Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allow. Any arrest and complaint information included below is based on the legal conclusion that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On May 23, 2022, at about 12:35 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Springhill Dr and Linnview Ln for a report of a male walking in and out of traffic. Deputies later located the male, Eric Eugene Wenning, 42, trespassing in the 5100 block of NE Springhill Dr, arrested him for trespass, and transported him to Corvallis where he was issued a citation.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, May 22, 2022, at approximately 9:20 PM, a driver was traveling west on Highway 20 in her 2016 BMW M235i. She turned north onto Highway 223 and as she did so, encountered a southbound vehicle encroaching into her lane of travel. She told deputies she veered to the right to avoid a collision with the vehicle and in doing so, side-swiped the "HIGHWAY 223" wooden signpost causing moderate damage to the entire passenger side of her vehicle. Her vehicle was still drivable and did not require a tow.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 21, 2022, at about 8:30 p.m, deputies pulled over a vehicle with a known wanted subject driving, and issued Neil Warren Jardin, 64, a citation to appear for an Oregon Parole Board Warrant for Burglary II.
BCSO - SURRENDER ANIMAL – On May 20, 2022, deputies transported two six-week-old kittens from the 25000 block of Orchard Tract Road in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.
HARASSMENT - On May 19, 2022, at around 9:21 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of NE Noble Avenue in Corvallis for a disturbance. Andre Sampier, 37, was arrested for Harassment and was taken to the Benton County Jail.
THEFT 1 - On Thursday, May 19th, 2022, at 5:04 p.m., deputies contacted a resident via telephone. He told deputies he was at a house located in the 39100 block of Mary`s River Rd, Blodgett, about a week and a half ago when a male tried to sell him some stolen items.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 05/18/2022 at approximately 09:28 am, deputies responded to an injury crash on Highway 34 near Winney Road in Alsea. Upon arrival, they spoke with a rider who crashed his Harley Davidson at 9:00 pm, the night before. He was injured but managed to flag down a passerby who stopped to help him this morning. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by medics. His motorcycle was flagged with Sheriff`s tape and left on the scene. He said he would arrange the recovery of the motorcycle at a later time
BCSO SURRENDER ANIMAL – On May 20, 2022, deputies transported two six-week-old kittens from the 25000 block of Orchard Tract Road in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On May 7, 2022, at approximately 4:30 AM, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 99W near milepost 102. Jeffrey SIMMONS, 24, had drifted off the roadway, into the ditch, traveling northbound. SIMMONS said he had left Corvallis and was trying to go to Eugene, which is the opposite direction he was traveling when he crashed. SIMMONS consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested SIMMONS for DUII and transported him to the Junction City Police Department where he submitted a complete breath test. A Eugene Police Officer arrived later and conducted a drug influence evaluation of SIMMONS. SIMMONS was released to a family member.
DUII; ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On May 5, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 20 near Scenic Dr. Miguel TOBAR JIMINEZ, 28, had driven off the road, struck an ODOT road sign, and a Northwest Natural Gas pipe causing a gas leak. Deputies later determined the driver, Miguel TOBAR JIMINEZ was impaired and arrested him for DUII.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 05/20/2022 at approximately 8:14 am, deputies responded to a crash on Highway 99W near Lewellyn Rd. Upon arrival they learned Ty Storey, 28, of Junction City, failed to maintain a safe distance in his vehicle from another driver and caused a rear-end crash. Storey was cited in lieu of custody for DWS Misdemenaor. Both vehicles were towed due to damage.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, at 6:10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in which Issac Justham, 23, was the driver. Issac`s driving privileges were suspended to the degree of a Misdemeanor. Issac was cited in lieu of custody.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On May 18, 2022, at around 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Highway 20 MP 5. Judy Frohreich, 64, was driving west on Highway 20 in a white 2015 Dodge Dart when she drove off the roadway. Frohreich was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital. Deputies later issued Frohreich criminal citations for Driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at about 8:25 pm, Deputies were dispatched to 120 NW 4th Street and later arrested Michael Austin Hurley, 42, of Grants Pass, on a confirmed Linn County Circuit Court Warrant for Contempt of Court, Theft III, no bail. Deputies transported Hurley to Good Samaritan Hospital for a jail clearance and then to the Linn County Jail where Hurley was lodged on his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, May 17th, Matthew Rowen, 39, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant. Deputies learned Rowen had a warrant for his arrest. Warrant information: FTA Burg II x 2, Crim Mischief I, Theft of services. Deputies filled out a release agreement with a new court date for Rowen to appear in the Benton County Circuit Court. Rowen signed the release agreement and was released from Jail.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, May 16, 2022, at about 11:15 pm, deputies stopped a white 1997 Chevy Blazer on SW 3rd Street near SE Park Avenue for illegal display of plates and failure to register a vehicle. They later arrested the driver, Rachel Michelle Caulder-Moore, 26, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Caulder-Moore was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, May 16, 2022, at approximately 9:23 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 and Independence Highway for report of an injury crash. They arrived on scene and found the driver of a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta had not seen traffic stopped ahead of her for construction. She attempted to stop but was unable to do so and crashed into a 2018 Toyota Sequoia SUV. Both vehicles were towed and one driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital with report of back and neck pain.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 5/16/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30 PM, MCCOLLAUM, SKYLER, 33, OF TANGENT, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE JAIL LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR TRESP 2, BAIL $500. DEPUTIES SERVED THE WARRANT ON MCCOLLAUM AND HE WAS RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - On 5/16/22 HARLOW, Taylor, 23, turned herself in on a warrant to the Benton County Jail on 2 different Benton County Circuit court warrants. Warrant information: Hindering Prosecution, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor x 2. Deputies issued Harlow a new court date and time to appear in the Benton County Circuit Court. Harlow signed the release agreement and was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On 5/16/2022 at approximately 10:20 am, Nathan Wilhoit, 23, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail. Mr. Wilhoit had a Failure to Appear Warrant and an Arrest Warrant: Trespass in the Second Degree, Failure to Appear warrant for Unlawful Sale/Delivery/Transfer of Firearm x2. Mr. Wilhoit was given a court date and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On 5/16/2022 at approximately 10:00 am, Steven Anderson, 50, turned himself in to the Benton County Jail. Steven Anderson had 1 Failure to Appear warrant and 3 Cite to Appear warrants: FTA-Stalking x7, Cite to Appear-Initiating a False Report, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree; Cite to Appear-Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine; Cite to Appear-Violating a Court`s Stalking Protective Order. Mr. Anderson was given a new court date and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at approximately 8:43 PM, deputies were dispatched to an injury crash in the area of Highway 20 and Independence Highway. They arrived and found that a driver had been distracted in his vehicle, not seen stopped traffic ahead, and crashed his 2010 Honda Fit into a 2001 Chevrolet Impala causing major damage to both vehicles. This caused the 2nd vehicle to lunge forward into a 2003 Ford F150 causing minor damage. The first two vehicles were towed from the scene. Deputies issued the first driver a citation for Following Too Close and Driving Uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 5/15/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 6:27 PM, ANDERSON, JACOB, 33, WAS CITED AND RELEASED AT THE JAIL ON A WARRANT OUT OF LINC CO FOR FTA INTIMIDATION, BAIL $15K.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at about 2:40 am, deputies stopped a white 2010 Toyota Camry on NW Rolling Green Drive near NW Walnut Boulevard for failure to drive within lane. They later arrested the driver, Asher August Humphreys, 24, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Humphreys was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On May 15, 2022, at 1:17 AM, deputies responded to Highway 20 near milepost 35 in Blodgett for a single-vehicle traffic crash. A driver crashed into a tree after he fell asleep. He was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center for minor injuries. His pickup was towed from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at about 12:15 am, deputies were dispatched to assist a stranded motorist on Metge Avenue near milepost 1. A driver was turning his 1994 Honda Accord around on Metge Avenue when he accidentally drove off the roadway and became stuck in deep mud on the north side of the road. The Accord was not damaged in the crash. A tow company recovered the Accord from the mud and the driver was able to drive it away from the scene.
DWS MIS; FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On Saturday, May 14, 2022 at approximately 7:30 P.M., deputies stopped Troy Andrew Carlson, 42, of Sutherlin, on Highway 20 near Milepost 36 after a traffic violation. They later cited and released Carlson for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor, Failure to Appear-DUII out of Sherman County Circuit Court, and Violation of the basic Rule for driving 80 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 5th, 2022 at around 3:17PM, I observed a van parked next to a NO PARKING sign at SE 3rd Street and SE 4th Street. I observed a male standing next to the vehicle with the door open. I contacted the male, Levi Gruenhagen, 41, of Salem, and learned he had an active cite and release warrant for unlawful possession of a restricted weapon out of Albany Municipal Court. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On 05/13/22 Noon, Philip, 47, of Lebanon, turned himself in at the Benton Co jail on an FTA Traffic offense warrant out of Benton Co. Noon was cited and released with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 13, 2022, at around 1:00 pm, deputies were asked to arrest Probation client Dustin Mackie, 41, in the lobby of the Parole & Probation Office. They arrested Mackie for a statewide felony warrant for probation violation. They walked Mackie across the street to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
DWS MIS - On May 13, 2022, at around 11:15 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a maroon 2000 Chrysler Voyager. They later arrested Jeffrey Pearce, 44, for Driving while suspended-misdemeanor. Pearce was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
DWS MIS - On Friday May 13, 2022, at around 12:45 am, deputies arrested Jawann Venable, 38, of Lebanon, for driving while suspended misdemeanor at 2nd and Ellsworth. They issued him a criminal citation into Benton County Circuit Court for the offense.
DWS MIS; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Thursday, May 12, 2022, at around 11:15 pm, deputies arrested Daniel Williams, 25, for failure to carry or present an operator’s license and driving while suspended misdemeanor. Deputies issued him a citation for these offenses.
WARRANT ARREST - On 05/12/22 Andersen, Christian, 29, turned herself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co Circuit warrant for FTA Animal Abuse II. Anderson was cited and released with a new court date.
DWS MIS - On May 12, 2022, at around 1:08 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of NW 53rd St for a report of reckless driving. Deputies later issued Jeffrey Pearce, 44, a criminal citation for Driving while suspended-misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 5/12/22 HALL, TRAEL LYNN, 37, TURNED HERSELF IN ON A WARRANT FOR FTA-MENACING, FTA-DIS. CON. II. HALL WAS RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday 5/10/22 MAGANA, Sandra, 22, turned herself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant for her arrest for DUII and driving while suspended. Deputies filled out a release agreement for Magana and had her sign it. After signing the release agreement Magana was released from the jail with a new court date.
DUII; WARRANT ARREST; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, May 9, 2022, at about 1:20 am, deputies stopped a blue Buick LaCrosse for driving 65 MPH in a 45 MPH on Highway 20 near Granger Avenue. They later arrested the driver, Kyle Michael Miller, 26, of Scio, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Miller also had a Linn County Justice Court warrant for Theft 2. At the request of the Linn County Justice Court, Miller was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 7, 2022, around 3:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 7700 block of Hoodview Circle, Corvallis, for a suspicious circumstance. Audra Lynn Bentley, 53, was issued a citation in lieu of custody for a felony Marion County warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On 05/06/22 Crowell, Malik, 20, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Benton Circuit warrant for FTA Assault III. Malik was cited and released with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, May 5, 2022, at approximately 2:30 pm, deputies stopped Dolores Kelley, 33, for no front license plate. They confirmed a Clackamas County warrant for her arrest and issued her a citation with a new court date and time.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 26, 2022, James Hickman, 59, reported to the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a warrant. Hickman was cited and released with a new court date and released.
ANIMAL NEGLECT 2 – On May 12, 2022, at 3:09 p.m., deputies removed four exotic birds from the 200 block of NW 53rd Street in Corvallis due to their living conditions. They were transported to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On May 11, 2022, at 9:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of NW Scenic Drive in North Albany. An employee with a repo company was attempting to recover a 2010 Chrysler Van when the homeowner came outside and would not let him leave with the van. Deputies arrived and confirmed there was a valid order to recover the van as payments were delinquent. They allowed the owner to remove some personal items from the van before it was towed from the property.
