monroe. The resident reported a .45 calibur Big Boy Mare’s Leg rifle stolen. His Big Boy Rifle was found in Gentry Bergstrom’s, 41, possession in Eugene. Deputies issued Bergstrom a citation for Theft I at the Lane County Jail where he is being lodged on a US Marshall hold.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On May 21, 2021 12:15 p.m., deputies transported a stray dog at large from Misty Acres Drive in Alsea to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was picked up by his owner a few hours later.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - MICHAEL BROWN, 36, SUBJECT TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BENTON COUNTY JAIL ON 5-20-2021 @ 12:11 PM ON A PV STRANGULATION WARRANT OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, CITE ONLY. A NEW COURT DATE WAS ISSUED AND THE SUBJECT WAS RELEASED.
HARASSMENT - On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at approximately 9:26 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a woman regarding threats made against her daughter. Deputies later spoke to the daughter by phone who said she had been receiving threatening text messages from a man. Deputies were unable to locate him and advised her to apply for a stalking order at the Benton County Circuit Court and contact them if she obtained information where he may be so they could contact him.
THEFT 2 VEH PARTS/ACC - On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at approximately 5:39 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Fitton Green trailhead in the area of 900 NW Panorama Drive for report of license plates which had just been stolen from a vehicle parked there. A man had returned to his vehicle to find an approximately 20-30 year old male switching the license plates from another vehicle to his. The suspect fled in a grey or light blue colored Honda Accord later found to be stolen after switching the plates on the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was not located and the victim’s license plates were registered as stolen.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 5/19/2021 at around 5:00 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 approaching Mile Post 34. The driver saw a semi-truck going eastbound and believed it was coming into her lane of travel. She said she hit her brakes, over corrected and drove into the ditch area and rolled the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on the passenger side in the ditch area. A tow company arrived and towed the vehicle due to the damage.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 05/19/21 Hubler, Derek, 28, of Bend, turned himself in at the Benton Co jail on a Benton Circuit warrant for PV-encg chld sex abuse. Deputies served the warrant on Hubler.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 5/19/21 at approximately 12:15 am, Cynthia Marquez, 32, turned herself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a Benton County Circuit cite and release warrant for Delivery of Meth. Warrant was served and court date given.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 05/18/21 BAKER, James Lee, 21, of Lebanon, was getting released from Benton Co Jail when deputies learned Baker had a Lebanon Municipal warrant for FTA shoplifting. Deputies served the warrant on Baker.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday May 18, 2021 at about 12:15 AM, deputies stopped a van on 5th St at Monroe Ave. Dispatch indicated both passengers, RICHARD DEWEY HARDESTY, 49, and SELINA RENEE FORD-BLACKBURN, 36, had outstanding warrants. HARDESTY`s warrant was out of Linn County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- P.C.S. II and FORD-BLACKBURN`s was for Probation Violation - False Information. Both were cited and released in the field on the warrants.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, May 17, 2021, at about 4:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud on the 7400 block of Northwest Independence Highway, near Albany. They called and spoke to the victim who stated her Social Security Number was used to file taxes. She informed she was not out any money, but needed a case number to be able to make a claim and file her taxes. She said she had no idea who would have used it. Deputies provided her with a case number and informed her to look at bank statements and other recourses to confirm her identity is not being used in other means.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, May 17, 2021, at about 3:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 20 near Northwest Independence Highway. They arrived and spoke with the driver of vehicle 1, who stated he was rear ended and the other driver had no insurance. His red Nissan Versa was rear ended by a silver Jeep Cherokee with minimal damage. The driver of the Jeep stated he had no insurance and was "creeping forward" and ended up rear ending the Nissan while on Independence Highway. The driver of the Jeep was issued a citation for Driving Uninsured and for Following Too Close. The remainder of the information was provided between parties. No tow needed for either vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, May 16, 2021, at about 2:03 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Hwy 20 Milepost 43, Philomath. A 2005 Nissan Titan was stopped in the eastbound lane with the left turn signal activated waiting for westbound traffic to clear to turn northbound on Priest Road. A 2013 Volkswagen Passat was traveling eastbound on Hwy 20, failed to see the Nissan stopped in front of him, and crashed into the back of the Nissan. All occupants of both vehicles had no apparent injuries, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 11, 2021 at approximately 1:36 pm, DENAULT Jason, 31, was transported from Multnomah Co. Jail via the prisoner transportation shuttle. Upon DENAULT`S arrival at the Benton Co. Jail, a valid Lebanon Municipal Court Warrant was located and confirmed. The warrant was served and a court date was issued by Lebanon PD as follows: FTA - Assault IV. A signed release agreement was forwarded to the court.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, May 23, 2021, at about 7:05 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford F150 for expired registration on Highway 20 near mile post 7. Deputies contacted the driver and identified him as Donald Spencer Ray Hendershot, 47, of Eugene. They later arrested Hendershot for Driving While Suspended-misdemeanor and a failure to appear warrant out of Josephine County. Hendershot was transported to the Benton County Sheriff`s office where he was released with criminal citations.
MISSING PERSON - On May 23, 2021, at around 11:59 am, deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of NE Fair Acres Dr. for a report of a missing person. A man reported his girlfriend missing from her house after frantically calling and asking him to come over immediately. He reported she is being stalked. During the investigation, the girlfriend arrived at her house. No crime found.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at about 7:45 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on Ellsworth Street near 1st Avenue. They contacted and identified the driver as Reina White Olbera, 41. Dispatch advised Olbera had a confirmed fail to appear warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court. Deputies issued Olbera a criminal citation before releasing her at the scene.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On May 22, 2021 around 6:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Mountain View Drive, Corvallis, because a man named, "LINSON," was allegedly trespassing on the property of the reporting person’s friend. LINSON LAVELLE JOHNSON, 50, had a warrant for his arrest for violating his parole. Deputies transported JOHNSON to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 22, 2021 around 4:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of 53rd Street, Corvallis for a reported vehicle crash. The caller said her neighbor had backed into the front of her vehicle, and was unwilling to exchange information. Deputies obtained his insurance information and gave it to her. The man told deputies an agent from Progressive was going to come and take care of everything for him, because he did not want to talk to her.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 VANDALISM - On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at about 7:37am, deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief on the 4600 block of NW Scenic Drive, Albany. A resident reported his daughter’s 2014 Mazda MZ3 was spray painted with gold paint, including a sketch of male genitalia, on the driver’s side. His Ring camera caught activity around the car at about 4:06am. Total value of damage to vehicle, $2,000. No suspect identified at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On 5/22/21 at about 5:42 am, deputies stopped Teresa Perez Hernandez, 30, for speeding 75/55 SB on HWY 99W near Greenberry. Teresa was Driving While Suspended and had a confirmed no bail cite and release Linn County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-DUII. The warrant was served and Teresa was given a Linn County Court date
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On 5/22/21 at about 1:05 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of HWY 99W for a report of three people pouring gas around a trailer near 5140 NW HWY 99w. Deputies contacted the resident. No odor of gasoline was present and the resident said he had two friends visiting him.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Friday, May 21, 2021, at about 6:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to an unlawful entry into a motor vehicle on the 8600 block of Peavy Arboretum Road. They spoke with the victim, who reported her wallet was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 21, 2021, at about 2:45 P.M., deputies contacted Steven Anthoney Young, 26, on Highway 20 near milepost 5 for improper positioning on the roadway. Dispatch advised Young had a confirmed warrant out of Linn County for Probation Violation. They arrested Young and issued him a criminal citation before giving him a courtesy transport into Albany where he was released.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On May 21, 2021, at around 12:54 pm, deputies were dispatched to Adair Park for a report of a suspicious person. Adair City employees reported arguing with a woman after she drove a golf cart into a restricted area near the city’s sewage treatment plant. They later talked with the woman, who agreed to stay out of the restricted area and not drive her golf cart on city streets.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 21, 2021 at 9:22 AM, Deputies went to the 3000 block of SW Chintimini Avenue in Corvallis to contact ERIN VAN NORSDALL, 44, who had been calling Dispatch over the past few days. VAN NORSDALL also had multiple felony warrants which Dispatch later confirmed. VAN NORSDALL was arrested on her warrants, which the Benton County Jail requested deputies issue her criminal citations with court dates in lieu of custody for.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On May 21, 2021, at around 8:30 am, deputies were dispatched to Santiam Christian High School for an unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle. A student reported that someone broke the window to her 2007 Honda Accord and stole a backpack, which contained a laptop, books, and wallet. She valued the stolen items at around $1230 in total. No current suspects.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On May 21, 2021 at around 2 am, deputies contacted Michael Newhouse near the 31600 block of Highway 99W south of Corvallis. A local resident thought Newhouse may have been walking around their carport area. Newhouse denied being on the homeowner’s property. Newhouse was walking to the Eugene area. He had a warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court. Deputies arrested Newhouse and transported him to the Linn County Jail in Albany where he was lodged. Deputies took Newhouse’s personal property to the Sheriff`s Office and entered the items into evidence for safekeeping.
