Emergency Preparedness Fair
Sunday, September 8, 2019 - 3:00pm to 7:00pm
Find out what your community is doing to respond to emergencies and how you and your family can prepare. Join County Response Teams and local vendors at the free, family-friendly EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FAIR. This event is sponsored by the Emergency Services Division of the Benton County Sheriff's Office. Disasters happen. Prepare now. Learn how.
Sunday, September 8th, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
New location! Philomath Frolic and Rodeo grounds, see map below for directions.
Government, public safety, community organizations and local businesses will all be on hand. They'll provide important information about community response to emergencies and how you can prepare. (Products and services offered at the Fair are provided for information only and do not imply an endorsement by Benton County or the Benton County Sheriff's Office.)
Corvallis Mountain Rescue Unit, Sheriff's Mounted Posse, R3K9 Search and Rescue, CERT, and other community response teams will be on hand to demonstrate how they respond in an emergency and to answer questions.
Bring the kids! They can pet the Posse horses, meet the search and rescue dogs, and climb into the Mobile Command Vehicle. Parents: we ask that you please stay with your child - thanks!
How much does it cost to attend? Nothing! This event is FREE.
The annual "Public Safety Chili Cook-Off" is also being held at the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo grounds this year and will be located in the beer garden. Check out their Facebook page for all the details by "clicking here".
