Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On November 30, 2021, deputies responded to a single vehicle in the ditch on NW Reservoir Rd east of West Hills Rd. The vehicle was unoccupied and cold to the touch. There were no signs of injury. A tow company removed the vehicle and towed it back to their lot.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, November 29, 2021 at 3:41 PM, deputies stopped a male as he was walking on Highway 20 near Granger Avenue for the violation of Improperly Proceeding Along a Highway. ALAN THAYER, 42, had a confirmed, outstanding felony warrant. THAYER was arrested on his warrant and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 27, 2021, at about 3:16 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of the 5100 block of NE Willamette Avenue for a dog at large attempting to get onto a property in the 6100 block of NE William R Carr Street and digging under his fence. This was the third time that day the dog was at large. SHERRIE FILIPELLI`s, 36, was released to FILIPELLI and deputies cited her for Benton County Ordinance or Code violation "Dog at Large" and issued her a citation in lieu of custody for FTA - Child Neglect II out of Benton County Circuit Court.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday November 23, 2021 at about 10:35 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 99W near milepost #91. They later arrested the driver, BILLY LEROY KEATING, 44, for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). He was cited and released in the field.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at approximately 1:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W near Adair Frontage Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located a red Chevy Truck with Washington License Plate and a male later identified. The man told deputies he was picking mistletoe in a tree. As they continued to speak with him and his passenger. The man became very agitated and was yelling nonsense about how he has complaints and lawsuits going with various law enforcement personnel in King County, Washington.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at approximately 11:00 A.M., a driver was traveling North, up Mary`s Peak Road near mile post 8, when he lost control of his 2021, Toyota Rav 4 due to rain and slush on the roadway. He drove into the embankment and rolled the vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:09 AM, a white 2015 BMW 43G sedan was traveling westbound on Highway 34 at Dinner Creek Road. It had been lightly raining in the area and the asphalt was wet. The driver lost control of his car while negotiating a left hand corner too quickly for the conditions. The vehicle left the north side of the roadway and rolled down an embankment, nearly ending up on its roof in a creek. He and his three passengers were able to self-extricate. He and his passengers were transported by medics to Good Samaritan Hospital for apparent minor injuries and complaints of pain. The vehicle was towed due to damage and he was cited for Careless Driving.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:21 AM, a resident in the 8200 block of NW Chaparral Drive in Corvallis reported that the day prior around 2:48 PM, a black Honda Civic coupe, occupied by a male and female came onto her property, according to her neighbor. The couple allegedly took photos of her residence before leaving in their vehicle when she tried to confront them. The car was registered out of The Dalles and had no local contacts.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Monday, November 29, 2021, at approximately 7:27 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of NW Alder Creek, Corvallis for report of a suspicious person. A resident reported hearing someone knocking on her front door and then her back sliding glass door. Deputies responded and found no one on the property or in the area.
RESISTING ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On November 27, 2021, at around 12:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 6100 block of NE William R Carr St for a found dog. A resident reported a previously-known black shepherd mix dog was trying to dig under his backyard fence. Deputies took the dog back to its owner’s house, located in the 5100 NE Willamette Ave. A man at the residence provided the name "David Weaver", which matched with a Statewide Parole Board Warrant, and he looked similar to the DMV photo. Weaver resisted arrest. Deputies later learned Weaver’s name was David Derrick Everetts, 34. Everetts was transported to the Benton County Jail and fingerprinted. Deputies issued Everetts criminal citations for Providing False Information to a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 8:11 AM, a resident reported two of his cars were broken into while they were parked in the driveway of his residence in the 6300 block NE William R Carr Street in Adair Village sometime during the night. Between the two vehicles, he was missing $30 in cash and an OSU Football backpack containing an Apple MacBook laptop computer worth $200.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On Thursday October 7, 2021, deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief that had just occurred near Fern and Powder house in Philomath. Several debris bins were intentionally hit by a passing vehicle.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at approximately 5:45 PM, deputies spoke with a business owner regarding the door to one of his storage units in Monroe, which had been damaged recently. The lessee of the storage unit declined to speak with deputies regarding any theft and the owner told deputies he preferred to not pursue any criminal charges against the suspect(s).
ASSAULT 4 - On Sunday, November 28, 2021, at about 9:15pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a reported assault in the 4600 NE Elliott Circle. They later arrested Jackson Avery Gault, 18, for Assault 4. Gault was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3:24 PM, deputies arrested KRISTINA HASS, 32, for multiple confirmed, outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants after they located her sitting in her SUV on NW 1st Street near NW Tyler Avenue in Corvallis. HASS was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/28/2021 at approximately 4:20 am, deputies initiated a mere contact with an adult female in the 1200 block of Applegate Street. The female was identified as Ambyr Dawson, 35, of Sweet Home. Dawson had an active arrest warrant from Albany Police Department. Dawson was issued a citation in lieu of custody for Contempt of Court.
RESISTING ARREST; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Saturday, November 27, 2021, at about 11:10 pm, deputies saw a vehicle traveling north on Highway 99 near Finley Road at 73 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. They later arrested the driver, David Benjamin Adams, 45, of Junction City, for failure to present a license and resisting arrest. Adams was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 27, 2021, at around 10:32 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 20 Milepost 39. The driver, Cesar Pablo Reyes, 38, of Sweet Home, had a warrant out of Benton County Circuit for Harassing Communications (x2). Deputies issued Pablo Reyes a criminal citation for the warrant.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (FELONY); FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On November 26, 2021, deputies arrested JEFFREY EARL BENZ, 43, of Deming, WA, for Unlawful Possession of  Methamphetamine and Failure to carry and present a driver’s license after a traffic stop on Blue Stem Place near Barley Hill Drive. BENZ was in possession of about one half ounce of Methamphetamine.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, November 25, 2021, at approximately 9:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a report of a blocking non-injury crash on Springhill Drive near milepost 6. Driver 1 was driving east on Springhill Drive when the front left tire fell off his vehicle causing his 2003 Toyota Tundra to become immobilized in the roadway. When the tire came off his vehicle it struck Driver 2’s westbound 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, causing moderate damage and rendering the vehicle disabled.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday November 24, 2021 at about 11:15 PM, deputies contacted RICHARD ALLEN SATHER, 32, and NICOLE CHRISTINE WHITTIER, 28, in a vehicle that was not running on NW Circle/NW 27th St, Corvallis. Both had outstanding warrants; they were both cited and released.
DUII - On November 24, 2021 at about 10:30 PM, deputies responded to Highway 20 near milepost 33 Blodgett, Lincoln County, for a two-vehicle crash. After traffic cleared, deputies observed a driver blocking traffic and the westbound portion of the highway. The driver, Michael Rafferty, 56, of Newport, was subsequently arrested for DUII.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday November 24, 2021 at about 8:00 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 200, near milepost #3 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, ANTHONY ALAN COCHRANE, 43, of Junction City, had an outstanding warrant out of Linn County Justice Court. COCHRANE was issued a citation in the field and released.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at about 10:35 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 99W near milepost #91. They arrested the driver, BILLY LEROY KEATING, 44, for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). He was cited and released in the field.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On November 23, 2021 around 6:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 20 and Granger Avenue for a motor vehicle crash with possible injuries. Vehicle 1 crashed into vehicle 2 while attempting to turn left onto Highway 20 from Granger Ave. The driver of vehicle 2 was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by her husband for minor injuries. The driver of vehicle 1 was uninjured.
FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On November 23, 2021 at about 5:15 am, deputies stopped Corry Tyler Harman, 28, of Independence, for a traffic violation in downtown Albany. Harman was DWS-Violation and had a confirmed Polk County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-Traffic Offense, $5000 bail. Deputies issued Harman a citation for DWS-Vio and the warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 22, 2021, around 8:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle crash on 53rd Street, Corvallis, near milepost three, with unknown injuries. The caller reported the vehicle was flipped onto its side and was not sure if there was anyone inside. Deputies located the driver at his grandparent`s residence and cited him for careless driving.
DEPOSIT LIGHTED MATERIAL - On 11/22/2021 at approximately 5:49 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white sedan in Philomath. The driver was reported for having thrown a lit cigarette out his window. Nicholas Ragan was issued a criminal citation for throwing burning material out of his vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 22, 2021 at around 1:34 AM, deputies saw a male climbing through some bushes that divide a parking lot and the sidewalk. They contacted the male who provided them the name and date of birth as LEVI GRUENHAGEN. GRUENHAGEN, 40, had a cite-and-release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Felon in possession of a restricted weapon. GRUENHAGEN was cited on his warrant and released from custody.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On 11/20/2021 at approximately 10:01 pm, deputies responded to a crash on HWY 99W near milepost 104. Upon arrival they conducted a DUII investigation. Julio Velazco, 32, of Springfield, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:35 PM, deputies arrested JARRYN GRIMES, 27, on a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant on SW Wake Robin Avenue near SW Pickford Street in Corvallis. GRIMES was in possession of a coat which belonged to the Corvallis Fire Department which was seized and later returned to a Battalion Chief. GRIMES was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for his warrant.
MENACING; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Thursday, November 18, 2021, at about 2:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of suspicious activity in the 96400 block of Highway 99W. They later warned the reporting person about threatening people on public property and driving recklessly.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, November 18, 2021, at about 12:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Independence Highway near NW Palestine Avenue. Driver 1 had been traveling north on Independence Highway when she left the paved surface and went onto the shoulder of the road. She then overcorrected her steering after leaving the roadway, causing her car to roll. They driver was transported by medics to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and her vehicle was towed.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at about 3:05 pm, deputies were advised Jordon Giftai, 31, was in the Parole and Probation office lobby. Giftai had a confirmed warrant out of Deschutes County for Sex Abuse II. Deputies contacted Giftai in the P&P Lobby, advised him he had a warrant. Deputies then walked Gaftai to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged for the warrant.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at approximately 10:35 A.M., deputies stopped Carlos Daniel Gonzalez, 20, of Salem, for a traffic violation. They later cited him for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor, as well as Violation of the Posted Speed in a School zone, for 48 miles per hour in a 20 mile per hour zone.
THEFT 3; UUV; POSS STOLEN VEHICLE - On 11/17/2021 at approximately 3:23 am, deputies responded to 200 NW 53rd Street for a report of suspicious activity. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Richard Sather, 32, for Theft II, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Governmental Administration. Sather was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On Friday, November 12, 2021 at 12:27 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the 25100 block of Alpine Road in Monroe for a physical altercation. A resident reported one of the other residents of that address, CHRISTOPHER TAYLOR, 35, pushed her, spit on her, and painted her arm with a paintbrush. TAYLOR left the residence before deputy arrival, but was located a few days later. TAYLOR admitted to attempting to block the reporter from entering the house and painting her arm with the paintbrush during the altercation. TAYLOR was cited and released for Harassment.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, November 12, 2021 at approximately 11:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 and Kings Valley Highway for a crash. Deputies arrived and learned that vehicle 1 was driving east on Highway 20 near Kings Valley Highway in a box truck. Vehicle 2 was turning from Eastbound Highway 20, north onto Kings Valley Highway in a log truck with 100-foot long, log poles. The driver of vehicle 1 tried to drive around the logs that were extended into the east bound lane. There was a trailing vehicle behind the log truck. One of the log poles struck the box truck behind the cab on the driver’s side and extended through the cargo portion. No damage to the log truck.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 7, 2021 at about 6:00 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Andee Neighbors, 23, for expired tags on the vehicle she was driving. Dispatch advised Neighbors had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Lebanon Oregon PD. Neighbors was cited and released to appear on a later date.
DUII - On Friday, November 5, 2021, at about 1:15 am, deputies stopped a silver Nissan Frontier pickup truck in the 2600 block of NW 9th Street for having no visible registration plate lights. They later arrested the driver, Randall Scott Curtis, 55, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Curtis was cited and given a ride to a relative’s home.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November, 5, 2021, at approximately 1:14 AM, deputies stopped a silver 2001 Nissan Frontier pickup truck for a traffic violation in the area of Walnut Boulevard and 9th Street in Corvallis. A passenger, later identified as NICOLE RENEE PATTERSON, 24, walked away from the traffic stop and was identified a short distance away. Deputies arrested NICOLE on nine confirmed warrants for her arrest and released her with a criminal citation and new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Nov. 18, 2021 at approximately 11:24 am, HAWKINS, Paul Michael, 37, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at the Benton County Circuit Court. A valid warrant was confirmed served by deputies for FTA – Menacing. Hawkins was released after having signed a release agreement to appear at court.
