Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

1/16/19 - BCSO ‑ DISTURBANCE/ARGUE.  On January 15th, 2019 at about 3:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a woman about an incident that occurred while she and her husband were riding their bikes.  She said they were riding south on 53rd Street though the intersection at Harrison Blvd when a pickup truck almost hit them.  She said her husband flipped the driver off as they continued south bound.  She said the driver of the truck turned around and cut them off as they were riding across the entrance to the Country Market.  Deputies contacted the driver at his residence.  He was very apologetic and extended to the couple his apologies for losing his temper.
1/16/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 15, 2017, IRISH, Kenneth, 55, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail for a confirmed warrant for FTA DUII, with no bail. IRISH was issued a new court date and released.
1/16/19 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday, January 14, 2019 at around 3:45 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of Fern Road and South Powderhouse Road for a single vehicle off the roadway.  Deputies arrived at around 3:57 PM and saw a vehicle in the ditch on the south side of Powderhouse Rd.  The driver said she was turning onto Powderhouse and was blinded by the sun and drove off the roadway.  The car was towed and she was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital to be evaluated.
1/16/19 – WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On January, 14 2019 at about 3:05 P.M., deputies arrested Dustin Trevor Mackie, 38, for multiple confirmed warrants and PCS ‑ Meth. Mackie was issued a citation for a Benton County Warrant, and PCS‑ Meth. Deputies transported Mackie to the Polk County Jail where he was booked and lodged on their warrant for PV ‑ PCS METH / DUII, $25,000 Bail.
1/15/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Monday, January 14, 2019 at about 11:30 A.M., deputies arrested David Wayne Thompson, 40, for a confirmed Oregon State Parole Board Warrant for Dangerous Drugs, No Bail. Thompson was located south of the Highway 34 bypass, on the east side of the river, along a tree line. Thompson was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.  Thompson was warned for trespassing.
1/15/19 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On January 13, 2019, at 9:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to Alpine Road near McFarland Road in Monroe for a vehicle off the roadway. The driver was traveling eastbound on Alpine Road when her vehicle slid into the ditch due to Icy Roadway Conditions. There was no apparent damage to the vehicle or any property. She planned to make arrangements to have the vehicle removed in the morning. Deputies wrapped the vehicle with caution tape and it was not a traffic hazard.
1/15/19 - BCSO ‑ TRAFFIC /PARKING.  On Sunday, January 13, 2019 at about 2:20 P.M., deputies spoke with a citizen on Oak Creek Drive near the OSU gate. Rosenberg was concerned because lots of people from the community are going to the end of Oak Creek Drive to utilize the OSU forest trails and roads. Some people park in the Auduban parking area, even though they are not visiting the Auduban center. While deputies were there, they observed no parking violations, nor speed violations, despite the parking area being full and numerous people visiting the area.
1/15/19 - WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFORMATION TO POLICE.  On Sunday, January 13, 2019 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies saw a male walking improperly on Highway 501 near Fudge Road. The male gave deputies a false name, but eventually identified himself as Jayson Russell Johnson, 48, and stated he thought he thought he had a warrant, hence the lying. Deputies arrested Jayson and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged for an Oregon State Parole Board Parole Violation Warrant and cited for False Information.
1/15/19 - WARRANT ARREST; INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE – VANDALISM; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE  ‑ UNDER $500. On January 10, 2019, Jacob Nate Anderson, 29, was arrested near 4th Street and Western Boulevard for a confirmed warrant, Criminal Mischief III, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and Tampering with Evidence. Anderson was lodged at the Benton County Jail
1/15/19 - PERMITTING A DOG TO CHASE LIVESTOCK.  On January 11, 2019 3:30 p.m., deputies met a dog owner at the Heartland Humane Society.  The owner was retrieving her dog.  Deputies issued her a citation for her dog chasing livestock and running at large.
1/15/19 - BCSO ‑ ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT. On January 9, 2019 12:00 p.m., deputies transported an abandoned dog from the 3000 road on Mary's Peak to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded.  The dog was an intact male, senior, black lab mix.  He was not wearing a collar.
1/15/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY. On January 8, 2019 at approximately 4:20AM, deputies spoke with a man by phone who said he rolled his pickup truck on Coon Rd between Orchard Tract Dr and Bellfountain Rd. He said he swerved to avoid a deer, drove up the bank, and rolled into the ditch. He said he walked home because he did not have cellular service at the scene.
1/15/19 – DUII. On Sunday, January 6, 2019, at around 1:00am, deputies stopped a vehicle at 1900 SW 3rd ST in Corvallis for failure to stop when emerging. They later arrested the driver, HECTOR HERNANDEZ‑DE JESUS, 25, for DUII after determining that he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Hernandez‑De Jesus's blood alcohol content was 0.09. HERNANDEZ‑DE JESUS was cited and released.
1/15/19 - CARELESS DRIVING‑NO ACCIDENT. On January 4th, 2019 at about 2:30 PM, deputies responded to a semi‑truck blocking both lanes of Highway 20 near milepost #40.  The driver had tried to turn around and become stuck causing him to block the Highway for over an hour.  The driver was cited for Careless Driving.
1/14/19 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On January 14, 2019, at about 1:45 a.m., deputies spoke to a citizen by phone who lives on Beaver Creek Road. She witnessed a small truck approximately thirty minutes prior, put something in her mailbox. Further investigation led them to find an onion in their mailbox with, "You're a dumb c***," written on the side. They did not know who would gift them the vulgar onion.
1/14/19 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, January 13, 2019 at approximately 11:55 p.m., deputies stopped Chad YOCK for a traffic violation and reasonable suspicion of criminal activity in the parking lot of 450 SW 3rd Street. Deputies confirmed two warrants for YOCK's arrest, including a probation violation out of Lebanon Municipal Court, and Failure to Appear for Theft 2 out of Benton County Circuit Court. The passenger, Aaron BYERS, 23, told deputies he had a digital scale in his pocket and a few “rigs” stuffed inside his underwear. A search of the vehicle resulted in a plastic bag with a white crystal substance inside it and a glass pipe with a white crystal substance inside it. Both BYERS and YOCK were taken to the Benton County Jail. Deputies arrested, cited, and released BYERS for unlawful possession of heroin. YOCK was cited and released for unlawful possession of methamphetamine; driving while suspended; operation of unsafe vehicle; and obstruction of vehicle windows.
1/14/19 - ACCIDENT INJURY. On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at about 10:35 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Highway 180 for a single vehicle crash.  Deputies arrived and observed a vehicle crashed approximately 50 feet off the north side of the roadway.  The driver and her passengers were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non‑life threatening injuries.
1/14/19 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED II CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; MANUFACTURE/DELIVER SCHED I CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  On January 12, 2019 at about 3:30 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for Failure to Signal a Turn. The driver, Taylor William Henderson, 22, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, Possession of Meth and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. He provided a breath sample of .09% BAC. He was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
1/14/19 - DWS MISDEMEANOR; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; VIOLATION OF RESTRAINING ORDER.  On Friday, January 11, 2019, at approximately 9:09 P.M., deputies stopped PAULA ROSE BUCK, 36, for a moving violation near Garfield Avenue and Division Street.  Deputies arrested PAULA for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor and after a probable cause search, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance ‑ Methamphetamine, and Violation of Restraining Order after locating a loaded firearm in her possession which is in violation of the restraining order. PAULA was booked and lodged in the Benton County Jail.
1/14/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On January 11, 2018 at about 5:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash on Highway 99w south of Alpine.  A witness on scene stated the driver was southbound on Highway 99w when she drifted into the west ditch.  The vehicle struck a tree in the ditch and the vehicle came to a rest on its driver's side.  When questioned, the driver stated she was drowsy and had closed her eyes for a moment.  The vehicle was towed from the scene due to damages.
1/14/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, January 11, 2019 at 4:23 PM, deputies saw ALEXIS ROSE CARRILLO, 21 sitting in a vehicle on Cleveland Avenue, near Dixon Street in Corvallis. Dispatch informed CARRILLO had a felony warrant for her arrest, which they confirmed. CARRILLO was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on her warrant.
1/14/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Friday, January 11, 2019, around 6:40 A.M., deputies arrived on Bellfountain Road near milepost 4 for a single vehicle, non‑injury, traffic crash.  Unit 1 was north on Bellfountain Road negotiating a right hand curve.  The drvier said a vehicle was across the center line, causing him to go into the gravel on the east side of Bellfountain and over correct, causing the vehicle to cross Bellfountain Road and go into the          west side ditch, rolling onto its top.  The driver and passenger were not injured.