PROBATION VIOLATION - On Thursday, May 20, 2021 at about 9:25 A.M., deputies assisted DHS at 193 E Alder Street, Alsea. Axel James Stewart Hanson, 38, was inside the residence. There is a no contact order through Linn County preventing Axel from contacting a female in the residence. Linn County DA`s office informed deputies a violation of the order would be a probation violation.
DWS MIS - On Thursday, May 20, 2021, at about 8:20 P.M., deputies arrested Dakota Tyler Ewing, 21, of St. Helens, for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor. Deputies issued Ewing a criminal citation before releasing him at the scene.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On May 18, 2021, deputies responded to the 26800 block of Cecil Lane, Alsea for a domestic disturbance over laundry. Tamara Lynn Eversull, 61, was arrested for harassment against another woman.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On May 18, 2021 around 9:00PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone. She reported a suspicious male claiming to work for an, "ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP," came to her door on the 1400 block of Seavy Avenue, Corvallis, around 8:30 PM. She described the male as a taller blonde, in his mid-thirties with long hair in a ponytail. She said he was driven to the residence in a newer white sedan, possibly a Volkswagen, driven by a Hispanic male. She thought it was suspicious people were at her house so late in the evening, and wanted the incident documented.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at about 6:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Granger Avenue for a vehicle crash. They arrived and observed a silver 2015 Nissan Quest, crashed on the east side of Highway 20. The driver said she was driving home from Portland and doesn`t remember how she left the roadway crashing into the power pole.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, May 17, 2021 at about 6:30 PM, deputies were serving a Stalking Order when Dispatch informed he had two outstanding warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. ANTONIO VINCENT SAPPLETON, 29, was issued a citation for both Warrants and released in the field.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON MAY 17, 2021 AT 10:00 AM, VOLBEDA, DAVID ALLAN, 57, TURNED HIMSELF IN ON A WARRANT OUT OF BENTON COUNTY FOR CRIMINAL TRESSPASS II. DEPUTIES PROVIDED VOLBEDA WITH A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME TO REPORT TO COURT. VOLBEDA SIGNED THE RELEASE AGREEMENT AND WAS RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 4:37 PM, deputies located DAVID LONGO, 45, hiding in an illegal camp in the wooded area near SW 6th Street & SW B Avenue in Corvallis. LONGO had multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest which were confirmed by Dispatch. LONGO was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On May 15, 2021, at around 1:44 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black 2011 Mazda 3 at SW Wake Robin Ave and SW Pickford St and later arrested the driver, William Scott, 25, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Deputies issued Scott criminal citations for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 14, 2021, at around 12:14 pm, deputies were dispatched to SW West Hills Road and SW 53rd Street for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. Unit 1, a blue 2017 Nissan Altima, was south on 53rd Street when unit 2, a white 2015 Nissan utility van, was east on West Hills Road, and drove into a roundabout in front of unit 1. No injuries were reported. The Altima was towed from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - Vehicle #1, driven by Ryan Wolfe, was stopped at the stop sign on NE Granger Ave., attempting to turn east onto Highway 20. Vehicle #2 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 approaching NE Granger Ave. Vehicle #1 turned left onto Highway 20 in front of Vehicle #2 causing the crash. Vehicle #1 came to rest on the north side of the roadway, Vehicle #2 came to rest on the south side of the roadway. A tow company arrived and towed both vehicles due to the damage from the crash.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 05/13/21 Elbinger, Luke, 29, was being released from the Benton County Jail when deputies learned he had a FTA Reckless Driving warrant out of Benton Co. Deputies served the warrant on Elbinger.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at approximately 6:59 PM, deputies were dispatched to Peavy Arboretum for report of an Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle. Dispatch reported a male and female in a blue Subaru Outback had been acting suspicious before leaving the immediate area where the victim’s 2013 Kia Sorento rear driver-side window was broken while he was hiking in the area. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and the Subaru and associated subjects were not located.
DUII - On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at about 9:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Commercial Street and 7th Street in Monroe for a report of Lawrence Allen Ozment II, 41, driving impaired in the area. Deputies later arrested Ozment for DUII. Ozment consented to a blood draw. And was issued criminal citations and released to a sober party at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at about 7:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Commercial Street in Monroe for a report of a possible domestic. They arrived and spoke with both parties and determined no crimes had been committed and advised both to argue quieter in the future.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 11, 2021 at approximately 9:15 am, COLLINS, Khalid, 24, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail on two valid Benton County Circuit Court warrants for DWS, USING INVALID LICENSE, BAIL $3,000 and 17CR77216 FTA - DUII, BAIL $6,000. A new court date was issued and COLLINS was released after having signed a release agreement to appear.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 05/11/21 ZANDOFSKY, April, 42, turned herself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for FTA Contempt. Zandofsky was cited and released with a new court date.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at about 11:20 P.M., deputies arrested Angel Rubio Ramirez, 25, for DWS-Misdemeanor at Highway 34 near milepost 1. Deputies issued Ramirez a criminal citation for the suspension and released him at the scene.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Saturday, May 8, 2021, at about 3:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to a burglary on the 29900 block of Highway 99W. Various bottles of alcohol were taken as well as two cases of beer. The front door was damaged in order to gain access into the business.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 7, 2021 at approximately 9:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Marys Peak Rd near milepost 8. Dispatch said a caller had seen a vehicle off the road, down an embankment, earlier in the day. Deputies located an unoccupied vehicle off the roadway and down the hillside. They were unable to locate an owner at the time. Deputies placed caution tape on the vehicle to prevent further calls.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 7, 2021 at approximately 7:30 pm, deputies arrested Andy Ray McNew, 34, for several confirmed warrants. Andy was cited and released on all the warrants.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On 5/6/2021 at around 6:30 PM, deputies arrived at the 3600 block of NW Oak Grove Dr. and spoke with a resident about someone removing a culvert from his field located on Dunbeck Ave. He said they installed the culvert for field access the week prior. Today he saw someone had pulled it out of the ground and broke it into the 2 pieces. The culvert was valued at $800.00. There is no suspect information at this time
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 6, 2021 at approximately 3:11 pm, BEGIN, Angela Christine, 41, reported into the jail on an Albany Muni court warrant for FTA-Contempt warrant. A new court date and time was given for BEGIN to appear.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 6, 2021 at approximately 3:07 pm, WYATT, Brenda, 45, turned herself into the jail on a warrant for FTA Theft 3 x`s 3 and PCS Meth. A new court date and time was issued.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 5, 2021 at approximately 11:03 am, DAVIS, Kameron, 21, turned himself into the jail on a warrant for FTA-Unlawful use of a weapon. DAVIS was given a new court date and time to appear.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:18 AM, a Kia Sorento SUV was travelling westbound on Highway 20 near Milepost 1.5 when it crossed into the oncoming lane while negotiating a right hand curve. The Kia struck a Toyota Tacoma pickup. The driver of the Kia was extricated from her vehicle and transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital for apparent serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota sustained apparent minor injuries which he later sought treatment for. Both vehicles were towed due to damage.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On May 4, 2021 at approximately 0914, JIMENEZ, Macayla, 25, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated she had an outstanding warrant by Lebanon Municipal Court, PV - Theft III, Bail $10,000. JIMENEZ was released after having signed a release agreement which was forwarded to the court.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 16, 2021 at approximately 10:23 am, TORRES, Teyre, 42, turned herself into the jail on a warrant for FTA Criminal DWS out of Linn county Circuit Court. A new court date and time was given to appear in Linn County.
DWS MIS; PAROLE VIOLATION - On May 17, 2021 around 11:45 PM, deputies responded to the 24600 block of Evergreen Road, Philomath and arrested JUSTIN CURTIS GILMORE, 34, and TONIE JEANETTA ATHILL, 32. They cited GILMORE for misdemeanor Driving While Suspended, and ATHILL for her Parole Violation warrant out of Lebanon.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT – On May 17, 2021 a gentleman who had been hiking on Dan’s Trail in Corvallis called to report he had been bitten by a leashed dog. The dog bite did not break skin. The owner is unknown.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, May 16, 2021 at about 11:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Harrison Blvd near 2nd St. for a traffic violation. The driver, AMANDA IDA MACINTYRE, 44, had an outstanding warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for F.T.A.- THEFT III. Deputies issued MACINTYRE a citation and she was cited and released in the field.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Sunday, May 16, 2021 at about 5:40 PM, deputies contacted a male on Van Horn Road who had located several burnt matches on the road. The matches stretched for about a half of a mile and were left there sometime during the day. Deputies contacted some Juveniles later near the area and informed them of the fire danger and let them know there was concern about the matches by citizens. The juveniles did not admit to using matches, but understood about the possible fire danger.