BCSO ANIMAL - On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at about 7:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 SW 53rd Street for possible animal abuse. The anonymous caller stated a man was destroying his birdcage and possibly injuring the exotic birds inside the cage. The cage appeared in slight disarray but still safely containing the birds. Deputies later spoke with him in a parking lot on Philomath Boulevard. He stated he was not trying to hurt the birds and was attempting to keep the cage from overheating due to a space heater that had been placed inside the cage. He consented to have his neighbor provide care for the birds for the night.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On May 11, 2022, a resident reported an individual on property adjacent to her residence in the 28800 block of Dorr Rd, Corvallis, intentionally chopped up an exposed phone line. She reported the phone line is owned by Century Link and her phone is functional.
UUV - On May 11th, 2022 at around 8:47 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a male who reported that on May 10th, 2022, sometime between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM, his vehicle was taken from the Woods Creek Trailhead (located at GPS coordinates 44.53090, -123.54238.) with approximately 1/4 tank of fuel. No suspect information.
FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE - On May 10th, 2022 at around 12:14 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a green Chevy Cavalier near SW 4th Street and SW Western Blvd. They contacted the driver, Ronald Dinell Veal JR, 50, of TX. Deputies learned Veal had an active extraditable warrant out of Texas for a parole violation. Veal was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail without incident. He was additionally issued two traffic citations for ORS.806.010 Driving uninsured and ORS.807.010 No valid operator`s license.
DOG BITE – On May 4, 2022, a delivery driver was bitten by a dog residing in the 6900 block of NE Elliot Circle in Corvallis. The dog was placed on a ten-day quarantine.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On May 8, 2022, I was dispatched to the 1400 block of Seavy Avenue, Corvallis, for a suspicious vehicle and possible mail theft. The caller was the groundskeeper for the residence, who reported he thought he saw a female reach into the mailbox, and then leave in a RV. The caller said the vehicle had left the residence and was following from a distance. Deputies contacted the driver and the original reporting person later confirmed no mail was stolen, as there was mail in the mailbox when he later checked the mail.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Friday, May 6, 2022, at about 4:50 pm, deputies stopped a black Chrysler 300 on NW Hayes Avenue near NW 9th Street for driving 48 MPH in a 35 MPH zone and making unsafe, unsignaled lane changes. Deputies later arrested the driver, Patrick Allen Gerber Jr., 22, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Gerber Jr. was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On May 5, 2022, at around 5:15 am, deputies were dispatched to Alpine Road milepost 4 for a motor vehicle accident. A caller reported a car had driven off the road and into some trees. Deputies responded and could not locate the vehicle. About a half-hour later they located a 1997 Acura that had crashed on the BLM Alsea Access Road at milepost 4. The car was cold and no one was around it. A DMV check on the license plate showed a registered owner out of Eugene. Deputies placed Sheriff`s Office safety tape around the outside so BCSO would not continue to get calls regarding the wreck. Dispatch did not receive any calls from the driver of this car reporting an accident. The driver remains unknown.
FORGERY 1; FELON IN POSS OF FIREARM; TAMPER W/ EVIDENCE; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; WARRANT ARREST - On April 28th, 2022 at around 1:16 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle approximately 100 yards west of HWY 20 and Mustang Lane for failing to signal 100 ft before turning. The driver, Daniel Williams, 25, was detained for failing to carry and present a license and placed under arrest after trying to stash some methamphetamine. Deputies later searched the vehicle on consent and located a forged check in the amount of $5,500 dollars, a handgun, a violation amount of methamphetamine, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia. His passenger, Wendlynn Stephens, 26, also had a warrant for her arrest and was cited in lieu of custody. Williams was transported and booked at the BCCF for forgery 1, felon in possession of a firearm, failing to carry and present a license, and tampering with physical evidence.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On May 9, 2022, at 12:10 AM, deputies responded to the 23800 block of Woods Creek Road in Philomath for a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined there was no burglary and the caller was seeing a motion light go on and off.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, May 8, 2022, at about 2:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a trespass on Weyerhaeuser Property near 25800 Maxfield Creek Road. They arrived and located two men walking on the logging roads. Deputies informed them they were trespassing and both males seemed shocked. Deputies informed them they needed to leave and if they wished to have recreational passes, they had to contact Weyerhaeuser and request one. The area manager at Weyerhaeuser told deputies they did not wish to proceed forward with a trespass. No damage to forestry area and no further incidents.
DUII - On May 8, 2022, at 2:55 AM, deputies stopped Daniel Hardy, 20, on 13th Street near Western Boulevard in Corvallis for speeding. They later arrested Hardy for DUII after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 7, 2022, at 10:03 PM, deputies responded to 200 NW 53rd Street, in Corvallis for a Welfare Check. The caller reported her neighbor named, "Jeff" was outside making monkey noises for the past hour. Upon arrival, they contacted Jeffrey Pearce, 44. Pearce was working on his utility trailer, the trailer had fallen on him, trapping him between the trailer and the ground. Deputies lifted the trailer up and Pearce was able to get out from under it. Pearce said he did not need medical attention. Pearce was cited and released on the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST – Deputies were traveling north on 5th Street in approximately the 700 block. A dark-colored sedan passed deputies could see the passenger in the back seat was sitting sideways and did not have a seatbelt on. Deputies made a traffic stop and contacted Paul Aaron Masiko Bonnen, 33. Bonnen had 4 cite and release warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court for Theft III X2, Failing to register as a sex offender, and DUII. He was issued citations in lieu of custody.
UUV - On Saturday, May 7, 2022, at about 11:55 AM, deputies were dispatched to a stolen vehicle complaint in the 1700 block of NE Conifer Boulevard in Corvallis. They arrived and spoke with a woman who stated her 2003 Toyota Highlander was taken by Andrew Oaks without her permission and refused to give it back. Oaks was arrested for ORS 164.135-Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. Andrew was given a citation and provided a court date and time.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 9th, 2022 at 11:49 AM, deputies were patrolling Adair and observed a brown Honda with no license plates. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and identified the two occupants. One was Andee Neighbors, 24. Neighbors had a Cite and release warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for FTA on a criminal citation. She was issued a citation in lieu of custody. The driver was issued two citations for failing to register his vehicle and driving uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 7th, 2022 at around 11:12 AM, deputies were in Adair doing extra patrol and stopped a white Toyota Sequoia. The driver, John Kenneth Montgomery, 51, had an active cite and release warrant for DUII out of Benton County Circuit Court. Montgomery was issued a new citation to appear for his warrant. They explained the court date and time to Montgomery and released him.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 05/07/2022 at approximately 1:26 am, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 99 near milepost 89. A female driver was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by medics. The vehicle was towed.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 6, 2022, at about 4:05 pm, deputies saw a gold Ford Expedition driving north on NW 9th Street near Walnut Boulevard with expired registration stickers. They stopped the vehicle and later arrested the driver, Andrea Rachele Dorman, 36, on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant. At the Benton County Jail’s request, Dorman was cited and released.
THEFT 3 - On Friday, May 6, 2022, at about 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a theft in the 1800 block of NW 9th Street. Images of a female suspect were circulated and an anonymous tip identified the woman. After completing their investigation of the incident, they determined there was insufficient evidence to arrest the female.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On Friday, May 6, 2022, at about 11:40 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the 27300 block of Stow Pit Road. They spoke with the reporting person and determined the suspicious vehicle was likely an Amazon delivery vehicle.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Friday, May 6, 2022, at about 7:50 am, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail to investigate a report of criminal mischief. As Dustin James Hagle, 34, was being released from the jail at about 5:26 am, he intentionally slammed an exterior jail door into an exterior window, breaking the window. Hagle was later arrested for Criminal Mischief 2 and Disorderly Conduct 2 and transported to the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, May 5th, 2022, at 11:22 p.m., deputies contacted Curtis Dorman, 19, during a traffic stop near NE 2nd St and NW Harrison Blvd, Corvallis. Dorman had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. He was issued a citation and released.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On May 5th, 2022 at about 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hwy 34 at about milepost 50 for a crash involving a backhoe on its side. They responded to the location and noticed a backhoe, still attached to the trailer was on its side. The backhoe was attached to the trailer with binders. Deputies contacted the driver, who was sweeping debris from the roadway.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, May 5, 2022, at about 3:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Parole and Probation office to serve a state-wide felony parole violation warrant on Jacob Robert Smith, 30. Smith was arrested on his warrant and for Failure to Report as a Sex Offender. Smith was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On May 5th, 2022, at around 1:00 pm, deputies responded to the 1600 block of NW Bonney Dr after a property manager located a broken latch on the door and noticed some lawn furniture was moved around. The replacement door handle was estimated at around $500-$700 dollars.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On May 5, 2022, at about 10:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of NE Highway 20 near Hyak Park for a garbage truck that crashed into the ditch. They arrived and spoke with the driver who appeared to have an injury to his face. Medics arrived and later cleared the driver after accessing his injury. He stated he swerved to avoid a tan-colored sedan that swerved into the oncoming lane. He drove into the south side shoulder and crashed down the embankment. The vehicle damaged trees, a fence, and a century link owned power pole. Deputies spoke with the local property owner who stated the damage exceeded $2000 dollars. The vehicle was towed.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On May 5th, 2022 at around 9:49 AM, deputies responded to the 3200 block of West Hills Rd, for criminal mischief. They learned sometime over the last 24 hours or so, someone drove onto a resident’s grass and made tire tracks on his lawn.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT; RESISTING ARREST - On Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, at 6:28 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of NW 53rd St, Corvallis, for a domestic disturbance. Evan Seits, 37, pushed a resident to the ground during an argument. Evan was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at around 12:15 pm, deputies spoke with a resident in the 1100 block of NE Seavy Avenue, Corvallis. He found a burnt cigarette butt in his mail box and wanted to report the incident.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at about 11:05 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash on Highway 20 near milepost 42. A Volkswagen Passat was east on Highway 20 when the driver started passing a tractor-trailer on the right. He did not see her and hit her Passat as he merged right. She lost control and spun into the northern-most west-bound lane. No one was injured in the crash. The Passat was towed from the scene and the other vehicle drove away from the scene.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, at 10:08 a.m., deputies contacted a resident in the 24000 block of Old River Rd, Junction City, via telephone. She reported she provided her social security number to a scammer posing as the Amazon fraud department.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On May 5, 2022, a resident reported her neighbor was yelling and threw trash in her yard. She also knocked over planters and property barriers. All of this occurred in the 5100 block of Highway 99W, Corvallis. The caller also reported she appeared to be smoking something out of a glass pipe.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, May 2, 2022, at about 8:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of NW 53rd Street for a suspicious person. They arrived to locate a male on a green "women`s" bike, with a black milk cart on the back. They were informed the male "possibly took a red hat" from a residence but the reporting person was unsure. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the male. No residence in the trailer park reported anything missing or seeing a male riding a green bicycle.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 5/1/22, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING TRANSPORT FILES FOR RELEASE. THEY RAN TRONTVET, WEST, 31, AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF CIRCUIT COURT FOR THEFT 2. THEY SERVED IT ON TRONSTVET WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On May 9, 2022, at about 11:07 am, deputies contacted a resident in the 200 NW 53rd St. She reported an unknown subject vandalized the men`s bathroom next to the office sometime the night before. The subject pulled off a toilet paper dispenser, took a cabinet door, threw around bath mats, and left a shirt and underwear. A male subject was observed on cameras around 4:30 am, but no ID could be made.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, April 22nd, 2022, at about 4:37 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Fern Rd and Powderhouse Rd, Philomath, for a single-vehicle rollover crash. Upon arriving there was nobody around the vehicle. The vehicle was cold, and the crash did not appear as if it just occurred. The vehicle was on its top, down a steep embankment. The vehicle was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, April 30, 2022, at about 1:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 east of Shrike Way. On arrival to the area, they found signs of a crash on the north side of Highway 20 near milepost 48 and a black Chrysler PT Cruiser parked in a pull-out about 0.5 miles west of the crash scene. The PT Cruiser was missing its front bumper, which was at the scene of the crash. No one was present with the vehicle when it was last contacted on April 28, 2022.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON - Deputies stopped Daniel James Williams, 25, for a lighting violation in a parking lot on 9th St in Corvallis. They observed a black pocket knife on the driver seat floorboard when I approached the window. Deputies learned Williams is a convicted felon. When they inquired about the knife, Williams said it was a spring-assisted knife. Deputies arrested and cited Williams for felon in possession of a restricted weapon and for DWS violation.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On May 1, 2022, at about 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to the area of 39000 Marys River Road for a report of explosions. Deputies located no fires, crime, or danger. They did note that there was a large amount of logging going on in the area, likely the cause of explosive sounds.
