Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allow.
Any arrest and complaint information included below is based on the legal conclusion that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 27, 2023, around 6:30PM, deputies arrested Allison Heather Gilmore, 39, on Highway 20 near milepost 4 for a warrant out of Linn County for Child Neglect. Deputies issued Gilmore a criminal citation with a new court date. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 11/27/2023 at approximately 5:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 25800 block of Maxfield Creek Road for a report of an injury crash. When they arrived, all three occupants had self-extricated and appeared to have minor injuries and were all transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by the Corvallis Fire Department. Their vehicle had left the roadway due to icy conditions and rolled over into a ditch. |
DWS MIS - On Monday November 27, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Gray 2015 Honda Civic at Philomath Boulevard and 35th Street. After contacting the driver, Anthony Simmons, 21, deputies learned he was driving while suspended. Deputies issued Simmons a criminal citation in lieu of custody and departed the area. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/26/2023 at approximately 9:00 P.M., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a red 1994 Geo Prism on NW Garfield Ave near 9th Street in Corvallis and contacted three occupants. A passenger, Rochelle Rictor, 32, was issued a citation in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant. The driver was subsequently issued a citation for driving while suspended and the other passenger had a violation level amount of methamphetamine (1.36 grams) on his person, which was seized. |
On Thursday, Nov. 23, deputies arrested Jeremy William Lincourt (37) of Eugene, for DUII and Reckless Driving. |
On Sunday, Nov. 26, deputies arrested Osvaldo Preciado Ramos (48) of Eugene, for DUII and Reckless Driving. |
On Sunday, Nov. 26, deputies arrested Uriel Gonzalezcas (22) of Albany, for DUII and Reckless Endangering. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Thursday, November 23, 2023, at about 6:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to locate a silver Acura sedan on Highway 99 near Lewisburg Avenue that was reportedly driving recklessly between I-5 and Highway 99. Deputies stopped the Acura on Highway 99 near milepost 77 and spoke with the driver. Deputies determined the driver was not impaired or otherwise unsafe to drive. Deputies attempted to contact the reporting person to follow-up by phone but they did not answer or respond to the voicemail. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 22, 2023, around 5:00 PM, deputies were on foot patrol at the Meadows at 800 4th Street, Corvallis. While patrolling, deputies contacted a female who identified herself as Kristina Marie Wheeler, 25. Deputies ran Wheeler through dispatch and was informed Wheeler had a warrant out of Corvallis Municipal Court for Illegal Camping. Wheeler followed deputies to their patrol vehicle where they issued her a criminal citation with a new court date. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 22, 2023 at 7:46 am, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash on Hwy 99w just south of McFarland Rd. The driver was traveling southbound on Hwy 99w when he reportedly fell asleep. He entered the west ditch where his vehicle became stuck. The vehicle sustained minimal damage, but the side curtain airbags deployed. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; WARRANT ARREST - On November 21, 2023, around 3:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Commercial Street, Monroe, for a trespass. The caller reported a female he had rented a room and stayed past the check-out time and was refusing to leave. The caller reported there was a death like smell emanated from the room. The female, who deputies later identified as Jennifer Ariane Luhn Hartman, 59, was arrested for her warrants and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital at her request. |
IDENTITY THEFT - On November 21st, 2023, at about 8:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 8300 block of NW Cardwell Hill Corvallis, for a report of fraud. A fake Amazon Scam scammed a resident out of 5000 dollars. The resident made a fraud report to Amazon and Bitcoin Depot. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 26, 2023, at approximately 1:30 PM, deputies contacted Mickala Birdsell, 28, in a Nissan Altima during a traffic stop near Van Buren Street & 3rst Street, Corvallis. Birdsell was arrested on a warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for contempt of court and a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for failure to appear for a traffic offense. Birdsell was issued citations in lieu of custody with court dates for her respective warrants and issued additional traffic citations for violation driving while suspended and driving uninsured. |
HARASSMENT - On November 25, 2023, at 3:38 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of NW Cedar Lane in Adair Village for a Telephonic Harassment. The caller said she was a caregiver for an elderly couple. She reported an ex-employee was harassing her and her clients with phone calls and text messages. The caller wanted deputies to warn her for Telephonic Harassment. Deputies made contact with the ex-employee and advised the ex-employee to stop calling and texting the caller and her clients. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 25, 2023 at around 11:31 am, deputies contacted Jacob Emil Sokol, 47, in the 600 block of North Albany Rd. Sokol was later arrested, cited and released for his Albany Muni Court warrant, Contempt of Court, No Bail. |

IDENTITY THEFT - On November 24, 2023 at 1:40 pm, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported an unknown subject used his personal information to apply for two personal loans online. These online applications were completed at Blackhill Federal Credit Union and Central Willamette Credit Union. The resident became aware of these fraudulent attempts after receiving a fraud alert from his Capital One credit card company. The resident contacted both financial institutions and found out both applications had been denied. During these conversations, neither institution provided the resident with any potential suspect information for follow up. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 23rd, 2023 at about 12:25 pm, deputies were in the area of 9th Street and Hayes Street in Corvallis, when they heard a motorcycle coming from the south on 9th Street near where they were sitting. The rider was traveling at 55 mph in a 30 mile per hour zone. Deputies made contact with the male rider, Zachary Gene Johnson, 33, of Corvallis. Dispatch advised Johnson was DWS-Violation through Oregon DMV. Dispatch also advised Johnson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Deputies cited and released Johnson. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 22, 2023, at around 5:30pm, deputies contacted Trevor Jones, 29, at Pioneer Park and later arrested him for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Contempt of Court. Jones was transported to Benton County Jail where he was lodged. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 20, 2023, at approximately 5:00 PM, deputies appeared at a traffic trial where the defendant, Lisa Mokarzel, 53, also had a warrant from Albany Municipal Court for FTA/giving false information to police. After the traffic trial, Mokarzel was arrested on this warrant and issued a citation in lieu of custody with a court date for her warrant. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 19, 2023, at approximately 11:30 AM, deputies responded to the 200 block of N 5th Street, Monroe for suspicious activity captured on a security camera at the address earlier in the morning. A male was identified from the video and later notified he was trespassed from the location. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 19th, 2023 at about 12:50 pm, deputies were in the area of 3rd Street and Twin Oaks Street in Corvallis, when they saw an older maroon Chrysler Cirrus traveling north bound on 3rd Street with a broken windshield. The driver identified herself as, Jeris Joan (Wall) Stewart, 45. Dispatch advised Stewart was DWS-Violation through Oregon DMV. Dispatch also advised Stewart had outstanding warrants for her arrest. Deputies cited and released Wall. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, November 19, 2023, at approximately 11:55 AM, deputies observed a white GMC SUV with expired California license plates drive west on Avery Park Drive, Corvallis. The driver was identified as Cassidy Waskom, 52, and later arrested on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for contempt of court and a warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for failure to appear/PCS Meth. Waskom was issued citations in lieu of custody with court dates for his respective warrants as well as other traffic citations. |
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On November 19th, 2023, at about 7:18 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of Commercial Street in Monroe for a report of a U-Haul that had been parked overnight in the middle of the street. Deputies contacted U-Haul, and it was reported as an Abandoned truck. U-Haul provided a tow for the truck. |
THEFT 1; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, November 10th, 2023, at approximately 4:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a reported theft in the 25700 block of Highway 99 West. A resident reported her front fence had been stolen. No suspect information. |
DWS MIS - On Monday November 20, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Red 2003 Toyota Highlander on 23rd Street and Tyler Avenue and later learned the driver, Steen Skinner, 33, who was driving while suspended misdemeanor. Deputies arrested Skinner and later issued him a criminal and violation citation in lieu of custody. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday November 19, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Independence Highway near Pettibone Drive on a Black 2006 Ford Expedition. The driver, Rachael Rourke, 34, was later arrested for two fail to appear warrants and lodged at the Benton County Jail. |
MISSING PERSON - On Sunday, November 19th, 2023, at about 5:50 p.m., deputies responded to Beaver Creek Rd at MP 4 Benton County, Oregon for a missing mushroom picker. A wife reported her husband went missing during their mushroom hunt. Search and Rescue was called to the scene and a search was conducted into the morning hours of 11/20/2023. The hunter was not located during the search and the search was called off for the night. Search and Rescue returned the scene during daylight hours, and a couple hours into the search they located Jeremiah alive and well. |
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On November 18th, 2023, at about 11:26 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of 53rd Street and Reservoir in Corvallis, Oregon. The Driver, Micheal Konkolis, 36, was arrested for Driving While suspended Misdemeanor and a Probation Violation warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Konkolis was criminally cited and released. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On November 14th, 2023, at about 8:07 am, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of N 5th Street In Monroe, for a report of suspicious circumstances. It appeared that someone tried to break into the restaurant by attempting to cut the metal door using tools. No entry was made and there are no suspects. |
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On November 6, 2023, around 8:30 PM, deputies observed a black GMC Yukon and discovered two out of the three registered owners of the vehicle had unconfirmed warrants and were misdemeanor suspended through the state of Oregon. The driver identified herself as Brandi Lynn Trelstad, 34. The passenger identified himself as Exzavier Jamar Wright, 23. Wright was taken to Linn County Jail for his warrants and Trelstad was issued criminal citations for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor and for her warrants. |
UUV - On October 31, 2023, around 6:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on South Fork Road, near milepost one, Monroe. It was reported there was a male walking away from a crashed car on Alpine Road. When deputies arrived, they spoke to a male who said he was on a hike near a gate on South Fork Road. He said when he was returning to his vehicle, he saw a person on an all-black motorcycle wearing a black puffy coat, black helmet, and black pants, rapidly speed away with his vehicle close behind. |
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, deputies arrested Hillary Ellen Sesnon (34) of Monroe, for DUII and Reckless Driving after a crash on Hwy 99W. |
On Tuesday, Nov. 21, deputies arrested Anthony L Cantwell (62) of Portland, for DUII Drugs and Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor. |
On Sunday, Nov. 19, deputies arrested Michael Carl Taphouse (60) of The Dalles, for DUII. |
On Saturday, Nov. 18, deputies arrested Sarah Rose Stiles (48) of California, for DUII Drugs. |
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD; IDENTITY THEFT - On Friday, November 17, 2023, at approximately 3:10 PM, deputies contacted a male from Blodgett, Oregon by phone in regard to identity theft and fraudulent use of his credit cards. He received a scam email and provided financial information over the phone and online. He canceled his bank cards to prevent any monetary loss. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 16th, 2023 at about 12:40 A.M., deputies arrived in the 17200 block of Little Lobster Road in Alsea for an accident involving one vehicle after the driver went over an embankment near his home and crashed into some trees. He was not impaired or injured. He stated he was driving at about 5-10 M.P.H. and it was foggy, and he was tired from driving home from Gresham. He failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and got pulled into the soft, muddy shoulder and went over the embankment. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/13/2023 at approximately 11:00 P.M., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white 1998 Ford Expedition on 2nd Street near Harrison Boulevard in Corvallis. The driver, Alfredo Cisneros, 27, had a warrant out of Linn County for Probation Violation. Cisneros was subsequently issued a citation in lieu of custody for his warrant, as well as a citation for driving while suspended. |
BURGLARY 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Sunday, November 11, 2023, at approximately 10:00 AM, deputies responded to the 200 block of N 5th Street, Monroe where staff found damage to a door after an attempted burglary during the previous night. There were no cameras that captured activity at the location of the damaged door. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 7:00 AM, deputies responded to Highway 34 between mile posts 54 and 58 for multiple vandalized mailboxes. Deputies located 6 mailboxes and a street sign that were knocked over. The various property owners were informed and provided case information. |
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On October 22, 2023, around 8:00PM, deputies were dispatched to the 26500 block of Alpine Cutoff Road, Monroe, for a domestic disturbance. The caller reported his mom`s boyfriend hit him in the face and made him leave the house. Deputies had the caller leave the residence rather than charge him with Harassment. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at about 10:02 AM, deputies arrived in the 1700 block of SW Brooklane Drive in Corvallis to locate Lee Robert Magnusson, 38, for an outstanding warrant. Lee was arrested and lodged on the following warrant: Maricopa County Sexual Exploitation of Minor and Sexual Conduct with Minor. |
UUV - On November 14th, 2023 at around 7:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle that had occurred on 11/12/2023 in the 32300 block of Marys Peak Rd. A male reported that his stepfather had borrowed the vehicle and left it in the parking lot at Marys Peak while he went to work as a mushroom picker. When his stepfather returned, he discovered the vehicle was gone. Deputies had him and his stepfather come to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office and complete a stolen vehicle report form. No suspects at this time. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 13, 2023, at around 11:15 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white Chrysler Town & Country near Highway 34/ Peoria Rd and later arrested the passenger, Heather Johnson, 35, for a Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for DWS. Johnson was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. The driver was issued a citation for Driving while suspended - violation. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 13, 2023, at around 5:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a male by phone who wanted to report his juvenile son was involved in a motor vehicle crash at Crescent Valley High School earlier that day. The juvenile reported his vehicle was backed in to by a grey SUV when leaving school. Both drivers went their separate ways with no exchange of information. |
WARRANT ARREST - Deputies contacted Michael Konkolis, 36, at the DHS building on November 13, 2023. Konkolis had an active Philomath Municipal Court warrant for FTC DWS. The Philomath Municipal provided a court date and time for their warrant and Konkolis was issued criminal citations to appear in lieu of custody. |
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Monday, November 13, 2023, deputies contacted Steen Skinner, 33, and Angela Filip, 26, at Hyak Park, 5000 NW Highway 20, Albany. Both individuals had multiple fail to appear warrants and were subsequently issued new criminal citations to appear to their respective courts. |
IDENTITY THEFT - On November 7th, 2023, at about 2:18 pm, deputies were on extra patrol in Monroe, Oregon, when a citizen came into the substation and reported a fraudulent unemployment claim in her name. She is out of money and is also working with the unemployment office to report the fraud. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 31st, 2023, at about 2:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a possible trespass in the 25200 block of Rainbow Creek Road in Monroe, Oregon. A resident was concerned that her neighbor was walking their dog down the street and it was trespassing. The street is premises open to the public, and there is no crime that has been committed. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday November 13, 2023, deputies contacted Elijah Williams, 40, at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Deputies later learned Williams had two fail to appear warrants out of Linn County and he was issued criminal citations with new court dates for the warrants. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 12th, 2023 at around 9:15 AM, deputies observed Donna Niemczak, 56, in the 500 block of SE Chapman Place. Deputies learned Donna Niemczak had an active Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court, for driving while suspended misdemeanor. She was issued the citation and released from my custody. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 10, 2023, at about 5:30 p.m., deputies stopped a black, Hyundai Elantra on Highway 20 near Rondo St for following too closely. James Castellano, 58, the driver of the vehicle, was issued a citation for Contempt of Court through the Albany Municipal Court. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 5, 2023, at about 2:15 AM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on SW Philomath Boulevard and SW 35th Street. Deputy Ash initiated a pursuit on a light-colored Honda Civic that crashed on SW 35th street and SW County Club Drive. Deputies deployed with K9 Asco and located a passenger, Tomothy George, 37, who left southbound after the car crashed. Timothy had a confirmed felony Marion County Circuit Cort warrant for Possession of a stolen vehicle. Timothy was taken to the hospital and later to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on his warrant. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On November 2, 2023, deputies responded to Highway 20 near NE Conifer Blvd for a reported traffic crash. When they arrived there were no vehicles at the location. The chain link fence along the parking lot of the Oregon State University property had been crashed into. Deputies could clearly see a vehicle had traveled up the dirt bank beyond the sidewalk and through the fence. At least two posts and more than 20 feet of chain link fencing was damaged. Deputies were advised by a postal worker that a maroon colored, mid 2000`s Ford F150 had driven through the fence. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle. |
SIMULATING LEGAL PROCESS COUNTERFEIT - On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, deputies received a letter, which was dropped off at the Benton County Tax Assessor`s office. The letter was a "Distraint Warrant" from the "Tax Resolution Unit Benton County Public Judgment Records". This letter was determined to be false and was later displayed on the BCSO Facebook page to inform the public. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 31st, 2023 at around 3:58 PM, deputies were driving along SW Philomath Blvd and observed Oren Hounchell walking along the bike path near Brooklane and 15th Street. Hounchell, 43, had a state-wide felony warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for FTA Identity Theft and two Linn County Circuit Court warrants, both were for failing to appear on a dangerous drug charge. Hounchell also had an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court. Hounchell was subsequently placed under arrest and later issued criminal citations in lieu of custody per all issuing agency`s requests. |
On Tuesday, Nov. 14, deputies arrested Timothy John Bostic II (39) of Keizer, for DUII and Reckless Driving. |
On Sunday, Nov. 12, deputies arrested Mia Elisa Rodriguez (25) of Portland, for DUII and Reckless Driving. |
On Saturday, Nov. 11, deputies arrested Sean Mitchell Quetschke (43) of Philomath, for DUII Drugs and Reckless Driving. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 11/11/2023, deputies handled a traffic crash in the city for Corvallis PD while they were on priority calls. The driver and sole occupant was a juvenile female who wasn`t injured in the crash. The juvenile`s parents arranged for a tow. |
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November 10, 2023, at about 4:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 36400 block of Norton Creek Road in Blodgett to look for Mikical Keith Stanley, 32. There was a felony warrant for Stanley`s arrest out of Tennessee and he was a non-compliant sex offender with a date of last contact in November 2021. Stanley was arrested and taken to the Benton County Jail on his warrant and a local charge for Failure to Report as a Sex Offender. |
DOG AT LARGE - November 10, 2023 10:10 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog from Blitz Lane in Blodgett to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was an adult neutered male black lab mix wearing a blue harness and some tags. |
RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 9, 2023, at around 9:21 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of SW 53rd St, for a report of Reckless driving. A caller reported a white medium-sized pickup truck and a green Chevrolet Camaro were doing "spin-outs" in the parking lot. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicles. A gray 1996 Toyota Camry parked at the church was identified as possibly belonging to the someone in the group. No damage found. |