WARRANT ARREST - On 05/14/2021 at approximately 11:04 PM, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of South 26th Street in Philomath. They identified the driver of the vehicle as Justin Dyer, 38. Dyer had an active warrant for his arrest from the Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Dyer a criminal citation in lieu of custody for the warrant.
DUII DRUGS - On May, 5 2021 at about 4:00 AM, deputies were traveling south on 3rd Street, Corvallis, near the off ramp of Philomath Boulevard. They stopped ALEXANDER MICHAEL MAYBEE, 25, for having expired registration tags, and arrested MAYBEE for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 14, 2021, at about 9:30 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on Highway 20 near milepost 39. They arrested the driver, Stephen Duane McConnell, 42, of Waldport, for two warrants and issued him criminal citations before releasing him at the scene.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Friday, May 14, 2021 at 5:49 PM, deputies stopped a green Ford Ranger pickup on 5th Street near Harrison Boulevard in Corvallis after recognizing the driver and sole occupant as JASON HAYNES, 36, an individual with a suspended driver`s license as well as outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. HAYNES was arrested on his confirmed warrants and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was cited for DWS (Violation) and subsequently released by the jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 14, 2021, at about 3:31 p.m., Willis Argetsinger, 62, was contacted during a traffic stop at Independence Hwy and Pettibone Dr, Albany. Argetsinger had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt. Argetsinger was issued a citation for his warrant.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 4:30 PM, deputies arrested DAWSON DEWOLFE, 22, on a confirmed felony warrant on the 2600 block of NW Highland Drive in Corvallis. DEWOLFE was also in possession of a flashlight that was also an operational stun gun. DEWOLFE was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail on his warrant. DEWOLFE was also charged with the crime of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On May 12, 2021 around 2:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a reported assault. JOSHUA CULBERTSON, 23, of Twin Falls, ID, got in a physical altercation with SERGEANT MILLER. CULBERTSON was cited for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and for Harassment.
MIP - On May 11, 2021, deputies responded to Crescent Valley High School for a student with marijuana. The juvenile was cited for MIP marijuana.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On May 11, 2021 a resident reported two Stihl power tools were stolen from his unlocked vehicle. Value of the Chain Saw and Leaf Blower is $500.00. No suspect information.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, May 10, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the gravel lot on Alpine Road near Kyle Road for a trespass. They arrived and saw a brown motorhome. They spoke with the registered owner, James Calvin Kinkade, 65, of Sand Point, AK, and learned Kinkade had 4 confirmed warrants for his arrest. Deputies transported Kinkade to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged. The motorhome was moved from the property by an associate of Kinkade. Warrant info: Linn County Circuit Court, Contempt of Court; Marion County Circuit Court, Delivery of Methamphetamine; Columbia County Circuit Court, Possession of Methamphetamine; and Lebanon Municipal Court, Contempt of Court.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at about 7:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud complaint on the 5000 block of NE Elliot Circle. The resident reported someone applied for unemployment benefits using her Social Security Number. She said the claim was declined by her employer and she did not have any missing money or other fraudulent purchases. Deputies provided her with a case number and recommended she contact her bank and inform them as well as look into a personal security service.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at approximately 6:18 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and West Ingram Island Road for report of a motor vehicle crash. Driver 1 was in his 1993 Toyota pickup, south on Highway 99W turning left into a driveway near West Ingram Island Road, when driver 2 rear ended him in his 2006 Scion, causing moderate damage. Neither party was injured and both declined tows, stating they would make their own arrangements.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On May, 9 2021 at about 2:15AM, deputies were traveling west on Highway 20, near Ellmaker State Park, following a vehicle, and saw there was white light that could be seen coming from the passenger side tail light. Deputies stopped the vehicle in Ellmaker State Park and the passenger MICHAEL ALLEN COPPLE, 43, was arrested for a Parole Violation. Deputies took COPPLE to the Benton County Jail, where he was booked and lodged.
MAIL THEFT; THEFT 3 - On Friday, May 7, 2021, at about 8:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to found property on an access road off Bruce Road near milepost 1. They arrived and spoke with a woman who said she was riding her horse and came across a pile of opened mail in a field. Deputies observed approximately 40 pieces of opened junk mail in the field addressed to various people. Deputies collected the mail and returned it to the named persons on the envelopes. Only two residents reported missing any mail of value.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 7, 2021, at about 8:15 P.M., deputies arrested Aaron Scott Marmon, 33, for DWS-Misdemeanor and a fail to appear warrant and Dakota Tyler Ewing, 21, for two fail to appear warrants. Both subjects were issued citations and released at the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 5/7/2021 at around 4:45 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling eastbound on SW West Hills Rd., just east of SW Reservoir Rd., when his vehicle had a suspension problem and caused him to go off the south side of the roadway and crash into the ditch. There were deep gouges in the pavement where his front left tire was skidding. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch. The driver stated he was driving down the road and it felt like he hit something, even though he did not, and the vehicle skidded off the roadway.
WARRANT ARREST - ON MAY 7, 2021, MANDY SWITZLER, 43, WAS INCARCERATED AT BENTON COUNTY JAIL WHEN A WARRANT FOR CRIMINAL TRESPASS I -NO BAIL- OUT OF ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT WAS LOCATED. DEPUTIES ISSUED SWITZLER A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 5/6/2021 at around 8:45 PM, deputies arrived to a 2 vehicle crash at SW Airport Rd., and Bellfountain Rd. Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on SW Airport Rd., approaching Bellfountain Rd. Vehicle #2 was traveling northbound on Bellfountain Rd. approaching SW Airport Rd. Vehicle #1 did not stop at the stop sign and hit the right rear of vehicle #2, spinning it into the dirt bank on the east side of the roadway. Vehicle #1 came to a rest on the west side of Bellfountain Rd. Both vehicles were towed due to the damage from the crash.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY -TOYOTA WAS DRIVING WEST ON HIGHWAY 20 APPROACHING NE CIRCLE BLVD. DODGE WAS WAITING AT INTERSECTION FACING EAST TO TURN NORTH ONTO NE CIRCLE BLVD. DODGE FAILED TO YIELD RIGHT OF WAY AND TURNED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF TOYOTA. TOYOTA IMPACTED DODGE IN THE INTERSECTION. BOTH VEHICLES TOWED DUE TO DAMAGE. BOTH DRIVERS SUFFERED MINOR APPARENT INJURIES. NO DRIVERS TRANSPORTED BY EMT`S.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On May 6, 2021, deputies contacted William Leonard Turner and Rhonda Irene Deane, 44, in the South East Corner of the Fiserv Building parking lot at 4500 SW Research Way. Deane was arrested for Trespass. Turner was arrested on warrants and trespassed from the location.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at approximately 7:44 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of 26400 Boyd Lane, Monroe, for report of a female trespassing. They arrived and were advised the female had left on foot. They searched the area but she was not located.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 VANDALISM - On Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 1:07 PM, a female reported her Mini Cooper sustained $2,400 in damage from being hit by another vehicle while in the parking lot of 5520 NW Highway 99W on Saturday, May 1. There was no security camera footage available.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 12:22 PM, deputies cited and released JILL SOUVANNAKHOT, 35, of Junction City, for a confirmed misdemeanor warrant in the parking lot of 1113 NW 9th Street in Corvallis.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 6, 2021, deputies responded to a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash that occurred near the intersection of NW Van Buren Ave and NW 15th Street. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and the involved parties complained of no injury.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, around 12:50 A.M., driver 1 was south on Highway 99 near milepost 99.5 when she crashed her 2003, tan, Chevy Malibu into a tree on the east side of the Highway. She had facial injuries and was evaluated by medics but not transported to the hospital. The driver was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended Violation.