1/14/19 - DWS MISDEMEANOR; GIVING FALSE INFORMATION TO A POLICE OFFICER FOR A CITATION; WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Friday, January 11th, 2019 at about 1:35 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle for violation of speed limit near Applegate Street and 12th Street.  The driver, BRITTANY SUZANNE SWEEDEN, 28, originally lied about her name and was arrested for False Information to a Peace Officer, Driving While Revoked Misdemeanor and two warrants.  The front Seat passenger, who lied about his name, was finally identified as MATTHEW FRANKLIN SELF, 34.  SELF was arrested for PCS Meth and a warrant.  The rear passenger side passenger, NICOLA JOHN AIELLO DIXON, 26, was arrested by Philomath Police for PCS heroin and a detainer from his PO after he walked away from the traffic stop.  SWEEDEN was lodged at the Benton County Jail, SELF was transported to Lincoln County Jail as the Benton County Jail was closed after SWEEDEN was lodged.  Philomath Police transported and lodged AIELLO DIXON to the Lincoln County Jail
1/14/19 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, January 10th, 2019, at approximately 6:45 p.m., deputies were informed by a member of the district attorney’s office DUII Victim Impact Panel team, that they suspected an attendee of being under the influence of an intoxicant.  Deputies spoke with the man, who admitted to using marijuana earlier that day.  He was asked to leave the DUII Victim Impact Panel and he left.
1/14/19 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE ‑ BY DECEPTION.  On Thursday, January 10, 2019 at about 3:05 p.m., deputies spoke with a citizen who received an email from an unknown source requesting iTunes gift cards to help a sick person. The man purchased $300.00 in gift cards and emailed the numbers to the gift cards. He then purchased $700.00 more when asked, and sent them as well. The citizen does not have any suspect information and needed a case number for Apple. He purchased another $700.00 in gift cards but had not sent the numbers yet. Apple agreed to refund the unused cards with a case number.
1/14/19 - INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; VIOLATING COURT'S STALKING PROTECTIVE ORDER.  On Thursday, January 10th, 2019, deputies arrested GORDON LEE, 65, for Interfering with a Peace Officer and Violating a Courts Stalking Order.  Deputies served LEE with the stalking order and he refused to obey their lawful commands to leave the residence.  LEE was transported to the Benton County jail where he was booked and lodged.
1/11/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 10, 2018 at about 10:00 pm, deputies contacted Kindra Terese Adams, 34, in the parking lot of 350 NW Hickory St, Albany.  Adams had a confirmed Douglas County Circuit Court warrant for FTA‑Dangerous Drugs, $7500 bail.  Adams was cited into the Douglas Circuit Court and released.
1/11/19 – WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:05 AM, deputies saw STEEN ALVIN SKINNER, 28, walking northbound on 9th Street in Corvallis. SKINNER had a confirmed felony warrant for his arrest for Oregon State Parole Board, PV ‑ Robbery, No Bail.  Deputies contacted SKINNER at 1450 NW 9th Street and arrested him. SKINNER was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrant.
1/11/19 - DUII OF DRUGS; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; FUGITIVE ARREST.  On Monday, January 7, 2019 at approximately 12:00am, deputies stopped William JOHNSON, 26, for a traffic violation near SW 3rd St and SW Prairie Ave. Deputies arrested JOHNSON for driving under the influence of intoxicants, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of heroin and two warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court.  Johnson was issued criminal citations and violation citations for altered display of plates, driving while suspended and failure to carry insurance proof.
1/10/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Courthouse for a female with a warrant.  DEBORAH JEAN RHYNO, 46, had a confirmed warrant out of the Linn County Circuit Court for a Probation Violation.  Deputies issued RHYNO a citation with a court date and time to appear.
1/10/19 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF ‑ 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning a vandalism complaint.  Deputies spoke to them by telephone who said an unknown suspect went into the home his company is building on Goshawk Lane and caused an estimated $500 of damage.  They said the unknown suspect pushed down and dismantled two interior walls and left empty beer cans in the home.  They believe the vandalism occurred on the evening of Saturday, January 5th 2019.  They wanted the Sheriff's Office to be aware of the incident.
1/10/19 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On January 8, 2019, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living on Wells Creek Road in Philomath.  The warning was for her dog running at large and onto the neighbor's property.
1/10/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at about 9:45 PM, deputies the passenger who identified himself as ZACHARY GENE JOHNSON, 28. JOHNSON was issued a citation for the warrant out of Sweet Home Municipal Court, which was for Contempt Of Court on a Theft II.  The bail amount was $10,000.00.  JOHNSON cited and released.
1/10/19 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Friday, December 28, 2018, at approximately 8:36 P.M., deputies contacted ROBERT R WINNINGHAM, 53, and BENJAMIN MO HIN CAMPBELL, 28, on 5th Street.  Narcotic K9 Tommy alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. WINNINGHAM and Campbell were later arrested.
1/10/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON DECEMBER 29, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:51PM, CHELSEA CERA BANKS, 32, REPORTED TO THE JAIL LOBBY FOR A CONFIRMED WARRANT OUT OF BENTON COUNTY FOR FTA FALSE INFO.  BANKS WAS RELEASED WITH A FUTURE COURT DATE.
1/10/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON DECEMBER 26, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:46am, CLAYTON LOPEZ, 23, REPORTED TO THE JAIL LOBBY FOR A CONFIRMED WARRANT DUII.  LOPEZ WAS RELEASED WITH A FUTURE COURT DATE.
1/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 8, 2019, at 11:14 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near Mountain View Drive in Corvallis for a Welfare Check on a male walking along the highway. Upon arrival, deputies stopped Ronald Mowdy, 25, for Improper Position on a Highway. Mowdy had three confirmed warrants for his arrest.  Deputies transported Mowdy to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released on the warrants.
1/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 8, 2019, PERRY, Heather, 44, turned herself in at the jail for a confirmed warrant for FTA PCS Meth, FWS Misdemeanor, and Tampering with Evidence, with no bail.  PERRY was issued a new court date and time.
1/9/19 - SURRENDER ANIMAL.  On January 8, 2019 10:00 a.m., a dog owner from the 26000 block of Cecil Lane in Alsea requested assistance.  The owner surrendered three puppies which deputies transported to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.  The puppies will be available for adoption.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, January 7, 2019, at about 8:15 am, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road near Chapel Drive for a single vehicle crash.  They arrived and spoke with the driver, who stated she lost control due to icy road conditions and crashed into the ditch. She stated she was not injured.
1/9/19 - BCSO ‑ TRAFFIC /HAZARD.  On Monday January 7, 2019 at about 8:24 am, deputies located a stalled vehicle in the southbound lane of Highway 99W at NW Circle Boulevard.  Deputies assisted with pushing the vehicle out of the lane of travel.  The driver arranged for a tow for the vehicle.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On January 07, 2019, at about 8:10 A.M., Vehicle #1 was driving south on Tampico Road near Soap Creek road. Vehicle #1 drove over ice, causing the vehicle to fishtail, then drive into the ditch. Vehicle #1 flipped onto its top. The driver was able to crawl out and was not injured. The vehicle was towed.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, January 7, 2018 at about 7:20 A.M., Vehicle #1 was driving south on Independence Highway near Metge Avenue at about 65 MPH. Vehicle #1 hit a patch of ice and drove off the roadway into a field. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, January 7, 2019, at about 6:45 am, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road near Airport Road for a single vehicle crash.  Deputies arrived and spoke with the driver who stated he lost control due to icy road conditions and slid off the road into the ditch.  He stated he was not injured and damages appeared to be approximately $500.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday, January 7, 2019, Unit #1 was southbound on Highway 99W near milepost 87 when he lost control in icy conditions. The vehicle hit the ditch and rolled across the intersection of SW Herbert Ave and stopped in the adjacent ditch. The driver had cuts on his hands from the crash but refused to be transported by medics.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, January 7 2019, at about 4:58 a.m., deputies responded to Highway 99W and South Smith Loop for a vehicle off the road, partially blocking, with no injuries. The driver hit an icy patch and slid off the roadway. The vehicle was pulled out of the ditch and was drivable.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On January 7, 2019 at around 5:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Highway 20 near milepost 8 for a single vehicle crash.  Unit 1 was traveling east on NW Highway 20 at around 35 mph when he hit black ice causing his vehicle to slide sideways off the road.  As he left the roadway he hit a telephone pole, shearing it off. PPL responded and said the pole was stable in place and would be repaired later.  The vehicle was towed due to damage. No injuries or other property damage was reported.
1/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Monday, January 7, 2019 at about 2:09 A.M., deputies contacted Felipe Leo Morfin, 30 yoa, at 120 SW Cummings Ave, after watching him ride a bike into the parking lot and then start to dismantle a second bike in the bike rack. Deputies then arrested and transported Morfin to the Benton County Jail. He was cited and released for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and a confirmed warrant for failing to appear to court for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On January 5, 2019 at around 10:18 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Walker Lane to assist Albany Police with an injury crash.  Two vehicles were stopped in the road due to a tree and power lines down across the road.  A third vehicle did not see they were stopped in time and crashed into the rear of them.  The third driver was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital, by ambulance, for facial injuries from her airbag deploying.  The other two drivers were not injured.  ODOT and PPL later arrived and cleared the roadway.