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/15/2021 about 4:00 pm, SALPAS, Che Kristian, 22, reported to the Benton County Jail on two confirmed warrants for FTA Contempt of court-Misdemeanor. SALPAS was given a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 11/10/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:33 AM, PERREARD, DARREN, 51, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA ATT CLASS A MISD. PERREARD WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 11, 2021, Trael Hall, 36, turned herself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a confirmed warrant. The warrant was served and the subject was issued a new court date to appear.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On November 9, 2021, around 3:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 26500 block of Shady Oak Drive, Monroe, for a possible harassment or disorderly conduct. The caller reported his landlord`s daughter had thrown a rock through the window of their residence and had threatened his girlfriend. No one was able to provide information for her location or find a phone number. No further action will be taken at this time.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Sunday, November 21, 2021, at about 11:15 pm, deputies arrested Jevon Thomas Smith, 31, in the 1300 block of College Street on multiple Benton County Circuit Court warrants. Jevon was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 21, 2021, at 2:17 PM, deputies stopped Ernesto Aguirre-Valencia, 27, of Salem, on Highway 99W near Ryals Avenue in Adair Village. Ernesto was cited for traveling 87 miles per hour, Driving While Suspended (Violation), and Driving Uninsured. Ernesto was additionally cited on a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court, No bail.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 21, 2021, at around 10:41 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black, 1994 Chrysler LHS, on Old River Road, near Milepost 7. The passenger, Peter Piazza, Sr., 37, had a warrant out of Sweet Home Municipal Court for Contempt of Court. Deputies issued Piazza a criminal citation for the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 21, 2021 at around 2:06 AM, deputies stopped a silver Mazda 6 sedan in the 600 block of NE Alexander Ave and discovered the driver, Jose Brambila, 29, had three active warrants for his arrest, in addition to having a suspended license and no insurance. He was subsequently arrested, cited and released on his warrants. Brambila was also issued traffic citations for driving while suspended and driving uninured.
POSS METH (LESS THAN 2 GRAMS) - On November 20, 2021, at 3:20 PM, deputies stopped a man on Philomath Boulevard near 53rd Street in Corvallis, after they observed him riding his bicycle on the wrong side of the road. The man thought he had a warrant for his arrest, so he decided to throw a glass Methamphetamine pipe into the ditch, hoping deputies wouldn`t see it; however, the man did not have any active warrants. Deputies warned him for the more serious D Violation, riding his bicycle on the wrong side of the roadway. The man was cited on the less serious E Violation, of Possession of Methamphetamine.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 20, 2021, at around 12:51 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Highway 99W Milepost 89. The driver crashed his 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 when he drove off of the roadway. The Dodge was towed from the scene. No injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 9:55 AM, deputies arrested ANDREA DORMAN, 36, on a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant at a gas station and minimart in the 1300 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis. She was issued a citation in lieu of custody for her warrant at the request of the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Friday, November 19, 2021 at 9:20 AM, a resident in the 3600 block of NW Highway 20 reported someone had vandalized his "BLACK LIVES MATTER" sign, likely during the night of Wednesday, November 17. The suspect(s) painted over "BLACK" and replaced it with "ALL," so the sign now reads "ALL LIVES MATTER." Vandalism to his signs has been an ongoing issue. There is no suspect information.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On November 18, 2021, deputies contacted two men near 53rd St at the railroad trestle. There were several males waiting for Community Outreach to meet them to fill propane tanks.
ANIMAL OTHER - On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at about 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of West Hills Road for a dog in custody. They spoke with the homeowner who stated a white pit bull mix dog had been running in his field causing his pregnant sheep to run to the barn. He stated pregnant sheep should not be running for health reasons. He also said he did not see the dog bite or injure the sheep. Deputies took custody of the dog and transported it to Heartland Humane Society where it was lodged.
LOST PROPERTY - On November 17, 2021, deputies spoke with a female regarding her lost her red, Olympus TG 6 "Tough" camera. She stated she lost the camera while working in a stream in the Lobster Camp portion of the county on November 9, 2021. She stated she reported the camera as lost in case someone turned in the camera valued at 400.00.
THEFT 2 - On Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at approximately 11:50 A.M., deputies called and spoke with a resident regarding a theft of his canoe that had been tied to the dock near his property in the 4500 block of Northwest Highway 20. He valued the canoe at 350.00 dollars, with a 5.00 dollar life jacket and 75.00 dollar paddle inside. He also said the canoe could have been dislodged by the water or a log. He said this happened within the last two to three weeks, but he had noticed it missing yesterday. He did not have suspects.
DUII - On Sunday November 14, 2021 at about 6:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to an erratic driver on Highway 99W near Coffin Butte Road traveling south. They stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver, JOHN EDWIN GILBERT, 42, of Monmouth, for D.U.I.I. He was taken to the Sheriff`s Office where he was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 14, 2021, around 1:00 AM, deputies were on patrol near the area of Highway 20, milepost 7, when they observed a female riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the roadway without a working headlamp. Deputies arrested Wendelynn Ann Stephens, 25, for cite and release warrants and released her with new court dates.
PROBATION VIOLATION - On November 13, 2021, at 3:56 PM, Johnathan Heath, 45, was arrested for consuming beer in a restaurant in Philomath. Heath is currently on probation out of Benton County. Heath was not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages as a condition of his probation. Heath had a beer in front of him, which was about a third of the way consumed. Deputies told Heath he was not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages while probation. Deputies advised Heath to leave and check in with his Probation Officer. Heath left immediately without question.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at approximately 3:48 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a man regarding a vehicle, which had ignored the red lights and stop sign on a school bus in the area of Soap Creek Road and Moss Rock Road. He was unable to positively identify the driver of the vehicle so a citation was not issued.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Wednesday October 20, 2021, at approximately 4:46 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24100 block of Maxfield Creek Road for report of a suspicious person. A resident reported a male had arrived at her door asking for a ride. He told deputies he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend and requested a ride. Deputies gave him a ride to Airlie Road and Highway 99W, where he was picked up by a friend.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at about 12:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Main Street, Monroe, to investigate a possible case of criminal mischief. Deputies spoke with the home owners, who said they heard a loud screeching sound outside their house the previous night between 7 and 8 pm. The next day they discovered their living room window had been broken.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 16, 2021, deputies located a Ford F-150, partially over the embankment on Highway 20 at MP 9 in Albany. The driver said that he had to make an avoiding maneuver to keep from hitting the vehicle in front of him. He stated the car in front of him had to brake rapidly for a deer that ran across the road. A tow company brought the vehicle back onto the roadway. No injuries and no damage.
DUII; DWS FEL - On Monday, November 15, 2021 at about 7:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near milepost #95 for several traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, WILLIAM WAYNE KARJALA, 41, of Eugene, was arrested for Driving While Revoked - (Felony) and D.U.I.I. He was transported to the Sheriff`s Office where he refused the breath test. He was later released to a sober friend.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 15, 2021, at around 12:34 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of SW Plymouth Dr. and Bellfountain Rd for a motor vehicle crash. Driver 1 reported he hydroplaned and drove his silver 2000 Lexus 400 into the ditch. No injuries and no damage. The driver arranged for a tow himself.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 14, 2021 at about 12:22 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Shops for a warrant service for Jeffery Tyler, 55. Tyler was cited and released on his confirmed warrant.
MISSING PERSON - On November 13, 2021, around 11:00 PM, deputies observed a Kia Rio driving without any working license plate lights. They initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver and learned he was a missing person out of Minnesota. Dispatch spoke to a Sergeant in Minnesota and confirmed he was reported missing, but no action needed to be taken if he was alive and well. The driver was in fact alive and well.
WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On November 12, 2021 at around 3:00 am, deputies contacted a male at Takena Landing in North Albany. The man told deputies his name was Mark Martin Swansen. Deputies determined this was a fictitious name and the man was detained. Deputies determined his real Identity, Tony Marvin Stephenson, 50, who had 3 warrants for his arrest. Stephensen was issued a citation in lieu of custody for his warrants and cited for providing false information to a peace officer.
DUII - On Tuesday November 9, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Barberry/Box Elder in Adair, for a report of a female who walked into someone’s residence. They arrested LINDSEY CLAIRE KELLER, 34, of Sutherlin, for D.U.I.I. and transported her to the Sheriff`s Office where she was cited and released to a friend.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On November 9, 2021 at about 5:32 am, deputies observed a vehicle parked in Hyak Park after hours. They learned the vehicle was associated with a Christopher Adam Huntting, 33. Huntting had a warrant for his arrest, FTA-Contempt of Court out of Linn County Circuit Court. Deputies knocked on the window and contacted a single occupant inside, who identified himself as Huntting. Deputies issued Huntting a new court date for his warrant.
HARASSMENT - On 10/30/2021 at approximately 11:22 pm, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 5000 block of NW HWY 99W. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Jennifer Camille, 39, for Harassment. Camille was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 27, 2021 at about 6:15 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 20 and NE Granger Ave for a possible injury traffic crash. Upon arrival they observed that there were two vehicles involved. The first vehicle was a Toyota Highlander. The second vehicle was a Volkswagen Jetta. Both drivers gave a similar account of what occurred as follows. Vehicle 1 was stopped on NE Granger Ave facing south attempting to enter traffic on Highway 20 and proceed eastbound. Vehicle 2 was traveling on Highway 20 westbound near the intersection of Highway 20 and NE Granger Ave. The driver of vehicle 1 stated that her view of vehicle 2 was obstructed by a vehicle turning from Highway 20 onto NE Granger Ave when she pulled out into traffic and was hit by vehicle 2, who was traveling on Highway 20 westbound. The driver of vehicle 1 appeared to be at fault for unsafely pulling into Highway 20 traffic.
BURGLARY 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; THEFT 3 - On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at approximately 6:23 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 30700 block of Bellfountain Road, Corvallis, for report of a Burglary which had occurred earlier that day. The resident reported that on Tuesday, October 9, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 AM and approximately 4:00 PM and Wednesday, October 10, 2021, someone forced open his garage door, damaging it, and stole numerous alcoholic beverages from his refrigerator. There are no suspects at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday November 11, 2021 at about 12:50 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle at the Hwy 34/Hwy 34 Bypass, in Corvallis, for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, TRISTEN JEFFREY FELDNER, 26, had two outstanding warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. FELDNER was issued citations on both warrants and released
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at approximately 9:47 am, MESTAS, Richard Lee, 50, of Scappoose, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail on an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at the Benton County Circuit Court. A valid warrant was confirmed as follows: FTA - Unlawful Possession of Meth. The warrant was served and the defendant was released after having signed a release agreement to appear at court.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On November 9, 2021, around 4:45 PM, deputies went to the area of 24600 Evergreen Road, Philomath, to tow an abandoned vehicle that had been previously tagged. The vehicle was a 1999 Chevy Blazer and was towed.
DWS MIS - On November 11, 2021 at around 2:14 AM, deputies made a traffic stop on a silver Audi AA6. The driver, Manuel Martinez, 23, was criminally suspended. He was subsequently taken into custody and issued a criminal citation to appear. He was additionally issued a traffic citation for Failing to carry proof of insurance.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, November 12, 2021, at approximately 5:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 34900 block of Wren Road, Philomath for report of a Trespass. The resident reported that his estranged significant other had returned to their residence after a domestic she had been arrested for the night before. He told deputies he did not want her at the residence any longer and requested deputies ask her to leave. Deputies confirmed with the Benton County Jail that there was a no contact release agreement in place, but it was unclear if it prohibited her from being at the residence or not. Deputies recommended to the woman she should collect some personal belongings and leave, which she did.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, November 12, 2021, at approximately 3:30 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 20 and Granger Avenue for report of a traffic crash. Unit 1 was attempting to turn left (east) onto Highway 20 in his 1999 Plymouth Voyager from Granger Avenue. He failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle driving west on Highway 20, which he said he did not see and pulled into the roadway. Unit 2 struck Unit 1 with her 2006 Mazda 3, causing damage to both vehicles. Unit 2 was towed from the scene and deputies provided her a courtesy shuttle to Subway in North Albany to wait for her ride.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED; COMPUTER CRIME - On Friday, November 12, 2021 at 8:25 AM, residents of the 30600 block of Oakview Drive reported they were the victims of a fraud. An accented male called them claiming to work for Amazon, telling them they had an outstanding balance which was overdue. The male was given remote access to their desktop computer and said he would deposit $30,000 that he wanted the residents to wire back to him. The money was never deposited and instead $30,000 was removed from their savings account and nearly wired to a male in Lima, Peru. Fortunately, the wire transfer was stopped in time by their bank and the money was recovered.
BURGLARY 1 - On November 12, 2021, at 1:47 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 30800 block of Decker Ridge Road in Corvallis for a Burglary. The resident said she went for a 25 minute walk at about 9:30 AM. She said while she was gone, an unknown suspect came into her unlocked home and took her wallet from her purse on the Kitchen table. Nothing else was missing from the home. She told deputies her wallet contained her Oregon Driver`s License, OSCU Debit Card, OSCU Check Book, and $40.00 Cash.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:11 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a Monroe City Employee regarding vandalism to a water intake pump house at Monroe City Park. Someone had spray-painted eleven small swastikas on the structure. There were no known suspects or motivation, but a group of juveniles have reportedly been frequenting the park in the evenings and smoking in the area of the pump house.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at approximately 8:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 2300 block of NW Sulphur Springs Road for report of a male trespassing in a backyard there. Deputies arrived to find a man, intoxicated, and believing he was at his mother`s house. Deputies transported him to the 26900 block of Sulphur Springs Road where he was released to his mother.