DELIVER HEROIN; ELUDE VEHICLE; DWS FEL; WARRANT ARREST; ELUDE FOOT; POSS HEROIN - On Friday, April 30, 2021, at 7:43 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on the 700 block of NE Circle Blvd, Corvallis. After a short elude, the driver, Billy Wilson, 38, ran from the vehicle. He was later apprehended by K9 Brutus. The passenger, Chanarrin Bob, 36, was arrested on warrants and delivery of Heroin.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 7, 2021, at about 12:35 A.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on Hickory Street near Springhill Drive and contacted Destiny Cheyanne Flesher, 22, in the vehicle. Flesher had two fail to appear warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court. Flesher was issued criminal citations before being released at the scene.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at about 4:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a violation of a restraining order on the 25900 block of Cherry Creek Road. The resident believed the suspect drove by his house on a four wheeler and flipped him off. He told deputies the operator of the four wheeler had a helmet on and he was not positive it was him. Deputies explained to the resident that they needed to be sure he was the one on the vehicle. Deputies attempted contact with the man, but were not successful.
THEFT 3 - On May 6, 2021, deputies spoke to a resident on the 20300 block of Highway 34. He runs a self-serve firewood station at that location. The payment box was pried open and cash was taken. There are no suspects at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 6, 2021, deputies contacted Rhonda Irene Deane, 29, in the southeast corner of the parking lot at 4500 SW Research Way. Deane was arrested for trespass.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at about 12:52pm, deputies were dispatched to a trespass located on the 28700 block of Irish Bend Road, Monroe. A man reported a suspicious vehicle parked on his private shore along the river. Once the occupants were found and identified, he approved their presence on the property.
DUII DRUGS - On May 3, 2021 around 5:30AM, deputies were dispatched to 3rd Street, Corvallis, near the intersection of 3rd Street and Airport Road, for a single vehicle rollover crash. The caller reported a grey SUV type vehicle had rolled over into the ditch off of the roadway. The driver of the vehicle, MARIA DEL CARMEN SALCEDO BRICENO, 38, of Cheshire, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Deputies issued BRICENO citations for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and violation Driving While Suspended.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On May 1, 2021, at around 11:53 am, deputies were dispatched to the 29900 block of Bellfountain Road for a hit and run. The resident reported that someone drove off the roadway the previous night and destroyed a section of barbed-wire fence line along Bellfountain Road. He estimated the damage at around $350. No current suspects.
DWS MIS - On Thursday, April 29th, 2021, at 1:24 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of SE 3rd St and SE Richland Ave, Corvallis. Jacob Myers, 26, was the driver and his license was suspended to the degree of a Misdemeanor in the State of Oregon. He was issued a citation and released on scene.
UNLAW POSS OF FIREARM; FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; FIREARMS TRANSFER BY UNLICENSED PERSON; POSS HEROIN (LESS THAN 1 GRAM); DWS FEL - On Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:58 AM, deputies stopped a black Toyota 4Runner on Lewisburg Avenue near Highway 99W for multiple traffic violations. They arrested the driver, DAMON SELVES, 39, of Salem, for Driving While Suspended (Felony) and Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon. They also arrested the passenger, BRYNDL DENHERDER, 25, of Salem, for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Transfer of a Firearm by an Unlicensed Person, and Unlawful Possession of Heroin (Violation). Both SELVES and DENHERDER were issued citations in lieu of custody.
CURFEW - On May 6, 2021, at 1:10 AM, deputies were dispatched to Monroe City Park, 24811 Highway 99W in Monroe for someone screaming. Upon arrival, deputies contacted four juveniles out past curfew. Deputies contacted the legal guardians for the juveniles and warned them all for curfew violation. All four juveniles returned home.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, around 12:50 A.M., Driver 1 was southbound on Highway 99 near milepost 99.5 when she crashed her 2003, tan, Chevy Malibu into a tree on the east side of the Highway. FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON - On Monday, May 3, 2021 at about 12:25 AM, deputies contacted JOSEPH DAVID PETERSON, 32, of Siletz, at Highway 20 and Harlan Burnt Woods Road inside a vehicle. Deputies arrested JOSEPH DAVID PETERSON for Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon. He was cited into Lincoln County Circuit Court and released in the field.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On Tuesday April 27, 2021 at about 12:00 AM, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1. The vehicle fled and was later located near the intersection of Jackson Ave. near Orchard Ave. The driver, RUDY FOKI FIFTA, 33, was arrested for D.U.I.I./Attempt to Elude/Reckless Driving and booked and released from the Jail.
UUV - On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at about 4:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 26000 block of Highway 99W for a report of a stolen vehicle. They arrived and spoke with the owner, who stated his 2017 Chevy Silverado pickup was stolen sometime that day between 6:00 am and 12:00 pm. The Chevy was later recovered by Lane County Sheriff`s Office. The owner made arrangements to retrieve the Chevy. No suspect information available.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On May 4, 2021 around 5:34 AM, deputies were dispatched to Granger Avenue, near Pettibone Drive, for a reported suspicious vehicle. The caller reported a black Toyota Tacoma was parked on the shoulder, partially blocking the lane of travel. They contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, who stated he had ran out of gas that morning. Deputies gave him a courtesy ride from his work on Elliot Circle back to his vehicle with fuel.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at about 12:30 AM, deputies saw a dark-colored passenger car drive by on Highway 34 near Southeast Ireland Lane with no visible license plate or temporary trip permit. The driver, Jeffery BLISS, 36, of Falls City, was arrested for Driving While Suspended- Misdemeanor and issued a criminal citation
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, May 3, 2021, at about 6:10 PM, deputies contacted Jacob Ellingsen, 37, on Highway 20 near milepost 7, west of Albany. Jacob had three confirmed Lincoln County Circuit warrants for Failure to Appear- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Burglary 2, and Failure to Appear- Possession of Methamphetamine. Additionally Jacob had two confirmed Linn County Circuit Court warrants for Failure to Appear- Assault 4 and Failure to Appear- Initiating a False Report. Jacob was issued citations for all warrants and was released.
BURGLARY 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Monday, March 3, 2021, at about 8:43 am, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of NW Scenic Wood Place, Albany, regarding a criminal mischief. The caller reported someone tampered with and broke a deadbolt on their residence sometime during the night while asleep. Total value of damage is $80.00. No suspect identified.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER; FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION; RESISTING ARREST - On Monday, May 3, 2021, around 12:50 A.M., deputies stopped a Ford Ranger on Highway 20 near Highway 180. Elijah Herrera, 30, of Albany, was arrested on an Albany Municipal Court warrant. Nikole Brown, 23, of Dundee, was arrested for Providing False Information to a Police Officer, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest, and a Yamhill County Circuit Court warrant. Herrera was issued a criminal citation. Brown was transported to the Yamhill County Jail because the Benton County Jail was closed.
ASSAULT 4; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On Sunday, May 2, 2021, at about 7:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to a welfare check at the intersection of NW Independence Highway and NW Springhill Road, near North Albany. They arrived after being told a female jumped out of a moving vehicle. Whitney DANIELS, 26, of Salem, was arrested for Assault IV- DV, Reckless Endangering, and Criminal Mischief II. DANIELS was brought to the Law Enforcement Center and given a release agreement form the Benton County Jail due to all cells being full and unable to accept her.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On May 2, 2021, at around 1:05 pm, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 99W, Milepost 101. The driver was north on Highway 99W when she lost control of her vehicle, a 2001 Honda Civic, and drove of the roadway. The Honda was towed from the scene and the driver was issued a citation for No Operator`s License.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On May 2, 2021, at around 11:31 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Primrose Loop for a suspicious circumstance. The resident reported hunters on her neighbor’s land shot a turkey. She believed the location was too close to other houses and wanted the hunters "educated." Deputies were unable to locate the hunters.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 2, 2021, at 12:22 AM, deputies observed a black 2006 Dodge Charger parked at the Finley Wildlife Refuge day use area near Bruce Road and milepost 1 in Monroe. They contacted the occupant, Dusty Risland, 33. Risland had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Felon in Possession of a Weapon, No bail. Risland was issued a new court date for the warrant.
