Special Event - Marys Peak CleanUp

Volunteers at MarysPeak CleanUp

Congratulations to all the great volunteers who came out to Marys Peak....you did a fantastic job helping to clean up our public lands!

Nearly 50 volunteers from as far away as Portland and Vancouver, Washington came to help remove trash from the popular recreational shooting site on Marys Peak. The Benton County Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the United States Forest Service (USFS), and Trash No Land, sponsored the clean-up on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Special thanks to the businesses who donated door prizes and food for the hungry volunteers.

Volunteers picked up everything from shell casings, to bowling pins, to upholstered chairs. All the community support for getting our public lands cleaned up was great to see - thanks!