THEFT 3 SHOPLIFT - On November 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM, deputies responded to an Alsea store for a Shoplift on Monday, November 8, 2021, at around 7:20 PM, a white male in his 20`s, wearing a dark colored hat, black mask, black jacket, and blue jeans, pocketed a NEBO Tredline Blast RC flashlight, valued at $79.99. The male left with two other males in a Jeep pulling a flatbed trailer. There are no suspects at this time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, November 11, 2021 at about 6:23 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 and Garrett Lane, for a non-injury, motor vehicle crash. One driver was issued citations for no operator`s license and driving uninsured.
FALSE ALARM - On Thursday, November 11, 2021, around 5:10 A.M., deputies responded to the 2800 block of Garden Avenue for an alarm. They located the front door ajar and no one answered knocks or announcements. While searching the home, a resident came downstairs. She said they must have forgotten to secure the door. She thanked deputies and they left.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at approximately 1:37 AM, deputies located a grey 2012 Jeep Patriot abandoned near milepost 2 on Highway 20. The vehicle was parked with the driver side tires the fog line and the driver’s side mirror in the lane of travel. Deputies attempted to contact the registered owner with the only phone number they could find, but could not reach anyone. Due to the vehicle being a traffic hazard and blocking the bike lane, deputies called for a tow company to respond to tow the vehicle, which they did.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM; DUII - On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at about 5:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 26700 block of Monroe Cemetery Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle. They arrived and observed a silver 2013 Ram 1500, stuck in the front yard of the residence. Deputies later arrested the driver, Timothy Young Cook, 42, for DUII and Criminal Mischief II after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Cook was issued criminal citations and released to a sober friend.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 9, 2021, at around 1:29 pm, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury motor vehicle crash on Harris Rd Milepost 1. Driver 1 crashed a 2019 Hino 258 commercial vehicle when he became inattentive and drove off the roadway. The vehicle had minor damage and appeared to be drivable and did not meet the requirements for a crash report. A tow truck was requested by the driver’s supervisor to pull the truck from the ditch.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, November 8, 2021, at about 3:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person in the 27500 block of Llewellyn Road. They later spoke with a man who had become lost while taking a walk from his daughter`s house in the 27100 block of Greenberry Road. He did not want to return to his daughter’s house, but ultimately agreed to go. He was left in the care of his daughter.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 8, 2021 at about 5:45 am, deputies was parked on HWY 99W near Llewellyn Rd. They heard a northbound vehicle traveling at an excessive speed. As the vehicle passed, deputies observed brake lights before it lost control. The vehicle spun around and crashed into the east ditch. The driver admitted to speeding before hitting a slick spot on the highway. A tow company was dispatched to pull the vehicle from the ditch. The vehicle sustained minor cosmetic damages and was driven from the scene.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 7, 2021, around 11:00 PM, deputies were patrolling a parking lot in North Albany and discovered Albert Charles Prucha IV, 51, slouched over in his running vehicle. Deputies arrested Prucha for DUII, and Prucha provided a breath sample of 0.22%. Deputies released Prucha to a family member.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On November 4, 2021 at around 1:00 am, deputies spoke with a resident on the telephone who called to report he could not find his wallet. He also received a notice from his bank that two charges were made to his credit card for $44.98 each, which he did not make.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On October 30, 2021 at about 3:20 pm, deputies assisted the Philomath Police Department while they were tied up on a priority call in town. They responded to the 800 block of N. 12th Street and discovered two juveniles inside the burnt out residence. Parents of the juveniles were contacted and sent home.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 8, 2021 at around 1:51 am, deputies located Janae-Lynn Marie Anderson, 24, sitting in a car in a parking lot of the 300 block of Hickory St, Albany. Anderson had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. During a consent search of her vehicle, two methamphetamine pipes and one plastic bag with methamphetamine residue were located. Anderson was issued a citation in lieu of custody on her warrant and issued a citation for less than 2 grams of methamphetamine (Violation).
WARRANT ARREST - On November 8, 2021 at around 1:25 AM, deputies drove into an apartment complex located in the 300 block of Hickory St NW, Albany Oregon. In the parking lot they observed a male in his 20`s who they recognized from previous contacts, as Jose Torres, 22. Torres had an outstanding secret indictment warrant out of Benton County for manslaughter with additional charges attached to the warrant. Torres was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked.
DWS MIS - On November 8, 2021 at around 12:15 AM, deputies stopped a blue Chevy Suburban near NW HWY 20 and North Albany Rd for having no functional license plate light. The driver, Jason Coleman, 49, was driving with a suspended license. Additionally, he had no proof of insurance. Coleman was issued a citation in lieu of custody on his warrant and also cited for failing to carry proof of insurance and for operating a vehicle without required lighting.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 7, 2021 at around 1:35 am, deputies located Elizabeth Bowman, 38, at Takena Landing hiding behind a sub wall near the bathrooms. Bowman had a cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court and an additional warrant out of Benton County. She was cited and released for her warrants. During her arrest deputies located a syringe with heroin in her pocket. She was additionally cited for unlawful possession of heroin – violation.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 6, 2021, at around 1:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Dr, milepost 3 for a motor vehicle crash. Driver 1 was driving east on NW Springhill Dr in a gray 2006 Infiniti G35 when he crashed off the roadway. Wet and slippery roads due to a hailstorm were contributing factors to the crash. No apparent injuries. The Infiniti was towed from the scene.
THEFT 3 - On October 8, 2021, at least four individuals were present when a 24 inch by 18 inch Black Lives Matter sign was stolen from the 4300 block of NW Circle Blvd. The incident was not reported until November 4, 2021, when it was discovered. The surveillance video of the incident will be reviewed for investigative leads.
THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING - On November 4, 2021, deputies spoke with a resident in the 31400 block of Peterson Rd, Philomath, who told them the contents of a package was stolen from his front porch. Other tools were stolen from his property at the same time.
DUII - On October 31, 2021 at around 3:28 AM, deputies were driving to the Law Enforcement Center when they observed a wrong-way driver on Jackson Street approaching 4th. Deputies made a traffic stop on the vehicle and determined the driver, Cole Carter, 21, was under the influence of intoxicants and was subsequently arrested for DUII.
DUII - On October 24, 2021 at around 11:34 pm, deputies stopped a white ford focus that was failing to maintain lane at HWY 20 and Shrike Way. Deputies contacted the driver, Zack Wilson, 30, who they determined was too impaired to drive. He was subsequently arrested for DUII and transported to the Law Enforcement Center.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On October 19, 2021, at around 8:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 30800 block of Bellfountain Road for a trespass in progress. The caller reported seeing a male on his cameras that was not supposed to be there. His John Deere riding lawnmower was found in the ditch on Llewelyn and a red Craftsman riding lawnmower was reported stolen.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 11/7/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:25 AM, GILMORE, JUSTIN, 35, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT OUT OF CORVALLIS MUNI COURT FOR FTA DAMAGE PROPERTY, BAIL $5K. GILMORE WAS RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:57 PM, deputies arrested CASEY LANPHEAR, 33, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants as he was walking near SW 3rd Street and SW Twin Oaks Circle in Corvallis. LANPHEAR tried to use his brother‘s identity and claimed he took Fentanyl pills when he saw them. LANPHEAR was evaluated at the scene by medics and transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was medically cleared. LANPHEAR was booked and lodged on his warrants at the Benton County Jail
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1:05 PM, deputies went to the 800 block of NW Oak Avenue in Corvallis to speak with a male named NATHAN WILHOIT, 22, regarding a previous investigation. During the contact with WILHOIT, deputies learned he and another resident of the apartment named NOAH BURKE, 21, both had outstanding warrants for their arrest. WILHOIT was cited and released on his confirmed misdemeanor warrant. BURKE was arrested for his confirmed felony and misdemeanor warrants and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked, before being subsequently released due to overcrowding
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 4, 2021 at around 10:11 PM, deputies were dispatched to a cold trespass that occurred in the 800 block of Aldrich Way, Monroe. A man reported a woman came to his house yelling that the man’s adult son owed her money. After telling her to leave, she left the property. The man wanted her trespassed so she wouldn`t return. Deputies contacted the woman and notified her that she was trespassed and not to return.
WILDLIFE OFFENSE - On Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 6:07 p.m., deputies responded to the 25000 block of Cherry Creek Rd, Monroe, for a possible game violation. The reporting party saw two male subjects shoot a deer, quickly load it into their pickup, and speed away. This was on Cherry Creek Rd in front of the residence. Unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On November 4, 2021, at 4:15 PM, deputies spoke to a driver after she called 911 and flagged deputies down. She said she was at a court hearing in Albany and thought a red, 2002 Subaru Impreza was following her from the hearing. She said the Subaru turned off and went westbound on Buchanan Avenue after she got behind deputies. The Subaru was not currently registered and shows sold. Albany Police Department stopped a man associated with the vehicle back on October 2, 2021. He lives in Corvallis and was most likely traveling home from Albany, based on the location he lives.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 11/04/21, ALLEN, Winston, 42, was being released from Benton Co Jail when they learned he had a Philomath Municipal warrant for FTA DUII. Allen was issued a new court date.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On Thursday, November 4, 2021 at about 12:57 pm, deputies observed a U-Haul van parked in the gravel lot of the Benton County Fair Grounds. Cory Watkins, 28, was issued a citation for a warrant out of Benton County.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 3, 2021, driver 1 Linn was south on Hwy 99W near NW Arboretum Road when she struck a deer with her 2014 Mazda MZ3. Deputies removed the deer from the roadway and photographed the damage to her vehicle. She drove the vehicle from the scene.
THEFT 1; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 2, 2021, around 6:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone about the theft of a utility trailer that occurred early in the morning that day. They described the trailer as an 8 foot by 15 foot Aztek utility trailer with a steel frame and wooden deck. They estimated the value of the trailer to be $2,000. There is no suspect information at this time.
THEFT OF SERVICES; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 2, 2021, around 6:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Golf View and 45th Street, Corvallis, for a reported theft of services. The caller reported a male was golfing in the golf course and had not paid. He said he saw the male golfing, and when he confronted the male the male agreed to leave without incident. He said the male was driving a beat up Honda Pilot, with a tarp or plastic covering the window. He said it was not the first tome the male had done this and was seen at the golf course earlier in October. Deputies advised the caller to call into dispatch if the male returns and have him arrested for trespass.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER – On November 2, 2021, around 4:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a woman by phone about a hit and run, which occurred earlier in the day. She reported a white utility truck scraped the side of her vehicle while she was waiting in the pickup line at Oak Grove Elementary. She was not able to see a license plate number, or a company logo on the vehicle.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 11/02/2021 at 4:22 pm, Keim, Nicholas, 32, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail on a warrant for Aggravated Theft I, which was confirmed. Keim was released with a new court date and time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 3, 2021, driver 1 was south on Hwy 99W near NW Arboretum Road when she struck a deer with her 2014 Mazda MZ3. Deputies removed the deer from the roadway and photographed the damage to her vehicle. She drove the vehicle from the scene
DUII DRUGS; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at about 6:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Marys Peak Road near milepost 1. Deputies later arrested the driver, Brenden Uriah Harding, 18, for DUII. Harding was cited and released. Harding`s vehicle was towed from the scene by a relative.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On November 2, 2021, at around 3:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a cold call involving suspicious circumstances on Finley Refuge Road. A woman reported she was parked at a wayside along Finley Road on October 31 at around 4:30 pm while she hiked. After returning to her vehicle she discovered a missing rear light. She did not know when she lost the light, but she remembered a white over gray older model Subaru station wagon being parked at the wayside when she initially arrived. No current suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 2, 2021, deputies responded to a two-vehicle non-injury crash on NE Highway 20 near NE Asbahr Ave. A white Ford F-150 rear-ended a black Prius. Both vehicles were towed due to damage.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On November 2, 2021, deputies responded to Crescent Valley High School for a report of students setting off fireworks inside and outside buildings. One male juvenile was transported to juvenile detention for his role in the incident.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at approximately 2:15 P.M., deputies arrived on Hyslop Road near Granger Avenue for a reported abandoned vehicle. Deputies had previously checked on this vehicle on October 31, 2021. The vehicle has not moved since this time. Deputies tagged the vehicle as abandoned. The vehicle is a 2004, Silver Kia Spectra.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On November 1, 2021 @ approximately 8:20 am, RAIN, Laila, 56, turned herself in on possible warrants. Rain had 24 FTA warrants, one being FTA Aggravated Harassment Warrant. Rain was brought into the jail so she could appear in court from the jail.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING – On October 30, 2021, deputies stopped Aimee FERNANDEZ, 22, for Failure to Drive Within Lane, Improper Right Turn, and suspicion of DUII. Deputies could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from FERNANDEZ`s vehicle. FERNANDEZ had bloodshot, watery eyes and had slurred speech. FERNANDEZ admitted to drinking one hard cider. FERNANDEZ consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested Aimee FERNANDEZ for DUII and transported her to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office where she provided physical cooperation providing a breath test. FERNANDEZ was released to a friend.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE - On Friday, October 29, 2021 at 7:12 AM, deputies responded to the 25700 block of Cherry Creek Road in Monroe for a physical domestic. DAWSON EDWARDS-KING, 25, was arrested after he pushed a juvenile for using his cell phone to record EDWARDS-KING. EDWARDS-KING was cited for Harassment.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION; COMPUTER CRIME - On Monday, October 25, 2021 at 9:43 AM, a resident in the 31700 block of Horse Farm Lane in Philomath reported his computer had been "HACKED" and he provided his bank account information to an individual claiming to be with "NORTON ANTI-VIRUS LIFELOCK." The individual deposited $4,000 into his account, which he wanted him to withdraw and return via gift cards. The money was removed before this could occur, but he noticed he was now missing approximately $1,000 of his own money from fraudulent transactions between his bank accounts and credit card. His financial institution was working with him to establish new accounts and refund the money.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 11, 2021, at around 4:30 pm, deputies attempted to serve a warrant in the 3400 block of NE Oxford Circle. A resident, Gabrielle Bernhardt, 25, was later transported to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office, where she was issued criminal citations for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 2, and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at about 10:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud in the 29100 block of Carey-Fox Road near Alsea. Deputies spoke with a resident who stated an unknown person called him and attempted to have him put spyware on his computer. He informed he use to work in IT and knew it was a fraud attempt. He said he wished to make a formal report but knew the person "most likely lived in India based on his voice". He stated he was not out any money but wanted the Sheriff`s Office to be aware of the attempt.