MENACING; BURGLARY 2 - On Saturday, May 1, 2021, at about 6:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a trespass on the 5800 block of Highway 99W. Deputies arrived to speak with a man who stated a male was arguing with him in the store. The male suspect threatened him and stated "do you want to take a nine second nap?" No accurate video evidence showed the suspects face and no video of the truck was available.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UUV; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On May 1, 2021, at around 2:37 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25200 block of Llewellyn Road for a report of stolen vehicles. A man reported that two farm trucks had been stolen from a utility barn. The gray 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 and brown 2004 Ford F150 were believed to have been stolen earlier that morning, around 9:30am. The suspects were seen driving a white newer-model minivan with a black `V` or `W` on the door, a possibly gray-colored Toyota pickup truck, and a newer-model brown Dodge Ram with matching canopy.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On May 1, 2021, at 4:42 AM, deputies were dispatched to a convenient store on the 200 block of S 5th Street in Monroe for a male lighting a fire in the cigarette butt container. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a man who said he was cold and trying to get warm. The man said he was traveling to Wyoming and asked for a ride to Loves Truck Stop on Interstate 5/ Exit 238. The man put the fire out and deputies transported him to the location he requested
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, April 30, 2021, at about 11:25 P.M., deputies contacted Donald Spencer Ray Hendershot, 47, of Eugene, at Takena Landing, 600 Hwy 20. Hendershot had three confirmed warrants out of Clackamas County Circuit Court, Josephine County Circuit Court, and Linn County Circuit Court. Deputies arrested Hendershot and issued him criminal citations for the warrants before releasing him at the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On April 29, 2021 at about 11:15 a.m., at the request of Parole and Probation, deputies responded to their office at 180 NW 5th St and issued Darshan P. Sreshta, 26, a citation to appear for a confirmed Benton County Felony Warrant. The warrant was for Failure to Appear on a charge of Attempting to Commit a Class B Felony.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 1 - On 4/30/2021 at around 7:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident regarding someone entering her shop and stealing 2 mountain bike worth around $4300.00 total. They were taken sometime between 4/28/2021 and 4/30/2021. She said she did not know if the shop had been locked, but did not see any signs of forced entry. There is no suspect information at this time.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING - On April 30, at about 11:57 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Willamette River near river mile 123.5 for a marine patrol assist public. A boater was driving his Starcraft aluminum jet boat on the river when he drove it onto a gravel bar and got stuck. Deputies pulled the Starcraft free with the use of the BCSO patrol boat. The three occupants were able to safely get back into the Starcraft, and were able to drive back towards Bowman Boat Launch in Albany where they had put in. There was no visible damage to any boats or injuries to persons during the event.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, April 30, 2021 at approximately 1:00 pm, deputies arrested Richard Sather, 31, for driving while suspended misdemeanor and a confirmed warrant out of Benton County for driving while suspended misdemeanor.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; RECKLESS DRIVING - On April 30, 2021, at around 12:37 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Highway 99W Milepost 102. Luke Elbinger, 29, reported falling asleep and crashing as he drove north on Highway 99W in a black 1997 Acura CL. Elbinger was later issued criminal citations for Reckless Driving and Criminal Mischief 2, and traffic citations for Driving While Suspended - Misdemeanor, Driving Uninsured, and Failure to Drive Within Lane.
LITTERING - On Friday, April 30, 2021, at about 11:22am, deputies were dispatched to a criminal complaint located on the 1100 block of SE Alexander Ave, Corvallis. The caller reported finding several bags of garbage on the sidewalk against her fence. There is no suspect identified for offensive littering at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, April 29, 2021, at about 11:00 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop at Peoria Road near Highway 34. They contacted and identified the driver as Elijah Whitney Williams, 38. Williams had a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of court. Deputies arrested and issued Williams a criminal citation before releasing him at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 29, 2021, at around 11:37am, deputies conducted a welfare check on three small children walking alone at the intersection of NW 1st St and NW Tyler Ave. The children directed deputies to their father, Daniel Follett, 29, of Lebanon, who was in the parking lot of a motel. Follett was later criminally cited for a warrant from Lebanon Municipal Court for Failure to Appear - Driving While Suspended.
DUII - On April 28, 2021 around 10:10PM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Greenberry Road and Bellfountain Road, Corvallis, for a report of someone screaming and honking their horn as they were driving. The caller reported a minivan type vehicle went eastbound on Greenberry Road towards Highway 99. Deputies located a silver minivan located in the Grange Hall parking lot at the intersection of Highway 99 and Greenberry Road, occupied by THEODORE LEE JOHNSON, 61. Deputies arrested JOHNSON for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. JOHNOSON was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at about 6:20 PM, deputies stopped Austin Fisher, 27, on North Albany Road near Quarry Road for an Albany Municipal Court warrant. Deputies identified Austin from a mere contact on Gibson Hill Road. Austin was issued a citation for a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of Court.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 23, 2021 at approximately 2:00 pm, FLASKA, Asia turned herself into the jail on a warrant for FTA crimes against another person. A new court date and time was given for FLASKA to Appear.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Friday, April 23, 2021 at about 8:24 am, deputies were dispatched to the 24400 block of Richard road for a possible trespass in progress. Dawson Edward-King, 25, was arrested for Criminal Trespass I and Criminal Mischief III.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 21, 2021 at about 12:40 AM, deputies observed a Silver Honda sedan displaying a Texas plate fail to signal 100 feet prior to a turn from Bundy Rd onto Eureka Rd. They stopped the vehicle for the traffic violation and identified the passenger as Alfredo Garcia-Gomez, 24. Deputies learned that Garcia-Gomez had 3 warrants for his arrest. He was transported to the Lane County jail where he was lodged. The warrant information is as follows: 1)COOS COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT Failure to appear-DUII Bail $10000; 2) LANE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT Failure to appear- CONTEMPT OF COURT Bail $5000; and 3) LINN COUNTY JUSTICE COURT Probation violation- Failure to appear Bail $7500.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Monday, April 19, 2021, at about 3:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief call on the 5200 block of Northeast Pettibone Drive, near Corvallis. They called and spoke to a woman who stated her catalytic converters were taken off her 2004 motorhome sometime between late February and mid-April. She stated she had no suspect information and heard other motorhomes suffered the same events.
DELIVER HEROIN - On March 31, 2021, deputies contacted Robert Murray, 25, Evan Ashe, 40, and Megan Striplin, 26, in the Ross Dress for Less parking lot. They were all arrested for various warrants and Murray was charged with an additional count of Commercial Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
MAIL THEFT - On April 27, 2021 around 3:30PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone to report her mail had been stolen from her mailbox on the 20300 block of Highway 34, Alsea, on April 25, 2021. She said a package containing two books, valued at $14.00, had been taken from her mailbox.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at about 5:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Corvallis Municipal Airport for a report of an Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) Alarm. The BCSO Special Services Manager responded to assist with the appropriate electronic instruments required to locate the ELT, located inside a maintenance hangar, and turned it off.
Tow Hazard - On Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 6:04 PM, deputies responded to NW Bramblewood Court and NW Bramblewood Lane in Albany for a suspicious abandoned vehicle. There they located a teal Honda Civic sedan with the rear window partially broken out which was parked on a blind hill in a no-parking zone. The vehicle was not listed as stolen by license plate or VIN. Deputies had a tow company transport the vehicle to their yard in Corvallis where there were no holds placed upon it.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (MISD) PARAPHERNALIA; POSS MARIJ OVER 21; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On April 24, 2021, deputies arrested ADAM COLE YOUNG, 31, of Eugene, after a traffic stop at 19th/Main Streets in Philomath. He was charged with Failure to carry/present DL and Possession of Methamphetamine. He had about 10 grams of Methamphetamine and about 16 pounds of Marijuana.
THEFT 2; FALSE INFO TO POLICE – IMPERSONATION; FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 9:57 AM, deputies stopped a Chevy pickup for multiple traffic violations on Scenic Drive near Highway 20. They arrested the male driver after he failed to present a driver’s license and used a false name. Deputies were able to identify the male as CALEB WHITE, 32, of Virginia, and learned he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. WHITE was also in possession of over nine grams of Methamphetamine and approximately $900 worth of stolen property from Home Depot in Grants Pass. WHITE was cited and released for his warrant and the crimes of Failure to Carry or Present a Driver’s License, Giving False Information to Police for a Traffic Citation, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine - Misdemeanor, Theft II, and Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon. WHITE`S passenger was warned for possessing a violation amount of Methamphetamine.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On April 27, 2021 at about 10:45 am, deputies spoke to a resident who reported having a fraudulent IT company charge him $269.69. Suspects are unknown and he is working with his bank.
DISTURBANCE VERBAL ONLY - On Tuesday, April 26, 2021, deputies were dispatched to NW Lewisburg Ave and NW Burgandy Dr for an argument. No crime occurred.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 22, 2021 at about 9:45 a.m., deputies responded to Parole and Probation to arrest Ronald Dwayne Conklin, 35, for a confirmed Benton County Felony Warrant for FTA-Burg I. He was issued a citation to appear.
WARRANT ARREST - On 04/26/2021 at approximately 12:09 AM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Highway 180. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Julianne Phillips, 27, of Sweet Home. Phillips had 6 active warrants for her arrest from four jurisdictions. All warrants were authorized citations in lieu of custody. Phillips was cited and released.
MAIL THEFT - On Sunday, April 25, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 20300 block of Honeygrove Road for a mail theft. The resident said on Friday, April 23rd, 2021, an unknown person stole her mail. She said a vehicle title was stolen from the mail box and she needed a case number to file a report with the DMV. Deputies provided her with a case number and told her to call back if she had any further information.