PERSON <21 PURCHASING/POSSESSING MARIJUANA - On November 9, 2023, deputies were dispatched to Crescent Valley High School for a juvenile found with marijuana. Deputies issued the juvenile male a citation for Minor in Possession of less than an ounce of Marijuana. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 9, 2023, at about 8:28 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a non-injury vehicle crash in the back yard of a residence in the 34400 block of Iris Circle, Philomath. A resident reported finding a female inside her crashed vehicle, a 2007 Honda Ridgeline, in his backyard about 7:30 am. The vehicle had driven past his residence through the back yard and into a brush area beyond his yard. The female was reportedly driving to Depoe Bay from Riddle, OR. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital due to her condition rather than injuries from the crash. |
DWS MIS - On Wednesday November 8, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Black 2000 Ford Expedition at 3rd Street and Polk Avenue. Deputies later learned he driver, Tony Adams Jr., 55, was driving while suspended misdemeanor level. Deputies arrested Adams and later issued him a criminal citation in lieu of custody. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 7, 2023, at around 5:44 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and NW Mountain View Dr for a motor vehicle crash. A male reported he was driving north in his dark colored 2010 Toyota Corolla when he swerved to miss a deer. He was uninjured. The Toyota was towed from the scene. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On November 7, 2023 at approximately 4:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 24600 block of Stovall Ln, Philomath, OR for a 911 hangup call. Deputies were unable to locate anyone at this address. Deputies called the phone number back and left a message. At approximately 4:30 AM, deputies spoke to a male who said people were attempting to break into his house in the 24600 block of Stovall Ln. When deputies arrived, the male told them UNKNOWN person(s) had tried to pry open a door on his mobile home and had been under the mobile home "pushing up on the floor". Deputies searched the area around the mobile home with a K-9. There was no sign of anyone having been around the mobile home. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 6, 2023, at around 5:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to Shrike Way and Highway 20 for a report of trespassing. Wren Hill HOA reported an individual was camping behind the subdivision sign. Deputies arrived and found an unoccupied tent pitched in the trees. Deputies informed the HOA they could dispose of the tent. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On November 6, 2023 at around 12:16 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle injury crash at NW 53rd St and NW Harrison Blvd. A driver was turning south on NW 53rd St from NW Harrison Blvd in her white 2019 Ford Escape when she had to swerve to miss a vehicle traveling east through the intersection. The driver hit the traffic light pole causing significant frontend damage to her vehicle. Her airbags deployed. The driver was later transported by the Corvallis Fire Department to Good Samaritan Hospital. |
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - November 6, 2023, deputies performed a welfare check on some animals in the 29700 block of Highway 99W in Corvallis. Minimum care was not being met. Two of the dogs will be seen by a veterinarian. |
BURGLARY 1 - On November 5, 2023 at around 10:53 am, deputies were dispatched to the 7200 block of NW Appaloosa Ln for a reported Burglary. It was later determined a male had his truck stolen in Corvallis and the unknown suspects went to his residence. Utilizing the garage door opener they gained access to the house, broke a display case taking coins, and then jewelry from a bedroom. No usable evidence was found at the scene. |
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On November 5, 2023 at around 7:54 am, deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of Hwy 20 NW for a reported assault. It was later determined two men both committed the crime of harassment over one parking behind the other in the shared driveway. No arrests were made and deputies explained the eviction process to them. |
ASSAULT 3; RECKLESS ENDANGERING; UUV; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; ESCAPE 3; HINDER PROSECUTION; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; ELUDE FOOT - On Sunday, November 5, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a silver 2004 Honda Civic four door on Philomath Boulevard near 35th Street. The vehicle eluded driving west to Country Club Drive. The vehicle then turned east on Country Club Drive continuing to Whiteside drive where the vehicle crashed. The driver, Shelbi Nunn, 29, attempted to elude on foot and was detained approximately two blocks east of the crash. The passenger, Timothy George, 21, attempted to flee on foot and was detained near the crash. Both Nunn and George were arrested and taken the Good Samaritan Regional Hospital to be evaluated and treated for injuries sustained in the crash. Nunn and George were both later lodged at the Benton County Jail on warrants and local charges. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, November 4, 2023, at approximately 3:53 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injury at Highway 34, near milepost 35. A vehicle reportedly hydroplaned and crashed into a field. According to the caller, the driver was not responding normally. Deputies arrived and found a vehicle in the field on its top. The driver was being assessed by Alsea Fire Department personnel. An investigation was completed. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On November 2, 2023, at around 5:48 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of NE Azalea Dr for a report of criminal mischief. A juvenile reported that his juvenile neighbor had punched and broke a window on his house. Deputies later spoke with the reporting juvenile`s mother who declined to press charges against the offending juvenile. |
BURGLARY 1 - On November 2, 2023, deputies responded to the 3600 block of NW Highland Drive, Corvallis for a cold burglary. Deputies met with the resident who told them the burglary likely occurred on October 31, 2023 at about 10:00 p.m. His unlocked garage was entered and food was stolen along with a backpack and clothing. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 2, 2023, at about 8:57, deputies responded to MP 5 on NE Highway 20 in Corvallis for a single vehicle traffic crash. The driver told deputies he was driving east in his 2002 Acura, following a pickup truck. At that point a gravel truck turned east onto Highway 20 ahead of the pickup. He braked heavily and swerved to the right to avoid hitting the pickup truck. He was uninjured and his vehicle sustained front end damage from hitting a dirt embankment and large boulders protecting a power box. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 1st, 2023 at around 3:02 PM, deputies responded to a three vehicle non injury crash as West Hills Rd near Rosecrest Drive. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the driver of a Toyota Pickup. As he rounded the corner, he saw that traffic was backed up because someone was turning. He locked up his brakes trying to stop but his tires broke traction and he slid into the vehicle in front of him at an angle. His pickup slid off the roadway and glanced off a large steel power pole on the driver side, then crashed into a fence belonging to a residence in the 2800 block of West Hills Rd. The vehicle he rear-ended also jolted forward and hit the vehicle in front of it. The pickup was towed from the scene, the other two involved vehicles were drivable. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 31st, 2023, at about 8:15 a.m., deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash into a field at the intersection of Camp Adair Road and NW Independence Highway. There were no injuries and only a small amount of front-end damage to the vehicle. The field owner wasn`t concerned about the damage and didn`t want to report it to insurance. |

Deputies later determined an unknown person used a prybar to enter through the rear door damaging the door, door frame, and locking mechanism. They cut the lock off a file cabinet and riffled through it. Nothing obvious was stolen. |