1/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, January 5, 2019, at about 6:45pm, deputies responded to a call for service at 200 NW 53rd St in Corvallis. They later arrested Evan Jay Seits, 34, for two outstanding confirmed warrants out of Benton County. Seits was transported to the Benton County Jail.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Saturday, January 5, 2019 at about 2:10 P.M., Vehicle #1 was driving west on Orchard Street and began negotiating a curve onto Coon Road. The driver of vehicle #1 mistook the gas pedal with the brake pedal and accelerated through the turn, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and into a wire fence. No Injuries were reported and the driver communicated with the fence owner about the damage.
1/9/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Saturday, January 5, 2019 at about 12:43pm, deputies arrived on NW Palestine Avenue, just east of NW Independence Hwy for a reported single vehicle crash.  It was later determined that Unit 1 pulled off of NW Palestine Avenue to allow a vehicle to pass.  The vehicle drove over a plastic yellow Bollard and struck a large NW Natural gas pipe prior to coming to a stop. Minimal damage to the vehicle and no damage noticed on the pipe.
1/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, January 4, 2019 at approximately 8:30pm, deputies spoke with Sidney CHAMBERS, 53, at the south end of Avery Park located at 1500 SW Avery Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies learned from dispatch that CHAMBERS had two serviceable warrants for his arrest. One out of Lincoln County, the other out of Warrenton Municipal Court. The warrants were confirmed and Chambers was cited and released.
1/9/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On January 4, 2019, BERNHARDT, GABRIELLE KAIT, 23, turned herself in at jail lobby on a confirmed Sweet Home Muni warrant for FTC Theft III.
1/9/19 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE; BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE.  On Thursday, January 3rd, 2019, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning a theft from his shop.  He said around Saturday, December 22nd, an unknown suspect stole about $1100 worth of tools from his unlocked shop.  He wanted the incident documented in case the Sheriff's Office came across his stolen property.
1/4/19 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS ‑ 2ND DEGREE.  On January 3rd, 2019 at about 6:53 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 20000 block of Territorial Highway for a report of a stolen four‑wheeler. The owner reported sometime between 7:15 AM and 6:40 PM, someone stole his Blue and White, 2004 Yamaha Warrior four‑wheeler from his carport.  There were tire marks on the concrete where the four‑wheeler had been drug around.  There are no suspects.  He estimated the value of the four‑wheeler at $2500.00.
1/4/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 1/2/19 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:21pm, CARRILLO, ALEXIS, 21, WAS CITED AND RELEASED FOR CONFIRMED WARRANTS OUT OF JACKSON COUNTY FOR FTA PCS METH/THEFT 2, BAIL $5,000.
1/4/19 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019, at approximately 2:30 pm, deputies saw a large plume of smoke under the Highway 34 Bypass while driving east. They located the fire under the highway next to the railroad tracks. The fire consisted of burning plastic, clothing, and other miscellaneous materials emitting thick yellow smoke. Deputies used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out.
1/4/19 - BCSO ‑ LIVESTOCK AT LARGE.  On January 2, 2019, deputies gave two livestock owners a warning for their two horses and one llama escaping the pasture and defecating on the neighbor's driveway.  This occurred in the 4800 block of NW Palestine Ave in Albany.
1/4/19 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Wednesday January 2, 2019 at about 4:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Granger Ave near the curves for a single vehicle crash. The roads were icy surrounding the area.  The driver lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve and crashed into a fence north of the road.
1/4/19 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES‑INJURY; INTERFERENCE WITH MAKING A REPORT; ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE.  On January 1st, 2019, deputies arrested ALEXIS CISNEROS VILLALOBOS, 20, for D.U.I.I., Reckless driving, Reckless endangering, Failure to perform the duties of a driver/injury, Interfering with making a report, and Assault in the third degree after a traffic crash on Sulphur Springs Road at about milepost 1.5.  His Blood alcohol content was a .18%.
1/4/19 - PURCHASE OR POSSESSION OF LIQUOR BY MINOR.  On January 1, 2019, deputies issued LACEY ROSE MCFADDEN, 19, a citation for Minor in possession of alcohol (by consumption) after a traffic stop on Highway 99W near Milepost 94.
1/4/19 – DUII.  On Monday, December 31, 2018 at approximately 4:20 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 99W near Milepost 77. Caleb Rosburg Fry, 33, consented to field sobriety tests and was arrested DUII.  Deputies transported him to the Law Enforcement Center where he gave a breath sample of 0.15 percent B.A.C.  Fry was cited Fry for DUII and Passing in a No Passing Zone.
1/4/19 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Sunday December 30, 2018 at about 11:15 am, deputies arrived at Highway 34 near milepost 46 for a reported single vehicle crash.  It was later determined that Unit 1 was driving westbound on Highway 34 at "Sixty‑five miles per hour" when his vehicle "Hydroplaned".  The vehicle spun and the rear bumper struck a guardrail on the south side of Highway 34 and went off the roadway.
1/4/19 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Friday, December 28, 2018 at approximately 1:00 PM, a Benton County Parks employee contacted deputies about residential garbage that had been dumped at Hyak Park.  He said that an unknown person had thrown garbage over the riverbank and he was going to clean it up the next day and wanted to report the incident.  He told deputies that if he found anything with information of who might have dumped the garbage he would be in contact.
1/4/19 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 12:01 PM, deputies saw DALTON JAMES DAVIS WILLIAMSON, 28, at 1900 SW 3rd Street in Corvallis. WILLIAMSON had multiple confirmed warrants for his arrest.  Deputies contacted and arrested WILLIAMSON then transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants for: Benton County Parole & Probation, Probation Violation, No Bail; Benton County Circuit Court, PCS Methamphetamine, No Bail; and Benton County Circuit Court, Trespass II, $5,000 Bail.
12/31/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On December 31, 2018 at around 3:05 A.M., deputies stopped Miranda Ruthanne CHRISTENSEN, 23, at NW VanBuren Ave and NW 8th St for a bicycle lighting violation.  CHRISTENSEN was later arrested, transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail for a confirmed warrant and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
12/31/18 - FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES‑PROPERTY; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE  ‑ UNDER $500.  On December 30, 2018, at 3:45 PM, deputies spoke to a resident at the 20000 block of Decker Road in Corvallis.  He reported an unknown person drove over his mailbox within the last 24 hours, causing $80 to $100 in damage. Deputies located fiberglass bumper parts and a part of the passenger side mirror left at the scene. The mirror part number indicated the suspect vehicle was possibly a white 2003 to 2007 GMC or Chevrolet full sized pickup.
12/31/18 - FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT ODL.  On December 30, 2018 at around 2:04 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for a lighting violation.  Dawn Dennice LYMAN, 43, was later arrested, cited and released for Failure to Carry and Present a Driver's License. A valid driver later arrived and drove the vehicle away.
12/31/18 – WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, December 29, 2018, around 11:30 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost 39 for speeding (77/55) and later arrested the driver, Luke Kelly Cashman, 34, on a Multnomah County Circuit Court warrant for Mail Theft.  Cashman was issued a criminal citation for the warrant at the request of Multnomah County.
12/31/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED II CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED IV CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  On Thursday, December 27, 2018 at approximately 11:36 P.M., deputies stopped KAYLA LOUISE RAMOS, 26, for an equipment violation with HEATHER MICHELLE TUGGLE, 38, in the passenger seat. K9 Deputy Tommy had a positive alert on the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. Methamphetamine, Heroin, schedule II controlled substances, and schedule IV controlled substances were located in the vehicle. KAYLA was arrested for PCS Methamphetamine, PCS Sched II, and PCS Sched IV. HEATHER was arrested for PCS Heroin. Both KAYLA and HEATHER were released with criminal citations.
12/31/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, December 27th, 2018 at about 6:15 AM, deputies saw a vehicle fail to maintain their lane of travel.  The driver identified himself with an Oregon driver's license as MOORGUN NASH, 49.  NASH had a confirmed warrant for Failure to Comply on a Trespass charge out of Philomath Police Department.  NASH'S Oregon driver's license was also suspended.  NASH was issued a citation and transported to the Benton County Jail.  When they arrived at the Benton County Jail, deputies, jail was full so NASH was issued a new court date and released.
12/31/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 12/26/18 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:30pm, NEIL, JAMIE, 49, HAD A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA DWS, BAIL $15K. DEPUTIES SERVED THE WARRANT AT THE JAIL, WHICH IS LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET, CORVALLIS.