THEFT 3 - On April 15th, 2022 at about 1:15 pm, deputies made contact with a caller who told deputies this is the 3rd time since April 3rd, 2022 that someone has taken money from their cash box. This is a self-serve flower station on the side of Independence Hwy. On April 3rd, 2022 $6.00 was taken, on April 5th, $18.00 was taken, today, April 15th, 2022 $15.00 was taken for a total of $39.00. There are no known suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, April 30, 2022, at about 2:00 PM, deputies were in Monroe when a male approached them, wishing to make a threats complaint. He stated an elderly female backed into his horse trailer, causing minimal damage. He stated they exchanged information and went their separate ways. He said fifteen minutes later, the female returned and said "my son will pay you a visit, I know where you live." He said he was not in fear of his life, just felt it was strange, and wished to make a report. He did not want to be a victim of any crime and stated, that he only wanted a record of the interaction.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Friday, April 29th, 2022, at 6:55 p.m., deputies responded to the area of 29700 Beaver Creek Rd, for a suspicious vehicle. They conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found the occupants were picking mushrooms. Deputies advised them they were trespassing.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 4/29/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:46 PM, MORRIS, MORGAN LEE, 37, OF PENDLETON TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR FTA PCS METH, PUBLIC INDECENCY, UEMV, AND CRIM MISCH3. THE WARRANT WAS CONFIRMED BY DISPATCH AND WAS SERVED ON MORRIS.
WARRANT ARREST - On 04/28/22 at approximately 7:52 pm, HOBAN, Troy, 51, turned himself in to the front door of the jail to sign a Facility Release agreement. HOBAN was issued a new Benton Circuit Court date for his warrant for FTA/Fail to Perform Duties of Driver, $3,000 bail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, April 28, 2022 at around 4:30 pm, deputies arrested Tyler Gordon, 30, of Otis, after confirming a parole board warrant for his arrest. Deputies transported him to the Benton County Jail.
THEFT 1 - On April 28, 2022, deputies spoke with a resident who reported a theft of tools from his residence in the 5300 block of NW Springhill Dr, Albany.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On April 28, 2022, Vesna Hopkins reported damage to property at her residence located at 360 S 10th Street, Monroe. There are currently no suspects at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On 04/27/22, Moussaoui, Assia, 32, turned herself in to the Benton Co Jail on a Benton warrant for FTA Unlawful use of a weapon. Deputies served the warrant on Moussaoui.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at about 8:00 am, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on NW Highland Drive near NW Lester Avenue. They arrived to find car 1 had heavy front end damage from rear-ending car 2. As a result car 2 wash pushed forward causing a secondary crash and rear-ended car 3. Car 3 was stopped and car 2 was stopped behind it due to an uninvolved vehicle making a left turn onto NW Lester Avenue. Car 1 failed to come to a complete stop while driving north on NW Highland Drive, resulting in the damage. Car 2 and car 3 were able to be driven under their own power. Car 1 was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 4/26/2022 WALTON, DUSTIN SCOTT, 34, TURNED HIMSELF IN ON A WARRANT FOR FTA-DUII. WALTON WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT AND TIME TO APPEAR FOR THE ABOVE WARRANT.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 26, 2022, deputies responded to a non-injury crash on Peterson Road north of Airport Road in Philomath. A black Ford Focus failed to drive on the right when negotiating a curve and drove head-on into a southbound Subaru. The driver of the Ford was issued citations for fail to drive on the right and driving uninsured. The Ford was towed.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 4/25/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00 AM, WARD, PATRICK, 41, OF TEXAS, TURNED HIMSELF IN TO THE BCCF JAIL ON A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA PCS METH. HE WAS CITED AND RELEASED.
THEFT 2 - On April 24, 2022, at about 11:45 a.m., deputies spoke to a resident in the 30100 block of Spencer Creek Road. He reported having a propane tank, a gas can, and a skill saw stolen at different times from his property.
DOG BITE - On April 22, 2022, at about 12:30 PM, deputies responded to the Philomath Fire Station for the report of a dog bite. They spoke with a delivery driver who stated that she delivered a package to the 24100 block of Woods Creek Rd when an older, male, black lab approached and bit her twice and broke the skin.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 4/18/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 1820 VICTOR, CLARA, 22, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT FOR FTA CRIM MISCH 2, CITE AND RELEASE, AND IT WAS SERVED ON VICTOR.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; CONTEMPT OF COURT - On Saturday, April 30, 2022, at about 9:25 am, deputies were dispatched to 5140 NW Highway 99 to investigate a report of Disorderly Conduct. Multiple residents of the community reported Sara Nicole Shattuck-Brown, 36, was screaming and throwing trash into the street. They later entered Shattuck-Brown`s residence on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant and arrested her for multiple counts of Disorderly Conduct 2 and Contempt of Court. Shattuck-Brown was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On Thursday, April 28, 2022, at about 7:20 P.M., deputies were driving in the trailer park at 200 53rd Street when they saw Michael Hussey`s trailer with lights on. Deputies remembered Hussey was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender from several weeks prior. Deputies checked Hussey`s registration status and saw he had not registered, despite being arrested a short time ago. They knocked on the door and confirmed it was Michael, issued Michael a citation failing to register and told him to register again.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 28th, 2022, at around 4:00 pm, deputies located David Longo, 46, in Corvallis, off Philomath Blvd. Longo had a misdemeanor FTA warrant for felon in possession of a restricted weapon. Longo was cooperative and was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, April 25, 2022, at about 2:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the Parole and Probation Lobby for a warrant arrest. Michael Jay Baker, 34, was arrested for multiple warrants out of Benton, Lincoln, and Linn Counties. Michael was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged. Warrant Information: Benton County Circuit Court, DUII, $3,000 Bail; Albany Municipal Court, Contempt of Court, No Bail, and Lincoln County Circuit Court, FTA PCS Amphetamine, $50,000 Bail, and DWS, FTC/Present DL, FTA Criminal Cite, $80,000 Bail. Baker was lodged at BCJ.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 28th, 2022 at 11:19 AM, deputies stopped a blue Ford Fusion traveling 71MPH in a 55MPH zone. They contacted the driver who was identified as Perry White, 58. White was revoked misdemeanor with an IID requirement and also had 2 cite and release warrants. One out of Lebanon Municipal Court and the other was out of Albany Municipal Court. Both were for driving while suspended misdemeanor. White was issued citations for his two warrants and was issued a criminal citation for DWS Misdemeanor and two traffic citations for the speed violation and for not having an ignition interlock device.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 27, 2022, deputies were dispatched to the 800 gate on Sulphur Springs Road, Corvallis for a trespass in progress. William Ray Graves, 40, drove his black, 93 Jeep Wrangler around an Oregon State University Research gate and got high centered on logs. Kristina Lynn Birks, 35, was a passenger in the vehicle. The gate is clearly marked authorized vehicles only. Both Graves and Birks were issued citations in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass II. The vehicle was towed off the logs.
BURGLARY 1; THEFT 1 - On April 27, 2022, at about 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 30000 block of Spencer Creek Rd and took a report of a burglary. Stolen was a .38 Taurus pistol and a bag with yarding equipment worth $16,000.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 24, 2022, at about 10:40 a.m., deputies were dispatched to 905 Springhill Drive for a trespass/illegally parked Motorhome/RV and vehicle at the Golf Club of Oregon. They contacted the driver, who had moved the vehicles in since last night. Deputies told her they needed to be moved today and she was trespassing. She said she would essentially work on getting them moved. The caller said he would call a tow company tomorrow if the vehicles were still there the following day.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 22, 2022, at about 7:00 AM, deputies responded to Highway 20 near milepost 49 for a single-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they spoke to the driver who stated that she and her passenger were traveling eastbound on Highway 20 outside Philomath. She stated that she didn`t know what happened but that she remembered seeing birds. It was apparent from the tire marks that she drifted off the side of the road on the south side of the highway into the ditch and then into a tree where she came to a stop. The vehicle was towed to Corvallis.
OVERDOSE - On April 23, 2022, at about 2:50 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of S 10th St in Monroe for an overdose. A resident had overdosed on an unknown amount of drugs including Heroin, Xanax, and M-30 pills, which she used in Corvallis about an hour prior to the call. Deputies administered two doses of Narcan due to slow shallow breaths and to avoid the possibility of respiratory arrest. They collected 9 pills and 14 broken S903 green pills (XANAX) in a jar to submit to evidence for destruction. Deputies followed medics to the hospital where she was released to the care of the emergency staff.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - Deputies observed a vehicle pass them at 97 MPH on Highway 20 and Independence Highway. They pulled over and arrested James Carlos Sandoval, 27. Deputies transported Sandoval to his residence and charged him DUII, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; RECKLESS DRIVING - On April 23rd, 2022 at around 11:27 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NW HWY 99W for a complaint of reckless driving. Deputies located Sarah Shattuck-Brown, 36, who had Washington County Circuit Court warrant for FTA Criminal Mischief II. Additionally, BCSO had pre-existing probable cause to arrest Shattuck-Brown for Criminal Mischief I and Disorderly Conduct II. Deputies determined Shattuck-Brown had also drove recklessly on two separate occasions and damaged property by breaking windows in 3 different units in the park in excess of $1,000 dollars. Shattuck-Brown was transported to the Benton County Jail and charged with ORS.164.354 - Criminal Mischief 1, two counts of ORS.811.140 - reckless driving, and two counts of ORS.163.195 - Recklessly endangering another person.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at about 9:00 am, deputies saw a silver Toyota Camry driving west on Lewisburg Avenue with expired registration stickers. When they attempted to stop the vehicle, it continued driving for over a mile before yielding to the right and stopping on NW Mountain View Driver near NW Somerset Drive. Deputies later arrested the driver, Mason Kristian Storm Wooldridge, 23, of Tangent, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
WARRANT ARREST - ON APRIL 22, 2022, SUDHEER MOTURI, 42, OF LEBANON, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BCJ ON A WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. THE SUBJECT WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT DATE AND RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - ON APRIL 22, 2022, JAVON HARPER, 20, TURNED HIMSELF IN ON  A WARRANT FOR FTA FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER, OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. THE SUBJECT WAS RELEASED WITH NEW COURT DATE.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On April 21, 2022, deputies responded to the 5100 block of Hwy 99W Corvallis, for a report of the renter breaking the windows out in her own residence. She was reportedly yelling from inside her residence at a nearby barking dog. When deputies knocked on the door, she refused to answer.
WARRANT ARREST - ON APRIL 21, 2022, KIEL SLOVER, 43, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BCJ ON FTA RESISTING ARREST, DISCON 2 OUT OF BENTON CO CIRCUIT COURT. SUBJECT SIGNED RELEASE AGREEMENT AND WAS RELEASED WITH NEW COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 2:09 PM, deputies stopped a female on a bicycle after they observed her commit multiple traffic violations in the area of SW 3rd Street & SW Tunison Avenue in Corvallis. NICOLE PATTERSON, 24, of Wilsonville, was arrested on numerous outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. PATTERSON was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on her warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at approximately 2:07 pm, KARJALA, William, 41, of Eugene, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail in Corvallis, OR and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at the Benton County Circuit Court. A valid warrant was confirmed by Corvallis Police Dispatch and served for: DUII, DWS Bail $10,000. The subject was released on Five-Day Rule after having signed a release agreement to appear at the Benton County Jail. Signed copies of the release agreement were forwarded to the Circuit Court and District Attorney.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 18, 2022, at about 11:10 AM, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on Highway 20 and Highway 223. They arrived to find vehicle 1 pulled over on Highway 20 with two trailers attached, one on its wheels, and one on its side. The double trailers were carrying cut trees as a "short hauler set up". The second trailer overturned while entering Highway 20 to go east from Highway 223. The highway had a steep grade which caused the second trailer to begin tipping. Vehicle 1 was not damaged and a "self-loader" righted the trailer to be driven away from the scene. Additionally, the "self-loader" picked up the logs from the roadway and cleared Highway 20. Approximately 150 feet of guard rail was damaged.