DUII - On 04/25/2021 at approximately 2:19 AM, deputies were dispatched to an injury crash on Alsea Deadwood Highway near milepost 7. Deputies located an adult male later identified as Cody Looper, 26, unconscious in the driver’s seat of a Ford F-250. Medics conducted an evaluation and determined Looper did not need medical care. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Looper for DUII. Looper was processed for DUII and issued a citation in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, April 24, 2021, at about 10:25 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop at Highway 20 near milepost 37. They contacted Sean Michael Wohlers, 36, in the vehicle. Wohlers had a confirmed warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for Probation violation. Deputies issued Wohlers a criminal citation before releasing him at the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday April 24, 2021 at about 5:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 20 near milepost #5. There were three vehicles involved and a total of seven people transported to the hospital with possible injuries.
MAIL THEFT - On Saturday, April 24, 2021, at about 2:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 19700 block of Highway 34, Alsea, regarding a mail theft. A resident reported an Amazon box along with other mail was taken from her mailbox. Item valued at $20.00. No suspect identified at this time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, April 24, 2021, at about 12:43pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on NE Hwy 20 and NE Granger Ave, Corvallis. Unit 1, a 2001 Nissan Frontier, was eastbound on NE Hwy 20 crashed into unit 2, a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, which attempted a left turn from NE Granger Ave onto NW Highway 20. The driver of unit 2 was driven to the hospital by a family member, and the driver of unit 1 had no apparent injuries. The Nissan was towed and the Traverse was left at the scene.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On Friday, April 23, 2021, at about 6:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a theft from a vehicle on the 8200 block of Hyacinth Court. The resident stated he left his vehicle unlocked overnight and someone had entered it. He said he was now missing approximately $20.00 from his vehicle, but nothing else was missing or damaged. He did not have any suspect information at the time.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 4/23/21, Michael Sandoval, 66, reported to the jail for 6 warrants. The first was FTA for failing to report as a sex offender. The second was FTA for attempt to criminal trespass 2 and theft 3. The third was FTA criminal trespass 2. The fourth was FTA criminal trespass 2. The fifth was FTA theft 3, criminal trespass 2, theft 3, and criminal trespass 1. The sixth was for FTA attempt to commit a class C felony X3, assault 4, disorderly conduct 2, attempt to commit a class A misdemeanor, and failure to report as a sex offender. All of the warrants were then served and he was released.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On Thursday, April 22, at about 3:35 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a telephonic harassment report on the 35600 block of Johnstone Drive. The resident told deputies she received approximately 20 calls from a telephone number during the afternoon and the male making the call was cursing at her and threatening her life. Deputies advised her to block the telephone number and to re-contact them if the calls continued.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, April 22, 2021 at approximately 1:50 P.M., deputies stopped Levi Newberg, 30, of Sweet Home, on Spruce Avenue near 9th Street after observing a traffic violation. Deputies learned Newberg had confirmed misdemeanor warrants through Lebanon Municipal Court and Albany Municipal Court. Newberg was cited for both warrants as well as Using a Mobile Communications Device while Driving and Driving while Suspended.
FAIL TO APPEAR 2; CONTEMPT OF COURT - On April 21, 2021, at about 4:50 p.m., deputies contacted Rhonda Irene Deane, 44, at 4500 SW Research Way. Deane was cited and released on two warrants.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On April 21, 2021, while investigating a trespass at 4500 SW Research Way I located a Benton County trailer with a lock cut off. The trailer was open to the elements and empty at the time of the incident.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 04/21/21 Lillard, James, 32, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co Circuit warrant for FTA-Assault IV. The warrant was served the warrant on Lillard and he was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 20, 2021, at about 2:19 p.m., deputies arrested Paula Rose Buck, 38, on the 33200 block of Peoria Rd, Corvallis. She was cited in lieu of custody for two warrants and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 20, 2021 Conklin, Ronald, 35, was being processed for release from the Benton County Jail when deputies discovered he had a warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court for FTA PCS Meth. Deputies issued Conklin a court date and he was released.
FALSE INS INFO TO POLICE; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On April 17, 2021 at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 20 near milepost 8. Mercedes AREVALO, 22, initially said she swerved to miss a deer then said her boyfriend was driving. AREVALO also told deputies she had insurance through Progressive Insurance but they later discovered her policy had been cancelled. Dispatch informed AREVALO had an outstanding warrant from Marion Co for Kidnap II. Deputies arrested Mercedes AREVALO for False Information Regarding Insurance and on Marion County Warrant, Kidnap 2. Deputies transported AREVALO to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and later transported to Marion County Jail. AREVALO was also issued citations for Driving While Suspended-Viol and Driving Uninsured.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - DENNIS MCCORKENDALE, 73, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BENTON COUNTY JAIL ON 04-15-2021 AT 10:18 AM ON A WARRANT FOR FTA FAILURE TO REPORT AS A SEX OFFENDER. THE SUBJECT WAS ISSUED A NEW COURT DATE AND RELEASED FROM CUSTODY.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT – CHRISTOPHER EATON, 42, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BENTON COUNTY JAIL ON 04-15-2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 7:42 AM ON A WARRANT FOR UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON/MENACING OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT – On April 12, 2021, Jeffrey Alan Pearce, 43, turned himself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail on two warrants. One out of Lincoln Co Circuit Court and the other out of Linn Co Circuit Court. New court dates were issued from both counties and the subject was issued release agreements and released from custody.
DWS MIS - On 04/26/2021 at approximately 1:15 AM, a traffic stop took place on Burnt Woods Harlan Rd near Bennett Lane. The driver was identified as Letisia Rodriguez, 34. Rodriguez’s driving privileges are criminally suspended. Rodriguez was issued a citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday April 24, 2021 at about 9:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost #41 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, AARON BRYCE CLEMMER, 41, of Sweet Home, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. CLEMMER was issued a citation in the field and released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 04/24/2021 at approximately 12:51 AM, deputies were driving on Avery Avenue and observed a black binoculars case in the roadway. They stopped and retrieved it and determined it contained a methamphetamine pipe. The binocular case and pipe were seized for destruction. No ownership information available.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On Friday, April 23, 2021, at about 9:58 am, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to Motor Vehicle located on the 29300 block of Kiwi Lane, Adair. They spoke with a man by phone who reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway, and stole his wallet containing debit and credit cards, and his social security card. No suspect identified.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On April 23, 2021, at around 7:17am, deputies were dispatched to the 8700 block of NE Box Elder St for a report of unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle and theft. A resident reported someone stole his black Nike backpack containing his wallet and car keys from his unlocked vehicle. No current suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Friday, April 23, 2021 at 6:54 AM, a Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Dawson Road near Mile Post 5.5 at approximately 60 MPH while negotiating a curve. The driver reportedly swerved to avoid a turkey in the roadway and overcorrected. The vehicle entered a ditch on the north side of the road, striking a concrete culvert and rolling onto its roof. A piece of the vehicle damaged a Volkswagen Passat as it entered the area at the same time, from the opposite direction. The driver sustained minor injuries to his hands and his vehicle was towed due to damage
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On April 22, 2021, at around 11:24 am, deputies were dispatched to the 23900 block of Alsea Highway for a hit and run. A resident reported his garbage cans were hit by a vehicle and destroyed in the early morning hours on April 22. No current suspects.