12/31/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Wednesday, December 26th, 2018, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 99W near milepost 77.  Unit #1 was north on Highway 99W, crossed the southbound lane of travel, and rolled into the field.  The driver didn’t remember what happened and told deputies he was diabetic and requested orange juice.  He was then transported to the Good Samaritan Emergency Room with apparent minor injuries and a diabetic issue.
12/31/18 - UEMV ‑ UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF ‑ 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, December 26, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the front counter of the Sheriff's Office for a theft report.  They spoke with a citizen who reported that he parked on Highway 99W near milepost 73 from about 6:30AM to 9:30AM to hunt ducks.  He said when he returned to his vehicle, he noticed the passenger side window of his vehicle was broken out.  He said a black hat that had the Jump Man symbol holding a shotgun with the words “JUST PEW IT” was stolen from his vehicle.  He also said he had no suspect information and his vehicle was locked.
12/31/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On December 25, 2018 at around 1:46 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at Highway 34 near milepost 2.  Isaias RAMIREZ‑RODRIGUEZ, 24, was later arrested, cited and released for DUII and Reckless Driving after being deemed unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely.  He provided a breath sample resulting in a BAC of 0.11%.  He was released to a sober driver.
12/31/18 - DUII OF DRUGS.  On Sunday, December 23, 2018, at about 8:50 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle for Failure to Obey a One Way Designation and Unlawful or Unsignaled Turn.  They later arrested the driver, Keith Robert McGuckin, 30, for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.  Keith's blood alcohol content was 0.00%.  Keith consented to a DRE evaluation and was released to a sober friend.
12/31/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 12/23/18 at 3:56pm, Urdan Jalel, 21, turned himself into the lobby at the Benton County Jail in Corvallis. Jalel thought he had a warrant for his arrest. Jalel had missed court a couple days earlier. Jalel was issued a new court date and time to appear.
12/31/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Sunday, December 23, 2018, at about 8:00 am, deputies were dispatched to Springhill Road near milepost 2 for a single vehicle crash.  The driver stated he moved over to avoid an oncoming vehicle, which was on or near the yellow centerline.  He stated his right side tires dropped off the side of the roadway and he lost control crashing into a tree in the ditch.
12/31/18 - WARRANT ARREST; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES‑PROPERTY; ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Saturday, December 22, 2018 at about 1:10 P.M., deputies arrested Thomas Wayne Marx, 50, for Fail to perform duties of a driver and a warrant out of Marion County for FTA ‑ Theft II. At around 3:30 A.M., Marx crashed his friend's car on Granger near milepost 1 and walked home without contacting the property owner or Law Enforcement. Marx was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
12/31/18 – WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT ODL; FALSE INFORMATION TO POLICE.  On December 22, 2018 at around 2:41 A.M, deputies stopped a vehicle with switched license plates at NW 1st St and NW Jackson Ave.  The driver, Courtney Sue BELLEMORE, 21, was later arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for multiple warrants and cited for additional charges of PCS Methamphetamine, Giving False Info to Police and Failure to carry and Present License.  The passengers, Timothy David SCOTT, 22, and Nicola John AIELLO‑DIXON, 26, were both cited and released for PCS Methamphetamine.
12/31/18 - DUII; FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT ODL.  On Saturday, December 22, 2018, at about 1:10am, deputies stopped a vehicle on 3rd ST at Washington AVE in Corvallis for illegal display of a registration plate. They later arrested the driver, Keith Alan Tottleben, 46, for DUII after determining that he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Tottleben's blood alcohol content was 0.00. Tottleben provided a urine sample and refused a DRE evaluation. Tottleben was cited and taken to the Benton County jail.
12/31/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MISDEMEANOR; REFUSE BREATH TEST.  On Friday, December 21, 2108 at about 5:05 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at 14th Street near Jefferson Avenue after having previous contact with the driver regarding his intoxication level and attempts at driving. Kurt L Brewer, 37, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving and DWS Misdemeanor. He refused all tests. A telephonic search warrant was granted. Brewer was lodged at Benton County Jail with additional citations for Refusing a Breath Test and Operating an Unsafe Vehicle.
12/14/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, December 13, 2018 at about 13:10 P.M., deputies observed a vehicle drive past at Western Blvd and 6th Street. The front passenger was not wearing her seatbelt. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the passenger as Alexandra Laurana Morales‑Salina, 34.  Alexandra had 3 warrants out of Lebanon, Linn County and Marion County. Alexandra was cited for all three warrants and released.
12/14/18 - ‑ WARRANT ARREST.  On December 13, 2018, Michelle Runyan, 33, TURNED HERSELF IN ON A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA‑THEFT II.  RUNYAN WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
12/14/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, December 13, 2018, deputies were dispatched to 18000 block of Highway 34 for an unknown problem.  They arrived and spoke with RONNIE EUGENE WILKERSON, 48.  WILKERSON had a confirmed felony warrant for Failure to Appear out of Malheur County Circuit Court.  Deputies transported WILKERSON to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
12/14/18 – DUII.  On December 11, 2018, at 5:47 PM, Deputy Williams and I were dispatched to Highway 20 near Garden Avenue in Corvallis for a vehicle in a field. I later arrested the driver Lyle Deford, 69, for DUII after I determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Deford's blood alcohol content was .18%. Deford was cited and released from the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
12/12/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at around 8:00 PM, deputies arrived on Maxfield Creek Rd near MP 2 for what was reported as a single vehicle crash.  Deputies did not find any vehicles that were crashed, but a resident met them at his driveway and explained he had driven off the roadway across from his driveway. A neighbor had already pulled him out and there was no vehicle damage.  He said he was getting his mail and drove off the roadway when he saw a car coming toward him.
12/12/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at about 2:15 A.M., deputies arrested Chelsea Banks, 32, near the Jackson-Frazier Wetland Park for confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court for FTA ‑ Theft II and FTA ‑ Criminal Trespass II. Chelsea was released with a citation for her warrants.
12/12/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On December 10, 2018 3:11 p.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 20000 block of Belknap Road in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded.  The dog was an adult, female, approximately 50 pounds, white and tan mixed breed.  She was wearing an orange nylon collar.  She did not have I.D nor was she micro-chipped.
12/12/18 - BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Monday, December 10, 2018 at about 2:40 P.M., deputies arrived at 20000 block of Bundy Road for a reported burglary and theft.  The resident stated his daughter left the house and locked the doors around noon.  He stated he came home around 2:10 P.M., and noticed the computer was missing from the living room. There were no signs of forced entry and the door was locked. He stated they just changed locks due to a previous break in. The computer taken was a 24” HP All‑in‑One.
12/12/18 - INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; RESISTING ARREST.  On December 10, 2018, at 1:03 AM, deputies attempted to stop Jason Seals, 30, on Washington Avenue and 1st Street in Corvallis for Improper Position on a Highway. Seals initially refused to stop and resisted arrest.  Seals was wearing a tactical vest under his jacket with fully loaded 30 round AR15 magazines. Seals was wearing a backpack with a nonfunctional AR15 concealed inside the backpack. Sears was lodged at the Benton County Jail for Interfering with a Peace Officer and Resisting Arrest.
12/11/18 - IDENTITY THEFT.  On Monday, December 10, 2018 at around 8:00 PM, deputies spoke with a woman by phone about an unknown person opening a Verizon account using her social security number. She received a bill in the mail from Verizon for $326.22.  When she called Verizon, they told her the account was open via the internet using her SSN and address, but the phones were sent to an address in Seaside, OR.  Verizon needed a case number for their investigation into the incident.  She was given a case number for Verizon Fraud Department. Deputies also spoke with her about ways to protect her identity.
12/11/18 – DUII.  On December 9, 2018, at 11:55 PM, deputies stopped Dean Langer, 58, on 3rd Street near Van Buren Avenue in Corvallis for Driving the Wrong Way on a One Way. They later arrested Langer, 58, for DUII after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.  Langer refused to provide a breath test at the Benton County Sheriff's Office.  Langer was cited and released.
12/11/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Sunday, December 09, 2018 at about 10:50 A.M., deputies responded to a crash at Highway 34/Greasy Creek Rd.  Vehicle #1 was driving behind Vehicle #2. Vehicle #1 began to pass vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 turned left to enter a driveway. Vehicle #1 collided with Vehicle #2. No injuries were reported; medics evaluated passengers. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
12/11/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Sunday, December 9, 2018 at about 5:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Rd and Greenberry Rd for a non‑injury crash.  The driver told deputies he fell asleep while traveling west on Greenberry Rd.  His vehicle traveled across Bellfountain Rd, hit a sign and crashed into a ditched. There was about 80 ft of fresh skid marks on Greenberry Rd from the tires.
12/11/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Sunday December 9, 2018 at about 12:10 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at Highway 99W and milepost 103 for failing to maintain lane and a lighting equipment violation. The driver, Chase Brooks, 31, was driving while suspended ‑ misdemeanor. Chase was arrested and booked at the Benton County Jail.