WARRANT ARREST - On November 4, 2023, at about 11:50 PM, deputies contacted a female in a pickup for being illegally parked on Washburn Road near Highpass Road. The female, Jamie Montes, 47, had a confirmed Harrisburg Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear- Failure to Carry and Present a License. Jaime said she was ware she had the warrant because she lost her paperwork. Deputies issued Jaime a criminal citation in lieu of custody due to Linn County jail being full. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 4, 2023, at 3:17 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near Llewellyn Road in Corvallis for a single vehicle non-injury traffic crash. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the driver and solo occupant, who reported he was traveling northbound on Highway 99W when he blacked out and crashed into the ditch. He was not injured, and his vehicle was towed. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, November 4, 2023, at about 7:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Independence Highway. A driver was eastbound on Highway 20 attempting to pass another vehicle when he carelessly entered a left turn-only lane for Independence Highway. The driver swerved north to avoid a traffic island in his path and struck a guardrail. The driver was not injured, nor impaired. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 4, 2023 at 9:08 am, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Prairie Mountain Rd near MP 7. It was determined on November 3 at about 8 pm, a male was driving northbound on BLM 15-7-23RD. For an unknown reason, his vehicle left the road to west. The vehicle traveled about 5 feet down a steep embankment before being stopped by a stump. The male exited the vehicle and ended up falling about 30 feet down the embankment. He remained here until he was located the next morning. The male was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital for possible hyperthermia. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Tuesday, October 31st, 2023, at about 3:58 p.m., deputies responded to the 1700 block of NW Lewisburg Ave, Corvallis, for a burglary complaint. Sometime the previous night, a female entered an attached garage, ate some goldfish crackers, and slept on the couch. The female left her jacket when she left. Nothing was taken other than the consumed crackers. The identity of the female is unknown. |
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, October 30th, 2023, at about 5:50 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of N 3rd St, Alsea, Benton County, Oregon for a burglary complaint. Deputies contacted the reporting person who stated he his house and vehicle were entered, and items were taken. He stated he believes his ex-girlfriend did this. |
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Oct. 19, 2023 at approximately 10:33 am, IVERSON, Michael Keith, 59, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Contempt, bail $3,000. Iverson was lodged pending arraignment that day. Iverson was release by the court at arraignment with a future appearance date. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/18/2023 @ approximately 11:22 am, Perez, Jose Pablo, 34, turned himself into the jail on an FTA Warrant for FTA Criminal Driving while suspended or revoked. The warrant was located and cleared. A new court date and time was given to appear in court. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, October 16, 2023, at approximately 12:09 pm, deputies were dispatched to a trespass complaint in the 29000 block of Fish Hatchery Road. The trespass occurred on Saturday, October 14, 2023. A male, who was previously trespassed from the property, was reportedly back on the property. Deputies spoke to a residence, who showed deputies the various places on the property she saw him. Deputies spoke to the suspect and his parents, who said he was on a hunting property near Toledo at the time he was reported to be on hatchery property. |

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 11/3/2023 at around 2:00 PM, deputies arrived on a spur road off Green Peak Road. Deputies were told by a text that someone set up a camping spot on Hull Oakes property. Deputies found the camping spot and there was no one at the location. It was in the trees where you could not see it from the main road. Deputies left a card stating they were trespassing, and they needed to leave or they could be arrested for trespassing. On 11/5/2023 at around 3:45 PM, deputies checked on the camp and they were gone. |
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On November 3rd, 2023, a female called dispatch to report her 2009 Lexus was entered and items from inside the vehicle were thrown around. The vehicle was unlocked at the time so there was no damage. She told deputies her daughter used the vehicle the night of the incident and left it unlocked, parked in the driveway. She said she thought she heard someone outside at about 2:00 or 3:00 am on the 3rd. She said she muted the TV when she thought she heard something but didn`t hear anything else and did not go out to check. She said nothing was taken and the vehicle was not damaged. |

WARRANT ARREST - On November 3, 2023 at about 2:00 AM, deputies observed Troy Hoban, 53, walk into a convenient store located in the 2600 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis. Deputies noticed that Troy had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and issued him a citation in lieu of custody for the warrants. HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On November 2, 2023 at 3:20 pm, deputies spoke with a male at the Sheriff’s Office. He reported a female known to him hit him on the right side of his head, just above the ear. WILDLIFE OFFENSE - On 11/2/2023 at around 2:00 PM, deputies spoke with a male at his residence next to BLM Missouri Bend Park, about people illegally fishing for Chinook Salmon in the closed Alsea River, due to salmon spawning season. Deputies called an OSP Game Trooper and he told deputies they were aware of the issue and he had cited several people on 10/23/2023. Deputies told the male that OSP was also working on it, and BCSO would try to catch people illegally fishing during the closed season as well. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at approximately 6:18 pm, deputies were dispatched to a roadkill complaint on Highway 99W near Alpine Road. Two vehicles reportedly hit a deer which was still in the roadway. Deputies located the driver of one vehicle who already had help on the way. Deputies did not locate the other driver or the deer. |

LITTERING - On October 29th, 2023, at about 2:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Decker Road Milepost 2 near Philomath, for a report of a littering violation. Shortly after arriving on the scene, a female arrived and stated this was from cleaning her car and was unaware of how it got there. She cleaned up the mess and took the trash with her to throw away at an appropriate location. |
WARRANT ARREST; DWS MIS - On Monday, October 23, 2023, at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Cruise speeding through a marked school zone in front of Crescent Valley High School, on highland Boulevard, Corvallis. The driver was identified as Madison Crawford, 25. Crawford was later arrested for DWS Misdemeanor and on a state-wide felony warrant from Benton County a Circuit Court for FTA on Theft 1, a second warrant from Benton County Circuit Court for FTA on Theft 2 and 3, a warrant for FTA Larceny/Theft 3 out of Albany Municipal Court, and a warrant from Philomath Municipal Court for Contempt of Court DWS Misdemeanor. Crawford was issued a citation to appear before Albany Municipal Court and lodged at Benton County Jail on her Benton County Circuit Court and Philomath Municipal Court warrants. |
PERSON < 21 POSSESSING / CONSUMING MARIJUANA - On Monday, October 23, 2023, at approximately 12:45 PM, deputies responded to Crescent Valley High School at 4444 NW Highland Drive, Corvallis for a report of a student who was under the influence of marijuana on campus. The juvenile was arrested and cited to appear before the Benton County Juvenile Department. Green bud marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia was also seized and later entered into evidence. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/5/23, Nathan Joel Kelly, 47, reported in on warrant, was booked and held until court the following day and released with a court date and time. |

Reyna-Gutierrez, 32, lied about his name and was arrested for False Information to a Peace Officer and Failure to Carry and Present a Driver`s License. Reyna-Gutierrez`s was transported to the Marion County Jail on a Probation Violation after deputies contacted his probation officer. The front seat passenger Ryan Sampson, 27, was arrested on four outstanding warrants. Sampson was transported to the Polk County Jail and lodged. |
WARRANT ARREST - On November 1, 2023, at 9:28 PM, deputies observed a red 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 parked by the closed City Limits County Store on Highway 99W near Lewisburg Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies pulled up next to the Dodge and contacted the occupants. The driver, Juan Carlos Zavala, 31, had the following confirmed cite and release warrant for his arrest: Lebanon Municipal Court (Cite and Release), Theft III/ Contempt of Court, Bail $8,340.00. The front seat passenger Danielle Marie Mangrum, 43, had the following confirmed warrants for her arrest: Oregon State Parole Board (Full Custody) Parole Violation, Bail $00 and Albany Municipal Court (Cite and Release), Theft II, Bail $00. |

RECKLESS DRIVING - On Wednesday November 1, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 20 at mile post 40 on a vehicle traveling speeds in excess of 100 mph. Deputies identified the driver as Christopher Purnell, 19. Deputies issued Purnell a criminal citation for reckless driving and a citation for violations. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 31, 2023, at about 2:45, deputies were dispatched to a three vehicle non injury crash on Highway 34 at Grangehall Road. Vehicle two, A silver, 2018, KIA, was stopped in the west bound lane preparing to turn left onto Grangehall Road. Vehicle three, a silver, 2009, Jeep, was east bound and turning right onto Grangehall. Vehicle one, a silver, 2008, Ford SUV was driving west on Highway 34. Vehicle three rear ended vehicle two. Vehicle two was then pushed into the front of vehicle one. All vehicles were towed. All parties were wearing lap and shoulder seat belts. The only person who complained of pain or possible injury was the juvenile passenger in vehicle three. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 31st, 2023 at around 10:40 AM, deputies were driving through Avery Park looking for a particular vehicle in an unrelated matter when they observed Curtis Dorman, 20, near a broken down Honda. Dorman had two warrants, was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody, and provided a court date to appear. |
COERCION - On October 31, 2023, an out-of-town male reported receiving threats over the phone from people he texted with after responding to an add on backpage.com. The male stated he was looking for girls to "hang out with" while he was in town from Indiana. He subsequently was coerced into sending 100.00 via an ebay gift card. He stated the phone numbers all had Florida or New York area codes. Investigative leads regarding the phone number that posted the add have been exhausted. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 30th, 2023 at around 10:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to a road struck deer near NW Highland and NW Lester Ave. The deer was found deceased on the east side of NW Highland Dr directly in the middle between NW Wild Rose and NW Lester Ave. The driver struck the deer which caused damage to her radiator, leaving the vehicle inoperable. |

DWS MIS - On October 31st, 2023 at around 1:10 PM, deputies observed Donna Michelle Niemczak, 56, driving her 2000 Blue GMC Sonoma on Crystal Lake Drive. Deputies learned Niemczak`s license was suspended misdemeanor and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at SE Vica Way and SE Chester Ave. Deputies contacted Niemczak, who was subsequently issued a criminal citation for ORS. 811.182 - Driving while suspended misdemeanor. Additionally, Niemczak did not have insurance on the vehicle, and the registration had expired in 2021. So she also received traffic citations for ORS.806.010 Driving uninsured and ORS.803.300 Fail to register vehicle. |
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER ARREST WITHOUT WARRANT - On October 31st, 2023 at around 12:06 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a black Honda with expired vehicle registration in the parking lot of 621 Hickory Street. When the vehicle stopped, a male passenger attempted to quickly leave the vehicle. He was stopped and identified as Corey Lee Patrick, 35. Patrick was taken into custody for violating the terms of his no-contact release agreement. |
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - October 31, 2023 at 8:54 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog at large from the 4700 block of SW 53rd street in Corvallis to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was a three-legged standard poodle. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at about 8:15 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and Coffin Butte Road for a two-vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and determined a driver 1 drove her 2022 Toyota Rav4 into the north bound lane of travel on Highway 99W from Camp Adair Road causing driver 2 to crash into the front of her vehicle with his 1999 Honda Accord. Roadway evidence shows the primary area of impact was approximately 4 feet into the north bound lane of travel of Highway 99W indicating driver 1 failed to yield the right of way to driver 2. No injuries. |
DWS MIS - On Tuesday October 31, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Silver 2008 Mazda 6 at Pickford Street and Leonard Street. After confirming the driver was Zachery Shinall, 25, deputies arrested him for driving while suspended misdemeanor. Shinall was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody and given verbal warnings for violations. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 31, 2023, at about 12:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on NW Sulphur Springs Road near NW Soap Creek Road. Deputies arrived and found a silver 2016 Toyota Carolla off the roadway on the north side of Sulphur Springs Road. The driver stated he swerved to miss a deer while driving North on Sulphur Springs Road. He said he over corrected, resulting in the car sliding off the roadway, and rolling down the embankment. He and his passenger were both uninjured and declined medical attention. Deputies explained the DMV crash form to the driver and informed him they would need to speak with the registered owner of the incident. The Carolla was towed. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday October 30, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a dark-colored Chevrolet Cruize. After identifying the driver and passenger Madison Crawford, 25, deputies learned Crawford had a fail to appear warrant for probation violation theft 3 out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Deputies issued Crawford a criminal citation in lieu of custody with a court date Linn County provided. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 29th, 2023, at about 10:17 a.m., Kevin Fuller, 60, and Michael Ridders, 51, were arrested for outstanding warrants at Takena Landing Park in Albany. Both were cited and released. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; HARASSMENT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Wednesday October 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 39100 block of Mary`s River Road, Blodgett. The person reporting stated Joslyn King, 21, was at his residence destroying his property after being told to leave. Once deputies arrived and spoke to both parties, King was arrest and taken to the Benton County Jail. King was not lodged but issued criminal citations and a no contact release agreement. Deputies later gave King a courtesy ride back to her residence. |

WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 30th, 2023, at about 4:16 p.m., deputies responded to the 2000 block of NW 9th St, Corvallis, for a trespass complaint. It was reported that Laila Rain, 58, was causing an issue in the 2000 block of NW 9th St, Corvallis and exposing herself. Dispatch advised Laila had a confirmed warrant for her arrest out of Corvallis Municipal Court for Violent Conduct (Corvallis Municipal Code) Deputies issued Laila a citation for her warrant. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 30, 2023 at approximately 2:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Alpine Rd near Kyle Rd. When deputies arrived, they located a sedan which appeared to have driven into the ditch, rolled, and came to a stop in some blackberries. The driver was not on scene. |
LITTERING - On Sunday, October 29th, 2023, at about 5:17 p.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of Heritage Hills Dr, Philomath, for a littering complaint. It was described that a Uhaul truck with "Chucky" doll strapped to the grill, dumped two couches on private property. Deputies recognized the Uhaul truck from the Brett Logsdon concert the night before. Deputies contacted Brett who said his "help" must have tried to save some money and dumped the couches. Brett sent two of his other helpers to pick up the couches. The identities of the ones who dumped the couches are unknown. The reporting person did not wish to pursue charges because the couches were removed. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On October 23rd, 2023, at about 12:29 p.m., deputies received a call about reports of a suspicious person near the 2600 block of NW Sulphur Springs Road. It was reported a man riding a mountain bike stopped and grabbed the reins of a man’s horse and began cursing at him. There is no suspect information at this time. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 18, 2023, around 5:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a homeowner about a trespass that occurred at one his rental properties in the 400 block of Fir Street, Monroe. He stated a transient-looking male in his underwear came onto his property and checked to see if the doors were unlocked. There is probable cause to arrest Matthew Michael Walsh for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Walsh is listed as a transient in Junction City. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 16, 2023, at about 11:45 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Black Toyota Sienna van on Highway 20, near North Albany Road for speeding. Deputies contacted the driver, Stephanie Smith, 50, who returned with a suspended license and a confirmed Washington County Circuit court warrant for Contempt of Court. Stephanie was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail, where she was processed. |

WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday October 29, 2023, deputies contacted Kelly Chorlton, 34, riding her bike on 13th Street and Chapel Drive in Philomath. After identifying Kelly, deputies were informed via dispatch that she had two unconfirmed misdemeanor warrants. Lebanon Municipal Court and Linn County Justice Court both provided new court dates for Kelly. After issuing and explaining the citations, deputies departed the area. |
MAIL THEFT - On October 27, 2023 at around 10:27 am, deputies spoke with a resident via telephone, regarding his mail being stolen on October 21, 2023 in the 600 block of N 3rd St, Monroe. The resident did not know of anything being delivered and was unsure what was taken |
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 9:00 AM, deputies were patrolling near Takena Landing, Albany, where they located Scott Eugene Medford, 45. Medford was later arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for a Parole Violation and an Albany Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt of Court / Interfering with a Police Officer. Medford was issued a citation in lieu of custody for his Albany Municipal Court warrant and transported and lodged at the Linn County Jail on his parole board warrant. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 27, 2023, at 9:31 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Garden Avenue in Corvallis for a Non-Injury Traffic Crashed. Driver 1 was traveling westbound on Highway 20. Driver 2 was traveling westbound on Highway and waiting to make a left turn onto Garden Avenue. Driver 1 did not see Driver 2 stopped and crashed into the back of her vehicle. No injuries occurred and both vehicles were towed due to damage. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, October 27, 2023, at approximately 10:15 AM, deputies were patrolling Monroe, where they located Toni McKinnon, 65. McKinnon was later arrested on a warrant out of Lincoln County Circuit Court for Animal Neglect. McKinnon was issued a citation in lieu of custody with a court date for her warrant. |
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On Thursday, October 26, 2023 at about 9:45 A.M., deputies were assisting with a multi-agency Sex Offender compliance check throughout Benton County. Deputies located registered Sex Offender Nikolai Joseph Leahy, 37, at his last Sex Offender registration address in the 1400 block of Applegate St, Philomath. Nikolai is a registered Sex Offender but had not updated his registration as a Sex Offender since 05/04/2022 (more than 1 year and past his birthday). Based on his status as a Sex Offender and his lack of updating his Sex Offender registration, deputies cited Nikolai for Failing to register as a Sex Offender (ORS 163A.040). |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 25, 2023 at 3:00 pm, deputies spoke with a tow truck driver who explained on 10/24/2023, he performed a AAA Tow on a vehicle at NE Granger Ave in the S curves. The vehicle had damaged a temporary 2-strand electric fence, on the east side of the road. Deputies later contacted the driver who stated at approximately 3:15 pm, she had pulled into an address in the 1400 block of NE Granger Ave to retrieve a cell phone that fell on the floorboard. While backing out, she slid into the east ditch. She said she wasn`t aware the fence had been damaged. Deputies contacted the owner of the fence to assist with required information exchange. |
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On October 24th, 2023, deputies arrested DAKOTA TYLER EWING, 23, for driving while suspended misdemeanor and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants after a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Priest Road. |
MENACING; UNLAW USE OF WEAPON - On Thursday, October 19th, 2023, at approximately 7:36 AM, deputies were dispatched to a reported menacing in the 4800 block of NE Highway 20, in Corvallis. Dispatch reported shots had been fired. Deputies arrived and took Mark Huggins, 56, into custody. The investigation uncovered that during a civil repossession of property, Mark had shot a firearm and menaced others on scene with it. Mark was booked into the Benton County Jail for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Menacing. |
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On October 16, 2023, around 3:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash without injuries in the 19600 block of Highway 34, Alsea. It was reported a vehicle had flipped and crashed while executing a turn near Honeygrove Lane and lost control. When deputies arrived, they spoke with the driver of the 2005 Subaru Impala who said me he was traveling eastbound to Philomath when he took the corner too fast and lost control. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, October 24th, 2023, at about 5:19 p.m., deputies responded to the area of 200 SW 53rd St, Corvallis, for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. Upon arriving, they contacted a male who said he exchanged information with the other driver involved and she had already left. The male’s vehicle was drivable with rear-end damage. He was advised to report the crash to DMV within 72 business hours. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 23, 2023 at around 8:01 AM, deputies responded to a non-injury vehicle crash at HWY 99W and Arboretum Rd. The driver struck a deer and damaged her vehicle rendering it inoperable. Deputies waited on scene until a tow truck arrived to remove the vehicle from the roadway. |
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On October 22nd, 2023 at around 1:07 PM, deputies were southbound on HWY 20 near Circle when they observed a Silver Chrysler 200 cross over the center divider line, failing to maintain its lane. Deputies made a traffic stop on the vehicle at 2nd Street and Tyler Ave. Deputies determined the driver, Henry Torrence, 50, was out of compliance with his sex offender registration. Torrence was issued a criminal citation for ORS.163A.040 (Felony). After issuing the citation to appear, Torrence was released. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 18th, 2023 at around 9:21 AM, deputies observed a Toyota Echo traveling Northbound on HWY 99W from Monroe. Deputies followed the vehicle and ran the license plate, which showed the registered owner, Kaytlin Maixner, 34, had an active Linn County Justice Court warrant for her arrest, for a probation violation DWS Misdemeanor. Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at SW 3rd Street and Rivergreen Ave. Deputies determined Kaytlin Maixner, was the passenger of the vehicle. Maixner was placed her under arrest transported to the Benton County Jail. |
FORGERY 2 - On October 15th, 2023 at around 2:08 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a black 1996 Honda Civic near the entrance of Takena Landing at 600 NW HWY 20, Albany. Deputies contacted the driver, Corey Dean, 49. When Dean provided deputies with his documents, deputies identified the insurance card as being a forged document. Dean was later issued a criminal citation for ORS.165.007 Forgery in the second degree, and ORS. 806.010 Driving uninsured. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, October 21, 2023, at approximately 1:00 PM, deputies responded to the parking lot at the Benton County Fairgrounds after a passerby reported a possible hit and run. A GMC Yukon had backed into a Tesla sedan. Upon arrival, the registered owners of both vehicles involved had exchanged information and were not in need of law enforcement assistance. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, October 20, 2023 at around 12:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash at Highway 99 W and Coffin Butte Rd, Corvallis. Deputies arrived and located a single crashed vehicle on the highway off the west shoulder of Highway 99 just south of Coffin Butte. This vehicle, a black 2007 Honda Accord, was operated by a female who was not injured. While driving south on Highway 99, the female swerved to miss a dump truck that pulled in front of her and hit a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 99 and Coffin Butte causing her front bumper to detach and deflate her left front tire. The truck driver was not injured and said he did not see the Honda when he crossed Highway 99 from East to West. The truck was never impacted during the crash; however, him crossing the highway caused the accident. |
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On October 17th, 2023 at around 8:37 AM, deputies were dispatched to a cold hit and run in the 100 block of Main Street, Alsea. Deputies spoke with the resident who said that sometime during the night a vehicle had run over their mailbox and two additional mailboxes belonging to her children who also live nearby, totaling a sum of $120 in damages. |
RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 9, 2023, at about 8:50 PM, deputies stopped a light-colored Toyota Corolla passing cars traveling east at a high rate of speed on Hwy 20 at Scenic and arrested the driver, Johnathan Sullivan, 19, for Reckless Driving. Sullivan was issued him a criminal citation and released. |

FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Sunday, October 22, 2023, deputies contacted Blake Petersen, 33, lying down on the basketball court area of Philomath Middle School. After identifying Blake, deputies learned he had a fail to appear warrant for probation violation for a DUII through Lebanon Municipal Court. Lebanon provided a new court date and time for Blake. Blake was issued a citation in lieu of custody. |
THEFT 2; POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 2; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at about 5:00 pm, deputies saw Coridus Clay Gentry, 20, attempting to take an electric scooter that was locked to a bicycle rack on NW Jackson Avenue near NW 4th Street in Corvallis. Deputies later arrested Gentry for Attempted Theft in the Second Degree and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant. Gentry was issued a citation for violation Possession of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance and taken to the Benton County Jail on his criminal charges. |
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; ESCAPE 2; FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - On October 21, 2023, at 4:26 PM, deputies located suspect James Whipps, 35, at his camp under the 4th Street Bridge. Whipps attempted to run towards Mary`s River again. Whipps was taken into custody by deputies. Whipps had a confirmed statewide Felony Parole Board Warrant for Sexual Assault, No bail. Whipps was a registered sex offender for a felony sex crime. Whipps was out of compliance and the last registered on April 29, 2022. Whipps was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged. |
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On October 20, 2023, at 7:37 PM, deputies attempted to stop a white male adult in his 30`s, wearing a black hat, grey jacket, black pants and riding an electric scooter with a bike trailer, for no light. The male went the wrong direction down 3rd Street from Twin Oakes to avoid deputies. The male went down to the Mary`s River on the bike path and jumped into the river. The male swam away, and deputies were unable to locate him without going into the river. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 20, 2023, at 3:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to Greenberry Road near milepost 2 in Corvallis for a single vehicle non-injury crash. The driver was traveling westbound on Greenberry Road when she fell asleep and crashed into a ditch. No injuries were reported and her vehicle was towed. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 20, 2023 at around 7:05 am, deputies were dispatched to Hoskins Rd and Alexander Road for a reported hit and run. A school bus was traveling down Hoskins Road when a log truck traveling the opposite direction clipped the mirror of the bus. There were no injuries. The bus only sustained damage to the side mirror. The driver of the log truck did not stop; it is believed to not have known the accident occurred. |

One warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for contempt of court and one out of Philomath Municipal Court for fail to comply with a reckless driving charge. Deputies cited and released Carnahan per both issuing agency`s requests. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 17th, 2023 at around 12:25 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop at first street and Van Buren Avenue on a red Geo Prizm. The driver was identified as Rachelle Rictor, 32, and deputies determined she had an active Marion County Circuit Court warrant for failing to appear on a theft II charge. Rictor was placed in custody and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked on her warrant. Rictor was additionally issued traffic citations for ORS.803.560 - Improper display of registration stickers (Expired). ORS.811.175 - Driving while suspended violation and ORS.806.010 Driving uninsured. |

RECKLESS ENDANGERING; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at about 4:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of a recklessly driven vehicle. A caller reported seeing a black Dodge Ram pickup drive recklessly and almost cause a crash on Highway 20 near SW Moore Drive in Newport. Deputies later arrested the driver of the pickup, Amber Elizabeth McGuigan, 42, in Philomath for Reckless Driving and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. McGuigan was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 15th, 2023 at about 2:38 pm, deputies stopped Michael Konkolis, 36, in a black 2007 Lincoln Navigator for expired tags at 53rd Street and Harrison Blvd. Deputies learned from dispatch that Konkolis was DWS-Misdemeanor and had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest out of Linn County Justice Court for DWS-Misdemeanor, Linn County Justice Court DWS-Misdemeanor. Konkolis was cited and released. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 10, 2023, around 6:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of 5400 Plymouth Drive, Philomath, for a single motor vehicle crash. It was reported a white Honda Pilot had crashed into the ditch and was blocking traffic. The driver said he took the corner too fast, lost control, over-corrected, and slid into the ditch. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at about 10:12 p.m., deputies contacted a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Hwy 20 and Hwy 223, Philomath, Benton County, Oregon. The driver fled and was located via a drone and K9 after he trespassed at the Wren Cemetery. Richard John Nagle, 43, was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 10/14/2023 at approximately 6:00 P.M., deputies happened across a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. Both drivers were contacted and neither were injured. They contact a vehicle and the driver identified himself with his Oregon ID card. The passenger identified herself as Kaitlyn Jane Daniel, 23. Dispatch advised Daniel had a warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for Trespass in the Second Degree. Deputies issued the driver a traffic citation for Driving While Suspended and issued Daniel a criminal citation for her warrant. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday October 18, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Blue 2019 Dodge Challenger and identified the driver as Jared Wolfe, 24. Dispatch advised that Wolfe had a Benton County Oregon circuit court warrant FTA reckless driving. Deputies later issued Wolfe a criminal citation with a new court date in lieu of custody. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, at about 5:03 p.m., deputies responded to the area 37800 Soap Creek Rd, Benton County, for an injury motorcycle crash. A rider was traveling south on Soap Creek Rd negotiating a left 90-degree corner. He was going a little too fast and went wide into the gravel. He skidded into the gravel and crashed along a fence; he was transported to the hospital for his injury |