WARRANT ARREST On April 23, 2021, at 12:14 AM, deputies contacted Shari Treadway, 42, of Sweet Home, on Dike Road near the Dam in Monroe. Treadway had a confirmed Bench Warrant out of Benton County for Possession of Methamphetamine, Bail $3,000. Treadway was issued a new court date for the warrant and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, April 22, 2021, at about 9:20 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop at Independence Highway near Pettibone Drive. They contacted the driver and passenger and identified them as Tyler Matthew Dellinger, 26, and Shania Little Sims, 22. Deputies learned they both had confirmed fail to appear warrants. Both individuals were issued criminal citations and released at the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On April 22, 2021, at 5:03 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 26800 block of Highway 99W in Monroe for a vehicle crashed into a house. A man was traveling southbound on Highway 99W, when he fell asleep and crashed into the residence. Evidence at the scene indicated there was no steering or braking prior to impact with the residence. The driver was cited for Failure to Drive within Lane, Driving Uninsured and Driving While Suspended Violation. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance for injuries and the vehicle was towed.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On 4/21/2021 at around 7:00 PM, deputies arrived in the area of 7th and Kelley Street in Monroe to locate a juvenile riding a pocket bike in the street. Deputies found the juvenile riding in the street with no helmet. Deputies had him walk the pocket bike back to his residence on the 600 block of Orchard Street. Deputies spoke with his mother and told her they would let her handle the discipline for this incident. Deputies told them both they could be cited if it happens in the future. The mother said they would handle it and it would not happen again.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Drive for a trespass. A resident said she saw an unknown male on the property who does not have permission to be there. Deputies arrived and spoke to a man who said he was walking his dog during his visit of the neighboring property. The resident said she wanted him warned for trespassing. Deputies warned the man for trespassing and he said it would not happen again.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, April 21, 2021, deputies were dispatched to SW Airport Avenue and SW Lowe Street for a non-injury crash. Deputies spoke with the driver who said he was driving East on Airport Avenue when a white semi-truck turned East onto Airport Avenue from Hout Street. He said he didn`t see a turn signal or break lights and the semi-truck started to turn North onto Lowe Street. He said he swerved into the oncoming lane of travel to avoid running into the truck, but clipped the driver’s side bumper, and crashed into the power pole. He said there was no damage to the truck and the truck left prior to deputy arrival. Hee didn`t exchange information with the semi-truck driver.
MAIL THEFT - On April 20, 2021 around 3:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone. The man reported he had two articles of mail taken from his mail box last Friday, on April 16, 2021. He said a children`s book and $20.00 cash from a birthday card for his wife were taken.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Tuesday, April 20, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 25100 block of Crandall Avenue for a criminal mischief report. The resident reported sometime between February 2021 and now, an unknown person shot his truck windshield twice and his mailbox with a pellet gun. He had no suspect information.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, April 20, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 24500 block of Bellfountain Road for a suspicious circumstance. A neighbor reported seeing people on the property and didn`t believe anyone should be on the property. Deputies arrived and spoke with the property owner who said he was cleaning up the property. He thanked the Sheriff`s Office for responding and checking on the property
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, April 18, 2021, at about 10:10 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a green Honda Civic on Southeast 3rd Street near Southeast Richland Avenue for failure to maintain lane. The driver, Devon Combs, 26, had a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of Court. Combs was issued a citation for the warrant with a new court date and time. UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 12:31 pm, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to Motor Vehicle located on the 300 block of NE Carmen Place, Adair. Deputies spoke with the victim by phone who reported sometime between 9:30 pm on April 9, 2021 and 12:00 pm April 10, 2021, someone entered his vehicle parked in his driveway, and stole his keychain containing his vehicle and house keys. No suspect identified
DUII DRUGS; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER DIS CONDUCT - On April 14, 2021 around 8:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 26500 block of Shady Oak Drive, Monroe, for a report of underage people drinking at an additional dwelling on the property. MALIK ROBERT CROWELL, 19, lives at the residence and was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and was cited for the violation of Operating Vehicle Without Driving Privileges.
DUII; DWS MIS - On Monday, April 12, 2021 at about 5:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to Dike Road outside of Monroe for a report of a vehicle stuck. They responded and arrested the driver, VICTOR ALAN MILLS, 61, of Junction City, and transported him to the Sheriff`s Office where he registered at .24% B.A.C.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On April 12, 2021, at about 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to Hubbard Rd MP 2 for a report of a vehicle backing up and driving forward in the wrong lane of travel. Deputies located a man driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500. He was later issued citations for DWS and Driving uninsured.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On Monday, April 19, 2021, deputies were dispatched to NW Highland Dr and NW Highland Dell for a suspicious vehicle. They arrived and spoke with a man who said he and his girlfriend had been at the location for less than 48 hours and were leaving prior to 10:00AM that day. Deputies told the man to find a better place to camp.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 18, 2021 at about 11:30 PM, deputies observed Ryan Christopher Garrette, 48, standing next to his truck in a parking lot of the 2600 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis. Deputies arrested both him and his associate, Dena Buttram, 38, for outstanding warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, April 18, 2021, at about 8:50 P.M., deputies contacted Cassey Rose Schwindt, 21, of Tangent, at Hyak Park on Hwy 20. Schwindt had three confirmed warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court and Albany Municipal Court. Deputies arrested Schwindt and issued her criminal citations before releasing her at the scene.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On April 18, 2021 around 3:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a woman by phone. She reported a vehicle, belonging to an employee of her husband’s farm, had been broken into between 9:00AM and 10:00AM on April 18, 2021. He was working near the Melon Farm, on the west side of Highway 20 where the greenhouses are being constructed, in Corvallis. A wallet and a blue JBL Bluetooth speaker valued at $200 was taken. She said the victim saw a brand new looking grey Hyundai sedan had stopped near his vehicle around that time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday April 17, 2021 at about 5:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #37 for a traffic violation. CHRISTOPHER ALLEN CHRISTESON, 47, had an outstanding Warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for F.T.C.- D.U.I.I. CHRISTESON was issued a citation in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 13, 2021, Zachary Luke Tyler, 41, was arrested for FTA Theft II in the Parole and Probation lobby.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 2:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to a shooting complaint on the 39200 block of Highway 223, near Kings Valley. They arrived and spoke with a man who stated he was shooting tannerite with friends. Deputies looked at the area they were shooting. It was safe and in no danger of causing harm to property or life. Deputies asked him to notify his neighbor if he shoots tannerite due to the noise and production of smoke.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Sunday, April 18, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of NE William R Carr Street for a criminal mischief. The resident said her neighbor put a trash bag with trash on her porch. She declined prosecution and wanted him to clean the mess up, which he did.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, April 18, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near milepost 46 for a single vehicle crash. They arrived and saw a black, 2006 Volkswagen Passat crashed on the East side of Highway 34. The driver said she was traveling toward Philomath and had a panic attack, lost control of her vehicle, and crashed. She was transported by Corvallis Medics to the Good Samaritan Emergency Room with apparent minor injuries. The vehicle was towed and the driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 16, 2021, at 11:39 PM, deputies contacted Daniel Quast, 31, in a parked vehicle near Maxfield Creek Road and Kings Valley Highway. Quast had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Criminal Trespass II, No bail. Quast was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, April 16, 2021, at about 10:50 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black Honda Civic with no license plates on Harrison Boulevard near 2nd Street. Deputies contacted and identified the driver as Aaron Bryce Clemmer, 41, of St. Helens, OR. Deputies arrested Clemmer on a warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for probation violation. Clemmer was issued a criminal citation and released from scene.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On Friday, April 16, 2021, at about 7:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of 53rd street for an unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. The victim reported she parked at the campground to hike Bald Hill Park. She returned to her vehicle, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the front passenger side window had been broken. She stated a grocery bag was taken out of the Jeep, but was on the ground nearby. Nothing appeared to be missing and there is no suspect information.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On April 16, 2021, at around 10:10 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5700 block of SW Donovan Place for a possible explosive device found by a property owner. Oregon State Police Explosives Unit was notified and the device was found to be an unexploded military mortar round. OSP removed the mortar from the scene with a robot and blast trailer.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, April 16, 2021, at about 12:35 A.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white BMW in the parking lot of 655 North Albany Road and contacted the driver, Destiny Cheyanne Flesher, 22. Flesher had two confirmed warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court. Deputies arrested Flesher and issued Flesher criminal citations for the warrants before releasing her at the scene.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On 4/15/2021 at around 4:50 PM, deputies arrested Jeffery Johnson, 66, for violating the No Contact Release Agreement on the 5100 block of NW Hwy 99W. They transported Johnson to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On April 15, 2021, at around 12:42 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of NW Lewisburg Ave for a report of criminal mischief. A man reported Jason Coleman, 49, vandalized his horse trailer. Coleman was later issued criminal citations for Criminal Mischief 3.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On 4/14/2021 at around 9:00 PM, deputies spoke with a woman by phone about someone breaking her passenger side window and taking around $250.00 worth of items from inside her car. This happened at the Lewisburg Saddle while she was walking trails sometime between 7:15 and 9:00 PM. Someone left a note on her car saying they saw a suspicious male and female on a motorcycle near her car when they arrived to take a walk. There is no other suspect information at this time.