12/11/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF ‑ 2ND DEGREE.  On Saturday, December 8, 2018 at about 8:45 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen by phone who reported sometime late Thursday night (12/06/18) someone slashed all four tires on her GMC Denali, which was parked at her residence on NW Sulpher Springs Road. She stated it cost her $301 to have her vehicle towed and about $850 for four new tires. She stated their security camera can see an unidentified person drive up on a scooter, then puncture all four tires.
12/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, December 9, 2018, at about 12:45 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding and later arrested the driver, Michael Scott Pyron, 31, on a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Theft III, $0.00 bail.  Pyron was issued a summons to appear for the warrant and released.
12/10/18 – DUII.  On Saturday, December 8, 2018, at around 10:45pm, deputies stopped a vehicle near milepost 35 on Highway 20 for failure to drive within its lane. They later arrested the driver, Rachelle Maureen Province, 30, for DUII after it was determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Province's blood alcohol content was 0.12. Province was cited and released to a sober driver.
12/10/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE ‑ BY DECEPTION.  On December 7, 2018 about 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to S 7th St, Monroe.  A citizen reported a possible scam involving Consumer Payday Loans, an online loan company.  She explained while trying to secure a loan, the company requested $50 in the form of a Google Play Card.  She provided the company the numbers on the back of the card on 12/6/2018.  The company called back and requested an additional $200 before the loan could be approved.  She then became suspicious and contacted BCSO.  Deputies explained the telltale signs of a scam and recommended she contact the FTC and her bank to make them aware of what happened.
12/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Dec. 7, 2018 at approximately 0950, Christopher James Kosack, 42, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail lobby and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at the Benton County Circuit Courthouse.  A valid warrant was confirmed with records and served: FTA ‑ PCS Meth.  Kosack was released on five day rule with a new court date.
12/10/18 - UEMV ‑ UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On December 6, 2018 at about 6:00 pm, deputies spoke with a citizen who reported sometime the night of December 5th, his unlocked vehicle was broken into while parked in his driveway on N 9th St, Monroe.  He reported hearing footsteps in gravel outside his residence at about 3:45 am.  The unknown subject stole a streamlight handgun rail flashlight valued at $125 from the center console.  Deputies recommended that he lock and remove valuable items from his vehicles while parked.
12/10/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Thursday, December 6, 2018 at approximately 3:50pm, deputies were dispatched to SE 3rd and SW Herbert Avenue for an injury traffic crash. The driver of vehicle 1 said me he was driving southbound on 3rd Street when he noticed the traffic in front of him had stopped. He was not able to stop before crashing into the back of vehicle 2.  He and the second vehicle’s passenger was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries. Deputies cited vehicle 1 for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and following too closely.
12/10/18 - BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Thursday, December 6, 2018 at approximately 9:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center.  She said on Wednesday while she was gone, someone entered her residence on Northeast Azalea Drive and stole a small amount of marijuana, four Xanax pills, and an unopen bottle of vodka.  She said the house is sometimes left unlocked and that her dog walker may have left the house unlocked around 1:00 P.M.  She did not know who may have entered her house.
12/10/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On December 5th, 2018, deputies arrested RONALD JUSTIN KOETZ, 38, for Unlawful possession of Methamphetamine and Driving while revoked/misdemeanor after a traffic stop on Highway 34 near Vernon Road.
12/10/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On December 5, 2018 3:53 p.m., deputies were dispatched to NW Michelle Drive in Corvallis for a dog in custody.  Deputies transported an adult female black and white pit bull to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded.  The dog was not wearing a collar nor was she micro chipped.
12/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Dec. 5, 2018 at approximately 1600, inmate Sweeden, Shane, 48, brought to the jail’s attention that he had missed a court appearance immediately prior to intake and he was concerned that he may have an active warrant for his arrest.  A valid Benton County Circuit Court warrant was confirmed with county records for Dis Con II and FTA II, bail $30,000.  This warrant was served and cleared.  Sweeden was not lodged for this warrant but remained lodged on a PPS sanction.
12/10/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On December 5, 2018 12:10 p.m., deputies gave a dog owner living on Llewellyn Road in Corvallis a warning for two of his four dogs escaping the yard and running at large.
12/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On December 3 2018, Brenda Wyatt, 42, turned herself into the jail lobby for a confirmed warrant for FTA‑Criminal Trespass II.
12/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST; DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Sunday, December 2nd 2018 at about 5:00 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near Walnut Blvd. for a traffic violation.  Dispatch indicated the driver, CHRISTINE ANN BENNETT, 30, had an outstanding Warrant out of Linn County Justice Court.  Deputies arrested BENNET and later arrested the passenger, BRYAN JAMES WATTS, 43.  Both were cited and released in the field.
12/6/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On December 4, 2018, Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on Highway 34 approaching Stovall Lane.  Vehicle #2 was in front of Vehicle #1.  Vehicle #2 stopped due to a vehicle turning in front of him onto Stovall Lane.  Vehicle #1 ran into the back of Vehicle #2.  Neither vehicle needed towed from the scene.  The driver of vehicle #1 was cited for Open Container and Following Too Close.  Neither driver complained of pain at the scene.
12/6/18 – WARRANT ARREST.  On December 5, 2018, Alexis Carillo, 21, turned herself into the Benton County Jail on a confirmed warrant.  Carillo was cited and released.
12/6/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Dec. 5, 2018 at approximately 9:11am, Shonna Reed, 35, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail for a confirmed warrant for having failed to appear at court.  She had 2 active Circuit warrants for FTA ‑ trespass II.  Reed was cited and released with a new court date.
12/6/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On December 2, 2018 at approximately 11:20PM, deputies were dispatched to Oak Creek Dr near Ridgewood Dr for a crash. Wesley PETERSON, 18, had been driving fast and lost control as he tried to negotiate a curve. PETERSON's vehicle spun and crashed into two pickup trucks, which were parked in a driveway adjacent to Oak Creek Dr. Deputies arrested Wesley PETERSON for Reckless Driving. PETERSON was issued a criminal citation en lieu of custody and transported him home.
12/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 12/4/18, HENDERSON, Catherine, 25, turned herself in for a confirmed warrant for FTA ID Theft, bail of 15,000‑00.  HENDERSON was released with a new court date.
12/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 12/4/18, SANTOS, Leroy, 23, turned himself in for a confirmed warrant for FTA Theft III, with no bail.  SANTOS was given a new court date and released.
12/5/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning an incident that occurred on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  She said they she was riding her bicycle south on highway 99W near Arboretum Road.  She said an orange 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser threw a soda bottle out the window nearly striking her.  A driver was behind the PT cruiser and witnessed the event.  Neither the driver, nor the cyclist could identify a driver or passengers in the vehicle.
12/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 12/4/18, JANS, Luke W, 34, turned himself in for a confirmed warrant for FTA Forge II warrant out of Albany Municipal, 5000‑00 bail. Albany Police gave issued a cite in lieu of custody.
12/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at about 11:37 am, deputies arrived on Crescent Valley Drive west of Highland Drive for a reported single vehicle crash.  It was later determined that the driver slid on ice on a corner, and drove off the road into the ditch on the south side of Crescent Valley Drive.  The vehicle was later towed out of the ditch.  Minimal damage to the vehicle and no injury.
12/5/18 - BCSO ‑ TRAFFIC MOVING.  On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at about 11:08 am, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near milepost 77 for being reported as failing to maintain lane.  Deputies spoke with the driver, who stated she swerved earlier to avoid some debris in the roadway.
12/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 12/4/18, MACKIE, Dustin, 38, turned himself in for a confirmed warrant for FTA Disorderly Conduct II, 7,500‑00 bail.  MACKIE was issued a court date and released.
12/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at about 7:25 am, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road near Chapel Drive for the report of a crash. The driver said he was traveling north on Bellfountain when he began to slide due to the icy conditions. He was unable to correct his vehicle. The vehicle started to fishtail, spun around and came to rest in the ditch.
12/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at about 7:00 am, deputies were dispatched to SW Reservoir Avenue near SW 53rd Street for the report of a crash. The driver said she was traveling east on Reservoir and as she entered the curve in the road she began to slide due to the icy conditions. She was unable to correct her vehicle. The vehicle struck the ditch and rolled.
12/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, deputies responded to a single vehicle non injury crash.  The driver was southbound on highway 99W when she lost control of her vehicle crossing the bridge near milepost 101.  Her vehicle hit the guardrail two times before coming to rest on Highway 99W. The roads were wet and icy.
12/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On December 4, 2018 at around 1:58 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Drive near milepost 4 for a reported single vehicle crash.  The driver was traveling north on NW Springhill Drive when her tires began wobbling and pulling to the right.  As she corrected to stay on the roadway, her car jerked hard left and rolled one time landing on its side.  Albany Fire Department evaluated POWELL on scene and released her.