UNLAW POSS OF FIREARM; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; WARRANT ARREST; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On April 16, 2022, at around 11:52 pm, deputies initiated a pursuit on a white 1998 Honda Accord that was driving erratically. Ian Blake, 27, of Junction City, was later arrested after crashing the Honda. Blake was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on charges of reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear-mail theft/burglary 2nd degree/theft 3rd degree, and Eugene Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear-theft 2nd degree. Blake was also later issued an additional criminal citation for unlawful possession of a firearm.
DWS MIS - On April 17, 2022, at about 1:00 AM, deputies were driving on SE Goodnight Ave in Corvallis when they stopped and arrested Randy Ross, 33, for DWS- misdemeanor.
DUII - On April 14, 2022, at approximately 12:45 AM I stopped Amber DEPUY for Failure to Use Lights on Harrison Blvd near 27th St. DEPUY had a slack facial appearance and seemed confused. Deputies could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from DEPUY when she spoke and she admitted to drinking alcohol. DEPUY consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Amber DEPUY, 23, for DUII and released to a friend.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On April 11, 2022, at about 10:41 a.m., deputies were sent to a garbage truck on its side blocking the road at Highway 20 south of Scenic. The driver was transported for injuries sustained during the crash. Traffic was re-routed for about two hours.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at about 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near Ryals Avenue for a vehicle crash. They arrived and observed a silver, 2001 Honda Accord, crashed off the roadway along the southbound lane of travel. The driver, identified by his Oregon driver stated he swerved to avoid a slower vehicle in front of him, lost control, and slid into the ditch. A good citizen assisted him in getting his Honda back onto the roadway. He was able to drive the Honda away from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 3:09 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Parole & Probation lobby of the Benton County Sheriff`s Office at 180 NW 5th Street in Corvallis for a warrant service. WILLIAM STEEN, 37, had felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. STEEN was transported to the Polk County line where he was transferred to the custody of a PCSO Deputy so he could be booked and lodged on his felony warrant at the Polk County Jail.
IDENTITY THEFT; DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, April 17, 2022, at 3:58 PM, deputies stopped a white Ford F250 pickup for a traffic violation on NW 19th Street near NW Buchanan Avenue in Corvallis. They arrested the driver, RICHARD SATHER, 32, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. SATHER was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail on his warrants. SATHER was also charged with Identity Theft and Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). SATHER`S passenger was located hiding in a bathroom stall at Fred Meyer by CPD Officers and arrested on outstanding warrants of her own, and was also charged with Identity Theft.
POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); WARRANT ARREST - On April 16, 2022, at about 11:00 PM, deputies observed three subjects working on a car in the parking lot of 380 NW Hickory St Albany. They subsequently arrested one of the subjects, Timothy Parker, 55, for an outstanding warrant. Parker was in possession of more than 2 grams of methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 15, 2022, at around 9:58 am, deputies were dispatched to the front lobby of the Law Enforcement Center to issue Luke Elbinger, 30, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to appear- PCS Meth. Elbinger was issued the criminal citation and warned about failing to register as a sex offender.
POSS STOLEN VEHICLE; POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); DWS FEL - On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 4:23 PM, deputies stopped a black, 2008 GMC Yukon SUV on Highway 20 at Juniper Lane in North Albany after learning it was reported stolen out of Corvallis. The driver, MATTHEW MARTINEZ, 36, and passenger, VIRGINIA BUCK, 33, were both taken into custody during a high-risk traffic stop. BUCK claimed to have recently bought the vehicle for $2,500 from a male who sold it on Craigslist. MARTINEZ was cited and released for the crimes of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Driving While Suspended (Felony), and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor). BUCK was cited and released for the crime of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 13, 2022, at about 2:30 AM, deputies observed a vehicle in a parking lot in the 2300 block of NW Kings Blvd. They observed that the driver matched the description of a person recently contacted in that vehicle named Tyler Dellinger, 27. They confronted Dellinger and told him he was under arrest for numerous warrants including a felony warrant for his arrest. Dellinger was issued several citations in lieu of custody for his warrants. The warrant information is as follows: Linn County- Parole Violation; Albany municipal, criminal trespass II; Lebanon Municipal, contempt of court; Benton County, FTA Robbery 3.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On April 12, 2022, at about 5:00 PM I responded to the 1600 block of SW Brooklane Drive for a single-vehicle crash. They subsequently arrested Jerod Sapp, 51, for criminal mischief after he drove his truck into a telephone pole on private property.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 18, 2022, at about 9:50 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on NE Seavy Avenue near Highway 20, in Corvallis. They arrived to find Car 1 and Car 2 pulled over to the side of the road. No injuries, both vehicles drove away under their own power.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Monday, April 18, 2022, at 10:01 AM, a resident in the 2600 block of NW Oak Grove Drive in Albany reported her surveillance cameras captured someone coming up to her front door the previous night around 10:45 PM. She described the individual as a bald, white male of average build, wearing pants with a blanket wrapped around him and no shirt. She said the male waved at her camera and laid down at the front door for approximately 25 minutes before leaving. She did not see a vehicle associated with the male.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On April 17, 2022, at about 2:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief in the 24600 block of Grange Hall Road near Philomath. They spoke with a caller who stated their ten-year-old cedar had been backed into and broken. She stated the night before, she saw a smaller pickup back into the tree, breaking in. She estimated the tree to cost about $200.00 dollars to replace. No further suspect information.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On April 15, 2022, at 11:47 PM, deputies observed Tyler Nickell, 20, of Junction City, traveling 112 miles per hour on Highway 99W near Airport Road in Corvallis. Nickell attempted to elude deputies and drove recklessly into Corvallis. Deputies terminated the pursuit for public safety. A couple of minutes later, Nickell eluded the Corvallis Police Department on Philomath Boulevard and was last seen entering Philomath. Sergeant Drongesen and Sergeant Moody located Nickell`s vehicle in the 600 block of Clemens Mill Road. Nickell admitted he was driving, admitted he attempted to elude Law Enforcement, and admitted he was impaired by alcohol. Nickell was cited for traveling 112 miles per hour, DUII, Elude by Vehicle, and Reckless Driving.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 4/15/22, CHRISTIAN ANDERSON, 29, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BCCF ON A WARRANT FOR FTA ANIMAL ABUSE 2 AND FTA CONTEMPT OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. ANDERSON WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 14, 2022, at around 11:27 pm, deputies conducted a welfare check on a maroon 1993 Buick Lesabre and a bicycle parked in a dirt parking lot near NW Hickory St and NW Springhill Rd. They later arrested Kevin Fuller, 58, for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3rd Degree. Fuller was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. Two others were warned about trespassing.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 14, 2022, upon release of Culbertson, Joshua, 24, it was discovered that he had an active warrant out of Mari Co. Culbertson was given a release agreement with the a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 13th, 2022 at around 9:46 AM, deputies made a traffic stop on a blue Jeep Liberty with oversized rear wheels that extended past the wheel wells and small front tires. Deputies identified the passenger of the vehicle as Alexander William Auregui, 26, of Dallas, who had a statewide felony probation violation warrant out of Polk County. Auregui was transported to the county line where a Polk County Deputy took over custody and transported him to the Polk County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 9:29 AM, deputies stopped a white Chevy Suburban SUV for a traffic violation on NW 3rd Street near NW Jackson Avenue in Corvallis. They cited and released the driver, JEFFERY DEIBELE, 64, for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.DEIBELE was also cited for Driving Uninsured.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 10th, 2022 at about 5:53 pm, deputies responded to a car in the ditch. When they arrived, they made contact with the driver, who told deputies she was northbound on Hwy 99W when she looked down to get a chapstick. When she looked down, she left the roadway driving into the ditch on the east side of the road. She was un-injured. The car was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On 04/08/22 upon release of Birch, Jonathan, 30, it was discovered that Birch had an active warrant out of Multnomah County for UUMV. This warrant was served and Mult Co gave a new court date. Birch was released with a signed release agreement for Mult Co.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On 3/29/2022, deputies spoke with a resident in the records lobby who told them she was contacted by phone by a man saying his name was Roland McDonald. McDonald told her if she did not send $10,000.00, he would blow up her mother’s home. She told deputies she had previously been scammed out of around $3000.00 in 2013 from the same person, she has no idea where the person actually is; she met him in a chat room. Deputies explained to her the caller was not going to come to her house, he most likely was not even in the USA. She said she blocked her number and she felt better after talking to deputies about the incident.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On April 17, 2022, at 3:32 AM, deputies responded to Highway 99W near NE Arnold Avenue for a possible traffic crash. Upon arrival, they located tire marks going into a ditch and several vehicle parts on the ground. Deputies followed a fluid trail to the 5200 block of NE Laurel Drive in Adair. They spoke to a male at the residence who said he was on his way home from work and missed the turn. There appeared to be less than $2500 in damage and no injuries occurred.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2:42 PM, deputies went to the 23800 block of Maxfield Creek Road in an attempt to locate subjects with outstanding warrants. There they contacted a female named KATHRIN BLY, 50, who had multiple misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. BLY was issued criminal citations with court dates in lieu of custody for her confirmed warrants at the request of the Linn County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 10:17 AM, deputies were dispatched to the Blodgett School on Tum Tum Rd for a suspicious person. The school went into lockdown after a teacher allegedly saw an adult male walk past the windows of her classroom. Deputies determined the individual was someone that lived nearby who claimed he was just out for a walk in the snow. He was advised to obtain permission to be on school grounds in the future.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; IDENTITY THEFT; POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (MISD); CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; PAROLE VIOLATION; FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On April 11, 2022, at about 9:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 5700 block of NW Oak Creek Drive for a vehicle stuck in a farmer`s field. Deputies arrested David Alan Mills, 43, for a Parole Board Warrant for Abscond, a Lane County Felony Warrant for FTA on a Felon in Possession of a Weapon charge, Criminal Trespass II, Identity Theft (x6), PCS Methamphetamines (Misd.) and Providing False Information to a Peace Officer. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER SIMPLE ASLT; ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER SIMPLE ASLT; RESISTING ARREST SIMPLE ASLT - On April 8, 2022, at approximately 10:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 30700 block of Slow Ln, Philomath, for a domestic disturbance. While in route, dispatch said there was an argument between the residents. Marc BARNES, 57, was arrested on the offenses listed.
THEFT 2 - On March 31, 2022, at about 3:35 pm, deputies were dispatched to a theft in the 26500 block of Shady Oak drive in Monroe. A resident stated a theft of about $600.00 had occurred. He stated he had already reported the fraud and theft to Umpqua Bank. He stated it happened a month prior via cash app via debit card. Based on the deputies’ conversation with him, it seemed like his account was hacked into and was used to purchase gift cards. He requested a case number for the bank to attempt to be reimbursed the money he had lost.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, March 28, 2022, at approximately 5:15 A.M., a vehicle was traveling east on Highway 34 near milepost 31 in his loaded log truck when something broke on the truck, causing his truck to roll to the side and crash against the embankment. The driver was transported to the hospital by Corvallis Fire Department Medics with minor injuries.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 13, 2022, at around 7:39 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash at NW Springhill Dr and NW Independence Highway. A white 2000 Chevrolet conversion van was traveling west on Springhill Dr when he failed to see a stop sign and drove into the ditch. The Chevrolet was damaged in excess of $2500 and towed from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at about 8:50 am, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Priest Road. The driver told deputies he was driving east on Highway 20 in his 2011 Ford Escape at about 45 MPH when he lost control in the snow and slid off the south side of the roadway. He was wearing his seatbelt, was not injured, was waiting for a tow, and did not require assistance.