WARRANT ARREST - On October 17th, 2023 at around 11:44 AM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a blue colored Honda Civic at 3rd Street near Mayberry. The registered owner, Jesse James Birky, 28, had an active cite and release warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for DUII. Birky was subsequently issued citation to appear on his warrant and released. |

WARRANT ARREST - On October 15th, 2023 at around 11:35 AM, deputies contacted Bryanah Tranilla, 30, in the parking lot at the Sunset Village Apartments located at 333 Hickory Street. While obtaining Bryanah Tranilla’s identification, she told deputies she believed she had a cite and release Sweet Home Municipal Warrant. Her warrant was confirmed and she was subsequently cited in lieu of custody. |
DWS MIS - On Sunday October 15, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white 2000 Ford Mustang on circle Boulevard near Highway 99 W. Deputies contacted the driver, Heather Monson, 43. Deputies later learned that Monson was driving while suspended misdemeanor and deputies issued her a criminal citation in lieu of custody. |
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On Saturday October 14, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Green 2001 GMC Sierra on Highway 20 near mile post 37. After learning the identity of the driver, Kristin Duncan, 34, deputies found out via dispatch that Duncan was out of compliance on her sex offender registry. Deputies issued Duncan a criminal citation in lieu of custody and departed the area. |
UUV - On October 14, 2023 at 11:18 am, a male reported his vehicle was stolen from Marys Peak RD near milepost 3 at around 3:30 am. The vehicle was described as a Blue 2006 Volvo V50 (wagon). The registered owner signed the stolen vehicle report. No suspect info at this time. |
DOG AT LARGE - On Friday, October 13, 2023, at approximately 12:00, deputies responded to the 700 block of Marlyn Drive, Philomath for a dog at large. The dog was caught and transported to Heartland Humane Shelter for the owner to pick it up. |

THEFT 3 - On October 12, 2023, at around 6:23 pm, deputies observed a small front-end loader with a load of gravel in its bucket traveling west on Alpine Rd a couple hundred yards away from the Benton County gravel piles. Randy Younger, 42, told deputies he scooped the gravel from the side because he thought it was extra. Younger admitted taking one previous load of gravel, but deputies found at least five separate scrape scars. Younger was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Theft in the 3rd degree. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; LITTERING - On October 12, 2023, at around 4:42 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Williams Rd for a reported littering violation. A resident reported finding dumped garbage along the road on his property. The garbage has been there for around 1 1/2 weeks. Inside the garbage, he found a sealed envelope from the Oregon DMV addressed to a residence in Eugene, Or. Deputies were unable to locate the resident for further questioning. |

Daniel Hardy, 21, located in the Probation and Parole Office had a warrant for his arrest. Deputies arrived and issued Daniel a misdemeanor citation with an updated court date. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at approximately 8:58 am, deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of NE Garden Avenue for a report of criminal mischief. According to dispatch notes, someone was "spinning out" in the parking lot, making ruts in the gravel. Deputies contacted a female who provided information about the vehicle involved. Deputies contacted the owner of the vehicle, who agreed to help clean up the gravel. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, October 8, 2023, at about 8:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of gunshots heard north of Adair. Deputies drove through all the northern neighborhoods of Adair and along Adair Frontage Road and did not hear or see any signs of distress, and I did not hear any additional gunshots. |
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On October 8, 2023, around 5:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of 1800 Allen Street, on the railroad tracks, for a camping complaint. It was reported there was a new transient camp near that location with constant transient activity coming to and from the camp. The female initially gave deputies a fake name of Fern Elizabeth Hunter. When Megan Elizabeth Williamson, 39, gave the correct name, she had a warrant out of Colorado for Assault 1. Deputies transported Williamson to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged. |

PROPERTY, FOUND - On October 6, 2023 at 8:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Courthouse for a report of an abandoned bicycle. Deputies located and seized a Gary Fisher bicycle and Burley trailer. Inside the trailer was a red backpack with an ID belonging to a local male. All items were entered into evidence. |
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; VIOL OF OPEN CONTAINER LAW; VEH ABANDONED - On Sunday, October 1, 2023, at approximately 8:45 AM, deputies were patrolling Highway 99W near Monroe, Oregon when they located a silver Chevrolet Impala with extensive damage in a field at the intersection of Highway 99W and Alpine Cutoff Road. Bryson Nash, 19, was later arrested and cited for failure to perform the duties of a driver - property damage, and a violation of open container law. |
IDENTITY THEFT - On October 12, 2023, at 11:19 am, deputies spoke with a male by phone who explained that at the beginning of September he received a Verizon sim card in the mail. He contacted Verizon and found out someone had used his personal information to open an account. The current amount due on the account is $150. To close this fraudulent account, Verizon required a police case number. No suspect information was available. Deputies provided him a case number and recommended he obtain a credit report to ensure no further fraudulent activity. |
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On October 10, 2023 at 9:07 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog at large from the corner of Circle Blvd/Hwy 20 to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog had an identification tag and the shelter staff contacted the owner. |
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT – On October 12, 2023, a dog owner residing in the 24600 block of Penland Drive in Philomath was given a written warning for his dog running at large, onto a neighbor`s driveway and killing two chickens. The chicken owner wanted the dog owners given a warning. They will have a citation issued if it happens again. |
ASSAULT 4 - On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at approximately 8:39 am, deputies were dispatched to a juvenile complaint in the 2000 block of NE Seavey Avenue. According to dispatch notes, a juvenile assaulted their mother and grandmother. An investigation was completed and the juvenile was cited for Assault IV. |
ASSAULT 4 - On Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, at approximately 9:13 AM, deputies responded to a reported juvenile complaint at Crescent Valley High School. A male juvenile was reported to have slapped another student. Deputies arrived and issued a citation for Assault IV. |
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 26, 2023, deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 99W south of NW Lewisburg Ave in Corvallis. Vehicle (1) was stopped in traffic in the northbound lane, was rear ended. Vehicle (2) had just stopped in traffic in the northbound lane directly behind the first involved vehicle. Vehicle (3) was last in line and failed to stop. The driver of vehicle three rear-ended vehicle two, which rear-ended vehicle one. None of the drivers were transported via ambulance. |
POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); DWS MIS - On Sunday, September 25th, 2023, at approximately 12:05 AM, deputies contacted several vehicles at a gas station, located in the 1200 block of SE 3rd Street. Deputies contacted Brandon Dean Herbert, 44, who was had a suspended driver’s license. Brandon was arrested and found to be in possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Brandon was cited in lieu of custody for DWS-Misdemeanor and Possession of Methamphetamine. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at approximately 2:25 pm, deputies were driving through the parking lot at Avery Park at 1500 SW Avery Park Drive when they saw a gold Honda Accord with front end damage. While contacting one of the occupants, deputies saw the license plate on the dashboard of the vehicle, covering the VIN. The occupant, Curtis Dorman, 20, was cited for a warrant. |
BCSO ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On 10/09/2023, deputies were dispatched to Heartland Human Society in Corvallis to assist with a recovered lost dog. The dog, an extremely friendly Golden Retriever, was left in the care of Humane Society staff. |

IDENTITY THEFT - On October 9, 2023, deputies contacted a male transient behind the 500 block of NW Monroe Ave. The male gave consent to search for his backpack and told deputies he had someone else`s ID card. Deputies later located an Oregon driver’s license and Wells Fargo debit card for another male. Deputies attempted to contact the male and left him a message. Deputies released the transient without citations. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 9th, 2023, deputies arrested JACOB ANTHONY GULICK, 30, on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Albany Police Department for Failure to appear on a property damage charge after a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Lilly Hill Road. Gulick was cited and released. |
RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 9, 2023, at about 12:00 AM, deputies were patrolling North Albany in a marked patrol car when they saw a red late 1990`s Toyota Celica accelerate at a high rate of speed from the traffic light on Highway 20 and North Albany Road. Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a silver 2000 Honda Civic after it appeared to be street racing with the Toyota at Highway 20 near Independence Highway. The Toyota turned North on Independence Highway and additional deputies were unable to locate it. After speaking with the driver of the Honda, it appeared the Toyota was involved in a road rage incident possibly in Albany. Deputies warned the driver of the Honda for the traffic violations and provided information how to properly handle incidents related in the future. |
WARRANT ARREST; PAROLE VIOLATION - On Thursday, October 5th, 2023, at approximately 8:39 AM, deputies responded to the 200 block of SW Twin Oaks Circle for a report of a wanted person, Kaleb Burington, 46, inside the trailer. Kaleb was contacted inside the trailer, arrested, and transported to the jail. He was then taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center for medical clearance. Kaleb was cited on a misdemeanor warrant and provided a release agreement for the felony warrant. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 4, 2023, around 6:2 0PM, deputies were in the area of 3rd Street, near Rivergreen Avenue, Corvallis, when they were flagged down by a citizen near two motorcycles. Deputies were told one of the motorcycle riders had crashed his motorcycle and was injured. Deputies saw the rider seated on the sidewalk with gauze on his forehead and was covered in blood. The rider had a large gash on his hand, road rash on his arms and torso, and was a large gash on his forehead. The rider told deputies he did not need medical attention and refused transport by medics. |
THEFT 3 - On October 4, 2023, at around 5:28 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of NW Highway 20 for a reported theft. The caller reported that on October 3 at around 5:40 pm an unknown man entered the farm stand and stole $8 from a tip jar. |
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 4, 2023, I was dispatched to 525 NW Monroe Avenue, Corvallis for a disturbance. The person reporting stated he felt threatened by Patricia Compton, 43, who was in his apartment. Deputies arrived and later learned Compton had an Albany Municipal Court warrant and Corvallis Municipal Court warrant. Deputies arrested Compton and later issued her criminal citations in lieu of custody before releasing her. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 2, 2023, around 4:45 PM, deputies were informed of a non-injury motor vehicle crash in the 3200 block of 60th Street, Corvallis. It was reported by the Corvallis Fire Department that a McHenry`s Funeral Home vehicle had backed into a fire apparatus while leaving a death investigation. The driver of the McHenry`s vehicle said he was attempting to back out of the driveway in reverse and crashed into the bumper of the fire apparatus. There was not any obvious damage to the fire vehicle and the damage to the McHenry’s vehicle was less than $2,500. |