12/4/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On November 30, 2018 at around 5:17 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99 near milepost #92 for a reported single vehicle crash.  The driver was southbound on Highway 99 when something hit the upper left corner of the driver's side windshield causing damage to the windshield, A‑Frame, cab and door.  He did not see what hit the truck but it caused damage to the windshield, door and cab.  It appeared a log of some sorts is what caused the damage due to the amount of tree bark inside the cab and in the roadway. The driver was evaluated and released on scene by the Corvallis Fire Department for minor lacerations caused by glass.
12/4/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, November 26, 2018 at about 1:10 P.M., deputies arrived to Decker Rd Milepost 2 for a non‑injury crash. The driver was traveling south on Decker Rd near milepost 2. He was hauling logs in 2013 Kenworth and lost control of his trailer causing the trailer to hit an embankment and turn onto its side.
12/5/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE  ‑ UNDER $500.  On Monday, December 3, 2018 at about 8:13 am, deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Drive for the report of a hit and run. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the resident who said he came outside and noticed his mailbox had been smashed and knocked off the post. He said the mailbox was intact yesterday morning, when he went out to get the newspaper.
12/5/18 - DUII OF DRUGS.  On Friday, November 30, 2018, at about 9:52 a.m., deputies stopped TAREK WANLI, 20, for fail to signal with lights, and failure to obey a traffic control device on SW 5th Street near SW Jefferson Avenue.  While speaking with WANLI during the stop, he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.  WANLI consented to SFST's, and failed.  Deputies arrested WANLI for DUII (controlled substance), and transported him to the Benton County Law Enforcement Center basement where he was processed for DUII.  WANLI had a .00% BAC and was cited and released for DUII, and issued him a citation for No Operators License.
12/3/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, November 30, 2018 at about 12:00 P.M., deputies located William Keith Samples, 42, on Old River Road. Deputies arrested Samples for a confirmed warrant out of Monmouth municipal court for FTA ‑ DUII, $6250 Bail.
12/3/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Sunday, December 2, 2018 at about 1:54 pm, deputies arrived on NW Lewisburg Avenue near NW Shasta Avenue for a reported single vehicle crash.  It was later determined that the driver fell asleep while driving her vehicle westbound on NW Lewisburg Avenue at about 45 to 50 miles per hour.  The vehicle came to a stop in a hedge and fence at on NW Lewisburg Avenue.
12/3/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Friday, November 30th, 2018 at about 12:45 AM, deputies saw a vehicle fail to use a turn signal when changing lanes at the end of a passing lane near Highway 20 and milepost 36.  Deputies contacted and identified the driver as, EPICA JOANN PREUITT, 46.  PREUITT was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
12/3/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On November 30, 2018 3:00 p.m., deputies issued a dog owner from Cecil Lane in Alsea a citation.  The citation was for two of her dogs running at large and chasing, menacing a neighbor as he was walking past her residence.  The incident occurred on November 27, 2018 around 11:00 a.m.
12/3/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday, November 26th, 2018, at approximately 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash with injuries on Highway 223 near milepost 25. They arrived to a vehicle 1, facing south in the west ditch and a Ford tractor facing north in the east ditch. The driver of vehicle 1 was in shock and being treated by medics. He said he was driving North on Highway 223 and rear-ended a tractor. He said the tractor had no lights on it and was unable to see the tractor in the dark. Vehicle 1 sustained major front end damage and the tractor was marked with tape and left in the ditch to be picked up at a later date.
12/3/18 – DUII; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES‑INJURY; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED IV CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; TAMPERING WITH DRUG RECORDS.  On November 26th, 2018 at about 1:00 AM, deputies were on a crash scene on Highway 20 near Garland Nursery when they heard a car approaching that sounded like something was dragging on the ground.  They saw a gray car drive past the scene that appeared to be dragging the front bumper.  They stopped the driver, MATTHEW JAMES EDWARDS, 21, for operating an unsafe vehicle and fail to drive within lane.  They subsequently arrested EDWARDS for DUII, Fail to Perform the Duties of a Driver‑Property, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Tampering with Drug Records.  At the Sheriff's Office, EDWARDS submitted a breath sample of .03% BAC.  Deputies performed a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation on EDWARDS and then transported EDWARDS home and released him to his parents, who were sober.
12/3/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF ‑ 2ND DEGREE; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES‑PROPERTY.  On Friday, November 23, 2018 at about 2:30 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident, who reported that sometime within the past few days, someone drove off Highway 99 and crashed into his barbed wire fence on Highway 99. Deputies recovered a piece of the vehicle which had a parts sticker on it, identifying the suspect vehicle. Deputies have contacted the National Insurance Crime Bureau for assistance in locating any claims with similar damage.
11/30/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, November 29, 2018 at approximately 1:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a woman regarding suspicious activity on Old Peak Road.  She said she believes a number of houseless persons have started living at property on Old Peak Road.  She said on the evening of November 28, she saw a male staggering down the road shining flashlights into the yards of the nearby residences.  She said she is concerned because the last time this was a problem at this property, she and other residences had property stolen.  She also said she is concerned with the number of people living at the residence.  The case was forwarded to County code compliance and environmental health.
11/30/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 29, 2018, Alberto Nunez, 26, turned himself in on a confirmed warrant for FTA‑ PCS HEROIN, ESCAPE III.  Nunez was cited and released with a new court date.
11/30/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Wednesday, November 27, 2018 at about 2:30 p.m., a resident found her home on Bundy Road had been entered and stuff had been rifled through. Two knitted heirloom blankets and some baby wipes had been taken. Everyone contacted denied stealing the blankets and entering the home.
11/30/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS ‑ 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at about 2:30 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident by phone. She stated between October 29, 2018 and November 21, 2018 someone stole items from an unlocked trailer parked in a pole barn on SW Allen Street, Corvallis. She stated 3 Packages of LED lights, Electric heater, scissors, lawn garbage bags, and 5 black sharpies were taken. The overall value of the items taken was about $413. There is no suspect information at this time.
11/30/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at about 7:53 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Coon Road and Kyle Road for a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival, deputies observed a motor home being pulled out of the ditch by a tow truck. The driver said he was driving west on Coon Road and swerved to avoid hitting a deer. He lost control and crashed into the ditch. He said he did not hit the deer and was not injured.
11/30/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 11/28/18, JONES, Jeremiah, 29, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a confirmed Benton Co warrant for FTA‑PCS Meth.   Jones was cited and released with a new court date.
11/30/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at about 11:05 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 3rd Street near 3 Mile Avenue, for a single vehicle crash.  The driver was attempting to back into a residence and drove into the ditch.  The driver was not injured and the vehicle just needed to be towed out of the ditch onto the roadway.
11/30/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 11/28/18, DAVIS, Darren, 33, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a confirmed Benton Co warrant for FTA DUII.  Davis was cited and released with a new court date.
11/30/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING; ATTEMPT TO ELUDE ‑ FLEE IN VEHICLE.  On Monday, November 26, 2018 at approximately 12:45am, deputies attempted to stop Dominick HOWLAND, 18, for speeding near Highway 20 and milepost 7.  HOWLAND accelerated west bound on Highway 20, up to speeds of approximately 120mph ignoring emergency lights and audible siren. HOWLAND lost control of his vehicle near Highway 20 and milepost 5 and crashed off the North shoulder of the Highway. HOWLAND was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was transported to Good Samaritan by Corvallis EMS. Deputies issued him citations for speeding, driving while unlicensed, driving while uninsured, attempt to elude in a vehicle and reckless driving.
11/30/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Saturday, November 24, 2018 at approximately 9:25 P.M., deputies arrived in the area of Northeast Laurel Drive for a report of suspicious activity.  Dispatch stated someone was looking through the windows at the residence with a flashlight.  Deputies spoke with a man who told them he was looking for his friend and was knocking on the door at their house.  He said he was needing help moving his other vehicle because it was broken down
11/30/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On November 25, 2018, a citizen reported that a worker with her landscaping service left a 10 page, handwritten, sexually explicit letter on her doorstep.  The letter also contained a memory card containing approximately 151 sexually explicit photos of himself.  The letter was meant for the citizen’s daughter, who was visiting her from out of state.  The man is a registered sex offender for Sex Abuse in the First Degree and is on Post‑Prison supervision out of Lane County.  Deputies contacted the on‑call DDA and the on‑call Lane County Probation Officer.  The on‑call PO said this is not a violation of the man’s probation.
11/30/18 - CHILD NEGLECT IN THE 2ND DEGREE; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Friday, November 23, 2018, at about 6:50pm, deputies received information stating there were children left in a vehicle, while the father was packing elk out of the woods. The children had been in the vehicle about three hours. The father, Christopher Skaggs, 39, was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail.