TOW, HAZARD - On April 12, 2022, deputies located a gray, 1999, Toyota Camry on Finley Road near Highway 99 W, Corvallis. The vehicle was taking up a substantial portion of the westbound lane and would be a hazard preventing two vehicles from passing. A tow company later removed the vehicle as a hazard.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On April 8th, 2022 at around 12:21 PM, deputies responded to NW 53rd Street and NW Harrison Blvd for a 2 vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they determined vehicle 1 had turned westbound, right in front of vehicle 2, causing a crash. The driver of vehicle 1 took full responsibility for the crash and told deputies she just didn`t see the other vehicle before making the turn. The other driver had only minor injuries, which included chest pain from the airbag.
IMPROPER USE OF 911 - On April 6, 2022, at about 1:30 AM, deputies responded to the 25700 block of Coon Rd. in Monroe for an unknown problem. A resident called 911 to report that her parents were dying, however, she couldn`t effectively communicate to dispatch what was occurring. Upon arrival, deputies noticed that the parents were completely fine and asleep in their beds.
IDENTITY THEFT; WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, April 4, 2022, at 11:12 AM, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of SW Willow Avenue and SW 53rd Street in Corvallis. There they located a silver Kia Optima sedan occupied by two individuals identified as MICHAEL GILLILAND, 51, of Hermiston, and WENDELYNN STEPHENS, 26. Both GILLILAND and STEPHENS had outstanding warrants for their arrest. STEPHENS was cited and released on her misdemeanor warrant. GILLILAND was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his felony warrant.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 12:35 PM, deputies responded to the 200 block of NE Granger Avenue for a trespass in progress. SHAWN HARRIS, 30, of Beaverton, was arrested after he entered a vehicle on the property and fell asleep inside. HARRIS also had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. HARRIS was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants. HARRIS was also charged with Trespass II and UEMV.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, April 11, 2022, at about 8:10 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near the Highway 34 Bypass for a traffic violation. The driver, JOSSELYN K.D.G. JACK, 30, was cited on an outstanding Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for F.T.A.- D.U.I.I. JACK was cited and released in the field.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 10, 2022, at about 9:50 pm, deputies were just north of the intersection of Springhill and Independence on a motorist assist when they heard a traffic crash to the south. They located a driver standing outside of his crashed vehicle on Independence about 100 feet north of Springhill. He stated he was traveling northbound on Independence at about 60 mph. He began hydroplaning while trying to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. He left the roadway and crashed into a guardrail on the east side of Independence. A tow company responded and towed the vehicle from the scene due to damages.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On April 9, 2022, at about 10:03 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Monroe Post Office located at 590 Main St. A caller reported an unknown person asleep inside the building under blankets. Deputies contacted a female asleep just inside the front door. She asked if she was allowed to sleep in the building and deputies told her no. She stated she would move along.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at about 6:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to assist with locating a reckless driver reported on Highway 20 west of Philomath. I stopped the suspect vehicle, a dark-colored Mazda MZ3, on Philomath Boulevard near Country Club Drive. They later arrested the driver, James Bruce Brawley Jr., 37, for Reckless Driving and DUII. Brawley Jr. was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 5, 2022, at about 6:21 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash at N 19th St and Periwinkle Dr. Vehicle 1 was southbound on 19th St approaching the entrance of a mobile home park at Periwinkle Dr. Vehicle 2 was on Periwinkle attempting to turn northbound onto 19th St. There is a stop sign posted on Periwinkle. Driver 1 stated Driver 2 failed to stop for the stop sign and pulled out in front of him causing a collision. Driver 2 stated he stopped for the stop sign but did not see Driver 2, traveling southbound. Driver 2 failed to yield to Driver 1, who had the right of way. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to damages.
DUII - On Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 at about 6:40 PM, TRISTAN DAVID DOWRIE, 40, drove his car into the ditch on 53rd St. near milepost #2. DOWRIE was arrested for D.U.I.I. and taken to the Sheriff`s Office where he was later released.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On April 2nd, 2022 at about 2:30 pm, deputies responded to the 26500 block of Bennett Blvd, Monroe, for a reported disturbance between Clifford Pfaff, 57, and a female. Mr. Pfaff was cited for harassment and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at approximately 8:55 P.M., depuites stopped Bradley Neil Damewood, 42, of Lebanon, for speeding in the Mountain View Elementary School zone. Damewood had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant through Lebanon Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on a criminal citation. Deputies cited and released Damewood for the warrant, for speeding in the school zone, and Driving While Suspended violation.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - Jarryn Grimes, 27, Subject turned himself into the lobby of the Benton Co Jail. He was issued a court date and time to appear in lieu of being taken into custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On 3/24/2022 HARLOW, Taylor, 22, turned herself in on warrant for FTA-Endangering welfare of Minor x 2. HARLOW was released with a new court date and time.
THEFT BY DECEPTION - On March 19th, 2022 at around 5:37 PM, deputies were dispatched for a cold fraud in the 23700 block of Tatom Ln. The caller reported that she was scammed out of $1290 from a housing scam when she was tricked into sending what she thought was a security deposit and the first month’s rent through PayPal and Cash App. She was able to recover $840 dollars from PayPal, but none of the money sent through the Cash App.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On April 9, 2022, at about 11:42 pm, deputies stopped Elena Blen Isabella Reerslev, 20, of Junction City, for multiple traffic violations on Hwy 99W near MP 102. They arrested Reerslev after determining she was impaired and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 9, 2022, at about 12:13 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of N 3rd Street in Monroe for a female who the resident didn`t want on the property. The same female from the library was warned for trespass and moved along.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 9, 2022, at about 11:35 a.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of N 5th Street for a report of a person trespassing at the front of the library. Deputies contacted her and told her to move along.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On April 8, 2022, at about 9:01 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Hwy 20 near NE Merloy Ave. The driver was traveling eastbound on HWY 20 when he claimed he fell asleep. He entered into the east ditch where he collided with a stop sign, a farm home sign, an iron fence, two utility poles, and a chain-link fence. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver was released with multiple citations.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On April 8th, 2022 at around 11:08 AM, deputies observed a Chevy Cavalier with the driver-side brake light out. They stopped the vehicle in a parking lot in the 5200 block of Philomath Blvd and observed the passenger of the vehicle was not wearing her seatbelt and when asked for identification, she provided a fake name. Deputies determined the name was not hers and she confessed her name was Kari Wilkerson, 31, of Salem. She believed she had a warrant, which she did not. She was cited and released for ORS.162.385 False information to a peace officer in connection with a citation or warrant.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On April 8th, 2022 at around 6:52, deputies were dispatched to the 31900 block of Fern Road for a dispute between neighbors. They determined a resident was intentionally making noise and provoking his neighbor`s dogs to bark, then reporting it to law enforcement in retaliation to the noise the other neighbor was making. Deputies told him to stop and if the behavior continued he could be charged criminally.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 8, 2022, at 2:19 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on NW Walnut Boulevard near NW Rolling Green Drive in Corvallis for improper signal. The front seat passenger, Dusty Risland, 34, had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court, No bail. Risland was issued a citation with a new court date.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On April 7, 2022, an employee in the 3000 block of West Hills Rd, reported a female called his business and made threats regarding a customer. She also made threats regarding other individuals unrelated to the business.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, April 7, 2022, at about 11:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on NW Springhill Drive near milepost 3. A 2020 Toyota Corolla was north on NW Springhill Drive when the driver reached for her dashcam and lost focus on the road. They left the east side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, causing the pole to fall, leaving live electrical lines on the roadway. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and received only minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. The Corolla was recovered and towed from the scene. Pacific Power rendered the electrical lines safe and assumed control of the scene after the Corolla was recovered.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On April 11, 2022, a dog owner living in the 25100 block of Smittys Place in Monroe was issued a citation for his dog running at large and chasing his neighbor’s cat. This has been an ongoing issue.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 11:26 AM, deputies arrested DAVID COOK, 57, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants in the area of Pioneer Park at 1300 SW Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis. COOK was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his confirmed warrants.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On April 7, 2022, at around 5:39 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of SW Allen St for a reported trespass. A resident reported seeing a transient male walking across his rural property. The male was later contacted by Corvallis PD and given a courtesy transport to the Men`s Shelter. The male was warned against trespassing.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 6, 2022, at around 6:29 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a green 1997 Honda Civic near NW Springhill Rd Milepost 2. They later arrested passenger, Fernando Ayala Olvera, 44, for a warrant out of Marion County Circuit Court for Assault 4th Degree. Ayala Olvera was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. The driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended-violation.
BURGLARY 1 - On April 6, 2022, at around 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of NE Elliott Cir for a reported burglary. A resident told deputies she discovered that someone had stolen a piece of pipe from her bathroom sink`s P-trap. She believed the theft occurred between April 4 and 5. There were no other stolen items or signs of forced entry.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On April 6, 2022, a resident reported someone damaged the rear portion of her vehicle while it was parked at her residence.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; WARRANT ARREST; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at about 3:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of Highway 99W to attempt contact with Sara Nicole Shattuck-Brown, 36, on a confirmed Washington County Circuit Court warrant, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering. Shattuck-Brown was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 5, 2022, at approximately 2:06 pm, SPINNEY, Sunrise Dawn, 41, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that she had an active warrant for having failed to appear at court. A valid warrant was confirmed and served: Benton County Circuit Court, FTA - harassment, bail $1,000. Spinney was force-released pre-trial due to the facility capacity management plan. A release agreement was signed and forwarded to the court and DA with next appearance.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday 4/5/22, around 10:30 am, Andrew James Freitag, 21, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on 2 different warrants out of two different counties: Marion County Circuit Court, FTA Theft II; and Lebanon Muni Court, FTA II DWS Violation. Freitag was cited and released with new court dates.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; IDENTITY THEFT; FELON IN POSS OF FIREARM; POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (FELONY) - On Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at about 9:30 A.M., deputies arrested Jared Lee Hawkins, 34, of Sutherlin, for ID Theft, PCS-Meth, felon in possession of a restricted weapon (ECD) and providing false information. Jared was issued citations and released. Jared was initially called in for dumping barrels into the river at Old River Road near Bundy Road. Jared was changing a flat tire, not dumping items.
WARRANT ARREST - On April 4, 2022, at about 10:15 a.m., deputies responded to check for a person yelling on the riverbank of the Willamette River near MP 118. They did not locate anyone in distress, but did arrest Cynthia Gaylord, 27, for a confirmed warrant (Malheur County Circuit Court- FTA Sexual Assault). She was issued a citation to appear. Deputies also arrested Brenden Dwyer, 33, of Ontario, for three confirmed warrants (Benton County Circuit Court - failure to register as a sex offender, Linn County Circuit Court - FTA on failure to register as a sex offender, and Albany Municipal Court - FTA failure to register as a sex offender. Dwyer was lodged at Linn County Jail.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at about 6:15 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a single-vehicle rollover crash on Robison Road near Wiles Road. They later arrested the driver of the crashed vehicle, Sabri Fawzy Abounozha, 21, of Monmouth, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Abounozha was cited and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 3/30/22, DEPUTIES RAN MILLER, TRAVIS TOBIAS PRIOR TO RELEASE FROM THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA DCS HEROIN, OUT OF LANE COUNTY. MILLER WAS SERVED THE WARRANT AND RELEASED.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On April 4, 2022, at about 7:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to check on a suspicious vehicle parked at a gate on Highway 34 near Mary`s Peak. While en route they called the vehicle owner who said the car was broken down and would be moved promptly.