An employee approached deputies and told them salmon carcasses had been dumped in a nearby parking lot. He did not know who dumped them. Deputies took photos of the fish and forwarded the information to ODF&W. |
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On 10/04/2023 at approximately 9:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance in the 27100 block of Hubbard Road in Monroe. Upon arrival, deputies found an unoccupied vehicle with no one around. Deputies contacted the reporting party by phone and explained the vehicle was unoccupied. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, October 4, at approximately 3:27 pm, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury motor vehicle crash at Ryals Avenue and Arnold Avenue. A bus was reportedly rear-ended. An investigation was completed. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at approximately 2:40 pm, deputies were driving a marked patrol car on Highway 34 near Greasy Creek Road. Deputies saw a gold Chevy Suburban in a parking lot in the 23300 block of Greasy Creek Road. No one was around the vehicle. The vehicle had wires hanging from the steering column, the VIN was covered by a razor blade, and the rear of the Suburban contained brand new-looking tools and other items still in their packaging or with manufacturer stickers on them. Deputies left due to a higher priority call and the Suburban was gone when they returned. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 CRIME DAMAGE - On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at approximately 9:32 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of criminal mischief at Crescent Valley High School at 4444 NW Highland Drive. A student reportedly found the fuel door on their vehicle open and thought the gas tank had been tampered with. The student told deputies they did not know who opened the fuel door. Staff at the school told deputies the incident was not caught on their cameras, but several other cars had also been tampered with. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 29th, 2023 at about 5:15 pm, deputies responded to the 30000 block of Bellfountain Rd for a report of a non-injury crash. Deputies were in the area and pulled up minutes after the crash. Deputies made contact with both drivers of the vehicles outside their vehicles. One of the drivers told deputies he was at fault. He said he was traveling north bound on Bellfountain Rd and he stopped as he pulled over to the side of the road to turn around and turned in front of another vehicle while she was northbound on Bellfountain Rd. The driver at fault, who said he checked his mirrors before starting to turn around but did not see the other vehicle. The other driver said she was traveling no more than 35 mph, northbound when the driver at fault turned in front of her. Both drivers were wearing lap/shoulder belts at the time of the crash. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 29th, 2023 at about 11:19 am, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Hwy 34 west of Fish Hatchery Rd east of Alsea. Deputies located the crashed vehicle upside down over the embankment on the north side of the highway. There was no one inside the car when deputies arrived. Deputies met up with the three people from the car as they were walking back to the crash site. No one was injured in the crash. The driver told deputies he was going too fast and the vehicle possibly hydroplaned, losing control of the steering, driving over the embankment and slowly rolling over. All were wearing lap/shoulder belts. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was later removed from its resting location and towed. |
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 3:15 PM, I responded to Crescent Valley High School, 4444 NW Highland Drive, Corvallis for a juvenile male pushing a juvenile female and grabbing her arm leaving bruises on it. The juvenile male was later arrested for harassment and issued a citation to appear at the Benton County Juvenile Department. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 24th, 2023, at about 3:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 30600 block of Peterson Road in Philomath, Oregon, for a hit-and-run report. A driver reported her Ford Bronco was hit by a man driving an older-style truck, and the man left the scene without exchanging insurance information. A suspect was identified as the driver of the truck and provided all his information to the driver. |
ASSAULT 4 - On 10/05/2023 at approximately 5:59 pm, deputies were dispatched to a physical domestic in the 20300 block of Sturgis Ln in Alsea. Prior to law enforcement arrival Jonathan Dodson, 35, left in a white Subaru. Deputies located Dodson, brought him back to the residence, and interviewed two adults on scene and developed probable cause to arrest Jonathan Dodson for Assault IV. Dodson was lodged at the Benton County Jail. |
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On October 5, 2023 at 11:48 am, deputies met with a female at the Law Enforcement Center who reported being the victim of an online Microsoft scam. Deputies provided her with several recommendations to monitor her credit report and prevent becoming a victim of further scams. |
MAIL THEFT - On October 4, 2023, at around 3:57 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 30800 block of Botkin Rd for a reported mail theft. The resident reported he had not received mail since September 29th, despite the US Post Office telling him they had delivered mail. Deputies advised the resident about future fraud attempts and to contact his financial institutions. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 3, 2023, at around 9:04 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of NE Granger Ave for an unknown problem. A male reported an unknown problem with "blood and guts". Deputies arrived, found no emergency, and determined the caller was using controlled substances and experiencing mental health issues. During the incident deputies arrested Matthew Rowen, 40, for multiple felony warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On October 2, 2023, at about 8:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a trespass complaint in the 200 block of NE Azelea Drive, in Adair Village. Deputies spoke to a resident who stated a neighbor knocked on his door, accusing his child of biting their kid on the bus. He stated the mother was very animated and was "causing a scene". He told the neighbor that she can deal with the school with investigating the alleged biting between the two seven-year-olds. He only wanted the incident documented and did not wish to pursue with charges. |
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; CRIMINAL MISTREATMENT 1; RESISTING ARREST; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - On October 2, 2023, at around 6:06 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of NE Azalea Dr for a reported physical domestic disturbance. Deputies later arrested Roberta Gleason, 33, for Criminal mistreatment, resisting arrest, and recklessly endangering another person. Deputies also arrested Delvis George Sr, 37, for attempted assault on a public safety officer and interfering with a peace officer. Gleason and George were both transported to the Benton County Jail where they were lodged. |
POSS STOLEN VEHICLE - On 10/02/2023 at approximately 6:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Arnold Avenue in Adair for a report of a recklessly driven vehicle. After deputies located the vehicle, they ran the associated license plate through their dispatch center. The vehicle returned as stolen out of Klamath City, Oregon. A high-risk traffic stop was performed on the vehicle. The driver, Vincent Catanzaro, 27, was taken into custody without incident. Catanzaro was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and later booked and released from the Benton County Jail. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 10/02/2023 at approximately 3:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to SW 53rd Street and SW Willow Avenue in Corvallis for a three vehicle non-injury crash. None of the involved parties were injured and only one vehicle was towed from the scene. No citations were issued. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 30, 2023 at 10:55 am, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover traffic crash on Highway 223 near MP 24. Deputies contacted a witness who stated she was northbound on Highway 223 following behind the vehicle that crashed. She stated the driver entered the east ditch and overcorrected to the left. As the vehicle come out of the ditch and back onto the highway, it began to roll. The vehicle rolled into the west ditch where it crashed through a fence. The driver arranged for their own tow company to remove the vehicle from the scene. Deputies later provided the owner of the fence with insurance information to file a claim. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 29, 2023, at about 1:05 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle for expired registration on Harrison Boulevard and 7th Street in Corvallis. Deputies contacted the female driver who provided her name, Bryanah Tranilla, 30, and informed deputies she had a suspended license. Bryanah also had two confirmed warrants. First was a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant for Failure to Appear for Theft 3, second was a confirmed Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for Failure to Appear for Theft 3. Bryanah was issued citations in lieu of custody and released. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 26th, 2023, at about 8:18 am, deputies took a report of a suspicious circumstance in the 100 block of NE Azalea Drive in Adair Village, Oregon. A resident called to report that she and several other neighbor`s mailboxes had been left open. No known mail had been taken and there are no cameras in the area. |
LITTERING - On Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 2:30 PM, a resident on S 7th Street in Monroe, Oregon contacted deputies at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office substation in Monroe to report a neighbor throwing pet feces in their yard. Deputies spoke with multiple households in the neighborhood who all acknowledged that pet feces were a problem in their neighborhood and understood the proper method of disposal rather than throwing them in the street and in other people`s yards. |
THEFT 1 - On September 25th, 2023, at about 11:00 am, a male called to report a piece of farming equipment described as a "roller" was stolen near his property in the 28900 block of E Ingram Island Road in Monroe, Oregon. The roller was valued at $2,000. There are no suspects. |
HARASSMENT PHONE - On Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 11:00 AM, deputies contacted a male by phone regarding his friend repeatedly calling him and making threats to harm him or his family. He was concerned his friend was suffering from a behavioral health crisis, which was later confirmed through a phone call with the friend. At the caller’s request, deputies informed the friend to no longer contact the caller by phone or other electronic means. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, September 24, 2023, at about 12:00 am, a staff member at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis reported a male was refusing to leave the emergency department after having been trespassed from the building earlier in the day. Deputies removed him from the hospital and gave him a courtesy ride to his camp in the area of 1405 NW 9th Street in Corvallis. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 20, 2023, deputies responded to a single vehicle roll over crash on Highway 20 near NW Rondo St. A driver was traveling eastbound in his 1996 Ford, F350, when he drove off the roadway and then over corrected. The vehicle traveled across the west bound lane of travel into the northern ditch. The vehicle then rolled. The driver refused transport after being evaluated by Albany EMT`s. |
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On Saturday, September 16, 2023, at approximately 9:50 AM, deputies responded to the 100 block of S 7th Street, Monroe for a domestic disturbance. Two residents had engaged in what amounted to a shoving match in the residence before one left to calm down. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On September 28, 2023 at 10:05 am, deputies were dispatched to the Mount Union Cemetery located on Mount Union Ave, Philomath. An employee reported an unknown subject had toppled over a granite headstone. The incident was believed to have occurred on or before September 25. No suspect information was available |
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On September 27, 2023 2:08 p.m., a stray tan chihuahua was transported from 200 SW 53rd street to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was very skittish. He was not wearing a collar nor was he micro chipped. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/25/2023 at approximately 5:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near Milepost 58 for a report of a motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries. The two involved drivers were already out of their vehicles when deputies arrived, and neither was injured. One driver was issued a traffic citation of ORS 811.485 Following Too Closely. Both drivers cooperated with the crash investigation and one vehicle was later towed from the scene. |
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 11:19 am, deputies were dispatched to Beazell Park on Kings Valley Highway for a theft from a motor vehicle. A man reportedly had his vehicle broken into and wallet taken while attending an event at the park. He sent deputies photos of the damage to his vehicle. Deputies checked the park for evidence and did not find any. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; LITTERING - On September 22, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 4800 block of NW Crescent Valley Dr for a report of trespassing and offensive littering. A resident reported someone dumped a couch and washing machine in a field he owns. He provided deputies two photographs from a trail camera showing a white GMC Sierra entering his property towing a trailer at about 2:08 pm. The couch and washing machine can be seen on this trailer. The vehicle is seen leaving three minutes later. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 20, 2023, at about 4:09 pm, deputies were dispatched to a crash in the 24800 block of Dawson Road. A female was traveling south on Reese Creek Road in a red 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she crashed into a cow field. The driver had minor injuries. The owner of the cow field was helping the driver come up with a plan to remove the jeep from the field. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, September 18, 2023, at about 8:30 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near mile post 100 for a single vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a 1987 Peterbilt log truck crashed off the west side of the roadway with its load of logs completely removed from the trailer. The driver stated he was southbound on Highway 99W and got too far over the solid white fog line with his right-side tires, causing him to crash off the roadway and roll over. |
IDENTITY THEFT - On September 12th, 2023, at about 12:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 27500 block of Writsmans Creek Drive in Corvallis, Oregon, for a report of fraudulent activity on a social security account. The reporting person is not out of any money and has flagged her social security account. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 12th, 2023, at about 11:30 am, Benjamin Watson, 26, was arrested at the Benton County Parole and Probation Office at 180 NW 5th Street Corvallis, Oregon, for a Failure to Appear Warrant of Washington County Circuit Court. Watson was transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 12, 2023, at about 3:35 AM, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on Alpine Road near Foster Road, west of Monroe. Deputies arrived and found a 2011 Jeep Liberty parked on the side of the road, partially in the west bound lane. Deputies contacted a couple who were both occupying the vehicle. A male informed the car was overheating and they called a friend to pick them up. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 11, 2023, at approximately 3:45 PM, deputies were on patrol near Takena Landing, Benton County, Oregon where they located Kevin Lee Fuller, 59. Fuller was later arrested on two warrants out of Albany Municipal Court for Failure to Comply - Criminal Trespass 1 and Failure to Appear - Larceny. Fuller was issued citations in lieu of custody with court dates for his respective warrants. |
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, September 11, 2023, at approximately 2:49 pm, deputies were dispatched to a traffic complaint on SW 3rd Street near SW Airport Avenue. A male called in to report a recklessly driven vehicle he saw earlier in the day. The male told deputies a Dodge pickup passed a line of cars unsafely on Highway 99W near Guerber Lane. He also sent dash cam footage and photos of the pickup and its driver. |
PROPERTY, LOST - On September 11th, 2023, at about 10:00 am, deputies responded to the 28300 block of Irish Bend Road in Monroe, Oregon, for a report of a lost license plate on the front bumper of a vehicle. A resident reported that the license plate and bumper had been left on his property for about two weeks and just wanted them returned to the rightful owner. Deputies could not contact the vehicle`s registered owner that the license plate came off, so the license plate was placed in lost property at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office. |
WARRANT ARREST - On October 4, 2023, at 5:00 pm, deputies contacted Trevor Grissell, 37, on Highway 99W near Airport Road in Corvallis after they observed him walking in the middle of the westbound turn lane. Grissell had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Lane County Circuit Court for FTA/ Weapon Offense, Bail $20,000. Deputies then transported Grissell to the Benton County Jail. |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - Washington County Sheriff`s Office requested BCSO attempt to locate Terry HERBERT, 46. HERBERT had an outstanding felony warrant for Failure to Appear - Possession of Methamphetamine. Deputies went to 525 NW 5th St and located Terry HERBERT and walked him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 2, 2023, at approximately 1:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center at 180 NW 5th Street. Trinity D. Mendez, 38, came in to turn herself in on a warrant and to be issued a re-cite for an earlier case. She received citations for the warrant and the earlier case. |
MAIL THEFT - On Sunday, October 1, 2023, at approximately 9:36 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a mail theft in the 100 block of NE Azalea Drive, Adair. A resident had custom painted saw blades taken from her mailbox sometime between Monday, September 25, 2023 and Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The resident said she was already in contact with the Postal Inspector, who confirmed the delivery time for her. |
ASSAULT 4 - On 09/30/2023 at approximately 11:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 20700 block of Honeygrove Road in Alsea for a report of a Domestic Disturbance. At the residence, deputies contacted Kaitlyn Johnson. After interviewing all parties, Johnson was arrested for Assault 4 Domestic Violence. Johnson was later lodged at the Benton County Jail. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 9/30/2023 at approximately 1:10 am, Christina Marie Goodenough (40) of Lincoln City, was arrested on Albany and Lebanon Municipal Court warrants as a passenger during a traffic stop with Philomath. |
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On Friday, September 29, 2023 at approximately 10:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to an injury accident on Highway 34 near Mile Post 54, Philomath. The driver hit a deer on his way home but was not injured. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 29, 2023, at 8:30 PM, deputies contacted Mark Edward Phelps, 53, in the 5200 block of SW Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis. Phelps was hiding behind building poles to avoid deputies. When deputies asked him for his name, he immediately told deputies he thought he might have a warrant and gave deputies his name. Phelps had three confirmed listed cite and release warrants: Washington County Circuit Court, DUII (FTA), Bail $5,000; DUII (FTA) Warrant, Bail $5,000; and Contempt of Court (FTA), No bail. Phelps was issued a new court date for the warrants and released. |
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On 09/29/2023 at approximately 8:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of NE Azalea Drive in Adair for a report of a Domestic Disturbance. When deputies arrived, a female told them her juvenile son had stolen her car keys and while they were fighting over the keys she was pushed into a wall. Neither her nor her juvenile son requested medical treatment. The juvenile son was issued a citation in lieu of custody for Harassment. |