11/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, deputies arrested Levi Garrett Barden, 30, at the LEC on a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court FTA Criminal Driving while suspended or revoked, fail to drive within lane, and fail to appear II warrant, $25,000.00 bail. Barden was booked at the Benton County Jail.
11/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, CABRERA, Holly M, 35, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail on a confirmed warrant for FTA Criminal Trespass I and FTA II out of the Benton County Circuit Court, with a 20,000-00 bail. The other was an Albany Municipal Cite and Release warrant for Contempt of Court with no bail.  CABRERA was issued new court dates on both warrants.
11/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, RYNING, Justin A, 34, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail on a confirmed warrant for a cite and release indictment warrant for DUII, Reckless Endangering x 2, and Reckless Driving, with a bail of 45,000-00. The other was an FTA DUII, with a bail of 10,000-00. RYNING was issued a new court date and time.
11/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, November 27th, 2018, at approximately 10:40 pm, deputies were assisting Philomath Police Department in locating a person they had probable cause to arrest in Corvallis. They entered the home finding West Allen Trontvet, 28 hiding in the bathroom. While Trontvet was not the person of interest, he was discovered to have a Felony Warrant for his arrest for: Burglary in the First Degree, no bail; Albany Municipal Court, Theft in the Second Degree, $6,670 bail, and Albany Municipal Court, Theft in the Third Degree, $1,310 bail.  Trontvet was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
11/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED II CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  On Sunday, November 25th, 2018, at approximately 10:40 pm, deputies arrested Maria Reilly-Chase on multiple warrants and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged. While inventorying her property for safekeeping, deputies found drug paraphernalia and Schedule II Controlled Substances. Maria was issued a criminal citation for PCS Methamphetamine and PCS Schedule II Controlled Substance.
11/28/18 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On Monday, November 26, 2018 at about 12:44 pm, deputies spoke with a business owner on NW 4th Street concerning a reported stolen trailer. He reported unknown suspect(s) cut a chain to a gate on SW Reservoir and took a 2002 Big Tex Dump Trailer.
11/26/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Monday, November 26, 2018, at about 2:29 am, deputies were dispatched to NW Highway 99W in Corvallis for a juvenile urinating on the front steps of a trailer. They arrived and spoke with the resident who said she heard someone urinating and thought it was 10:00 am. There was no indication anyone urinated on her steps. She has called in numerous times about suspicious activity, with no sign of any
11/26/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 26, 2018, at 10:40 PM, deputies contacted Albert Nollen, 44, in front of the Circle K, 1900 SW 3rd Street in Corvallis. Nollen had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear/ Theft III, Bail $10,000. The Benton County Jail issued Nollen a new court date.  Nollen was cited and released from the scene.
11/26/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Sunday, November 25th, 2018, at approximately 7:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress on Highway 20 near Philomath.  They arrived to find the caller standing in the driveway. He said he did not recognize the car parked next to the house. After running the vehicle through dispatch, it was found to belong to his aunt and uncle.  He  said they were okay to be in the house and after confirming that both the aunt and uncle were in the house, the caller entered the home.
11/26/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT ODL.  On Sunday, November 25, 2018 at approximately 12:10am, deputies stopped Joshua CORIELL, 31, for a traffic violation near SW 3rd Street and SW B Street in Corvallis. CORIELL consented to a search of his vehicle. Deputies located 4.5 grams total package weight of white substance consistent with methamphetamine, a functional digital scale and a glass pipe with a white crystal substance inside it. Deputies cited and released CORIELL with citations for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, failure to carry or present an operator's license, failure to use appropriate signal for turn and driving while suspended.
11/26/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On November 23, 2018, at about 9:04 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near Camp Adair Road for a single‑vehicle rollover crash.  The driver was south on Highway 99W when he fell asleep and drove off the roadway and rolled his vehicle in the crash.  Two passengers were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by the Corvallis Fire Department.  The driver and two remaining passengers were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
11/26/18 – DUII.  On November 23, 2018 at around 8:36 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for failure to drive with lane and failure to obey a traffic control device at NW VanBuren Ave and NW 8th St.  Matthew Leland COLEMAN, 34, was later arrested, cited and released for DUII after being deemed unfit to operate a vehicle safely.  He provided a breath sample and his BAC was 0.11%.
11/26/18 - ABANDON VEHICLES.  On Friday, November 23, 2018 at approximately 6:15pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of McFarland Road and Dawson Road for a reported abandoned boat. Deputies located the boat approximately a quarter mile east of McFarland Road on Dawson Road. The HIN, registration sticker and identifying marks had been removed or spray painted over. The boat was off the shoulder clear of the fog line. Deputies wrapped the boat in Sheriff's Office tape and placed a tow tag in a conspicuous location.
11/26/18 – DUII.  On Friday, November 23, 2018 at around 5:35 PM, deputies arrived at the intersection of SW West Hills Road and SW Reservoir Ave to a vehicle off the roadway.  They contacted the driver, Nichole Rutland, 38, and started a DUII investigation.  Deputies arrested Rutland after determining she was impaired beyond a perceptible degree to drive a vehicle safely.  They transported Rutland to the Sheriff's Office where she gave a breath sample of .17 BAC.  Rutland was released to her husband outside the Sheriff's Office.
11/26/18 – DUII.  On Friday, November 23, 2018, at about 5:20 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle for suspicion of DUII and Indecent Exposure.  They later arrested the driver, Scott William Spears, 50, for DUII after it was determined Spears was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.  Spears' blood alcohol content was 0.09%.  Spears was released to his sober wife.
11/26/18 - INITIATING A FALSE REPORT.  On Friday, November 23, 2018, deputies were dispatched to contact MAXWELL RAY BARBER, 23, concerning a hit and run.  Deputies spoke with BARBER by telephone who said on Friday, November 23, 2018, at about 12:18AM, a semi‑truck struck his vehicle at the intersection of NE Highway 20 and NE Independence Highway.  MAXWELL said the truck did not stop and continued towards Albany.  MAXWELL later admitted that the story was not true and he crashed in Downtown Albany at the Intersection of 2nd and Lyons.  Deputies issued MAXWELL a citation for Initialing a False Report.
11/26/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On November 21, 2018, Vehicle #1 was driving south on Highway 223 through the intersection at Maxfield Creek Road when Vehicle #2 pulled out in front of Vehicle #1, attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 223.  Vehicle #2 was towed from the scene while Vehicle #1 was driven from the scene with front-end damage.  Vehicle #2 failed to yield the right of way as there was a Stop sign for vehicle #2.  There were no injuries.
11/26/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at about 1:45 P.M., Vehicle 1 was driving North on Luckiamute Road and stated she did not remember what happened next. Vehicle #1 drove off the roadway, through a tree, and stopped at the bottom of the ditch. The driver reported minor injuries and was transported by a neighbor to their residence.  The driver declined medical attention.
11/26/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On November 21, 2018 at around 05:32 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W near milepost 74.  A driver struck a deer crossing the roadway.  The collision with the animal caused significant front end damage to his car.  He was not injured but the car was not able to operate from the crash.
11/26/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On November 17, 2018 at approximately 2:00AM, deputies stopped Jed MITCHELL, 38, for Failure to Maintain Lane and suspicion of DUII on Oak Creek Dr near Walnut Blvd. MITCHELL had a slack appearance, was slow and sluggish in his movements, and spoke with slurred speech. MITCHELL initially denied drinking alcohol, but deputies smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from MITCHELL when he spoke. Jed MITCHELL consented to field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving. MITCHELL consented to providing a breath test. MITCHELL's blood alcohol content was 0.17%. MITCHELL was booked at the Benton County Jail and later released.
11/26/18 – DUII.  On November 17, 2018 at around 12:29 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle for failure to drive within its lane at SW Philomath Blvd and SW Technology Lp.  Tristan Tyler ROSS, 22, was later arrested, cited and released for DUII after being deemed unfit to operate a motor vehicle safely following field sobriety tests.  His bac was 0.17% and his car was towed.
11/26/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Friday, November 16, 2018 at approximately 12:40 A.M., a man was riding a motorcycle on Highway 34 near Benner Creek Road when he drove off the south side of the road.  The motorcycle was damaged and needed to be towed.  He was later cited for Driving While Suspended.
11/26/18 - ONLINE SEXUAL CORRUPTION OF A CHILD.  On November 14, 2018, deputies arrested ANATOLIY OBEDKOV, 42, of Salem, for Online Sexual Corruption of a Child I and Purchasing Sex with a Minor.
11/21/18 - SURRENDER ANIMAL.  On November 19, 2018, deputies performed a public assistance for an animal owner who was in the hospital.  The owner read and signed the Animal Surrender Contract, surrendering two animals to deputies.  They then transported the animals from their residence to the Heartland Humane Society.