THEFT 3 - On Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at about 10:24 am, deputies were dispatched to the Alsea Mercantile for the report of a theft. Alsea Mercantile staff reported a juvenile male stole two energy drinks from their store. The male was known to attend Alsea School. A civil compromise was reached by all parties involved.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, November 2nd, 2021 at about 12:15 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on the Highway 34 Bypass near Highway 34 for a traffic violation. The driver, SHAWN RICE, 42, had an outstanding Felony Warrant out Deschutes County. RICE was cited and released in the field.
THEFT 2 BICYCLE; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:31 AM, deputies arrested STANLEY POMAIKAI, 39, for an outstanding felony warrant in the woods along the railroad tracks south of Home Depot at 1780 NE Four Acre Place in Corvallis. POMAIKAI was also in possession of a stolen Trek mountain bike shortly before his arrest, which was recovered and later released to OSU Public Safety. POMAIKAI was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail where he was also charged with Theft II.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On October 18, 2021, around 3:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Commercial Street, Monroe, for a possible hit and run. The caller reported his neighbor had packed his pickup up and drove into his fence, bending one of the poles.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On October 3, 2021, deputies responded to a motor-vehicle crash with no injuries in the 2400 block of NE Garden Avenue. Deputies cited the driver for Driving while Suspended and Driving Uninsured. She admitted fault for the crash.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 1, 2021, at around 3:00pm, deputies contacted Thomas O`Hearn, 41, of Dallas, who was sitting inside a gray 2006 Ford Crown Victoria near NE Walnut Blvd and Highway 99W. Deputies later issued O`Hearn a criminal citation for Dallas Municipal Court warrant for Failure to Appear-Failure to Return a Suspended Driver’s License, and a citation for Driving Uninsured.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 11/1/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:40 PM, MACK, LONNIE, 46, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET ON A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA AGG THEFT 1, BURG 2, BAIL $10K. DEPUTIES RELEASED MACK WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Monday, November 1, 2021 at 7:00 am, Jameson Honeyman, 36, turned himself into the Benton County Jail. Honeyman had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County for DCS Heroin. Honeyman was booked and remained in custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 31, 2021, around 7:45 P.M., deputies arrested Teddy Johnston, 34, on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Criminal Mischief II and Interfering. Johnston was issued a criminal citation for the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/28/21, SMITH, Edgar Neil, 65, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail for a Benton Co FTA warrant. Deputies issued Smith a new court date.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, October 23, 2021, at about 12:55 am, a white 2020 Jeep crashed into a utility pole on Highway 99 W about 0.5 miles north of NE Granger Avenue. The utility pole was knocked down and live power lines dropped onto the roadway. The driver of the Jeep fled the scene of the crash before emergency personnel arrived. The Jeep was later reported stolen from the 5000 block of NW Highway 99W. The power lines were rendered safe by Pacific Power, the highway was reopened for traffic, and the Jeep was towed.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/20/21, TYLER, Zachary, 42, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a confirmed Benton Circuit warrant. Tyler was issued a new court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/12/2021, DORMAN, CURTIS WILLIAM, 18, REPORTED TO THE FRONT DOOR OF THE JAIL FOR A WARRANT FOR FTA-DISORDERLY CONDUCT II. DORMAN WAS RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 7:54 PM, a possible theft in progress was dispatched at the Benton County Fairgrounds at 110 SW 53rd Street in Corvallis. A security guard who was contracted to provide security for a Covid-19 immunization event reported there were subjects possibly stealing Christmas decorations from a building at that location. Deputies determined the individuals were juveniles with a supervised 4-H group who had permission to be at the fairgrounds. One of the juveniles, who was stopped leaving the area in his vehicle, consented to a search and was found to not have any Christmas decorations in his possession.
DWS MIS - On October 31, 2021, at 2:54 PM, deputies stopped Charles Shirai, 51, on 3rd Street near Cummings Avenue in Corvallis. Shirai was cited for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
THEFT 1 - On October 31, 2021, at 11:45 AM, deputies spoke to a female in regards to a Fraud compliant. She reported she sent a cashier`s check for $1700, to an address in Minneapolis. She said the check was for releasing a care package from Turkish Customs, for a military family stuck overseas. She said she received another request for $13,000, and was told she would be arrested if she did not send it. Deputies advised her she would not be arrested and to not send any more money because it was a scam.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 8:45 AM, deputies contacted a male sitting in the passenger seat of a black Acura RSX coupe parked in the lot of the Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis. They arrested JAMES KELLY, 32, of Newport, on multiple outstanding warrants after they determined he had used the name of his twin brother. KELLY was transported to Ellmaker State Park where he was transferred to the custody of the Lincoln County Sheriff`s Office to be booked and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 30, 2021 at around 11:00 pm, deputies made a traffic stop on a dark-colored Chevy Malibu at the entrance of Takena Landing. A male passenger in the vehicle was identified as Andrew Steven Roth, 30, of Eugene, who had a cite and release warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Criminal Mischief II. Roth was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released on his warrant with a new court date to appear.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On October 31, 2021 at about 10:00 pm, a driver reported an unknown subject shined a green laser into her eyes while she driving westbound on HWY 20 near Lilly Hill. She did not see the suspect but believed they were in the tree line on the south side of HWY 20 near the large gravel pull out. No suspicious people or vehicles were encountered during the deputy’s patrol of the area.
WARRANT ARREST – On 10/30/2021 at approximately 1014 pm, deputies contacted an adult female outside the Sheriff`s Office on Jackson Street. The female identified herself as Barbara Anderson, 67. Anderson had an active warrant for DUII. Deputies issued Anderson a citation in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 9:37 AM, deputies arrested BRITTAIN DONALDSON, 31, in a parking lot in the 1800 block NW 9th Street in Corvallis, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. DONALDSON was booked at the Benton County Jail and subsequently released due to overcrowding.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 30, 2021 at about 5:50 am, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Rd south of Chapel for a single vehicle vs deer. The driver was southbound on Bellfountain when he struck a deer crossing the road in front of him. He requested a salvage tag for the deer and arranged for his own tow company, as the truck was inoperable.
MISSING PERSON - On Friday, October 29, 2021, at about 6:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible missing person off South Fork Road near the Alsea Falls Campground. On BLM 14-7-36, near South Fork Road, deputies spoke with a man who reported his 80-year-old wife had become lost while the two of them were hunting for mushrooms in the woods. Benton County Search and Rescue was notified and they have initiated a search of the area. She was located the following morning, uninjured.
LITTERING - On October 29, 2021, at 10:43 AM, an employee of a private forest called to report an unknown person dumped some trash in timber property off of Maxfield Creek Road in Benton County. Deputies provided him with a case number.
DWS MIS; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On October 28, 2021 at around 9:10 pm, deputies saw a pick-up truck that was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Tampico Road near milepost 1. They saw a recorded speed of 70 mph for the truck on the radar unit in their patrol car. Deputies turned to follow the pickup and was able to make a traffic stop on Tampico Road and Berry Creek Road at the Benton/Polk County Line. The driver identified himself as Troy Averill, 51, and he had misdemeanor suspended driving status through DMV. He also had a warrant for his arrest out of Philomath. His passenger was identified as Keith Szlavich, 53, and he had a misdemeanor warrant out of Linn County. Both were issued citations and were released.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; POSS HEROIN (FELONY); DUII; FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; POSS OXYCODONE (FELONY) - On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at about 12:45 am, deputies saw a dark gray Chevy Tahoe traveling south on Highway 99 W. The Tahoe repeatedly crossed the fog line on the west side of the highway near NW Elks Drive. Deputies stopped the vehicle and later arrested the driver, Nathan Joel Kelly, 45, of Dallas, for DUII, felony unlawful possession of heroin, felony unlawful possession of oxycodone, and possession of a weapon by a felon. Kelly was transported to the Benton County Jail and released by jail staff after they received a No File letter from the Benton County District Attorney`s Office.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT; WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at approximately 2:20 P.M., deputies went to the area of West Hills Road and Reservoir Road, to assist Philomath Police with a Violation of a Release Agreement. They arrested Dustin Whinnery, 34, for violating a release agreement after he sent text messages to the victim. Deputies transported Whinnery to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged for the violation. They also cited and released Whinnery for confirmed warrants from Albany Municipal Court and Philomath Municipal Court.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at approximately 11:40 A.M., deputies went to the 2500 block of Newton Street to attempt to serve a subpoena. A male answered the door who identified himself as James Royce Lillard, 32. Deputies saw Lillard was the person whom the case was against on the subpoena. Deputies confirmed a valid No Contact Release Agreement existed, preventing him from being at the residence. Deputies arrested Lillard for the violation, and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:32 PM, deputies stopped a white Cadillac Escalade SUV driven by TONIE ATHILL, 33, near SW 53rd Street and SW Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis. Deputies had existing probable cause from a previous matter to arrest ATHILL for violating a restraining order. ATHILL also had multiple unrelated misdemeanor warrants for arrest. ATHILL was cited for her outstanding warrants after being booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail on the charge of Violation of a Restraining Order (x2).
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - October 24, 2021 at about 3:38 am, deputies observed a Dodge Ram 2500 parked in the middle of the old section of Reservoir Ave facing north. The vehicle had been involved in a crash and was unoccupied. An investigation at the scene showed the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Reservoir Ave when it failed to negotiate a left hand curve. The vehicle entered the right (east) ditch were it continued alongside of Reservoir for about 100 yards. The vehicle struck a culvert headwall at old Reservoir Ave, coming to rest on the road. The vehicle was towed due to it being a traffic hazard. Deputies contacted the owner later that evening and he stated he swerved to avoid a deer.
DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On October 23, 2021, deputies attempted to stop Chad Anderson, 27, of Hillsboro, for traveling 63 mph in a 30 mph zone. Mr. Anderson refused to stop for lights and siren, was driving recklessly prior to and during the attempt to elude, the road conditions and at least 15 cars had to pull to the side of the road to avoid Mr. Anderson`s driving. Mr. Anderson finally stopped and was taken into custody for: DUII controlled substance, Reckless Driving, Attempt to Elude, an outstanding warrant out of Hillsboro and several other moving violations. Mr. Anderson was cited and later released.
DUII - On October 23, 2021 at around 1:52 AM, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch near NW Independence and NW Metge Ave. Deputies located a black-colored Subaru WRX in the ditch on the west side of the roadway facing north. Deputies determined the driver of the vehicle, Ivan Rodriguez, 26, was under the influence of intoxicants and was subsequently arrested for DUII. He was transported to the Law Enforcement Center where he provided two breath samples. He was issued a citation and released to a sober friend.
THEFT 3; PERSON < 21 POSSESSING / CONSUMING MARIJUANA - On October 22, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Alsea School. Marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia were located in a purse in the locker room after the Homecoming Dance. The minor reported that her AirPod protective case, a panda coin purse containing $2 in change, and $25 cash was missing from her purse.
DUII - On Friday, October 23, 2021, at about 10:45 pm, deputies stopped Thomas James Navin, 22, for failure to obey a one-way designation. They later arrested Navin for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Navin was cited and released to a sober friend at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 22, 2021 at around 9:44 am, deputies were dispatched to the 26600 block of Gwillim Lane for suspicious circumstances. The caller reported Robert Bryant, 34, had been missing. Deputies learned the man missing had two warrants for his arrest. Deputies later located him asleep on a trampoline on the property. Bryant was cited and released for two warrants, and additionally issued a citation for being in possession of less than 2 grams of methamphetamine.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On October 20, 2021, Vehicle #1 was driving north on Highway 99W and did not stop for vehicle #2, which was slowing for traffic stopped at the red light at the intersection of Highway 99W and Lewisburg Ave. Vehicle #1 rear ended Vehicle #2 causing minor damage to both vehicles. Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene and there were no injuries and no citations issued.