DUII - On April 3, 2022, at 2:47 AM, deputies stopped Jacob Potter, 31, of Lebanon, on 4th Street near Madison Avenue in Corvallis for traveling the wrong direction on a one-way. Deputies later arrested Potter for DUII after they determined he was impaired.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On April 2, 2022, at around 12:55 pm, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the Finley Refuge area. She had her car broken into at the Refuge in September 2021. She thought she saw the same car in the area on April 2nd and the car was driving and parking in different areas. She did not see the driver commit any crimes.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On April 2, 2022, at around 10:45 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft that occurred in the 26500 block of Highway 99W. The owner of the property reported someone cut the catalytic converter out of a Ford Excursion. Suspects also stole two vehicle cooling systems off of a pallet outside of a shop. The estimate for items stolen was approximately $5000.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; WARRANT ARREST - On April 1st, 2022 at around 10:25 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a white 2000 Ford expedition near Hickory St and Riverbow Ave for illegal window tint. The driver provided them with a fake name of "TANIKA PARKER." She was placed under arrest for failing to carry and present a license. Deputies discovered her real name was Nima McFarland, 40 yoa. McFarland had a statewide felony parole warrant, a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal for DWS misdemeanor, and a misdemeanor warrant out of Marion County Circuit Court for DUII. McFarland was transported to the Linn County Jail where she was booked for the parole board warrant and the Marion County warrant. She was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody on her Albany warrant and was additionally charged with failing to carry and present a license and false info to a peace officer in connection with a warrant. She was also issued traffic citations for DWS violation, driving uninsured, and failing to install an ignition interlock device.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 3/31/2022, MOHAMED, Derham, 23, turned himself in on a warrant for FTA-PCS Cocaine. MOHAMED was released with a new court date and time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On March 31, 2022, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W at NW Lewisburg Ave, Corvallis for a non-injury traffic crash. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - ON 3/30/22, DEPUTIES RAN BAKER, MICHALE JAY, 34, PRIOR TO RELEASE FROM THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA PCS METH, LINC CO CIRCUIT COURT. BAKER WAS SERVED THE WARRANT AND RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 9:41 AM, deputies located and arrested ANTHONY OVERHOLSER, 36, for an outstanding felony warrant in the old tree farm at 765 SW 53rd Street in Corvallis. OVERHOLSER was ultimately transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his confirmed warrant.
DUII - On March 29th, 2022 at about 11:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near milepost 74 for a single-vehicle crash into the ditch. Upon arrival, they observed that the vehicle, a 2004 Honda Civic, had become high centered on the edge of the highway with the rear portion sticking out into the highway. Deputies subsequently arrested the self-admitted driver, Joel Lancaster, 46, for DUII.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Mar. 29, 2022, at approximately 1:04 pm, BERNHARDT, Gabrielle, 36, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated she had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court. Four valid warrants were confirmed by Corvallis Police Records and served as follows: Albany Municipal Court, FTA - Theft II; Sweet Home Municipal Court, FTA - Theft III; Lebanon Municipal Court, DWS x2 and Lebanon Justice Court FTA - Contempt. Signed release agreements were forwarded to the respective courts.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 10:46 AM, deputies saw SHAWN BURLESON, 29, standing in a driveway in the 3400 block of NE Oxford Circle, Corvallis. Deputies arrested BURLESON for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. BURLESON was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 3/24/2022, HARLOW, Taylor, 22, turned herself in on a warrant for FTA-Hindering. HARLOW was then released with a new court date and time.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On March 27th, 2022 at about 7:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hwy 99W and Schultz Road, just south of Monroe Oregon for a crash. They contacted the drivers of a Toyota pickup and a Subaru. The medics were working on a driver. Deputies ultimately arrested the driver of the Toyota Pickup for DUII. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was admitted. Both vehicles were towed.
THEFT 2 BY DECEPTION; IDENTITY THEFT - On March 27, 2022, around 11:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to the lobby doors of the Sheriff`s Office to speak with someone about a fraud that occurred. They reported they paid for a deposit on a new place to live, only to discover the house was not available to rent. At this time there is no suspect information.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at about 12:50 am, deputies stopped a green 1997 Ford Expedition on Technology Loop near Philomath Boulevard for having expired registration stickers. They later arrested a passenger in this vehicle, Nicholas Edward Hochstatter, 43, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant and for possession of a felony quantity of methamphetamine. Hochstatter was cited and released
THEFT 1 BY DECEPTION - On April 1, 2022, at about 4:30 pm, a caller reported he was unable to locate his wife after she was asked to pull out 20k over the phone several hours ago. Deputies contacted her at the downtown Safeway attempting to purchase gift cards. She said she was told her computer was hacked and was scammed out of 20K.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON APRIL 1 2022, JASMINE WILLIS, 26, TURNED HERSELF IN AT BCJ ON CITE AND RELEASE WARRANT OUT OF LINN COUNTY FOR FTA DUII. A NEW COURT DATE WAS ISSUED AND SHE WAS RELEASED.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON APRIL 1, 2022, SHERRIE FILIPELLI, 36, HERSELF IN AT BENTON COUNTY JAIL ON WARRANT FOR FTA-DUII OUT OF LINN COUNTY. A NEW COURT DATE WAS ISSUED AND SHE WAS RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - On 03/31/22, deputies were releasing Longo, David, 46, from custody when deputies learned he had a Linn County Cite and Release warrant for FTA/FELON POSS RST WPN. Longo was shown a copy of the warrant and given a release agreement to appear in Linn County.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, March 31, 2022, at about 11:10 am, deputies arrested Kyler James Fonger, 26, at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office on a confirmed State-Wide Felony Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Fonger was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On March 31, 2022, at approximately 5:00 AM, deputies responded to the area of Highway 34 and the Highway 34 Bypass for a suspicious car. They spoke to a female, later identified as Cassandra DILLINGER, 27, who asked deputies to contact Bob`s Towing for roadside assistance. Dispatch informed Cassandra DILLINGER had a Benton County Warrant for FTA-DUII and Reckless Driving. DILLINGER was issued a criminal citation and released.
WARRANT ARREST; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, March 25, 2022, at about 9:04 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and NE Granger Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they contacted both drivers involved. Unit number one was heading north on Highway 99W and stopped at the traffic light at Granger. Unit one was rear-ended by unit two. Unit two was headed north on Highway 99W. Unit two thought traffic was moving. Unit two was unable to stop prior to rear-ending unit one. The driver of unit two, Robert La Follette, 39, was cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and a warrant for his arrest.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 3/23/22 around 3:00 pm, Nicholas Aaron Adam, 41, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on warrants for ID Theft (x2) and PCS Meth (x2). Deputies issued Adam a new court date to appear in the Benton County Circuit court. Adam signed the release agreement and was released from the jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On March 10, 2022, Caleb Shockey, 19, of Scio, turned himself into BCJ on a warrant for Benton Co Circuit FTA violation of wildlife law bail $3000. Shockey was issued a court date and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On March 7, 2022, James Burchfield, 50, reported to BCJ on a Benton Co Circuit Court warrant for FTA assault IV, Dis Con II, bail $20000. A new court date was issued and he was released.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT; LITTERING - On March 29, 2022, around 7:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of Highway 99 for a possible menacing or criminal mischief call. Both callers reported their neighbor was making threats toward them and was throwing garbage into the street. The neighbor never came to the door and ignored all phone calls. It was determined deputies would not continue staying at the residence trying to speak with her. The manager of the trailer park was informed to call us if the neighbor left the trailer.
IMPORT/EXPORT MARIJUANA - On Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 1:38 PM, a resident in the 24600 block of Llewellyn Road reported he received a suspicious package in the mail on February 2. The package contained ten pounds of dried green marijuana, individually packed in vacuum bags weighing one pound each. The suspect(s) had used his address as a `DUMMY` return address and the package had been sent to Virginia but was returned due to unknown reasons. The Marijuana was seized and the matter was forwarded to USPS Inspectors.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 7:16 AM, driver 1 was traveling northbound on S 5th Street south of Dragon Drive in Monroe at an admitted speed of 60-65 MPH. He fell asleep and the vehicle he was operating crossed into the oncoming lane and left the west side of the roadway before he regained consciousness. He then overcorrected, crossing back over both lanes of travel. The vehicle then left the east side of the roadway and struck a fire hydrant, as well as a landscape feature made of concrete blocks, rolling onto its side and coming to rest against a power pole. He and his passenger both sustained minor cuts and scrapes. The driver was cited for Careless Driving. The car was towed due to damage.
ENDANGER WELFARE OF MINOR; WARRANT ARREST; POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE) - On March 24, 2022, at about 1:00 AM, deputies responded to the 3600 block of NW Knollwood Drive, Albany, for a prowler complaint in progress. Deputies subsequently arrested a nearby co-conspirator, Gregory Ireland, 52, for PCS methamphetamine, endangering the welfare of a minor, and an FTA warrant.
BURGLARY 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, March 24, 2022, at approximately 12:57 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of NW Knollwood Drive for a report of a prowler being observed remotely via a security camera attempting to enter the residence. Deputies arrived a short time later, located KOLTON STEPHEN KRAMER, 31, hiding in a storage area beneath the home, and arrested him for Attempted Burglary II and Trespass II. Deputies transported KOLTON to 2nd Chance Shelter in Albany where he was released with criminal citations.
LITTERING - On Monday, March 21, 2022, at approximately 5:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident regarding garbage left on the side of the road near his property. There were multiple black garbage bags with miscellaneous trash and clothes left in the area of 1600 NE Nebergall Loop NE, Albany. There was mail inside belonging to a male, but deputies have been unable to locate or contact him. The resident said he would throw the items away.
BURGLARY 2 - On March 20, 2022, at around 2:41 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NW Springhill Drive for a burglary report. A couple owns the property with a home and shop. One of them said sometime over the last few days, someone kicked in the locked entry door to their shop. Miscellaneous metal irrigation pipes and equipment were stolen from the shop. The house was vacant and was not entered. No suspect information at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at approximately 2:53 PM, deputies stopped LISA LEANNE CELLARIOUS, 61, for speeding in the area of Highway 20, milepost 7. LISA had an active confirmed warrant for her arrest out of the Corvallis Police Department for DUII. Deputies cited and released LISA for her confirmed warrant and issued her a traffic citation for speeding.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On March 26, 2022, at about 9:33 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NW Hwy 99w for a trespass. The caller reported three people in the field north of the mobile home park. Deputies contacted a group of friends. They admitted they entered the field earlier to climb on shipping containers. They were warned for Trespass.
FALSE INS INFO TO POLICE - On March 26th, 2022 at around 7:41 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a 2002 Mercedes with no plates and bearing an expired temporary tag in the back window. The driver was suspended violation. He was issued a citation for ORS.811.175 DWS Violation, and ORS.803.300 Fail to register a vehicle. He showed deputies an insurance card that appeared valid but deputies suspected it was not legitimate. After clearing the stop they called Geico and determined the insurance was put on the vehicle while deputies were on the traffic stop and that he did not have insurance prior to the stop and that he had lied about having liability insurance.
FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On March 26th, 2022 at around 12:08 AM, deputies made a traffic stop in the 2400 block of HWY 20 and contacted the driver of the vehicle, Scott Krieger, 61. Krieger had an active warrant for failing to appear on a DUII. Deputies contacted the Linn County Jail who authorized a citation in lieu of custody. Krieger was issued a criminal citation and released.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On March 25, 2022, at around 11:19 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2004 Ford Escape near NW Harrison Blvd and NW Sixth St. The driver identified himself as Aaron Eisler, 47. Dispatch informed there was a Restraining order protecting the passenger. Deputies arrested Eisler for Violation of a restraining order and transported him to Benton County Jail where he was lodged. The passenger was issued a citation for Driving while suspended-violation, and warned about the possession of methamphetamine.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On March 25th, 2021 around 11:12 PM, deputies contacted a male at the entrance of Takena Landing. The male was identified as Scott Medford, 43, who had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court, and also a State-wide felony warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board. Medford was taken into custody and transported to the Linn County Jail.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On March 24, 2022, at around 4:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to 20346 Hoskins Rd for a report of verbal harassment. At the residence, they spoke with April Newman, 62, and warned her about harassing three people. Shortly after leaving the scene April assaulted them and damaged numerous household items. Deputies transported April to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged for Criminal Trespass 1, Criminal Mischief 2, and two counts of Physical Harassment.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Thursday, March 24, 2022, at about 4:10 P.M. deputies were dispatched to the Parole and Probation lobby for a confirmed warrant on Charles Stephen Shore, 34. Charles was issued a citation in lieu of custody for two warrants, with a new court date at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Newport. Charles stated he knew where the courthouse was located. Charles was released so he could speak with his Probation Officer.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 1:01 PM, deputies stopped a black BMW sedan on NW Taylor Avenue near NW Kings Boulevard in Corvallis after recognizing the driver, JAMES ROSENBERRY, 27, who had suspended driving privileges and multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. ROSENBERRY was cited and released on his confirmed warrants due to overcrowding at the Benton County Jail. ROSENBERRY was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 11:50 AM, deputies contacted and arrested KARLY TARVIN, 26, for an outstanding felony warrant after they observed her walking in the area of SW 3rd Street and SW B Avenue in Corvallis. TARVIN had attempted to hide in an alleyway and change her clothing to conceal her identity. TARVIN was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on her confirmed warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 22, 2022, at around 4:41 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a 2003 Honda Accord near SE 3rd St and SW Adams St. They later arrested passenger Charles Hill, 33, for an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for a Probation Violation. Hill was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged. The driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 3:33 PM, deputies were in the area of SW 6th Street and SW D Avenue in Corvallis known as "The Meadow", attempting to locate subjects with active warrants. Deputies arrested NICOLE DOWNEY, 35, on multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants which were confirmed by Dispatch. DOWNEY was transported to the Linn County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 22, 2022, around 4:00 PM, deputies were on foot patrol in the area of Pioneer Park, Corvallis. Deputies made contact with a male inside his tent, who identified himself as Mathew Edward Maloney, 41. Dispatch advised Maloney had a Parole Violation Warrant out of Linn County, and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant. Deputies transported Maloney to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and released to Linn County Jail staff.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at about 1:50 PM, deputies saw a silver pickup in Hyak Park. They ran the plate and discovered the registered owner, Dwayne Ludy, 56, had a Linn County Circuit Court misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear- Littering, with no bail. Deputies confirmed the male standing outside the truck was Dwayne by using a DMV photo. Dwayne`s warrant was confirmed and he was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER ATTEMPTED - On Monday, March 21, at approximately 8:50 P.M., Jail deputies attempted to remove a mattress from the holding cell that was housing Joshua William Blok, 30, because he had started to destroy the mattress. During the course of removing the mattress, Blok attempted to assault multiple deputies and bit one deputy, causing an injury to her right wrist. Blok was arrested for Assault III, Criminal Mischief II, and Attempted Assault III.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, March 21, 2022, at 1:06 PM, deputies contacted a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in the 1700 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis. They arrested the driver, TIFFANY BATES, 21, on multiple outstanding warrants. BATES was transported to the Linn County Jail where she was booked and lodged on her confirmed warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 21, 2022, deputies were in the area of Monroe City Park and located Franklin Carl LaFever, 54. He was arrested for a confirmed Parole Violation Warrant for Rape 1 from Oregon State Parole Board.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, March 21, 2022, at about 12:55 am, deputies stopped a silver 2002 Acura RSX on Highway 20 near NW Scenic Drive for driving 61 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Deputies later arrested the driver, Luis Silvestre Nunez Mendoza, 34, of Dallas, on a Polk County Circuit Court warrant. At Polk County`s request, Nunez Mendoza was cited and released.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On March 28, 2022, at about 7:17 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 18600 block of Prairie View Dr. a resident reported an unknown suspect stole 5-10 gallons of gas from a 4600 Ford tractor parked under a pole barn on the property. The suspect also damaged a fitting for the carburetor trying to pull off the fuel line. He believed the theft occurred the evening of 3/27/22. He requested extra patrol in the Alsea area.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On March 28, 2022, at about 5:30 pm, a resident reported a male subject trespassing on her property located in the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Dr. She observed the male on a ring camera walking south through the orchard about 45 minutes prior. Deputies were unable to locate anybody with their drone. Deputies recommended she erect no trespassing signs so it could be enforced in the future.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On March 28, 2022, at about 5:06 pm, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported on March 26, 2022, at about 9:58 pm, a male suspect vandalized his BLM sign by painting it. He has video of the back of the suspect, described as a white male, 6`ft, wearing a construction vest, white shorts, and sneakers. The suspect used yellow paint to write, white lives matter, on the sign. He valued the sign at $100. Deputies sent him a link to submit his surveillance videos. No suspects at this time.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:54 AM, a resident in the 4400 block of NW Bramblewood Lane in Albany called to report he had been the victim of a fraud. Someone had submitted a 2020 federal tax return in his name to the IRS back in February of 2021. He was unsure of how his identity could have been compromised but was provided with a case number to furnish to the IRS and advice as to how to prevent it from happening again in the future.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 4:21 PM, deputies arrested CODY LEE, 29, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants after a short foot pursuit near the railroad tracks at 1500 SW Avery Park Drive in Corvallis. LEE was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his confirmed warrants.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On March 21, 2022, around 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street, Alsea, for a theft that had occurred the morning before. The caller reported three bags of cans had been stolen from the bag after his fencing had been cut. It can be seen in video footage that a red early 2010s Chrysler Town and Country minivan back down the alleyway where the cans were stored. Two males wearing dark-colored clothing left the vehicle with their hoods up. The incident occurred around 3:00 AM on March 21, 2022.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On March 18, 2022, Danny Caldwell, 46, was brought in by BCSO PO on a Benton PV warrant, which was not cleared. Deputies had dispatch clear the warrant. Caldwell was held in BCJ and given a new court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 3/14/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:12 PM, SMITH, JACOB, 29, ROBERT TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A PAROLE WARRANT FOR SEX ASSAULT, NO BAIL. DEPUTIES CONFIRMED THE WARRANT WITH RECORDS AND THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON SMITH.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, March 19, 2022, at about 12:45 am, deputies stopped a silver Ford F350 on Main Street near 17th Street in Philomath for failing to drive in lane. They later arrested the driver, Matthew James Nelson, 36, of Mill City, on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant. Nelson was cited and released.
MENACING; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; UNLAW USE OF WEAPON - CARRY CONCEALED; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On March 18th, 2022 at around 6:41 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5600 block of NW Oak Creek Drive for a cold menacing. On March 19th, Noah Fox, 42, was taken into custody and booked at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 18, 2022, at around 6:24 pm deputies initiated a traffic stop on a silver 2006 Nissan Altima near SW 53rd St and West Hills Rd. They later arrested Jeffrey Pearce, 44, for Driving while suspended-misdemeanor and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree. Pearce was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, March 18, 2022, detectives were verifying the registration residence of current sex offenders. They arrived in the 200 block of SW 53rd Street and spoke to Michael Hussey, 67. Dispatch informed them Michael had a confirmed Warrant for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. Michael was currently out of compliance and had not registered recently. Deputies issued a citation in lieu of custody due to current health problems. They informed Michael him they did not update his registration and that he would need to renew his registration.
DUII – On March 18, 2022, deputies stopped Mickinley Allen Langager, 25, of Lebanon, at 5th Ave and Van Buren, after making an un-signaled left-hand turn. Langager was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 17, 2022, at around 10:07 pm, deputies arrested Wendell Stephens, 54, in the 2600 block of SW Pickford St for confirmed warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court for Fail to appear- PCS Meth and Benton County Circuit Court for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree. Stephens was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 12:27 PM, deputies arrested TERRY HERBERT, 44, ANTONIA CODDINGTON, 32, and LUKE ELBINGER, 30, for outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants after locating them in the 1700 block of NE Four Acre Place in Corvallis. CODDINGTON and ELBINGER were transported to the Benton County Jail where they were booked and lodged on their confirmed warrants. HERBERT was transported to the Linn County Jail due to overcrowding, where he was booked and lodged on his confirmed warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 10:53 AM, deputies located and arrested COLTON FISHER, 26, for an outstanding felony warrant in the area of Pioneer Park at 1300 SW Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis. FISHER was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his confirmed warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 9:28 AM, deputies contacted ANDREA DORMAN, 36, in a black Ford Edge SUV in the parking lot of 1120 NW 9th Street in Corvallis. DORMAN was arrested for a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked before being subsequently released due to overcrowding.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, March 14, 2022, at 10:38 AM, deputies stopped a dark blue Toyota 4Runner SUV for a traffic violation on Camp Adair Road near Highway 99W. The driver, COLBY WALL, 30, of Salem, was arrested (cited and released) for multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants. WALL was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and Driving Uninsured.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Sunday, March 13, 2022, at about 1:15 am, deputies stopped a silver Ford sedan on SW 15th Street near SW A Avenue for driving with no headlights on. They later arrested the driver, Riley Gail Johnson, 18, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Johnson was cited and released.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at about 10:10 pm, deputies stopped a white Toyota Prius on Highway 99 near Conifer Boulevard for failure to drive within lane. They later arrested the driver, Jamie Lee Asunsolo, 32, of Eugene, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Asunsolo was cited and released.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at about 2:25 am, deputies were driving east on Harrison Boulevard near Circle Boulevard when they saw a silver 2005 Toyota 4Runner driving west with no headlights or taillights on. They later arrested the driver, Austin Ray O`Bannon, 22, of Bend, for DUII and Reckless Driving. O`Bannon was cited and released.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 12:23 PM, deputies stopped a dark blue Honda Civic coupe driven by LAWRENCE LEMASTER JR, in the area of 24th Street and Green Street in Philomath. LEMASTER was arrested (cited and released) on multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. LEMASTER was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and Driving Uninsured. Numerous items of stolen property were located and seized from his vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 13, 2021, at 1:45 AM, deputies contacted Tyler Up-Meyer, 27, of Lebanon, sleeping in a vehicle on Adair Frontage Road near Highway 99W in Adair Village. Up-Meyer had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Contempt of Court/ DUII, Bail $10,000. Up-Meyer was cited into Lebanon Municipal Court and given a new court date.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On March 12, 2022, around 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 223, for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The caller reported the female driving the motorcycle was injured. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and was treated for six broken ribs. The motorcycle was later retrieved by her husband.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, March 11, 2022, at about 2:10 pm, deputies stopped Steven James Hillenkamp, 60, of Eugene, for Improper Positioning on a Highway on Highway 99W near milepost 99. They later arrested Hillenkamp on two confirmed cite and release warrants. They provided Hillenkamp a courtesy ride to Corvallis, issued him criminal citations, and released him.
MENACING - On March 10, 2022, at around 9:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 31700 block of Whitman Way for a report of violence between a male and female. They later arrested Jessica McConnell, 39, for Menacing. McConnell was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT; RECKLESS DRIVING - On March 3, 2022, at about 8:03 a.m., deputies responded to a non-injury crash on NW Highland Drive at NW Crescent Valley Drive in Corvallis. A vehicle failed to stop for the stop sign on NW Crescent Valley Drive at NW Highland Drive and continued east through the intersection, thru a roadside ditch, into a yard striking a house in the 4200 block of NW Highland Drive. Marcos Johseph Perez-Jensen, 18, was cited for: no operator`s license, no insurance, fail to obey a traffic control device, reckless driving, and criminal mischief II. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 11:54 AM, deputies arrested a male named JORY DAVIS, 37, of Lebanon, on multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants after he pulled his vehicle into the driveway of a residence at the intersection of Benton View Drive and Mount Union Avenue in Philomath. DAVIS was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his confirmed warrants. DAVIS was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured
HARASSMENT PHONE - On March 12, 2022, at about 5:30 pm, deputies spoke with an employee by phone in the 4400 block of NE Hwy 20. She reported an unknown male subject left a threatening voicemail on the business phone line. Deputies recommended she inform all staff of the incident and have them report any suspicious behavior.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - March 9, 2022, 2:15 p.m., deputies performed a welfare check on a puppy living in the 4900 block of SE 3rd Street in Corvallis. The puppy was in good health. No codes or laws were being broken.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On March 10, 2022, 9:43 a.m. a dog owner living in the 26100 block of Foster Road received a warning for his dog running at large onto two neighbor`s properties defecating and getting into the trash.
HARBORING A BARKING DOG – On March 9, 2022, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living in the 24600 block of Evergreen Road in Philomath a warning for her dog barking "all day" the day before and disturbing a neighbor.