11/21/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, November 19, 2018 at about 2:04 pm, deputies were dispatched to a non‑injury traffic crash about 100 yards east of Hyak Park on Highway 20.  Unit 1 was driving westbound on Highway 20 when he fell asleep at the wheel.  According to a witness following him, he slowly drove to the right and down into the ditch.  The driver said he was not injured.
11/21/18 - HARASSMENT‑TELEPHONE/WRITTEN CRIMINAL THREAT.  On Monday, November 19, at about 9:20 A.M., deputies spoke with a woman by telephone regarding a harassment. She stated Kimberly Lopez, 40, said, “I will shoot you if I see you.” At about 10:30 A.M., deputies arrived to E. Alder St. Kimberly was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail.
11/21/18 - BCSO ‑ DOG AT LARGE.  On Monday, November 19, 2018 at about 11:02, deputies arrived at Powers Avenue and Scenic Drive for a found dog.  They later transported the dog (medium size, female brindle, red color, with name tag, to Heartland Humane Society.
11/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 20, 2018, at 3:00 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on North Albany Road near NW Hickory Street in Albany for a white light to the rear. The front seat passenger, Tera Henry‑Shook, 33, had a confirmed warrant for her arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court for Probation Violation, Possession of Methamphetamine, No Bail. Deputies transported Henry‑Shook to the Benton County Jail and lodged her there on the warrant.
11/20/18 - PROBATION VIOLATION.  On Monday, November 19, 2018 at around 6:10 PM, deputies arrived on Highway 20 near Garrett Lane to check on the welfare of a male walking westbound. They spoke with the male, later identified as Ivan M Rich, 69, who said he was walking to Toledo.  Deputies learned Rich is on probation.  BCSO P&P Deputies placed a detainer on Rich after being told he was not planning on meeting with her after he got out of jail that day and was heading to Washington State.  Rich was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
11/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 19th 2018, MUNOZ, Richard A JR, 57, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail for 2 confirmed warrants: FTA Resisting Arrest, 15,000‑00 bail, FTA Contempt of Court/Punitive, 15,000‑00 Bail. Munoz was given a new court date and time.
11/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 19th 2018, GOMEZ, Joseph R, 35, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail for 5 confirmed misdemeanor warrants: FTA Criminal Trespass II, 5000‑00 bail; FTA Dis Con II, 10,000‑00 bail; FTA PCS Meth, 10,000‑00 bail; FTA Criminal Trespass II, 10,000‑00 bail; FTA Attempt to Commit a Class C Felony, UEMV, and Attempt to Commit a Class A Misdemeanor, 40,000‑00 bail.  GOMEZ was released with a new court date.
11/19/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  At around 4:38 PM on November 17th, 2018, deputies spoke with citizens at the Law Enforcement Center. They said a strange phone number called them and claimed they won 3.6 million dollars. They were asked to drive to Safeway on Philomath Blvd to receive their prize. They were called again and asked to send a fee via Western Union to pay for transferring the money. They found this suspicious and drove to the Law Enforcement Center to report it.
11/19/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On November 18, 2018, Vehicle 1 was traveling west on Highway 20 approaching Highway 34.  Vehicle 1 struck a deer in the middle of the lane.  The deer ran off. No one was injured.  Vehicle 1 was driven from the scene.
11/19/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Saturday, November 17th, 2018, at approximately 4:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious activity at Adair Frontage Road and Highway 99W.  Deputies responded for a possible poaching of elk.  They arrived to find a group of hunters in their cars, over-looking a field.  Deputies checked the hunting regulations and permit they had and the group was in the area they were allowed to hunt legally.
11/19/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 17th, 2018, PINEDO, Anthony R, 52, turned himself on a confirmed warrant for FTA Criminal Trespass II, with a bail of 5000‑00. PINEDO was given a new court date and time.
11/19/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 17th, 2018, ACOSTA, Dezmeree A, 32, turned herself in at the jail lobby on a confirmed warrant for FTA Child Neglect II, and Reckless Endangering Another Person, with a bail of 25,000‑00.  ACOSTA was released with a new court date and time.
11/19/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 11/16/18 AT APPROXIMATELY 0040, JAIL DEPUTIES RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE STATE OF KY ADVISING THEY HAD A WARRANT FOR FARRELL‑ANDREW, LANDRE, 30. FARRELL‑ANDREWS HAD A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR ROBERY. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON FARRELL‑ANDREWS WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE JAIL 190 NW 4TH STREET IN CORVALLIS.
11/19/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, November 15, 2018 at about 8:22 pm, deputies were dispatched to Crandall Avenue for a possible prowler. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the resident who said he heard multiple people around his front door and vehicle. The property is completely closed with a fence and gate. He said he heard at least two people running away from his property, jumping the fence, and running through the thick grass. Deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area.
11/19/18 – DUII.  On Sunday, November 11, 2018 at approximately 1:55am, deputies stopped Corbin AVILA, 20, near SW 3rd Street and SW Twin Oaks for a traffic violation. They arrested AVILA for DUII and transported him to the Law Enforcement Center. AVILA provided a breath sample of 0.06% BAC. A Drug Recognition Expert performed a drug evaluation and it was his opinion that AVILA was under the combined influence of alcohol and cannabis. AVILA was issued citations for DUII, failure to signal a lane change and minor in possession of alcohol. Deputies transported him to Finley Hall at the Oregon State University.
11/19/18 - IDENTITY THEFT.  On Thursday, November 15th, 2018, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning an Identity Theft.  The caller said his wife received a letter from Samsung Financing thanking her for opening her new credit card.  He said she didn't open this account and canceled it.
11/19/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at about 3:10 P.M., Unit 1 attempted to turn left onto Circle Boulevard from Highway 20 and struck Unit 2 as she was driving east on Highway 20 towards Corvallis. The driver of Unit 2 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Room for complaint of pain. Both vehicles were towed.
11/19/18 – DUII.  On Saturday, November 3, 2018 at about 12:15 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for an improper right turn at Van Buren Ave near 3rd Street after it turned left in front of a vehicle travelling straight through a green light. The driver, Ramon Munoz Jr., 22, was later arrested for DUII. He provided a breath sample of .06% BAC.  Ramon was cited and released.
11/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 15, 2018 at about 6:45 pm, deputies stopped Shereen Renee Rolen, 33, near 3rd and Twin Oaks for multiple traffic violations while riding a bicycle.  Rolen had three confirmed warrants for her arrest: 1) Umatilla County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA‑Dangerous Drug and Theft II, $200000 bail; 2) Umatilla County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA I, $40000 bail; and 3) Lincoln County Circuit Court Warrant, FTA‑Possess Amphetamine, $15000 bail.  Deputies arrested Rolen and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
11/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Wednesday, November 15, 2018, Vehicle #1 was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 as it approached a left curve in the highway. Vehicle #1 did not negotiate the curve and went straight into the shoulder. The passenger side rear area of the vehicle collided with a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest in the south side ditch off the highway.
11/16/18 - DWS FELONY.  On Wednesday, November 15, 2018 at about 9:50 A.M., deputies arrested David Russell Rhinehart, 35, for Driving While Suspended Felony. Deputies transported David to the Benton County Jail where he was cited him for DWS ‑ Felony and failure to signal when changing lanes.
11/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, November 13th, 2018, at approximately 7:00 pm, deputies responded to Highway 34 at the Highway 34 bypass for a non‑injury crash. The driver said he was at the light getting ready to turn right and drive east on Highway 34, when a semi truck struck the front of the van as it was turning right and proceeded east on Highway 34 without stopping.
11/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On November 13th, 2018, at approximately 1400 hours, NOVAK, Kimberly, 49, turned herself in at the Benton County jail, and expressed that she has a warrant. Novak had a confirmed Misdemeanor warrant for FTA DUII, Reckless Endangering, Reckless Driving with a bail of $30,000. Deputies cited and released her with a new court date, and time.
11/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at about 7:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Overlook Dr. and McDonald Circle for a non‑injury crash. Unit 1 was traveling south on McDonald Circle and lost control of his vehicle and crashed onto private property, causing damage to his trees and moderate damage.
11/16/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On November 12th, 2018 at about 4:44 PM, deputies responded to Highway 20 and Independence Road for a report of a crash.  Unit 1 turned off of Independence Road, east bound onto Highway 20.  Unit 2 was westbound on Highway 20.  Unit 1’s view of Unit 2 was blocked by a vehicle in the turn lane preparing to turn north bound onto Independence Highway.  Unit 1 was struck by Unit 2.
11/16/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On November 8, 2018 at approximately 10:05PM, deputies stopped Matthew ARENA‑EASTON, 39, for Failure to Maintain Lane and suspicion of DUII on Highway 99W near milepost 95. ARENA‑EASTON was fidgety and restless and had difficulties sitting still. ARENA‑EASTON refused to do field sobriety tests and initially refused to do tests. Deputies arrested ARENA‑EASTON for DUII and Reckless Driving.