DUII - On October 16, 2021 at around 2:40AM, deputies observed a vehicle in the wrong lane of travel, stopped at the light at 15th Street and Monroe Ave in Corvallis. Deputies stopped the vehicle and determined the driver, Julian Garcia, 24, of Keizer, was under the influence of intoxicants. He was taken into custody and transported to the Law Enforcement Building where he provided a breath sample.
IMPROPER USE OF 911; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE – On 10/06/2021 at approximately 1:28 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Philomath Blvd in Corvallis. The driver of the vehicle was identifed as Charles McGinty, 28, of Gladstone. McGinty refused to identify himself and called 911 during the traffic stop. McGinty was arrested for Failure to Carry and Present an Operator`s License and Improper Use of 911. McGinty was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On October 25, 2021, at around 9:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2510 block of Webster Ave, for a report of theft and criminal mischief. The resident reported the previous night, an unknown person(s) stole two cans of soup she was using to prop up the hood on her 2006 Toyota Prius. The theft went unnoticed and as she was driving, the Prius’ hood flew up and destroyed the windshield. The windshield is valued at around $500. No current suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 24, 2021, at around 2:03pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on NW Springhill Dr, near Milepost 3. Vehicle 1 was traveling west in a 2007 Pontiac G6, drove off the roadway and crashed into a power pole. Vehicle 2, also driving west, in a 2008 Volkswagon Passat, crashed into debris and drove off of the roadway. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. The driver of vehicle 1 was issue citations for Careless Driving and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Friday, October 22, 2021 at 8:05 AM, deputies arrested TONIE ATHILL, 33, for the Violation of a Restraining Order (Contempt).
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 3:21 PM, deputies contacted and arrested JACOB MYERS, 26, for multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants on SW Deon Drive near SW Western Boulevard in Corvallis. MYERS, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of a spring-assisted folding knife. MYERS was cited and released on his warrants at the direction of the Benton County Jail. MYERS was also issued a criminal citation for the crime of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; ESCAPE 3; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; WARRANT ARREST; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; ELUDE FOOT - On Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 9:12 AM, deputies saw JORDAN DEAVILA, 18, who had an outstanding felony warrant, in the driver`s seat of a red hatchback parked on the street in front of the 2000 block of NW Garfield Avenue in Corvallis. DEAVILA eluded when they attempted to stop him, eventually damaging and abandoning the vehicle as he fled on foot. DEAVILA`S car was towed after a K9 track failed to locate him. Later that morning, deputies saw DEAVILA run from the video poker lounge at the former Izzy`s Pizza and chased him on foot. DEAVILA was apprehended nearby. DEAVILA was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked on his warrant and charged with Elude - Vehicle, Elude - Foot, Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering, Criminal Trespass I, Criminal Trespass II, Escape III, and Interfering with a Peace Officer
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/17/2021 at approximately 9:18 pm, deputies responded to a disturbance in Monroe. Subsequent investigation determined there was no crime or argument. Malik Crowell, 19, was located during the course of the investigation. Crowell was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant. Crowell was issued a citation in lieu of custody for failure to appear on assault III charges.
UNLAWFUL MANU OF MARIJUANA ITEM (> 12 PLANTS); CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY C FEL; DELIVER MARIJUANA PRODUCT; POSS MARIJ OVER 21 (CFEL) - On September 7, 2021, deputies began investigating illegal indoor marijuana grows located in the 6100 block of Springhill Drive and 39200 block of Jeffrey Road. On October 14, 2021, BCSO served search warrants at both locations and arrested: KWOK SUI NG, 53; HAIMING ZHAN, 51; MIN DUT LEE, 63; and MAN FIUE F YAN, 63. All four were cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 23, 2021, at 3:10 PM, deputies stopped James McComas, 31, of Eugene, on 5th Street near Depot Street in Monroe for no front license plate. McComas was driving while suspended and driving uninsured. McComas was cited into Monroe Municipal Court for the traffic violations. McComas was arrested on 2 Felony Lane County Warrants and transported to the Lane County Jail. McComas was additionally cited on a Clatstop Misdemeanor Warrant.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Friday, October 22, 2021, at about 5:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible no-contact order violation in the 24200 block of Old Peak Road. Deputies later arrested Charles Harold Mellick, 31, for violating a no-contact order.
COMPUTER CRIME - On Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:40 PM, a resident of the 1000 block of NW Alder Creek Drive in Corvallis reported suspicious activity involving a vehicle he listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. An unknown male suspect sent him a total of $8,000 via wire transfer which ended up being stolen from a victim in New Zealand. His bank was able to facilitate the return of the funds from his account to the victim.
SEARCH AND RESCUE - On October 21, 2021 at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies responded to the Dunn Forest 100 Gate to assist in a search for a missing person. A Salem resident called a friend stating he was lost and unable to find his way back to the gate, where he was parked. The missing person was able to send a GPS location to his friend. Deputies drove and hiked to the area of the GPS location and located the man on the 78V road approximately 3/4 mile past the end of the 150 road. He was cold and wet, but was able to walk with deputies back to their patrol vehicle.
ASSAULT 4; RESISTING ARREST; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Thursday, October 21, 2021, at about 6:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 26000 block of Llewellyn Road. They later arrested Mitchell Eugene Pyron, 23, for Assault IV, Disorderly Conduct II, and Resisting Arrest. Pyron was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 21, 2021, deputies arrested TYLER THORN HOSKINSON, 25, on two confirmed Linn County warrants after a traffic stop on 15th Street near E Avenue.
THEFT 2 SHOPLIFT - On October 20, 2021, two white male adults stole two NEBO brand emergency light kits from the Alsea Mercantile. The emergency light kits were valued at 119.99 each.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 16, 2021, deputies responded to a crash in the 6900 block of Oak Creek Drive. The driver was traveling west bound on Oak Creek. She fell asleep while driving, left the roadway, hit a guy wire, a sign and then struck a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The parked vehicle struck another vehicle that was parked next to it. She was not injured.
POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:43 PM, deputies stopped and arrested DUSTY RISLAND, 33, for a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant while he was walking in the area of SE Debord Street and SE Alexander Avenue in Corvallis. RISLAND was also found to be in possession of over five grams of Methamphetamine. RISLAND was cited and released on his warrant at the direction of the Benton County Jail. RISLAND was also issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for the crime of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor).
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On October 1, 2021 at about 4:35 pm, deputies responded to the 21400 block of Hwy 20, Blodgett. Dustin Whinnery, 24, was violating a No Contact Order
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On October 19, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near MP 8 for a traffic hazard. A brown, 1995 Subaru was parked with the driver side tires on the fog line. Deputies called the available number for the registered owner and the call was answered with “the number you dialed is not in service.” The car was towed from the roadway.
THEFT 2 - On October 19, 2021, a resident reported a check was stolen from his mail and cashed. No suspects at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 10/19/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:45 AM, JAYDEN RENEE HARRINGTON, 22, OF BEEBE, AR, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE JAIL ON A WARRANT FOR FTA ASSAULT IV, BAIL $50k. HARRINGTON WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 19, 2021, Vehicle #1 was driving east on Highway 20 near Milepost 5. Vehicle #2 was pulling out of a driveway and turning west onto Highway 20. Vehicle #1 did not see vehicle #2 and did not slow down. Vehicle #1 attempted to avoid colliding with Vehicle #1, but collided with the rear trailer of Vehicle #1, then drove off the road, colliding with a wooden utility pole on the east side of the highway. The driver of vehicle #1 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene.
FOUND PROPERTY - On October 18, 2021, deputies were outside the Sheriff`s Office when a transient female handed me them a wallet. The female declined to identify herself and told deputies the wallet was found in an alley. There was an OR identification card and various other store cards. The wallet was placed into evidence as found property.
THEFT 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On October 18, 2021, deputies responded to the Waldorf School for a reported theft of a utility trailer and damage to a vehicle. A black 8x10 utility trailer was stolen and the license plate left behind and a white Chevy pickup had two windows broken out
WARRANT ARREST - ON 10/13/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30 PM, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING RELEASE FILES FOR JOHNATHAN SMITH, 31, AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF ALBANY MUNI COURT FOR FTA POSS RESTRICTED WEAPON. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON SMITH PRIOR TO HIS RELEASE.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/14/21, Perreard, Darren D, 51, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on an FTA Theft II warrant out of Benton Co Circuit court. Deputies issued him a new court date.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On October 14, 2021, deputies were dispatched to SW 53rd and Reservoir Road for a non-injury traffic crash. A white Chevy truck had stopped for the traffic light on Reservoir Road. When a large semi-truck and trailer turned from SW 53rd onto Reservoir Road, the Chevy truck backed up to give the semi more room to make the wide turn. In the process of backing up, the Chevy backed into a Tesla that was also in the turn lane.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10-13-21, Hickman, James, 59, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co warrant for FTA fail to report. Deputies issued him a new court date.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On October 2, 2021 at about 10:24 am, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run where Adrian Perez, 29, drove off the road headed southbound toward Corvallis from Albany. After the Perez left the roadway, he struck a power pole, sheering it off at the bottom.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/01/21, Sandoval, Michael, 66, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail for a FTA warrant. Sandoval was issued a new court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT- On September 30, 2021, Jose Perez, 32, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant. A new court date and time was issued in lieu of custody.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS - On October 17, 2021 at about 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to Ireland Way off of Highway 34 for a reported reckless driver. They arrived and arrested Donald Spencer Ray Hendershot Jr, 48, for DUII, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering and DWS-Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 4:20 PM, deputies stopped a maroon Honda Accord for a traffic violation on Harrison Boulevard near 5th Street in Corvallis. They cited the driver for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and cited and released the passenger, ELIJAH WILLIAMS, 38, for a confirmed misdemeanor warrant which he had for his arrest.
DWS MIS - On October 16, 2021, at around 3:00 pm, deputies observed a 2006 Cadillac STS parked along Coffin Butte Rd, near Highway 99W. The driver, identified as Enrique Resendiz-Ramirez, 32, of Salem, was later arrested and issued a criminal citation for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor and citations for Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device and Driving Uninsured.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:03 PM, deputies stopped a silver Hyundai Elantra sedan on Alpine Road near Alpine Cutoff Road for a traffic violation. They cited and released the driver, RUEBEN GARIBAY, 26, of Salem, for the crime of Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and multiple confirmed misdemeanor warrants. GARIBAY was also cited for Driving Uninsured. GARIBAY`S passenger had a valid driver’s license and was allowed to drive the vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 15, 2021, a car struck a Pacific Power utility truck from behind as it braked on Highway 20 at Garden Avenue.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Friday, October 15, 2021, at about 8:21 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Crescent Valley High School for a reported intoxicated male sitting on the fog line of the road. Deputies located a male on Highland Dr. adjacent to the active football game. A Corvallis PD Officer provided him with a courtesy ride to St Mary`s Church in Corvallis.
DWS MIS - On October 15, 2021, at 11:52 AM, deputies stopped Alexander Nykoma Pfliger-Youngbird, 25, of Bend, on Main Street near 7th Street in Monroe for no front license plate. Pfliger-Youngbird was cited for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 15, 2021 at around 3:06 AM, deputies were dispatched to assist Linn County Sheriff`s Office with a theft in the 33500 block after a farmer located two transients on his property stealing hemp. They located one of the individuals identified as Oren Hounchell, 41, who had four warrants and was in possession of less than two grams of methamphetamine. The farmer did not wish to press charges but wanted the man trespassed from his property. Hounchell was issued citations in lieu of custody for his warrants and for the methamphetamine. Hounchell was trespassed from the property.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 14, 2021, at about 1:27 p.m., a male was trespassing in the 1500 block of SW Allen, Corvallis. Deputies warned him about cutting through the property.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On October 14, 2021, deputies spoke with a resident about suspicious people and vehicle near his home. He advised he would be putting up gates and security cameras.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at about 11:15 pm, deputies saw a red 2009 Toyota Corolla traveling south on Highway 99, near milepost 94, at 71 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. They later arrested the driver, Sam Waheed Bonifas, 41, of Eugene, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at about 1:30 pm, deputies were contacted by a business, whom received information a vehicle went off the roadway, on their property. Deputies contacted two males attempting to get the vehicle back on the roadway using a block and tackle, and another vehicle. Both males were cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
THEFT 1 - On October 13, 2021, the facilities manager at the Suburban Christian Church reported the theft of a catalytic converter from the church’s motorhome. The theft was initially discovered the week prior.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 3:51 PM, deputies stopped a green Ford Aerostar minivan on Circle Boulevard near Belvue Street in Corvallis after recognizing the driver, RANDALL SNYDER, 68, who had suspended driving privileges and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. SNYDER was cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and cited and released with a court date on his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 1:59 PM, deputies stopped and arrested MICHAEL ELGIN, 30, for multiple outstanding confirmed felony and misdemeanor warrants as he was walking on the railroad tracks near NW Buchanan Avenue and NW 5th Street in Corvallis. ELGIN was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants. ELGIN was also warned for committing the crime of Trespass I.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 12:21 PM, a resident in the 24400 block of Settlers Lane reported they had been receiving threatening phone calls from a female. The resident was advised to block the phone numbers the calls originated from and inform their attorney of the conduct to see if it violated the conditions of an order they have.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 8:49 AM, deputies were dispatched to Priest Road and Highway 20 for a suspicious vehicle. A Jeep Wrangler had been parked overnight at a gate near that location. They SUV experienced electrical issues, which led to the driver breaking down and having to spend the night in his vehicle. Passersby stopped and gave him a jump.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 11, 2021 at around 12:40 AM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white, 2006, Chrysler 300, operated by Jason Haynes, 37. Haynes had a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear on a felon in possession of a restricted weapon charge out of Marion County Circuit Court. Haynes was additionally suspended violation, and was unable to provide proof of insurance. Haynes was issued citations for the violations and issued a citation in lieu of custody for his warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at approximately 4:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of West Hills Road and Wyatt Lane for report of a single vehicle crash. They arrived and found a female had crashed her 2004 Toyota Camry while negotiating a curve, causing moderate damage to her vehicle. Her vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 8, 2021 at around 2:43 AM, deputies responded to the area of HWY 20 and Scenic for a traffic crash. The caller reported he fell asleep at the wheel and went off the roadway. Deputies arrived on scene and had the vehicle towed. The vehicle damaged a pasture fence; deputies assisted the home owners with repairing the fence so cows did not escape.