ELUDE FOOT; WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 4:06 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted at Hwy 20 and Hwy 34, Philomath. The passenger, Trevor Anderson, 37, ran from the vehicle. Anderson was wanted for eluding law enforcement the previous day. Anderson was apprehended and lodged at the Benton County Jail on 10 warrants and charged with Reckless Driving, Unlawful Use of a Vehicle (x2), Interfering with a Peace Officer, and Possession of 2 grams or more of Methamphetamine.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 5:40 p.m., deputies attempted to stop Trevor Lee Anderson, 37, on Evergreen Rd near Fern Rd, Philomath. Anderson led deputies on a 4 mile pursuit. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at about 12:05 AM, deputies stopped a car on Sulpher Springs Road near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. MICHAEL JAY MITCHELL, 62, had an outstanding Felony Warrant for a Parole Violation. Deputies arrested MITCHELL and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
BURGLARY 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On April 12, 2021 at about 2:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of HWY 99W for a report of an audible burglary alarm. Deputies pulled around to the back of the building and observed a window screen propped up against the building. The window screen had been cut and removed. Deputies cleared the building and contacted the general manager. No suspect info available and nothing was taken from the building.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; DUII FELONY; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; DWS FEL - On Sunday, April 11, 2021, at about 9:50 P.M., deputies attempted to initiated a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry at Philomath Blvd and 53rd Street. The driver, William Madison Douglas, 58, of Hillsboro, attempted to elude and was arrested for DUII-Felony, DWS Felony, and other charges. Douglas was transported to the Benton County Jail after a search warrant was completed. Douglas was issued criminal citations for the above charges before being released to jail staff.
ASSAULT 4 MIS; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, April 3, 2021, at about 7:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Mile post 5 for a motor vehicle crash. Deputies spoke with Tyrel Attebery, 40, of Lebanon, and Sara McBee King, 29, of Sweet Home, regarding the crash and a trespass. Sara was issued a criminal citation for Criminal Trespass 2. Tyrel was issued a Criminal Citation for Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 2 X2, and Reckless Driving.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:59 AM, deputies stopped a male for multiple bicycle violations on SE 3rd Street near SE Mayberry Avenue in Corvallis. The male, JAMES NUNN, 35, of Portland, had a confirmed felony warrant for his arrest. Deputies cited and released NUNN on his warrant at the request of the Benton County Jail. NUNN was warned for possessing violation amounts of Methamphetamine and Xanax.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, April 11, 2021, at about 6:45 P.M., deputies contacted Nicholas James Sloan, 31, on Highway 20 near Independence Highway. Sloan had 11 warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court and Albany Municipal Court. Sloan was issued criminal citations at the Linn County Jail and released at the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 4/13/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:05 PM, EDWARDS, MATTHEW JAMES, 23, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, BAIL 6000.00. EDWARDS WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On April 12, 2021 around 10:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 4200 block of Powers Ave, Albany, Benton County, for a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the field across the road. The caller reported there were two occupants in the vehicle that appeared to be spotlighting with high powered lights. The vehicle was described as a black and orange early 2000s Ford F350, or F250, with an aluminum tool box in the bed. The vehicle was no longer at the scene when deputies arrived.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 12, 2021, deputies contacted two people at the entrance to the Irish Bend Park. Between the two individuals they had an RV, pickup, PT Cruiser and a Honda motorcycle at the location. The motorcycle was left behind and I tagged it the next day.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 4/12/21, AT APPROXIMATELY 1:04 PM, BRADY, KESLEA, 32, OF JEFFERSON, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BBCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, FTA DUII, BAIL $5000.00. BRADY WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, April 11, 2021 at about 10:15 PM, deputies responded to the Philomath Market to assist the Philomath Police Department. It was reported a male and female had discussed, "ROBBING THE STORE" and both were still inside the store. Deputies contacted both people, the female AMBYR ONDREA DAWSON, 34, had two outstanding Warrants. Deputies arrested DAWSON and transported her to the Linn County Jail where she was lodged.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, April 11, 2021 at about 7:50 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle at Highway 34 and Highway 501. The driver, CODY JAMES NORMAN, 30, of Lebanon, was arrested for Driving While Revoked - (Misdemeanor). NORMAN was issued a citation in the field and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 04/06/21, Smith, William, 21, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail for a Benton Co warrant for FTA DUII. Deputies confirmed this warrant through records and served the warrant on Smith.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 8, 2021, Taylor Henderson, 24, was in custody in BCJ and had an active warrant for FTA - crim trespass 1. A new court date and he was released from the jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 8, 2021, Zachary Tyler, 41, posted bail on local charges for: 1) Linn Circuit 20CR21400 FTA PCS meth no bail; Marion Circuit, FTA DWS bail $800000-00; 2) Salem Muni court, FTA DWS misd; 3) Albany muni court, contempt of court; and 4) Philomath muni court, FTC DWS misd.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, April 12, 2021, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident concerning a stolen firearm. He said an unknown person entered his truck and stole a Glock 40 caliber pistol about three weeks ago. He had no suspect information.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 10, 2021 at about 3:26 am, deputies were dispatched to the 24600 block of Territorial Hwy. A resident reported seeing two subjects trespassing at the rear of his property near a shed. Deputies searched the area but did not locate anybody. Fresh tracks in the long grass were observed at the rear of the property. Deputies provided him with their business card in case anything had been stolen.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES - On Friday, April 9, 2021, at about 4:18 pm, deputies were flagged down at SE 3rd Street and SW Alexander Ave. A thirteen-year-old girl reported a "bald old guy" driving a light blue four-door sedan attempted to get her into his vehicle by hand gestures and words. Deputies were unable to identify a suspect at this time.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, April 9, 2021, at about 2:44pm, deputies were dispatched to Old River Road and Shultz Road, Junction City, regarding a trespass. Roger Tristain Braiser, 22, and Evan Anthony Zeller, 24, both of Harrisburg, were found in a field by a farm worker. Braiser and Zeller were both cited for Criminal Trespass II.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Friday, April 9, 2021 at 8:59 AM, a homeowner reported that house painters who he hired to perform work on his duplex on the 5100 block of NE Willamette Avenue in Adair Village were recently contacted by a female who responded to an ad which listed the property as an Airbnb rental. The fraudulent ad wanted the female to meet an unknown individual in the back yard at that location to complete the rental process. The ad was not able to be located online and the female was not able to be contacted or identified.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; DUII - On 04/08/2021 at approximately 10:15 PM, deputies responded to a traffic crash on Highway 34 near Milepost 42. Upon arrival, they interviewed one of the two drivers. A DUII investigation was conducted, which led to the arrest of Matthew Dedek, 42. Dedek was impaired by alcohol and crashed into another vehicle. After crashing into an on-coming vehicle, Dedek drove off the road, through a fence and into a barn. Dedek was processed at the Philomath Police Department.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, deputies were asked to go to the 27100 block of Greenberry Road to investigate suspicious circumstances, possibly involving controlled substances. A man was in the process of purchasing the property and had concerns about there being a former Methamphetamine lab located there. Deputies went to the property the following day and did not observe any evidence of illegal activity in plain view.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at about 9:45 pm, deputies responded to the intersection of 5th Street and Jackson Avenue for a vehicle crash. A BCSO deputy crashed his 2015 Chevy Tahoe Patrol Vehicle into a 2007 Dodge Caravan. Deputies assisted with information exchange, took photos, completed interviews and completed a DMV crash form.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 11, 2021, at around 2:39 pm, deputies observed a blue 2003 Chevrolet Impala drive onto a secluded parcel of private property on the 900 block of SE Kiger Island Rd. The occupants of the vehicle did not have permission to be on the property and were warned about trespassing on private property.
DWS FELONY - On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 10:45 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on Peoria Road near Highway 34 on a Hyundai Elantra for an improper right turn. Deputies contacted the driver, Brian Joseph Weinhold, 41, of Aumsville. Weinhold’s driving status was revoked-felony. Deputies arrested Weinhold and issued him a criminal citation for DWS-Felony before releasing him at the scene.
DWS MIS - On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 10:10 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black BMW with an expired temporary registration on Peoria Road near Highway 34. They contacted and identified the driver as James Terry Crump, 38. Crump’s driving status was revoked misdemeanor. Deputies issued Crump a criminal citation for DWS-Misdemeanor before releasing him at the scene.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 3:03pm, deputies observed a suspicious vehicle on the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Drive, Corvallis. A blue 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser was parked in an area of high crime, with no plates or temporary registration. The Chrysler`s VIN was not reported stolen at this time. No action taken.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 9:10am, on the 100 block of SW Alexander Ave, Corvallis, Robert Gustavo Lopez, 36, was arrested on three Benton County Circuit Court Warrants and one Multnomah County Circuit Court warrant. Lopez was transferred and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS - On Saturday, April 10, at about 12:30 A.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford Escort for expired registration at 1st Street near Washington Street SW in Albany. Deputies contacted and identified the driver as Exzavier Jamar Wright, 21. Wright’s driving status was revoked misdemeanor. Deputies arrested Wright and issued him a criminal citation for DWS-misdemeanor before releasing him at the scene.