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 9/29/2023 at 1:24 am, William David Andrews (47) of Monroe, accidentally drove his truck into a ditch near 26697 Hwy 99W. He retrieved his service truck and pulled the truck out. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 29, 2023, at 10:54 PM, deputies stopped Alaura Baldwin, 32, on SE Richland Avenue near 3rd Street in Corvallis after she failed to signal 100 feet prior to making a turn. Baldwin had two below confirmed cite and release warrants. Baldwin was issued new court dates for both warrants. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 9/28/23, deputies found a warrant out of LINN County for FTA-DWS Felony. for SELVES, Damon, 41, who was transported back for release on our matter. LINN County gave a court date and time for the warrant. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at approximately 9:49 AM, deputies responded to a reported juvenile problem at Crescent Valley High School. Deputies responded and contacted the juvenile, who was cited in lieu of custody and released to a parent. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at approximately 8:17 pm, deputies were dispatched to a possible prowler in the 26500 block of Max Drive. A resident reportedly heard footsteps running from the vehicles parked in her driveway. Deputies checked the area and did not find anyone or anything suspicious. |
BURGLARY 2 - On Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at approximately 8:00 pm, deputies were asked to call a resident in the 200 block of E Alder Street, Alsea, regarding a burglary. The resident reported a Stihl chainsaw and four bags of cans stolen from a detached shed in her yard. No suspect information. |
THEFT 3 - On September 26, 2023, a resident at 525 NW Monroe reported his food was consumed and his apartment was cleaned while his house sitter took care of his bird. He said he was in the hospital during the incident. Suspects reside in Eugene and appear to have left the area. The resident said he would compile a list of items consumed when he has time. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 26, 2023, at about 1:40 AM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 BMW X3. The male driver provided deputies with his name and date of birth due to him having no driver`s license. The male, Carl Villa, 39, returned with a suspended driving status and two confirmed warrants. Carl had a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear Theft 2 and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear for a Theft 2. The passenger, who Carl informed me was his wife, Crystal Villa, 37, also had two confirmed warrants. Cystal had a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to appear for Criminal Mistreatment 1 and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear for Theft 2. Both parties were issued criminal citations per Linn County Jail’s request. |
DWS MIS - On Tuesday September 26, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop after observing traffic violations. They later learned the driver, Zachery Shinall, 25, was driving while suspended at a criminal level. Shinall was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody and released. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 26, 2023, at about 12:05 AM, deputies contacted a female at Takena Landing Park in North Albany. The female was identified as Stacy Slover, 52, and she had a Linn County Justice Court warrant for Contempt of Court. Linn County Jail requested a citation in lieu of custody due to not having space. Stacy was provided with a criminal citation and a new court date. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/25/23 Watts, Anna, 25, turned herself in at the Benton Co Jail on five warrants. Deputies served the warrants on Watts. |
MAIL THEFT - On Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 3:30 PM, deputies were contacted at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office Substation in Monroe, Oregon by a resident who reported a theft of prescription medication from a package in their mailbox. |

On Thursday, Sept. 28, deputies arrested Todd Wesley Dupree (36) of McMinnville, for DUII, Assault, and Reckless Endangering, as a result of a rollover injury crash at NW Independence Hwy/NW Ryals Ave. |
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On September 21, 2023 at 9:39 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 23700 block of Ervin Road in Philomath to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog was micro-chipped and the owner was made aware. There was a second dog that deputies were unable to capture. The owner was in route to gather that dog. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, at about 5:36 p.m., deputies responded to the area of 6200 SW Plymouth Dr, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon for a single vehicle rollover crash. The 17-year-old female driver had four minor passengers. Some had minor scratches and bruises from the crash. The driver was issued a citation for driving in violation of her license restrictions. |
THEFT 3 - On September 23, 2023, at 4:36 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 25100 block of Alpine Road in Monroe for a Theft. The resident reported an unknown suspect siphoned a full tank of gas out her car. The car was parked in her driveway at the time. A full tank of gasoline was valued at about $80. There is no suspect information at this time. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 23, 2023, at approximately 8:00 AM, deputies were patrolling near Takena Landing, Benton County, Oregon where they located Michael J Ridders, 51. Ridders was later arrested on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court - Criminal Trespass 2. Ridders was issued a citation in lieu of custody with court dates for his warrant. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 22, 2023, Amathist Lahondy, 25, turned herself in at BCCF for FTA-Theft 3 out of Benton County Circuit Court, $1000-00 Bail. Lahondy was taken into custody. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 21, 2023, at 7:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Woods Creek Road in Philomath for a single vehicle non-injury traffic crash. The driver was traveling eastbound when she crashed into the guardrail. She was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. |
DUII; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 09/21/2023 at approximately 12:11 am, deputies conducted a crash investigation near the intersection of West Hills Road and North 19th Street in Philomath. Deputies arrested the female driver, Madeline Mechele Kemp, 22, for DUII, and arrested the passenger, Wyatt Lile, 26, for Criminal Trespass II, 26. Lile was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. |

ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - September 20, 2023 an Amazon delivery driver reported that he had been bitten by a dog residing in the 900 block of NW Camilia Drive in Corvallis. The bite did not break skin. The dog did not need to be quarantined. The dog owner has come up with a plan to keep future delivery people safe. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at approximately 1:25 pm, deputies were parked on SE Goodnight Avenue near SE 3rd Street when a passerby stopped to tell deputies there was a crash at SE Goodnight Avenue and SE Midvale Drive. Deputies found the non-injury crash blocking the intersection. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 11, 2023, at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies were assisting in an investigation into a recovered stolen motorcycle located in the woods near Taken Landing, Benton County, Oregon where they located Scott Eugene Medford, 45. Medford was later arrested on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court - Interfering with an Officer. Medford was issued citations in lieu of custody with a court date for his warrant. |
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On September 11th, 2023, at about 1:15 p.m., deputies recovered a stolen motorcycle at Tekena Landing Park at 656 Highway 20, Albany, Oregon. The motorcycle was found on the southwest side of the park near the entrance of the park. There are no suspects at this time. The motorcycle was returned to the owner. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, September 11, 2023, at approximately 8:20 AM, deputies responded to the 5100 block of NW Highway 99W, Corvallis for a non-injury crash. The driver was traveling south on Highway 99W when he failed to see the vehicle in front of him slow to turn right into a driveway, and his vehicle struck the rear end of turning vehicle. The driver was issued a traffic citation for following too close, and both drivers exchanged information. |
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at approximately 5:26 PM, deputies responded to a reported rollover crash at milepost 46 on Highway 34. The vehicle was unoccupied with severe damage. The minor driver was later brought to the scene by his parents. No criminal action was taken. |
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Sunday, September 10, 2023, at approximately 12:30 PM, deputies responded to the 30200 block of Highway 99W for a report of a suspicious vehicle driving through a field and a yard at the residence. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle who was from out the area and looking for a friend`s house, when he got turned around on the farm access roads. |
ASSAULT 4; RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 8, 2023 at around 12:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost #9 for an injury crash. Kaden Justin Lee, 19, was later arrested, cited, and released for Assault IV, Reckless Endangering and Reckless Driving. |
MISSING PERSON - On 9/1/2023 at around 7:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a lost person driving a vehicle above Hull Oakes Lumber Mill. A female got lost on logging roads while picking berries and taking photos. Deputies drove to her GPS location and she followed deputies out of the woods. |
WARRANT ARREST - On August 29, 2023, Rachelle Marie Guess, 36, was arrested on a warrant at the jail. She was issued a court date and time per agency request. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – Deputies received a complaint from Benton County Parks Department about a maroon sedan being parked at Hyak Park, and couple of people living out of car, camping there during day, but not known if at night. Deputies spoke with the occupants of the vehicle, who said they stay at the park during the day but at night, camp out of their car in Linn County. They were not committing any crimes or violations by staying at Hyak Park during the day. |
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, September 18, 2023, at about 11:45 am, deputies were dispatched to the 6600 block of Reservoir Avenue for a report of a trespass. Deputies arrived and spoke with the property owner who said he has an ongoing issue with people trespassing on his driveway while coming to and from Grand Oaks neighborhood to the Bald Hill parking lot on Reservoir Avenue. The issue today was a male driving his vehicle down the resident’s driveway to the pathway to drop wood chips near the path. Deputies are going to work with the property owner moving forward to try and find a more permanent solution to eliminate persons trespassing on his property. |
DWS MIS - On Monday September 18, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2007 Lincoln Navigator on College Street, Philomath. The driver later identified as Michael Konkolis, 36, was later arrested and issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended/revoked. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15, 2023 at about 4:00 AM, deputies observed Kristina Vergara, 42, inside a vehicle parked in the 600 block of of NW Hickory Ave. Vergara had a confirmed warrant out for her arrest. Vergara was issued a citation in lieu of custody for an Albany municipal for failure to comply, $285 bail. |
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at approximately 11:55 am, deputies were driving through Avery Park when they saw a motorcycle with an unreadable license plate. Deputies stopped the motorcycle on SW 15th Street near Philomath Boulevard and arrested the driver, Curtis W. Dorman, 20, for a warrant. He was cited and released. |

IDENTITY THEFT - On Saturday, September 10th, 2023, at approximately 3:59 PM, deputies were dispatched to a reported identity theft in the 24200 block of Highway 34, outside of Philomath. Deputies contacted a resident who reported her name and financial information was used to open accounts with a power company in Texas. There was no suspect information; the resident wanted a report number to provide to the company. |
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, September 18, 2023, deputies spoke with a resident by phone regarding a fraudulent credit card being opened using his information. The resident had already frozen his credit and is watching his credit and bank statements. |
WARRANT ARREST - On 9/17/2023 at approximately 10:29 pm, Madison Crawford (25) of Sheridan, was arrested for an outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court warrant on 15th St. near College St. She was cited and released. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15th 2023 at about 11:35 am, deputies located Todd Strom, 57, walking into a trailer park on E. Main Street, Alsea. Strom had active warrants: one out of Florence, Oregon for Trespass and one out of Oregon State Parole. Strom was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail for booking. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at approximately 10:22 PM, deputies were dispatched to a reported motor-vehicle collision at the intersection of Alpine Cutoff Road and Highway 99 West. Deputies responded to the crash and confirmed it was non-injury and assisted both motorists in vehicle removal. No criminal action was taken. |

WARRANT ARREST - On September 15, 2023, at 10:11 PM, deputies stopped Luke Tillman, 33, on Highway 34 near the Highway 34 Bypass in Corvallis after he made an improper turn and drove through two red lights. Tillman attempted to switch places with his passenger as deputies approached the vehicle. Tillman was placed into handcuffs with his hands behind his back a short time later. Tillman had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for FTA/ Theft III, Bail $1,250. Tillman was additionally driving while suspended violation and without insurance. Tillman was issued a new court date for the warrant and cited for the traffic violations. Tillman was released from the scene. |
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On September 14, 2023, at around 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run on South Fork Road. A driver reported he was traveling west on South Fork Road when a truck in the oncoming lane came close to his side of the road. The driver said he was as far to the right as he could be without going off the road and they smacked mirrors. The driver’s mirror was broken and the opposing driver did not stop. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 14, 2023, Williams, Thomas, 70, turned himself in on a warrant for FTA- Unlawful Poss of Meth and Theft 3. Williams was released with a new court date of 9/26/23 at 130. He was released with the 5-day rule. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 14, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the Monroe Library at 380 North 5th Street in Monroe, for a suspicious vehicle parked in their lot next to the flagpole. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the vehicle owner who said he is living out of his Honda, but has a flat right rear tire, and would move the vehicle when he could. Deputies recommended to the library to put up signs in the parking lot if they did not want vehicles staying there overnight. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at about 1:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near South 5th Street in Monroe for a vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a green 1996 Honda Accord crashed into the bridge railing on the southbound side of the roadway. The driver stated his air bags deployed causing him to crash into the bridge railing. The driver was issued citations for No Insurance and Expired Vehicle Registration. |