HINDER PROSECUTION; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:38 PM, deputies stopped a spray-painted black Dodge Caravan (minivan) for multiple traffic violations on Walnut Boulevard near 9th Street in Corvallis. The passenger, TAYLOR HARLOW, 22, switched places with the male driver before the vehicle fully came to a stop. Deputies ultimately arrested HARLOW for Hindering Prosecution after they determined she harbored, concealed, assisted, and lied for the original driver, JUSTIN HILL, 34, who had multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. HILL was also arrested after deputies found him hiding in the back of the minivan under a blanket. HARLOW was cited and released for her crime and HILL was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 23, 2021 at about 1:31 pm, deputies responded to Hwy 20 and Granger Road for a crash. A red Subaru Outback pulled out in front of a grey Hyundai Elantra. There were no injuries reported and both vehicles were towed.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 13, 2021, deputies responded to the 25700 block of Cherry Creek Road in Monroe for a report of a disturbance. No crimes were committed, but DAWSON JAMES EDWARDS-KING, 25, had a confirmed outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Benton County for FTA Criminal Mischief II. Deputies issued him a citation in lieu of custody for the warrant.
DOG AS PUBLIC NUISANCE - On October 12, 2021, at around 8:07 am, deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of NE Vandenberg Ave for a reported dog complaint. The resident reported a dog ran up to her leashed dog and attacked it, causing two wounds to its throat. She reported the dog owner has been warned several times about walking his unleashed dog on ODFW property.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Thursday, October 7, 2021, at about 4:15 pm, deputies were contacted by a school bus driver. She told deputies a blue Ford pickup truck, had driven though her bus’s stop sign while she was driving her drop-off route on Bellfountain Road near Water Lane at about 3:30 pm. Deputies later identified and arrested the driver of the truck, Jesus Alonso Cruz Meza, 30, for reckless driving. Cruz Mesa was cited and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On October 11, 2021, around 4:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of 8th Street, Monroe, for a reported criminal mischief. The caller reported two gates on her fence line had been damaged over the weekend. She estimated the damages to be $40; there is no suspect information at this time
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday October 11, 2021 at about 12:50 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Philomath Blvd near 15th St. for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, JEFFREY JOHN CHARLES, 45, had five outstanding warrants, four from Benton County Circuit Court. CHARLES was issued citations on all of his Warrants and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday October 11, 2021 at about 12:10 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 3rd near Twin Oaks Circle for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, AARON MICHAEL CLEVELAND, 42, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. CLEVELAND was issued a citation in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday October 10, 2021 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a pick-up truck on Highway 34 at the Highway 34 Bypass for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised one of the passengers, FRANK JAMES BEZUK, 49, of Lebanon, had a Felony Linn County Circuit Court for Probation Violation. BEZUK was issued a citation in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:08 PM, I saw CHRISTIAN COLACI, 29, walking near SE Alexander and SE Debord Street. COLACI had multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. COLACI was arrested and transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Thursday, October 7, 2021, at about 5:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible burglary in the 30800 block of Bellfountain Road. The property owner reported that while he was away for the weekend someone moved his wood chipper and entered his barn through a gap in a locked sliding door. He said nothing appeared to be missing from the property.
BURGLARY 1 - On October 7, 2021, deputies responded to the 2900 block of SW 53rd St, Corvallis for a reported burglary. Two doors were forced open. At the time of the call no items were known to be stolen.
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/03/2021 at approximately 11:15 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 9th Street and Garfield Avenue in Corvallis. They learned Paul Bonnen, 32, had an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies issued Bonnen a citation in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:10 PM, deputies stopped a silver Toyota Celica coupe on NW Sequoia Avenue near NW 9th Street in Corvallis. The driver, OSCAR RAMIREZ, 18, was cited and released on a confirmed outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. RAMIREZ was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured.
DWS MIS - On 10/03/2021 at approximately 4:08 am, deputies were dispatched a suspicious circumstance call in the 27100 block of Old River Rd. They contacted Jeramy Ball, 44, of Eugene, in the area, who had run out of gas in a private driveway. Ball`s driving privileges are suspended at the misdemeanor level in Oregon. Deputies issued Ball a citation in lieu of custody for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 10/03/2021 at approximately 1:40 am, deputies responded to a non-injury crash on Highland Drive. They contacted an adult female who was seated in the vehicle, blocking the southbound lane of travel. The vehicle was missing the front right tire and wheel. Deputies contacted a tow company who removed the vehicle from the roadway. The female driver was not injured during the crash.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On October 2, 2021 around 9:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to 360 Avery Street for a vehicle break in that occurred at the Benton County Public Works Office. The caller reported her vehicle was broken into during the Beaver football game, and items were missing from her vehicle. An Apple Macbook Air was taken from her vehicle that was in a grey laptop bag. The suspect was a male wearing darker clothing, pulling a yellow bicycle trailer.
ASSAULT 4 - On September 15, 2021 at about 4:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 25300 block of Alsea Deadwood Hwy, Alsea, for a report of an Assault. They arrived and contacted a resident who said me he had been grabbed and pushed by a male that was on his property with a male named, "CODY." Deputies weren’t able to locate the male.
DUII - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at approximately 7:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 5800 block of NW 99W for a possible DUII driver. They spoke with Jay Rodney Faulconer, 62, who told them he drove there from his home. Deputies Faulconer was cited for DUII.
ASSAULT 4 - MIS ATTEMPTED - On October 8, 2021, deputies went to the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Road for a report of a trespass and arrested Christopher Engle, 39, for Attempted Assault IV and Menacing. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 10, 2021, Tyson Mathew Smith, 38, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant for Contempt of Court. Smith signed a release agreement, was given a new court date, and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On October 10, 2021, at 12:46 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24800 block of Decker Road in Corvallis for a Criminal Mischief. The resident reported sometime the previous night, an unknown person destroyed her mailbox and the post for the mailbox. There are no suspect leads.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident in the 29900 block of Beaver Creek Road by phone regarding vandalism. He reported that between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, someone hit his mailbox at the end of his driveway with a vehicle and pushed it over. It was the second time in a week his mailbox has been vandalized. This time his mailbox was not damaged or destroyed and he would be able to fix the post.
THEFT 3; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD; IDENTITY THEFT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 10, 2021, at around 8:39 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of SW Allen St for a reported Criminal Trespass. Trevor Jones, 47, was located at a group of tents near Pioneer Park. Jones was arrested and later issued criminal citations for Criminal Trespass 2, Identity Theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, and Possession of Lost/Mislaid Property.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 8:48 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident in the 25000 block of Decker Road by phone regarding vandalism. He reported that between the hours of 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM that day, someone hit his mailbox at the end of his driveway with a vehicle and pushed it over. His mailbox was not damaged or destroyed and he was able to put it back up. There was no suspect information.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 9, 2021, at 4:01 PM, deputies were dispatched to West Hills Road near North 9th Street in Philomath regarding two vehicles drag-racing. They located vehicles matching the description parked in the 1100 block of North 9th Street and contacted two males. They said they were testing out their vehicles and admitted to passing someone in a passing area. They were advised to stop driving the way they were.
MAIL THEFT - On October 9, 2021, at around 10:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of W Main St, Alsea, for a reported theft. The resident requested contact by phone and reported a missing package that was allegedly delivered by the USPS on October 1. The package contained workout clothes and was valued at $184. No current suspects.
ASSAULT 4 MIS - On October 8, 2021, deputies went to the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Road for a report of a trespass. They arrested Christopher Engle, 39, for Attempted Assault IV and Menacing. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Friday, October 8, 2021 at 8:16 AM, a resident in the 29900 block of Beaver Creek Road reported that someone intentionally destroyed his mailbox with a vehicle sometime between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM the day prior. He observed at least four or five other mailboxes in the area which had also been hit, along with numerous trash cans. There is no suspect information.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 8, 2021 at about 5:35 A.M., a man reported a Hit and Run at Alpine Road and Nichols Road. Deputies later determined that an eastbound truck and low boy trailer likely unknowingly side-swiped his vehicle, causing damage likely in excess of $2500.00. The truck driver stated he did not realize this happened. Deputies completed a crash report and sent both drivers a crash insurance form to complete and submit.
BURGLARY 2; UUV; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On October 8, 2021, deputies arrested EVANDER RUSTY WHITEDIRT, 27, for Burglary II, Criminal Trespass II, Unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, attempted unauthorized use of a vehicle and giving false information to police after a homeowner caught him breaking into their vehicle in their unattached garage at their residence in the 21400 block of Highway 20 in Blodgett.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at about 11:50 pm, deputies stopped a red Dodge Charger for illegal display of a registration plate. They later seized two sets of plates from the driver after determining that neither set belonged on the vehicle she was driving. They driver was cited for multiple traffic violations and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 6, 2021, David Rhinehart, 38, reported to the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA – DWS, bail $10000-00. Rhinehart was issued a new court date and released.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On October 5, 2021, a three-vehicle traffic crash occurred on Highway 20 at NE Granger Ave. All vehicles were towed due to damage and two of five passengers were transported by EMT’s to the hospital.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS;  ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at approximately 9:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and McFarland Road for a rollover crash. They arrived and spoke with the driver of Vehicle 1 who told deputies she was southbound and the crashed vehicle had been northbound in the southbound lane. She moved to the west side as far as possible without going into the ditch to avoid the crash. This caused damage to the underside of her vehicle due to straddling the edge of the roadway. The driver of vehicle 2, Krishan Cashen, 37, of Springfield, eventually corrected back into the northbound lane, causing her to lose control and crash. Cashen was Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor. Deputies later cited Cashen for DUII-Drugs, DWS Misdemeanor, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 1:28 PM, deputies saw MINDY KRIEG, 41, walking near 1st Street & Tyler Avenue in Corvallis. KRIEG had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest which Dispatch confirmed. KRIEG was issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for her warrant.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On 10/02/2021 at about 3:49 pm, deputies stopped Brittany WADE, 31, for a traffic violation off of Hickory Street, North Albany. WADE had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Lebanon Muni Court, Lebanon Oregon for P/V Theft in the third degree, $6100.00 bail. WADE was on her way to work in Corvallis so deputies allowed her to drive to work, where they cited her into the Lebanon Muni Court, 40 N 2nd Street, Lebanon.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, October 1, 2021 at about 2:24 pm, deputies were dispatched to SW 53rd Street at SW Reservoir Avenue for a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival they spoke with the driver of unit one. Unit one was heading south on 53rd Street and attempted to make a U turn at the intersection of 53rd and Reservoir. While making the U turn, unit one collided into the passenger side of unit two. Deputies then spoke with the driver of unit two. Unit two was headed south on 53rd Street. Unit one swerved as if to turn right onto Reservoir. Unit two started to go around unit one. Unit one turned back into the lane of travel colliding with the passenger side of unit two. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.
DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 1, 2021 at approximately 2:45 AM, deputies responded to and located a suspect vehicle in an attempt to locate broadcast. Malique TULCHINSKY, 22, was reported to have been crossing the center and fog lines and driving slow. Deputies stopped TULCHINSKY for Failure to Drive Within Lane and suspicion of DUII after observing him drift across the fog line. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from TULCHINSKY`s vehicle. TULCHINSKY consented to field sobriety tests, but refused the Walk and Turn and One-Leg Stand tests due to injuries. Deputies arrested Malique TULCHINSKY for DUII and Reckless Driving. TULCHINSKY was released at his residence.