WARRANT ARREST; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On March 8, 2022, at around 5:57 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash near Highway 20 Milepost 48. Kathrin Bly, 50, of Monmouth, was driving a blue 2010 Ford Fusion west on Highway 20 when she rear-ended a red 2012 Ford Fusion, which had stopped behind a gray 2012 Dodge Journey, which as was stopped and waiting to turn across traffic into a residential driveway. In lieu of custody, Bly was issued criminal citations for three Linn County Circuit Court warrants for Probation Violation-PCS meth, an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt, a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for Probation Violation-Theft III, and a Philomath Municipal Court warrant for FTC-DUII. Bly was also issued citations for Driving while suspended-violation and Driving uninsured. The blue Ford was towed from the scene and there were no injuries. Bly was given a ride home.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 3/8/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:40 PM, GILLESPIE, JEFFREY, 56. TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF JAIL LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST ON A WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, BAIL $3K. GILLESPIE WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
MINOR IN POSS OF LIQUOR - On March 5, 2022, at around 12:10 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a 2013 Volkswagen Passat near NW 7th St and Van Buren Ave. They later issued Jaden Perez, 20, of Salem, Celeste Goetze, 19, of Portland, and Rachel Temple, 18, of Portland, citations for minor in possession of alcohol.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 03/04/22 Hickman, James, 59, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co cite and release warrant for FTA, Fail to report as a sex offender. Hickman was cited and released with a new court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 03/04/22 LEWIS, Robert, 49, turned himself in at Benton CO Jail on a Benton Co Circuit warrant for FTA PCS. Deputies issued Lewis a new court date.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On February 28, 2022, at about 4:26 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 27600 block of Llewellyn Rd. Two men, including Henry H Doiban, 50, of Staten Island, NY, got into a physical altercation during which several vehicles were vandalized. Deputies later located Doiban and issued him a citation for Criminal Mischief.
DUII - On February 26th, 2022 at around 7:06 PM, deputies were driving westbound on Highway 20 near Davis road at around milepost 41. They observed a white Ford pickup pulled over onto the north shoulder of the roadway near the exit of the weigh scales. They contacted the driver, Cody Crabtree, 22, who deputies determined was impaired. Crabtree was subsequently arrested for DUII and transported to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office where he provided a breath sample. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released to his mother.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at a12:00 am, deputies stopped a red 2012 Ford Focus for going 64 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on Highway 20 near Highway 34. I later arrested one of the passengers in the car, Laura Lee King, 51, on an Albany Municipal Court Warrant. King was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On March 7, 2022, at about 7:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to HWY 34 and Greasy Creek Rd for a vehicle in the ditch. When they arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied with its hazard lights on. The rear of the vehicle was sticking out far enough into the intersection that it was towed for being a traffic hazard. Once back at the office deputies contacted the registered owner who stated nobody had permission to drive the vehicle and it was parked at her daughter`s apartment complex in Albany. Deputies asked her to verify with her daughter before reporting the vehicle as stolen with APD.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Monday, March 7, 2022, at 3:48 PM, deputies saw a male walking in the middle of the roadway on S 5th Street near Dragon Drive in Monroe. Traffic was having to swerve to avoid hitting him. Deputies took NIKOLAS COFFEY, 39, of Ukiah, CA, into custody. COFFEY, who was highly intoxicated, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and also cited for Disorderly Conduct II.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On Monday, March 7, 2022, at 12:30 PM, deputies stopped a white Honda Accord sedan for a traffic violation in the area of Highway 99W and Airport Road. They arrested the passenger, JAY MARSH, 57, of Lebanon, for violating a confirmed no-contact release agreement. MARSH was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On March 7, 2022, deputies were dispatched to the 24400 block of Starr Creek Road for a report of a dog bite. Deputies contacted a female who was riding her bicycle on 3/6/22 along Foster Road in Monroe. Around 11 am, three dogs came running down the driveway in the 26100 block of Foster Road barking at her. One dog, a silver/gray colored lab, came up from behind her and bit her on the buttocks, knocking her to the ground.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 1:33 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a male by phone regarding vandalism to his 2010 Ford Edge SUV which occurred at the BLM Campground at 21500 South Ford Road in Alsea. He alleged unknown individuals at an adjacent campsite had possibly shot his vehicle with a BB gun. He also believed his dog was poisoned a few days later. He is now in Washington and waited weeks to report the incident and stated he was not concerned with the relatively minor damage to his vehicle.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On March 6, 2022, around 7:40 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone, in regards to her dog being shot. She said her dog returned to her home in the 1000 block of Marion Street, Corvallis, bleeding and limping. Deputies went to the area and spoke with a neighbor who told deputies he shot the dog with a pellet gun, in an attempt to scare the dog away. After speaking with both there does not appear to be a crime that had been committed. Deputies informed the dog owner she could be cited for her dog being at large and told her to install a permanent gate so her dog does not escape, avoiding a similar situation to arise again.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Sunday, March 6, 2022, at about 1:25 am, deputies saw a black Mercedes sedan driving southeast on NW Arnold Way near NW Harrison Boulevard at 48 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. They later arrested the driver, Amir Ali Fenderski, 21, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Fenderski was cited and released.
BURGLARY 1 - On March 5, 2022, at around 12:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block N. 9th Street in Philomath for a burglary. A male was home alone when he heard footsteps inside of the house. He thought the footsteps were coming from his parents. Then his dog started barking and he looked outside and did not see his mother`s vehicle. He grabbed a firearm and checked the rest of the house and found the back slider door open. No suspect information.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On March 5, 2022, at around 8:30 am, deputies responded to the 39200 block of Kings Valley Highway for a found dog. A resident found a large Great Pyrenees dog inside his shop on his property. The dog had no collar or identification on it. Deputies checked the area and were unable to find an owner. They transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis where staff checked for a microchip. Owner information was found and Heartland Staff called the owner for them to retrieve their dog. Records show BCSO Animal Control picked up this same dog in January 2022.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 5, 2022, deputies responded to the 200 block of NW 53rd St, Corvallis to contact Eric Odell Gilstrap, 40. Gilstrap was issued citations for warrants out of Linn and Benton Counties.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; DUII; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; ESCAPE 3; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE FOOT - On Saturday, March 5, 2022, at about 1:40 am, while searching for a wrong-way driver reported to be traveling south on 3rd Street, they saw a black 2021 Kia Optima driving south, against traffic, on 3rd Street near the Highway 34 Bypass. When they turned on their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, the Kia fled. The driver, later identified as Corleone Casta Smith, 20, of Roseburg, eventually crashed near 701 SW 7th Street. Smith was arrested for felony Attempt to Elude, Escape 3, DUII, Reckless Driving, Disorderly Conduct II, and Criminal Mischief II. The passenger, Paris Dinneen, 18, of Roseburg, was charged with Disorderly Conduct II, Resisting Arrest, Interfering w/Peace Officer, and Hindering Prosecution. Due to overcrowding at the Benton County Jail, they were cited and released.
DUII - On 03/05/2022 at approximately 12:45 am, deputies observed two vehicles street racing in Corvallis. Both vehicles stopped and an argument ensued. Several males in a black sedan told deputies the other males had conducted a hit and run. The other males got in the car and began to drive away. They eventually yielded near the intersection at 28th St and Grant Ave. Deputies conducted a DUII investigation which led to the arrest of Christopher Baracco-Caron, 18, of Happy Valley, for DUII. Baracco-Caron was processed for DUII at the Sheriff`s Office.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 4, 2022, at around 10:20 pm, deputies contacted Enrique Navarro Herrera, 55, while he sat in a parked white 1998 Cadillac DeVille near the intersection of N Albany Rd and NW Hickory St. Deputies later arrested Herrera for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court. Herrera was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On March 4, 2022, at 6:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of E Alder St for a report of a suspicious person. A male reported one man, possibly two, was captured on his mother`s house`s security camera trying to open the front door and talking about the number of security cameras. He sent deputies a screenshot of the unknown man
DWS MIS - On March 4, 2022, at around 5:08 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on SE 3rd St on a blue 1998 Plymouth Neon for failing to signal multiple times. They later arrested the driver, Nickolas Rhodes, 34, for Driving while suspended, a misdemeanor. Deputies issued Rhodes a criminal citation for DWS-M in lieu of custody. They also issued Rhodes citations for operating a vehicle without required lighting equipment, driving uninsured, and failure to register a vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, March 4, 2022, at about 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Springer Road for a vehicle crash. They arrived and observed a 2018 Honda CRV, crashed upside down in the ditch on the north side of Highway 20. The driver stated he wasn`t paying attention to the road and crashed. He made several statements about not feeling well prior to driving. He was issued a citation for Careless Driving and a tow company recovered the Honda.
DWS MIS; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On March 4th, 2022, at around 1:20 AM, deputies stopped a blue Plymouth Neon in the parking lot in the 1900 block of NW 3rd Street for expired tags and no turn signals. The driver, Nickolas Rhodes, 34, was criminally suspended. He also did not have a license or any identification on him and was uninsured. Rhodes was issued a criminal citation for ORS.811.182 - Driving while suspended or revoked misdemeanor, ORS.807.570 - fail to carry or present a license. He was also issued a traffic citation for ORS.806.010 Driving uninsured, 803.300- fail to register vehicle, and ORS.816.330- Operating a vehicle without required lights.
WARRANT ARREST - On March 3rd, 2022, at around 7:33 PM, deputies observed a while Chrysler 300 traveling southbound from SW 15th Street, across Philomath Blvd, and onto SW Avery Park Dr. They made a traffic stop on the vehicle in Avery Park. Jason Tyler Haynes, 37, had a suspended driver`s license and an outstanding warrant for FTA-Felon in possession of a weapon. He was issued a traffic citation for DWS-violation and also issued a citation in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, March 3, 2022, at about 7:25 am, deputies were dispatched to SE Keiger Island Drive near milepost 1 for a non-injury crash. They arrived to find a white, 2002 BMW sedan in a ditch off the south side of the road. The car was unoccupied and deputies were unable to reach the registered owner of the vehicle. A hold was placed on the BMW. The vehicle sustained minor damage and did not meet crash form criteria.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at approximately 9:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and W Ingram Island Road for a report of an unknown injury crash. Deputies found a driver had been traveling south on Highway 99W in her 2009 Chrysler 300. She started making a left turn onto W Ingram Island Road and failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming 2003 Toyota Corolla. That driver was unable to avoid a collision with the Chrysler and crashed into the right rear quarter panel of it causing moderate damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Chrysler said she saw the Toyota coming but thinks it may have been going too fast. She did not agree with the deputy’s interpretation of the laws. Deputies issued her a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way at an Uncontrolled Intersection.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On Wednesday, March 2nd, 202,2 at approximately 5 pm, deputies executed a search warrant in the 23000 block of Highway 34, Philomath to recover a stolen 2002 Dodge Durango. Additional items were seized during the warrant and the vehicle was recovered.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT – On March 2, 2022, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of NW Mountain View Drive in Corvallis for a dog stuck in the blackberry bushes. When deputies arrived the dog was no longer stuck and had not been injured.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 9:31 AM, deputies located an unoccupied stolen vehicle on Decker Road, just west of Peterson Road. The vehicle was a red, 2002 Toyota Tundra pickup that had been taken sometime during the night or early that morning from a residence on Newton Street in Philomath. Deputies assisted with processing the pickup.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, around 3:25 P.M., three juveniles were were driving home in a Ford Ranger to the Monroe area. The Ford crashed on Highway 34 near milepost 51, going down a steep embankment. No one was injured and the Ford was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On March 1, 2022, around 2:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School, for a cold motor vehicle accident. The caller reported their daughter had crashed her vehicle into the guardrail near the school, and a passenger had a sore neck. She said she was traveling south on Crescent Drive at approximately 60 MPH. She said she did not realize she was driving as fast as she was coming into a corner, and failed to negotiate a turn, crashing into the guardrail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at about 9:50 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on NE Granger Avenue near NE Pettibone Drive, North of Corvallis. Driver 1 was driving west on NE Granger Avenue at approximately 50 MPH when Driver 1 failed to negotiate a sharp right-hand corner. Car 1 left the roadway, grazing a power pole, knocking over a road sign, and then jumping a large ditch. The vehicle landed in a field and sustained mild front-end damage and heavy rear-end damage. Driver 1 was issued a citation for No Operators License as well as No Insurance. There was a road sign that was knocked over but otherwise no major property damage occurred. Car 1 was towed from the scene due to damage.