THEFT BY DECEPTION COMPUTER CRIME - On September 11, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a case of Fraud. Deputies called an employee with Adult Protective Services who reported an elderly resident had wired $54,000.00 dollars to Xu Bin in Hong Kong expecting to buy antique furniture. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, September 11, 2023, at approximately 11:50 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries near 23890 Highway 99W. Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on. Deputies arrived and found two vehicles crashed into each other in the northbound lane of Highway 99W. Monroe Fire Department personnel were already on scene assessing one of the patients. OSP arrived and deputies turned the scene over to them. |
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On 09/08/2023 at approximately 11:01 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 28700 block of Dodge Island Road for a violation of a no contact release agreement protecting an adult male from Shelly Miller, 40. Miller was inside the residence where she was not allowed to be. Deputies spoke with both parties and developed probable cause to arrest Miller for violating her no contact release agreement. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 13, 2023 at about 1:00 AM, deputies were on Highway 99W at about milepost 80 when they observed a Volkswagen Passat bearing an expired plate for a Chevy truck. Deputies stopped the vehicle for the violation and identified the driver and passenger, Madison Crawford, 25. Crawford had two confirmed warrants for her arrest which she was issued citations for: Albany Municipal Court- Fail to appear- Larceny, $1250 bail, and Philomath Municipal Court- Contempt of court, $5000 bail. Crawford was cited and released. |
WARRANT ARREST – On September 11, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a White 1999 Chevrolet Silverado on Hwy 20/milepost 47, Philomath. After deputies contacted the driver, Jeffery Tyler, 57, they learned that he had two Albany Municipal Court warrants (FTA 2 and FTA Trespass 2). Deputies issued him a citation in lieu of custody for the warrants and a violation level citation for driving while suspended. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 10, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black 2001 Ford F150 on NW 9th St, Corvallis. After deputies contacted the driver, Zachary Knittle, 33, they learned he had two Benton County Circuit Court warrants (FTA DUII and FTA DWS Misdemeanor). Deputies issued him a citation in lieu of custody and a verbal warning for his traffic violations. |
DWS MIS - On September 10, 2023 at around 8:24 pm, deputies stopped a silver 2006 Subaru Impreza for speeding on Highway 34 near milepost 53. The driver, Darian N Kinney, 25, was later arrested, cited, and released for driving while suspended misdemeanor. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 8, 2023 at about 2:00 AM, deputies arrested Justin O`Keefe, 24, in the parking lot of 2335 NW Kings Blvd in Corvallis, for warrants. O`Keefe was lodged at the Benton County jail on multiple warrants. |
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 7, 2023 at about 8:30 PM, deputies responded to the 22200 block of Davis Rd for a suspicious person complaint. A resident stated that what appeared to be a transient was riding around their remote neighborhood and had left a stroller near a residence on Davis Rd. Deputies were unable to locate the transient that reportedly rode off westbound on Highway 20 on a bicycle. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 7, 2023 at about 6:30 AM, deputies responded to Highway 99W near the intersection of Lakeside Drive for a multivehicle injury traffic crash. Deputies spoke to the drivers of three different vehicles involved in the crash. One driver failed to stop for a vehicle turning onto Lakeside Drive from Highway 99W and caused a three-vehicle crash involving a semitruck. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at approximately 12:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 37100 block of Belden Creek Road for a suspicious vehicle. A resident reported a green Subaru parked in a gravel parking area for his house. The resident later spoke to his roommate who knew the owner and gave him permission to park there. |

UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On September 3rd, 2023, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to the 21500 block of South Fork Road in Alsea Oregon, for a report of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle. Three vehicles were broken into, and several items were taken from each vehicle. There were no witnesses and no suspects. |

PROPERTY, FOUND - On 9/9/2023 at approximately 11:57 pm, deputies spoke with a female who told them she lost her apple watch at the Crescent Valley football game earlier that day and that it was currently pinging at an address in the 1300 block of NW 10th St. Deputies responded to the Corvallis address and spoke with a resident who said she found the watch in the parking lot and intended to call in the morning. The watch was returned to its owner. |
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On 09/08/2023 at approximately 6:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 26600 block of Alpine Cutoff Road in Monroe. Deputies spoke with a caller who said a suspicious 2006 White Ford Expedition had driven onto his property and began asking about a shed he was building. The unknown individual left in the vehicle a short time after that. No crime was committed, and no suspect information is available. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 8, 2023, at 4:05 PM, deputies responded to Soap Creek Road near milepost 1 for a Non-injury Traffic Crash. The driver was learning how to drive with a passenger. The driver failed to negotiate a corner and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle was towed from the scene. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 8th 2023 at about 9:30 am, deputies responded to a motorcycle crash on Hwy 223 near mile post 29. Deputies arrived and found two citizens attending to the motorcycle rider that was seated on the ground on the side of the road. |
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Monday, September 4, 2023, at approximately 2:00 PM, deputies located two vehicles in the parking lot of Irish Bend County Park, Benton County, that did not have license plates displayed and the VIN numbers were obscured. Deputies located the vehicles’ owners in a tent nearby, informing them they needed to properly display license plates or temporary tags issued by the DMV while the vehicles were being driven. Neither owner had valid driving privileges and deputies told them to have a licensed driver come drive them home when they left. |
THEFT 2 - On September 4th, 2023, at about 11:30 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of theft that occurred in the 17500 block of Alsea Hwy. A resident reported that at around 7:40 a.m., an unknown person climbed his fence and stole a box of Simpson metal brackets valued at 250 dollars. The resident has not provided the video evidence of the theft. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Saturday, September 2, 2023, at about 6:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate an audible alarm in the 4900 block of SW 3rd Street, Corvallis, and later determined the alarm was activated by a power outage to the neighborhood. |
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, September 2, 2023, at approximately 8:20 AM, deputies responded to the 25600 block of Dawson Occidental Lane, Benton County for a reported hit and run crash. Nicholas Lee Clark, 28, was later located and arrested for failure to perform the duties of a driver and reckless driving. Clark was issued citations in lieu of custody and released to arrange towing for his vehicle. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 09/01/2023, deputies was dispatched to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 7100 block of NE Arnold Avenue in Adair. Deputies contacted the property owner by phone who said two people had driven up to the business and saw them checking door handles but were unable to gain access to the building. Currently there are no leads. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 31st, 2023, a vehicle driven by an unknown Hispanic male in his 20`s was responsible for a crash with a loaded log truck, causing what is likely some minor damage to the truck. This happened on Highway 99W near milepost 102.5. The suspect vehicle, a Ford Focus that is flagged as sold, likely sustained significant driver`s side damage. A DMV crash report has been submitted as a hit and run. As of September 8th, 2023, the log truck driver has not yet gotten back to deputies with a damage estimate as requested, and the suspect vehicle has not been located. |
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On August 25th 2023 at about 9:20 am, deputies responded to Hwy 34 and Botkin Road in Benton County for a crash. This vehicle was over the embankment on the north side of Hwy 34 and Botkin Road. Deputies were told the crash occurred August 24th 2023 at about 5:30 am, while on the driver and passenger were on their way to work in Philomath. Deputies later made contact with the driver at his residence in the 200 block of E. Alder Street in Alsea. The driver had injuries but was doing fine. The passenger was not injured and went to work that morning after the crash. The driver said the crash was the result of a road rage incident in the curves coming down the hill. There is no description of the second vehicle. |

DWS MIS - On 09/07/2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of South 14th Street in Philomath. Shane Purvis, 42, was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram East on Highway 20 from Newport. Purvis was called in as a possibly impaired driver. During deputy contact with Purvis they found no indication he was impaired. Purvis was however issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Driving while suspended at the misdemeanor level. Purvis arranged for someone else to come drive his vehicle home. |
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On September 6, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a report of Fraud. A resident in the 3400 block of Scenic Dr, Albany, was contacted by someone claiming to be “BCSO Captain Carley,” who told him he had an FTA warrant. The resident later deposited $8570.00 into a bitcoin ATM to close out the warrant. No current suspects. |
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 9, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of NE Conifer Blvd, Corvallis, for a report of a man with a gun sitting in a chair in his yard. Deputies contacted the man who was attempting to kill a gopher with a shotgun on his own property. The man agreed to continue to keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction and not shoot towards a roadway or any structures beyond his own property. |
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On September 5, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of North 7th Street, Monroe for theft. The residents reported that someone stole gas from their truck the previous night. Their gas cap had been left on the tire, that matched a can in their neighbor`s yard. Deputies spoke to the neighbor, who said it could have been one of his friends that stole the gas but agreed to pay for the stolen gas. |
THEFT 2 - On September 5, 2023, a resident reported outgoing mail was stolen from the 4800 block of NW Palestine Ave. The resident has contacted the post office to forward his mail and closed the accounts related to the incident. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 4, 2023, around 4:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries, and possible entrapment on Highway 99 near Guerber Lane, Corvallis. It was reported that a single vehicle had left the roadway, flipped over, and had two people trapped in the vehicle. One of the occupants was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for his injuries. The driver of the green 1995 Ford F250 was cited for Driving While Suspended Violation and for Careless Driving for falling asleep at the wheel. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 3rd, 2023 at about 1:16 pm, deputies stopped Augustin Holguin, 59, while he was riding his motorcycle for suspicion of not being a licensed rider. Deputies later learned from dispatch that Holguin was DWS-Violation and he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court for FTA-Unlawful use of a Firearm, No Bail. Holguin was placed under arrest on the confirmed warrant and transported to the Linn County Jail for booking. |
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, August 26, 2023 at approximately 12:35 P.M., a driver was traveling east on Highway 20 near Kings Valley Highway. A bicyclist was riding her bicycle south on Kings Valley Highway near Highway 20. The cyclist did not stop at the stop sign and went to continue east on Highway 20 as she did not see oncoming traffic. The driver tried to avoid the cyclist but struck the front driver`s side of the vehicle and then again near the back of the vehicle. The cyclist was transported to the hospital by Corvallis Medics. |
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 5, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Commercial Street for criminal mischief. A resident explained that someone had scratched his car. Deputies looked at the car and it had been scratched by an unknown object on most of the car. No current suspects. |
RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 4, 2023, at around 5:19 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Alpine Rd and Bellfountain Rd for a report of Reckless Driving. A male reported he was walking east on Alpine Rd at around 4:30 pm when a black mid-sized truck purposely veered onto the gravel shoulder towards him. This has occurred twice. No current suspects. |
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 3rd, 2023, at approximately 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 26500 block of Coon Road in Monroe, Oregon. This single motor vehicle crash resulted in only minor cuts and scrapes. The vehicle was towed. |

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 2nd, 2023 at about 11:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 4900 block of NW Shiloh Place for criminal mischief to a fence. Unknown subjects cut a fence leading into the victim’s garden on the roadside of the property. This possibly happened 2 to 3 weeks ago. No suspects. The resident figured it would be $200 to $300 to have the fence repaired. He is going to contact his homeowner’s insurance provider. The wire did not look like it was freshly cut, rust had already formed over the ends of the wire. |
WARRANT ARREST - On September 2nd, 2023, at approximately 11:30 am, Jesse Fretter, 46, was arrested at Takena Landing Park in Albany, Oregon, for a Contempt of Court Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Fretter was criminally cited and released. |
PROPERTY LOST - On September 2nd, 2023, at about 8:20 a.m., deputies took a report of a lost diamond ring. A female reported losing her anniversary ring sometime in the two weeks prior to the report. The ring was valued at $2300. |
BCSO K9 TRACK - On September 1, 2023, at about 10:05 PM, K9 deputies searched for items after a crash on Highway 99W near milepost 95. Deputies arrived to search for a wallet and phone after suspecting they were in the area of the crash. A K9 searched the area for the articles but only located two work gloves and a hat belonging to the driver. A K9 located both items. After multiple passes while searching, deputies determined the wallet and phone where likely in the truck still. |
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING – On September 1, 2023 at about 5:30 AM, a female called to report that she had found a small child wandering around the street in Alsea near East Main Street and East Alder Street. While on the phone to dispatch the child`s mother approached and was clearly distraught. The mother took the child home where deputies spoke with her. The mother indicated that when the child`s father left for work that morning, the child slipped out the unlocked door behind him. The child was described as being both autistic and non-verbal. The mother stated that he was wearing only a diaper and she has to consistently keep doors around the house locked for this reason. The child was only a few blocks from his residence, south towards main street. |