DUII - On September 20, 2021 at approximately 12:20 AM, deputies stopped Michael GERENDASY, 48, of Junction City, for Failure to Drive Within Lane and suspicion of DUII on Coon Rd near Cherry Creek Rd. GERENDASY submitted to some field sobriety tests, but did not want to attempt the Walk and Turn or One-Leg Stand test due to a past injury and the incline of the roadway. Deputies arrested GERENDASY for DUII. At the Benton County Sheriff`s Office, Michael GERENDASY refused to take a breath test. Deputies applied for and was granted a telephonic search warrant for GERENDASY`s breath and/or blood sample. Deputies transported GERENDASY to GSRMC/ER where they drew two vials of blood. GERENDASY later submitted a jail release blow and his blood alcohol content was over the legal limit.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On September 29, 2021, David Rhinehart, 38, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail on a Clackamas County Circuit warrant for FTA - DWS felony, bail $80000-00. Clackamas County jail issued a new court date and subject was released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – On September 19, 2021, a caller said two people were on her property and behind her residence on 17th Street in Philomath. Deputies contacted the two individuals and advised them they were trespassing while on the railroad tracks behind the storage units and the caller’s residence. One person told deputies his dog did go on the caller’s property and he went to get the dog and called it back. Both said they were unaware they could not be on the tracks as they were just looking for agates. Both agreed they would not return and they walked away from the area.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at about 7:30 pm, deputies saw a gray Ford F150 pickup truck traveling north on SW 3rd Street near SW Avery Avenue with no tail lights or license plate light. They later arrested the driver, Stacy Ann Resides, 39, of Cheshire, for Driving While Suspended (misdemeanor). Resides was cited and release.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, TYLER JOHN BOYCE, 32, had an outstanding Felony Benton County Parole & Probation Warrant for a Probation Violation. Deputies arrested BOYCE and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 29, 2021 at about 7:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to a Harassment in the 2600 block of Michelle Dr. in Corvallis. A male stated he went to the top of Michelle Drive to look at the view and was, "CHASED" and "HARASSED" by a female who said she owned the property there. Deputies contacted the female who stated she went out to take pictures of them with her phone when they were trespassing. Deputies warned her on doing so in the future and the other parties were warned about trespassing.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, TYLER JOHN BOYCE, 32, had an outstanding Felony Benton County Parole & Probation Warrant for a Probation Violation. Deputies arrested BOYCE and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, October 4, 2021, at about 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash on SW 53rd Street near Bellfountain Road. The driver was uninjured. The vehicle was towed and the driver left the scene with the tow operator.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at approximately 12:05 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Bellfountain Road for a male who had gone up to a door and requested paramedics. Deputies arrived and located a male who told them he had been hit by a car and wanted to see medics. After observing no injury deputies transported Wilson to Good Samaritan Hospital at his request.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at approximately 10:05 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Philomath Boulevard and 71st Street for a male walking west on Philomath Boulevard and masturbating. Deputies spoke with a female who said she was jogging on the bike path and a male she described as being, "young, latino, wearing jeans and a black shirt," had his hands in his pants and appeared to be masturbating. She said the male was, "smiling blissfully," like he was on another planet. Deputies drove through the area and could not find the male.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at 9:21 AM, deputies stopped and arrested DIANNA FALCON, 39, of Nampa, ID, on multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants as she was riding her bicycle near SE 3rd Street and SE Crystal Lakes Drive in Corvallis. FALCON was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on her warrants.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On 10/03/2021 at around 2:51 am, deputies drove into Takena Landing and discovered someone had painted "METH WANTED" in the parking lot with what appears to be house paint.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 2, 2021 at about 6:30 pm, deputies contacted John D Caldwell, 28, under the Alsea Bridge and was cited him in lieu of custody for eight warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 2, 2021 at approximately 1:13 PM, deputies stopped a white BMW sedan on 9th Street near Cornell Avenue in Corvallis for a traffic violation. The driver was cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured. The passenger, KATRINA GRAY, 37, was cited and released on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest.
THEFT 2; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER DECEPTION; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; LITTERING; WARRANT ARREST - On October 2, 2021 at about 7:00 a.m., deputies went to the railroad tracks south of SW Avery Street, just east of SW Allen Street for follow up regarding Criminal Trespass I, Offensive Littering, and people camping without permission. They arrested, cited and released, NICOLE PATTERSON, 24, of Wilsonville, and CHARLES SHORE, 34, of South Beach.  SHORE was cited and released for Giving False Information to Police for lying about his name and using his brother`s name of CHRISTOPHER GRAY. Deputies also seized three bicycles.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at approximately 6:35 P.M., deputies stopped Jeffrey Alan Pearce, 44, on Twin Oaks Circle near 3rd Street, after a traffic violation. They learned Pearce’s driving status was Misdemeanor Suspended. They also cited and released Pearce for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor and Failure to Drive within Lane. Pearce arranged for someone to help get his car.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at approximately 11:05 A.M., Vehicle 1 was east on Chapel Drive, west of Bellfountain Road, in an International Dump Truck. Vehicle 2 was following the dump truck and began to pass. As Vehicle 2 was passing, Vehicle 1 moved over to avoid a bicycle rider. The rear wheels of the dump truck hit the rear passenger fender of Vehicle 2, a Ford, F-150, causing minor damage. Both vehicles were driven away.
DUII DRUGS - On September 26, 2021, around 10:15 PM, deputies were on patrol in Monroe when they observed a silver minivan driving in front of them, traveling north on Highway 99W. They arrested the driver of the vehicle Barbara Ellen Skurdal, 63, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, and for her warrant for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 25, 2021, at about 4:00 p.m., deputies were driving past SW Allen Street at SW Avery Street and saw a person walking on the railroad tracks about 3/4 mile south of SW Avery Street committing the crime of Criminal Trespass I. Deputies contacted the person, a male, identified themselves, and told him he was trespassing. The male said he did not know that, but was respectful. Deputies asked the male who he was, and he told them he was VICTOR LAWRENCE SELLS, 47. SELLS had a confirmed cite and release Misdemeanor warrant for Contempt of Court out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued SELLS a citation with a court date in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 22, 2021 at about 4:55 PM, deputies responded to a Traffic Crash on Highway 99W near Granger Ave. The driver of Vehicle 1 stated she was driving south on Highway 99W when she stopped for traffic at the red light and was rear ended by Vehicle 2. She said she was not injured, but that she was a little sore from the seatbelt after impact. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene; no one was transported to the hospital.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On September 20, 2021 at about 7:40 PM, deputies responded to the 24500 block of Territorial Highway for a suspicious vehicle. The contacted the resident who stated a man carrying a bag was jogging up and down the Highway, then got into an older sedan and left northbound. Deputies searched the immediate area, finding no one matching the description nor the vehicle.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, September 19, 2021 at about 4:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to a Trespass in the 4800 block of NE Hwy 20 in Corvallis. They located a female down in the rock pit near the river on private property. She was taken back to her car and warned next time she would be arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass II.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - October 3, 2021 at about 4:25 p.m., deputies went to the 28700 block of Highway 34 and located Owen D Mercier, 25, for an Oregon State Parole Board Warrant. He was transported to Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING - On October 2, 2021, around 4:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a theft that had occurred in the 9100 block of Arboretum Road, Corvallis. The resident reported a beekeepers suit, beehive smoker, and a gas can had been stolen off of his front porch. He told deputies the aggregate value for the items was $170. There is no suspect information at this time.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, October 1, 2021 at about 7:13 am, deputies were dispatched to the 16400 block of Highway 34 for a male trespassing on their property. The male subject was described as a heavy-set Hispanic male with dark hair, last seen wearing a white t-shirt. The male left the area prior to deputy arrival.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, September 30, 2021, at about 4:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Monday, September 27, 2021 at about 5:51 pm, near Highway 20, Milepost 44, Philomath. The caller reported she was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 in her Toyota Corolla when a Dodge Caravan traveling west, crossed over the centerline and side swiped her. She stated they exchanged information on scene, but when she attempted to contact him later because he gave her his AARP card for car insurance, she was unsuccessful. She stated the damage to her vehicle is around $2500. She reported no injuries to either party and both vehicles drove away from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 25, 2021 at around 11:14 PM, deputies contacted a male at Takena Landing named Kevin Fuller. Fuller, 57, had 6 warrants out of Linn County Circuit and one cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Linn County Jail requested citations in lieu of custody on the circuit court warrants. Fuller was issued a citation for all of his warrants and released from custody.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 24, 2021 at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies were westbound on Highway 20 near NE Granger Ave. They saw a vehicle parked near the KOAC radio building with its headlights shining on the front of the building. They could see an UNKNOWN person standing near the front door, shining a light into the windows. Deputies drove down Hyslop Rd to contact the UNKNOWN person and investigate a possible trespass. They found a male looking into the windows of the KOAC building. He said he was looking to speak with the engineer. Deputies explained to him he needed to contact the engineer and make an appointment to meet them or stop by during normal business hours. Deputies warned him for Trespass II.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT; WARRANT ARREST - On September 23, 2021 at around 11:50 pm, deputies observed a black ford expedition traveling northbound on HWY 99W near Granger Ave. The vehicle was displaying tags which did not belong to it. Deputies stopped the vehicle and determined the female driver was the protected person in a no contact release agreement. The front male passenger provided them with numerous false names, but was ultimately identified as the respondent in the no contact release agreement, Garrett Jacks, 38, of Lebanon. Jacks also had two warrants for his arrest. Jacks was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked for providing false info and violating a no contact release agreement. Jacks was issued citations to appear on his two warrants.
INITIATE FALSE REPORT - On September 19, 2021 at about 5:00 p.m., in the 5100 block of Willamette Ave, Adair, deputies issued Sherrie Filipelli, 36, a citation for Initiating a False Report after she attempted to report a telephonic harassment that she was actually initiating and maintaining.
UUV; IDENTITY THEFT; POSS STOLEN VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; DUII DRUGS; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; LITTERING; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:50 AM, deputies responded to the 2600 Block of NW Sulphur Springs Road to attempt to locate a male who was reportedly trying to ram his vehicle into one of the OSU Research Forest gates. They arrested JOSEPH REFUGIO GOMEZ, 38, near a blue Toyota Sienna minivan, which had been stolen from Corvallis the day prior. GOMEZ admitted to originally taking the vehicle and also to driving that day, exhibiting signs of being under the influence of a CNS stimulant. Blood and urine samples were obtained via a search warrant. GOMEZ was booked at the Benton County Jail where he was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Criminal Mischief I, Identity Theft, DUII - Drugs, Reckless Driving, Littering, Disorderly Conduct II, and Hit & Run (Property).
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 3 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, August 28, 2021, at about 12:13 pm, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in the 7600 block of NE Pettibone Drive, Corvallis. A resident reported his unlocked stored RV was entered by unknown persons; $20 worth of quarters and $25 worth of batteries were taken. There was evidence to suggest the unknown persons stayed for an extended time in the RV. No suspect identified at this time.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 26, 2021, at around 1:55pm, deputies were dispatched to the 4800 block of NE Elliott Circle for a report of Criminal Mischief. A male reported his and his son’s vehicles had been vandalized. He believed the vandalism was the result of an altercation he had with a local store employee three weeks ago. Minimal damage. There are no current suspects.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at about 1:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to Pioneer Park in Corvallis to assist Benton County Parole and Probation Deputies with a warrant service. They later arrested Michael John Elgin, 30, on multiple Benton County Circuit Court warrants. Elgin was cited and released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at about 8:00 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked near the 2500 block of NW Michelle Drive. They spoke with the driver and his passenger, who were camping overnight and agreed to leave the area.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Friday, September 24, 2021, at about 8:14 pm, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to a Motor Vehicle at Irish Bend Park in Monroe. A female reported between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, her 2014 Nissan Xterra’s driver-side window was broken, and around $200.00 cash was stolen from her wallet that was in her purse, hidden under the driver’s seat. She valued the total damage to her vehicle to be around $200.00. No suspect identified at this time.
UNLAW POSS OF FIREARM - On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at about 12:30 pm, deputies stopped a red 1990 Lexus 400 for going 73MPH in a 55MPH zone. They later arrested the driver, Mathew Duane Nida, 40, of Brownsville, for unlawful possession of a firearm.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On September 27, 2021, at around 1:52 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Highway 20 for an abandoned vehicle. A resident reported she found a black 2007 Acura TSX stuck in a ditch and blocking her driveway. This vehicle is related to an earlier call involving a female not being able to find her car after she got it stuck the night before. The female was contacted and advised of her vehicle’s location.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 6:17 PM, deputies arrested TROY AVERILL, 51, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants after they saw him jump off the roof of a travel trailer in the driveway of a residence in the 23800 block of Maxfield Creek Road and attempt to hide from them inside a lean-to. AVERILL was cited and released on his warrants at the request of the Benton County Jail.
DUII - On Friday, September 24, 2021, at approximately 1:10 AM, deputies stopped YSABELLA ORTIZ, 20, of McMinnville, in the area of Highway 99W and Llewellyn. They observed indicators of impairment and YSABELLA was arrested for DUII after consenting to SFSTs. YSABELLA provided a breath sample and was later released to a sober friend. Her vehicle was a traffic hazard and was towed.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On September 22, 2021, at about 11:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a theft in the 23800 block of Woods Creek Road, near Philomath. They called and spoke to a resident who stated his front license plate had been stolen. He had no idea when the plate could have been stolen or where it was stolen. He was convinced the plate was stolen and not fallen off. Deputies provided him with a case number and answered any additional questions he had.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 8, 2021 at about 5:00 PM, deputies responded to the area of 765 SW 53rd Street known more commonly as the tree farm - a habitat for the homeless - for shots being fired. They arrived and located none; however, they did notice a transient lying on the ground near a truck at that location. They located a warrant for the arrest of the transient identified as Christopher Huntting, 33. Deputies I issued him a citation lieu of custody and released him in the field. Warrant information is as follows: LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT FOR FTA CONTEMPT OF COURT, NO BAIL.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On September 8, 2021, deputies responded to the Alsea Mercantile for a vehicle parked in the roadway. The vehicle was a gold colored Honda Accord with no license plates. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/8/2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30 AM, JAIL DEPUTIES SERVED TWO WARRANTS ON SELVES, DAMON, 39, OF SALEM. SELVES WAS IN BENTON COUNTY JAIL CUSTODY AND WAS RELEASED ON HIS LOCAL CHARGES BY THE COURT. WARRANT INFO: MARION COUNTY FOR FAIL TO APPEAR ON A TRAFFIC OFFENSE AND POLK COUNTY FOR FTA DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED FELONY. SELVES WAS TRANSPORTED TO POLK COUNTY THAT SAME DAY WITH A DETAINER FOR HIS WARRANT OUT OF MARION COUNTY
THEFT 2; IDENTITY THEFT - On September 3, 2021, at about 9:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud in the 100 block of South 7th Street in Monroe. The resident stated a package was delivered to her address which she did not order. The package was purchased from an online store with a credit card purchase for $149.85 dollars, which she confirmed she did not purchase. Fed Ex took the package to have returned. She stated she needed a police case number to be reimbursed through her credit company. She added she was unaware who would have used her card but canceled the card as well to prevent future fraudulent purchases.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at about 9:40 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud in the 24500 block of Old Peak Road, near Philomath. They called and spoke with the resident who stated his information was used to attempt to collect unemployment benefits. They stated the information used was his social security number and was sent to their business. They denied the claim and reported it to the Oregon Employment Office and were informed to make a formal police report. They stated no money was transferred and no other fraudulent activity occurred.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 11:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a female in the 200 block of Market Street in Alsea by phone, regarding harassment by her mother-in-law. She alleged she and her husband have been receiving unwanted contact from her by phone and in person. Deputies told the mother-in-law not to contact either party. The caller was told how to apply for a stalking protective order.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On September 26, 2021, at around 11:06 am, deputies were dispatched to the front lawn of the Benton County Courthouse for a suspicious person digging holes with a shovel. A male was warned against metal-detecting and digging on County property without a proper permit. No damage was found.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 25, 2021, at 2:30 PM, deputies stopped Rena Selene Brandt, 38, of Toledo, on Highway 20 near milepost 47 in Philomath for operating a vehicle with studded tires. Brandt had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Lincoln County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear/ Dangerous Drugs, Bail $15,000. Brandt was issued a new court date and cited for Driving While Suspended.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On September 25, 2021 at about 12:30 pm, deputies located a suspicious vehicle on Old River Road near West Ingram Island Rd. The occupants were hunting for agates in gravel on the side of the road.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:11 AM, a Ford F150 pickup was eastbound on Highway 20 near Mile Post 49 when the driver slowed to a stop. The driver of a disabled semi-truck had gotten out of his vehicle and was attempting to slow traffic in the area after the driveline broke, causing a blockage of the westbound lane. The Ford vehicle was struck from behind by a Tesla Model Y SUV, which could not stop in time. There were no injuries reported and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
ASSAULT 4 - On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at about 2:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Lincoln Elementary School in Corvallis to investigate a case of suspected child abuse. They later arrested the child’s grandfather, Neal Patrick Morris, 55, for Assault IV. Morris was cited and released.
THEFT 1 - On September 18, 2021 at about 12:00 p.m., deputies took a report of a theft of a metal bike rack, tables and a wagon from a yard in the 1400 block of SE Alexander, Corvallis. There are no suspects at this time.
HARASSMENT - On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at approximately 7:06 PM, deputies spoke to a resident who reported unwanted harassing phone calls from her estranged husband. Deputies spoke to the husband and told him not to contact her any further. He said he had no interest in speaking to her and would not contact her.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 18, 2021 around 1:17 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle driving into Takena Landing. A female passenger, Mickala Birdsell, 26, had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for failing to carry or present a license. She was cited and released. The driver was cited for DWS and Driving uninsured.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On September 23, 2021, vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on NE Granger Avenue in Corvallis. They made a left turn onto Highway 20, failing to yield to right away to vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 and crashed into Pelletier. No injuries were reported by either driver on scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On September 23, 2021, vehicle 1 was traveling southbound on Independence Highway in Corvallis. He turned left onto Highway 20, without yielding the right away to vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 crashed into vehicle 1, as she was turning left onto NW Independence Highway. No injuries were reported on scene.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at about 9:15 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person in the Palestine Cemetery on NW Palestine Avenue near NW Oak Grove Drive. At the cemetery they spoke with a male, who was practicing his public speaking in the cemetery.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday September 21, 2021 at about 6:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Priest Road off Highway 20. Dispatch advised the driver, KRISTINA KAY VERGARA, 40, and one of the passengers, AARON GARLAND, 38, had outstanding Warrants. Both were cited and released in the field on their warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at about 9:45 am, while on patrol in Takena Landing, Albany, deputies arrested Elizabeth June Bowman, 37, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant. Bowman was cited and released.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 20, 2021 at around 10:20 pm, deputies observed a Honda Civic drive up to the turnaround in the 2600 block of NW Michelle Drive with a malfunctioning headlamp. They also saw that the license plate tags were expired in 2020. They contacted the driver, Adam Nicholas, 41, of Lebanon. He had two Misdemeanor Warrants for his arrest. Citations were authorized instead of custody.
DWS MIS - On September 20, 2021, deputies arrested CHARLES TAKUCHY SHIRAI, 51, for Driving while revoked/misdemeanor after a traffic stop on 3rd Street near Hopkins Avenue.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/20/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:20 PM, FREDERICK, ALEX, 25, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, BAIL $3K. FREDERICK WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 20, 2021, at about 9:00 am, while on patrol at Takena Landing, Albany, deputies arrested Brandon Alan Howard, 36, on a Lane County Circuit Court warrant. Howard was cited and released with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021, around 11:30 AM, while deputies were patrolling Takena Landing on Highway 20 in Albany, they observed a male, later identified as Anthony Raymond Matney, 34, walking his bicycle outside of Takena Landing’s posted hours. Matney had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court, and was issued a citation with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021, at around 1:39 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 1992 Honda Civic near the intersection of SE 3rd St and SE Richland Ave. Dispatch informed a passenger, Aarren Haylett, 19, of Independence, had a warrant out of Tillamook County Circuit Court for Criminal Mischief 2. Haylett was issued a criminal citation for the warrant in lieu of Custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021, at 12:59 PM, deputies contacted Kyle Nussdorfer, 29, at his residence in the 2400 block of SW Leonard Street, Corvallis. Nussdorfer had a confirmed Felony Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for his arrest. Nussdorfer stated he swallowed 4 grams of cocaine and 2 oxycodone pills prior to his arrest. Nussdorfer was transported to the hospital for treatment and then transported to the Benton County Jail on the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021 at around 12:18 am, deputies contacted a woman who appeared to be sleeping in her pickup in a parking in the 1900 block of SW 3rd Street. The woman was identified as Barbara Anderson, 67. Anderson had a warrant for FTA DUII out of Benton County Circuit Court. She was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
FORGERY 2 - On Saturday, September 18, 2021, at about 6:45 pm, deputies dispatched to a suspicious circumstance in the 2100 block of NE Highway 20, Corvallis. An employee reported that Shane Hanson, 52, attempted to exchange a counterfeit $20 bill. Hanson was arrested at his residence for Forgery II, cited, and released on scene.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 18, 2021, at around 7:39 am, I was dispatched to Golf Club of Oregon, located at 905 Springhill Dr, for a reported burglary. An employee reportedly found the front door of the club house had been pried open. No items were found to have been taken. The alarm company reported motion activity at 12:02am, but did not report it. No current suspects.
CHILD NEGLECT 2; CHILD WELFARE 4 - On September 17, 2021, at about 7:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NE Willamette Avenue for a young child, about two-years-old, who was naked, and came onto their neighbor`s property with a large friendly dog. A neighbor called this in and watched the child and dog until deputies arrived. The child was naked or close to it, and they wrapped the child up in a blanket. The mother was located.
MISSING PERSON - On Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:25 PM, a caregiver reported one of her clients had walked away from an adult care home in the 1000 block of NE Granger Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies checked the area for the individual, who allegedly suffers from Dementia and other severe mental health issues. The man ended up returning to the care home on his own that day around 5:00 PM.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/17/21, FONGER, Kyler, 26, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Lincoln Co Circuit warrant for FTA Child Neglect. Deputies issued Fonger a new court date.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; WARRANT ARREST; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, September 17, 2021 at 6:46 AM, deputies located and arrested two individuals who were trespassing with their vehicle on a piece of private property on the north side of Highway 20 just east of NW Rondo Street. PEGGY GIBSON, 49, and JAMES PRYOR, 54, were both cited and released for Trespass I and Trespass II. GIBSON was also cited for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; WARRANT ARREST - On September 17, 2021 at around 01:42 AM, deputies stopped a white Ford Taurus near NE Granger Ave, and NE Perribone Dr. They contacted the driver who told deputies she had no ID but told them her name was Olivia Washington. Deputies determined this was not the woman`s true identity. She was subsequently arrested. Deputies discovered her real name was Winnie Curtice, 27, of Scio. Curtice had 2 warrants for her arrest. She was issued criminal citations for both warrants and additionally cited for providing false info in connection with a warrant and fail to carry and present a license. Curtice was also issued traffic citations for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and failing to install an ignition interlock device.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/16/21, Perreard, Darren, 51, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co confirmed warrant for FTA theft II. Perreard was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies contacted Christopher Biondello, 45, in the 2600 block of Adams St, Eugene, Or. Biondello had a confirmed Felony arrest warrant for his arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court. Biondello was issued a citation and released on scene.
DOG BITE – On September 15, 2021 at 3:33 p.m., deputies transported a dog from the 600 block of N 9th Street in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog will serve a ten-day quarantine for biting and breaking the skin of a person.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15, 2021, deputies stopped a silver Saturn OR on Highway 99W near MP 105. The driver, Cody McMillen Sims, 37, was issued a citation on two warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 13, 2021, at around 1:54 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a gray 2005 Ford Freestar on Dawson Road, near Milepost 2. The driver was later issued a citation for violation-level PCS-Meth. A passenger, Lindsey Weston, 31, of Springfield, was arrested and transported to Lane County Jail for a Parole Violation Warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 12, 2021, around 11:40 PM, deputies were on patrol driving through Takena Landing. They contacted two males sitting in a vehicle, outside of the hours Takena Landing is open. One of the males identified himself as Aaron Eugene Touole, 39, of Salem, who had multiple warrants. Touole was issued citations for his warrants in lieu of custody.
THEFT 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On September 12, 2021, around 6:30PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a man in regards to items being stolen from his vehicle at Finley Wildlife Refuge, at the Cheetle Marsh trailhead. A black Dell laptop, a gas can, and outdoor supplies were taken from his vehicle. He said his window was rolled down, and he did not observe any damages to his vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/09/21 OLSEN, Larry, 70, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a FTA -Discon II warrant out of Benton Co. Olsen was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - At approximately 9:30 pm on 09/07/21, David Olsen, 56, turned himself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a confirmed warrant for DWS. OLSEN was released with a release agreement that had a new court date issued.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 3 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:08 AM, deputies responded to the Monroe area for suspicious activity. It was determined two vehicles were involved in stealing items from residences including a gas can and metal sign from the 27000 block of Finley Road. They ended up stopping one of the involved vehicles, a white Honda Accord sedan, on Highway 99W near West Ingram Island Road. They arrested the driver, IAN BLAKE, 27, of Junction City, after observing stolen property from the residence in the back seat of his vehicle. BLAKE was transported to the Lane County Jail where he was booked and lodged on a detainer from his Probation Officer. BLAKE was also charged with Burglary II, Trespass II, and Theft III in relation to this case. The items were returned to their owner.
MAIL THEFT; IDENTITY THEFT - On Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:08 AM, deputies responded to the Monroe area for suspicious activity. It was determined two vehicles were involved in stealing items from local residences, including mail from the 25700 block of Coon Road. They ended up stopping one of the involved vehicles, a white Honda Accord sedan with no plates, on Highway 99W near West Ingram Island Road. They arrested the driver, IAN BLAKE, 27, after observing stolen property from one of the residences in the back seat of his vehicle. BLAKE was transported to the Lane County Jail where he was booked and lodged on a detainer from his Probation Officer. BLAKE was also charged with Mail Theft (X2) and Identity Theft in relation to this case. The mail was returned to its owner,
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at approximately 6:12 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Lewisburg for report of a female starting a fire. They contacted SOFYA KONSTANKTINOV GERASIMENKO, 29, of Keizer, who had a small cooking fire where she was warming a quesadilla. SOFYA had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest and deputies issued her a criminal citation in lieu of custody and released her.
